i think MK would mostly feel a sense of loss for the fact that in a way, things should have been like this, like when he “hatched” Wukong probably would have found him if it wasn’t for the fact someone or something brought it to Pigsy shop. He would have grown up with someone who could tell him how to be a stone Monkey and teach him his power. Surely, I think Wukong wouldn’t have been as good as a parent as Pigsy, and MK doesn’t regret a bit how things actually ended up happening, but it’s a bit of a case of “sometimes I imagine how my life would have been if it went this way”

(Heads up memory a little fuzzy for seasons 8 and 9)

ngl i think echo having been Mr E would've been amazing especially if he got a redemption ark

Echo was alone, his father never came back, he knows why, he remembers season 6 after all, Zane was the better sibling in dad's eyes, Zane was perfect, Zane was a hero beloved by all, echo was just a cheap replacement til Julian coukd have the son he wanted again

Echo is only around 5 or 6 if each season has been a year, and he's alone, slowly watching his own body start to rust away with time, Julien never meant for him to last, he was just a replacement

Echo starts to resent Julien, Zane, Jay, and nya as months shift to years, and he's still alone, do they not remember him like he remembers them? Why did nobody come back? Does nobody besides gizmo care about him? Was he not worthy of love like his so called perfect brother? Was he not good enough? Why did they all just leave him and gizmo here.

eventually the sons of garmadon find him somehow, he looks exactly like Zane, he seems useful, they offer echo a place on their team, a place where he can belong, he won't have to be alone anymore if he joins the sons of garmadon

(Plus ngl at this point in time i think hed very much vibe with harumi)

Echo accepts, what else does he have? Nobody ever came back for him, the sons of garmadon saved him, offered him a home, a life,

The ninja left him to rot.

The sons of garmadon influence him, turning his hidden resentment into solid hatred, the ninja used him and left him for dead, the ninja abandoned him, Jay and nya never cared, Zane never cared, dad never cared,

Zane is seen as perfect, everybody loves Zane, Zane can do no wrong, Zane is the best thing Dr Julien ever built, echo hates that, Zane got all of their fathers love, Zane got everything he could ever desire from echos manipulated pov, and echo hates it,

The ninja will pay for what they did to him.

Cue snake jaguar, ZANE. Echos brother dare act like he's the hero after all of this time? The sons if garmadon fixed echo, they gave him a home, a life, a rank, a place to belong and zane is trying to take that from him, he's sure of it.

Of course he follows orders when he's told to deal with Zane, and just like the deleted scene, there's a confrontation. Zane has no memory of echo, he has no idea who he is, why is Mr E talking like he knows him? Angrily shouting of betrayal, of abandonment, of the ninjas hypocrisy

"I HELPED YOU! I TOOK YOU IN! AND YOU LEFT ME TO RUST."

"who are you!?"

this only enrages echo further, WHAT DOES HE MEAN "who are you!?" ECHO GAVE THE NINJA ALL HE HAD AND THEY STILL ACT AS IF HE NEVER EXISTED!

Echo wants Zane dead, he wants Zane to feel the pain of abandonment he had to endure, to show the world their perfect titanium ninja is nothing but a lie, someone who would allow his own brother to die just to have everything to himself.

Zane is horribly confused, why does Mr E sound so similar to him? What does he mean "i gave you everything"? What is happening!? And once the helmet is of, Mr E even looks like him,

Jay and nya never told anyone of season 6, they never told Zane about echo, he never knew he had a brother, and for the moment he still doesn't, perhaps the sons of garmadon made a copy of him? Are they planning to swap him out with this imposter? Or to simply try and copy his abilities?

The fight continues and echo wins, almost killing Zane, he's won. Staring down at the deactivating remains of the one he was modeled after, he says one last thing aside from the already established message, "it's your turn to rot, brother." Before leaving, he's won, he's defeated the titanium ninja, the one he was supposedly an inferior copy of, not so inferior now.

While fixing Zane the ninja are horribly confused by Mr E, all but 2, Jay and nya. Jay and nya had forgotten echo, they were so caught up with everything else, plus season 6 wasn't technically real, but they forgot something important, "ECHO?", now Mr E, but how does he remember what happened!?

before they can focus on that too much the hacked samurai x situation happens

(My memory around here gets REALLY hazy-)

Several realizations are made, the the identity of samurai x as pixal, and to surprise of everyone, especially Zane, the true identity of Mr E, echo Zane. Of course the ninja are upset, especially Zane

Why had Jay and nya never told him he had a little brother? WHY HAD HIS OWN FATHER NEVER TOLD HIM HE HAD A BROTHER!? If Julien had only told him years ago echo could've gone with them to defeat garmadon on the island of darkness (presuming most seasons are a year) 6 years ago, no wonder Mr E was so upset! He truly had given everything and was given nothing in return, he was abandoned and forgotten by no fault of his own, and the sons of garmadon took advantage of it

Jay and nya are obviously guilty, their forgetfulness caused this, echo joined the sons of garmadon because they forgot him, they left him to die when he was clearly still a kid, and likely only 12 or 13 by now (if im guessing right) and of course now Zane is also upset learning he hurt his own brother more then he already was out of ignorance of his existence,

As the show continues there's now the matter of trying to redeem echo, Jay and nya trying to make up for what they did to him, and Zane trying to make up for their father forgetting echo and trying to show the ninja aren't the enemy here, the sons of harmadon will only harm echo

skip to later, of course the sons of garmadon still win, and the attempts at redemption didn't work, echo has won againts Zane, Zane is actually dead this time as far as he knows, and he is one of the highest ranking in emperor garmadons army, none will forget him, now he simply has to capture the few remaining ninja, he can't wait to make nya regret her actions.

