And like @lyranova, I decided to make it a post of my own to avoid corrupting Lola's notes with my... wild tastes, shall we say.

There's a lot to share so let's just get into it.

In order we have:

Morgen Faust, Nacht Faust, Karma

Now to list their commonalities. Not all of them apply to every guy but there's enough overlap.

Long, flowing hair (alas, poor Saint and Orlok missed that in their main appearances but CGs have shown me that they had long locks at some point)

Narrow eyes (can be up-turned or down-turned)

Armed and dangerous (martial arts, weapons, or magic, they should pack a punch)

(Bonus points if they've actually killed people. The more the merrier~!)

An air of regalness/refinement, regardless of social standing

Religious trauma~ (generalized sin/guilt complexes work too)

Code Realize Love Interests Review

So I have finished the first code realize game and started on blessings however I really don't see my mind changing on the men I love and in the order I love them in. So here is my review of the wonderful men and where they hold a place in my heart within this series. This is based more of the games than the anime since anime only puts cardia with Lupin. There will be spoilers so if you have yet to play then I would say hold off if you plan to.

Saint Germain - This is a beautiful, beautiful man inside and out. He really is passionate and has a heart of gold you just have to get to a point where you see this part of him. He is loyal, loving, and will absolutely die for the love his life. He can be a bit possessive but at the same time its a very sexy appeal to him. He will protect at any cost the one he loves even kill all the apostles or give up immortality and die. He is very affectionate and loves to show off with kisses. He has such poetic words that take my breath away especially in the bridge scene where he tells cardia if she is a monster so is he, if she shouldn't live nor should he etc. This man is not only attractive, I mean absolutely gorgeous but he matches it with his personality yet never lets looks keep him humble. This mans emotions when he feels he could lose cardia breaks me I have never cried so much in games until this man. He can pull at my heartstrings like no other. Even when he feels he could lose her to Lupin in blessings him begging lupin to say nothing of his insecurities to cardia I couldn't help but break down crying. I love Saint Germain and I truly love, loving him.

2. Impey - Now this one creeped up and was a complete surprise to me. So first of all his story brought tears to my eyes especially the sad ending. As for the anime he annoyed the piss out of me he seemed like a cocky stalker to me. So he was the first I romanced in the game to get him over with because I just didn't see how I would like him. Well here is where the surprise is he admits the reason he is flirty from the start is because he believes in love at first sight and believes he has fallen for cardia the day he meets her. He is also the one that no matter the route your on he wants you to be happy even if its not with him, he is the only one like this. He has such a gentle soul and as you let him in you find he is such a loyal person to his love and to his friends. He dreams big but he wants to take the woman he loves with him and show her off no matter what he wants people to know not as a possessive way but as a proud to be hers way.

He is the first to propose like he has no doubts all in just say the word. He would follow cardia through anything all she has to say it. Due to this if someone he is in love with was to say bad things or shut him down it would crush his soul I believe. He is protective and would die for the one he loves even if its not the smart move he makes the decision on his own. I think Impey would make a good husband and provider and even though he is a vampire he does not let this render him from doing anything but protecting the people that mean most to him. He does have more humor but he is very optimistic. I like to call him my little dreamer boy because the stars in his eyes really do shine brighter than any other love interest. He isn't afraid to sit by his loves bedside and hold her hand when she is sick, or kick someones butt for saying something he finds rude to her. He will take her to the moon one day and kiss her where no gravity can hold their hearts down. Thank you Impey for showing us how to be loved so purely and unconditional.

3. Herlock Sholmes - So after finally finishing his story I felt the need to update this all and change my order. This man is flirty, and passionate and mischievous. I love it and he drips sex appeal even when he don't try. He holds himself like a gentleman and will protect Cardia at any cost. He is the prince charming that will wake her from her slumber as well as will wait for her to be by his side with no other women to distract his end goal. He is adorable in how he proposed and the fact he comes to see her often in a years time to leave her flowers and such makes him such a genuine character that he has a part of my heart as well. I did a more in depth review of him but I will leave it as he is the kind of man I would be ok holding my heart even if he can't clean or cook he can look good while you do it for him and gives you eye candy.

4. Victor Frankenstein - I really had no interest in him from the start of the game because based on the anime he seemed like a quiet little mouse that I just couldn't imagine a good romance from. Omg I'm so happy to say I was wrong this man has alot of pain in his past but once he lets cardia in he has so much love to give. He has such a soft and romantic heart he is the kind that you could see growing old with and would be there holding your hand as you age telling you how beautiful you get with every day. He is the type you would want to be your soulmate thats for sure. Then come into blessings and he blew me away he isn't just a quiet mouse that stands beside you no he will stand between you and anyone who could cause you harm. He showed a very strong protective side as well which I was so happy to see. His story did make me cry in some parts but this is what I love about Fran he really is a great man and his looks weren't top for me but this ginger boy grows on you and becomes a little more attractive every time he opens his mouth. He is as about as innocent as cardia though I doubt he has even lost his virginity but thats what makes them super cute together.

5. Arsene' Lupin - Ok everyone knows he really is Cardia's great love and I mean it isn't hard to see it whether in the anime or the game. I do like them together and I feel like he would love her to his dying breath. I just worry would he ever truly be able to give up life as a thief and give her the home she truly deserves without stealing everything. He showed how loyal and how much he would take care of her emotionally and love her though so I do respect him for that. I can see how he looks at her and his gentleman ways make him quiet a catch. He is also attractive something about him wearing that mask is just so hot. Anyways I do love lupin please don't misunderstand that and not only is he a good guy and love interest his love is pure he looks no where else. I feel like he pushes her to be better and to protect herself. He gives her street smarts and teaches her the ways of the world he isn't over protective he wants to see her shine on her own while he holds her hand. He keeps to his promises at any cost and that I can respect him for. All in all I do think he is a good one.

6. Abraham Van Helsing - So based off the tv anime I really thought I would like him, I did worry about how broken he was from losing his wife and kid but was surprised how in the game its his mom and brother he loses, not sure why that was changed. Anyways you can tell apart of him is broken and he struggles to let someone in although I see their point of changing to his mom and brother so that he would want to have a romance again in the game but I feel like the pain you see in Van honestly fits closer to someone who did lose a wife and kid. Also I feel like cardia helped him by just being stubborn as he was just to get close to him. He will always be a protective soul especially after losing his family and blaming himself in some way for not being protective enough.

He also believes the woman he loves he wants her to be able to take care of herself if he doesn't get there in time. He is probably the most stubborn one cardia has to push through to love and lacks alot of romance that I wish was there. That being said Van still is a good guy and when he learns to let her in he wants to show her the world. He over comes so much to be the guy she needs in her life and I respect him for that. I was surprised the naughtiness he had in him after they were together though that I did no see coming but oh was it worth seeing him naked in bed.

