THINK I NEED SOMEONE OLDER
older!dean x fem!reader cw age gap, nsfw below cut (mdni), size kink (+ implied choking kink?), bunker era (think s9-10, so dean is 34-36 ish and reader is early to mid 20s), a little angsty in one or two places
notes my final assignment of first year is due in 12 hours. i wrote this instead. also i don’t usually write smut so if it’s shit dhmu
older!dean was hesitant to do anything with you at first. there’s thirteen years between you, and he’d always said it was too much, that he was too old for you. eventually, after months of teasing and flirting and god knows how many repetitions of “i know what i want, dean,” he’d grabbed your face and kissed you hard.
older!dean treats you like glass that he could break at any second. he’s gentle — gentler than he ever was with any other girl. he kisses your forehead, always has a gentle hand on you, and generally takes care of you. he cooks for you, wraps blankets around you when you fall asleep researching, and acts like the definition of a gentleman (to sam’s utter delight — the new material he’s gained to tease his brother with is endless).
older!dean shares his music with you. you call him old for it, and he makes a suggestive comment about you benefitting from his experience. he makes you a tape of songs he loves and catches you playing it in your room on more than one occasion. the two of you bond massively over music, with him showing you the rock he grew up with and you showing him newer stuff, like paramore. he’ll never admit that he thinks hayley williams is awesome, but you know.
older!dean hates taking you out on hunts. you met through hunting, and you’re a damn good hunter yourself (his words), but that will never stop him worrying. he’s protective, almost overwhelmingly so, on hunts, and you’ve had more than one biting argument about how he needs to let up. he promises he will some day, but you still see his eyes on you constantly. he needs to make sure you’re there, to make sure you’re safe.
older!dean loves to tease you with pet names to see how flustered he can make you. there are some he uses that are nice, and make you feel nice and warm inside, like angel and sweetheart. (darlin’ with his texan twang, always gets you blushing.) he tries to call you baby, but you veto it, stating the age difference as a reason. he tries to tease you, occasionally calling you kid and kiddo until you stop calling him honey and start only referring to him as old man.
older!dean absolutely loses it when you get hurt. you go on a hunt with sam, despite your boyfriend’s protests at getting left behind, and when sam calls as a heads up that you’re injured, he’s an anxious mess until you reach the bunker. you walk through the door bruised and a little bloodied, and he’s all over you. he doesn’t leave you alone, even after you’ve been cleaned up and ordered to rest by sam. he’s constantly touching you, either holding your hand or rubbing comforting circles on your hip. even when you heal he’s hesitant to let you out of his sight again, stating in the middle of a dark night while he holds you close that he can’t lose you.
things with older!dean start out soft and pretty vanilla, as he doesn’t want to push you or hurt you. he’s so caring and gentle with you, making sure you enjoy yourself and holding you close and making sure you finish first.
when older!dean finds out you’re just as freaky as he is, it’s over for you. he’s relentless, testing new things with you almost every night. youre sure you’ve tried every position by now, but dean’s favourite is a tossup between missionary, where he can watch your face as he all but pounds into you, and cowgirl, where he can watch as you tire yourself out on top of him (being able to see your tits bounce is also a bonus).
older!dean loves it when you suck him off but let’s be honest: he’s a huge munch. he’s eaten you out in more places than you can count, including (probably) every surface in the bunker, the backseat and driver’s seat of the impala, countless motel rooms and even a few diner restrooms.
older!dean has trouble letting you take control sometimes. he feels a little strange, given the age gap between you, but when you do get chance? he loves it. being completely under your control, letting you do whatever you want? it’s like a dream come true for him. but, despite how many times you start on top, it always ends with him snapping his hips up into you or flipping you over and finishing what you started.
older!dean loves it when he gets to see just how much bigger he is than you. when he can hold your waist and his hand seems to just dwarf you, or when he has you in his lap and his hands cover your hips completely. he especially loves watching as he takes you, and when his large hand wraps around your throat with just enough pressure for you to feel it.
regardless of how vanilla or how insane the sex is, older!dean never misses a second of aftercare. he’s always right there, with either a warm bath or a damp cloth depending on how tired you are. he’ll massage your thighs after they’re spent from riding him or comb out the tangles he made in your hair, whispering sweet nothings to you and holding you like you’re fragile because, to him, you are. even when he’s let you take the reins, he holds you close as you drift off to sleep, pressing gentle kisses on your face and tracing his hand down your back.

I love your creepypasta au and designs and lore. Do you have anything for Nina the killer, Jane the killer and clockwork?
Sure! Sorry for the late response! had school n' stuff, and I had to reread the old original stories of some of the creepypastas and catch up on any newer additions since this is (technically) my first run in the fandom.
Anyways! Here's my take on the girls! Hope these are alright! This was like- my first time reading Jane and Nina's and my 2nd time since I was 12 reading Clockwork's ekdjske
Nina the Killer
Tumblr media
Growing up with a love for horror, Nina Dagon was a young girl isolated from her fellow peers from a young age, with no one else but her brother and mother to confide in. As she grew, so did her love for the macabre, and that love soon grew into an avid interest in True crime. There, at a young, impressionable age where she's at her most isolated and vulnerable, was when she found the man who would change the course of her life, whether he knew or wanted to, or not.
Out of the Creepypastas I've drawn so far (as of Sept. 2024), she's the youngest adult at 25-ish! (Though this may be subject to change as with the actual ages of other characters ://)
Bilingual! Spanish is her first language, English is her second. She's not the best at it, but she's trying.
Grew up with unrestricted Internet access lmao. This... severely impacted her development and how she acted around people at a young age, and a small part of that influence is still present in her childish demeanor as an adult.
Found out about the death of Mr. And Mrs. Woods, alongside the murder of three other kids in the family's suburbian town following their deaths and the burning of their home, through true crime channels.
That is also how she found out about Jeff and related a little too much to his background (her blorbo from her shows).
Jeff's copycat killer, down to his iconic smile, (though hers is a lot thinner and cleaner than Jeff's). They say that imitation the highest form of flattery.
She gets a chainsaw. I think it looks cool :))
Learned exclusively through true crime. Though she's less graceful or experienced than Jeff, she still managed to keep the police off of her, especially when the first of her bullies had gone missing.
Follows Jeff's murders closely. Wherever he strikes, she strikes soon after.