He failed.

Mr E has failed to capture the resistance, they're still working to stop garmadon.

Surely his punishment won't be horrid right? He's loyal, they're like family! The sons if garmadon saved him, surely they won't throw him away

But as he kneels before garmadon with news if his failure, he's overcome with pain, varely able to even scream before his body is torn apart, his body dropped from garmadons tower, he's left to die once again, discarded, again.

We switch to the resistance

During a supply run nya finds what's left of Mr E, she can't help but feel guilty, in a way what happened to echo was her fault, if she or jay had just gone back for him 6 years ago echo might have had a better life, but here he is, discarded scrap

Nya decides to make things right, so, she scavenges everything she can of echo, and asks pixal to help her fix him, maybe there's still a chance to save him,

After some hesitation Pixal agrees, though she points out echo may still be a threat once he's functional again,

When echo wakes up again he's somewhere he doesn't recognize, he's still trying to process what happened to him, why? Why was he always discarded? Why was he always abandoned?

He gets up, noticing he can move again, then realizing, SHE was here,

Echo is of course upset and distrustful twords nya, he helped save her life years ago and she left him alone to die in return, why should he trust her?

Then he realizes someone else is here too, someone he only vaugly knows about, pixal, his brothers girlfriend. Echo is distrustful twords pixal, after all, she's in league with the ninja, nya and pixal attempt to reason with echo, but of course their reasoning isn't very convincing to him, yes the sons of garmadon abandoned and discarded him, but so did the ninja! If anything, both groups are treterous in his eyes

Echo decides to leave on his own, not going back to the sons of garmadon, but also not joining the ninja, he starts to make his own path, figure things out for himself

Echo can see what the sons of garmadon are doing now, children attempting to do their jobs crushed beneath the stone feet of garmadons titan, (serieously in show lore the child labor situationin ninjago is fucked) families split apart by the actions he once participated in, he needs to fix things, he needs to make up for what he helped caused, so nobody has to suffer the same fate he did, scared, alone, hoping for a loved one who will never come home.

Echo goes back to the resistance, not to help the ninja, to help the people of ninjago.

Echo still doesn't trust the ninja, he still sees them as hypocritical, but this is his best chance at fixing his mistake

During his time with the resistance echo can see the effect the ninja have had on the world, many look to them as a sign of hope, but of course, echo was the same once, he can see why they are so trusted, but he just can't depend on them like he once hoped he could, he no longer sees the ninja as evil, but he doesn't see them as good either, they're just people, like anyone else.

Echo now helps fight againts the sons of garmadon, and once the other ninja and wu return from the 1st realm he even gets a chance to fight along side his brother once again, and this time, Zane won't forget him

Zane isn't perfect, and he never claimed to be, echo can see that now, maybe they aren't so different after all

Once the fight is over echo decides to part ways with the ninja, kinda going off to do his own thing, though he and Zane are slowly making an effort to reconnect once echo realizes Zane genuinly had never been told if him and the situation wasn't his fault, that grudge againts Jay and nya definitely still going strong though, my boy deserves to hold a grudge after everything he went through

ANTWAY! that's this ningago ramble done, stay tuned for when I rope echo into the ice emperor plot so we can have some brotherly angst!

Finding themselves 'trapped' in a small inn Lloyd and Harumi have to decide if they are ready to share a bed.

Harumi sat in the passenger seat of the car watching the rain pour down with no clear sign of letting up anytime soon. Lloyd, as per usual, was trying to be the hero by standing out in the storm trying to fix the engine. “Give it up. We’re stuck here for the night,” Harumi called opening the door just a crack. Of course, Lloyd argued her only to climb back into the car a few seconds later.

“Well you better get comfortable, this is gonna be a long night,” Lloyd sighed as he slammed the car door shut, shaking off droplets of water like a dog. Harumi shifted in her seat, glancing over at the dimly lit dashboard where the clock ticked ominously.

“Nice to know you care about my comfort,” she replied, crossing her arms and glaring out the window at the sheets of rain obscuring the silhouette of the trees lining the deserted road. The only sounds were the pitter-patter of raindrops against metal and the occasional rumble of distant thunder. “Didn’t seem like that when you forced me to go on a three-hour car ride that has now turned into a whole night.”

Lloyd reclined in his seat draping a soaked arm over his eyes. “You said you didn’t care what we did on this date. Besides, I thought a scenic drive through the country would be romantic. I didn’t plan on my car breaking down in the middle of a storm.”

Harumi let out a small huff adjusting her position. She couldn’t believe she was being forced to sleep in a car. “Romantic?” Harumi snorted, letting the word roll off her tongue. “You call this romantic? A waterlogged vehicle, no cell service, and the only meal options are the last crumbs of stale pretzels in my purse?”

Lloyd shifted slightly in his seat, scrunching his wet shirt fabric that was now sticking uncomfortably against his skin. “Hey, I’m trying here,” he said with a hint of defensiveness, pulling his arm away from his eyes to glance at her. “It’s not like I wanted this to happen. We’re together, right? That’s what matters.”

“Together in a stranded car doesn't sound like a great date, Lloyd,” she replied, struggling to keep her anger at bay. She knew she was being ridiculous, after all, Lloyd had just been trying to have a good time with her, but right now she did not care. Pulling out a brochure of the town they were just outside of she started looking for a place where they could spend the night.

As she leafed through the crumpled paper, Lloyd groaned, “Great idea, Harumi. Let’s just find a hotel, right? Except how are we going to get there, there’s no way we’re going to walk out in that storm.”

