when reid got poisoned by anthrax it must've been so scary when he got to the point of aphasia considering how valuable speech is to him. articulating his thoughts and sharing his knowledge is what he relied on, his brain is such an important asset and part of who he is that the moment he realized he was speaking nonsense must have terrified him to the max

The ending of “Amplification” is absolutely hilarious, because
there are two high-stakes situations at the same time: Reid dying and the bloke threatening to release anthrax. The episode’s climax is the resolution of the latter, and from that the tension is released! We transition into the gently heartwarming scenes of JJ and Hotch smiling as they reconnect with their families- aw! - and Emily and Rossi discussing moral boundaries- here be the Food for Thought™️
but whilst all this Lovely Heartwarming True Meaning of Life stuff is going on… the first high-stakes situation is left hanging. Nobody is concerned in the slightest that Reid is still coughing up his internal organs.
Perfect editing. No notes.

HOW THEY USED TO ROCK -- "BECAUSE ROCKERS IS WHAT WE REALLY ARE."
PIC INFO: Spotlight on English rock and roll band THE BEATLES, during the band's early five-piece era with the late, great Stuart Sutcliffe on bass guitar, c. 1962, Hamburg, Germany (I think). The group were then known to use Selmer amplification during this time period.
PIC #2: Vintage print advertisement for Selmer amplification, c. early '60s, London, UK.

this scene makes me sooo sick like reid rushing to shut the door, both shouting the other’s name, morgan’s absolute confusion and then the realisation. lives in my head rent free.

can't stop thinking about how morgan and garcia must have felt listening to reid cough and sound visibly ill over the phone in amplification. how they were probably hanging on to that little bit of hope that the cipro was enough and that he was fine. and then they hear him. and they know it wasn't and he isn't.

Defending the Internet: how Cloudflare blocked a monumental 7.3 Tbps DDoS attack
Tumblr media
Summary: Cloudflare mitigated a record 7.3 Tbps multivector DDoS attack predominantly composed of UDP floods combined with multiple reflection and amplification techniques, utilising global anycast, real-time packet fingerprinting with eBPF, and distributed heuristic detection to block over 34,000 destination ports without impacting legitimate traffic.

Trying to my Mac and cheese but Criminal Minds had me on the brink of tears. I’m watching Amplification (the anthrax one) and man Garcia’s “I hope and I pray that my babies will come to me” kills me every single time. I’ve watched this like 5-7 times now but it still fucks me up.
Dying out here ya’ll.