Completed otome games, my thoughts, along with my fav characters (last updated: August 22nd 2021)

1. Code Realize - August 2021

Saint-Germain instantly caught my eye, along with Lupin ofc. I was curious about Impey but my friend who lent me her collection of otome games said he was shit. Code Realize was my reintroduction to otome games, and plummeted me into otome hell once more. As soon as I saw Herlock Sholmes, I wanted him as a route, and loved his Future Blessings route.

Saint Germain was my absolute favourite, and his route hurt me in all the right ways. His VA was amazing at conveying the emotion behind certain scenes.

2. Café Enchanté - August 2021

After completing Code Realize, I felt a little lost and didn't know what game to play next. I figured after the pain of some of the stuff in Code Realize, I'd go for something I thought would be a little more fun and a little lighter. Cafe Enchante was next on my list. I was instantly drawn to Misyr and Il, with Il being my first route. I absolutely loved Il, and was traumatized from having my fav boy be the one who was hurt the most again. Although, Misyr is definitely a top contender for most hurt fav as well...

3. Piofiore - August 2021

I continued on with Piofiore right after Cafe Enchante, and instantly knew I was interested in Dante and Yang. I went with Dante first, and was absolutely enamored by him. I was absolutely heartbroken to find out that I didn't get his best ending at first, and contemplated not playing the game for a while. But I decided against it and carried on, using a guide this time. I didn't think anyone else would surpass him in my mind, but boy was I wrong. I quickly fell in love with Yang once I started his route, and his route was the first to make me feel butterflies again in years since I played my last otome game.

However, after playing through all the routes and getting to the finale, I absolutely fell in love with Henri, and I'm honestly shocked that Nicola has left such an impression on me considering I didn't think much of him right after his route. Now it's hard *not* to think about him. But overall, I love all the men pretty equally. I'm super excited for 1926.

4. Collar x Malice - August 2021

I was definitely curious about this one and was tempted to start it multiple times when choosing which game to play next, however I put it off because I didn't like the protagonist being a cop.

The characters are honestly all super loveable, and I think I love them all a bit more equally then I do the Piofiore guys. I was surprised Saeki wasn't a route, until while I was playing Kei or Shiraishi's route when my friend spoiled he was Adonis' leader.

I fell in love with all the characters quite gradually through their stories, with the exception of Shiraishi. I knew he'd be the one I was the most curious and interested in. I was so excited when I finally unlocked his route, and I absolutely loved every single bit of the early half of it. His comments and interactions were hilarious, he was adorable *and* hot.... and he loves cats. What the hell more could I want from a guy? He makes me want to introduce him to my own cats and also makes me want to do mundane and sweet things with him just because he's so sweet and I love him.

I was absolutely heartbroken at his "best" ending, and thinking about his tragic ending hurts my heart. I legitimately only want the best for this man- I only want him to be happy and healthy and not confined to some stupid prison or Adonis...

It also feels strange, but I think I love him best *before* he got a little soft with the protagonist? His quick retorts and harsh comments were hilarious and I loved that so much about him, so I was a bit sad when he grew a bit soft later on.

At the time of writing these past 4 entries, CxM is the latest game I've played, so Shiraishi's story is still super fresh in my mind. I was as obsessed with most of the other men mentioned above as I am with him right now. I'm sure the following entries will contain more love-ramblings like this as I complete more games and add them to the list.

5. Amnesia: Memories - August/September 2021

Toma! Toma! Toma!!!

My first experience with ✨ the cage ✨. I went with Ikki at first, got his normal ending (thaT SHIT WAS SO SAD WTF ;-;) and then went back with a walkthrough for his good ending. But... his route was kinda underwhelming tbh. I liked it as I played it, but looking back now... it really was quite underwhelming. So was Shin's route, who I played after Toma. I was interested in who the culprit was, and was shocked with the reveal tbh. Buuut after playing Toma's route... it was understandable. Although I really wish that Shin's route had more affection in it... it felt more like a mystery with a little bit of romance rather then an otome game.

I played Toma's route after Ikki's, and omfg... Toma was truly an unexpected fav. Hated his good ending tho, idfk why you would be ok with just returning to normal after all of that... but whatever. I would willingly go in that cage I s2g. I LOVED his eyes too! When he gets dark and super possessive, those eyes are just... UGH. Yes please. ❤

I skipped the entirety of Kent's route because I really just don't give a fuck about him. Hes absolutely not my type. I felt bad skipping it, but... in the end I don't really care.

Ukyo was also an unexpected fav- I wad super curious about his route and suspected that all of the "interesting" and bad stuff that I had heard about would happen during his route buuuut... nope. Nothing of the sort. He was so damn sweet, but I will say that uh... insane side of him is kinda hot too. 👀 but omg, the fact that he's a photographer AND so damn dedicated to you and sweet is just... ugh. My heart. Ukyo and Toma definitely became my favs for this game, and I think this is the first time where my first route didn't end up being one of my favourites.

I love how sharp Toma is as well! That he knows so much about you and can easily find out things and such... but also- I really like how dedicated and caring Ukyo is. He's so protective and adorable! I really did feel bad for him during his route. I haven't gotten his normal ending yet, but the title of it is so fucking sad and I don't know if I even wanna go for it.

6. Bustafellows - September 2021

Honestly, when I started playing Bustafellows I didnt expect to like many characters, if any at all. None of them were particularly appealing to me, at least visually... however, as I played the game, I was drawn to Shu and Mozu, as I found Shu to be the most attractive one of the bunch, and Mozu was interesting to me as a coroner. However, the first character I ended up with was... Crow. I was honestly a little surprised, but didn't care too much. I didn't know who I wanted to go with first, and honestly, as the common route progressed... I found myself liking Crow more.

Crow was the one I liked the least out of everyone, at least visually at first. I really didn't like his hair lmao. But as I read the common route, he really grew on me, and I couldn't help but be sweet to him, so ofc I ended up with his route first... and god, I really love him. He's so stupid and adorable. Like seriously.

I went with whoever the game would give me after Crow, and it gave me Helvetica. With Crow, I really loved his character, but didn't care much for his story. It was the opposite for Helvetica. I enjoyed his story a ton, but not his character. I then carried on with Shu, who I loved entirely. Both his character and story was really really good, and his bad ending... phew. Damn dude.

Mozu came after, and I honestly have mixed feelings about his route. I feel like there really needed to be more romance between him and the MC, but the end of his route where he finds his sister is.... oof. I literally went "thats rough buddy" in my head lmao. I felt so bad for him.

I liked Limbo a lot more then I thought I would as well! He was super adorable and sweet, and the story was pretty good too, so I really enjoyed his route. But overall, I believe Shu and Crow are my favs this time around. I can't believe I didn't like Mozu as much as I thought I would! But I feel like I would have liked him a shitton more if there was more to his route then there was.... smh.