“Watch me,” Harumi snipped back, finally unable to contain the wave of frustration that had built up inside her. She pushed the car door open once more, this time forcing her way through the sheets of rain. The cold hit her like an icy slap, but the rush of adrenaline made her push back against the elements. She was ready to brave the night and the downpour just to get away from the stifling tension in the car.

“Harumi!” Lloyd shouted, stumbling out after her, his shoes squelching against the watery ground. “You’re going to get soaked! Come back!” When she didn’t respond he took that as his sign to catch up with her.

The two splashed through the rising puddles, each step becoming a battle. Harumi was fueled by annoyance and the urge for freedom, while Lloyd followed close behind, his voice a mix of worry and exasperation. “This is the worst idea you’ve ever had!” he panted, nearly slipping on the wet gravel.

“Your idea of romance was getting stuck in a car. How is this worse?” she hollered back, her hair plastered to her face and soaking through to her skin. “I’d take my chances with anything else!”

About forty-five minutes later they were met with the faint shimmer of street lamps flashing ahead, illuminating a small, rustic-looking inn. The sign read “Willow Creek Lodge” swaying slightly as the wind howled around it. Harumi felt an overwhelming sense of relief flush over her; a sanctuary within reach. “See? That wasn’t so hard, was it?” she laughed half-exhausted and half-triumphant, turning back to look at Lloyd, who was struggling to keep pace. As they approached the inn, the old wooden door creaked open to reveal a tiny, warm lobby adorned with vintage decor. A fire crackled in a corner, filling the air with a welcoming aroma. Behind the counter, a middle-aged woman with glasses perched on her nose looked up, her brows knitted in concern.

“Goodness gracious! You two are soaked!” she exclaimed, her kind face breaking into a gentle smile. “What brings you out in the storm?”

“Car trouble,” Lloyd answered, shaking off like a wet dog once more. “Can we get a room? We don’t want to stay out there any longer.”

The woman nodded hurriedly, reaching under the counter. “Of course, I have one room left for the night. Just one bed, but it’ll keep you both warm and dry.”

Harumi shared a glance with Lloyd; there was a moment of silent communication—a pang of uncertainty mixed with reluctant agreement. They had come this far only to be thrust into closer quarters than either had anticipated. “We’ll take it,” Harumi said, breaking the tension.

“Room 2B,” the innkeeper said, handing them an antique brass key. “Just up the stairs to your right. I’ll prepare some hot chocolate for you while you settle in.”

“Thanks,” Lloyd said quickly, feeling a sudden wave of gratitude amidst the embarrassment. They trudged up the creaky staircase, neither of them saying a word due to lingering frustrations and now embracement. Yes, they'd been dating for some time now but they had never shared a bed and neither one of them knew what to expect.

Once in the room, Lloyd looked around at the quaint decor before walking over to the window to check if the storm had lessened at all. As he peered out, the relentless rain blurred everything, like the world had filtered into a watercolor painting, moving and vibrant. He sighed, feeling the fatigue settle in his bones. “Looks like we’re stuck here for the night after all,” he announced, turning back toward Harumi, who had already thrown her damp jacket onto a chair. “You can have the bed, I don't mind sleeping on the chair.”

Harumi looked over at him and a part of her, the part that held grudges, really wanted to take him up on that offer. But she couldn’t ignore the softening of her heart at his willingness to sacrifice his comfort for hers. She folded her arms and shook her head. “I’m not taking the bed. We’ll figure this out.”

Lloyd raised an eyebrow, stepping away from the window. “What do you mean we’ll figure this out? Harumi, this isn't exactly a shared living space. It’s a tiny room with one bed!”

Harumi took a deep breath, battling the remnants of her frustration. “We’re not going to let the storm win. We shouldn’t let this ruin our night. It’s just a bed. We can share it… like adults.” She almost found herself laughing at the way his face reddened at her statement. “You’re not scared, are you?”

“What?! No! Of course not!” Lloyd sputtered, stumbling slightly over his words. “It’s just… we’ve never… you know…” He trailed off, uncertain how to even finish the sentence.

“Just what?” Harumi pressed playfully, crossing the room to stand in front of him, arms still folded defiantly.

Lloyd ran a hand through his wet hair, his nervous energy palpable. “It feels… different. Like everything will change after tonight.”

Harumi tilted her head wet strands of hair falling around her face like an elegant frame. “Well isn't our whole relationship based on change,” she challenged, an inviting smile breaking through her frustration. Beneath that banter, there was a distinct tension lingering in the air—the awareness of just how close they both were, physically and emotionally.

“Okay, fair point,” Lloyd conceded, his demeanor softening as he caught her gaze. “But still… I’m pretty sure sharing a bed would take things to a whole different level.”

“Then let’s take things to a whole different level,” Harumi replied, reveling in the spark of excitement in her voice. He blinked at her, clearly taken aback. “We’re dating, right? Sharing a bed isn’t that big a deal.”

Lloyd scratched the back of his neck, continuing to eye her warily, “I mean, it just feels… so permanent.”

“That’s the thing!” Harumi laughed, her heart racing at his unexpected vulnerability. “Nothing in life is permanent. It’s full of risks, and adventures… like driving into a storm!” She stepped back slightly, her back hitting the wooden dresser. “We can either drown in frustration or we step forward and take a leap.”

The tension in the air shifted, a whisper of understanding passing between them. Lloyd took a step closer, his brooding expression transforming into a tentative smile. “Okay, then. One bed.” He made his way to the side of the bed, flopping down onto it with a bounce.

Harumi watched him with a fond smile. She really couldn't stay mad at him when all he had wanted to do was make her happy. A soft knock at the door pulled her from her thoughts and she was reminded of the promise of hot chocolate. “Come in!” she called, watching as the innkeeper opened the door, a tray of steaming mugs in hand.

