just like how pairing saiko w aren made him funnier i also think aiuras introduction to the manga n position as fellow psychic hanging around kusuo allowed toritsuka to be a lot funnier as well. its good to have more duos that can play off each other really well
#nendou and kaidou are also a really good duo but theyve been here since the beginning so its not as noteworthy#and the introduction of one or the other doesnt really change anything for their character#i like nendou n saikos dynamic cuz im a metorin but i dont rly consider them a comedy duo like the others here?#i dont really know how to put it into words though#saipsi

Ask with some light spoiler content for chapter 5 below!
@blook88
hi lunan. i really liked your game/story. i especially love the characters and their interactions with eachother and with MC. i have some questions: 1.) i felt that after the nathan camp scene (i think in chapter 2) the flirt options with oswin slowed down a bit/there was less screentime for oswin. i understand this, since the following chapters where the introductions of duri & runes respectively. will future chapters always have their focus on different characters or will there be a choice like "choose with whom you want to spend time with"? 2.) relatively at the end of the demo we met a character named aster. i assumed that he would be one of the flirtable, non-romance option characters. but since he nows travels with the group, i have to ask: is/will he be an official romance option? im mainly asking, because while my MC dont have a problem with having one night stands, she (and i as the player) prefer to flirt with only one RO. 3.) will the relationships at some point get locked in? if so, will this happen around the same time or will some RO take longer? andwhat about their frst naughty time? e.g. oswin hints, that there are things he cannot say now and he doesnt want a relationship til then. does this mean his relationship lock in/first time will happen way later in the story? 4.) your ask button says: "reaction asks paused". does this mean we shouldnt send those in OR that we can, but you will only answer these at a later point in time? 5.) during the whole demo, the relationship tab was always empty, meaning there were only the names of the RO, but no description of their relationship towards MC. im not sure if this is a bug or not. thank you for your answers.
Hello dear! I'm glad you are liking the IF and characters! I will answer your questions as much as I can without giving too much away.
Now that all our our ROs have been introduced, time between them will be split up as evenly as I can engineer it. The MC will be given choices here and there for more particular interactions/events featuring just one chosen RO (and these can be either out of romance or friendship). For example, during the intro to chapter 6, one of the ROs will speak up in defense of MC if needed. But during the entire chapter, each RO gets a private event with MC which can be tailored with flirtatious or just friendly moments. And you aren't required to flirt at all with any of the ROs to romance them. As long as you are choosing that your MC has warm feelings toward them (romance or friendship), that is what spurs the reciprocation of those feelings.
Eventually, you will get a lock-in moment. I can't say with certainty when this will take place and it could be different for each RO. My thinking here is that you/MC should make their choice when some of the RO's "dirt" comes to the surface. Their secrets and/or the troubles they carry will be revealed to help the characters bond. For a couple of the ROs, this is also so MC can make a choice they can live with. Some secrets might be difficult for them to digest or it might change their heart completely.
Any of the one night stands will be clearly indicated as such even from any of the ROs. Duri has an option for a casual hook-up in Ch 6, but this does not lock you out of romance or anything nor is it required to romance them. Zahn will have more moments as well like in Ch 5. They are the only two ROs that the MC can get that physical with before being locked-in.
My reaction asks are currently (technically) still paused. I had intended to unpause those a while back, but I simply lack the energy these days. Historically, I have spent many hours answering them and it takes away time for the IF. Some have still sent them in, and I basically just sit on them, lol. When I do officially unpause reaction asks, I will have some guidelines for myself and others to follow. Here is a link to the Inbox Rules. I think I would prefer that you hold on to any reaction asks you have for now.
And yes, the relationship tab is actually empty. I am wanting to revamp the menus and codex so I haven't bothered to put much into them in the last couple updates. Eventually there will be some character data in there and it will track your MC's feelings. As with all things, time to do this is a precious commodity
Thank you for stopping by and sending in question, my friend! I hope I've helped clear some things up for you. ^_^

hi hi anzuhan >:3 anon loves enstars! doesnt keep up too much with the current story arcs or anything anymore bc life got too busy for it but anon is a trickstarP whose favorites are mao and subaru >w< does anzu have a favorite trickstar-focused story?
anzu also doesn't keep up with the main story and whatever is happening with it right now 😭🙏 also made the response pretty long winded so its under cut
anzu is happy to see more trickstar love 🥺 they absolutely deserve it all.. anzu's favorite from trickstar is ukki~ though it used to be subaru for a long time up until recently ish w (like it's been subaru for around 3yrs)
anzu has also become more of a trickstar fan for a few months..! anzu feels as if anzu is missing a lot of read stories for them ( ´_ゝ`) anzu did read some larger stories with them, but anzu almost always did it for the others in the story...! ;; like chocofes, pleiades night .. so on >< so anzu also feels like anzu may not have the best knowledge on most all commonly loved trickstar stories that focus just on them for now, and also this may be an incredibly weird pick given it's not even fully a story..? but anzu really likes the full trickstar course with each of them individually from ! era... they've changed a lot since then, but anzu thinks they were very good introductions to their characters individually and it did make anzu also want to get to know more about them... (´ω`*) anzu's favorite is probably ukki's or mao's. unlike !! course, the ! one also features them all individually + anzu just really likes interactions with the producer. w
this is also not exactly a whole trickstar focused story and just mao, anzu also loves the band BB stories.. it's one of anzu's favorite among all circles and clubs because it has so many of anzu's favorites in one☆

Have you played through Natlan a little bit yet? Because I love it except for one thing. Does the Archon quest feel...off to you? At least the first act. Specifically the character introductions and character acting?
Funny thing actually i JUST finished it last night!
Well uh spoilers ahead
I think its... alright-ish? Act 1 basically sets you up with the basics, the characters, the culture, the traditions, and lore so we know whats up. Cool. We are literally being fed information because we are tourists and i can excuse that.
Idk how to feel about traveller and paimon literally going 'ah look, an opportunity has arised, its time to do our thing and help with this major event'. I mean yes thats how its always been but mentioning it doesnt... help... it just points out a flaw.
The characters are fine enough imo. I really expected Mualani to have this super hyper attitude and squeaky voice we usually get from an 'everyone loves me' character but shes suprisingly mellow and i appreciate that alot. (May change with Citlali though and im not looking forward to it)
I do not like how it is very Tell not Show. Because you know what keeps being shown? The fact that Kachina is A CHILD. Maybe she's not an actual child who knows but hyv is clearly infantilizing her. Case in point:
The chief of the tribe literally asked you for ID because you are strangers hanging out around her. He literally said 'a good feeling isnt gonna be enough for your parents to trust these people'
After the chief knew who the traveller is, he said he could trust Kachina to go to the Stadium to sign up and not get into trouble. She HAS to participate because she has an Ancient Name and you can barely trust her to go to the stadium???
Kachina mentioning how she can't keep excusing her age for being a bad warrior. So she KNOWS shes young and either she or other people in the past has excused her for her performance because of her age.
The genuine actual side by side of her first match up. You know a child vs a massive buff man. Maybe it's just me but her kit is clearly not made to DPS and hyv making us fight these opponents with only her kinda makes it feel so much like a drag.
Everyone around her keeps saying oh shes actually really good, she almost made it last time, shes super powerful just lacking confidence. Well we dont really... see it. When the tournament started and we play as mualani and kachina all i can think about it 'yeah mualani is gonna do all the fighting here' and it adds to the idea that kachina literally did the bare minimum. But then suddenly we get a really cool cutscene of her defeating a 3 times winning veteran. It is not believable to me.
Also now that she's won we are literally sending her off to fight the abyss where she has a REAL CHANCE OF DYING but we gotta be ok with it because she can get resurrected? Are we not supposed to be concerned that we are sending a child to war with a real chance of her dying?
It is such a tonal shock and the traveller or paimon barely says anything about it so WE are supposed to be fine with it too? It probably is culture shock but like... SOME people still sees Clorinde as a killer despite doing her job as a duelist, how do you think those people will think seeing THIS tradition.
As for the bit where we go with mualani while we wait for kachina to come back from war, it was... alright i think. But the manufactured 'chillness' is there, like you can tell theyre trying their hardest to potray this tribe as the chill surfers one. Its also obvious they want us to like Atea. While she looks a lil overbearing i appreciate that they were being subtle about her 'my life isnt gonna last long so i am doing this dangerous task', they had to explain it anyway for mualani but i think them not stating out right at first that 'woah you werent going here because you can use the hotsprings again!' is a good choice, that is a good show not tell i think.
For now though the entire thing simply feels off because i feel like there's no stake at all for us. If kachina loses? Then she doesn't get sent to the war, thats kind of a good thing seeing how she did ended up 'dying'. We've met the archon but for some reason hasn't asked about our siblings or anything and the only reason we are staying is because its the right thing to do. Thats it. I think it's just... alot offered to us but none with actual value to the traveller personally.
While you can argue that fontaine is exactly like that, that we only stayed to help lyney with his trial and everything else because its the right thing to do. Lyney is fatui. Neuvillette is a dragon. And furina is an absent archon. Theres an air of mystery around how fontaine works and these people have MASSIVE connections. You almost want to stay to see how it'll turn up, what information will show up.
Natlan on the other hand revealed basically everything to us in the first 2 acts. Natlan gets abyss attacks because they dont have strong leyline connections. The fatui wants the gnosis and literally will just fight the archon for it. The archon is chill and kind and is the reincarnation of the original archon because we were told that. The facking traitor from night-wind is obviously the Ororon guy lmao. So what IS left to speculate? To look out for?
Like wow she's gonna carve us an Ancient Name? Why lmao. What for? We can purify the abyss we are not dying in the Night Kingdom.
Shrugs idk feel free to fight me on this. I am just a lil jaded because i literally cannot take the archon seriously when shes literally just called 'Archon' with no special title or anything