Nightshade - September 2021

I almost immediately jumped right into Nightshade, although with doubts of enjoying it in my mind, as I wasnt in the mood for a historical japan setting. However! I loved the characters, and the story! By the end of it, I was thoroughly angry with the antagonists for hurting my BOYS like that...

The first one I went for was Kuroyuki, who I LOVED. I felt a little bit confused throughout his route, but I still quite enjoyed it. A sweet yandere. Babey boy. I love him.

Next was Chojiro, and oooohhhhh boy.... yeah. That was a little rough. BUT I feel like the story was very well suited for him!!! After that I went with Goemon, who was SO SWEET. For a moment, the "plot twist" had me, but then I realized there was no way he was wasn't trying to trick his old clan/the council.

Hanzo was second last, and definitely an unexpected fav! I didnt find him very attractive at first, but seeing him more and more throughout the routes had him growing on me. And I LOVED him! But... I don't like Ieyasu's treatment towards the end of the route; ordering Hanzo to kill the MC after making us thoroughly believe he was a kind man in every other route.... sigh. But I'm happy that he was able to take just the MC's sash instead of her head. I do like that he also told Hanzo to "go get a wife and come back" hehe.

GOD that scene in the cave with Hanzo where youre both naked... YES. And his hair when its wet!!! Hes so adorable AND hot at the same time???? I love Hanzo. Tbh, I love all of them.

Gekka was the last one I did, but I wish I reversed Hanzo/Gekka's positions. Cause I really, *really* didnt like ending on such a sad ending.... dear god. I really thought I got the bad end or something for a hot minute there. Then Gekka comes in! Ahhhh, honestly I didn't like him much at all at first which is why I saved him for last, but his route.... FUCK man. His route was heart wrenching. And he's so damn sweet. I still don't understand how/why he doesn't try to kill the MC in the other routes after the "protection" "curse" is lifted but whatever. Still, the ending... dear god. And all of their graves being dug up... the box of everyone's hair... jesus christ that was morbid. Even that made me mad. I didnt care much for the blonde haired kid who died first, but everyone else after that had such a good part to the story...but I wonder why Kuroyuki lived in every route?

Either way, Nightshade was a lot better then I thought it would be! I loved it!!! I honestly might go back soon and replay Kuroyuki's route now that I know whats going on and I know the characters.... also wanna replay Hanzo's route! Babey ❤

Do you think the cast of Cafe Enchante would get along with the cast of Code Realize? How about with the cast of Collar Malice or Piofore?

Funfact I havent actually beaten Collar Malice or Piofore yet XD (I'm working on it) so I cant answer for those.

As for Code and Cafe...

Sissi and Kororo best bros for LIFE and you can fight me on this one.

I want to say Misyr would get along with Arsene the most because Canon Route.

But I actually think he would get along best with Saint Germain and Herlock Sholmes!

I think things would be quite tense between him and Germain at first (Apostle and Demon and all) but I think things would smooth out and then they'd be the absolute trolls they are. With Herlock it would take Misyr all of .00001 seconds to realize he is Sherlock Holmes, get a bit star stuck, then develop dialogue.

On general you'll have a trio of absolute Trolls with Secrets and Knowledge in common.

I also think he'd develop an older brother type affection towards Cardia due to their similiar circumstances like he did with Il.

He'd probably have a lot of issues with Alestair and Finis though, and would probably respond to Nemo the same way he did with Asmodeus (also he would be very wary of Omninus and Victoria)

For Ignis I think he would probably get along just with Van. The two, from a personality standpoint, aren't all that similiar but the two do share in human strength and Ignis would definately love a sparring partner that wont go down in one punch and similarly this means Van could go all out and not have to worry about Ignis dying.

I also think Ignis would get along surprisingly well with Impey due to their shared abundant energy and Ignis's love of food and Impey's love of cooking.

That said, Ignis would probably get really annoyed by Fran and Cardia, seeing them basically having a pity party and seeing the CR crew basically coddle Cardia like Il is.

I will admit, Il was a tricky one. My first guy reaction was "of course Saint Germain, Apostle of Idea and an Angel of God?" And then realized that no. Il meeting Saint Germain would probably be mentally devastating to the both of them for differing reasons and as such I don't think the two would get along well at all at first.

I think the people Il would get along with the nest would probably be Victoria, Guinevere, and Hansel believe it or not. Each character has elements to them that work well with Il's own history (desire to be loved, authoritive abuse, dependance on false identities, ect) and I could easily see them getting along very well in different ways (Victoria would be amused by him, Guinevere would see him as the child she always wanted, Hansel would see himself)

It would be just to keep him away from Omninus, however, and Finis would likely not cope well with his existence.

Canus was another tricky one but I can solidly say he would likely get along best with Leonhardt, Finis and Cardia.

For Leonhardt they both share their desire to be loyal knights and protect their homes. For Cardia it would be their shared feelings of being Monsters by Design and he would probably see a lot of Titania in her thanks to both girls basically getting the middle finger from life and with Finis it's because he would basically be seeing a smaller blonde Vinnia.

I could also see him getting along pretty well with Fran.

Rindo would likely have the easiest time getting along with Arsene. Both have a past where they made a decision they deeply regret that got others killed, both are definately gentlemen (especially to the female lead), men of culture, and are willing to put their lives on the line to protect those they care about.

I could also see him getting along well with Nemo and Delly.

With Nemo it is mostly due to a shared Mad Scientist Quirk with Mikado, and with Delly he likely sees every Changeling child he has ever encountered and Dad Mode has activated.

For Kotone we have the obvious Cardia, both being young women and easy to get along with for the most part. That said I also think she'd get along very well with Fran due to his soft spoken demeanor and Arsene due to him probably being full of interesting stories of is escapades and heists alongside him generally just being good natured and a bit of a trickster (not unlike Misyr, actually)

As a side note I could also see Impey, Epilogi and Asmodeus becoming total bros, but Mikado and Nemo would probably try to murder each other at some point.

Also, I could see a Post Game Solitus getting along well (or falling in line behind) Victoria or maybe even Omnibus, but would not be able to stand Finis at all.

Also I would like to clarify that I think whether or not Misyr and Arsene could get along also directly depends on the routes for each game. If it is post Misyr and Arsene's routes i think they'd get along pretty good but pre their routes and i think they'd have a tough time due to the similarities in their personalities and the fact that Misyr would likely spent a lot of time lightly trolling/teasing Arsene and Arsene would have a hard time doing the same. (If it is post their routes they'd be on a level playing field for trolling and added a shared commonality in their Love Interests)

  I literally took my time playing this FD, knowing it’s the last (physical) otome game that will ever grace localization in the PS Vita.

