I decided to redraw some old crossover fanart from 2018 of underswap and soul eater
This was mostly spurred on due to recently deciding to re watch soul eater while being balls deep in an undertale phase.
I think when I originally drew this I (incorrectly) thought that swap sans and black star and then swap papyrus and soul eater had similar personalities. They very much don’t for the most part, and I assume the off interpretation was due to me only just having stumbled across undertale and it’s various aus at the time. I think in some isolated aspects they might have some similarity, but for the most part are all very different characters. I do however still think that they look super cool in the soul eater outfits so I guess they’re just cosplaying.
If I was to ever actually make a proper crossover au I’d put the characters in as their own selves but altered to fit the world rather than stuffing them into roles that don’t necessarily fit.
I’ve kinda been wanting to revisit this for a few years (at least the last two or three) so I’m glad I finally got around to it.
Here’s also the separated segments so you can see them bigger!

I’ll also pop the old version under the cut for comparison!

hi!! do you have any advice on how to finish projects faster? or at least more efficiently? i take a few days to finish a piece (1 or 2 days at minimum) and i want to learn how to refine my process
that can depend a lot on what kind of look you’re trying to achieve, and what exactly is slowing you down!
things you can do if you take too long doing lineart:
Practice sketching in pen & marker! Do exercises that train your hand to be more efficient. If you can draw the same thing with 5 lines that previously took you 20, you’ll cut down on time.
Try a different brush! Maybe the one you’re using is too soft, and you have to keep going back over the lines to make them dark enough. There might be another brush that gets the same result with less effort.
Zoom out! On paper, a drawing that’s 2 inches tall will take wayyyy less time than a drawing that’s as big as your torso. When you zoom in, you’re essentially making the whole drawing bigger. When I draw, I like to be able to see the whole pose. If you’re worried about it not being perfectly clean, I promise you, no one is paying that close attention.
Skip the lineart entirely! Odds are, your sketches might already be pretty clean. If it takes you 20 minutes to do a sketch and 2 hours to do the lineart, but the lines look almost the same, then why bother doing the lineart?
similar advice for coloring/rendering!
Maybe it’s your art software! I can color 10x faster in CSP than anything else, because CSP makes it really easy to color in flats.
Limit how many types of brushes you use. There ARE certain effects (like convincing digital watercolor) that really do need 5-10 different brushes to get the look Just Right, but going through your tool menus to swap brushes will add time. When I render (which is rare, honestly) I stick to one, maybe two painterly brushes.
other general advice:
Don’t be so hard on yourself! Honestly, 1-2 days is still objectively pretty fast!
If you’re a perfectionist who will arbitrarily spend too much time fiddling and fiddling until it’s justttttt right, try setting timers! Give yourself a predetermined amount of time for the lineart, for the coloring, for the rendering, etc and MOVE ON once that timer goes off. Not everything you do has to be your magnum opus.
Use keyboard shortcuts!!!!!!!! I don’t like using screen tablets, especially if I can’t use shortcuts. If you have a tablet with programmable buttons or some kind of remote, that can work too. I see people use bluetooth xbox controllers sometimes, which is a good option if you already have that. Personally, I use so many shortcuts that there are never enough buttons to program, so I just stick with a keyboard.
JUST KEEP AT IT! The more you draw, the faster you get. I avoided doing paneled comics for nearly 10 years cause they took so much effort, and would only do comics where each panel was its own layer/image. After enough time doing that, I eventually got good enough at everything else to do with comics that the paneling aspect wasn’t that difficult anymore.

I have been staring and admiring your piece of the holiday/dreemurr kids at the piano, and it’s so beautiful. The rendering is honestly the nicest/ most appealing rendering that i’ve seen in my opinion, i was wondering if you would share your process or a tutorial of sorts? No pressure, your art is so lovely and i strive to achieve a similar look someday :)
oh my goodness thank you!! 😭😭😭😭 thats such high praise.. and of course i can share!
so basically how i went about this is, this drawing came second to the first one, it literally ocurred to me in the middle of rendering the dark world kris and a lot of the composition choices came from the contrast between them. the timelapse starts with an already-laid-out piano sketch cuz i had to correct the perspective on the first one so many times that i took this shortcut for more accuracy, afterwards i did a quick sketch of the poses i imagined and very loosely arranged the background... i shouldve honestly used perspective lines but im too stubborn about them. anyways speaking of perspective, in the first one not only did i want to give it depth but also incline it somewhat, you will see its not exactly on a horizontal axis but tilted slightly, this is because i wanted to evoke a sense of instability/of being pulled in. so with the second canvas you can see me tilting it as i go to be a proper mirror to the first one.
enough talk on perspective (esp considering u asked for rendering particularly)... lets talk colors! so particularly for this canvas ill say.... the holiday kitchen was a bit nightmareish in terms of color palette bro its SO WHITE. you will see i went back and forth a few times about what tone to make the piano, the background, etc, so as to not be too bright next to the characters. speaking of which, i colored them first under the sketch and immediately started shifting hues, values, trying to find the vibe i wanted, because of the way i render, which is by merging the lineart with the color layer, this is because i like rendering to feel like im "sculpting" out my drawing, its easier to control shapes and textures this way (for me), i do understand it's not the most efficient one tho! sometimes i do make separate layers for complicated details that i dont want compromising the whole layer. i primarily use lasso fill after merging the layers because it gives off a cleaner look, and its much faster to manipulate the shapes and silhouettes with it (this is a core thing in my recent art cuz,, i used to spend waaaaay too much time doing everything by brush and at some point it started not only limiting me but putting me off from rendering altogether). then i used some textured brushes here and there to blend some colors and to deliberately place lineart where i want.
this piece in particular had a looot of back and forth of switching the character's palettes and outfits so that they could bounce off of each other better and make the viewer's eye navigate through more than one focal point. i wasnt planning on anything more than a subtle shadow here and there but i felt like the characters lacked a bit of depth, so i added shadows and highlights appropriately (always playing off from the base color of the thing im rendering, be it skin, clothes, i work the colors individually so that it feels less predictable). afterwards you just have to adjust the lighting on the background, figure out which details you want to make stand out (as u can see im not too overly detailed on background elements, just enough to properly suggest the room), and .. you're done!!