sonic 3 spoilers (longer - very long thoughts)
just thoughts about something that i would add to the movie
1) i fully expected sonic to take the photo of shadow and maria and later give it to him, since he destroyed everything else and it would be nice like "hey i held onto this for you, might be important" i think it would be a nice way to connect them in an even stronger way. it felt like the rivals to friends was rushed, though shadow seemed to be depicted as more youthful here, i still feel like he would need something more to get through him (but then he def felt something already when he hit tom so it wasnt like a sudden switch or anything)
2) maybe i wasnt paying full attention but robotniks last words came kinda out of nowhere, i really expected them to show at least a little bit of the times stone cared for him. like have him go through the realization and let him feel it on screen a bit longer. maybe he had a moment of thought but i dont remember that. (also it was good but kinda silly in retrospect he really broadcasted it to the whole world 0 shame 😭 just imagining bot from the first movie seeing his future self say that. hed explode)
i would add like 10-20 mins to the movie for this. just let the characters stop for a moment and feel. but then, its a sonic movie. the audience is 5 year olds. it doesnt matter. but i still felt like a lot has been cut or missing? - then again, i need to rewatch it/watch the original to see the original pacing and wording of things. perhaps some things got lost in translation or whatever. i also couldnt concentrate cause someone kept fucking talking over the movie. but what wasnt shown just wasnt shown. also for shadow idk i thought they would go for some brooding scene in the vibe of spiderverse introductions but it went all action but ig they made up for it later i loved the scenes with maria and the stargazing (back when i was into sonadow stargazing was my fave trope for them. stars in general. so this was beautiful. shadow as a falling/fallen star too and in this case it applied to both him and sonic)
3) more music. again this might be just the case of the dubbed version but i felt a severe lack of music? and to me personally the live and learn part felt extremely weak, the orchestral version or whatever it was is nice but here it wasnt hype enough for me. idk, again, maybe the og will feel different but you know. if more of the scenes were treated music wise like the dance ones id be more hyped, i dont like when they use a song but only like 4 seconds of it and stuff. to compare it with an example of what i loved it would definitely be deadpool - the opening fucking slayed and also the like a prayer part. that shit went hard as hell and i didnt even like dp3 that much.
but overall i feel like the pacing was so much better in this one than the second movie and it felt like they actually gave more screentime to the nonhuman characters this time
- this is more critical but there were also parts that i loved and like overall the movie was good, i liked the story, i liked what they did with shadow (i wish they stretched out the tokyo part longer though, that was dope), loved what they did with him and maria, the movie felt balanced enough (but i felt that way about 2 and then on rewatch it was noticeable how many useless human scenes there were so that might change), the gun agents were walking the thin line of being too annoying but it was doable, i loved what they did with walters! also i like wade as a character but this was just enough (people were Groaning when he got on screen lmfao) same applies to the others but i was surprised that was it. so silly
however i still enjoyed 2 more. but this might just be the case of "im super tired, quite depressed, i dont care about anything rn, some ppl fucked me over today and i dont feel good, the vibe is off, i cant hear half of the movie, im too hot and got low bp and keep hearing my heartbeat louder than anything else, and i didnt get a happy ending" rather than "movie bad"
when they revealed shadow in 2 i was jumping off of my seat and gripping the one in front of me. this post creds reveal here was like "oh! okay nice" (<- expected this so 0 surprise or anything)
also for 2 i went in with low expectations and got peak. for 3 i expected better than 2. so i failed myself there
i wish i could say i enjoyed this even more than the 2nd movie. i wish i got back from the cinema just typing out jumbled words and screams on social media like after the 2nd. i got out of this one like "i have to pretend i loved this greatly like i had to do with the fnaf movie" but this was at least better than the fnaf movie to me lmao
fucking sonic prime got more reactions out of me than this movie and i wanted to enjoy it so bad. anyway i need meds or something i ran out of D3 its also that speaking thru me
#sonic#sonic 3#sonic 3 spoilers#sonic movie 3#sonic movie 3 spoilers#this one is a bit more spoiler heavy#ok i added more so much more spoiler heavy#and long.

Alright. I finally sat down for the introduction of the first character. This needs a little disclamier that wasnt mentioned in the Story overview. This character is primarily an NPC in a campaign i am running. Its a premade campaign (CR's "Call of the netherdeep") and therefor will include characters (like the rivals) or special items (mostly the vestiges of divergence) in here. Tho some of these might have changed effects or adjusted personalities to better fit in with the narrative it of course needs to be said that i do Not own these. They are not characters created by me and I am not using them for a commercial gain or anything similar. Its basically like writing a fanfic for an existing story and inserting your own OC. Except the existing story is kinda just the supporting cast (except one of them. For shipping purposes)
Also I will write the Most important things about the backstory. But some things might only be hinted at. Because they will be a topic of an actual Story. And i dont want to spoiler that.
But without further ado lets get into the Profile for the character.
————————
General Information
Name: Abires Blackwood
True Name: Doxitan Sable (i will make a separate post for them)
Nickname: Usually doesnt like to be called by anything else than his name. Later on in the relationship however Galsariad calls him "Dox" in private and "Nor" in puplic (the last one is elvish for "love" and also sounds similar to the french word "noir" which means "black")
Age: 110 years (appears as mid 30)
Race: Changeling (appears human)
Class: Warlock
Pronuns: He/Him (Technically the entire character is genderfluid as a changeling, however in this persona he identifies as male)
Romantic orientation: Demiromantic
Sexual orientation: Asexual
Physical Appearance
(You can also just check the included drawing.)
Eye color: Purple
Skin color: Pale/greyish
Hair color: Black
Facial Hair: Black mustache and goatee
Height: Between 1,80m and 1,90m (he likes to change it quite often)
Weight: 85kg
Body type: Somewhat slim, but not too skinny. Also without clearly defined muscles.
Tattoo: Across his chest is an old tattoo of a slave mark, that is meant to magically force obiedience. (Picture will follow later. Maybe)
Scars/Birthmarks: Numerous scars of cuts, burns and so on primarily on his torso and arms. On his right shoulder puncture wounds from pitchfork prongs that ran through his shoulder and came out on the other side. Scars of deep cuts to destroy the tattoo on his chest, nullifying its magic.
Fashion style: Prefers elegant or fancy clothing, most of the time a suit or similar.
Accessories: Often seen with his walking cane (despite him not showing any signs of problems with walking). Also he always has a piece of golden jewelry with an ingraved scale (usually its a decorative piece on his hat. But can also be a ring, necklace or similar.)
Posture/Gait: Elegant and confident
Other notes: His physical features (mainly skin and eye color combined) are usually quite off-putting for others. However his charming behavior counters that and makes people look past it)
Picture:
Drawing made by me
Psychological Traits
Personality: Most of the time appears as charming, making himself seem very likable (however this is mostly used as a manipulative tactic). But occasionally he might seem mysterious or even off-putting or strange. Some people might even call it creepy.
Temperament: Highly depents on circumstance or topic of conversation. Most of the time he is patient. But if you try to dig too deep in his past or about his true identity he becomes short tempered and violent.
Hobbies: He doesnt really have time for "hobbies" as he spends most of his time trying to further increase his abilities and gather more power. He does have a passion for torture tho.
Morals/Virtues: Does not have a moral code. He genuinely doesnt understand why torture or murder is NOT an appropriate response to someone minorly inconveniencing him.
Phobias/Fears: He says he doesnt have any. Deep down fear of trusting people and getting hurt by them. Also afraid that people find Out the truth about him. However He meets all of these with violence.
Angered by: People trying to find Out his true identity. People betraying his trust. (Later on: People trying to hurt his Partner. Or others flirting with said partner)
Bad habits: Solves most of his problems with violence. Often to the extreme.
Favorite sayings: "Oh, you always have choice. You just have to make sure, its the right one"
Secrets: He is a changeling (that one was obvious)
Abilites etc.
Physical abilities: Shapeshifting, Fae charm and temptation
Magical abilities: Lets call it warlock magic to make it easy (DnD). Also control over shadows. Can take and use peoples souls (however he can only aquire them through deals). On that note: can strike magically binding deals, in which he ties in the other persons soul as a "collateral". Is able to attune more magical items to himself than would normally be possible. However that required a price he has yet to pay. Aside from that he can request aid from his patron god if certain things (especially for a deal) are out of his abilites.
Magical Items: Blood-Cane (his cane is a powerful unique magic item forged from the iron extracted from the blood of hundrets of people), Shapechanging clothing (he can willingly change the Look of his clothes. So he doesnt need an apartment full of clothes because of his different personas)
DnD related Magic Items:
Illusionist's Bracers
Helm (in his case hat) of teleportation
Cabal's Ruin (Vestige of Divergence)
Robe of the Archmagi
Languages known:
Common, Sylvan, Celestial, Ancient Celestial
Relationships
Partner/Significant other: Galsariad Ardyth (Character from "Call of the Netherdeep", however this relationship was recently established and therefor is non-existent in any stories dealing with his backstory)
Parents/Guardians:
Real parents: unknown
"Foster parents" (even if unknowingly): Grio Romez and Zanra Romez
Children: none
Best friends: Childhood best friend used to be Christina Stim
Friends: Galsariad before their romance. Otherwise none.
Enemies: Noone in particular, would consider people that have wronged (or minorly inconvenienced) him as such
Mentors/Teachers: First the few followers of Calfras, later Calfras himself
Patreon God: Calfras, the middle man (God of deals and pacts)
Personas: Doxitan Sable (his true self), Jessica of Waterdeep, Dominance, Tex (will probably at some point make Profiles for All of them)
Short Overview of Backstory
Born in the Faewilds, but shortly after was selected to replace a stolen human child
Therefor lived the first 6 years of his life as the human boy Baelen Romez
Through an accident, the people of his town found out, and had a violent reaction (They were planning to slowly torment him to death. They also were the ones who gave him the slave tattoo. Not with the intention to sell him, but to use it as another torment method.)
This betrayal of people who he trusted, especially since he never really did anything wrong, caused Not only huge Trauma but also messed him up in the head (as in he is a psychopath because there is actually something broken in there)
Was saved from the Situation by the god Calfras, in exchange made a pact with him
The god helped him over the next decades to increase his Power and abilities
When he was about 40 years old, he returned to the City he grew up in to get revenge (will write that properly)
In the following years had a multitude of quest/adventures to gather his magical Items and so on. Not worth putting it individually into the overview, might be written in short stories at some point
At about 100 years of age, has managed to Not only gather a lot of magical Power, but also made his way into several courts as adviser or similar
A few years later (this is where the "recent" startes aka the time where my campaign started, tho the PCs are not in These stories) he met Galsariad Ardyth and agreed to help him in his studies of the arcane
Over the years they became friends (but He wouldnt really admit that)
Galsariad did eventually find Out the truth about him (how THAT went down, will be written as well) but managed to survive it
Eventually they even Fell in love, tho it took some time for Blackwood to admit that
That is so far up until what can be called "the present day", because Most of his stories will be either backstory stuff or fluff (maybe smut?) With his SO. However there is no Set date or year or timeline. So it might move along into the future as well or especially the stories with Gal might jump to different years depending on the story. I'll try to include a rough idea of when a story will be set.
————————
Alright wonderful. That was A LOT (can you tell i really like him lol?) Anyways now you know everything you need to know about him to deal with his stories I guess.
Soooo See ya!
#OC#Profile#DnD#Warlock#Changeling#Trying to write a story but characters need an introduction#did it need to be this long?#probably not#but i guess we're being thorough#to change your fortune#i actually like this title now#i think i might keep it#Abires Blackwood

