The fandom doesn't give Fuyumi enough credit. It's clear from her dialogue here that she knows and acknowledges the wrongness of The Hellish Todoroki Family. From her perspective, it's so warped that it isn't "a real family".

Fuyumi had a clear understanding of what cogs were turning concerning her family. It started with Shouto obtaining a healthy support system for the first time at U.A., which allowed him to reconcile with Rei. Then Rei began to improve after Enji starting putting in an effort after Kamino. (There is an implication that Fuyumi was well aware that Enji was making no effort towards their family until recently).

Sharing a meal is symbolically an act of peacemaking or understanding. Fuyumi kept trying to make her family come together for a meal because she wanted them to come to a mutual understanding and/or hash things out like "a normal family".

But Natsuo would only eat at the table if Enji was not present, and Enji refused to come to the table at all. They could not share a meal together, so Fuyumi felt like she failed.

But Shouto was correct here that this was an improvement. The three Todoroki children were able to come to an understanding with this meal prepared by Fuyumi. Natsuo and Shouto set clear lines about what they could not forgive and the difference between Endeavor and Enji. Fuyumi and Shouto communicated about their expectations for the family. Fuyumi wanted to chase the aspiration of "a real family" while Shouto expressed that he wanted to observe Enji's efforts as a father. Natsuo was able to express his grievances towards his abusive father to his face without pushback.

Fuyumi set the bar too high for herself here. In a family as dysfunctional as the Todorokis, a shared meal with just three of its members where they make peace with one another is a significant accomplishment.

Can't speak for anyone else but I've felt absolutely no ill will from any of your posts. It was actually surprising when you mentioned that you hated the game. I knew you were disappointed by the story and characters but I didn't realize it went that deep, lol. All things considered you're one of the more even handed and fair DAV critics.

how long does it take you to draw your sketches/doodles? also do you have any tips to draw faster? 🙇‍♀️

I generally take 30 - 60 minutes a sketch,,,, but honestly really depends on how detailed it is.

Like a Chibi will be done in 20 - 25 minutes (Counting in the extra time I spend on minute details like a perfectionist 😭)

I for some reason really like spending egregious amounts of time on random objects too??? Unless it’s the in the background, I’ll spend 40 minutes refining it.

Random characters that are fully colored and rendered with take like 80 minutes.

The comics take usually take an hour or two per page. (If I decide to cross hatch it, my entire day will be gone with 4 pages… so I’ve been trying to find shortcuts. But not without sacrificing the quality for time lol)

I don’t think there’s any trick or magic to drawing faster. It’s really about weaponizing your artistic knowledge, and finding what’s comfortable or convenient for you!

There was a period of time where I would spend 11 or 12 hours on an illustration, and it wASS UGLYYYYY. (Some of these artworks are still available on my tumblr,,, but it’s SO LONG AGO, AND IT WAS MY 1ST OR 2ND YEAR GETTING INTO DIGITAL ART)

Overtime I learned what worked best for me, and practiced till I felt more comfortable with what I was drawing. Eventually I managed to shorten the time to 4 hours or less! Ambition was my biggest enemy but at the same time my biggest motivator. (And it still is LMFAO) 😭

25 days of coasters / 21. magnum xl-200, cedar point # of rides: 37 / last ridden: fall 2024

a very long overdue addition into my top 25! this ride is an absolute masterpiece; from how it operates with 3 trains, the absolute blast of a ride experience, & the powerful finale. i hadn't felt like i was able to truly appreciate just how good this ride was until i got the chance to work it for my final few months at cedar point. it was completely revolutionary for its time and holds up INCREDIBLY well today.

i've had multiple rides where i'd put it as my second favorite in the park, though that'd really mess up my overall rankings ... but really! it's just so good. i love the jank, the airtime, the music, the theme, the tunnels, and i absolutely loved operating it with 3 trains. the night rides are FANTASTIC, especially when the water park is completely dark ... i love how it's still almost so trapped in the 1980's, yet that doesn't deter it from being one of the best rides overall today.

trimless row 3 is an out of body experience. please give this ride more love because it deserves it & i don't find the experience that painful at all. it's just jank & old which adds so much to the charm!

Switch I have followed you for many years. Are you a game developer? If so how did you get started? Do you do it as a hobby or something more serious? Where to begin

“game developer” is a highly generous descriptor for what i’ve done up to this point and am currently doing. that being, “i’ve privately experimented with ren’py and old versions of rpg maker over the years”, and “i just acquired rpg maker mv 2 months ago in pursuit of finally making a visual novel/rpg.”

i mean, this project is serious to me, personally, but in terms of the professional-hobby scale it’s definitely more of a hobby... i’d always had an interest in potentially making a VN, but i realized my current story project would be best served as a VN/rpg, so i spent probably a year just researching engines and what would be possible for me to do with no real coding experience… rpg maker obviously ended up being the most appealing option in that regard, and mv specifically because it had a more favorable amount of free or non-obfuscated plugins. i’d like to consider myself already semi-competent at intuiting and frankensteining together basic javascript functions in rpg maker’s specific environment, but i’m definitely not a Game Dev either. i’m just making a game in rpg maker…