“Here you go, hot chocolate just for you two!” she beamed, setting the tray down on the small table. “And here’s a change of clothes, I wouldn't want you catching a cold.”

Harumi’s eyes lit up at the sight of the soft flannel pajamas and wool socks. “You’re a lifesaver!” she exclaimed, grabbing the clothes with a grin. She turned to Lloyd, who was already reaching for a mug of hot chocolate, barely contained by his own satisfaction.

“Thanks!” he said, wrapping both hands around the warm cup. The steam wafting up brought with it a sense of comfort, like a warm embrace against the storm raging outside.

The innkeeper chuckled. “No problem at all! You two look like you could use a bit of pampering after being out in that weather. The storm can whip up fast out here in the country, but at least you’re safe now.” She gave them one last smile and turned to leave. “Just let me know if you need anything else.”

After swapping out their wet clothes for the comfy pajamas and finishing off the rest of the chocolatey goodness in their mugs the two settled into the bed. Harumi nestled against the pillows, her heart pounding slightly as Lloyd turned off the bedside lamp, casting the room into a cozy twilight glow. The rain continued its relentless dance against the windows. The storm outside had transformed from a nuisance into a rhythmic backdrop, their own little symphony.

“Do you think it'll let up anytime soon?” Lloyd asked, breaking the silence as he shifted, propping himself up on one elbow, looking intently at her.

“Probably not,” Harumi replied with a soft smile, her heart fluttering. The solitude of the room enveloped them in a cocoon of warmth and intimacy. Without a second thought, she inched herself closer until she felt the warmth radiating off Lloyd’s body, a comfortable weight she couldn’t help but crave. Lloyd watched her trying to gauge what was okay and what would be crossing a line in this situation. Hesitantly he pulled her closer, smiling to himself when she let out a sigh of contentment. Instinctively he wrapped his arms around her protectively and held her tight, the stress of earlier slipping away in the quiet moments they shared. The tensions that had once defined their night now faded, replaced with a serenity neither had expected in their first shared night.

Love makes some do irrational things. That statement rings true to someone like Jay. Except to him... every action for you is rational.

To Jay no one else matters but you and his love for you. This belief of his makes him perform recklessly. If something makes him look heroic, if you see him as someone who can protect you, it doesn't matter what he goes through.

Every scar he has... every wound on his skin... it's all meant for you. Most of it was actually avoidable danger. Yet he threw himself into it just to impress you.

Jay feels he does so much for you. Who cares if the others think he's lost it! He's happy to do anything for you if it means you'll love him.

... so why do you bother hanging out with the other ninja?

If you love him... why do you listen to them and not him? How come you don't trust him? He loves you more than them....

The idea of you not loving him is too much for his delusions...

So he decides he'll just have to show you how much he cares.

Cord digs into your skin, the restraints clearly tied tight enough to leave a rash. You struggle against the chair your body has been sat in. Although your moments freeze when someone skips through the door, a smile on their face.

"There you are, baby! I see you're awake~!" The blue ninja greets in a sing-song tone. His eyes hold a strange form of adoration towards you. Even though he was the one who tied you to a chair far as you know....

You struggle more in your restraints, grunting under your breath while Jay comes closer. He looks giddy as he holds your face in his hands. In fact, his gaze is deranged.

"I felt if I brought you here we could have some more privacy while we talk!" Jay chirps. Where exactly here was is unknown to you. "Your behavior around the others has been worrying to me...."

Your behavior? This was coming from Jay, the one the others have been warning you about. He used to be your friend, all sweet and kind around if not a bit nervous. Now he's literally the one who has kidnapped you.

The others were right about him... he's dangerous.

"I'm starting to think you don't love me..." Jay says in a soft tone, a hint of sadness in his voice. "Please tell me that isn't true...?"

You say nothing and note the slight panic on Jay's face.

"Wait, come on, baby! No one else understands me except you!" Jay pleads, letting of you for just a moment so he can steady himself. "Haven't I proven myself enough? Hang on..."

You evade your gaze then you see him move up his shirt to point to one of his scars. There's a... concerning amount of them. You find yourself feeling bad until you remind yourself of your situation.

"Look! Right here!" Jay jabs at his skin and you find yourself flinching. "I made this mark on myself to show you how much I love you!" He then sees your face and clears his throat. "It happened while I was protecting you... because I love you and I KNOW you love me too!"

Jay appears to be breathing heavier than normal. He studies you uncomfortable face for a moment before making an expression like he just realized something. His gaze grows darker....

"Oh... I get it..." Jay says through gritted teeth. "The others must've told you lies about us, huh?"

You finally find your voice. However, talking to Jay in such an emotional state proves to be a difficult task.

"What lies?"

"That they love you more than me! That I'm trying to hurt you and that you don't actually love me!" Jay snaps, grabbing the back of the chair so both of his arms are by the sides of your head. "Don't tell me you believe that crap!"

You shrink in your seat, feeling Jay's warm breath fan against your face. His gaze never leaves you. Even when he slide downwards to kneel against you, he can't stop looking at you.

"They never loved you. Only I love you." Jay says in a huff, reaching out to gently caress your cheek. You try to pull away from the touch but he holds you still. "That's why I brought you here in private." He smiles, eying your lips. "I wanted to show you how much I care."

"Jay, you're not-"

He leans closer, keeping you both at eye level. You try to turn you head away but Jay only shushes you before whispering in your ear.

"Even if they told you not to love me... I'm sure I can rekindle it between us. Just relax, I'll be gentle for you."