somethings to say about the Nina tribute video:
i originally planned on her video maybe being 5 minutes long
def was not my plan to have a 15 minute video. (14:50 if you wanna get technical)
wowza.
and im STILL missing the uncut version (yep there's more!)
but im honestly okay with it bc well the thing about nina is that she had SO much going on:
navigating a new school and residence, dodging false accusations from an angry girl, meeting this mysterious woman that sends her on a quest, becoming the de-facto leader of a new group and people looking to her for what to do next, sarah dying, hearing voices around the house, thinking she may be going insane, rufus zeno threatening not just her life but her friends’ lives as well, learning she’s the chosen one and assembling a magical cup all in less than five minutes, an evil spirit threatening her life and now her bf’s life and now her friends’ and grandmother’s life unless she finds some mystical mask in a set of tunnels under the house, accidentally hexing her friends leading to alfie regressing to a child and baby; and amber aging to a very scary point, choosing to put on the mask of anubis in order to save her friends and gran’s lives which meant her going into the field of rushes and just flat out die basically. all the while deal with romance drama and joy’s villain era.
so to put all of that in a five minute video would not suffice it nor do her justice
i did try and do parts for each song
power of the mind is and always will be a nina song, it was the first song i picked out for her and i just think it really fits her
like the first song is mainly her introduction, the most important bits like meeting sarah, getting the locket, her parallels to sarah and her ingenuity as well as smarts and recklessness too, just her character overall and then we slowly moved to chosen one stuff in the next song and then senkhara's hold over her as well as why she wants the mask after that
i didnt show a lot of rufus going down bc it's nina's story to tell, rufus is a whole other thing and at the end, i really tried to focus on nina specifically
that being said, it does end with fabian (and amber) missing her, the last bit of her being the hand written letter (not the locket, that's another thing entirely) i wanted to focus on something nina did rather than what she was given
i used imovie for the software, dont really have anything to say about it bc its free for me so i dont really know other video editing software *shrug*
the penultimate song (the way by zack hemsey) was almost this song called dwell on dreams and i changed it bc it was just too uplifting, like nope, we gotta go down darkness right now
i listened to like eight different songs trying to decide what fit fabina in the end, and i think last kiss by taylor swift really does summarize them in majority, if anyone else has another song please let me know
there’s seriously enough recorded content to make a senkhara video im ngl
also a victor video would be fun too but i’d have to go back and record his scenes again bc i was mainly focused on sibuna stuff
at one point nina’s video has over 54 minutes of content. yep. (thats not including the fabina scenes. in total it should come around to an hour and thirteen minutes. yep.)
15 doesnt sound like a lot now, does it?
i just realized while i didnt end up publishing it on July 7th, i managed to get it out there on July 17 which i think is a fun win!
my favorite part of the video is prob when vera asks victor “what is it about that girl? she makes you nervous, decidedly nervous.” i love it, i wished more characters talked about nina and what she can do, like idk rufus or some of the teachers smth like “dont underestimate them. especially nina martin.” and shit.
like for example in the s1 ending for HHA victor’s on the phone w the real bad guy or whatever, and he’s asking who’s responsible for all this shit and victor answers, “Her name… is Nienke. Nienke Martens.” or smth like that i cant remember
the next video is Alfie’s and i hope his does remain with five minutes bc the song i have for him is perfect and unlike Nina he does have one direct line of evolution from class clown to traumatized to untrustworthy sibuna to brave sibuna, proving to us and to his friends but most importantly to himself that he’s the bravest sibuna no matter what.

a lot of thoughts about silver twisted wonderland
Good morning it’s 3:45 am and dorm silver dropped after almost 3 years so here’s a full length post dedicated to him. not spoiler free
Quick Note: I remember when I first saw all the twst characters lined up and he honestly…didn't stick out much. i picked him as my first favorite anyways though because of zakki and hes been trapped in my brain ever since. Even though his background is still shrouded in ??wtfs i think exploring that is part of the fun of silver!! Personally, I really love him because a lot of his character beyond niceguy.jpg is rooted in subtext and it's super fun to delve into. so i can’t promise this is an unbiased analysis, but I hope you enjoy it anyways.
Translation Credits: @mysteryshoptls, @twstarchives, and TWST Miraheze’s Enharo translations
OVERVIEW
Silver, at a quick glance, seems like both the most normal and most bizarre character in Twst. In a sea of self-serving, scheming villains, he lacks the sort of insidiousness most of his peers are constantly displaying. From a player’s perspective, we know this is because he’s most likely based on Aurora; but other NRC students simply deign to see him as an oddball. From the Disney properties he’s twisted from to his own strange upbringing, Silver is a bit of a question mark to both us and the ingame characters. In this post I’m gonna try to dissect some underappreciated complexities of his character, and hopefully get you or whoever’s reading this to give him some love! haha hope this doesnt get too long
PART 1: INTRODUCTION
First off, Silver’s a pretty lowkey guy. Not in the way Jamil is (forced), or the way Trey is (less forced than Jamil but still forced), but moreso in a way that points to him being out of touch with himself and his own internal state. He doesn’t really…stick out in comparison to the more bombastic members of his dorm; at least not at first. A lot of his quirks are hidden behind his cool expression and appearance, and the gap between those two qualities leads to some funny gags in his interactions with others.
Part of Silver’s charm as a character comes from his super blunt way of speaking, especially when he starts to describe extremely weird situations that he deems are normal. Like in Endless Halloween, when he casually mentions that he’d used to fight bears to Jamil and Jack (who react as expected). He isn’t used to “regular” social conventions, and this is coupled with the fact that he doesn’t really think like a villain does. In Fairy Gala IF, Ace comments on his heroicness, wondering how they both attend the same school.
Essentially, there’s a significant divide between him and the people around him in both mindset and in lifestyle. Other students also view him as strange due to unchanging face. Some of his voicelines point this lack of expressiveness, like these:
“They say that silence is golden. But in my case I just don’t have anything worth talking about…” (Ceremonial Robes SR)
“I’m happy. ‘I don’t look like it’? Understood. Next time I’ll try harder.” (Groovy Voiceline)
His dorm SSR also places this aspect of his character front and center. In Part 1, he overhears his peers whispering about how expressionless and weird he is. One of the students even questions if Silver has feelings, which triggers Silver to try to “learn how to be more expressive” with Kalim and Jamil’s help. Thank god for Sebek, who plans to spar with him in the courtyard so Silver’s classmates can witness his true, extremely cool self. He reiterates that Silver shouldn’t care about their opinions and doesn’t need to change. I don’t think being as on display with one’s emotions as say, Kalim, is necessary for Silver to show growth; he doesn’t have to change who he is to please others. I also really really don’t think that him being less externally expressive is a fault. Sebek’s lines in Silver’s dorm uniform story make this very clear.
PART 2: SILVER IS A HUMAN
Still, an important part of his dorm uniform personal story is his reasoning behind wanting to change his expressions. He says he feels bad for burdening his classmates this way, and doesn’t want this issue to reflect poorly on Malleus. Silver’s dorm uniform story, as well as countless others (see: his PE card, where he only helps Vil after the former mentions Malleus), show off a key facet of Silver’s character. Of course no man is an island, but Silver only seems to exist in relation to Lilia and Malleus. His lack of self awareness can thus be linked to his constant drive to be useful to them. Silver only focuses on training and bettering himself in academics, physically, magically, etc in order to better serve others or avoid staining Malleus’s reputation; it’s all he can talk about. So much of his life is spent dedicated to his family that he’s frighteningly UNself-centered. And I know that his selflessness is part of the joke, but he really doesn’t seem to be thinking about himself at all, ever.
One way to read into Silver’s devotion is through the lens of his mortality. Like Sebek, I think Silver has some internal struggle surrounding his humanity. Unlike Sebek, I don’t think Silver is necessarily ashamed of his race or cognizant of this inner conflict; rather, the fact that he is human and is mortal influences his dynamics with the other three greatly. Something easy to overlook with all the gags about Silver falling asleep in random situaftions or playing with animals is that he is burdened with the knowledge he will die long before his loved ones. Lilia, Malleus, and potentially Sebek (not sure about his projected lifespan yet?) are all likely to outlive him and there’s nothing he can do about it. Unlike the others, his time is palpably finite.
This inner conflict manifests most obviously in his desperation to fix his sleeping issues. While it's in part just a dislike for it constantly disrupting his everyday life, any time spent unconscious is just another reminder of the limited time he has in comparison to his quasi-immortal loved ones. His character profile also marks his dislike as "being idle", which makes total sense when considered in relation to his mortality and not just in relation to his narcolepsy. in this short time he's been blessed with, he should devote his being to giving back to those who raised and cared for him, those who he lives for and who gave him the chance to live. Not a second should be wasted when he could be improving himself as a son, guard, student etc, and this fixation then feeds into his already lacking sense of introspection. While I don’t think he’s necessarily aware of this view of his own humanity (ie it doesn’t cross his mind in such a melancholic or existential way when he’s looking for a cure to his sleeping) I think it’s a key part of his character that explains a lot about his motivations and being.
But what makes the divide between human and fae lifespans even harder to navigate is the sheer difference in their experiences and values. Of course Lilia and Malleus care for Silver, but the difference in perspectives between a human and a centuries old fae is massive. An example of this is in the Endless Halloween event:
Silver: There’s no way I could doubt you, Fath…Da…Lilia! You both took this way too far!
Lilia & Malleus: Hm?
Silver: I understand that you and the ghosts just wanted us to have fun. But those who were taken over by the ghosts tried to fight us. All it would’ve taken was one mistake and someone could’ve gotten seriously injured. Are you saying that was a hint, as well?
Though Lilia and Malleus clear up the misunderstanding-the ghosts were supposed to tell everyone it was entertainment but were attacked before they could-Silver still shows his willingness to challenge them when he believes it necessary. I wouldn’t add this as an example because it is part of a misunderstanding, but Ace criticizes Malleus in his own SR Scary Dress personal story, citing that “normal students can’t compare”, so he should be more aware of how powerful he is.
Endless Halloween is in general a really great Silver event. Not only are we shown his willingness to stand up for what he believes is right, even against the people who make up his whole world, he’s forced to confront the question of his humanity in relation to them. In his SSR Scary Dress personal story, he acknowledges that he never thought they could part:
Silver: Lilia-senpai was always there for me, so I was never lonely.
Silver: Training with Sebek was always fun, and sometimes Malleus-sama would come and visit us in secret…
Silver: Somewhere in my heart, I had decided that that peaceful time would continue on forever.
Silver: …I had never even given it a thought that I could experience a parting.
That’s what makes part 1 of episode 7 is such an interesting set up in terms of character drama- as with the Endless Halloween kidnapping farce, the roles between son and father have been reversed. This time, though, it’s seemingly for real. Silver can’t picture outliving Lilia, or even just living apart from him forever because the first seemed biologically impossible and the other extremely unlikely, and now everyone is crying and Malleus is burning down NRC.
The Valley of Thorns is behind on the times. It’s a stagnant and slow to change, a point emphasized in almost all of its mentions, so I think the Diasomnia chapter will center on them coping with time, change, mortality, etc. I’m trying not to cross over into theory territory, but another possible route episode 7 could take is surrounding Silver’s origins. We see Lilia give him the ring from his original parents. What if he leaves to find them? I really really don’t think he will, but there is that threat of “Silver has ties to another place besides Diasomnia” which is another stake in how lonely Malleus, as the overblotter, is.
JUST TO REITERATE AGAIN BECAUSE I THINK IT’S IMPORTANT WHEN DISCUSSING SILVER LIKE THIS: I also don't think he's super self-aware yet considering his general lack of introspection, or at least doesn't think about it too often unless he's confronted with a change in the status quo (like in his Scary Monsters SSR). He’s very here-and-now minded. I’m not saying he’s secretly hiding some dark and sad secret side, just that his situation’s complexity extends beyond the falling-asleep-everywhere gags. Mortality and all that.
PART 3: I LOVE SILVER TWISTED WONDERLAND
But one thing that always makes me sad about Silver’s situation is wondering…is he lonely? It must be lonely right? Or does he throw so much of himself into others that he isn’t even aware if or when he is? So much of twst boils down to how loneliness absolutely destroys a person, and how understanding from others and human connection is incredibly necessary. Without it, people can turn into literal monsters, consumed by their pain and isolation. Like their leige, Silver and Sebek haven’t socialized with others much until NRC. But a big part of twst chapters is the dorm head/members of the respective dorm connecting with their classmates a little more, which is why I’m hopeful that Diasomnia will have a happy ending. The game is a Disney property after all.
And as Lilia says, human or not, Silver will always be his son. Sometimes a family can be two fae, a human baby, and their giant crocodile.
tldr; Silver is isolated in a lot of ways (human instead of fae, has morals unlike the other scrubs at NRC) and hyperfocuses on others instead of his own sake because of it; I think episode 7 will be about him and the rest of Diasomnia learning how to make connections with others while coping with time, change, and mortality.
#ok i don't think anyone will read this. but if u did thank u very much. i wanna spread my love for silver everywhere#hes more than just a pretty princess!!!! hes a complex pretty princess!!!!#the way his personality infact parallels how modern corporate feminist disney looks down on aurora/princesses from older movies#for supposedly lacking in personality#if i could add mulan symbolism to this doc i would#i also wanted to include sebesil parallels lol#oh well. those two can be separate posts#twst silver#twisted wonderland#twst meta#twisted wonderland analysis#twst analysis#twisted wonderland silver#diasomnia#mine#when ep 7 part 2 drops and i have to revise this lol