Jane the Killer
Tumblr media
While the fires of his own grief and rage still burned bright, Jane E. Arkensaw was a woman that came home at the wrong time. Despite the risk of death as she stands before someone who's hands were stained with the blood of many- including her own parents- Jane fought with adrenaline and anger coursing through her veins like a drug.
The rest of the night was a blur. All Jane remembers as she looks up at the golden silhouette of her burning home amidst the dark backdrop of the evening was that disgusting, Glasgow smile and the fact that within the chaos, she had managed to hurt him.
Jane was scarred worse than Jeff was if comparing their burns. This was because amidst the fire, Jane stayed in a vain attempt to save her dying parents.
As she stands outside, injured, confused and alone as the weight of exhaustion slowly settles in, she wonders why exactly Jeffery "Jeff the Killer" Woods dragged her out of that house before she could die in that fire.
Jane's father used to be in the military, so she learned a thing or two from him in terms of holding one's own in a fight.
Stole the mask she now wears from a Halloween sale at some nearby store during October. A lot of the things she wears has also been either stolen or bought at cheap from thrift shops.
She a lesbian :))
Hasn't and will never kill anyone. Her main target is Jeff.
Despite that, due to her inexperience and Jeff's tendency to escape without a trace, she's sometimes caught in the scene of his crimes instead, leading her to be indirectly framed when she had first decided to hunt around for the white-hooded killer. She's gotten better now though.
Has a complex relationship with Jeff. Despite her seething hatred for him and his apparent distaste in turn, the killer had helped her escape the cops on several occassions, even feeding her during her earlier days.
Still, she won't and will never forgive him, and she dare not try to make sense of the mind of a literal serial killer.
She was an avid enjoyer of the occult and the supernatural before the incident. She still is now, though she's often busied with other priorities.
Clockwork
Tumblr media
Having been raised in a broken family and knowing nothing but pain for most of her life, Natalie Ouelette, even at a young age, felt as if both time and space were working against her, puppeteering her life to entertain whatever twisted Gods were watching over humanity. As the years went on, the line between pain and the mundane- even enjoyable- had began to blur, which is reflected in her art during her younger years which she had used to cope. After a series of continuously concerning events, leading to her hospitalisation at a mental institution, Natalie "Clockwork" Oulette escaped, leaving a trail of blood in her wake, including her so called "family".
Practically homeless (like most of my interpretation of the creepypastas are tbh) and had never changed out of the scrubs she had to wear during her stay at the mental institution.
The mutilation and replacement of her eye was a desperate attempt to regain some control of her life, and in the end, she felt like she had
Often confuses physical pain with other sensations.
Doesn't like being touched. Even with injuries where it would prove easier with someone's help, she'd much rather do it herself, leaving some injuries to heal for far longer and scar worse.
Her jacket was one of the few things she brought along with her after she had ransacked her family home.
Usually targets families, especially its older members. She then stays in the family home for a short moment before she moves on.

Because Spotify doesn't really know that much about my listening habits and because I enjoyed writing this kind of post last year I'll once more make a post about my ACTUAL musical favourites this year. So here goes! Album time!
Grendels Sÿster: Abstieg in die Traumkammer (2024, heavy/folk metal) -- This was by far my favourite album of the year. It came out this August. First album by the band, and what a debut! The album has an English version too (which you can also find if you click the link), but I vastly prefer the German one. The lyrics are really excellent and they fit so, so well with the character of the German language. Musically I would say they sound like "early Týr with a female punk singer", the lyrics feature retellings and re-imaginings of various mythologies and mythological themes of the world, ranging from Norse to Greek to (on their EP) Hinduism or even Tolkien's Valar. They once called their genre NWONOEM (New Wave of Nerd-Oriented Epic Metal).
Other albums I liked, in no specific order:
Kornalyn: Intemporel III (2024, folk) -- Kornalyn has been at this for a few years. He's a French anarchist and folk musician who records modernized versions of traditional leftist & worker songs. He's versatile, he's talented, he's got spirit and a great voice. Worth checking out whether you're a comrade, a history enthusiast or a folk fan.
Alice Longyu Gao: Let's Hope Heteros Fail, Learn and Retire (2023, hyperpop) -- Okay, I'm versatile too. Or at least not so set in my ways that I can't appreciate different genres than I normally listen to. Alice's hyperpop songs have a chaotic artistic spirit that I find charming. In a way, some of her songs are pretty metal-ish too - they remind me a little of old SOAD songs. She's funny, she's innovative, she's a delight.
Stonefield: The Light of Lies (1990, prog rock) -- Some awesome prog rock from the 90s. The singer sounds like DIO. If you like the hammond organ, CLIK TEH LINK! If not, click it anyway, you may start to! When I tried to find out which year the album was from, I found their EP The Eyes of the Dawn (1989), which is also so fun.
Alvader: Hereniging (2024, folk metal) -- Hey you! Do you like Heidevolk? If you found this post through the folk metal tag I bet you do. In this case definitely listen to this band. It's made up of ex-members of Heidevolk and sounds a lot like the "original".
HammerFall: Avenge the Fallen (2024, power/heavy metal) -- What can I say about this one. It's HammerFall. It rules by default. It sounds like all their other albums. HammerFall are one of the few bands where that's a compliment.
molllust: In Deep Waters (2015, symphonic metal) -- There is no music I like better than symphonic metal that takes the "symphonic" part really, really seriously. molllust are one of the few bands that do. Between Janika Groß's gorgeous orchestrations and her operatic voice, this is one of the bands that give me hope for the genre. At first I actually found their older stuff too inaccessible, but after I listened to the newer and more straight-forward Mother Universe album a lot last year, In Deep Waters became a lot more approachable to me.
Wintersun: TIME II (2024, Extremely Delayed Technically Complete Symphonic Death Wish Metal) -- I still can't believe my eyes, or ears. Am I dreaming? Is this the real life? It's really out! And Nuclear Blast didn't even give it a digibook edition (I have the one of TIME I and thought I might have a matched set one day). Is this because their corporate overlords don't care about physical media or are they just so DONE with the album, and Jari in general, that they didn't make more of an effort out of spite?