So, this week's episode...
[spoilers below cut]
Man I tell you, another heavy day in my production job. And on top of that, pollen season. There goes my allergies smh. Well, at least I get bit of a break, have some food with me, and I can finally watch today's episode. Let's see what we got! *sees thumbnail* 😶 .....I haven't even pressed on the video and my theorist senses are tingling already
"wait what?"
Alright, so I'm going to need you to follow along with me here, cool? Now, doesn't 4's pose seem familiar to you? Well, it should because that's exactly the same pose as the ringmaster 4 render from the early version of the WOTFI website. We all know it was really Mr Puzzles behind it all.
And now look at the ads! It certainly feels very similar to what happened in the "Mario PC Virus" episode, and y'know how I already pointed out how it could connect to the goop!4 theory. BUT y'know what other video had ads?
That's suspicious. That's sus. 💅 /ref
"Don't you think it's Ben trolling again? Or just taking creative liberties?"
No bc the thing is, it's the thumbnail and it's the Team who gave him the prompt in the first place. Ofc Ben can take creative liberties, but essentially it has to follow the prompt. How have I not started the episode yet?! *turns to the Team* I'm watching you.... /silly
(the following is my live reaction:)
and there's our beloved intro *claps like an excited lil kid*
A convention? oooooh
LOOK AT THEM AAAAA
ofc 3 talking about his villain self 😌↕️
Clench being a VTuber was not on my bingo card but honestly, good for him (and I do love Tari sticking out from the table hehe)
and MELONY! you got what Axol's been working on, Two Piece. Gotta love the continuity, dude. The cover looks great!
Melony: "At least, I hope so..." 🥺 Oh honey, Axol would've been so proud of you and what you've done. I can already imagine him singing praises to it and say "look at what my girlfriend and I have done! :D"
YES, let's spread the word!! ofc Mario and 4 would help, they care so much about their friends
ngl Mario's got a good tactic.
and there goes 3's eye lol (don't think about goop!4 don't think about goop!4 don't think about goop!4)
*wii sports theme plays*
YES YES YES oh I'm so here for it
look at them go :D
nahnahnah, Team. You think you can do a speed-up moment and for me not to pause it frame by frame? smh /silly
luckily for the rest of yall, I got you:
and yes, it did have some repeats that I think they're very interesting: "turns you muscular SUPER chad", "makes you rich", "become SWAG", "get your a bunch of friends", "become a member of society", "become a SIGMA", get a romantic partner ("girlfriend" (the one with Mario) or "boyfriend", "you WON'T NEED SLEEP", "become AWESOME"/"RESPECTED"
Ofc it could just be how much 4 wants to emphasize the benefits of getting the manga. But it certainly feels strange, doesn't it? *writing notes down like a madman*
also a win for the skittle squad
and ay, it's got 4's stamp of approval!! (curious that the Team used the old model instead of current one 🤔)
hehe look at 4 pouting while he sits 💙
SMG4: "This is how it works!" 4, bud, are you ok?
ok first off, WE GOT THE OG 4 MODEL BACK?! WHAT? and two, Mario has a point. 4 is taking things too far and really needs a wake-up call. I have a feeling as to why 4 may be acting this way....
oh. oh okay.
So they decided to bring parallels to show how much 4 and Mario's fighting is affecting her/reminding her of her family separating. Hmm. Alright, Team, which one of you decided to strike that dagger into my heart? 😭 /lh
And Mario walked away just like Melony's mom did *head in hands*
and that's 4 alright. He would say that "everything's fine" when it's clearly not smh
4, buddy no :(
SMG3: "The real villain is society..." Well you ain't wrong, 3
Wait a second. Enhance..... enhance.....
I see what you did there, Shadow 😌↕️
love that Toad's like right here too
OMG was that 4's "date" from the "Find Luigi" episode? IT IS.
I'm tell yall, 4 has a secret art account and is selling his work as merch/prints. I mean, c'mon
NO 4, people were waiting for Silksong for decades naurrrr
oh Melony, my girl :(
*pauses episode* ........they did not just do that. I'm rewinding that moment 2/3 times now, what do you mean I was right about my suspicions? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY JUST BROUGHT BACK IGBP?!
I need to walk away. I need to leave the room, do a cartwheel and dive into a lake, bc HUH?!
okok, let's breathe. goop!4 is gonna happen, and this is not just a "haha Ink is a crazy lil theorist wishing for this to happen". The fact that he said "nowadays" means that the situation is affecting him too. Ofc it would, that's his livelihood, his WHOLE PURPOSE as a meme guardian. But, other than that, it makes sense why he's doing this (I'll talk about it soon)
Mario: "SMG4, you're better than this! You've done enough damage." 😨 holy shit. it's like I got shot through the heart WTF. I might just cry in this episode
who keeps punching me in the FEELSSSSS 😭 poor Melony, those guys were absolute jerks smh (desperate times do call for desperate measures *ready to make swiss cheese*)
*head in hands* :(
at least they can apologise
*points at screen* hehe that's me :) I'm just a reporter
did I hear the peanut gallery audio from ace attorney? 👀 (<- ace attorney fan, don't mind Ink)
The Crew came? 🥹
EVEN SHROOMY?
OUGH that got to me, dude. They all came to support her and enjoyed the manga. I'm tearing up, dude.....
what did I say? Melony may have not had both parents as they were separating, lost Axol to the events of the Genesis/Revelations arc, was betrayed by who she thought was a friend who understood her, and despite it all, she's been so strong. Having friends, her found family...

