I know it's not an ask but I've been thinking about a scene with young Vi and Powder searching for their parents at the beginning of Arcane but it's Naph and Amaranthine after the fight with Noxus was over.

Amara and Naph got out of the safe place where they were hiding and decided to search for their dads (and the rest of their family as well). There's destruction kind of similar to what we've seen in the og scene with Amaranthine holding her brother's hand as a protective big sister.

The difference is that they do find their parents with some injuries but alive and well. After Jayce helps Viktor to stand up they notice them but before they can react the kids run toward them and hug them. Then Jayce and Viktor start tearing up while hugging each other and their beautiful children realizing that the worst is over (the rest join in later).

I absolutely accept scene ideas as well as asks!

I would say whoever is looking after them has clearly dropped their responsibility but if the battle is over and it's clear who won they're probably a bit distracted trying to help organize the clean-up that needs to happen after the fighting's over. Two kids easily lost in the general chaos of that (especially if they had been told to stay put but decided to go find their parents instead).

One of the first things they're told by their parents (past the relief of everyone being alive) is definitively that they shouldn't be there, that they should have stayed where it was safe. Neither Jayce nor Viktor wanted them to see this destruction (wanted them to see all the bodies). Those two in particularly probably ended up right in the center of it because I imagine the Hexgates would be a big part of the battle and that was their creation together, it makes sense they end up there together to either destroy/defend them (whatever is needed). But of course the two had to know if their parents are okay (if anyone in their family is okay).

Personally I would switch it to be Viktor helping Jayce stand. But I've given Viktor his Machine Herald armor for this battle and while it could be damaged the narrative echo of Jayce being supported by Viktor to help stand after all the times Viktor supported Jayce to help stand calls to me. Either way there's definitively repairs that armor is going to need and the mask of it has probably been lost in the battle or the after-events. And the two kids can recognize their parents anywhere.

They end up a pile together of relief and exhaustion as the adrenaline of it all bleeding out of them. The other members of the family joining the collapsed pile as they reach them. All looking over the destruction that resulting from the battle and knowing they'll have to clean it all up (that they'll have to rebuilt) but at least they are all alive and can rest for a bit first.

In the unit verse, what does Bill think of all her co-workers? Have first impressions lasted?

i’m gonna go with the UNIT people I can remember which is…three canon and some OCs 

KATE: the first person Bill meets - the one who recruits her, really. Bill is definitely impressed by her and there’s a level of admiration there, not overpowering, but it’s the admiration everyone who knows kate stewart has, who knows she can save the world in under fifteen minutes if you let her. that first impression remains, evolves into something comfortable, and bill is glad that kate is her boss.

ED ( @exbenignitas ) : thinks he’s a bit scary when she first meets him, to be honest. they never had much reason to interact much because bill? the one behind the screens and ed was more of a field operative guy. but as time goes on and bill’s eavesdropping helps her see this new side of Ed - loving, when she catches him in a mumbled, warm conversation with kate. funny, hearing his banter with josh. parental, when she hears him with osgood. and stubborn, since he won’t let her on field missions gosh damn it.

Josh Carter: An absolute lad - the kind of witty soldier you read about in sci-fi books. they get along and Bill never has an issue talking with him. eventually they bond over their body parts  - Cyberarm VS exo-skeleton - and make bets on Ed. Bill is currently winning 7-3.  they are each other’s wing-buddies.

Osgood: smart, nervous, cute. loves the scarf and is always happy to listen to osgood ramble on about space goo this, alien DNA that. they’ve probably won a few pub quizzes as a duo (much to josh’s dismay).

JONAS BROTHERS - SUCKER

I just wanna go back, back to the year 3000...

Alex Clifton: Oh, hell, I love this. I thought I was too cool for the Jonas Brothers back in the day because I was trying so desperately to avoid Being Like Other Girls and being a teenager; I was deeply fascinated by them but acutely aware that if I admitted to myself that I liked the JoBros I'd be setting myself up for mockery (because that's what happens to teenage girls). And to be fair a lot of their Disney music was a bit tame and high-pitched for me. Then came "Pom Poms" and the inevitable hiatus; at the one point I was fully prepared to love the JoBros, they were cruelly snatched away from me. I'm glad they've rejoined to make music together as adults because this takes the best catchy bits from Joe's time with DNCE and uses it to tame Nick's sexual appeal, and Kevin does whatever Kevin does, which I guess is staying quiet while playing a good bassline. Now that I'm older, I can finally admit what I was too afraid to say as a teenager: I'll always be a sucker for pop music, and this is a winner. [8]

Joshua Copperman: Apparently when you get Louis Bell, Frank Dukes, and Ryan Tedder (who I'll defend) in a room, it all cancels out and you wind up with lower-tier Ricky Reed. [5]

Joshua Minsoo Kim: What's up with the pre-chorus acting like it's going to build into something more bombastic but the chorus ending up as low-energy? A limited dynamic range can only be a final blow to a song so bloodless. [3]

Andy Hutchins: Cool first single by new and original band Jonas. The Brothers! If only the bass line were as far past puberty as the band. [3]

Iris Xie: So, who thought it was a good idea to melt down the instrumentals and verses of Portugal. The Man's "Feel It Still" and rip out the infernal skeleton of DNCE's "Cake By the Ocean" to construct this song? Additionally, "Sucker" now completes my third addition to the list of boy band songs that use clapping in extremely obnoxious ways; the other two are One Direction's "Drag Me Down" and EXO's "Overdose." It's a shame because I do like the line "I'm a sucker for all the subliminal things," together with the "about you" repetitions, but this entire song is phoned in and sounds (is?) plagiarized. [3]

Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: A decade in review for pop-rock tropes -- there's the whistling, the lite-disco, the guitar parts that sound so compressed that they might as well be MIDI, the misuse of big words (subliminal?). It's a thoroughly unlovable song if divorced from its pop-cultural context, the kind of featureless material I assumed they shipped straight to Target overhead speakers. [4]

Alfred Soto: Nick Jonas may be the Cute Jonas, but he's also the Boring Jonas -- he opens his mouth and what emerges is so far from fetching that turning on the toaster oven produced a more pleasant sound. The rest of "Sucker" has the moderately interesting crunch with which they charmed a generation. [5]

Claire Biddles: What a world we live in that "Jonas Brothers are subs for their wives" is the premise for a song and not an obscure tag on ao3. [9]

Tobi Tella: I'm not sure what I expected a Jonas Brothers single to sound like in 2019, but this pretty much fits the mold. I should hate this for being a shameless nostalgia grab attempt, but I was in the prime target age for this and I can't lie and say I'm not eating it up. More people need to be releasing late-2000s Disney Channel songs, I'm just saying! [7]

The death of Liao’s first ( and only drift partner ) also resulted in Liao’s own blindness -- blind, he was pulled from the Jeager program, and subsequently became distraught. For awhile he helped Moira study the Kaiju, until Liao discovered a way to solo-drift. Drifters gear hooked directly into his body ( producing the same mutilation as his canon exo-skeleton verse ). Which, Moira, yes, nearly killed him over because it was an exceptionally stupid stunt to re-join a program that dropped him AFTER their program got him injured and his partner killed in the first place. 

He’s very much Doctor Newton [ Lou Liao ]. He even goes so far as merging with a kaiju as Newt. did ( much to the dismay of Moira and his own body, Liao did experience several seizures-- even weeks after it was a threat ). Anyways his kaiju drift is bad-- it helps him solo-drift, but it starts hurting him even more, to the point Moira’s potential repair through the neuro handshake starts being reject ( although that may just be Liao wanting to die. )
