honestly i should really make names for them SOON... i struggle w names esp when theres contextual conventions for them. i mean i should have more experience w this cus my ocverse ive been working on for like 7 yrs has EXTREMELY similar conventions (most characters name themselves, which leads to names like 'zeltaveen' and 'doba') but also ive only named a Few of the many characters from that over the years... that ive condemned most of them to abstraction before even coming up with a name for them feels particularly cruel, i simply just Dont think about names fast

twt made me think of this but we were really robbed of really good bathena angst of 4x13/14... like the first the fight and then bobby getting shot.. tbh how they did resolve the fight was slightly disappointing i mean it works but I wanted more i wanted a bigger conversation that went way deeper into why they were even distant and fighting in the first place and that's a whole thing

but now imagine more angst purposes they take longer to resolve their fight. they're preoccupied by eddie and figuring out the sniper case and they just avoid each other . then we flash towards the trap and bobby getting stuck and shot and athena helpless outside knowing that he could die in there and the last conversation they had was a fight and how their marriage is possibly failing... and that can't be how it ends bc even tho things are rough she still loves bobby and wants to be with him she can't do it without him. I feel like also gives her even stronger motivation to take over someone's gear and go into the fire for him. it makes this move and her saying she needs her partner have so much more impact and meaning (not that it didn't originally but) and on bobby's side he's possibly dying in this fire terribly injured knowing how bad he left things with athena, regretting the fight regretting hiding things like sponsoring Rachel and wishing so badly he could change things so it wouldn't end like this (something about bobby facing death and focusing on his regrets and what he could have done better)

and the relief of athena appearing in the flame to save him. they may not be In perfect place but she'll always come and save him she'll always be there for him. and then once they're out and safe and in the hospital there will be a real conversation, they'll talk in depth about athena's attack and the affects it had on them both. about their struggles with communication how its not communication they're used, they'll talk about bobby sponsoring rachel and more on why he hid it (I think theres more to it and then just trying to get back at athena so to speak) and they talk about what it means to them personally being partners being married... basically just more in depth and detail version of their canon conversation sorta but better and they actually talk about everything else

Also Puppy had their third nail trim tonight. Took all of 5 minutes. They just laid down and went to town on a chew while I took the clippers to each nail. They were a little uneasy about the table at first (table = ears, and ears = torture 😅), but they were fine once I pulled out the dental chew. Not sure what they put in those but it's like crack to them. Anyway, they didn't even protest me manipulating their paws (the rear nails were pretty short so I couldn't get to them without pushing on the pads to get them through the hair), so I'm pretty thrilled! Not a huge surprise considering puppy sat on the counter with a dental chew and didn't even miss a beat when they got their third round of vaccines last week 😅 food makes everything better...

i will say one of the things im not crazy abt when it comes to mob psycho is toichiros ending bc i think the "you are not allowed to sacrifice yourself you actually have to do the work to get better for the sake of the people you hurt" thing goes hard as hell but then he just like. gets sent to prison. and on one hand, having already introduced the governments involvement in stopping claw, it would be kind of weird if they didnt do anything about him after he surrenders, but on the other hand it does kinda take the wind out of those thematic sails yknow. but the narrative also never treats his imprisonment itself as redemptive. its just kind of a loose end that i get why it wasnt tied up but its one those spaces where any fan work about toichiro post-claw really fascinates me bc i like seeing what other people do with this weird unresolved grey area

i use medibang!! ive been using it forrrr maybe like 7ish years now... ive been meaning to one day get clip studio or something but i havent had the chance to buy it and im also a little intimidated at the idea of having to readjust to a new program HAHA

i use a few different brushes!! it depends on what im drawing and what i feel like using at the time (i should probably plan them out more often, actually)

oil paint, g pen, fluffy watercolor, and round brush (wet) are all brushes that come with medibang!!! i know i made Another Marker myself, and im pretttttty sure i made the first marker one too? my favorites are round brush and g pen though!!! i tend to use fluffy watercolor more for colors rather than lineart

(i also keep correction at around 12, i would use it more since my hands arent the steadiest but i find high correction to be kinda confusing so i just keep it low)

the paper effect is smth i learned liiiike maybe two years ago ish? and i have simply KEPT doing it ever since HAHA i do wanna mess around with more textures cus i dont want to be too reliant on just one texture for my art but it IS very fun and i like it...

medibang has a feature that makes it REALLY easy to do!!

custom noise is my BEST friend. the sand, watercolor paper (specifically 2), and marker paper (specifically 2) are the ones i use most often!!!

i also will copy n paste color layers and lineart layer, add gaussian blur and do like 200 layer effects (i most often do this to lineart, then set it to hard light and somewhere between 30-60% opacity to mimic bleeding from ink!!). i DO often experiment w messing w colors wo layer effects cus its fun but sometimes its just more fun to use layer effects instead!!

medibang also has materials!!

i dont use them as often but i like this one :D ive used it on a handful of things

and just for fun!!! things look suuuper different without this stuff. like the thing i just posted used a LOT of this (to be honest its cus i really really didnt wanna do shading for it LOL but it still felt too flat and i feel like these effects are a nice middle ground- but i will still often use this stuff when i AM shading things)

sometimes i will also use similar custom noise textures but for different parts of the image!!! like in this one i had a waatercolor texture for the bg but a seperate one for the foreground

i DIIID a while back post a pic of kinger (its an older post on this acc- not old by most standards but it was during the first little while after i made this blog while i was still finding my footing w the characters) that used a bunch of different textures which i got from freestocktextures.com!! but i havent used them since. i keep thinking i should again

ANYWAY thats basically it!!!! i looove medibang theres a bunch of little things ive figured out abt using it over the yrs that im so fond of it. and THANK U again!!!!!! :']

hi, introduction post i guess

so, this blog is going to basically be my way of making reminders for myself to do things i need to do

for now, the only reminders will be once daily to brush your teeth, and once daily to eat, but I’ll be adding a new one about every month, starting the beginning of march 2024, and going by category(brushing teeth for example is hygiene, so would reminders to bathe or wash your face or hair, reminders to eat and drink water would be nourishment, reminders to stretch and move would be exercise, reminders to do a quick meditation or participate in a hobby would be mental, reminders to play with your animals or talk to someone(in person or online) would be social, and theres probably more things im missing) cyclically, so id add one of each other category before i add another hygiene reminder to the mix, and i wouldnt add two from the same category in a row, because i feel like that would be more overwhelming to try to be constantly adding things that all feel like the same type of activity to do

I’ll post polls a week before the new addition gets made to decide what specifically from the next category should be added(for example, in august the options will probably be reminders to move, reminders to stretch, or something else you think belongs in the “exercise” category(after the initial poll therell be a poll whether there should be a tutorial video(not mine) attached with like a basic bodyweight workout or stretch, or maybe just a song a day to dance to type deal idk we’ll see with the poll i guess))