man, this hit me hard and it's not even from the allergies, I tell you that
the truest supporters are the ones who care
this episode wants me dead /very pos
what's the lesson, Mario?
SMG4: "Is that we shouldn't care so much about fame and profit and instead be proud of our friend's work? No matter how successful it is?" yeah pretty much... "No"? wdym "no"?
....nahnahnah, you can't end the episode there, what the hell do you mean by that?
You can't close it off like that! What about my suspicions!? You can't just move on like that in front of my theorist self, c'mon!!
sitcom laugh track and everything, smh /silly
Congrats to SteveAlexAri12 for your art being featured in the end credits for this episode 🎉 cool art of WPNZ
um. Team, any particular why? just asking /j
.・-: ✧ :--: ✧ :-・.
Wow, this. This was absolutely fantastic omg. The writing in this was so good and I loved the tidbits of animation we got, like when Mario and 4 were picking up the pages to clean! This was somehow brilliant, and this is coming from a long-time viewer.
It' crazy's awesome that they brought Wolfychu back to do some lines this episode, and I was right about the Waggy cameo from Shadow (YES!). Also, EVAN! You make the cover of the manga? It looks SO GOOD, dude!! As always, great work with the writing on your end 👏
I've already mentioned Melony but we have to talk about the boys. Both Mario and 4 had good intentions to help their friend out. "I would do anything to not lose my friends" and that's exactly what 4 did. The algorithm has been affecting him so much that he didn't want Melony to go through it either. So, he went overboard with the crazy advertising and such, but he still cared for his friend. And a touch of self-doubt and insecurity from IGBP is back because he thought he wasn't doing enough. What good of a friend is he if he can't help out? The savior complex in him would say that he isn't good enough to help Melony, to "save" her from the low viewer retention. That he isn't enough, so he went desperate to have anyone take a copy of the manga. This isn't just about selling a book, it's that he's worth the friendships he has and they can always come to him if they need anything.
He doesn't want to lose them.
Ofc Mario cares so much about 4, they've known each other for years. Best of friends. If anything, Mario would know everything's not fine with 4's actions and thoughts in general. It's why the line, "SMG4, you're better than this! You've done enough damage" from Mario to 4 hits so hard. 4 was back to the "None of you understand the work I do" moment from Mar10, relapsing, and Mario needed to remind 4 of his true self, the one that cared for his friends without perfections. That instead of helping as 4 sees it, 4 was hurting Melony unintentionally, and he has to open his eyes to see that. Two sides, indeed.
Curious that the episode ended with the not "go cuckoo crazy" lesson instead of what 4 said. Goop!4 would eventually happen, bc at this point, yes. But what Mario said is exactly what 4's mindset is rn. 4 is bottling up his emotions and trauma and as long as he doesn't think about it for too long, everything's fine. As long as he doesn't reach that breakpoint, he's fine. In some way, he learned his lesson after IGBP but not quite. For one, he still doubts himself with the guilt of IGBP on top of it. And two, nothing is letting him move on from his trauma. His in-universe audience isn't letting him, Puzzles during WOTFI wasn't letting him, the memories he's been suppressing wasn't enough.
Why does he go through the extreme? Bc he thinks that it would solve everything for him. Like how he locked Puzzles in prison, thinking that Puzzles would remain there when we all know a prison escape is bound to happen. Like the Meme Factory itself was an elaborate trap. Whatever it takes to protect himself emotionally, as he's under the line from having a meltdown, he's fine. But what is that line? What is his breaking point? The thing is he wouldn't known, as shown in this episode, thinking he would still fix it. Everything's fine, he's fine.
And y'know what the cherry on top is? That, other than 4 and Mario enjoying the manga, Boopkins and Luigi were the first to be interested in Melony's creation, regardless of popularity. Very representative of Kevin irl and the deeper significance of IGBP.
....whoops sorry, I went on rambling for too long. I mean, c'mon, you should know the drill by now *points at bio*. If anything, this episode is the biggest piece of evidence for the goop!4 theory, I'm sure our local co-CEO of the theory Funkii (hey moot!) and other goop!4 enthusiasts would agree, YESSIR. Overall, this was such a sweet episode and I can't wait for more. That's all from me, and remember: numbers always go first!
*taps mic* ...well chat, how do we feel knowing that the star trio all canonically wore maid outfits? (well technically Madoka outfits from 4 & Mario but still)
#smg4#smg4 spoilers#smg4 mario#smg4 melony#ink reviews#WE ARE SO BACKKKK#oh I'm having a FIELD DAY with this one :)#also ben. I gotta ask: what was the prompt for the thumbnail? y'know just asking and totally not bc of theory reasons :3

I just found your art recently, and I got so curious. How'd you learn to draw in this vintage cartoon style? It's sooo sick and I'm always looking to learn ^^
Thank you! I learned to draw art from realism, I was practicing rendering and drawing realistic animals before I was ever interested in cartoons. Honestly what made me want to be an animator was the YouTube art and animation community around like 2016. I heavily studied Vivziepop’s artwork before the hazbin pilot ever came out, I think I learned a lot about arcs and exaggeration and silhouettes from her school animations. I also studied a lot of classical animators like James Baxter, I would go on YouTube and flip through their rough animations frame by frame until the way things moved kinda ingrained itself in my head (I basically did this with every animator that caught my eye online, the warrior cats MAP community was full of talented people). Studying the things that inspire you makes you eventually adopt a style of thinking suited to that, so I started drawing with movement and expression in mind. I still practice rendering and solid drawing a lot, but especially with my recent murder drones obsession I’ve gone back to revisiting those zany silhouettes and character acting poses I learned from before, but I’m applying everything I’ve learned in my five or so years of traditional Disney style animation and acting to it. I went from realism, to copying cartoons, to studying solid acting in art, and circled back to simplifying that. Right now it’s really fun for me, I’ll probably slow down on the super cartoony stuff to some degree but it’s a fun mental break to draw like that

What has been your favourite art piece you have drawn? And your favourite character u have drawn?
AUGH I LOVE THESE QUESTIONS BUT IM SO INDECISIVE SO IM GONNA SHOW SOME OF MY FAVORITE WORKS ACROSS DIFFERENT MEDIA

This was my first creature art for the roblox game i’m helping on called Legends of Pandora, and it taught me a LOT about how to translate colors into my style

This was my first ever painting commission, and was the first time i’ve ever used gold foil and textures for paintings. Unfortunately I kinda got scammed with it, but the experience was still pretty awesome. I think the final products still looks pretty great in their room too!

This is one of a whole group of sculptures I made for my senior show for highschool! I graduated last summer, and wanted to try something new so I decided to go all out. I did sculpts, felting, and some wire art, but this cheetah is by far my favorite.
THIS WAS MY FAVORITE ART TRADE IVE DONE SO FAR!! I pushed myself a LOT with this one, I made a rendered piece with a dynamic pose, I actually tried a background for once, I tried drawing water for once, I used layer modes like multiply and lighten and stuff, and I even used a noise screen for it! This was a fun challenge

These were from a batch of my first time using Ink and paintbrushes andAHHH I honestly loved it. If i had the money for my own supplies, I’d absolutely use this again!!
THIS WAS MY FIRST 3D ENVIRONMENT!! I MADE THIS TWO WEEKS AGO AND I AM VERY PROUD!! I modeled EVERYTHING! Except the water but I taught myself how to set up the nodes for it!
AAANNNDDD my favorite character will always be Piper or Bentley, who belong in the same universe but aren’t directly connected (Piper knows Bentleys brother instead) She’s a goofball and I adore her, and all of the characters I made around her, Bentley and Maddox. Here’s some art I found on my phone.

The last one is terrible quality but i have no clue how to find the magma page i drew it on so oops. If you click on it it helps!
Also also if you meant character as preexisting character from some sort of media haha oops, i ran out of image space. I don’t often draw characters, but it’s probably art of Hancock from Fallout, who I used to teach myself new shading methods. Can you tell I try a lot of weird/random things and end up getting happy with how they turn out?
#art#design#wings of fire#dragons#oc#uhh what else do i tag here#idk#ramble#art dump#painting#traditional art#digital art#blah blah#it’s midnight i should go to sleep#verrix speaks