Norrsinnt: Djupt inni skoga (2024, folk metal) -- Somewhere between heavy folk and very folky metal. A collection of songs the artist released individually over the past years, but the album only came out a short while ago. He fortunately seems to have decided against using an AI image as cover art in the end, so I don't feel bad listing this album here. Oh, there are albums that I found this year and liked musically which I'm not listing for this reason, definitely! I'm glad this one isn't among them, because I've known all these songs for years and I'm quite fond of them, and of the power and originality of the vision behind this project.
Nightwish: Yesterwynde (2024, symphonic metal) -- I didn't expect too much from this album, but ended up really liking it! My favourite parts are, of course, the orchestral passages. I like how Nightwish are still capable of evolution, new paths, instead of being stuck in the 2000s. And, after all, what could be a more fitting topic for music that's as larger than life as symphonic metal than just the totality of existence, the universe, the human equation, the meaning of it all?
Romuvos: Spirits (2024, folk) -- Pagan Folk, immersive, meditative, dark. I don't have much to say about this, other than that I have listened to it a lot this year.
KAMIJO: ??? (????, symphonic power metal) -- I usually only have albums on this list because I'm old-fashioned like that, but that's really unfair to Kamijo, who's my top artist of the year on Spotify and whose greatest songs are spread out across a multitude of single bonus tracks and short EPs. So I will link his song TEMPLE and say doumo arigato gozaimasu, vampire prince rockstar-san, nay, -sama!
---
I also continued my exploration of the world of opera. Since I think I'm beginning to know my taste, there were a lot of works I started and didn't finish, but some I liked very much. My favourite was L'elisir d'amore (1832), which I watched in two different versions and listened to all summer. It's a rather light-hearted one, but the music is nevertheless dramatic, it's fast, it's powerful and... somehow rich. And it's just pretty, I'm not immune to the charms of the easily lovable Italian opera, or of Rolando Villazon and his musical and comedic talent. I'd definitely recommend this recording even to people who have never watched an opera before.
I also really liked Eugene Onegin (1879, can't find the recording now) - much more tragic than the one above, few operas I've watched had a better plot, I read the novel it's based on afterwards - as well as a whimsical 1979 recording of L'incoronazione di Poppea (1643) and a gorgeous staging of Atys (1676, only French subs here, sry). Baroque opera is superior to the later stuff according to me. The beautiful music, the melancholic observations on life in the libretto, the way the operas always seem to reach for the divine, beyond the limits of mundane human existence - it strives for perfection, and my ears think it comes close.
And that's my musical breakdown of the year :)

EDIT: old post, a newer fold can be found here:
Latest origami Kakyoin is here!
One square of 50-ish cm hanji from a paper roll, dyed green. I’m fairly happy with this one for now, even when I still see some areas for improvement.
Upgrades:
-clothes that wrap around in the back in a not so cursed way. Got the inspiration for how to do this while looking at a crease pattern of someone’s origami design for Isaac Newton. Yay for 3d details (and level shifters)!
-more dimension in torso
-little flaps for ears (maybe not most noticeable here, but they do exist!)
Process stuff below:

If you had to change all the the Thea Sisters' hairstyles such that they will appear in the ones you chose for the rest of the series, what styles would you change them to? (No this is totally not me trying to see more art from you even though I love it what are you talking about haha-)
I mean if you really wanted me to draw you could've just given me a request FHSFSFOSHPFS /lh /j
This is a very difficult challenge in more ways than one-- I mainly identify the girls through their hair, I'm not that good at fashion and hair design (doesn't help their current styles fit so well already character-wise -m-), and I do like their hairstyles as they are hahaha-- but just because it's hard for me doesn't mean I won't give it the old college try >:3
OKAY SO let's go through this in uhhhhh order of which I made them, why not :3
So with Nicky and most of the other girls, I went with two options, and with Nicky I went with these two: a pixie cut so that pesky hair is just too short to be a problem, or literally my hairstyle on the regular at home. Seriously, I took a picture of myself in the mirror to get a ref, and I have my hair done up like this right now haha. It's very practical, which is very Nicky! Nicky's whole fashion sense is defined by the notion of "if I can't have a morning run with this style then what's the point", so Colette would probably rip her a new one for keeping her hair up like that all the time of all ways she could have it up. Which Nicky would probably find a win in her book :3
Tumblr media
Violet is pretty, she is grace, and she likes to slay in a subtle way <3 honestly I just looked at typical hairstyles in modern Chinese culture (ya'll don't understand it's a very particular aesthetic flavor), and I found some I felt were elegant, refined, and understated enough for Violet to consider. The one to the left is just a stereotypical hairstyle for a Chinese woman in her prime, very luscious locks, very well-groomed, my mom had something like it for a while and she slayed <3
The second one is a bit newer-- it's based on the iconic C-drama half-up-half-down topknot, and probably would be heaven for people with thick hair who don't wanna put it totally up. I dunno, I think it's a neat idea, but I just love her canon fringe cut too much </3
Tumblr media
Paulina's was tricky to research, because not only did I like her simple braid, but also because Peruvian women just love their braids! If anything they loved them so much that Paulina's looked so bare bones in comparison-- colored threads, ribbons, little bobbles at the end-- so much color and decorations! I didn't go overboard with it since Paulina would still prioritize comfort and her shy ass not wanting too much attention (/aff), but y'know sometimes loving yourself is adding some colorful ribbons and cute knotted threads into your braids <:]
(Important thing to note here, these braids are more suited to being draped behind the back rather than on the shoulders-- it was tricky conveying that in a short amount of time haha)
Tumblr media
Colette follows fashion, and apparently Parisian fashion says beautifully messy hair is the way to go (which explains why her early design went so ham with the waves and curls on her hair haha). She'd also follow the main trends so I wasn't exactly sure what to do. If anything I'd lean more to the one to the right because it's more prominent and hey, the fringe-ish cut is now open seeing I changed Violet's hairstyle to have hair parted to the side :3c
Fashionable, versatile, and
Tumblr media
As for Pam, uhhhh
I didn't wanna shoot myself in the foot by drawing curls at 1AM, and I had to take into account the fact that she wouldn't really want afro-ish styles because I dunno how that'd be practical when she's consistently doing stuff like baking and mechanic work, sooooo I went with the (rather popular) idea of giving her cornrows or dreads! Dreads in this case because again, lazy and I am staying up a whole hour longer than I was intending (I have school in the morning), it is a popular headcanon for a reason! Pam just looks really good with this kind of style!