Your heart falls into your gut the moment your lips meet his, your fear muffled by passion.

NINJAGO MOVIE AU

OKAY SO NINJAGO MOVID AU W ARIN, SORA AND WLYDFYRE SO HERE WE GO! But first big thanks to my friend @imotakkun who helped me come up with some stuff for this au 🤩‼️

First off, the ninja, when we saw them in the movie they were all highschoolers. But if we'll still applying some rules from the show we can assume they're all adults by now.

Now, at first, I was gonna have them be in college, but we have to take in how the movie ended. However, I did more thinking, and ninja's identities have been revealed, so it's safe to assume college and any part of their daily aspects have been affected.

So what happens? Well, first, I'm trying to figure out something equivalent to the merge, but I'm not sure if it's gonna an actual event this au as I don't want it being exactly like the merge.

But for the ninja, I came up with an idea. However, it's quite angsty. Well, Garamadon is now good, so the ninja have no one to defend ninjago from? What if this caused them all to slowly distance themselves, but before the final blow, what if Wu went missing? Wu going missing is what can be the final straw, and the ninja go there separate ways.

Yeah, that'd be pretty painful, I think.

Now I'm thinking that right after Wu disappears, something happens that like the merge can happen and cause all these people to go missing, and can open a new book of possibilities? But I'm still thinking, so if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share!

Anyways so after this event, that's the end of the original ninja, and years go by and no one has seen them. Like in series I'll add a timeskip, but this one will be confirmed (lol) I'll say 5 years.

Now something like the merge has happened, all these new developments in Ninjago City, all these new people, and the world has adjusted. So when this big event happened Arin and Sora could be like 10 then after the timeskip they'd be 15.

OKAY, now to Ninjago High School!!! Let's start with Arin and Sora. In the series they seemed to get along with people well in the crossroads, so I would like to apply this to this au.

Let's start with Arin, first off, he's a huge ninja fan, who doesn't like the ninja!? I would like to imagine that the school has a ninja fan club which he'd absolutely be the president of.

Also, he's extremely friendly, so I think he'd be pretty popular having a great personality, being a ninja fan, and making some pretty delicious pies.

To add on, he'd also definitely be into an elective where he can bake, he'd also most likely be a huge history nerd. (Since in the show tells Lloyd about all the types of pie crust, also ninja fan sooo)

Now, to the angsty part of Arin, in the big event, like in the show, he lost his parents. And well, I'd kinda wanna make this au a tad more realistic, so, following the disappearance of his parents, the world's all in chaos. However, after a while since school is mandatory here, perhaps one of his teachers caught onto this and he was put in foster care.

Unfortunately, his current foster parents aren't all too nice :( So he spends most of his time in school anyway. Not that he minds, it just gives him the chance to better his school record for college.

Luckily for him he has a great best friend!

Sora!!!

Let's dive into her story. So to start off, she's definitely a stem girl, loves stem, is a huggeeeee stem nerd. I'd imagine she's as popular as Arin. They're just seen as that duo in the halls. I mean, why wouldn't she be popular? She's super skillful, independent, and smart! (Perhaps trans? 👀)

She's also really easy to get along with. She reminds me of those nice popular girls you see around school who are crazy talented and in all these extracurricular activities.

Speaking of Sora most definitely loves all things cats, and is a huge music nerd you cannot convince me otherwise. Though I can also see her being a huge gamer so she'd definitely be I'm her school's esports club.

Now, as to her backstory...like in the show, she's a runaway, and she often compares how much better her new school is compared to her old one. Especially since her hometown sucked.

Now, no one really knows where she came from. She was just there for freshman orientation. Since she'd good at tech stuff (and she's a good student), she'd be able to escape getting put in the foster system. Whenever someone checks her records, she can just hack them.

Now, for where she lives, this would be kinda tricky, but I'd like to imagine her working at a library, and her boss (Mr frohicky) let's her stay in the library over night.

And it's not all bad! Sora even discovered a secret room hidden in the library, which she turns onto her own room. (think of Amitys secret room in the library from the owl house) She just really loves it, and it's definitely her safe space.

Sora often has sleepovers with Arin in the library. The two get a bunch of books and blankets and make a tiny fort.

And since the library has computers and free wifi it's the ultimate spot for sleepovers.

Arin would often geek out about the Ninja and ninjago history, showing Sora books, videos, photos, and stories of the ninja.

And in return, Sora would show Arin a bunch of video games, music, and her current experiments.

The two talked about everything! Heck Sora even offered to hack Arin out of the foster system, he denied, though, as it was too risky, plus he didn't want her getting caught and also being put in the foster system.

But it was fine, as they spent most of their time in school, the two did almost everything together. They were the it duo of the school. They were friendly, skilled, and straight A student, so it was a no-brainer when they were called into the office to show the new student around!

Wlydfyre, well, she's wild, I mean, what can you expect from a kid who grew up in the wild? She would often go to the nearest junkyard and do what she could with what she found. Sometimes, she'd get caught, but she's too slippery to actually get caught. She'd often use her powers, too, which appeared out of nowhere, but she didn't question it. How did this girl never get restraint? Who knows?

Until she found someone like her, a guy with fire powers?? Kai had found the girl and, after a bit of talking, decided, 'I'm adopting this child', and without all the paperwork! It was a win-win situation, adopt kid, no paperwork, yayy!!

So Kai being Kai... sent her to a highschool...yeah kinda questionable on his part, but eh governments have done worse.

But that's a story for another time. What Arin didn't expect was seeing his best friend gain these magical tech powers?

