Imagine we get trapped Buddie but neither one says anything and then the need of the episode is Buck going to Eddie and being like “I lost Bobby and today I almost lost you and I can’t - I can’t lose another person I love without telling them I love them. So, I love you.”

And Eddie’s like “I love you too, Buck”

Meanwhile the last seven years are flashing through Buck’s head cos as soon as he said those words, the Eddie box exploded and he’s beginning to realise just how much he loves Eddie and in what way.

Maybe Buck grabs Eddie’s wrist as he goes to turn away and goes “no, Eddie. I love you.”

And Eddie’s eyes grow wide in surprise but underneath there is hope.

And he goes “oh”

It happens at the house, in the kitchen after they've been patched up. Buck is just watching Eddie move around the kitchen and the words sit on his tongue. He remembers screaming for Eddie when he couldn't find him in the rubble, those few terrifying moments he thought he lost Eddie- thought he lost another member of the family he's spent years making. And he can't go another minute without telling Eddie.

"Eddie," Buck says, cutting off whatever Eddie was saying about their dinner plans. Eddie looks at him, eyebrows raised in question. "I lost Bobby," he continues, his voice already shaking. "And today I almost lost you and I can't- I can't lose another person I love without telling them I love them. So, I love you."

Eddie smiles, soft and sweet and a little heartbroken. "I love you, too, Buck."

But suddenly, Buck thinks, Eddie doesn't get it. Buck thinks about driving through cracked and crumbling streets, uniting the little family that almost immediately became his own. He thinks about wandering through flooded streets, feeling like his heart was walking around outside his body. He thinks about watching his best friend fall before his eyes, and praying to an unforgiving universe not to take Eddie away from him. He thinks about sitting on the ambulance bumper with Mitchell, and wishing he had a love strong enough to last- to want to go together. He thinks about those terrifying moments he couldn't see Eddie, touch him, hear him, and the momentary thought he would've stayed in that collapsed building if he couldn't get to Eddie.

Eddie starts to turn away, but Buck can't let him go believing Buck loves him only as a best friend. His hand moves before he can second guess himself. He takes hold of Eddie's wrist, effectively stopping him in his tracks.

"No, Eddie. I love you," Buck says, and it's the easiest and scariest thing he's ever done.

Eddie's eyes widen, and he takes the most miniscule step away, visibly taken aback, just like when Buck took on his lease. Stepped inside with him like so many times before.

An awestruck smile slowly blooms on his face. "Oh."

He takes a step closer, steps into Buck's space. "I love you," he says, the words pressed against Buck's lips and warming him from the inside out.

the concept of pulling bosses and characters from other worlds / timelines to an alternative Limgrave is fascinating to me, especially since it's something we already see a glimpse of in the base game via Rennala's boss fight (2nd phase). really makes me wonder if the power of the Night include opening gateways to other worlds.

it adds a new layer of conflict between the Greater Will & the Night Lord! GW (the Day, the Light) desires Order, but Night (Dark) could mess with fabrics between worlds & time like that, like it's Chaos ! they introduce a new gameplay direction, yet it ties in very well with the lore, im in awe.

You know every single fandom ever has done the merman AU. There is a mountain of fanfiction and fanart out there for merman AUs. You think of a popular ship, I guarantee you there is merman AU fanworks of it.

OFMD just decided to bring the merman AU to canon for a hot moment. A bold move. A batshit crazy move. A fucking power move in my opinion. Anyone doubting this show was for fandom can no longer doubt it. Call it cringe or embarassing all you like, but I am so fucking impressed they did that. Amazing. 10/10 no notes. Sorry to any Kiwi's present but Rhys Darby makes for a very hunky merman too. They fully dedicated themselves to getting New Zealands funny uncle into a proper silicon merman tale, complete with pretty flowy fins and actual GLITTER and made him swim up to Taika Waititi underwater in a recreation of that scene from Splash. No one is doing it like them. I think the only way a show could top this is somehow bringing omegaverse to the silver screen... but that is perhaps a tad too far across the fandom/canon divide!