Code Realize: Wintertide Miracles (Shirogane no Kiseki) is the second fandisc of the series, Code Realize. This game contains varieties of alternate and after stories that happened after the events of the last fandisc, Future Blessings.

  ART AND MUSIC I know this is probably redundant as I’ve gushed about it a few times in my reviews for Guardian of Rebirth and Future Blessings. But, the artist Miko has done it again! I could not for the life of me, describe how incredibly beautiful the CGs are for this fandisc. There were also new sprites available for all the main and side characters, wearing their cozy winter outfits. Even Queen Victoria gets a new sprite wearing her expensive royal fur faux garb!

What I also loved about this fandisc were the new BGMs added for the series, they were all unforgettable and were specially made for the game’s Yuletide theme. One song that really stood out to me was the second Ending theme (Finis’ and Sholmes’ ED) “Beside You” by the artist SHOJI. Listen to the full track below:

  SIDE STORIES AND AFTER STORIES I did Cantarella’s route first, followed by Finis and Sholme’s epilogues, then knocked out the love triangle dates before I played the main course, that is the “First Christmas” alternate stories for Wintertide Miracles. I myself, enjoyed this play order, though I would suggest playing whatever story you feel like playing first because that’s the whole point of a fandisc! lol

  CANTARELLA (Another Story) This story happened somewhere in the middle of Guardian of Rebirth’s common route. On their way home, after watching a performance at the Royal Opera House, Cardia and the rest of Lupin’s gang witnessed an attempted kidnapping of the Opera House’s beloved songstress, Cantarella. They’ve managed to save her as well as send her perpetrator running for the hills. They then took Cantarella to her home for safety measures, which lead the gang to meet her so-called “father” Miles. In this story, Cardia finds a friend in Cantarella and later on, discovers her true identity as both their existence managed to connect each other’s fates.

Just like “Lupin’s Gang’s” (side) story in Future Blessings, Cantarella’s route offers new likable characters and an interesting new plot for us to follow. Although I’ve very much enjoyed this story (for what it is), I didn’t like how the writers threw in these important characters on the third game, since canonically they don’t matter anymore as the main plot officially ended in Future Blessings. I would rather have this as an alternate story than a side story because It felt kind of unfair for Cantarella, Miles, and Auguille to get dissed like that after this little episode. lol Unless they’re planning on a third fandisc! (laughs)

Although the choices you make in Cantarella’s route, will not change the whole outcome of her story. It will, however, change a few scenes and dialogues in the game depending on the guy (main characters) your choices are inclined to. You can view my walkthrough for this route here.

  FINIS’ EPILOGUE (After Story) This after story took place right after the end of Finis’s route in Future Blessings. 

Six months have passed since Cardia managed to save his little brother, Finis from the unfortunate Nautilus incident in London. During this time, both twins return to their home in Wales and spend each day cleaning and repairing their old abandoned house while enhancing their bond as siblings. Suddenly, all hell breaks loose when one of Isaac Beckford’s invention called the “Knockers” have been spotted destroying a couple of buildings in London. It was made clear in the story, that these supposed-to-be-quarantined inventions of Isaac were “wrongly” activated by accident and it is now, up to the  Beckford twins (Finis’ most especially, since he’s fully knowledgeable when it comes to their father’s inventions) to stop this heaving uproar that threatened London its peaceful days.

This was probably one of my favorite After Stories in the series. Not only we get to see Finis in his true nature, as Cardia’s adorable cinnamon roll lil’ brother. We also get to see Lupin’s Gang and the Gordon Family in action as they help out clear the disruption in the streets of London during the main incident. ***This epilogue was very heartwarming and I absolutely enjoyed seeing Finis’ soft side while he deliberately declares threats whenever one of the main bois flirts with his sister! *chuckles* (´ ω `♡)

  HERLOCK SHOLME’S EPILOGUE (After Story) This after story took place right after the end of Sholme’s route in Future Blessings. 

It’s been half a year since Sholmes defeated his arch nemesis, James Moriaty (in Code realize Future Blessings). During this story, Cardia becomes part of Sholmes’ Detective agency together with his partner John Watson. The three of them fight crimes for the cause of good, even to the extent of ‘trying‘ to stop Lupin, the gentleman thief’s planned diamond heist of the prized jewel called “Mermaid’s Tear”.  Though try as they might, Lupin, as cunning as he is, still gets the upper hand and was able to escape with ease together with his genius engineer assistant, Impey. I know this was just a filler episode but it was kind of weird seeing Cardia as their enemy for once, but oh well…

Anyway, Sholmes actual main story revolved around finding a cure to Cardia’s poison.  As the Horologium still present in Cardia’s body, this fact still poses a threat that one day it will activate again, killing her along with the demise of London and its people. With this complication at hand, Sholmes gathered his A-team geniuses in the field of science and medicine; Victor Frankenstein, Dr. John Watson, Impey Barbicane and even the deviant genius scientist Nemo, who apparently now lives in a tiny cardboard box located in sewers (laughs) 😂 Poor guy! As all of them try their hardest to conduct research on a formula that will counteract the horologium’s poison, more problems seep into the picture that eventually causes Sholmes and Cardia make one life-threatening decision.

I like how Sholmes’ epilogue was narrated in a fairytale-esque kind of way. I enjoyed the story’s fluff content though, to be honest, this is probably the weakest story in the game (imo) as there really wasn’t anything “new” going on. Nonetheless, if you’re a fan of Sholmes, I’m sure you’ll have an awesome time discovering a few surprising sides of our favorite hot daddy detective. 

  FIRST CHRISTMAS “Wintertide Miracles” (Alternate Stories) These are “after stories” that happened right after Finis’ route in Future Blessings. It’s merely an alternate story where our heroine Cardia finds love during the Yuletide season. We get one story for every five main characters. What’s really special about these stories is that Cardia falls in love with one of the guys while his brother is alive! …THIS couldn’t be any more perfect, ❤️ I almost wished this was headcanon!

  Spoiler Warning: I will only be posting each story’s premise but I’m putting up my spoiler banner just in case.

  Victor Frankenstein After Isaac Beckford’s Nautilus incident that wreaked havoc in the city of London six months ago. Victor ended up opening a clinic located in the downtown part of London in order to help as many people as possible at a cheaper cost.