It even shocked her. You see, they were in a tight situation, causing them having to defend themselves, so Arin did his fanboy spinjitzu, and Sora discovered her magical tech powers. Through this baby dragon??(where had he come from?)

After the two got away, and the baby dragon just?? Disappeared, they were wondering if they were both collectively hallucinating. But that thought would be broken when the police appeared and ARRESTED THEM?

Welp can't do much when you're in jail. Both were in a sort of panic as Arin didn't want to deal with his foster parents, and Sora had no parents, so she'd definitely get caught.

Luckily for them, they were released by their older cousin.

EXCEPT THEY HAD NO OLDER COUSIN? It seemed to be this blonde guy? They couldn't really see his face as he wore a hood, but something about him was familiar to Arin.

After they left the station, both Arin and Sora were pretty cautious because...well, stranger danger? But he did bail them out.

That was until the guy took off his hood which made the two do a double take.

It was THE green ninja, Lloyd Garamdon?

Lloyd had gone years without seeing any of the ninjas, that was until he and Kai had recently found each other again. And when he found out Kai had found a kid from the wild? And he took it under his wing. He definitely didn't think he'd see the day where Kai was taking on a mentorship kinda role, yet here they are.

But anyways Lloyd was lonely, and to put it lightly really, really sad. He had been alone for about five years. He'd often visit his parents, but they were currently off on a vacation, so it was just him. Man he really missed his friends.

He decided to be the sneaky ninja he was and go out at night and see what's up.

Well, what he didn't expect to see two figures, one doing spinjitzu and the other had..Elemental powers? Before he could go up to the two, the police got to them first.

Good thing he was a master of disguise.

Once he got them out of jail, he did NOT expect to see just two lil teenagers. It reminded him of when he was in highschool and well.

I'm assuming you've all watched the ninjago movie.

So when asked who was doing spinjitzu and using Elemental powers during the street fight. The two younger duo were well surprised.

Especially Arin, poor boy, was about to faint. As the two explained that it was, in fact, them, Lloyd was getting confused now.

They both achieved these skills, WITHOUT training?

He silently cursed Wu in his head. Well, he thought he could take them under his wing just like his uncle had done! How hard could it be? Right? Right?

Everyone screamed when the baby dragon from earlier appeared out of NOWHERE.

Yeah, Lloyd had his work cut out for him.

OKAY SO THATS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR, sorry if the writings not that good...I've never made a full au before EVER, I'll try and make some art for it when I have the chance. I kinda wanted to add some type of realistic affect to this au this yk talking about foster system and just generally child services (as i and ppl close to me have experinced it sooo) ALSO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT. Seasons Tier List

I didn't feel like going to sleep so I decided to do my personal ranking of all Ninjago seasons so far:

(Long Post incoming)

Pilots: Pretty good, as an intro to the show they hold up fairly well. They set up the main plot and character motivations and lay the foundation for the found family that eventually spawns. A little cringe now and don't compare at all to the later seasons, but it's cool

Rise of the Snakes: Again, decent. I like the way each ninja had a focus episode one after the other, I really wish it could've be applied to other seasons. There's a few duds in there but most of the filler is actually fun. The final few episodes are great, and obviously nostalgia is there. (Meant to put it higher than the pilots but we'll ignore that pls)

Legacy of the Green Ninja: I'll be honest, I forgot half of the stuff that happens in this season. The Darkleys episode is the only filler episode I really like. The latter half of the season is better, but stakes don't feel high enough for what's supposed to be the final battle till Nya gets captured. I'll watch it for the memes and the final battle, but that's it.

Rebooted: I have fond memories of this season, since it was the first one I properly sat down and watched. There's a lot of cool ideas and themes at play here that just weren't fully executed for me. As bad as the love triangle is, it gave us a bit of a look at Jay's insecurity issues, wish they narrowed in on that rather than the fight. I liked the idea of tech gone wrong in a world where we hadn't seen much tech that didn't involve magic at that point. Evil Wu and ninja in space weren't explored enough, and I don't love the fact that the Overlord is the villian again.

Tournament of Elements: God this season was fun. I'm a sucker for reality competition type settings, and seeing more Elemental Masters was enough to hook me. Love Chen and all his wacky shenanigans, loved the Sensei Garmadon story and his sacrifice. The competition itself was more interesting than the snake stuff, but I loved the tension that was brought. Fixing the relationship between Jay and Cole was God's work, and the Skailor story was just fun.

Possession: Don't hate me for this but I don't get all the hype around season 5. The character work is great in this season and the aesthetics and tone is on point, but something about it just doesn't spark my attention as much. Morro's backstory is good, but I feel like he was a bit....flat? He was like a song that has a cool intro and outro but a monotone chorus; I like him for his history and ending, not for anything interesting he does in the season. But the Nya storyline and Ghost Cole were absolutely perfect.

Skybound: This used to be my favourite season (I'm a hard-core Jaya shipper). And although I have come to see the cracks in the writing and the misogyny towards Nya in years since, I still love the vibes this season gave. Most of the other ninja don't have much of a storyline, but I kinda live for it. Jay being almost like a chosen one, the only one with a wish to stop Nadakhan suits him. I love the villian dynamic between the two, Nadakhan is charming but genuinely threatening and scary. The overall themes of wishing vs acting are very sweet. And of course the Jaya stuff gets together well in the end.