have u ever talked anywhere about your coloring or composition processes? u are honestly one of my favorite artists and i would love to hear any insight on how you make pieces 💓
wahh thank you TTT !!! I did sorta give a very simplistic answer here but it was more of my simpler sketchy style so lemme redo that, ill try to be consise and make this understandable ?? its a bit hard cuz it honest to god depends on what Kind of piece im even drawing, cuz for some i go the whole length of doing lineart flats and all that, others i just just fuck around untill it looks right?
i do usually start with a rough sketch or colour draft, especially with more compley pieces this helps with figuring out the feel, honestly i should spend more time drafting properly, figuring out poses and such but im so lazy i just go w the first thing that looks good
then just lines over the colour draft, fixing lots of anatomy and proportion stuff, and depending on how i wanna do the colours ill either keep the colour layers or merge them together and have the edited colours as the base colour (this might not even make sense help)
see this piece at the time gave me an insane ammount of trouble with lighting and colours, so after trying to render i ended up merging everything together....which i dont USUALLY do but the rendering is pretty similar except usually i have colours be seperated by layer,
ANYWAYS sadly i dont have a process on how it got from flats to this specific render for this piece...but i still followed my initial drafts/plans with vibe and colours and just painted over it, its why i make it after all!
but honestly a lot of times its just very simple colours and just trying to mainting good contrast and values !!!! and THEN fucking around with colours and rextures, for other pieces i kinda just paint as i go? i have this timelapse of my justice piece that may be a bit more help!
it includes the initial colour draft, the cleanup/lining process, flats, rendering, and all that so its probs the most accurate timelapse of my morecomplex work processes, with stuff that doesnt include heavier backgrounds, which is a whole OTHER topic honestly
im sorry if i cant explain it more cohesively, i genuinely barely know what im doing most times and go by muscle memory and stuff i Know but cant. Explain? like i know how light and folds work since i observed and studied them but i cannot put it into words at all )--)0
my brushes also contribute a lot to how i render and colour, depending on what i use, you can find the swatches for them here !

Brand new rebrand WOOHOOO! Here's my new sona

Her official ref sheet ^
-Read more for more info and general FAQ at the bottom
She is powered by a lemon battery (like those potato batteries children make for science projects)
The lemon that powers her is a literal actual lemon, she is just that small that it appears big
Is still functionally a lemon
But also a mech example: tail and legs
Has a shrimp cove/aquarium in her torso/body skirt thing
She doesn't know she exists
Uses any pronouns just like me but I'm using she to avoid confusion as always grumbles
She is a glorified low poly ps1,2/nintendo gamecube,ds videogame character
Meet my silly little thang lovingly dubbed Shroomp by my friend. She is the new iteration of my persona Salty/Saltsour I've had for years atp, Salty was pretty outdated. It was very important to get Shroomp right since nonetheless Saltsour has established herself in several online spaces including this one and was honestly pretty iconic! I put a lot of effort into her successor since I wanna start being a storytime ytber in the near future and maybe even a vtuber on twitch.
She is basically a combination and a love letter to everything I love and everything I am.
She was originally supposed to be realistic and humanoid like Salty herself but I found her a bit too uncanny for a main sona. (And mainly rendering a realistic fish tank everytime I wanted to color in my persona would certainly prove to be hell, I needed something simpler, but also along the way I realized, something DIFFERENT)

Now to talk a bit more about what she actually represents that's so important to me. I packed her full of little things that make me happy.
Obviously the entire mecha genre, everything cyborg, machine, robot, give it to me. Especially if it's uncanny but also sometimes silly, a bit of both worlds.
The era of semi-early internet post 2010s. I hold Windows Vista and 7 in high regards. Things like notations on YouTube seem so far away now nobody knows what I'm talking about when I'm explaining how annoying click Xs on all of them was!
Probably the most glaring thing. The heavy addition of shrimp. I like shrimp. I like eating shrimp, I like watching shrimp and I'd love to have a shrimp cove of my own they are genuinely such adorable and helpful little critters, what's not to love?
Frutiger aero. Self explanatory. The future we deserved.
Nightcore, anime and manga culture during the internet's infancy. Her big beady eyes and poses aim to replicate the artstyle of anime girls from that era
Very old videogame character models. Early 3D model presentations from Nvidia, educational games, etc. I wish I still had my PS2 and PSP
My favorite colors and compelling thought out design instead of that ugly dress/set grey fuckass lookin thing on Saltsour
Divine machinery and uncaniness of computers and machines around us
Big ass black eyes with a shine are also meant to represent the autism creature lol since I very much behave like it often times
Skirt thing - I like wearing skirts, pleated especially
Whiskers, another reference to shrimp but I also think it makes her appear subconsciously like a cat, people love cats and so do I
Triangles. They are the best shape.
These are the first early concepts for Shroomp
She was meant to be a kreaczure™️ (creature) from the very beginning it was fate
THANK YOU for scrolling and reading so far I'm gen so impressed and thankful. I must've done smth right if I kept ur attention.
Now im gonna put stuff here that most ppl probably look for in a pinned post bc I'm devious

Greetings! To start of: I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOUR ARTSTYLE!!! the way the characters look both round/softer yet very adorable, the color scheme, the way you render and so much more!!!
Sorry if this is a bit intrusive but... may you kindly with cherries on top give a lil' tutorial on how you do anatomy? If you want to do it of course...
HI GWAAHHH THANK YOU WHAT !
sacondly..... not intrusive at all!!! i'd be happy to explain (im praying you can follow along though cause im horrid at explaining stuff ashdfkahsdf)
im predicting this post will be EXTREMELY long so it will be under a cut :]
play this in the bg for the Full Experience if you want /silly /not forced
OK SOOOO the way i've learned to draw anatomy is by viewing the body as a bunch of "building blocks". this is honestly the way i've learned to draw like. everything (everything is just made of shapes if you look hard enough!!!!!), but anatomy and organic things in general are a big more complicated in the sense that these shapes connect in really weird ways and sometimes (often, depending on the style) can't just be summarized as "circle" and "square"
the way i view bodies is like this! the numbers are mainly there to show the order in which *i* place these blocks, but by no means is this the order anyone has to follow! fuck up the numbers if you want!!!! start from 6 and head to 1 if you want!! whatever makes you happy :]
but after this base sketch is done, you can basically continue drawing details like clothes, facial expressions, hair, etcetc, and soon you can have your very own gay man like the one here (or. whatever youre drawing)! (you'll also notice i tweaked the arm on the left a bit cause it was messing with me)
obviously though theres other body types out there! and luckily this "building block" thing also applies there too!
(drawing armor is also a series of building blocks as well except its less organic and more rigid/shape-y and requires a prayer to the god you hold dear)
(not very well drawn to scale cause i forgor)
you can draw all kinds of bodies if you view the body as just a series of shapes! obviously, your own personal style may impact how many shapes you see/draw, especially for more realistic styles, but generally i view em like this!
for especially complex poses, especially ones that involve perspective, its good to try to view the shapes in a more "3d" way. you can always grab a throwaway canvas/paper and practice some perspective on the side with some super simple shapes! (like how you mightve drawn 3d cubes n stuff on a 1-point or 2-point perspective plane when you were in like 6th grade or smthn i havent been to high school in years i dont remember what the grade is) drawing on the side, especially when you dont take it super serious and just kinda dick around, helps you learn a surprising amount :] if you dont get it down the first time, thats all good! there's always the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th, 500th, 1 billionth, fucktillionth time you can do it :]
as for digitigrade/furry stuff, as well as more specific parts of the body (looking at you HANDS.), they also follow the building block stuff, just kinda in a really weird way!!
as much as i love to draw him, beenilla is literally just a mess of limbs and stuff and it takes a long ass time to draw him sometimes (especially with unique poses), but he also follows the general "building block" stuff too! his is more pronounced since his arms have visible joints, and are more divided into basically a bunch of ovals and circles, but the shapes thing still applies!
for hands and paws, they also do as well (again, just about everything out there is made up of simple shapes!). they definitely take! practice to learn! drawing them can be a pain in the ass but learning them is very worth it :] i personally only draw characters with 4 fingers since its easier for me to do (who needs the pinkie anyways)!
a good thing to check out as well are references from real life *and* studying from other artists and analyzing their works and how they use certain techniques! a majority of what ive learned is from analyzing other artists actually, it's incredibly fun to see how different artists do different things and how they execute them! speedpaints can be wonderful sources of learning for this reason :]
lastly, FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO SERIOUS sticking with the same old stuff may reinforce the skills you're practicing, but NEVER be afraid of doing new things or diving into new styles and trying a new pose! sure it may look like jank the first couple of times around, but that is the learning process!!!!!!!!!!! to learn new things requires you to *do* new things, and i think theres always time to learn! thats why i think art is such a fun wonderful subject, cause you learn so much from it!!!!!!!!! and you can just do fuckin ! whatever!! just start doin stuff!!!!
i have to leave for work rn so im ending this really abruptly im so sorry but YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my weird tutorial i hope it made sense ajshdfkahsd

