So nice to see OMITB and WWDITS finally get some Emmys appreciation!
#i mean i am expecting the bear to sweep the comedy categories#w/ maybe abbot elementary winning the few it doesn't#even though it is definitely a stretch to call the bear a comedy#even if it does deserve its flowers#but i am so happy that omitb and wwdits get so much love#even if i feel like it's probably 'the meryl streep effect'#for the former; as in people taking it more seriously b/c meryl streep was there#even if its probably the weakest of the seasons so far#have to say tho was expecting meryl and martin to get nominated and would not have been shocked for steve#but i am pleasantly surprised that paul rudd and selena (finally) got a nom#and that matt berry got an acting nom for wwdits#i do wonder if there might have been some switching up of the nomination rules#since i would've had matt berry and ayo in the supporting categories (i believe ayo won that one in the past)#and meryl and paul rudd in guest

Genuinly can’t believe how big the budget for casting must be, cause like I imagine having Selena Gomez as a series regular is already fairly pricey by tv show standards, but throw in: Sting, Cara delevigne, Paul Rudd, meryl Streep, Jesse Williams, Amy Schumer and jane lynch as reoccurring or guest actors, like even if it’s just for a single episode or a couple of scenes, that’s gotta be expensive
the funniest scene of only murders in the building has to be when they announce that a very vanilla and average actress is coming to audition and meryl fucking streep walks in

I was so excited about the cast list for season 3, and while I understand the major guest stars are major actors and probably have busy schedules, it feels like they're not being utilized enough, especially Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd. They both play vital characters in this season, but yet, you don't see them a lot! I think it would have been more fun to have them as minor characters you just see around versus a plot that involves them. I never thought the show would disappoint me.
I the first two seasons worked because it was dark and mysterious. This season is all about a musical that no one cares about

[ad_1] ‘Only Murders in the Building’ season 3 features Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd as guest starsMeryl Streep has impressed fans watching the third season of Hulu's Only Murders in the Building, both through her acting and her singing. Despite being only two episodes into her guest stint, Streep's performance has garnered praise. This season, the setting of the show has shifted from apartments to a theater, where the murder-mystery plot revolves around a theater performer portrayed by Paul Rudd.In the latest episode titled Grab Your Hankies, the show concluded with an original song called Look for the Light. Written by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Sara Bareilles. The song was performed by Streep and later joined by Ashley Park. Streep, known for her iconic talent, immediately fell in love with the song when she heard it over Zoom, according to showrunner John Hoffman. The audience's response on social media shows their love for the song, with many expressing a desire for a full album. Although Streep has showcased her singing abilities in previous films like Into the Woods and Mamma Mia!, the episode's director, Adam Shankman, aimed to highlight the simplicity of the performance, which resonated with viewers. The inclusion of the song in Tuesday's episode is part of a new concept introduced by Short's character, who wants to transform a dramatic play into a musical to uncover the killer. Streep's involvement in the musical element has generated Emmy award buzz for her performance in this season. Only Murders in the Building premiered in 2021 and marked Steve Martin's first regular starring role in a television series. The show also features Selena Gomez and Martin Short, with different guest stars joining each season. [ad_2]

Hi there! I’m curious to know have there been a lot of celebrity sightings at the Merrily shows? Thank you for all you do with this wonderful account.
There have been a lot of celebrity sightings at the show, and also off-Broadway, but only a few photos of celebrities have been posted on the official Merrily social media accounts (Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sutton Foster). Unlike other productions, Merrily continues to sell out every show, meaning that they don’t need constant PR so they rarely promote who is at the show.
Recent guests have included Melissa McCarthy (who went backstage and met the cast), Al Yankovic, Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessie Ware, Jon Bass, Lucy Hale, and many Broadway actors and friends. A New York Post sightings column referenced (probably via the PR team) a range of actors who had been to the show early in the run (Maya Rudolph, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Paul Rudd and Hugh Jackman): https://jgroffdaily.tumblr.com/post/731387571451658240/also-this-one
During the Buzzfeed puppies interview, Jonathan mentioned that Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters, amongst others, saw the show off-Broadway.
Zachary Quinto was at the opening and came back a few weeks later with Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange. Others at the opening included Anna Wintour, Cynthia Erivo, Lena Waithe, Raul Castillo (with Alexis Forte) and Gideon Glick.
Toby Onwumere saw the show with some friends, including Jonathan’s former partner, Tima Botwin.
There was a weekly summary posted on this account of celebrities seen at the show during the off-Broadway run.
Update: Whoopi Goldberg was at the show on 29 November and took photos with the cast. Rachel McAdams was also at the same matinee. Alan Menken and Hillary Clinton were at the 30 November show. David Fincher was at a recent show. Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey were at the 6 December evening show. Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells were at the 13 December matinee. Golden Globes 2020: Priyanka Chopra to Walk Red Carpet, Nominations Lists, Host, Date-Time And Interesting Facts

