I was asking for art ideas on my Instagram and this was one of the request ideas, probably because my AA hyperfixation returned recently

Then I got weirdly into it with its own lore to make these words work together, I didn't even draw all the ideas I had! I wanna do more and draw belos and some of the sprite animations for these guys !

So I'll do that later.

Honestly a lot of the names in this show could totally pass for AA names, Tinella Nosa is straight up an AA name.

It ended THIS blight??? There's a whole mess of the stuff in the Fade that it was heavily implied would be the focus of a potential DA5. There are voice lines in the game after almost every high dragon fight implying some mysterious entity grooming the world (and possibly you) for some other purpose down the line. This was, in no way, supposed to be the last game based on the text of the game.

I agree that DA can and should live on in its community, via fic and art, shit, even short films if anyone's got the budget for it lol but to say this was always supposed to be a conclusion is just incorrect. And if it was meant to be one, it's an extremely poor one. Designed conclusions usually aren't supposed to have story hooks and for sequels.

I am seeing the news about the DA writers and developers and it makes me sad that this seems like the end of the road, but the truth is, DAV was meant to be the conclusion. It ended the blight, it answered the question of the Titans, it explained the true story of the Elven gods. Yes, it did drop a few new small questions, but there are no big cliff hangers, nothing that requires a follow up. The main story of Thedas is over.

I love DAV. I played it multiple times and I do wish we were getting DLC for it, but I am also satisfied to have the answer to my questions, to get one more set of wonderful companions and go on one last new adventure in the DA World. Dragon Age is special to me, I have been a fan for many years and I will always love this adventure.

The great thing is the game development world of today is so different from the game development world of DAO. There are great games out there with rich and interesting stories, stories tha feature POC and lgbt+ characters and new games come out regularly. It is sad that this might be the last installment of Dragon Age for a long while (video games at least, as long as the IP makes money I am sure we continue to see it popping up in other mediums), but there are plenty of other games that are out and ready for you to experience.

This 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I do not necessarily agree in the advocating of keeping abuse a secret from a partner. But it's true that disclosure isn't always best. If you make someone aware that you've been treated bad in past relationships, and that you've accepted it and put up with it and stayed in the relationship, then you are setting the bar (and it is a low one) to your new partner of things that can be and have been done to you with no consequence. There are two reason why I enjoy the probably forgotten video game, Super Princess Peach.

a. It's Nintendo first video game where Peach is the protagonist.

And I cannot stress out this second reason enough:

b. It would be so easy to incorporate a Bowuigi B plot based on the fact that Bowser kidnapped Luigi and the considerable amount of time it took Peach to actually save Luigi in Giddy Sky (i.e., World 7).

I can’t get over the fact that that Expedition 33 came out at the most perfect time, right when just about every major video game company is engaging in the most greedy, skeevy bullshit. Games cost more than ever but you get less, unless you drop another 30 bucks for the DLC, but you’ll still have to wait for the patches for things to run right because we released an unfinished game!

And then out of nowhere, Sandfall Interactive appears and is like, ‘here, we made a jaw-droppingly beautiful game that is a clear labor of love, created by people who love video games and have already gotten fucked over by the industry. It draws on inspiration from some excellent older games while still being fresh and innovative and new. It’s gorgeous, it’s fun, it’s devastatingly heartbreaking, it’s got some of the best writing you’ve ever seen in a video game. It’s easily going to be GOTY. Oh, and it’s $50.’

I love how all the big AAA companies were shitting their pants about Baldur’s Gate 3 being such a huge success and insisting that this can’t be the standard! We can’t just make excellent video games that respect the players and offer tons of great content without overcharging for every little thing! BG3 is an outlier! You shouldn’t expect stuff like this!

And then Expedition 33 came in with a steel chair.

Ace Attorney fandom.

I know why people don't like Turnabout Bigtop. I am among the people who dislike Turnabout Bigtop.

But I GET why people like the case. I'm not going to be one of those annoying people who just blindly dump on it because I hate those mfs too.

Thing about Bigtop isn't that it sucks. Thing isn't the weird grooming stuff (though that is a huge part of it). It's not that it could've been good.

It's that - in my personal OPINION - it could have been *great*.

I think it had the potential to be one of the best third cases in the trilogy. It had everything; a fun and goofy setting fit for a pretty dang goofy lawyer game - where the environment itself had jokes and quips and one-liners and mishaps and tomfoolery written all over it, it had the previous case introducing a very interesting and important plotline that gave background for one of the more well-loved characters while also introducing an equally fucked up and lovable new one who was a child forced into a shit childhood of naivete in a CIRCUS with another character who was very naive and childish - whose interactions could have been funny and cute and reflective of said shit from the previous case (seriously she becomes such an important character in the 4th case, WHY would they not include her in this one for some character development? How did they fuck up letting a CHILD explore a CIRCUS?? That would have made the interactions flow MUCH better).

They had a pretty good, sympathetic killer imo, a morally dubious victim, an asshole of a client (who was pretty flat admittedly in-game, but I like his weird, topsy-turvy reasoning for it in the anime. Also, I think Max being kinda a dick would have bode well for the themes of Farewell since most of his clients up to this point have been like...nice? Not nice, but sympathetic, but him having to defend someone who's innocent but a prick would have shown him that just because someone is an asshole, doesn't mean they deserve to suffer for it and that they have the potential to grow as people, which is almost a complete foil to what Matt was. Ultimately, I would have loved the contrast of them as clients and I think it would have also served as character development for Phoenix, especially with his low-empathy tendencies).

They just didn't think that far ahead. They just didn't execute it well enough. They just decided to make three of the adult characters fight for the hand in marriage of a teenage girl. (Bat's part of the story was actually kinda good if he was just YOUNGER, I think him doing that for Regina would have been a stupid thing someone in the circus would do to impress their crush. Damn you Ace Attorney and your weird treatment of underage girls!!)

It just flopped and that's ok.

Even though it kinda sucked, it can still mean something to me.

Also I'm a Moe Curls apologist. I liked him, shut up.
