Rise of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - Dino Megazord

Story/Background stuff under the cut, design notes + commentary in the tags!

When needed, the Power Rangers can summon colossal machines known as Zords from their Power Coins. The form a Zord takes is dependent on their personal thought of what could be most powerful at the time of bonding to their coin. For Zordon's originally chosen Power Rangers 10,000 years ago, it was mythical creatures significant to each of their alien cultures, similar in appearance to a Dragon, a Unicorn, a Griffin, a Stone Lion and a Phoenix.

In this team's case, upon finding the coins, Billy posits that the coins could potentially date back to the Ice Age, or even the time of Dinosaurs. Zack and Trini latch on to the Ice Age comment and eventually manifest the Sabertooth and Mastodon Zords, while Jason, Billy and Kimberly think of a Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops and Pterodactyl, respectively.

While the five Zords don't appear as physical contructs until some time into the team's struggle against the Dark Green Ranger, once they do, the Rangers are able to combine them into the great Dino Megazord.

Armed with the powerful Mastodon Cannon and the Triceratops Saber, the Dino Megazord is easily a match for Rita's Dragonzord, eventually gaining the ability to combine with it when Tommy reclaims the Green Power Coin and summons her own purified version.

OKAY SO UHHHH i had this idea like. a week ago atp? of like. what if the caretaker shanon versions of shelly and vee were actually in the game. and they had their own unique abilities and stuff

SO HERE THEY ARE :D (several sidenotes here- 1. i dont ever really do traditional art so some things look a little jank lol, and 2. i meant to finish these a couple days ago but it took a weirdly long time for me to get the sticky notes lol. OKOK HERES THE ART-)

OK SO THERES A LOT GOING ON HERE !! first off i based these two (mostly) off the early au events, mostly cuz the ideas i had for their abilities are generally referencing that era, so i thought itd be fitting

okay i. i wanna explain all the references in these cuz i think its really neat..

i dont think vees active ability needs explaining lol but her passive is inspired by her whole plot of learning to let herself explore the world more (more specifically that one fic where she finds the guitar, its where the name comes from)

"space nerd" skin is referencing the outfit post and how shes, well, a space nerd. "anxious proposal" is referencing the fic where vee proposes, and "rain walk" is referencing, well, their walk in the rain from the very beginning. (ykw the skins are kinda self explanatory too lol)

this wasnt intentional when i was picking which outfits to use for the skins, but i think they also contribute to the general theme of vee coming out of her shell here- new interests she was never supposed to have, love she wasnt supposed to feel, and a world she was never supposed to experience for herself. idk i think its neat :]c fuck you delilah

okay shellys abilities are something im also rlly proud of- her active is based on the og post and how much of a spectacle shelly was, and then how everyone chilled tf out after a while

i also rlly wanted to emphasize how much of a team player she is, and how much she does for her friends. her active isnt rlly great for distracting- its main purpose is to pull twisteds off of someone if theyre about to die/lose health, and her passive is also mainly to help out her teammates.

her trinket is also from the fic where vee finds the guitar! i knew i wanted it to be a dino plushie of some sort (to emphasize the previous pint, but also to add in her love of sewing) and i eventually decided itd be fitting to make it the little pterodactyl she made for vee in that fic :]

"surprise party" skin is from the birthday fic, "mama's girl" is from the mothers day fic (fun fact i used that pose so i didnt have to design the sweater LOL), and "expert digger" is from the outfit post, again all pretty self explanetory

I had a dream last night that I was at a bar and Dan and Phil showed up. Dan was dressed in a dress similar to the sister daniel one in shape but all black, but Phil! Phil was all in white and in this lingerie style top that was all sheer and lacy and tight showing off the curves of his slutty waist and then mostly open at the front (like a deep v all the way down) showing his stomach and chest hair but with a satiny bow holding it together across his chest. To begin with, I want to make it clear that Atlas is a male character, not female.His design has truly sparked my creativity and imagination. The concept was bom from a deep fascination I developed for Arctic animals, which led me to ponder the idea of crafting a creature inspired by a prehistoric being. This thought process gave rise to the snow pterodactyl, and soon after, Atlas himself emerged into existence. I have such a fondness for him, it's almost Overwhelming

Atlas embodies a personality that is fiercely loyal, incredibly kind, and undeniably sweet. However, when angered, he can project an intimidating presence, and he often exhibits a shy Demeanor

One notable aspect of his character is his intense aversion to Dandy. In the original game. Dandy's actions resulted in the tragic loss of Atlas's friends, a betrayal that he finds impossible to Forgiving

Reflecting on his past poses a significant challenge for him. Nevertheless, the essence of his memories remains strikingly clear. He once enjoyed a close-knit friendship with a group of companions, a bond that thrived before the onset of the ichor operation, which tragically resulted in their infection and premature deaths. Initially, he was blissfully ignorant of the grave circumstances they were facing, but as he delved deeper in pursuit of the truth, he found himself caught in a perilous web of danger. It was through this treacherous journey that he ultimately uncovered the mystery surrounding their demise, and it was during this process that his bitterness towards Dandy began to take root, intensifying with each new revelation

As for Atlas's abilities, he possesses the remarkable power to create protective shields. reminiscent of the iconic skills seen in Steven Universe.