Victor’s main story started when one day he receives a mail from his parents in Switzerland telling him to settle down. He, in reply, told them he has no plans in getting married anytime soon but then started talking about how he’s currently interested with this ‘one girl’ and went all out writing two whole pages regarding his feelings for Cardia. (´ ε ` )♡ Without thinking of any repercussions, he sends the letter back to his parents judging its only the right thing to do as he’s speaking honestly from his heart. uwu. The next few days, he receives a reply letter from his mom saying they’re coming to London for Christmas so they can meet their son, Vic’s girlfriend. 🤣

In result, a panicked Victor travels to Wales to ask Cardia to be his “pretend” girlfriend just for Christmas while his parents are in town. 😂

***This was by far the cutest, most endearing “First Christmas” story I’ve read among the selections and I absolutely enjoyed it to bits! Besides its overwhelming fluffy contents, we also get to see Victor introducing Cardia to his parents (in CG!).

  Saint Germain Six months after the Nautilus Incident, Saint Germain, visits Idea’s leader Omnibus and reports that both Finis and Cardia, Isaac Beckford’s “problematic twins” are now living peacefully in Wales as normal human beings and are no longer a threat to humanity. As one of Idea’s faithful apostle, he awaits for Omnibus next order but was surprised to hear her tell him to take a long sweet vacation instead.

Still dumbfounded by their leader’s words, Saint Germain goes back to the mansion to find something to do with his newly acquired free time but since everyone in Lupin’s gang went about their own lives after London’s incident, he was left as the only resident in his house. This made him feel lonely and he admits to himself how much he misses the rowdy group clamoring inside the premise of his mansion. What’s more, is that he longs to see the face of his beloved, who he has not seen since his last visit in Wales.

This made him decide to write invitation letters to the group for a Christmas “Get-together” party. Though unsure if his anticipated guests would actually make it to the planned event. Saint Germain waits with hopeful eyes to see the faces of his precious friends again.

***The part where he waits for his friends actually made me tear 😭. Why are Saint Germain’s stories always melancholic? Why?! Thank goodness, this ended really REALLY happy. I would also like to gush on the fact that this is the only episode in the whole series where we get to see Guinevere outside her armor! Seriously, you absolutely can’t miss this!

  Abraham Van Helsing After London’s Nautilus incident, Van decides to travel with Delly all over United Kingdom in search for survivors of the Vampire War.

During their travels, the duo hears about the upcoming Christmas festival in London and decides to come home for the occasion as well as attend the gang’s Christmas party at Saint Germain’s mansion. They haven’t seen everyone in a while, so this decision made Van and Delly both excited. While at it, Delly proposes to take a side trip to Wales before coming to London and see the Beckford twins. Van agrees with him with Cardia in mind. ( ´ ▽ ` )

A few days have passed and they both arrived at Cardia and Finis’ home in Wales only to be disheartened to see the twins not being around. But with optimism as their friend, Van and Delly decided to wait. Night falls, and finally, Cardia and Finis arrived in the most unfashionable way ever (their automobile almost came crashing towards the duo) 😂 Everyone says their greetings when Cardia noticed that Van and Delly have been waiting out in the cold for too long, so she insisted they stay for the night.

The supposed-to-be one night stay turned into days and the group eventually decided to go to London together. While still in Wales, Cardia wanted to make everyone Christmas presents in the form of knitting and Van insisted on helping her with it.

***I love this! (/▽＼*) This surprising side of Van Helsing is all I ever wanted. I’m so glad to see him happy, always smiling and in his positive beaming self. It’s so refreshing! I need more happy-ray-of-sunshine Van Helsing in my life!

  Impey Barbicane Half a year has passed since the Nautilus incident in London and Impey visits the deviant scientist Nemo in prison from time to time as he plans to re-invent the gravity alleviator and is currently taking notes on Nemo’s advise while at it.

One day, In Saint Germain’s mansion, Saint tells Impey they received word from Van and Delly saying they’ll be back in London for Christmas. Since Lupin and Victor are already residing in the city, they decided to might as well invite Cardia and Finis in order for the gang to reunite once more this Yuletide season.

Meanwhile, in Wales, Cardia, (while fixing their automobile) thinks of how Impey’s constant declaration of love for her makes her heart feel woozy. She gets confused because she’s sure she loves Impey back but also “loves” the other members of Lupin’ s gang as well as her brother Finis. With this train of thought, she pesters her little bro and forced him to say the phrase “I love you” (to her), to which a blushing Finis, with all the effort, reluctantly did. 😂 But then yo girl was like “Oh but why does it feel different when Impey says it?” 😂 😂 😂 ROFL. This was adorably hilarious! I just can’t! 😂 

Later that day, they received a package from London in the form of a miniature Impey doll with a recording of Impey, Saint Germain and Lupin’s voice telling the siblings to come home for Christmas.

***I really enjoyed reading this one! I love how Cardia was strongly forward of wanting to explore her own feelings as she tries to discover the different meanings of “love”.  …and seeing Impey immensely blush time and again was such an awesome treat, I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear! Another plus point was that we get to see Nemo give love advises to yo boi and that, to me was the icing on the cake in this story! (laughs)

  Arsene Lupin After the Nautilus incident in London six months ago, Lupin is back doing his thievery schemes like the proud gentleman thief he is.

One day while on a mission to steal a prized necklace from a corrupt Duke’s estate, he ends up being chased by Leonhartd as usual and just when he was about to execute his dashing escape, he gets distracted (by thoughts of Cardia) and gets shot by a rubber bullet instead. This, not only surprised Lupin himself but his perpetrators, Leonhardt, and his men were also perplexed at how they were able to take out the famed gentleman thief in one easy shot. In the end, an injured Lupin still managed to get away as he limped his way back to safety.

Back at the mansion, Victor along with Impey confronts Lupin saying he’s not being his usual self lately and asks him to perhaps, take a rain check from work (theft missions). A week later, Saint Germain chimes in, telling him the same and suggests that perhaps he’s longing for “someone”.  Taking in the Count’s advise to heart, Lupin begins to think of Cardia and how her absence is taking a toll on him. He then concedes with his true feelings and finally admits he misses her badly and the only way to cure this yearning is to see her face to face. So he starts writing the ‘perfect’ love letter for his beloved lady. 😂

***I must say, this after-story has the best CGs, as expected from the game’s headcanon boi. Just like Lupin’s uwu story in Future Blessings, it had its glorious romantic moments between the couple. As far as I see it, the game is clearly biased on Lupin’s story… the kabedon scene and that loooong kiss at the end, come on!  I couldn’t ask for more!

  TRIANGLE DATES (More CGs!) These are short stories which involve scenarios of Cardia spending her day with two main characters in the series. Although these are rather shorter stories compared to the ‘Wintertide Miracles’ selection, I was really impressed by how exceptionally good these little episodes were. You think you’ve had enough doki-dokis? Try this one on for size!

  SPECIAL EPILOGUES These are short epilogue stories continuing the last events of Future Blessings (White Rose). These will unlock last, after finishing all of the above’s selections.