New ep of Helluva Boss just came out and i actually want to talk about that one. I didnt even bother with the third one cause somehow I didnt have any strong feelings about it. Anyway, lets start.
First of course pacing. I was really suprised how fast we got into the main action, it starts literally a minute into the episode. We didnt even get a proper introduction of Andrealphus ( or however his name is written, i will just call him Andre) and its his first offical apperance. Its quite insane honestly. I really think it might have been better to do this in some other episode where plot would be focused on the divorce. It feels like they didnt know how to start this whole assasination businnes.
Also for me he seems... really boring? There isnt anything about him that we havent seen before. I dislike how Stella was portrayed too. She may have gotten a bit dumber than at the beginning, i mean she cares so much about killing Stolas that she isnt even thinking logically. Its a little weird when you consider how loveless their marriage was, it doesnt look like she has strong enough reason to hate him this much.
Another thing, her relationship with Andre seems as normal as it can be in hell. I hoped for some emotional manipulation or other toxic behaviour that may explain why Stella is such a bitch. But hell no, there was nothing super weird about them though it may be because there were shown for like 2-3 minutes in the whole ep. On one hand i am glad he is not ( at least yet) another villain, but still he felt important enough to get a proper introduction.
What also bothered me about pacing was the structure of plot A and B. Especially in the fight scene where they are paralleled. Its not a bad thing per se but it dissolves the tension. It also felt like there was no need for plot B except for keeping Blitz occupied and unable to rescue Stolas.
Now lets talk about characters. First Moxxie, as much as i am glad that he became a badass i cannot help but feel like it should have happened in 3rd ep. Him fighting his dad would be so much more powerful than dealing with three random guys on gus station and fighting Striker with Millie. This change would feel more natural. I am not saying he is weak, but his skills were mostly with guns, not physical violence. But in this ep he suddenly is very capable of that, he is also less anxious and more reliable (which is a good thing, thats the development from ep 6). Despite all that i was still suprised.
Both Blitz and Stolas feel pretty much in character, so i wont talk much about them. I just wanna say that i liked them. I am kinda sorry that i wont sing praises, even though there was some good stuff but there is still much to cover.
So lets talk about Striker. Oh boy, not gonna lie watching him sometimes felt like fever dream. I dont know if its so bad that its hilarious or just hilarious, i really cant say. First his sudden apperance in the middle of a restaurant with a whole crowd of witnesses, than his theme song. THEME SONG. I am crying, its just so ridiculous. Its a pretty cool joke but also so surreal. Like up until now it feels like writers tried to find a reason for adding songs. Be it jingles, intros or full stage performences the songs were always a part of an actual action. However here its more of a montage, and it can be barely counted as sth else thanks to a few lines in a dialogue. As i said, not sure if its genius or just bad. Then we have all the jokes about Strikers ego, its not out of character, but it also feels like he stopped being anything more. At first he was a genuine threat and someone who Blitz could have chose to be. Here he still tries to be, but cant because of all the jokes. The big dick statue went too far for me. Its also becoming too repetitive. However i really liked when he started choking Moxxie, he looked really wild with all the drolling. It made him look feral, which is cool. The harder joke also caught me of guard. Last thing about Striker, he is well animated. It may seem obvious but i feel like its really not, especially not in season two.
I dont have much to say about Millie, Loona and Stella. Really, my only thought is that Stella looks kinda weird in this ep. Her head feels to big, especially when Andre is next her. Fortunetly Loona and Millie look alright.
Short note about worldbuilding, it gets more and more messed up. What at first looked like nice little clues for creating a bigger picture now is more like random stuff mixed together so they can pretend to be whole. Hell looks more and more like a structured society with jails, hospitals, offices and so on and yet it makes it hard to ignore how absolutely insane this idea is. At first hell looked like a total lack of rules, then we got some info that IMP using Grimouir is illegal, then human disguises, lawsuits and even jail which overall makes an impression that there is some law. But what is this, how does it work? No idea whatsoever. Then we have hierarchy with imps being at the very bottom of it. Now it seems like they arent really so different if they can afford places like Asmodeus or restaurants Stella is willing to go to. Blitzo having a bussines was a big deal but nothing really came out of it. Also whats with their sizes?? They can be as big as Loona or small enough to fit in a bag. It gets more and more confusing. I wont even talk about Moxxies dad, an imp being a literal mob boss ( mafia exists in hell???). Its all a right mess.
Another thing thats is a mess is a quality of sound design and sometimes animation. I felt so disconected from fight scene in this episode because music didnt fit at all. The tension that should have been there went and never came back. Though the animation was gorgeous. However its not so pretty in many other moments where anatomy of characters becomes a mere suggestion. Sometimes the problem is in proportions, sometimes in perspective but also how some scenes are connected and how the mood isnt appropriate for the overall action.
But since we are getting to the end of this post, let me tell about some good things. And by that i mean the end scene. Its really good, it made me feel what i have felt while watching first season. It was emotional but in a quiet, honest way. We got some small gesture that was meaningfull in a context. We also got some explanation about what happened after Ozzie (a little too late, but better than never) and in such a way that i can appreciate. I like small clues, that u have to focus on to fully understand whats happening. Its one of the things that got me into Helluva, it was fascinating to use small things to create bigger pictures. I loved that, and i wish there was more of that in this season.
To finish, i think the biggest problem of this season is that it doesnt know how to build up on what was shown before. It got lost with all the characters, dramas and possible plots and in the end lost the core idea that was at the beggining - IMP bussines. Now it rushes into different plot points and mucks up most of them because of that. It also doesnt give us anything new? First ep was a sensation with mixed response, but despite other ones having important moments it never got up anywhere near the excitment that started with 5 ep of season 1. I really miss that feeling but i am losing hope that Helluva will return to its former quality and charm.
If u read all of this, thank u very much. :3