Tumblr media
Hopefully that satisfies your question, and don't worry about seeing more art from me, that's gonna come very soon with the trickle of requests coming in :3 /lh

Axilarycobra Introduction
Hello! Making a new pinned post with more stuff.
INTRODUCTION: I'm Axilarycobra, but you can call be Axi. I am 19 years old.
I'm nonbinary and use they/them and he/him pronouns with no preference. I also identify as queer in general and aro-spec.
THIS BLOG: This blog is mainly dedicated to Wings of Fire! I'm newer to Tumblr and I'm not usually the kind of person to be super active in fandom spaces, so I post quite a bit but I may not be the best at interacting with others. I rarely use my home page and just use tags to find things.
There are a few things that I post frequently and I recently started using tags that should help them be easier to find on my blog. If these haven't been added to all of my posts, I will go through and add them eventually:
⭐#my headcanons / Wings of Fire headcanons- since most of my headcanons are for Wings of Fire, both of these should bring up the same thing, although I've used Wings of Fire headcanons more
⭐#Axilarycobra art - if I continue to post art here, I will use this tag for it
⭐#lgbtq heacanons - although all of these would fall under Wings of Fire headcanons, I do make lgbtq headcanons for other series so if I ever started to post about those, this would bring all those up
⭐#Axi WoF Designs - my Wings of Fire character designs made on the official Joy Ang tribe art.
MAIN INTERESTS: ⭐Wings of Fire (hyperfixation / main focus of this blog)
⭐My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
⭐Epic Mickey (my first and longest hyperfixation, lasting ~ 12-ish years)
⭐Squid Game (newest hyperfixation, hitting me really hard 😔)
⭐Miraculous Ladybug: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir
⭐Fortnite
⭐Subnautica
⭐Five Nights at Freddy's (hyperfixation)
CHARACTERS I LOVE: ⭐Oswald the lucky rabbit (Epic Mickey / my all time favorite character from any media)
⭐Fatespeaker (Wings of Fire)
⭐Peril (Wings of Fire)
⭐Prescott (Epic Mickey 2)
⭐Ortensia the cat (Epic Mickey)
⭐Withered Bonnie (FNaF 2)
⭐Lolbit (FNaF:SL / also very important character to me)
⭐Randall Boggs (Monsters Inc.)
FUN FACTS: ⭐My favorite color is gold
⭐My favorite weather are rainstorms and lightning storms
⭐I'm left handed
⭐I'm a really picky eater

Ok, so I only started playing the game like a month or so ago (?) and only started looking at fan content recently. Thoughts from a new-ish player ig:
I was introduced to the game through yandere tumblr (I'm a bit of a lurker there too lol) and I was like, this game sounds deranged, I'm in.
I'm the type of person who doesn't mind mild spoilers, so I'll look at wikis/guides to help me find my footing. The tutorial didn't cover much, and I was very confused for like a week in game time, so naturally, I looked at the wiki.
I read through the LIs pages to get a feel for them and see who I wanted to focus on and was a little put off by how much more detailed Sydney's page was. Their mechanics were more fleshed out, and they had more story/plot. I was even more confused when I found out that they're a newer character meanwhile LI characters like Whitney and Eden have been in the game much longer and are as developed as the rest of the LIs sans Sydney. I don't hate them by any means, but I think they've been given too much focus, and it's evident to a newer player like me.
I want to know more about the other LI's connection to the world and to other characters. Imagine my shock when I found out Bailey and Eden had a deeper connection than I thought? And it's barely in the game aside from a throwaway line from Eden about an "old friend." I didn't even suspect that was about Bailey until I started looking at fandom stuff. Hello, I need to know more about the person in the woods that hunts the PC/the PC was sold to, and why the hell do they want some random orphan??
Also one thing that interested me was that one Whitney even of them being chased by a person in the alley, like I know they're a delinquent and even have a criminal record but they seem to have a deeper connection to the criminal underworld intentionally or not. This is also implied with them attempting to sell the PC off. An interaction with Landry would be hilarious tbh.
I list those two since they're some of the oldest NPCs who are now LIs but there's so much to explore with other LIs and named NPCs that feel sidelined in favor of the temple and those associated with it. Some LIs are given holiday events while others aren't, but to me, that's pretty mild compared to whatever the fuck is going on with the temple and Sydney.
All this to say, I think too much overarching plot in a porn game is odd. I kind of like the idea of multiple time lines . If you don't do temple stuff, then that's not "canon" in your save. Kind of like how in dating sims your "canon" changes with the character you choose to romance. I know that, with how the game is, that could be confusing, but it would have more room for self-interpretation if there wasn't one overarching plot.
Sorry for the super long rant lmao I feel like the game needs monthly anonymous feedback forms or something bc clearly people don't feel safe to even give constructive criticism.
yeah like. there is nowhere to give constructive criticism for the game AT ALL so i guess my dying tumblr blog will be a safe haven for that :D

O yeah, a little late but my book report from august. No big post because it's 2:30ish am (edit, 3 am as of posting) and I'm a little sleepy Read books: Worlds Without Number, ICON, and a light skim again of Rolemaster Standard System.
So first up, Worlds Without Number (WWN) was pretty neat! I put it on that list expecting something sorta gritty and I got what I wanted I suppose. I read it in the first week-ish of the month and I'm sad to say not much of the actual mechanics stuck with me, but what DID was a very fancy setting of ... I want to say 'post apocolyptic fantasy'? It ended up making me go on a play through of Oblivion and Morrowind later but that kinda killed the mood. The art was really astounding too, lots of landscape shots and I was constantly hooked. Great color balance too for the pages, which is a weird thing to bring up but I've read lots of books with poorly planned page splats. White backgrounds and really saturated art, or those "paper color" pages with a tan color that clash with the actual art. WWN was good, I don't remember anything 'bad' from it actually, but evidently it wasn't striking enough to stay in my head beyond being a class-based point buy system.
