it's more ql than bl, but have you watched/do you think you'll watch the 'love in the big city' series? it's incredibly angst and heavy and you definitely have to be in the right headspace to sit through it, but it's one of my favourite series that's come out this year. i always enjoy reading your blog posts and i'd love to know what you think about this series in particular :)

Since Vicki dropped them all at once, I did what I do under such circumstances and skipped to watch the final episode. (I'm well aware this makes me a monster. )

Anygay, that told me that I’m not gonna watch the whole series. It’s ITSAY 2.0 + HIV. And I’m not willing to play that old school literatti game.

I'm aware of how amazing it most likely is and what I’ve missed, but I’m comfortable with my choice. It's to protect my own psyche. I don't like unhappy narratives, and I try to avoid HIV as a plot. I lost too many beloved uncles to those three little letters IRL as a child, it scarred me.

At some point I might watch it on fast-forward for the sex scenes, but I’m not at that point yet.

1 - A book you regretted reading: I think it was book three of the Lioness quartet by Tam ora Pierce that I felt disgusted by as a young teen after having had to skim through a scene near the end. I didn't read the last book in the series and, though I thankfully don't remember the scene itself at this point, I don't think there was anything particularly worthwhile about the book.

7 - A book you wanted to or thought you would love but didn’t: I had wanted to read Madeleine Takes Command by Ethel C. Brill ever since I saw it in a homeschool book catalog as a preteen, but when I finally got my hands on it a few years ago, it just didn't work out for me.

10 - A book you finished but wasn’t worth it in the end: See 1. ;)) But also Friday's Child by Georgette Heyer.

11 - A book you struggled with but was worth persevering through: It took me two tries to get into Jonathon Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, but about the halfway to two-thirds mark, I really started enjoy it.

22 - A highly-praised or beloved book you hate: The Hero and the Crown by Robin Mc Kinley is generally well-loved and praised, but it made me so mad.

Not at all, I actually really appreciate it. I enjoy writing and it's been a long time since I've felt the motivation to pick a topic and write a post about it without knowing if even a single person wants to read it, so questions help.

The exception is I don't always answer personal questions and I don't like getting faith-based questions about religion (eg "do you believe in god/hell/karma" as opposed to "what's your opinion on why a relatively large amount of young women are converting to patriarchal religions") because I have finally decently-under-control religious OCD and those types of questions can be a trigger. Other than that, stuff sometimes sits in my inbox for a while but I try to respond to all of it.

I've read A LOT of DP comics, my design is mainly a mish mash of my favourite features from each Wade design I've seen

(there are many more beautiful Wades that inspired me but sadly I don't always find pics of them online)

The hole in the cheek comes from Wade Wilson's War, Ironically one of my least favourite DP comics 😭 but I DID appreciate the sheer badassery of this face reveal

When I first started drawing Deadpool back in February I got really into the idea of drawing his face suuuper messed up like that and only showing it once or twice (just to scare my instagram followers a little bit 😂),

but then after actually designing it I realized he could still look kinda cute and expressive and Idk I just rolled with it IG