Additionally, he can soar through the skies, aided by his wings that he has. However, for this alternate reality, those wings are not a natural endowment but rather prosthetic replacements, serving as a painful reminder of the traumatic day when his original wings were brutally torn from his back, marking a profound loss in his life and his Psyche

In this alternate universe, his character embodies a subtly distinct tone. He is mare introspective, often choosing to embrace silence rather than engage in conversation. Although he retains his shy nature, there's a palpable intensity about him especially evident in his approach to combat, where he displays a more aggressive and fierce demeanor.When it comes to outfit inspiration, think of Whisper from the Sonic comics. Her look, including the mask, truly encapsulates the essence of what i envision. Upon further reflection, I found Whisper's outfit to be quite captivating, and for this alternate universe, I would love to weave in elements that echo that unique style, creating a blend that feels both fresh and fitting for his character when it comes to weaponry, aside from the shields he has, his primary choice is a bow and arrows, as he prefers engaging from a distance. For close combat, he relies on knives and blades

I really hope this provides some clarity. Here's a reference for the original character, Atlas, to give you a better understanding of his appearance (not for the alternate universe, but for the original concept).

I hit the 7th book of Ice Home, and I want to start ranking them (the rankings will change as I make my way thru the series). I did a ranking for the og Ice Planet too. I love these books, they're so not serious. I read in the next book the couple resonances in a pterodactyl nest, and I don't know how else to explain it than these books are everything I've ever wanted to feel from reading fanfiction. Every time someone bashes these books, I think BAH.

(1) Veronica's Dragon (Veronica x Ashtar)—Yes, yes to all of this. Just yes. Ashtar my beloved.

(2) Lauren's Barbarian (Lauren x K'thar)—I love these two. It was like being taken back to Georgie and Vektal, but in a fun, inspired way.

(3) Mari's Mistake (Mari x T'chai)—This book was refreshing! Dixon went back to short and sweet with new elements added to the world. Plus Mari and T'chai's story is great, and the smut was better than it typically is.

(4) Penny's Protector—(Penny x S'bren) They were adorable and I loved their adventure together.

(5) Devi's Distraction (Devi x N'dek)—It was cool to see both N'Dek and Devi find a friendship and relationship where they felt understood at a fundamental level. Plus, I loved all the jealousy plots. I wish Dixon would have taken them further, but ik it's not really her style. I'm pining for the Bree-shit book fr tho. I want full on enemies to lovers for her and A'tam. All bc his dick is too big. They really are putting the entire tribe through it bc of A'tam's big ass dick. That's crazzzzy.

(6) Angie's Gladiator (Angie x Vordis)—Dixon is in the unique situation of bc they are aliens she can push the miscommunication trope pretty hard, and it technically still makes sense. I wasn't crazy about it, but I did love Vordis learning how to be his own person and Angie supporting him! And I thought it was sweet how Vordis and Thrand reconciled at the end. It was like putting a bow on top.

(7) Nadine's Champion (Nadine x Thrand)—This one is silly. Thrand's goofy, and the nest scene is goofy. It's fun, but a reminder of how unserious everything really is.

(8) Hannah's Hero—(Hannah x J'shel) Hannah was hard to like at first, but by the end I felt like I understood her. And she knew. She knew she was being difficult, but she was having a time, yk? J'shel is a sweetheart.

(9) Callie's Catastrophe—(Callie x M'tok) M'tok didn't learn a damn thing, but it's fine bc he has to endure Harry Potter references for the rest of his life.

(10) Willa's Beast (Willa x Gren)—Willa was hard to like bc it was difficult to be sympathetic toward her when her actions were apathetic toward everyone else. In an extreme way. It was like the only people she could feel anything for were her and Gren.

His entire body convulsed as the glitches attacked his arm. He lurched backwards into the sand as the box seemed to lash out at the world around it. Cleric grabbed him under the arm, helping to pull him back and away from it.

"Are you alright?!"

"I-I'm fine." He used Cleric's arm to stand. "What's happening?"

"You think I know?"

Buddy backed up a little, turning to look over his shoulder. "Er, Void?"

Em shot him a confused glance, but now wasn't the time to question it. He pulled Threes a little further away.

"Is anyone in the tower? It's a bit close.."

"Not that I know of."

"Void?!" Buddy called. "Buddy?"

Threes blinked. "Is he calling a friend, or himself?"

All of them flinched as the door to the house flew open, slamming against the wall.

"Cleric!"

Snowball's eyes were wide. His chest heaved.

The cleric let go of Threes' arm. "Snowy? What's-"

"Spark-" He pointed into the house behind him. "He's not breathing."

His hands white knuckle grasped his knees. His twisted, forever-broken left hand screamed at him to stop but he couldn't. He stared ahead, whole body locked up into a still, stiff statue. The only part of him that moved was his chest. He couldn't stop himself from breathing, and he could not stop his broken heart from stop pumping.