ICON was great too! I read it on recommendation as I hadn't looked at it since an old playtest of it. Now, being more or less done, it looked great! It definitely hits the same niche as LANCER and when I was looking up content for it I wanted to check out CAIN next too. Probably won't get to due to classes but oh well. Tom's art was, as usual, spectacular. Go read Kill Six Billion Demons if you want to see more of their stuff in comic form. But on the actual system, in LANCER my favorite part (and everyone else's, probably) was the mechs. Obviously, if you're not in the mech, you don't have access to your cool mech stuff. The solution? Give characters cool abilities! Fleshmech! It plays similar, whatwith a focus on tactical grid combat. They had to be a little more defining though (in my opinion) since they're deeper linked to your character's identity instead of being the vehicle (I know mechs are representative of the character's qualities but shhh). Like if a license wasn't suiting you in LANCER you switch out, but you can't really do that with your ICON...? wrong! You can eventually level up to unlock access to more jobs and switch between them on adventures. You'll get access to some of the features of your other jobs while having a main one, so it's not unlike mismatching mechs and their weapons. It's been a while since I read this, somewhere around the 20th, but I can remember keenly that my favorite class was some sort of hedgemage sort, where they came naturally into their power and it's extremely volatile. Great system, great art, great ideas. Would run this some time Not much to talk about in regards to RM:SS, as like I said I ended up skimming it. I'm more of a fan of RM:C and as a result the information felt... like 'different' but not different enough for me to like it individually from classic. It's not bad! Just, I like RM:C more because of the organization. Classic is a 'newer' version of Standard System, and really the main difference is how the books are laid out. There's some math differences too, but the reality is there's no HUGE changes as far as I could tell. We don't have fighter missing and replaced with "the Whacker", who has the ability to always critically hit on unarmed attacks to 'whack' the enemy to death. Good books! I probably wouldn't recommend WWN to read just because obviously I can't give a good impression besides the art, but ICON has left a great mark on me. It's a good chaser after I read BEACON the month before too. Rolemaster: Classic is a great read too, maybe read Standard and see if you have more of an opinion than me.

24 hours with Zayn in Lahore, what would you do?
24 hours with Louis in Istanbul, what would you do?
first of all, fucking obsessed with the cities you’ve given me!!! second of all what have you done?!? i’m incapable of being normal about stuff like this
there’s no need to subject everyone to this level of insanity though so it’s going under the cut
24 hours in Lahore with bestie; i’m taking him to old Lahore for a big ass desi naashta at that one place that serves you street food from all the androon areas, then we’re spending the next few hours doing a photo walk of the old city including both waziristan and badshahi mosques where i’m making his pretty face pose for me in front of all the gorgeous islamic architecture while i take photos of him (art in front of art)! we might even check out some of the local artists’ shows/installations that pop up there from time to time … then in the evening we’re heading to spice bazar (not specific at all 💀) for proper desi bbq which will probably be spicy to him cuz he’s white-washed (affectionate-ish) like that 😭 after which we’re getting lots of rounds of chai at some dhaaba that also does live music where i’m forcing him to sing an entire song or more in urdu - give👏🏽the👏🏽people👏🏽what👏🏽they👏🏽want👏🏽 and then late night we’re chilling at one the many newer parks where we’ll be lighting up many & blazing the night away
24 hours in Istanbul with lover; my answer might not be as creative (read unhinged) as it would have been if we weren’t going through a lover’s spat right now but here we go… we’re staring with breakfast in bed (of as many varieties as your gutter brain can imagine) … then we’re taking the cable cars up to Pierre Loti (because I doubt he’s much of a hiking enthusiast 💀 and i don’t blame him cuz same) to check out the gorgeous views of the entire city and have some turkish tea and snacks at one of the cozy little cafes up there! then in the afternoon we’re heading to Gülhane Park to stroll around for a bit and lie down on the grass and take a nap (speaking from experience; literally one of the most peaceful experiences in the world — seagulls calling in the distance, the sound of distant ship horns from time to time and the melodious chirping of the birds in the trees up above, heaven! i mean it’s literally you should be starin’ at the sky, the birds just passing by, love)… after that we’re heading to Mahmut Pasha bazar for some epic meat heavy Turkish food that we will be washing down with sheesha at one of the many many bars there (and since he’ll have some drinks in him by this point, this is the part of the day where i’m trying to talk some sense into him about the incompetence of his professional team and the way they mishandle so many aspects of his career 💀 and how he deserves better because he’s worth so much more)! then late night we’re heading to one of those places that has both male and female bellydance performers 💙💜💖 and looking 👀 … after which we’re heading back to bed to smoke some weed outside in the and then some 🙃

Hello Hello! Today I’d like to talk about my experience in going to digital art as my primary workflow over the past 5 or 6 years and what I’ve kinda wanted to do for my art in the past and now in the future. Overall I wanted to share my thoughts on the two primary programs I use, how I critique myself and what I’ve learned about art on a personal level.
To preface, as this is a newer format, you expect a level of self-reflection in this that may seem odd! This is both a report to my own brain cave (in lore it's Ithod my "home planet") and a personal exploration of aspects of my life that have taken my interest. This is one of my big steps into finding what I enjoy creating as a VTuber. So please look forward to it as the future has more of this type of blogging but on a variety of topics I find interest in in addition to my Art posts!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright let’s start from the…beginning? One of the first times I got a genuine chance to use digital art was in 2013 on a Acer laptop and a tablet I can’t remember the brand of. I didn’t learn too much, I kind of just went for it. It’s hard to explain that I was not really looking at digital art as something I needed to relearn compared to traditional art, not to mention that I was still not improving my art in a….genuine way? I think I was just trying things out to explore how it works. The main problem was that I just didn’t know what I wanted to be using it for at the time. Like yes I wanted to draw but what did I want to be using digital art for that I could use traditional art to do? Overall I didn’t do a whole lot with that tablet other than play around with it but that was a good entry nonetheless.
Tumblr media
Sometime after that in 2016/2018-ish I began to draw on my phone and I got a Windows Surface Pro. These were the two steps that really gave me perspective on some of the stuff I can do in digital Art compared to traditional, especially since I had also by that point learned way more about concepts in art and planning my work. This is really where I leaned into taking stuff I learned concept wise and played around with the ability of digital programs like layers, clipping, and being able too revert to old phases of the process without having to totally restart. I played around a lot with making sure I was atleast TRYING to get fullbody work in my compositions as I noticeably struggled with getting body gestures down. Everything felt stiff and I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of that while getting line art in. A lot of that went on to mean that I just did a lot of sketching, studies and generally drew things I felt I had a vague idea for. I typically didn’t go beyond the testing/planning either there because that wasn’t what I was really aiming to do. If I wasn’t thinking of an image beyond it’s initial idea then I had no need to try things beyond that. This wasn’t like a bad time for my art though. In the one year of drawing on a Surface Pro I went from basic fanart doodles to a fairly well developed digital style. I hadn’t even really looked back at the progress of that first year of drawing on the surface pro till now. In the year before I had been drawing fairy consistently on my phone but it was doing basic little portraits and stuff like that. If I had to say I learned one specific thing in the time I used the surface pro (which was for about 3 years) it’s likely that the screen/tablet type you use has a greater effect on how you draw that you may realize.