Day of the Departed: Confession time; I've never actually seen it *audience gasps*. I just never saw it on tv, it's not on Netflix in Ireland so I completely missed it in my rewatch. I have a rough understanding of what happens in it but....yeah, I can't really rank it if I've no basis for it so 🤷‍♀️

Hands of Time: Yawn. I genuinely struggle to find things I enjoy about this season. I also can't find as many obvious faults unlike some seasons, so that just shows you how little I care about it. Krux and Acronix are very one-dimesional to me, and I wasn't that captivated by the Smith family reunion. Next

Sons of Garmadon: Easily my favourite season of all time, I've revisited so often and never gotten bored. Everything from the tone, the character arcs, the plot, the animation is just superb. I didn't see this until I rejoined the fandom back in Covid, so I was in awe at how much the show had improved. And the bleak ending is such a change of pace, it's a real "oh shit" moment

Hunted: Similar to SoG, it's so well put together and a great followup from it. I don't care for the hunters as villians as much as I did with Garmadon, but Faith was a great addition to the cast. Having the ninjas give teen Wu the life lessons he gave to them over the years was an inspired choice. And the resistance arc was amazing. This season is what got me to love dystopian fiction.

March of the Oni: Yeah...it's cool. I think I like it in the context of the tribute to the WilFilm era and the entire 10 seasons of Ninjago as a whole than as an actual season. The Cole death fakeout was a bit cheap, but otherwise it was a sweet sendoff to the WilFilm era.

Forbidden Spinjitzu: So this season was unintentionally the thing that got me back into Ninjago. My brother and I stumbled across it on Netflix one day and put it on, thinking it was a spinoff or reboot. Let's just say I was wildly confused and slightly horrofied. But once I went back and watched the Oni Triology, I didn't hate it as much. Ik many believe the Ice Chapter is better than the Fire Chapter, but for me their pretty even. I didn't love the cringy humour and dumb filler of Fire Chapter, and I found the Ice Chapter kinda boring. As a whole though, its not that bad. The animation is great and I enjoyed Aspheera as a villian.

Prime Empire: I grew up with Lego videogames, so this season is really fun for me. I like how it felt sort of low stakes and more of an adventure (that is until people's lives actual started running out). I think this is the only season that made the 11 minute episodes work, feeling like watching a Lets Play of a game. Jay as a leader was cool, and while I think Unagami was underdeveloped, I kinda like that it didn't take a big character arc for Jay to win, rather just trusting his expertise and relating to the villian on a personal level. It is a little cringe at times, but otherwise a chill season.

Master of the Mountain: As much as I loved Cole's story and the worldbuilding around Shintaro, the short episodes really break the pacing for me. I wasn't a big fan of Wu's plotline (if you're going to write about an old man feeling his mortality and age, maybe don't make it as goofy) but it meant he was paired with Cole, which was a great choice. Skull Sorcerer was a meh villian, but I loved Vania, as well as the stuff with the Munce and Geckle. And the art was incredible.

The Island: ehhhh.....This didn't really do anything for me. It set up the lore behind Seabound, but that's about it. I didn't really care about the rest of it, but there were a few funny moments ig.

Seabound: Great worldbuilding, great character arc for Nya (finally adressing the impact of Mya's return, even if years late, was needed). I didn't mind Kalmaar as a villian, a little flat but he felt like a genuine threat. The art is fabulous and the ending broke me. But it felt a little slow at times for my taste.

Crystallised: Not even gonna bother discussing this. Nope, next.

DR S1: Wow this was a cool season. Art was great, the plot was intriguing and did wonders for the worldbuilding. Arin and Sora are amazing additions, I was worried I wouldn't like them but they're very well-developed and nuances. All the other ninja are great too, each of their returns had my going crazy lol. Part 1 drags a little, but its quickly made up for.

DR S2: Ninjago with a continous narrative across seasons?! Unheard of, I love it. I love how dark it went, and the topics brought up in it feel very real and grounded in reality. Didn't think Ninjago could do allegories well, but they did it. Part 1 had me on the edge of my seat, I could feel the tension and horror so vividly. Part 2 was everything I loved about Tournament of Elements but better. Arin's story was tragic but so understandable, Lloyd is finally adressing his anxiety (we've being saying it for years) and Sora comes into her own.

DR S3: Haven't seen any of it yet, can't rank it (tho I'm assuming it'll be S tier once I do)

So in conclusion, Ninjago is at its peak right now, fuck off Crystallised, and I've probably pissed a lot of people off...whoops

...Misako probably tried juggling taking care of Lloyd and trying to find answers about the prophecy for a while before taking him to Darkley's.

She's not the type to give up quickly, and we've seen that she'd do nearly anything for Lloyd.

Maybe at first, she tried to find answers near their home. When she had to search further, she probably tried to take him with her. Difficult, since he was probably a toddler, but manageable. She could handle that. Try and bring things along to keep him entertained, while she tried to find a way to save him from fate.

At some point, her research probably became more hands-on, like when we first meet her, when the giant Stone Warrior was found.

Maybe Lloyd, now a bit older, thought that stuff was fun, and liked getting to travel around with his mum, even if she wouldn't tell him what she was trying to find. And he'd stop asking because it seemed to make her sad.

And then, on one trip, Misako is forced to face the truth she's been denying this whole time.

One trip, Lloyd nearly gets hurt, or put in danger or something. Something Misako feared, but assured herself would never happen. Not on her watch. But it did. And she was forced to accept that this was too dangerous to bring Lloyd along on.

But.... she couldn't just give up... she'd watch him play, see him be so happy... she didn't want that to have to change when it came to light that he'd have to fight his father. She had to save him, too. It's been a while since Garmadon was banished, been a while since she's heard from her dear husband, but she still has to try. She managed to get through to him before...

She has to save them.

She looks into options, somewhere for Lloyd to stay. Somewhere safe.

Wu is out of the question. He's a dear friend and she trusts him, but he listens to destiny too much. What if he found out? And he also wound up in a lot of trouble, looking out for Ninjago and all...