  IMPEY It’s been a few days and Impey hasn’t returned home after going on a work-related project (fixing airships and submarine engines in London).  Cardia was left alone in the mansion and although she knows Impey will come back soon, she thought of surprising him by gathering a lot of research documents related to their ‘moon-project’. She leaves for Wales to collect any information her father might have written in the past that can possibly help with the project. Not to ruin the surprise for her hardworking husband, she leaves a note that says “I’m going”.

Impey arrives at home, finds the note then begins to panic thinking Cardia has left him.😂 So he hurries and follows her to Wales to clear out this whole silly misunderstanding.

  LUPIN Cardia and Lupin go on a picnic at their secret place which has a great view of the industrial city of London and Lupin suggest that it’s about time to go on a honeymoon. Next few days, he takes Cardia to his birth city, Paris. There, they visit and the grave of his master, Theophraste and both of them said their prayers. They also ran into the head of the French police whom Lupin coined as someone equivalent to ossan Leonhartd. They had everyone (French police) chase them for fun and the couple gallantly escaped in style.

  VAN Cardia and Van are finally getting married and Shirley helps Cardia put on her wedding dress. Cardia decided to step outside the church so she could practice walking in her high-heel shoes when a bunch of men in black suits kidnaps her and takes her to another wedding location. There she finds an impatient man wearing a groom’s outfit who urges her to walk down the aisle with him. Cardia remembers the combat techniques her husband taught her and throws the man to the floor. Meanwhile, a worried and upset Van bursts out through the church door and started taking down the men in suits Liam Neeson style! 😂 😂 😂 Before things get worse, the gang stops Van and explains this was all a misunderstanding as the kidnappers and groom were actually actors and the bride actress never showed up for rehearsals so they thought Cardia was her by mistake.

The Moral of the Story: Don’t mess with this couple… ever! 😂

  VICTOR Cardia is now working as Victor’s assistant in the Royal Society and they spend their days doing research in Victor’s lab. Though they call themselves husband and wife, they realize that they never really had an actual wedding ceremony. So Victor asks Cardia if she wants to have a proper wedding and she says yes. A few days later, they began their search for a church in London but couldn’t find any since it’s peak season. Queen Victoria, along with Leonhardt notices Victor’s sullen expression and asks him what’s wrong, Victor tells them their circumstance and a snarky Victoria promises to help him only if he can prove to her how much he really wanted the wedding. After their deal, Victor comes home later than usual as he’s working extra hard to get her beloved wife that perfect wedding she deserves. Finally, the day has come for Victor to propose to Cardia and Victoria granted them permission to use the newly renovated St. Paul’s Cathedral. They got married in front of their friends and the Queen, and Cardia couldn’t be any happier.

  SAINT GERMAIN Cardia is now free of her poison and she and Saint Germain return to London so they can hold their wedding ceremony. The Count buys the ship “Gloria” from their mafia adventures in Lupin’s Gang (Future Blessings) episode and tells her this will be their venue. A day before their promised wedding, Hansel takes Cardia to Omnibus cottage and there they meet with Saint Germain and the leader of Idea herself, Omnibus. The old lady gives them her blessing, saying they will no longer be in the watchful eye of Idea and Saint Germain is now finally, freeee!  Both couples said their thanks to Omnibus. They got married in their luxurious ship the next day and all of their friends are with them happily celebrating the couple’s most special commemoration.

  Will I be able to enjoy this game even if I haven’t played Future Blessings? There were a lot of characters and events in Future Blessings that were present and added to this game, so I don’t think it’s a good idea to skip Future Blessings in the series. In addition, the main “Wintertide Miracles” stories continue from the last events of Finis’s route in Future Blessings, so, all the more reason not to skip the first fandisc.

Localization There were a couple of typo mistakes that I couldn’t really overlook which makes me think that perhaps because of it’s promised released date on Valentines Day, the game was rather rushed and there wasn’t a lot of time spent dedicated solely on proofreading it. ┐(︶▽︶)┌

  TRAILER

  FINAL THOUGHTS? ＼(＾▽＾)／ My overall play length for Code Realize Wintertide Miracles was a good 10-15 hours. Despite me trying to make the game last forever for about at least, two weeks, I finished it pretty quickly because I just couldn’t get enough of it.

Cantarella’s side story was way better than the gang’s Mafia adventures in Future Blessings and I sure did wish the ‘Cantarella-characters’ would’ve made a cameo in the special epilogues, because seriously, what a waste of good characters to be squeezed in, on the third game. ┐(‘～` )┌

Finis wins best boi in my book. This was one of the things I really appreciated most in this FD, and I’m sure most Code Realize hardcore fans would agree. Finis’ character finally gets justice! We get to see more of his adorable side as Cardia’s little brother while maintaining his hostile and dubious personality 😂. Who would’ve thought this boy is such a tsun-tsun! ❤

Do I recommend this game? YES (esp. to all Code Realize fans) Take note, this game is the series’ second fandisc. So literally, one cannot play it all willy-nilly without fully playing it’s first two predecessors. Personally, I’ve enjoyed this game a lot but that’s because I’m such a huge fan of the series. Perhaps to those who aren’t into Code Realize, you probably won’t enjoy this as much.

With the production of PS Vita consoles and games, completely shutting down worldwide this year, Code Realize Wintertide Miracles was such a special treat for us otome fans ~ esp. now, where there is scarcity of otoge releases in the West.

The game’s romantic Christmas theme really took this one up a notch and the newly added side stories are really something to look forward to. If you already like this series, loved the game’s main casts and wished for more adventures with them, this game is definitely worth the purchase.

Hello there, recently read your speculations on Carmen Sandiego, I really, really love the effort you put. I'm hoping we see Carmen and Chase chemistry, they're very interesting characters. Do you reckon it could be possible, some people argue it's an age difference. But they look both adults to me. Thief and Cop romances are my favorite. I really hope they're going to do it.

Hi there! Thanks for the compliment. I’m hoping for more chemistry too this next season seeing as he was saved by her and it might get him to think differently. It would be nice to see him stand up for her and tell Julia she was right about Carmen and maybe thank her for helping him out. 

People could, but my guess is that Chase is a lot younger than he looks. For example, that beard that they gave him is meant to make it look like he does a lot of work and doesn’t think about his looks for some reason. Honestly it strikes me as try hard on his part, and it’s probably the fact that he’s younger, mid twenties, maybe late 20s, than he looks here. They’re going for a vibe to make him seem older. But we know that Carmen is at least in her early to mid twenties. So  I don’t see the whole “Age Freak out” going on here since she’s not a teen. 

I love the Cop/thief Dynamic as well. A few of my favorites…

I’m trying to think of more. There was a pairing from the Animated show C.O.P.S…found it. Sgt. Mace and Nightshade….

