So my favorite voice teacher resigned because the university wasn't able to give him enough responsibilities/pay to make being away from his family worthwhile. I totally understand his reasoning and his choice, because I have been in his shoes. I am confident that I know enough about my own voice after 15 years of study to filter out bad advice from any potential new teacher. I am a professional, and I know what I'm doing. But I'm losing sleep because he was the only person on faculty I felt I could trust to have my back in a sea of non-singers who keep telling me my voice is wrong and my naturally occurring vibrato is "too much" for early music. I don't know what I'm going to do without him. He has been my most reliable defender at that school, and now that I'm used to that level of trust, it's going to be so hard to have to start over with someone new, especially if our priorities don't align...

pathologic 3 announcement made me return to the classic game and finally play it properly! i think my favorite part of the bachelor's route is when he talks to maria kaina (or whoever's in her body at the time) and they explain that their planned Utopia isn’t even supposed to be a 'perfect' place but instead 'the mystical manifestation of a world inscrutable and inaccessible to men' going back to the original meaning of the word irl and instead of despairing Daniil fervently agrees that this kind of unimaginable leap is worth it, no matter where it actually leads

I'm just kind of giggling about it to be honest. Like Nolan is great I'm sure, I've heard lots about his movies. But the idea of Tom Holland possibly being like Telemachus or something (god forbid Odysseus) is so funny. Who's playing Odysseus here? Matt Damon? Robert Pattinson?? I think Pattinson should be able to do whatever he wants

started off as me redrawing some of my initial mairon designs and ended up going on an rpg tangent 😭 i really wish i could have done the portraits in a pixel art style to better fit the aesthetic but my canvas wasnt the right size!!! i ended up changing annatar completely (im still contemplating how much i prefer this one compared to his old one however...!) and adjusting post-numenor sauron a bit when compared to their old 2022 sketches! im probably gonna do more redraws in the months to come cause of all the stuff i wanna change when i look back to some of my old designs haha 😳

i like to think each 'form' sauron takes eventually has different mannerisms and likes/dislikes the longer he stays in them without shapeshifting into something else, but one thing they all have in common is being predisposed to nagging melkor 😎

Your most recent post I just made me think about John (because I’m always thinking about John) and if having his wrists pinned would freak him out. Like, the level of trust he would have to build with Oscar to give up what little control he does have, give up that little piece of autonomy he clings too. Idk your art makes me crazy and then I get thinking and here we are—

I need more John being reluctant to trust Oscar and Oscar being patient with him because he’s probably a little bit scared of him but also he knows what it’s like to be ignored and to lose some of your autonomy (I mean he’s coming from the religious trauma stand point but still you get me) NOW YOUVE GOT ME RAMBLING DAMN IT I need to draw them so bad