Lloyd had always wanted to be like his father.

She HATED the idea, but... a boarding school was safer than travelling Ninjago with his mother. ...And maybe teaching him to be bad would delay the prophecy, give her more time to try and save her family..... it's an awful thought, she doesn't WANT him to be bad, but... if it could delay the final battle....

More Tea Shop AU changes!

Day of the Departed: -Lloyd is with Mystake during this episode but other than that the plot is basically the same. (Ignore the fact that the time difference would mean the Yin/Yang eclipse happened way earlier. This is Ninjago, we don't care about timeline here.)

Season 7: -Lloyd has no "Master in Training" arc (he also never got Garm's robes because that was just weird in general). -Instead, Cole serves as the leader throughout the entire series and he's the one to achieve the rank of Master after this season. -Obviously the season isn't really Lloyd-focused so it doesn't change all that much, except Mystake is involved a bit in the attempts to reverse Wu's ageing (unfortunately she is out of Yesterday's Tea and by the time she gets some, he's already been reversed and lost in time).

Season 8: -HO BOY THIS IS WHERE THE FUN STARTS -So it starts out pretty much the same, with the Ninja getting hired to protect the royal family against this spooky new "Sons of Garmadon" threat. -Lloyd finds out that they're after the Oni masks and immediately goes to contact Mystake, since she's, y'know, one of the original Oni warlords who owned the masks (my money's on either Decer or Ha-eed), but she's oh-so-conveniently absent from the shop. It's not a huge deal, since she's a cryptic old demon lady who does what she wants, but it's definitely unfortunate timing. -We actually reveal that Mr E is Echo (they only didn't in canon because there was already so much new lore, but since Lloyd already knows about his Oni/Dragon heritage we have time for some Zane/Echo angst). -The season goes normally until, of course, the scene where Lloyd and Harumi go to retrieve the Mask of Hatred. Since Lloyd's heritage is common knowledge by now, there's no "how did you know I was part Oni?" stuff (unclear whether or not the other Ninja figure it out). Instead, they get the mask and get out, but are then promptly "captured" by the Sons of Garmadon. Lloyd is pitching escape plans, which Harumi vetoes, and once they're approaching the Temple of Resurrection or whatever, she reveals her identity as the Quiet One and begins the resurrection ceremony (I'm gonna cut the hair thing because it really didn't make sense). -Resurrection stuff is happening, Harumi's screaming into a portal, the Ninja are trying to stop the ceremony, Mystake chooses now to conveniently come back and help, they stop the ceremony but obviously not fast enough. -Party at Laughy's, Mystake is also here and she takes Misako's place in that whole "hey, this sucks but don't let it ruin you as a person" conversation. -Anyway of course Lloyd does not listen because we have to have a dramatic fight scene where his soul and body are crushed. It's a lot closer of a fight because Lloyd is perfectly capable of accessing his Oni form so there's a LOT of damage done before Garmadon inevitably wins and takes over Ninjago and "kills" the Ninja and stuff.

Season 9: -I lied, THIS is where the fun starts. -Lloyd is a broken mess, his friends are dead and he has no idea where Mystake is or if she's alive, he's powerless and just trying to make it through the next day. Typical Lloyd stuff. -The only thing that gives him any hope is when they find Mystake again with the rest of the Resistance, although there's a pretty heated conversation about maybe TELLING HIM before sending his friends to an unfamiliar realm with no preparation and no clear way of getting home. -Did Mystake send the to the First Realm specifically so they could free the Hunters from their tyrannical ruler? Who knows? Maybe. -The biggest difference from canon is that, upon finding out that Mystake didn't survive her encounter with Garmadon, Lloyd discovers that while his green power still isn't working, his Oni form is back to normal. How does he discover this? By going absolutely apeshit on Garmadon's forces. -Harumi's dead, Mystake's dead, Garmadon is pissed because that's his daughter figure and Lloyd is pissed because that's his mother/grandmother figure. Now there's two Oni beating eachother's asses on top of Borg Tower and no one has any clue how to deal with them. -Eventually the Ninja find their way out of the First Realm, and Lloyd realizes that fighting his father is doing absolutely nothing and tries the whole "I cannot fight you, but I can resist you" thing (though not exactly the same way). Anyway part 3 coming in a sec.

Finally Nya's season! Our queen, our water goddess, our amazing girl gets what she deserves! 😍😍😍

What I know about the season beforehand is that Nya's powers apparently are getting problematic for some reasons? Which is a pretty common topic in other shows but it's a first in Ninjago, usually the elemental powers don't have focus and I LOVE that we now get to see stuff like that 💕💕💕

I know there should be Wojira involved, trusting The Island to deliver that little foreshadowing at the end of the episode 🤷‍♀️ Also Maya is back... MAYA IS FINALLY BACK AFTER SEVEN SEASONS YES!!! 😭😭😭

I have nothing else to say, I have no idea what this will bring, hopefully something as good as Master of the Mountain! 🖤

Warning reader, I might be fangirling to an extreme because I love mah girl Nya and I've been wanting Kai and Nya's parents to be back ever since Hands of Time ended. So yeah... screaming alert 😅

At this point I don't doubt that the intro is great, we reached such a level of animation and we got The Fold 😍😍 Love the marine vibe and how it's similar to The Island, because it's a great intro 👌

NOW I like the writing! Maybe they rushed the dialogue's quality for The Island to get here? It's just fun and in character, maybe it's just me but I'm enjoying it a lot for now

How many episodes are in this? Wiki says ten, then I checked again and it's sixteen like with Master of Mountain... eh, it looks good so far so it's fine whatever happens 🤷‍♀️