Golden Globes 2020: Priyanka Chopra to Walk Red Carpet, Nominations Lists, Host, Date-Time And Interesting Facts - Nominations of Golden Globes 2020 The official award season this year has begun with the arrival of Golden Globes 2020 on Monday, January 5. The stunning award ceremony, hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will see who’s who of both the international film and TV industries in attendance. The 77th Golden Globes, like the ceremony every year, is going to set the stage for the upcoming big awards – SAG Awards, BAFTAs and the Oscars. Interestingly, for Indians, the Golden Globes 2020 can end up being more exciting as there’s a strong possibility of actor Priyanka Chopra accompanying her husband, Nick Jonas, at the ceremony and walking the red carpet as Nick has been announced as one of the presenters for the evening.
Golden Globe Awards 2020: Date and Time in India
The 77th Golden Globes will be held on January 5, 2020, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. As per the time difference, the awards can be watched live from around 7 am on January 6, Monday.
Where to watch the Golden Globe Awards 2020 in India?
The prestigious awards ceremony will be telecast live on Comedy Central India, Vh1 India and Colors Infinity at around 7: 30 am IST on Monday, January 6. The ceremony will be aired again at around 9 pm on Monday on the same channels.
Golden Globes 2020 live streaming in India
India will not see live streaming of the Golden Globe Awards 2020. The ceremony will be aired on three channels in India and you have an option of tuning into these channels through Airtel Xstream, JioTV and the Vodafone Play app apart from watching it directly on your TV screens by buying the respective subscriptions.
The host of Golden Globes 2020
Comedian Ricky Gervais, who is infamous for making controversial statements on Angelina Jolie, Mel Gibson, Madonna and Jodie Foster among others, has returned to host the ceremony for the fifth time. Gervais recently revealed in an official statement that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association offered him a sum that he couldn’t refuse even though he had decided to not host the show this year.
Interesting facts about Golden Globes 2020
The HFPA has decided to go vegan this year. An official announcement was made about the food being absolutely plant-based this time. HFPA President, Lorenzo Soria, revealed that they want the ceremony to be ‘more sustainable’ and it’s their first step in the direction. The plastic usage has been kept to minimal with the organisers deciding upon serving water in glass bottles instead of the plastic ones that used to be served earlier. The organisers have decided to continue with their no-fuss-everything-is-cool kind of approach to the ceremony and that’s the reason they haven’t kept any traditionally formal setting for food, bar and seating. The ceremony will see an open bar, table seating that lets the guests move about freely and a totally relaxed attitude towards viral selfies and moments from inside the hall. Also, for the Game of Thrones lovers across the world, this would be the last time the team might get reunited at an official award ceremony to cheer for Kit Harington who has been nominated in the Best Actor Drama Series category at the event.
Nominations of Golden Globes 2020
The jury once again faced the ire on social media for neglecting the contribution of female directors in producing good content for films and TV shows, much like the last year. Netflix’s The Crown and Apple TV’s The Morning Show seem strong contenders to win the Best Television Drama Series trophy while Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and The Irishman seem appealing as winners in Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, Best Motion Picture Drama categories, respectively. Break out the pumpkin spice lattes and the scary movies. October is here, and Netflix came prepared with films and TV shows to keep you cozy indoors.
As usual, the streaming giant has its own original films and series to premiere. The Laundromat, Stephen Soderbergh’s film starring Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas, is based on the Panama Papers scandal. The Netflix-produced drama, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and hit limited theaters on Sept. 27, is available online Oct. 18.
Dolemite Is My Name, a biopic, features Eddie Murphy as Rudy Ray Moore, a comedian, actor and musician who was considered the godfather of rap music. Dolemite premieres online Oct. 25, following a limited theatrical release.
One highly anticipated release, arriving on Oct. 11, is El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which picks up with Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) after the events of that show’s 2013 series finale.
To get ready for Halloween, check out Rattlesnake, a psychological horror movie directed by Zak Hilditch, on Oct. 25. The second season of Netflix’s Insatiable is also airing this month. You can watch the satirical comedy, starring Debbie Ryan, on Oct. 11.
The network is continuing a new experiment with rolling out a show’s episodes week by week, like its counterparts on network television, with Rhythm and Flow, a hip-hop competition. Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and T.I. will host, with new episodes airing Wednesdays, starting Oct. 9. For comedy fans, animated series Big Mouth returns with its third season on Oct. 4, and the fifth season of Schitt’s Creek, Eugene and Dan Levy’s comedy from the CBC, will air on Netflix on Oct. 10.