The ability to draw in my phone was great for at work during lunches or for jotting down sketch ideas which I could use/develop later if I wanted to. I very much loved this convivence because I didn’t want to risk taking my Surface Pro to work or something like that and then it breaking or getting stolen. So the phone usage was very nice especially in our modern era where a good mini-stylus or just the right free app is enough. Specifically I worked in Pixiv Sketch, and still do when I draw on my phone. It’s got a great basic variety of brushes and then a layer function with a decent amount of layer limits.
The Surface Pro’s ability to make the process feel smooth and clean even at various pen pressures was really interesting to realize after switching to an XP-Pen Tablet. It was also really nice to have something to just pull up a full drawing program but also be able to lay in my bed lmao. It may not have done much for my quality but it made me feel like drawing wasn’t something that I had to be up and ready to do if I just wanted to doodle. It also ran really well with decent memory space. This bring me to Paint Tool Sai, the program that I’ve been using for most of my digital art.
Tumblr media
I bought Paint Tool Sai back on my Acer laptop. It was $75 at the time which was a lot for me but now looking back…I’ve had like a lifetime art program that can be used at a professional level. I remember recently watching one of the BTS of Genshin Impact and seeing Paint Tool Sai open in on one of their PCs was really refreshing lmao. It was the same hat meme. It was great. But also the fact that it’s made by one guy in Japan, who has been developing the 2.0 for the past few years is crazy because it’s honestly such a great program. I got the 2.0 upgrade for free as well which was even nicer in regards to the fact I only paid for it once also 10 years ago.
Because of it’s program nature with various brush folders and texture folders, it’d similar to Clip Studio in it’s customization for brush textures and settings. You can create your own textures, brushes and such and import them into the program. I find it’s overall feeling when drawing is really smooth even in a lot it’s brush settings. It’s got great reaction time and feels a lot like traditional art for that reason. Even with a really high Stabilization it’s reaction and accuracy to the line is really nice. The digital coloring on the other hand doesn’t really feel as good. I like to use the marker tool because I personally enjoy the look of washed colors so it isn’t too bad for me but when I need flat colors or blended rendering I tend to personally struggle with getting it done at a decent speed. But all the conveniences of the placement for in-program functions like new-layer, merge layer, copy/paste and blank layer are in the same place which I prefer over Clip Studio’s spread out options. It’s possible I can move them around more but the built in thought of the placement for a lot of things in Paint Tool Sai is a nice start for someone looking to just get started within digital art and needs a program with just enough stuff beyond the essentials to let you do really good quality work.
Tumblr media
Now I’ve upgraded to a full PC, which I got in 2020. I use an Omen as I expected that if I wanted to use other art programs or draw on even bigger canvases that I should need a more robust system than what I used on the Surface Pro, but I didn’t need anything too crazy that would require a custom system. I also took this as a time to get a slightly larger tablet. Currently I use a XP-Pen tablet which is noticeably different to use than a surface pro. Since a surface Pro is also a laptop/tablet it had a smoother screen, untextured and such, where as the XP-Pen has a slight Matte to it. The XP-Pen also has a layered screen, where theres a slight slight space between where your pen is and the actual place it’s drawing at.
Tumblr media
My use of Sai has gone down in the last month however as I finally began using Clip Studio. I admit that theres still something about the feel of the program I don’t like in comparison to Sai but it’s a better overall experience for making higher quality, more complete work at this time. Partially because I still haven’t figured out my art process. Clip Studio has made the convenience of coloring much more accessible to me on a variety of levels. It let’s me feel like I’m not overly perfectionist on my sketch process or lineart in comparison to just laying down a few colors because I don’t have confidence with them. Now even without confidence in my color choices or usage I at least feel like I’ve been able to fake it. In sai it was very dependent on you knowing what colors you wanted to use and what tool you’d use to lay them down. So far it doesn’t feel that way in Clip Studio. I can choose a basic brush and paint bucket and get color laid down in about 20 minutes if I wanted or take more time with a slightly varied brush and get that washed style I like while also being able to properly fill the spaces of the work.
Overall in my art process itself it’s been a lot faster as well than in Sai, perhaps because I’m still taking it slower with the express reason of really learning to use it for efficiency. My progression through the years has sort of allowed me to take that previous knowledge I’d gained and use it in what I do next which is generally what one does when making a change to their professional processes. A lot of doing things new successfully depends on how much you can make it work with what you already know.
Tumblr media
Finally let’s talk about my art process itself, what my sort of mentality is behind it. A lot of what I do is based on “Oh I really want to see something like this!” or “That would be a fun/cool image” if I’m drawing for myself. I start with a thumbnail sketch, enlarge that and then do another more detailed sketch on top of that. Typically I haven’t done lineart in the past because it adds a lot of time to the process and I never feel like it looks good compared to sketch. Now that I have clip studio though and the coloring process can go a lot faster with better lineart, I’ve been trying to do a bit cleaner sketches or full lineart. Coloring usually is flat colors first, washed shading next and then multiple layer styles on top of that of highlights and shading. I usually do washed shading as a sort of “sketch” for the shades. Usually a rough colored drawing takes about 2 hours? Sometimes a bit more depending on how much I clean up the lines, sometimes less if I just slap on the colors and lines.
The things that I feel I need to work on the most are usually in regards to colors and composition. I tend to focus up my character compositions to fill the whole page either by intentionally drawing them large or by enlarging the sketches to fill the page size. But if it’s a composition that isn’t character focused or has some more environmental aspects then I tend to struggle. My color choices also are hard to do because I don’t usually consider them in my sketching phase. Since I usually go into pieces with an idea of what person, character or outfits I’m drawing then colors tend not to be something I think too much about. This is something I notice a lot in environmental drawings though because the colors get so clashed when actual lighting and such needs to be planned out against a certain layout. Which sucks because I absolutely LOVE vibrant coloring and such but I don’t know how to make that work with environment stuff yet.