Lucy did not bow his head as scripted and did not speak to greet himself. He went pale. His eyes went wide. His heart raced a million miles a minute.

The Chalat Drake in his arm perked up, his quills moving in response to Lucius’ breathing becoming increasingly panicked.

Chien didn't quite notice at first, too focused on speaking with Akakios.

The man turned his head to Luce while the Crown spoke, blinking slowly down at him. His head tilted a bit, almost recognizing the terrified face of the small man cowering there… before turning back to Chien to continue the conversation.

Everything felt alright in these quiet moments. There was no hurt. No need to numb the pain or forget the distant and recent past.

In this short time the only thing that mattered was the now.

All that mattered was Lilybelle. Innis’ little girl.

The girl he came home from the war to, much to his surprise. He did not think he’d have Anya when he returned, let alone the child that she said she would not keep. She sat on the end of the couch between Innis’ legs and parallel to hun. She lounged back just like how he laid, her own book propped up just like him.

Part 3 of the Godzilla AU: Roy/'Roydan'.

Roy is fused with a bird-type creature in this but resembles a pterodactyl.

Roy, like Robert, escapes the lab by rather frantically flying out of there. But he obviously isn't used to flying so bro ends up literally dangling in the air for several hours, and ends up coming across another victim from the lab who's a lot like him, and he befriends them. And he lives with them inside of a cliff for a bit until the nearby town finds them, is obviously afraid, and decided to do something about it. They end up killing the victim, which deeply angers Roy and causes him to freak out. He ends up killing several innocent people, but ends up being trapped somehow and is thrown into a volcano as some way of attempting to kill him.

Butttt... Roy's power source is fire in this au, so even when he's trapped inside of the volcano, it doesn't kill him. In fact, it just makes him more powerful, and later on due to a certain incident, he escapes the volcano and is now fucking insane.

Roy's powers are: his wing span being so large it destroys anything he falls over including buildings, being immune to fire, flight, a ridiculous amount of strength, etc.

Roy has a lot more anger issues in this au and is completely insane to the point where he cackles at the thought of hurting others or fighting other entities in general. He is very overly aggressive, somewhat sadistic at times, but is very much a coward when it comes to those stronger than him.

On the other hand when Susie came back from space (which I'll explain in a sec) while she was still alive, she kept fleeing from Ross and just spreading her storm everywhere (since she's able to spread lightning and storms everywhere she goes)—and she ended up running into Roy a few minutes after he escaped his volcano, proceeded to fight him, and kicked his ass so hard he fully submitted to her. She made all the other entities besides Robert and Ross submit to her as well, but Ross obviously kicked her ass in the end, and Roy (being a pussy) bowed to Ross out of not wanting to fucking die./lh

Roy also does recognize and remember his loved ones, but he doesn't care anymore due to how fucking crazy he is.

Rosa the Robot Pteranodon

Rosa is a pink pterodactyl who has been partially roboticized after she was captured by Dr. Eggman and she was put in one of his Roboticizers and she was about to be roboticized when Paige and Sonic and their friends saved her. She wears a red bow on her head, a purple tube top and a purple skirt with blue polka dots on it. Her eyes are green, one of her irises is black (that's a robot iris), she has a robotic right arm with a robot-like pterodactyl wing and robotic legs because, you know, she's half-robot. Her personality is that she is confident, caring and always helps her friends when they need it the most. Rosa is also an expert in martial arts. She mainly uses her legs in combat, often to deliver powerful kicks that can topple her opponents. Her mechanical limbs also provide her with tremendous strength. With one robotic arm, Rosa can pick up items that are much larger and heavier than herself. In addition, her robotic limbs are telescopic, allowing her to lengthen both her arm and legs.

this being her third family concert as a member of fabula is honestly shocking. it doesn't feel like it's been that long at all. however, every year, she's reminded of how much she enjoys performing on the legacy family stage, performing amongst other groups and getting to see fans of all different fandoms fill the venue.

throughout the night, she found herself really enjoying the audience this time around. although concerts in korea are typically more chill than in other places in the world, she felt like there was a lot of energy flowing through the venue. there seemed like plenty of 'pterodactyls' in the crowd (anyone who screams every time their bias has a line in a song), at least when she was on or near the stage. everyone seemed happy to be there and excited to see whoever was on stage at the given time. while she assumes it to be true every year, this time minji is sure at least a few more people have become fabelle tonight.

by the end of the night, she's shocked to find herself somewhat emotional. she's usually not so after the concert. it's a happy event, after all. but something about the night felt super special, just by how much she enjoyed the crowd this year and how happy she was to be able to perform for them. so, the tears fall as she takes her final bow at the end of the encore, feeling absolutely satisfied with the way her year at legacy has turned out.

she hopes next year turns out just as good as this year. she hopes she has even more good songs to perform for the fans, whether they are fabelle or members of another group's fandom. most of all, she hopes the satisfaction of being an idol continues to grow as the years continue going by.