Cursed Luck - TGCF FANART
I'm working on a by now 35k+ word fanfic for TGCF on Ao3 and made fanarts for it here and there bit by bit. This is all the art I made so far:
Disclaimer: These are all very quickly done sketches not finished paintings or fully rendered. They are just meant to visualise some characters and concepts.
Background: The fanfic is a pre-third Ascension story of Xié Lián accidentally ending up in Ghost City a few years after his Banyue arc and ends up working at the gambler's den. He is however masked and due to a mixture of self-loathing on Huá Chéng's side, Xié Lián's astonishing luck, and pure stubbornness of the ghost King, Huá Chéng does not recognise him and manages to dig his grave deeper with each of their interactions.
In summary, it's identity porn and Xié Lián better be fast when Huá Chéng uncovers his real identity before the ghost can crush his ashes out of shame and guilt.
-

This was the first Sketch I made (about a year old) and is based on the concepts of hosts at the gambler's den.
In essence, I expanded the world building for this fanfic and separated the workers at the den in three categories: Guards, Hosts, and Maids.
(Details in the fic)
Xié Lián was sorted in the role of host most of the time due to his stunning beauty.
-

Tao is a wrath level ghost who gambled years of his existence away at the den and is now serving there as a host. He introduces Xié Lián to everything and over time they become friends.
His attitude is rather childish and youthful despite being over a century old. He has fun luring in patrons and taking them for all their worth at the gambling tables.
This was my third sketch for the story and is also already over half a year old.
-

Zhèn Yuè was the most recent addition to the casts of OCs in the story. She is a vengeful ghost who poses several mysteries at this point in the story. Established is only that she won her first gamble against Huá Chéng for resources to enact her revenge on those who killed her but then came back and asked to be dispersed. Huá Chéng made her gamble for it and she lost.
Now she is the head of his security at Ghost City's core establishments.
She and the disguised Xié Lián spar often together, which XL is always very excited about since she has a very unique fighting style.
(I want to add a bonus fic in the future about her backstory and first encounter with Huá Chéng.)
The sketch is one of the most recent ones.
-

Subsequently these are old sketches of Xié Lián sparring in his host outfit. I made these together with the sketches for Tao but didn't end up using them until the last chapter I posted 2 days ago.
-

This shows the specific scene of Xié Lián's and Zhèn Yuè's first spar. Xié Lián having once been the strongest martial god defeats her ofc but during their spar he notices something very rare: she uses a fighting style he has never encountered before.
Being the — honestly — nerd he is when it comes to all things marital arts he gets really excited and asks to be taught the technique, forgetting the circumstances and that he was still pointing a sword at her.
He was denied. Making him very sad 😔
The most recent sketch.
-

Lastly this is a sneak peak for the next chapter and will be part of the reveal. So I won't add too much here. One of the more recent sketches along with Zhèn Yuè's.
As I said these are all sketches. I just wanted to share my love for this fandom and ship! I'm so excited to get to writing the next chapter once I find the time!!!
Any feedback would be appreciated 🥰
I like to think that I improved over time.
Oh also here is the fic in case any of you are interested: https://archiveofourown.org/works/54425590

Hi! I really love your art! It’s been a huge inspiration to me and a motivation to finally sit down and learn to draw. Care to spare any tips for a beginner? 🥹
What would you describe your art style as? And what’s your usual process? Any favorite brushes?
I hope one day I’ll be able to be as good at drawing as you are ❤️
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA FIRST OF IM SO HAPPY YOU STARTED!!!!😭😭😭😭 AND IM SO HONORED TOO???!!!!!

(I'm sorry it took me a while to properly answer!!! I wanted to give the best advice I could sooo…there's a lot of stuff in here, so everything is under the cut + some links)
1. style
I usually describe my style as semi realistic, though I felt like I've been stylizing a little bit more lately (mostly in hair). But it is usually a normal thing to happen! Since you starting, Im going to assume you are looking for your artstyle too! Honestly is really easy to get catch up on that, but keep you options open!!!

aidairo yuto sano demianasche
These are some of my main style references, (I tried to keep some akin like poses to show the difference).
Each of them is on a part of the “stylized - semi realistic - realism” specter, and even though the later still is very close to semi realism, you can see that they differ a lot from each other.
If I can say anything about an “artstyle”, is that is just how you like to draw some stuff. Once you're studying art, some things will come off naturally as more appealing than others! That's how you end up with your very own style.
(I like A LOT this video of Shay (sketches of shay) on this topic, is basically everything I could say and a little bit more💜)
But to resume a bit: LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS!!!! You will develop your style naturally once you understan how shapes, forms and linework connect
2. my process
I had to film a timelapse for this cause I keep turning it off to save space yay!
I cannot stress this enough but ALWAYS HAVE A REFERENCE!!!!!! REFERENCES ARE FRIENDS AND FOOD. EAT THEM UP. U BRAIN WILL THANK U LATER.
I usually keep them on a pop up window or on the left corner of my screen, so I can always reference back and forth while I draw.
(Some good tips on reference here and here)
If i could resume my process it would be references < sketching < clean up < coloring < detailing.
I don't usually do line art, just clean and refine my sketch on its own layer. Much like you would do on paper, except if I'm working on commissions, but that's another thing.
Also, my painting changed a lot over the months, but I centered my studies around this and this. I like using a base color (either beige or purple) so the colors blend more easily, it really depends on the vibe I'm going for the colors, for example, if I'm doing a darker art, I'm going for a grayish blue, if I'm going for a sunny environment I put the base under a warm beige. It goes a little bit into color theory (I learned it on a "for dummies" video so I can't explain it fully, I'm sorry)
I like to keep my layers as minimal as possible, but that's just a personal preference. When I started, I used to do a layer for everything until I gained some confidence in my brushstrokes but I think that's something that goes from artist to artist so work on what's better for you!!!
3. brushes