A lot of what I want to draw, in both style and “substance”, is character driven. I like action that shows a lot of atmosphere or feels very in character. When a still image can feel like it captures the feeling of a moment or feels like it was made with a real idea in mind that means a lot to me, so that’s what I try to go in with when I’m drawing. For characters and such that can be a variety of things from just lounging around or hanging out to getting dressed-up or a variety of actions. It’s really fun to see so much more in the things that I like and to be able to share those things through art is wonderful.
Tumblr media
To send you off I want to say that…I like being an artist. It’s so nice to know and learn a skill like art since it can be a sort of perspective into a person’s views. People’s ability to connect over concepts and such is so cool and I feel like even today when we have fine art, fanart and everything in-between that it really sets up the fun of creativity and community. Right now there’s an ongoing official art series of Miku and Pokemon drawn by various artists. Some people have begun taking that concept and drawing it themselves, putting their own spins on it in their version of the pokemon style and outfits. It’s so cool that looking through it all I can barely tell which ones are official and which are fan made. Like it’s a clear cut conversation where everyone can give it a shot with their own ideas and can still be talking about the same thing. I think that’s lovely.
For my art in the future, I want to be able to design and draw a buncha stuff. I really like stationary and want to make some stuff in the future for it. These report logs are one place I’ll be playing around with that to test it a bit so I’m excited to continue these. I also want to better my Background drawing because I really love the idea of being able to put characters in a location, somewhere I can imagine them being. I’ve gotten better at character interactions but I want to think about how much further that can go if I add an environment. For the future of my style…I don’t know! I like to have a very dreamy or washed style but also bold colors and expressive lines. But I’ll definitely be thinking about it even more in the future as I start developing a finished my process (getting fully rendered colors, lineart, etc.).

Re: fall out boy question
YES! I feel mostly the same way tbh! The main way I rank my favourite to least favourite is which songs end up most in the top 10 but then I also put a lot of weight on the sentimental value of it, part of the reason why I quite often rank new fall out over their older stuff is not because it’s better music but because I have so many memories associated with the newer albums as I listened to them (save rock and roll, American Beauty American psycho and Mania) religiously throughout highschool and they got me through a hell of a lot of teenage angst. But it’s amazing how well it actually stands up to scrutiny versus like Twenty One Pilots who I also listened to during my angst phase and although Vessel is a good album it doesn’t even hold a candle to something like Save Rock and Roll.
It’s only recently that I’ve actually started to listen and enjoy a lot of the older stuff because my music taste has shifted slightly (not majorly) but I definitely slept on Take This to Your Grave and even to some extent Infinity on High and Folie (heinous I know) and they’re just chefs kiss.
All the albums have their own merits and my rankings are so fucking messy cuz they’re more based on my feelings than the music itself. Basically my ranking if it was based on sentimental value would be totally different to ranking based on which has the “best” music (even though I stand by the fact they’ve never released a bad song let alone a bad album *cough* panic at the disco with Viva Las Vengeance *cough*)
related to this
Oh, nice! I can see that. And, yeah, I feel you--Fall Out Boy has a lot of sentimental meaning to me, too. I dealt with a shit ton of mental health problems growing up (ans I still deal with them), and their music definitely helped me through all that as well as through the regular, non-disordered teenage angst, lmao. Though, I will forever have a soft spot for SRAR because that was my introductory album to FOB. I was too young to have heard their pre-haitus stuff as it came out. I've since gone back and fallen in love with all the older stuff and a fuck ton of their solo projects, but, yeah, the stuff I was there for on the ground floor has some extra memories.
Also, my own high school memory of them is that I decided I didn't give a fuck about if other people found it cringy or not, I just had to do it... I had a FOB lyric as my senior quote, "you are what you love, not who loves you," from SRAR.
I also listened to a lot of TØP and P!ATD, but I never got fully into them the way I did with FOB (and, to some extent, MCR).
I'm glad you've gone back and listened! I love, love, love the old stuff. I personally have a music taste that's ALL OVER THE PLACE, and I feel like FOB gets most of the credit for it. They introduced from a whole new world away from radio pop, country hits, or classic rock. It's not just that their albums sound different, but because I got so into FOB and they all talk about their different musical backgrounds over the years, I began to consume all these different genres. Treating it like music recommendations. And I especially started listening to hardcore since that's where their roots lie. I fell in love. Hardcore, rock, metal, punk, etc. All the little sub genres of each, too. Nu metal, black metal, heavy metal, metalcore, etc., etc. I love it.
That's fair, though, rankings are often messy and all over the place anyway. Everyone has their own ears and opinions.
(I bought Viva Las Vengeance on CD before I listened and... I was pretty disappointed. I think it's good pop, and I don't mind pop music. Not at all! It's just not what I was expecting from Panic! Even as a follow-up to Pray For The Wicked, which was pretty pop-ish, too. Although, I must admit that the theory that the song "Local God" is a letter to Ryan Ross makes me actually love that song, lol.)
Thanks for giving me an excuse to rant about music, lmao.

My doll line concept:
Periodic Pals: A line of dolls where each one is based on an element from the periodic table. Meant to give an overview of examples of the elements, what they do, and how they work
Characters include:
Murray Mercury: she's based on, well, Mercury. Silver hair, red pants and a striped shirt to resemble an old thermometer. Maybe a hat inspired by Freddie Mercury just cuz
Sully Sulfur: Yellow hair, a tulle skirt with dark grey, red, and yellow to resemble an explosion, maybe a bomb shaped handbag and a beret to look like a fried egg, again, cuz why not
Helene Helium: Thick blue locs to resemble long balloons, a dress with a cage skirt also made of balloons. Lots of balloons
Cora Chlorine: Bleached hair, acid wash jeans, poolside vibes, beach ball purse
Nicole Nickel: A chainmail ish shirt made of nickels, red swirlies to look like electric stove coils, red curly hair
Carey Carbon: Soda imagery, like a brown shirt that looks like bubbles and coke bottle inspired stuff and lots and lots of diamonds
Each doll would come with a little book, like the diaries from Monster High talking about the doll's element and common applications/examples of the elements and/or the history of it's discovery of it's a newer one.
Partially an attempt at a different application of MC²'s concept but more fashion focused like MH. Could have a series but it's not really what I'm envisioning.