It’s kind of hard to find a lot of these pairings, but when they’re done right, they can be amazing and fun. I hope they do it too. Honestly I find her relationship to Chase a lot more interesting that that of her and Graham, who reminds me way to much of Jordan Lee, or was it Lee Jordan…he was a former Acme Agent in the old Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego who switched sides, was far more of a jerk regarding stealing and Carmen pretty much teamed up with ACME to take him down. We also have the fact that there’s a Cannon friendship between Chase and Carmen from the original Games, so there is that factor. :)

KJNHM I THINK FAV ROUTES IN C:R ARE HARD TO PIN DOWN BC LIKE. they’re ALL amazing (which is rare for me to say honestly), it just comes down to what your “type” is??? i have a HUGE bias towards characters with really dramatic/emotional storylines, so my top favs are going to differ from someone who was really drawn in by the pure romance or etc of other routes, but that being said my personal order is

Code Realize Playthrough - Chapter 7: The Bouyant and the Bellicose

Finally Chapter 7 of Code Realize Playthrough has been completed, sorry for the delay~ Seems like it’s a pattern that each chapter of the common route will focus on each guy so now we get to see more of Impey this time~! 

It’s quite an exciting and fun route with cute Impey moments, I do enjoy this chapter very much~ >///<

Cardia tried to invite Dracula to breakfast the following day after the party, but it seems like yesterday was a special exception, since he refused to join them today. Dracula said that he regretted joining them yesterday and insisted that him, as a vampire, it’s out of the question for him to share a meal with them. However, Sisi was in his room and started pulling on his clothes and trying to drag him out of the room. After some commotion, Dracula gave up and decided to come out of the room. He blushed and affirmed that it’s not that he’s opening up to them, but he’s just decided to follow Sisi since Sisi had wanted to eat breakfast with the rest of the group. 

(Dracula is always so adorable when he blushed though >////<)

They head downstairs together and the group welcomed “Dora-chan” warmly to join them for breakfast, which made him even more flustered and decided that he shall return and eat in his room instead. Van encouraged him to stay, saying that Dracula could keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t escape if they eat together, and reluctantly, Dracula stayed. 

(It’s funny that Dora-chan keeps dissing how bad the food is but he’s eating it so heartily ^^;)

As everyone was enjoying breakfast, Cardia noticed a gaze on her and look up, and realised that it was Fran who was looking at her. Even though he smiles as if there’s nothing wrong, Cardia felt that something was off about him...

At night, Cardia was practising her fighting stances to be used in self-defence, as taught by Van. She thought back to how Fran had looked at her in the morning and wondered what was it about, and guessed whether Fran had wanted to say something about his “lead” that he had mentioned yesterday since Sholmes had appeared before they were done with that part of the conversation. 

Cardia started to suspect whether Fran was hiding something from her, and felt uncertainty and anxiety bubbling in her. She thought about the poison and Horologium in her, and remembered that once again, she was deemed as a “monster” in most people’s eyes. She was too deep in thought to realise that Fran was already standing before her and calling her name worriedly.

Fran told Cardia that he had been trying to talk to her since just now, but it seems like she had zoned out and wasn’t responding to him at all, which made him worried for a moment. Cardia asked Fran whether he had come to see her out in the courtyard, and Fran started to scratch at his cheek with a guilty expression, revealing that he actually had a very important reason. (Hmm... I wonder what it would be about.)

The two of them sat down on a bench nearby, and silence fell since Fran had not speak anymore after that. Cardia noticed that Fran had an expression on his face that shows that he is conflicted on whether he should be telling her this. After a brief silence though, Fran revealed that what he’s about to tell her was about the lead that he was talking about yesterday, and he said he would be telling the others tomorrow too. He knew how Cardia could obtain the truth regarding herself, and revealed that Isaac (Cardia’s father) had a secret research lab, and he knew how they may be able to locate that. He also revealed that he may actually what the Horologium is and started to explain about the history of alchemy. Long story short, the scientists working under the Queen had tried to produce a legendary substance - the philosopher’s stone, but they never were really able to recreate it, and instead, they’ve created an imitation - Zicterium. Fran suspected that Zicterium was further refined by Isaac when he took over the project and made it into the Horologium, since he had personally saw the Zicterium before, and noticed both the solid form of Zicterium and Horologium had the same sort of shine. 

The information made Cardia felt more precious about the Horologium in her chest, though Fran was still looking worriedly at her, being sorry that he did not how and why the Horologium was acting as her heart and harbouring poison in her body. Cardia replied that it’s alright, and that she’s actually happy to know that her father had made this and was involved in the project, adding on that him making this had helped to keep her alive, for her sake. She looked up and noticed that Fran was looking away with a forlorn expression instead. (It looks like Fran isn’t happy about it, perhaps the Horologium isn’t a good item at all...)

Fran continued and explain that the secret lab was where Isaac was studying the philosopher stone, and may be also the place where the Horologium was created. Therefore, if they head there, they would be able to learn about Cardia’s past, and perhaps figure out how to fix the poison in her. Realising that Fran has known about this information a long time ago, she wondered why he is only telling her this information now. Fran flustered and explained that it took him sometime to confirm the link between Zicterium and the philosopher’s stone, and he expressed that he’s sorry since he knew he really should explained this to her way sooner.

The next morning, Fran explained all of what he had told Cardia the night before to the others. Impey thought that it was a very big deal, since he thought that they know where they should head next. But unfortunately, Fran had no idea where the secret lab is. He did have a lead to where they can find the information that may lead them to the lab, so what the group was about to discuss was on what is the lead to that lead was about, and what they have to do to get this information.

What Fran was about to get the group to do was to obtain the lead that would lead them to the location of Isaac’s laboratory, That lead was the prize from the Black Gathering, and it would be difficult to obtain it without winning from the competition, since the prize was heavily guarded by all the organised crime groups in London. Cardia doesn’t understand what the Black Gathering was about, so Saint explained that the Black Gathering was a grand competition that took place at the end of the long-running event at River Thames. (And by River Thames, it referred to the very same place where Lupin brought them to play the casino and also where they’ve met Van for the very first time ^^;) 

Simply put, the Black Gathering was an airship race, and the competition would be very dangerous and difficult. Cardia doesn’t know about an airship either so Fran helpfully explained to her, that an airship was mainly made by a material called Aero Carbonium, which was also created by her father, Isaac. Van was more interested to know what Fran had meant when he said that prize from the race was a lead for them, and Fran explained that the prize for this competition was actually a posthumous collection of Isaac’s work. Alot of collectors will want to obtain them at all costs, since this collection was from the legendary Isaac Beckford. 