I also keep them as simple as I can. To sketch I like using brushes that have a pencil like texture? Anything with a little noise is a go-to for me. Also for rendering i mainly use the basic ones that come with most programs, except the one called “yeeee” that I downloaded somewhere (I can't remember it for nothing, but it's just a round brush with less opacity in the corners), and the “THE render brush” from clip studio that I use to blend here and there. The one marked with * is the one I use whenever I'm going crazy on rendering the hair with is from a really old sakimichan brush pack but is still very handy (tho I think anything with a slight "hair" texture would do the job too).
I recommend u AGAIN to found what's the best for you. What I think is the most important is to not depend 100% upon some brush.
I think is this 🥺
If there's anything specific you want me to tell don't be shy to ask!!! I will so my best to answer!
AND DON'T GIVE UP!!!!! ART IS A KNOWLEDGE THAT TAKES TIME AND PRACTICE!!!!!! YOURE DOING GREAT AS LONG AS YOU KEEP GOING!

I am in love with your colors and linework, how soft it makes everything feel and yet how sharp it all is. Especially for Dusty and Mohs, they’re so distinct!
Would you mind talking about your process a little, especially how you manage colors and rendering? I’m working on my own style right now so I’m asking some of my favorite artists how they learned and practice their own. What kind of practice helps you find the right colors for your characters?
Howdy!
First off, thank you so much for your ask, you've made my evening with your kind words on my art! ;A;
I'd like to preface my answer with a little note in that I am not a professional artist by any means. I'm a scientist by trade, so please don't take my words as gospel! I draw and create for fun and fun alone.
My process normally follows the following steps:-
Pose Reference - find, or create (mirror and phone camera my best friends), a pose you wish to use for your characters.
Use your reference to create your sketch!
My sketches are always messy, so I tend to do two or three passes before I settle on a sketch I'm happy with.
Lineart time! I . . . cannot describe my lineart process. Anyone who has watched me stream will tell you it's something. Basically I go over my sketch bit by bit with a cleaner pencil brush and add texture and depth as I go with different sizes and pressure.
Base colours! Just select and fill, nothing fancy here.
Shading - normally I slap a multiply layer on the whole piece, then erase highlights. Then I work up the values for more depth and lighting. I normally use my textured brushes here for more texture.
Adjustments! I'd say this is probably my most important step. I spend a lot of time adjusting levels and tones to my liking. You can use layer corrections for this!
Final touches! Time for some pretty dust particles, little highlights, and some splashes of final texture.
Note that if I'm making a piece with a full background, I'll tend to paint the whole background first, and then add the character. I find this allows my characters to feel properly embedded in the piece, and ensure I use proper tone and colour from their environment to inform their own palettes. When creating a background, I will create a composite image using photos, sketches, palettes etc. as a reference before painting.
In regard to my colour choices for my characters, I normally utilise a mix of real world and canon-compliant references, alongside random palettes if I find I'm struggling for inspiration. I find Coolors a really great resource for creating random palettes, but also to create a palette from a photograph or reference should you want something a little more focussed! Stein's colour palette, for example, is fully picked from a photo of some Namibian Pietersite!
When it comes to shading and rendering, my biggest advice is just to practice and see what works for you! I'm a huge fan of utilising texture in my work, which can be achieved with a variety of different brushes. For example, I enjoy using a mixture of hard and soft pencils for my lines (Artemus Pencil Pack on Clip Studio Paint), and then a gouache and round mixing brush (pre-installed as standard on Clip Studio Paint) for my shadows and lights. Clipping masks and layer modes are also my best friends - I love playing around with different layer modes such as overlays, soft lights and multiply layers to achieve a homogenous "feel" to each piece; but honestly sometimes it really is just like throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks for you! Experiment, play around! Find something that you really enjoy working with and make it your own. ::3
My final piece of advice would be, don't be afraid to reference! Look at characters and backgrounds in real life, animated movies, video games etc. etc. and make notes on what you like about those pieces - do little studies to try and emulate the style and then work on making it your own. A lot of my background inspiration (when I can actually be bothered to paint a full background!) comes from Disney features such as Bambi and Lilo & Stitch; and of course learning to draw Hearthians initially came from referencing the in-game models!
Thanks again for you're super sweet ask, I hope you find a style that you enjoy using! Look forward to seeing some of your artwork in the future! >w<

You know. I wish Project Moon got better porn.
Sure, there is like, one artist who makes porn of it with Boxman but like. Do we really want this guy?
Even if he's good with posing and rendering, his scenario choices have proven time and time again that this guy's gotta fucking go.
The eroticism isn't really a lasting one with his art. It just feels... shallow. I am talking about his less violating works here of course, but it feels like while you can appreciate the posing and rendering, everything else is just... wrong. Mostly due to this guy having one of the worst track records artistically speaking, out of any NSFW artist I've seen. Guys just not worth staying around really.
I am sure people have grown to like him less though. I don't really pay attention to him to be honest, and don't care to, but I am sure with him going out of his way to make the most oddly violating scenarios realized with his art, has had negative repercussions, and just makes people not want to interact with him, as things should be.
This artist just seems like the kind of guy that people give weird hand wavy "boys will be boys" excuses to while he goes off and gets to do whatever he wants, but like. Eh. Not a great guy. Just the kind of guy a niche group of odd men will rally around on rule34 or some other porn site and treat like he's the best to ever do it, while trying to defend his worst works in the same breath as praising the ones they like. I feel like this has faded though. There is only so much behavior the average man can excuse before they start to realize something is off.
Anyways this rant is extremely sleep deprived, and honestly pretty devoid of direction.