Also, an opportunity for multipack by using simple chemical formulas like a salt-themed pack with Sodium and Chlorine and a Sugar themed pack with Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen.
At some point I'm gonna draw some concepts and maybe have my brother 3D print me a base to use for a concept. I've seen how to pitch to Mattel so if I actually take this seriously that's an option

Happy WBW! What are the coffee shops like in your world? Or what are the coffee shop equivalents? Are they bustling? Overpriced? Are they decrept or college-kid only territory? If you wanna get into it, feel free to add on your characters' interactions, feelings, or orders!
Hello after...far, far too long. I dropped off of the world for a while because...stuff. But I'm trying to make my way back, and I'm happy to find a backlog of these waiting. I promise I'll catch up--but probably slowly, partially so I don't overwhelm you.
I decided early in the worldbuilding for the fantasy WIP that this is a widely explored world with a vibrate trade established between countless places. So there are certain foods that have made their way around the world (everyone loves potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, tea, cacao...and coffee).
So of course coffee shops and tea houses and cocoa joints are more or less common depending on where you go and vary also by location. Like a lot of the story happens in Mirenghot, a huge tent city that springs up every year, is briefly the biggest, busiest trading hub on the Alinay Steppe, and then disappears again. There aren't really coffee shops or anything you'd consider like them there, but there are merchants with precious wares to sell who have space in their tents to try out what they have to offer. Fires have to be carefully tended on the steppe, so there are community fires where you can meet people and find almost anything on offer.
At some point we'll get to Tsalta, a vertical city built into a cliffside that is a thriving port city that prides itself on its diversity. You can find beautiful Rinjean tea houses with elaborate preparation ceremonies, and Gabramoian coffee houses that are less formal and a place to gather together, and chocolate shops that offer bitter, spicy hot chocolate, and less formal places of any of them that have developed over time and offer goods that are sometimes almost unrecognizable from their original versions.
Zaya would be drawn to the Gabramoian coffee houses, mostly from memories from the time she escorted Miyarki to the academy in Gabramoia and ended up lingering to study for a while herself. She'd feel a bit old and out of place at the less formal shops closer to the academy.
Miyarki developed a taste for coffee while at that academy, but since she's been in Tsalta, she's really fallen for a newer, creamier, sweet version of hot chocolate that's a new(ish) thing.
If Aleksani could relax a moment and look around, there are a few tea shops in Tsalta that aren't specifically Djaetyli, but somehow held onto the very different traditions around tea and tisanes from the lost country, and she'd feel very at home and a little better about what will happen to the world.

I joined Tumblr in 2014. I'd browsed 4chan for a few years (no joke). That does a number on the human brain (more so even than Tumblr could ever). Don't mistake, though - this wasn't /pol/, or /b/ even, this was the occult-y, ghost-y, creepypasta side of things.
Beyond just scrolling /x/ (paranormal board), I mostly hung out with channers who'd formed spinoff occult groups, chats, etc. This started around 2009-ish.
Some of the people were really awesome and are still in my life to this day, in major ways, of course. Some others ran demigod-kin Skype cults predicting the apocalypse, but anyways.
By 2014, I was watching some of those occult cliques disintegrate in a rapid, dramatic fashion. Some people were diving headfirst into the alt right because 4chan, whereas others were realizing that mindset would probably kill them, and backing out slowly.
Ended up looking for a new place to be. I already spent some time lurking a few Tumblr blogs (mostly related to food, painting/journaling, and knitting/crochet/yarn).
I remember learning to do the candied glitter grapes thing from Tumblr right after creating my (main) blog. I also made lemonade with lavender and club soda (IIRC), and ultimately a lot of different everyday recipes, too.
Sweets aside, I just wanted a little online place where everyone wasn't accusing each other of incel curses or threatening each other over interpretations of Aleister Crowley or some shit. I was starting to grasp that maybe we all needed to log off, just for a while, and make some candied grapes and fizzy lavender lemonade.
I eventually figured out that Tumblr included some really neat art tutorials, too, if I searched the right tags (back then, at least). I decided to create an account, but didn't plan to post much. I discovered witchblr and the Tarot community on here a few weeks later and created this blog as a sideblog.
It ultimately became (mostly) the only blog I use on here, but I hadn't planned for that. My main blog sits unused. Tumblr's better in some (most) ways than my other online hangouts, but not without its problems over the years (some aspects pretty bad, of course).
I'm still here because I definitely feel like I'm getting old faster than I expected, and learning new platforms is kinda difficult (also a time sink). I might move parts of my site to a Wordpress installation eventually, but until then, I'm trying to keep my blog as organized as possible. I already know Wordpress pretty well, but the move itself would take forever.
Either way, I'm here because it helped me get away from some weird channer cliques before they imploded, and because I like fiddling with the themes/etc. Keeping a website, especially messing with themes, graphics, etc, is soothing, like gardening almost.
I'm thinking of actually trying to learn Javascript, and I'm trying to teach myself the newer CSS/HTML stuff that has changed over the years. I used to be fairly decent with that kind of thing as a kid, but now, it's a (fun) learning experience.
How did you find tumblr?
I really enjoy talking with tumblr users so I thought I'd try posting more prompts to get some conversations started.
I was in a nostalgic mood this week and was trying to remember how I first came to tumblr. It got me thinking that it would be cool to learn other's origin stories. I'll go first.
Even though I'm a big nerd who loves Star Trek (DS9 4 life) and Anime (Fairy Tail forever) it was WordPress that brought me to tumblr. Back in 2010 while in college I worked part time for a WordPress theme shop called Obox Themes. They were looking for new markets and decided that tumblr themes would be a good area to get into. I fell in love with how easy it was to modify my digital home and how there was a whole community of people hacking and releasing themes. Creating a WordPress theme from scratch would have been impossible with my skillset then but with tumblr I could do anything with my handy CSS guide and a few energy drinks.
Over the years what kept bringing me back was the themes. They were funky, weird and sometimes a little broken but who cares. It seemed like the entire web was trying to be grown up but tumblr was Toys R Us, they said it’s ok to be a kid. I loved that. Whenever I felt like I didn’t belong anywhere else I’d come back to tumblr and make a new theme (https://www.tumblr.com/themes/by/nick). I use to love clicking on the installs and seeing what kind of fun folks were using my stuff. What kind of people liked the weird stuff I did. It's your turn. What brought you to tumblr?
