I need to draw Avery and Lolo as my little ponies. Avarice Angel, blonde maned white furred pegasus with a syringe cutie mark. (He went to school for veterinary medicine, and now a syringe is how he operates as Lolo's blood bag. Among other things.) Jubilee Jump, earth pony with curly black mane and grey fur, his cutie mark is a knife. Don't worry about it, it definitely means the foal you kidnapped is destined for sacrifice, don't worrryyy.

Hi! I’m trying to learn Spanish and one thing I’ve found is that my usually ok listening comprehension completely fails me with certain accents.. especially Argentinian Spanish 😄 although also more generally other South American varieties. Do you have any tips for practicing these? Also speaking of, could you help me figure out what’s being said in slide 4 of this post? https://www.instagram.com/p/DLFdR-3RYKN/?ig=&img_index=4

I will say that Argentinian Spanish is harder to understand than others, although Chilean is still probably the hardest to understand

Your best bet is to first understand how vos is used because that's really common in a lot of South America, especially rioplatense Spanish

But I think what helps the most is getting listening practice with it, particularly dramas and news broadcasts from a specific country

I think it's easier to read Spanish - Julio Cortázar and Jorge Luis Borges are the writers from Argentina that most come to mind, but it's better to practice listening when it's more difficult accents

[also I'm not 100% sure, but they were talking about a "prize" and then I think they said "it was worth it" and "this friendship was worth it" - at least I think it was amistad; what they definitely said was valió la pena which is "it was worth it / it was worthwhile", literally "it was worth the pain" but a native speaker would probably understand it better]