ok so ive spammed my friend with toh thoughts a bit to much so time to ramble here i suppose. (sorry in advance thisll be very disjointed and go from one random point to another).
my main take away from the finale is that it felt a bit... hollow?
like dont get me wrong, the animation was so fucking good. getting more titan and collector lore was also so cool (and hellooo The Titan being such a genderqueer royal? absolutely love how natural toh rep is, like its just thrown out there and no one questions it, just how shit is, absolutely bangers- *gets shot*). and aaaa, the aged up re-designs of all the characters are so good, especially like the detail how all the hexsquad have a flapjack tattoo.
yet there are so many bits that just feel off? like they couldve been handle better (even with the cut runtime the show had).
first lets start with the Collector who just got done dirty, like their whole arc was about the fear of being alone again, yet at the end they decided to leave? just like that? like would it not make more sense for him to stay with Eda, to learn to control his powers better and make new friends. especially them leaving to "mature" or whatever doesnt really make sense, like how can they grow as a person if they dont interact with others, if they dont get exposed to different opinions and believes and all that.
and i dont really like Collie, but it still feels like he deserved better, especially after taking up so much runtime.
actually you know what wouldve made the show better? not introducing the Collector in the first place.
no but think about it, why waste so much runtime on a character that didnt even exist before the show was cut (and thus had very little foreshadowing and buildup to his introduction) and then to not even give them a sweeter ending?
if anything the show shouldve stuck with the Day of Unity being the true finale. like honestly if DoU happened over the 3 specials they actually had plenty of time to flesh out all the existing characters further, maybe there could have been even a little more time for more slice of life moments. but then the whole bit with Collie just feels likes taking away precious time, that his character could have only worked if the show wasnt cut, but if it wasnt cut he wouldnt have existed in the first place, so man idk.
and on the topic of the DoU, holy shit Belos got done dirty, im actually mildly mad at his demise.
like it just overall doesnt make sense thematically.
like, ok this is gonna be hard to phrase, and i would like to straight away say i dont think Belos should ever be redeemed, just gonna use other characters redemptions as example.
so toh throughout its enite runtime is really set on showing that everyone deserves a second chance for as long as they want and are willing to change. we see this with Lilith who was pretty much immediately redeemed at the beginning of s2, and whilst many people say it was rushed, or she didnt deserve it, i think otherwise. like throughout s1 she only tries to get Eda into the Emperor's coven out of the belief that Belos will cure her, cuz yknow, she feels really fucking guilty for cursing her sister, and even then she doesnt really force Eda that much into joining, like there are many moments of weakness were Lilith couldve dragged Eda to the emperor, but she didnt, she gave Eda many chances to join on her own. and again the only reason she even wanted Eda to be in the coven was to right her mistake of cursing her. so after going through that guilt for years of course shed be forgiven quickly, as she showed that she wants to change, be better and all that.
we see this with Hunter as well, though his redemption was more gradual, yet still his past wrongs arnt brought up, like how he patronised Eda and Luz during his first meeting, or attacked Amity in eclipse lake, cuz he was also doing shit out of the belief of helping people, and clearly wanted to change for the better, so why bring up his past wrongs when hes a better person now and all that.
why bring this up?
well with Belos toh brought up an interesting dilemma, what do you do with a person that doesnt want to change, thats stuck in a loop of his short sighted beliefs in a system thats ready to accept and help anyone that tries to change regardless of their past?
and the answer to that being to just kill him?
like how does that solve anything? he died thinking he was in the right, that witches are still spawns of satan or whatever tf. it just feels like it goes against what the show established.
now dont get me wrong, the scene of him trying to manipulate Luz for the millionth time and her just staring him down completely unfazed is amazing, it says more than any actual words could ever. what isnt is then Raine, Eda and King immediately stomping him afterwards, which again, just proofs Belos' point that witches are "evil" from his perspective. (how did he even die from that when even mf Collie wasnt able to kill him? and ne got hit by a car and that *still* didnt kill him either, it just feels like he shouldve survived that)
so imagine if instead of them stomping him down they decided to imprison him, that will of course also have the effect of saving him from the boiling rain. so now Belos has to live with the fact that it was witches that saved him, the same witches he'd never show that kind of mercy to, the same witches he would murder the second he got the chance, and what makes it worse is the fact that the human, the one he oh so creepily obsessed over didnt even do anything, wouldve left him suffer in the boiling rain if she had the choice.
and just generally, letting him actually *live* with the consequences of his actions would have been so much more fitting. like dying is easy, wayy too easy, an escape from consequences, but actually living with said consequences, well thats delightfully horrific.
and his death isnt the only way that they done him dirty, the Titan also basically just said that Belos is just evil and theres nothing more too it, when there literally is?? like hello what were all thos Hollow Mind paintings for if not to show that Belos aint just pure evil, how he is a victim of shitty circumstances, yet how despite that it doesnt excuse the extent to which he took shit to.
and the just forgot about that?
... oh right, they forgot the memory paintings even existed untill someone posted their own redraws of them, no wonder they fucked Belos' character up so much :/
man im getting tired from rambling this much lol
but overall its just toh has so many missed opportunities, i could go on and on about them, although not like my rambles make any sense probably, and many people have def explained similar point much better so im just gonna shit up now.
(and of course im gonna rewrite this for my oc x Belos au <3 )
#toh spoilers#toh#the owl house#emperor belos#btw random question but how come people with amity pfps have the worst takes on Belos?

Would you ever consider doing a meta on lqq? Especially what you mean by his morals?
Sure!!
Im not the best with character analysis so please understand this is just me having fun talking about Lang Qianqiu bcz I love him and I love TGCF
!SPOILERS!
i think where most of the early mismatch between the portrayal of Lang Qianqiu's personality and his actions is due to the story being told from Xie Lian’s perspective. Xie Lian is a VERY unreliable narrator which is important to keep in mind when really looking at any characters in the book. Makes it extra fun!
A lot of readers either miss, or just nearly miss the fact that Lang Qianqiu buried Xie Lian alive, stabbing his chest through with a dowel to make sure he couldn’t escape the coffin. It’s purposeful that its a very easy detail to miss. Throughout the novel Xie Lian refuses to acknowledge his past if he believes he was at fault and deserved whatever mistreatment.
In this case it leads to an introduction of Lang Qianqiu as this naïve and rash character who is friendly and a little dumb, the reader at this point does not know that this guy literally buried the main character alive so he seems very sincere. He continues in the Ghost City chapters to be played up as this kind of character. He even cant stand the thought of not upholding justice to the point where he blows their cover condemning the ghost city residents in a rant...
“This hellish place reeks of smoke and corruption, and it’s filled to the brim with demonic chaos. What scum is gathered here, committing what kinds of deeds? Running a place like this, none of you have a single trace of humanity!” (lol)
But then he quickly doubles back shortly after that if Hua Cheng is Xie Lian’s friend then XL can’t ever lie to HC “one should never deceive a friend”. It’s a pretty freaking hilarious switch in mood that gives you whiplash. The only reason he changed his tune on HC is bcz the other god he “just met” is supposedly friends with him. That’s really it, it’s not like anyone said “oh no HC doesnt ACTUALLY accept cruel bets”, because well he does and so LQQ just simply accepts it because he decides friendship is more important than his godly stuff. Its weird but you assume that hes just kind of silly.
So alright, he values Justice and Righteousness but over that, friendship and loyalty. Even more than his roles of a god.
He finds out that XL was his past teacher who he believes killed his family and has this huge confrontation then chases XL down and then has a bigger confrontation where hes crying and yelling all proudly at XL that he’ll never become like XL.
Then we get into what Ill call “Post- I found out the friend I thought I had as a mortal 300 some years ago deceived me” aka “LQQ goes back on everything he just passionately cried about”
This is my fav LQQ, and takes up basically the rest of the book until the very end.
He starts it by cleaving Qi Rong in half then boiling him alive snapping at XL that he should be allowed to make him suffer when XL yells out to him. Its shockingly gruesome, but i wouldnt say “hes not acting like himself”. I dont think thats really fair due to the fact that he challenged XL to a duel to the death despite already having buried him alive. He already has done acts of cruelty purely for the sake of revenge, its not justice. He’s very much acting like himself, just even more aggressive.
He continues throughout the book in the bg trying to find QR’s ashes to truly kill him. Theres a point where everyone is looking for Jun Wu and I truly believed when he yelled out “found him!” he meant Guzi, who we assume was just burned to death, but no he drags Qi Rong’s body out and tries to kill him lol
Its only at the point when the rest of Qi Rong’s ghost fire disappears and LQQ isn’t even sure that hes the one that actually killed him does he realize he’s fucked up. He didnt do anything to get his family back he just killed another person, one who has a son who mourns him just the same as he with his own parents (just know im sitting there like 👌oooh chefs kiss love love love this circle narrative).
And now hes suddenly responsible for his obsessive vengeance and the harm it caused, taking in Guzi and (working on) restoring Qi Rong’s soul. It’s only at this part that I think his character changes from what he was like at the start. That whole “out for justice” early Lang Qianqiu and “out for bloody revenge” Lang Qianqiu were one in the same, its not til he puts aside his vengeance that his character changes.
Okay tldr,
I love Lang Qianqiu very much. hes a crazy ass bitch who became even more crazy ass bitch but he gets a pass on his crazy from the gods because he seems nice and a little naive when really he decides whats Just is what hes feeling at the moment and will kill u. At the very end of the book is when his character changes and its v v good.