Sing a Yo-Ho! I’ll slaughter the swine!
Yo-Ho! Must be Fate’s design!
At last our tales will again intertwine!
Revenge, REVENGE, REVENGE is Gonna Be Mine!
Oh, it’s gonna be! Oh, it’s gonna be!
Oh, it’s gonna be mine!
Oh, it’s gonna be! Oh, it’s gonna be!
Oh, it’s gonna be MINE!
“Revenge is Gonna Be Mine,” Colin O’Donoghue
--------------------------------------------------------------
Initially I planned for today’s entry to be a different image, but it’s actually not finished yet: due to personal issues, the artist is taking a bit longer to complete the picture than expected. That image will be posted once it is ready, but in the meantime…here’s James Killian, posed with his inspiration, Captain Hook from “Peter Pan!”
The legendary “Shy Art Anon” did the artwork for this one. Funny enough, this was actually the first of the five images for the series to be completed, and it helped to serve as a template for the rest of the artists to use when working on their own images. I can hardly think of a better example: SAA made the official ref pic for James, so I knew they could handle him well, but I’m especially impressed with their rendering of Hook, as well as that ethereal background. As always, a stellar piece of work!
Just like our previous subject, Elias, James was actually one of the first OCs I properly wanted to make…which is ironic, since he’s the last of the five I’m featuring here in this series to make a proper written appearance, and I haven’t even done his Chapter Story yet. The reason I wanted to make James early on had nothing to do with kinks, and simply everything to do with the fact I love Disney Villains: much like the Phantom Blot, Hook has been referenced a few times in the game, and paid homage to, but there is no actual, solid, properly analogous Captain Hook CHARACTER. I honestly consider this not only surprising, but almost akin to blasphemy, as Hook is one of the most prominent of all the Disney Villains, as well as a personal major favorite of mine. So, from very early on, I felt the only thing to do was create my own version of the character.
Like Hook, James is flamboyant, theatrical, and LOUD. He’s very vain and full of himself, and has a sort of old-fashioned quality to his speech at times, calling homage to Hook’s many “hook-isms.” The most important thing I took from the Captain, however, was the way James’ ego works: Hook is an arrogant character, make no mistake, but a big part of who he is comes from how pathetic he is at the same time. Hook doesn’t just hate Peter because he cut off his hand and fed it to the crocodile: he hates Peter Pan because Pan represents everything Hook will never be, and because just about every move Peter makes emasculates and humiliates the Captain, often without Peter even really trying. Something one will note, if they watch Disney’s Hook in things where Peter is not involved, is he can actually be a genuine threat and is able to keep his cool much more easily. But once Peter is involved, Hook goes flying off the handle, and is quickly made a fool of in the process.
With James, I decided to take this idea and transform into the idea that my boi - much like Nakoda - has a very fragile sort of ego. James deliberately makes a spectacle of himself, behaving in an over-the-top manner, because he’s someone who’s always lived in the shadows of others, and has never felt fully respected or appreciated. Underneath that melodramatic demeanor, he’s actually very sad and hurt, as well as very fickle, in some ways. James can be a good sort when he wants to be, but when you put certain temptations in his path, he simply can’t be trusted, and will easily become obsessive.
This also, incidentally, applies to kinks: unlike Captain Hook, who is downright TERRIFIED of being eaten by the Crocodile or the Octopus, James is a bit more…conflicted. On the one hand, he doesn’t REALLY want to DIE…but on the other hand, the idea of himself becoming part of something “greater” than he is ends up being surprisingly irresistible. Seeing beings tower over him and getting the sensation of them lording things over him can be embarrassing, but it also makes his pulses jump. He’s both scared AND “excited” by the sensation, much in the same way I am (and my Prefect character is), although I should say James is typically much less willing. Beyond kinks, though, it’s this sort of backwards, conflicted, broken ego that informs much of who James is: he loves himself, yet he also hates himself, and that kind of mentality will always cause problems for others who get caught in the crossfire.
One last note: you’ll notice the song of choice I used for this description and the image title? While he has yet to appear in a story or art piece properly, rest assured: James does have his very own “Pan” that he loathes with all his soul, and is a major reason for why he is the way he is. His name is Matthew Satyr, and if you bring up his name around James…prepare to get an earful.

Have u ever posted your comic or animation workflow anywhere? Im super curious on how you tackle the process, especially not using a drawing tablet. I know you have a very simple (and adorable) style so that probably helps in terms of workflow -- Im just curious about the steps you take.
Thank you! With both comics and animation my key thing is to not spend too much time on any particular thing, just draw loose and fast. Honestly the only downside to drawing with a mouse is that I can tell my arm has extremely specific muscle memory regarding it- if my mouse breaks and I get a new one I have to spend a good month or so just letting my hand get used to it again lol. Same with if my setup gets readjusted too much- right now my setup is my mouse on one of those padded mousepads, on top of 2 books, with my elbow resting on my 3DS case (I'll get an actual pillow or something for it eventually lol). But luckily thanks to this I suffer very minimal wrist pain 👍
(...Okay I started to go really in depth in my process here, so sorry if this is way more than what you were asking. Putting it under a readmore just to save space lol)
With MFM in particular, I start by writing out the entire script for the next story arc, which really is just all of the dialogue and vague notes about any important actions. Then I do the paneling with very loose stick-figure like sketches of where the characters are and what they're doing. I prefer having very little planning when it comes to character poses and panel shapes, coming up with those on the fly makes things much more exciting and faster to make. But it's the opposite with dialogue... it needs to be 100% FINAL before I draw a single line lol.
That's part of my script for my most recent chapter, as well as what my extremely loose goofy thumbnail sketching is like. I write the script as one big thing and don't separate it into pages until I actually start drawing- then I go and color change it just to keep track of what dialogue goes on each page
After that, I go back and do the ACTUAL sketch, as well as the lettering (I don't believe this is how it's done professionally. I used to do lettering as the very last step in the process... but then found it hard to cram speech bubbles in the right places lmao.) After that is lineart, coloring, background flat colors, then shading/rendering for all of it. I do each step in batches, as in I sketch out ALL pages of a chapter before moving to lineart, I line ALL pages before starting coloring, etc. I find it way easier to be productive when it's broken up like that, though when I first started the comic I used to draw each page to completion before starting the next (but also, the comic's style was DRASTICALLY simpler back then haha)
(Unfortunately I merged some of the shading to the background flat colors so it's not entirely accurate... oops) FireAlpaca has a sand texture feature that I only found out about last year- adding that to the backgrounds makes them look 10x better with WAY less effort.
With animation, it depends on the project. For simple 5-10 second animation I make for fun, there's very little planning lol. I skip some steps in the process- I'll sketch out the keyframes (and maybe any difficult inbetweens if necessary), line those, then go straight into making linework inbetweens. I'm not a cleanup artist and have no experience in that, so I always find trying to line my rough animation makes everything jittery and wobbly. If I do it with a clean line from the start then I can avoid that and save a lot of time 👍
For my bigger projects (such as the Parvey cartoon and the MFM Kickstarter trailer), I do the whole animatic with final audio first and foremost, with the animatic being almost like the keyframes. I split them up into individual shots, .mp4 files anywhere between 1-30 seconds usually, and animate those one at a time. I'm a huge fan of free to use programs and try to use them as much as I possibly can, here's a list of the ones I use:
FireAlpaca- for the actual drawing part itself (storyboarding/animating/etc). FireAlpaca has a feature that lets you export every frame as it's own drawing, as well as an onion skin mode
Windows Movie Maker- for compiling all of those frames into video format, creating individual shots. If you upload all of your frames and set them to around 0.08 seconds, it equals about 12fps (I usually animate at 0.10 seconds/10fps, its a bit slower but looks nice)
Onlinesequencer.net- for making music. It's the place I've made all of my songs on, like the timeloop song, hyperworkaholic, and the background music for the MFM Kickstarter trailer.
Audacity- for editing audio/music. Also great for recording things directly from your desktop
DaVinci Resolve- for editing and putting together all of the shots into one big video. Can get kind of intensive on the computer during rendering, so watch out.
YouCut (app)- also for editing and compiling shots, I used this one a lot a couple years back but I'm not sure how well it holds up. Doesn't need much phone storage to download but needs a lot to render videos.
MS Paint (yes really)- for typing up text. FireAlpaca has a text option but I don't like it as much as Paint's.
...The only thing I genuinely can't do alone is voice acting. Luckily there's a big voice acting community on Twitter and they're all amazing to work with!
This got... way more in depth than I planned for it to be, so sorry if this is way more than what you were asking lol. But that's my general process when it comes to my art 👍

