So I actually found mox's promo really interesting on dynamite. It's a recurring theme in hangman's feuds that a driving motivator for his opponent's hatred is resentment and/or jealousy, for his "spot" (swerve, ospreay) or his connection with the fans (mjf). And the tone is often one of hangman not deserving whatever it is he has, hangman's wasted all his opportunities, they should go to swerve ospreay mjf etc. with mox, he uses a lot of the same verbiage, and he puts a real patronising spin on it, acting so disappointed in the cowboy for not living up to his potential. But there's also this undertone of "yeah you're mentally ill, so what, so am i, so are all of us, you don't see ME making a big fuss about it".

Mox had an alcohol addiction, mox has had mental breakdowns, mox has been alone at the last stop before utter despair, and no one ever helped him crawl back to the light, he just had to dust himself off and come back like he always does. In his mind, mox has never been allowed to be vulnerable, while hangman made it virtually his gimmick - even though, as he knows very well, hangman's absolutely capable of the same kind of ruthless take-no-shit violence that he is.

The name calling "emo cowboy crybaby" stuff does feel out of step with who hangman is now, until you imagine how much it must drive someone like Mox CRAZY that hangman still comes out the heel tunnel, that he'd say "I don't know that I've ever understood why even one of you would cheer for me". The very fact that hangman has to take time to figure this out, to commit to being the guy he really wants to be whether good or bad, and that everyone is apparently perfectly happy to wait for him, they'll support him and love him no matter what, and they'd do so even more so if he shed a tear or two - thats what he finds so disgusting.

Tl;dr: it's toxic masculinity again. Nobody taught mox that it's okay to cry and he is really taking this out on hangman