tbh i feel like one of the reasons sandy hasnt had a big arc is because he as a character already kinda has it together y'know?
another reason i think is we haven't had a villain who specifically challenges his viewpoint (except huntsman i guess?), like lbd is cruel (in a psychological way) but not excessively violent.
i hope next season they introduce a villain who really opposes sandys viewpoints (in a similar vain to how lbd opposes mks viewpoints) and he gets more screentime.
(sorry if this doesnt make like any sense i have trouble articulating myself)
(sandy vash arc 2022)
You were already making sense to me and the “Sandy Vash Arc 2022” REALLY sold your point to me!
Yeah, I mostly agree with what you’re saying, especially all the stuff about how Sandy needs an antagonist to push him through some kind of arc.
The main part I disagree with is the idea of him already having everything together. I can tell you from recent experience that it can be very hard to grow out of trauma/neurodivergent-related reactions and even if you do somehow, it’s not that those feelings go away but rather you learn to work with them. (Cough-cough, me relying too heavily on my medication holding back my impulsivity and anger to the point of not actually working on developing the necessary skills to combat that so when my medicine situation needed a change, I suddenly went back to having those issues and had no way to cope. And I am 27.)
“To Catch a Leaf” showed us that Sandy STILL has those moments of almost going back to that mindset and to the kind of person he was BEFORE his big transformation. The kind of person he is ASHAMED of being. (Which, actually, holy damn I am suddenly resonating super hard with him ngl)
The issue I have is that we were introduced to that being a conflict for him and then it was completely dropped and left unresolved. And not only was it dropped and left unresolved, but nothing in that episode other than Huntsman getting a Thing™️ for LBD’s soup affected anything in the current story arc.
As a comparison: MK’s introduction to LBD affected the story arc by being a driving force in his frustrations, anxieties, imposter syndrome and other issues of self-worth which led to him jumping in and spamming his Monkey King Powers while not noticing/caring that they were only hurting him in the long run. (I think it’s comparable to when you’re playing a video game and you get stuck in this one spot so you get frustrated to the point of just mashing buttons for a bit even if that wastes your time and hurts you in the long run)
VS.
Sandy’s flashback and moment of weakness nearly causing him to break his pacifistic vow to himself has lead to… what exactly? Everything with him after that is just… cute, funny, silly, wholesome and general helpful friend stuff.
Because Sandy’s fight with Huntsman didn’t actually GO anywhere in the LBD plot-line, it should have been left for the next story arc. Or at the very least, that moment of weakness that we got to see should have been held onto for later.
I don’t care how awesome and cool and otherwise amazing it was (which, yes, the execution of the moment itself was all of those things and more) - it still should have waited.
Having an antagonist that specifically holds the “I’ve had to use violence to survive my whole life and that has made me strong” mindset I think would be a PERFECT foil to Sandy specifically (I think it would also work as a philosophy MK would have to work against which would be important as we can’t make a main series villain that doesn’t challenge the actual main character of the show and it would be more powerful if an antagonist that draws out Sandy’s flaws was a main villain).
For Sandy, I would really like to see him struggling with standing his ground with being a pacifist (like Vash). How even if he understands why and doesn’t condemn others who fight (unlike Vash), he knows himself well enough to not like the person he becomes when he gets any level of violent and wants to avoid it. And yet there will be times where he will be pushed by the nuances of the world to find violence necessary. If that happens, I want him to struggle with and yet learn to ignore those arguments by sticking to “Even if violence is the only solution for others, I can not let myself go down that path again and I never will!”
As a final note, as fun as it would be to make more comparison art between Sandy and Vash if this were to happen, I think having an antagonist like Knives whose philosophy is “People suck; Blow them up” would be too similar to LBD.
I like this ask a lot! Really got me thinking more about Sandy in ways I’ve never put much thought into before.

💫💫💫 please please! (i'd love a fun fact about ayato, i actually don't know a whole lot about him yet!)
AGH!!!! my beloved, my #1 !! i will 100% talk abt him and give u all the deets (maybe not all of them . but ill give u deets)
ill put it under cut bc this is LONG!! and will be a lotta observation and speculation bc we dont get a lot of ayato other than from festival events 🥹 hoyoverse whyd u give us such an interesting man n not have him show up more!!!! now ppl think hes boring!!!!! >:( its ok lol more for me
but Anyway!! one of the most notable things youll learn about ayato is his views on loyalty: he is ALL about loyalty. not just for others’ loyalty towards him, but his loyalty towards others as well. this man has nothing but pure dedication towards the clan n the commission, willing to do Anything for the benefit of his clan and those he deems worthy of his loyalty. u see this when u find out he had a hand in helping kazuha escape, and that he smuggled the watatsumi army into tenshukaku for his sister
he is also a Very observant and cunning man- his plans in irodori fes were to unveil to kazuha and ayaka the truth about the raiden gokaden (he knew what happened when scara was in the warehouse to scour thru kaedehara belongings), and from this current event [SPOILER ALERT!!!] he knew about the yokai who set up akitsu yuugei and held the test of courage to help them get people to play it (which is so sweet!! honestly!!). its like he has eyes all over inazuma- which, with the shuumatsuban, he probably does
which is why i Constantly think about how terrifying it would be if he was your enemy
he may be all polite and sweet to save face- he is a man high up in the hierarchy, after all- but official works have told us time and time again that he is NOT afraid to use underhanded techniques to get his way, or to do what he feels is right, and there is a Lot more to him than he shows. it’s honestly great that he seems to be a “good guy” morally and that we’re friends with him- if he were an enemy i think we’d have a very different view on him
(ngl? controversial opinion. he has the same voice actors as otto from honkai for a reason- there r similarities here ok. HGKRBFKRJFJ i hate otto tho 😔)
a man who, after losing his parents, rose to bring his clan up from the absolute brink of collapse and made it not only in a stable position- but in the tri-commission is 100% not to be messed with. he is smart, tactful and cunning, and he always has something up his sleeve to turn the tables in his favour.
‘"What exactly is he up to?" is usually what people are thinking after all is said and done.
However, now that everyone has a piece of that pie, perhaps what is on Kamisato Ayato's mind isn't so important.’
this Always rings in my head whenever i think deeper into ayatos character. it was what first intrigued me to him honestly- i fell in love with him after seeing his burst (ik.. not immune to pretty man.. lol) but i already thought he was interesting from his official introduction. n god he rly is!!!! and i wanna see more of it!!!! both in irodori and this festival i was always 🤯 whenever i find out the true motive behind ayato’s plans. he’s so SMART and SNEAKY!!!!
ik its easy to think of ayato as a handsome, loyal, cheeky but sweet family man bc that’s how he’s written as ingame- the writers r usually in favour with most charas’ good sides than more nuanced writing (they changed this up heavily w/ scara, which i Really appreciate) so it’s no surprise that ayato was written like this as well (that and the heavy npc focus in his sq- i liked it but i get why others didnt LOL)
but! lets not forget how constantly we’re reminded of how crafty and mischievous he can be :squint: and lets not forget how lucky we are to be on his good side LMAO
oh god ok this was SUUUUPER long. i think im done. i just love him. if he showed up more this wld be even longer. maybe i shld thank hyv he doesnt show up that often cries