Vacationing with Otto!!
Considering I’m in a warmer part of the world and a vacation spot for some time, I figured I could take advantage of that.
The man is focused on making his dream a reality that he hasn’t taken a single day for himself..(Or you for that matter, but you knew that. He came with that baggage when you married him)
So, as per usual, you pull him away on his spinny chair, until he laughs and stands up.
“Alright! Alright! I’m done!”
He laughs even harder when you drag him up the stairs. In his mind, he can only assume that you’re up to something. (He knew all too well that you’ve had a trick up your sleeve, it’s how he came to fall in love with you into the first place)
You haven’t traveled since your honeymoon, so this is long overdue. You expected him to be confused when you put his suitcase on the bed.
You inform him that he’s going on vacation and then pack for him. As brilliant as he is, packing is somehow a struggle for him.
He’s always forgetting something at work and you remember that he forgot a bunch of hygiene products on your honeymoon.
“Where are we going?”
“…… a surprise.”
So you remain silent until you both get to the JFK airport.
However, he starts to put things together when you hand him his passport…. And when he sees the gate.
“We’re going to Italy?!”
You can see the excitement on his face, he’s always wanted to go, but was absorbed by his work.
He takes photos of literally everything. He even does the silly leaning tower of Pisa poses that every other tourist does.
He loves art, and anything around it. That meaning, you go to as many museums there as possible. Not to mention that he urges to find an area dedicated to da Vinci.
He loves the work of da Vinci, it’s crazy. He would tell you everything behind his note books and artwork. He’s basically a walking biography of da Vinci.
You normally have to check if he’s not over exerting himself because of his negelence drink water.
You end up having to pin him to the bed, straddling his stomach and chest in order to make him drink water. It’s only after work when you realize how compromising the position you’re in.
(Otto definitely takes advantage of that^)
He’s an excited tourist, and you love it so much. Honestly he might extend the stay and drag you all over Italy. Be prepared for your legs to hurt.
When you get back, he prints a bunch of photos and makes an album.
He then talks about vacations for the future. He’s thinking about going to France.
Doc Ock
Considering that he’s a wanted criminal, he can’t travel that much. You have no idea what to do.
A walk in Central Park is more a date, and you’ve both done it hundreds of times. Not to mention, having your Otto from the actuators are sparse.
There was only once where you had an entire day with Otto to yourself.
The actuators got shocked, rendering them docile for an undetermined amount of time.
You took that to your advantage and drove him upstate to a small touristy town. You ended up camping, because you know too well that no hotel in New York would house a super villain. (A very hot one, but you digress)
You take him to a secluded beach, and buy him supplies. (And clean him cause he’s like a swamp rat with a wrench)
He stays away from the water, the actuators collecting the nearby seashells.
You done end up going in the water either, you just read under the umbrella with a book in hand.
Otto starts to make smug comments about your surroundings, and is a tad flirty as well. The influence of the arms turned him into a different person.
He was always confident, but he submitted to those in power to him. His pride is his work is to be expected, but it soared. Now you’re with a very sassy Otto. Honestly, you don’t mind the change…. You seeing him shirtless all the time is a plus.
However, it seems that thing never change. He didn’t put on sunscreen. So now you’re applying aloe on his front and back as he seethes in pain.
His revenge? Throwing you in the water.
Oh, it’s ON
He knew full well he can’t escape your fury, so he waded in the water and had a splash fight with you. Obviously with the reassurance that the arms are unaffected by it… which now freed yourself from holding back.
You can see him drop the act of his supervillain attitude a few times when your smile shines through his darkest of clouds.
Building sandcastles together.
It’s so funny seeing him work with a sunburn. The actuators gets so confused about it.
Reformed Otto
Since he’s staying away from nuclear science and sticking to robotics (with very much reduced hours in the lab) he can’t help but want a change of scenery.
He’s been so busy all his life, and here you were at his side. Patient, maybe twiddling your thumbs when you got antsy.
So something planned by him is long overdue…. Decades overdue.
He can’t travel far, due to the crushing weight of the actuators. He can’t even stand for long before the muscles in his back scream for him to stop.
So.. he sought out an old friend of his. Wanting to make up for all the times he’s scared the life out of you, or worse, threatened it so carelessly.
He knew it would be complicated, the life and science behind a supervillain that was made by their own mistakes always is. Norman’s reformation was a huge example. The road to recovery will be a long one.
He wanted it to be a surprise. So he told you he was going to a conference. In reality, he was getting his actuators removed.
You knew how long those conferences can last, because science isn’t the only thing that they talk about. They often discuss the ways to get out of the public eye and get a semblance of the life they had before.
This time, however, Otto wouldn’t have to worry about straining his back after today…
So when he came home, you were shocked and nearly shed tears at the sight of your Otto without his actuators.
He then mimicked what you did all those years ago by tossing your suitcase in your shared bed.
He helps you pack. It’s been so long that you almost forgot how to.
Now because of his past crimes, traveling is still relatively limited, but at least you’re not sneaking him anywhere.
So probably a theme park or museum, you haven’t done either since.. you can’t remember when.
He’d buy all the novelty items, money isn’t an issue considering his job is just as important in Oscorp (just a different department)
Honestly he looks like a vacation dad, but you both find it funny. He’s got the Hawaiian shirt and Khakis and you love him for it.
He still takes a lot of photos and makes albums when the traveling is over. He loves being able to access all those mementos.
That meaning, he starts to plan for your next adventure with him.
He loves you so much, and he finally gets that chance to spoil you.