dr who asks!! 2, 12, 16, 18? o:
2. what’s your favorite moment with your least-favorite doctor?
My least favorite Doctor is 4, so that’s frankly a lot of material to comb through looking for the brightspots, forgive me if I’m forgetting something that should be obvious
(The honest answer would be saying it’s something from the audios Deleted Scenes or Fate of Krelos/Return to Telos, but I’m resisting that urge because it feels like cheating, since the things I don't like about 4 are all on TV. In the EU I’ve only interacted with things of his that feature characters I do enjoy, so for all I know the majority of his audios might address those issues, and it’s only TV 4 specifically that I’ve got anything against)
I like a lot of his back-and-forth with Romana I, especially in The Ribos Operation, though I think it’s largely due to Romana more than him. Her presence - and her introduction in particular - give him someone to bounce off who it’s harder to effectively be superior towards, so his general attitude feels less bullying with her than it can be with some other companions, right from the start - but also, since he’s got every right to be a bit offended that he’s suddenly been handed an assistant by higher powers, his resistance towards her is not only justified but more compelling to watch than when he’s being down on someone like Harry or Leela, which in my opinion is the kind of Doctor-Companion tension that detracts and distracts from a story, and gets old pretty quickly. His later interactions with Adric could also be considered a favorite of mine - especially when they’re more or less traveling alone together in Keeper of Traken and Logopolis - because they similarly bring out a new side to the character that I appreciated, again putting him in a position he doesn’t quite know how to deal with - so I feel like we see a little more genuine-ness from him than usual, even if it’s just that he’s genuinely perplexed/at the end of his rope with this teenager.
12. what’s a headcanon that’s you forget isn’t actually canon?
I did answer this! (but I couldn't manage it without name-dropping you twice oops) Polly’s racer ex-gf seems to have sunk especially deep into my brain and is just there now, can’t get it out.
16. is there a character you feel is generally misunderstood by the fandom?
I hear the words ‘character fandom doesnt get’ and Rose Tyler will forever be the face that comes to mind. But I feel like that’s still a somewhat spicy topic, and while the things I have to say about her are definitely not hate & honestly not even negativity towards her as much as a rejection of the more popular interpretations of her character, it still feels safer not to get into it lol. “Let people enjoy things” & all that
I think One is hugely flattened out by the fandom, to the point that when I first started Classic, I was convinced I wouldn’t like Two at all because of how surprised I was by how much I liked One. Yes he’s older and stuffier than his immediate successor, and yes William Hartnell was playing a character inherently different from what the brief is these days, but even people who talk about One in a positive light can frequently skip over many of his complexities & the different sides he absolutely does show us over his time in the role, to focus on his significance as The First & the character who established the show. Like he only gets partial-credit as an incarnation.
Six too - people often say his audios redeemed his character, but from what I’ve heard of them so far, his character hasn’t really changed at all, even though the caliber of plots he’s handed does improve (though I also don’t think his TV plots are that bad, I can’t pretend the audios haven’t been on the whole more polished). I understand why Six is so often painted as one of the meaner Doctors, but in a way it couldn’t be further from the truth - he’s abrasive for sure, but he’s SO liable to be sarcastic, pretentious, and downright scathing that the show embraces that, and even his messier TV-plots tie it in so that any serials that feature him being particularly morally questionable in one place also make a point of proving him to be ultimately good-hearted later on, in a way that doesn’t get prioritized with other Doctors who are less overtly biting. When 6 says something mean and then does something that really shows how much he cares, he comes off as both a kinder and more complex character than 4 continually walking through the universe talking down to people, but doing it with enough ‘charm’ that it doesn’t jump out to the writers as requiring addressing or justification. With 6 it feels like a trait that’s actively utilized in his episodes.
And this one does stretch my definition of ‘fandom’ a bit but there’s hardly a classic companion, but especially the 60s and especially the women, who I wouldn’t argue falls into this category. It hardly even feels worth mentioning in this context, because in my experience it’s not a problem among fans of that era & therefore the bulk of people who tend to be discussing Barbara, Susan, Vicki, Sara, Katarina, Dodo, Polly, Victoria, or Zoe... but then again, it’s 2022, so I suppose if you know any of them well enough to even mention at all, you are a fan instead of a casual viewer, and I’ve certainly seen reductive takes that must then technically count as ‘fandom misunderstanding a character.’ And I get how that would happen - the 60s is the beginning of the show, and format-wise, the most distinct from what comes after it (black&white, missing episodes, really diverse serial lengths all spliced up into 20-minute mini-plots) - and as such, it’s likely to’ve been watched by fans of later eras who are curious to make a comparison, but not necessarily likely to appeal to them itself, so you’d get a fair number of people who are more “fans of Doctor Who who’ve watched the era” without being “fans of the era.” But let’s not reduce our assessment of female characters to whether or not they scream a lot and then pretend that’s a feminist perspective, shall we? Just say you didn’t pay enough attention to her episodes to actually speak on behalf of her character and move on, jeeze. Don’t pretend that’s all there is to her just because you went looking for some poor un-emancipated female character from the past to cite as a talking point in your pre-written & deeply unoriginal argument about how far television/Doctor Who has come over the years
(This answer is already way too long to get into another rant, but I think that last one has a lot in common with EU writers who have to invent a new Jamie for their book because they’re writing for 2, so Jamie’s gotta be there, but they clearly missed or never really enjoyed how he was actually characterized onscreen.)
18. what other piece of media would you recommend to fans of doctor who?
ugh that's so hard because I think it depends so much on what you think of as the defining/alluring feature of Doctor Who, and there are so many it must change person-to-person. Plus, a large part of it being my favorite show is that I don’t think there are many other things like it at all. But I’ll try:
Obvious answer, but Star Trek TOS for highly-episodic, stand-alone stories through space/time. TOS’s years perfectly overlap with the Second Doctor’s run, and that alone makes for a v interesting comparison, both in content & production values/approaches (someone write a book on this so I don’t have to)
Hitchhikers Guide & Dirk Gently - also obvious, but despite the 4th Doctor’s run being a low-point for me personally, I do think the combination of tone & literal randomness in Douglas Adams’ stuff is very DW-ish in general. The 2016 Dirk Gently series especially is quite different from the books, but absolutely weird enough (while still being interesting & plenty follow-able) to appeal to an audience that’s into NuWho/I might even say Torchwood tbh. Honestly even Adams’ nonfiction Last Chance to See (a book recounting his travels to witness endangered animals all over the globe) might also appeal to Dr Who fans, again for its unique voice/tone, but also its approach to humanity’s history w/our environment & what we both hope & fear for the planet’s future. It’s more memoir than science, so it’s very Important Science Topic Through The Lens of a Lay Person, which I feel is itself the approach Doctor Who takes in exposing companions/its audience to the crisis of the week & its real-world relevancy
I know there have been short stories by Jorge Luis Borges, Nikolai Gogol, and Ray Bradbury that have the vibe of Doctor Who stories, but obviously that varies from story to story & I’m unhelpfully blanking on many of the specific ones. Bradbury’s Martian Chronicles in particular feels like a very relevant choice though - it’s basically a series of independent short stories that all take place over the course of several decades chronicling humanity’s attempts to colonize Mars. It definitely has that Doctor Who-ish mix of the scifi and the mundane and I think you could see anyone from like, Barbara & Ian to Amy & Rory inhabiting the same world these events are taking place in - it’s got that very slight touch of fantasy about it in some ways, and also reminds me a bit of the prose Short Trips. (oh and I just remembered Big Finish adapted some of them for audio with Derek Jacobi & Hayley Atwell!)
I haven’t read enough of H G Wells (including the literal Time Machine, I know, I know) but War of the Worlds might appeal to DW fans - I was surprised by how much the book focused on the impact an alien invasion had on everyday life, but really, that’s the whole point of it! So perspective/vibes-wise, I consider it Doctor-Who-like in that it’s scifi that’s not hugely about the complex lore or world of the aliens, but a couple of human people who are frankly shocked by suddenly having to handle life-threatening aliens in England. Donna in Turn Left could’ve been living in this book, if that makes sense.
The Road to Mars is a novel actually written by one of the Pythons (Eric Idle) and I don’t think it’s all that popular, since sketch comedy guys aren’t typically who you go to for scifi novels - but in that vein it’s sort of on its own, definitely not reliant upon a ton of high-concept/heavy scifi lore, it’s funny, and presents a universe that sounds compatible with some versions of the future that exist in Doctor Who. It’s about a comedy duo & their android who are just trying to make the rounds across the solar system as low-end performers & accidentally get caught up in a Big Scifi/Political Plot, so I’d say it has Doctor-Who-level antics & the wrong-place-wrong-time premise that has prompted many a serial
If 60s British television (at Limegrove Studios specifically!) and/or Peter Capaldi are enough to hold your interest in something that bears little resemblance to Doctor Who itself, I’ve been singing the praises of BBC’s The Hour for about a decade now, but it’s not at all scifi so that’s probably a weirder recommendation.
I’d also throw in The Umbrella Academy - I enjoy the comics but like Dirk Gently, the TV show probably has more in common with Dr Who - for time travel as a major plot element, characters forced to work/grow together in one of the weirder definitions of found family, and a world that’s allowed to be strange & interesting and sometimes unexplained (ie no dense lore behind its scifi parts, while still having plenty to think through w/paradoxes & foreshadowing to figure out & keep you engaged)
I’m not terribly far into it myself, but the Discworld series for that same anything-could-happen, sometimes it’s very stand-alone, sometimes it’s characters you’ll get very invested in, funny but poignant fantasy/scifi universe that doesn’t take itself too seriously but can make some Extremely Good Points through genre fiction
at this point it feels both redundant and necessary to say Gaiman
#sorry to vagueblog about rose#i've gone back and forth many times over the years on how much i should or should not say about her#bc I have a lot of thoughts & they're not so negative that I would hesitate to share them on just about any other character on earth#but tbh even tho i dont hate her character i know i view her in a light that would probs insult many ppl's personal belief systems for her#and that kinda feels even more controversial you know? since it's basically complaining about real live ppl/other fans instead of like#a fictional character#so idk if it'd be worth it#it might well bring more annoyance to fans of hers than it could relief to me#but ignoring that#ty for the asks! they're fun!

Feri Gonzalez Interview part 4: Marinette’s terrifying path as Guardian.
The translator finished translating part 4 of Feri’s interview. Feri is the colorist for Zag and the ambassador to Miraculous Ladybug in Latin America. The translator gave permission to post their translations on other social medias so I will post it here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckjs0E-f_Fc
Interviewer: I got to tell you, out of all the seasons, I definitely feel a sense of growth. Its impossible to look at Kagami's first introduction and her relationship with Marinette, with the Kagami of the final episode(of season 3), that is to say, they are totally different. If you give someone just those two episodes(the season 3 finale) they will definitely not understand anything.
Feri Gonzalz: And I will add that in the beginning, Kagami to me was just meh(Feri didn't care much for Kagami), I didn't like her and I didn't hate her, it was more like a whatever. But now, Kagami is one of my favorites, with her current mindset. I think her character meeting Marinette and meeting Adrien, did a lot of good for her, and I think that's what changed her, Marinette was a real blessing for her, not just Adrien. With Adrien, she has someone to talk to about what they have to live with, but Kagami, well...get her out of that cage her mother has her in! Because really, Kagami, throughout the friends contest, she does it with Marinette, she gets to know her more, she wants to be her friend, that is to say, Marinette got her out of that box, so that really helped benefit Kagami. that's why I also said with Felix, don't judge him just yet, wait till you get to know him a little more because other characters could be affecting their way of being, he could improve or he could get worse, that is , we still don't know so don't judge him just yet and don't think you already know him.
Interviewer: Haha definitely.
Feri Gonzalez: This is just his introduction ("Felix" episode).
Interviewer: Don't get to intense please.
Feri Gonzalez: Oh! and of course there's going to be people like that , but whatever, don't worry about it.
Interviewer: Hahaha! XD
Feri Gonzalez: And in the case if Kagami, well, the show will demonstrate that to you.
Interviewer: Yes, definitely. Now, about the subject towards master Fu near the end of this season (season 3). It was so sad to see him go, it felt like watching a stage close and well...how do you imagine master Fu's future with his girlfriend now that he doesnt...it makes me sad knowing he doesn't remember his girlfriend, but I also liked that his girlfriend still had those
memories and could still find her way to him near the end.
Feri Gonzalez: Yes, I loved that. I loved that Marianne still had all her memories of him, because she can help Fu, she knows what he likes, she knows who he was. We see that Fu falls in love at first ight, that is, they did demonstrate Fu said ,"oh, its like I already know you", I don't know, I think that's what he said? and then Marianne tells him, "follow your heart", she knows how to charm him, she knows he likes her, I like that Marianne already knows cause Marianne will protect his secret, she'll keep him safe etc. etc. Marianne is in league with Marinette so I really liked that a lot. It was always going to be sad. I felt a lot of little things when I saw Marinette crying,
Interviewer : Definitely
Feri Gonzalez: Its not to noticeable, I wish they made it a little more obvious but you do notice she was crying, she's got tears running down her cheeks as she says goodbye to Fu. I felt a lot of things because well, Fu was like her grandpa, he's the one she confided in, that is to say, he was like her grandpa who was a little crazy, who would suddenly come out with silly things like, "Oh, I'm going to die because I have constipation!", but he would always hold on to her. And I feel that for Marinette, he was her safety net of, "well, if anything happens, at least I have master Fu to help me", but now that sense of security is gone, he's gone, its just Marinette now and she's totally alone(as guardian) and so he really left quite a lot, but also, I am so happy for master Fu because he can finally live his life. Poor guy, since he was 14 years old he has live traumatized, filled with paranoia, hiding, running, he could never be with his girlfriend, and its been like that for what 140?, 186?, more than 100 years! living in hiding, without
Interviewer: he deserved it
Feri Gonzalez:....what do you mean he deserved it?!
Interviewer: No, he deserves his ending, I was referring to the finale XD
Feri Gonzalez: Oh! XD well duh man! I mean here I was saying, "oh that poor little old man" and then you come in with a completely opposite opinion XD
interviewer: Hahaha no hahaha XD
Feri Gonzalez: And I mean, yes, he did have to pay for his mistakes, I completely agree, but let him rest already ! XD
Interviewer: yes, he deserves to rest now. And apart from all that, I also like that he doesn't remember, I mean, I don't think he even has his past traumas. Before, he still had some of that trauma over what happened, but since he doesn't remember anything now, he can finally be at peace.
Feri Gonzalez: Yes, its not there anymore, so he can live in peace, he can go out with his girlfriend in peace, and now that he lives in London, Hawkmoth can't do anything to him, because as we saw in "Star train", Hawkmoth cant reach that far, his range is limited, and so really Fu can finally live in peace. They can't akumatize him or do anything to him because he's in London now, he can finally be happy without carrying all that guilt. But I mean, he already didn't have that guilt anymore thanks to Marinette and what happened in "Feast" after she revived everyone in his world, but it was better for him to not carry those thoughts of, "Oh gosh, I messed up so much, I messed up for over 100 years", the only sad thing about all this is that he doesn't remember anything and well, his family is already gone, he doesn't have his father, his brothers, he's all alone, but thankfully he still has Marianne, who was the one big benefit to all this.
Interviewer: Yes, he has Marianne. Also, you do get a sense of empathy for how Wayzz misses him near the end, when he leaves. On top of things being sad, he doesn't remember him, not even Wayzz was left.
Feri Gonzalez: Yes, and that is to say, Wayzz is the one who will miss him most.
Interviewer: Yes, he will :'(
Feri Gonzalez: The kwami's will always go through this situation, all of the kwami's have gone through hundreds of heroes, so I think it will always hurt for them to lose a master, but I think master Fu was the one who they spent the longest, they were with him for more than 100 years, so I think for Wayzz specifically , it hurt him the most. In the past, when human life expectancy was much shorter, the kwamis would be all, "oh well, he lasted three years and now he's dead, I think it was what? the plague, or a fever that killed them?" they were already accustomed to it, for example Tikki with Jaun de Arc, they uh....they burned her, the poor thing. So you can imagine that the kwami's were accustomed to, "they're going to die, I'm not going to get attached etc.", but with Wayzz! he was with the same guy for over 100 years, of course he cares for him, poor thing.
Interviewer: And he was his friend, he would wake him up, he would talk to him, he was his company right?
Feri Gonzalez: Yes yes :(, it was really sad to me in so many ways to see Wayzz hide behind Ladybug and say he won't remember anything anymore, "Goodbye master" , UUUGH! (T^T)
Interviewer: Ugh! yes (ToT)
Feri Gonzalez: I couldn't hold it together after that :'(
Interviewer: yes :'(
Feri Gonzalez: But well, as sad as it might be, when you think about it, I'm still happy near the end because Fu can finally rest, but on the other hand, poor Marinette, cause you have to take into account that he condemned her to live in paranoia, he condemned her to live with these secrets, he condemned her to not find a moment of peace with Adrien because she has to hide her secret identity, that is to say, he condemned her to the same things he had. But as bad as her side is right now, we will see how Marinette learns to fix it, because something I noticed in season 3 was how Fu had his way of doing things, but Marinette would always pull the rug underneath him and show him she could do something different and he would always admire it and say, "Wow!, it really worked!". In fact, you cam really take note of this in "Feast" when Wayzz would tell him, "Trust her, she'll resolve all of this" and then Fu is all, " No, it cant be done, they wont be able to pull it off, its impossible ahhh!", and Wayzz is all, "Just trust Marinette!", and sure enough, Marinette got him out of trouble. I think Marinette is going to be a different kind of guardian and maybe she could find a solution to her problematic situation and avoid living the way Fu did, living hidden, paranoid, all of that.
Interview: There's a question I've been meaning to ask you, its something that's been on my mind a lot, its about the situation of forgetting everything, after the box is passed on to the next guardian, that is to say, for example, if we arrived to a moment near the end where adrien or marinette revealed their identities and they go out with each other and spend their lives with one another...the moment she passes on the mantle of guardian to another person, will she forget everything that's happened to her with cat noir, their identities, absolutely everything?
Feri Gonzalez: Well yes, that is to say, that's what I picked up on, that if she renounces the box, she will forget everyone she lived with, aside from having the miraculous.
Interviewer: Oof! don't do that to me :(
Feri Gonzalez: Yes, and I'm sure that, well...I don't know if...that is to say, we still have to wait and see if Marinette can find a solution to that
Interview: yes, I would like it if she could
Feri Gonzalez: Because you can give up being guardian by saying the magic words, but If we pay attention, we can see that Fu's box never changed, that is to say, they were training him to be a guardian but he still wasn't one, the past guardian still hadn't renounced the box, that's what I understood. And so I think Marinette can still get her way when she passes on the box, without saying the spell, because the spell is just to protect the users of the miraculous so no one tries to get any information out of the guardian and everyone else, its more of a uh...a security measure!.
Interviewer: mhm (yes)
Feri Gonzalez: Yes, but their not necessarily obliged because we already saw that Fu did not qualify because the guardian who trained him never renounced his box to him, but Fu still ended up taking it as it is. But then Fu renounced the box to Marinette and...that is. look, Fu named her the new guardian and the Box recognized her as its new owner, it matched her. It kind of reminds me of, I don't know if you've ever seen "Card capture Sakura"
Interviewer: mhm mhm (yes yes)
Feri Gonzalez: Yes that anime, it reminded me a lot of the books, that is to say, Clow's first book, the cards started suddenly acting badly and Sakura had to sign them to make them he's, that is to say, make them into cards for Sakura so they could be hers.
Interviewer: That's true, yes yes
Feri Gonzalez: I figured it was something like that , that its just being passed on, the box obeys her now and does what she wants and do whatever , that's why we see the box change form right? with each guardian.
Interviewer: mhm (yes)
Feri Gonzalez: And so I don't think its necessarily an obligation to give up the position so to speak, but it is more of a security measure to protect the miraculous users and to prevent anyone from trying to get any information from the guardian, that is, its more for a sense of security, but its not like their obliged to say, "oh well, if I don't renounce it, I cant set an example". Lets say that Ladybug wants to pass it on to Cat Noir, well she can just as easily hand it to him if needed, and it just ends up being a red egg in his room.
Interviewer: mhm (yes), of course.
Feri Gonzalez: And she can still use the miraculous, we have seen that Marinette can just take them now (ladybug can take out a miraculous from the box through her bug phone), there's nothing stopping her from getting the miraculous. And so I think one of the big advantages is that she is not obligated, that is to say, it was more of a rule the guardians had to protect themselves and protect the users.
Interviewer: mhm (yes)
Feri Gonzalez: But its not an obligation, the box wont stay shut if you just end up getting it.

Okay so I've been thinking about the whole Wilbur resurrection and his words DO NOT add up at all.
And I'm not being in "denial" here, this isnt really about crimeboys, rather its genuinely something off about the whole situation that isnt consistant at all to what we previously know. Now I'm NOT saying the reverse psychology theory is real here, you can come to your own conclusions here but the whole situation is genuinely inconsistent.
1) Wilbur didn't know anything about what happened in the living world.
This is an odd case because you would think Tommy of all people would actually hold Wilbur accountable during the months that he was with him. You're telling me that he NEVER mentioned the second destruction of his nation? You're telling me that Wilbur didnt even ASK? Things like Exile is understandable, but there are so many other things that have happened that Tommy could have easily mentioned to Wilbur. Yet he doesnt.
It actually doesnt make sense at all because Tommy is the type who would mention these things, even if they were tense in the afterlife HE WOULD STILL accuse Wilbur of the things he clearly did in the living world that screwed them over. HE WOULD MENTION what his actions caused for other people and himself, Tommy isnt a character to hide that.
He has always been one to blame others and hold them accountable for problems and mistakes they clearly made. He's done that with many other characters before, Wilbur is NOT an exception here.
So you're telling me Wilbur didnt ask about what he missed ONCE and Tommy didnt mention anything at all? They were together for MONTHS what else would they even talk about?
2) Wilbur mentions being alone until Tommy arrives in the afterlife, before eventually leaving.
But this just isnt true? There are multiple instances AND Povs where Schlatt and MD were clearly present within Wilbur's headspace in the afterlife. And there are instances of him actually speaking to them too.
The first encounter we had with voidbur during the disc war he mentions Schlatt and how he's "Sick of that guy" and wanted to get away from him (tone wise it was just general annoyance, not malice)
In Tommy's brief look into the afterlife Schlatt and MD come into conversation. Wilbur clearly tries to call one of them over until Tommy refused the company. If Wilbur was able to easily call the others over, then why is he saying he was alone with no one but his own mind to talk to?
(You could say that Wilbur only likes talking to/ confiding in tommy but that is am assumption rather than an arguement. In this case everyone is treated equally here)
And Schlatt has clearly spoken to both Wilbur and Tommy too, with Tommy mentioning how Schlatt told them to "keep time." That fact in itself PROVES that the other afterlife residents were able to communicate with each other.
(You can mention how Schlatt was asleep for months but that doesnt mean MD wasnt there, it also doesnt mean Schlatt was asleep FOREVER)
And then we can finally mention Quackity's stream where Schatt or "Glatt" makes an appearance. And Schlatt mentions how he would come down from the afterlife to hangout, already showcasing more awareness and knowledge of himself then Ghostbur has shown (Ghostbur seems like a special case here). Already from that, it isnt inherently wrong to say that a lot of Glatt's knowledge about the afterlife is reliable and accurate to what it actually is.
So if we were to actually take his word for it, then he clearly shows companionship to Wilbur and Tommy in the afterlife. He mentions them coming down to hang out, he implies how Tommy would follow Wilbur around, he mentions Tommy's general uncomfortableness about being dead to begin with. All of these things somewhat contradict Wilbur's words of being "alone" if he is able to recall these encounters.
3) The first appearance of voidbur hes fairly friendly with Tommy and Tubbo
Now you can argue that things change during that passage of time seeing as each introduction of voidbur are years apart. And I wont argue with you if that's your reasoning against this claim because it does make sense.
Personally, I think the passage of time situation is complicated in general.
But I feel like a lot of people forget that the disc war encounter is STILL voidbur. And cutting to the chase here, his overall personality and vibe towards Tommy and Tubbo was actually very friendly and understanding.
He sensed Tommy's uncomfortableness and tried to calm him down and cheer him up by cracking jokes. He even says that its okay for him to feel uncomfortable because the whole situation in itself is odd.
I dont know about you but that IS NOT the Wilbur we saw revived. Whether time changed him (I honestly don't know what would make him different) or to put it bluntly, revived Wilbur is playing us for fools right now.
I think this last point can be held with a grain of salt tho because it is possible that the first voidbur encounter can be taken as improv. Or from the CC's perspective, they havnt finalized who voidbur actually was yet and instead they just rolled with what they had which is why he may have seemed nicer here.
This is generally what I have noticed that stuck to me. I still think there are a lot of the points that were made about Wilbur with the reverse psych theory that still stands. Not saying the theory itself is true, but the evidence that was used is still very solid in some cases. There are a lot of general inconsistencies here that I feel like are too integral and noticable to be a slip up or a mistake.
Say what you will, but its still suspicious nonetheless.