(Yeah, it’s contradicting since Issac is not dead yet, just missing ^^;)

The group talked abit about how these works had come into the organiser’s hands and became a prize. Then Lupin suggested that he shall just steal it. Fran warned him not to since the criminal world’s organization had decided to set aside their pride and ask for help ever since the incident of Dracula, and they’ve gotten Herlock Sholmes to guard the prize. That made Lupin give up immediately and declared that they shall enter the race and win it fair and square XD Lupin rebutted that he’s not waving the white flag when Van teased him, he just hates to face him since he’s tired of his persistence.

Since they’ve decided to enter the race, now what they’ve got to ponder was to get an actual airship to enter the race. Cardia suggested that Impey could make one, but Impey showed a difficult expression that’s he’s not able to make one from scratch without enough time or money. Cardia then suggested that they buy one since they’ve alot of money from what Lupin had brought back the last time, but apparently, that large amount of money was only enough for them to buy an average airship, which would be difficult for them to win the race with it. 

(Apparently, the race is so dangerous that driving with a shabby airship will only lead them to be shot down D: The competitors are allowed to attack one another seeing that the sponsors are members of the criminal underworld.)

In the end, Impey suggested that he can help to fix the airship to upgrade it to the point they could win the airship race, but they would need enough money to buy two mid-sized airships. Lupin volunteered to get a basic airship, which the rest of the group wondered how was he going to do that...

Lupin returned with an amazing souvenir for the group though. Cardia had gotten up and was stretching in her bedroom when she felt a vibration shaking through the entire room. She looked out of her window, and what appeared before was a large airship!

Lupin was waving at them, while Cardia ran out of her room to join Dracula and Sisi who had also came out to look at the airship. This was the first time Dracula had seen an airship up close and realised that it was way bigger than what he had expected. Dracula was actually really interested to look at the airship up close, but insisted that it was Sisi who wanted to look at it up close and went to approach the airship. Impey had tried to talk to Dracula, but got totally ignored by Dracula ^^; (Poor Impey)

Lupin finally landed and joined them, and the first thing Van asked was where Lupin had steal the airship from, since he’s worried that he might done something stupid that would tarnish their negotiation with Queen Victoria ^^; Lupin assured him not to worry since he had stolen this from someone they won’t feel guilty about. (You’ll know who he stole it from soon after XD)

Looking over at Impey, Lupin asked whether he could fix up the airship to be used for the race. Though it’s a pretty old model in Impey’s eyes, he might be able to do it depending on the budget available. Lupin assured him not to worry and just worked on the ship, since the rest of them would earn money in the meantime to gather funds for the remodeling of the airship. Everyone had their ways of gathering funds (Van - short-term body guard, Fran - selling patents for new drugs, Saint - aid with more additional funding), except for Cardia. She decided to help Impey instead, which he was more than willing to have her as an assistant. He attempted to flirt with her, but got warned by Lupin and the others instead. (Hands off Cardia, Impey~) 

As there’s not much time until the race, everyone gets to work, trying to gather as much money as they can for the remodeling. Impey and Cardia worked hard in building the parts, and she helped him to install everything in the airship’s engines. Money was not much of an issue since everyone had managed to contribute enough funds that they even fall slightly under budget, but the real problem is them running out of time to finish with the remodeling, that Cardia and Impey didn’t even dare to let down their guard to race with the time. 

When it was three days before the race, Impey and Cardia had worked till the late night. Though Impey had told Cardia to go ahead and sleep, Cardia could not sleep as she wondered that Impey must be still working at that time. She thought of an idea, and decided to go to Impey’s workshop behind the mansion after awhile.

Impey was still hard at work, and was concentrating so hard that he didn’t notice when Cardia went nearer to take a closer look at him. He finally realised Cardia’s presence when she was close to him, and asked her why had she came when he thought that she had already went to bed. 

Cardia was about to hand her the stuff she had brought, but she thought that perhaps she should not and tried to hide the item behind her. But, it was too late as Impey had already noticed it and asked her what she was hiding. Turned out that Cardia had made a late-night snack for Impey, but she felt that it was a terrible-looking sandwich and thus didn’t want to give it to Impey. She had thought that making a sandwich was easy, but when she tried to make it, she realised how difficult it was with her gloves on (and she could not just take it off unless you want the sandwich to melt ^^;). Saint had passed by and helped her to make the sandwich together somehow though~

Impey blushed and smiled happily when he realised that Cardia had made a sandwich for him, and teased Cardia whether she was doing this to get on his good side. (I thought Cardia was always on your good side Impey ^^;) Cardia doesn’t understand what he meant though, and replied that she just wanted to do something for him, seeing how hard he was working. 

(Impey is cute when he blushed like this though, aww~)

Impey decided that he shall take a break to eat this sandwich, and asked Cardia to go up onto the roof of the workshop with him so they can eat together under the stars. (It was at this point that I thought I’ve wandered into Impey’s route randomly, but I guess it was all a part of the common route XD)

Cardia was worried about the taste of the sandwich, but Impey complimented her that it was the best sandwich he ever had. As they sat under the stars, Impey remarked that looking at the stars helped him when he was feeling stressed. Cardia suddenly remembered what she had wanted to ask Impey for a long time, and since it’s rare that they’re alone together now, she decided to ask him. 

(Impey thought Cardia was going to ask him what’s his type, but Cardia ignored his attempt at flirting totally ^^;)

Cardia mentioned that she had noticed that Impey seems like he was having so much fun when he’s working with the machinery, and wondered what made him decide to become an engineer. Impey looked up to the sky, feeling nostalgic as he looked back into his past, and decided that it’s actually the steam locomotive that made him have the desire to become the engineer, though there may be other reasons that made him gradually got into making things.

He talked about his past, where he used to live in a village out in the countryside. The villagers were scared when they heard that the tracks would be laid outside the forest near their village, but Impey was curious, and decided to join some of the rebellious kids when they wanted to check out the train when they knew it was about to pass. Impey described the experience of seeing the steam train up close as a huge, monster-like mass, and his head was filled with the locomotive and he was in a daze when the other kids ran away upon seeing the train up close. He was truly amazed by the presence of the locomotive, and remarked that this was the reason why he had decided to devote himself to become an engineer. 

After talking about his past, Impey turned to Cardia and mentioned that he felt embarrassed talking about it and wondered whether he was boring Cardia with all this. 

(It may not be a good choice to get on Impey’s good side if I’m aiming for Fran’s route, but let’s not be mean this time ^^;)

Cardia replied that she doesn’t feel bored, and instead was glad to know more about Impey. Impey blushed even more, and remarked that he now felt a little embarrassed to see Cardia being so honest and straightforward about her feelings towards him. He took a step back and decided to ask Cardia to accompany him to work together for a little while longer, which Cardia happily agreed. (Maybe this is Impey’s way of wanting to get close with Cardia for real? - Without all the flirting and sweet talk I guess ^^;)

(This chapter is seriously Impey’s turn to shine~ There’s just so many moments of him blushing that I really felt that he’s cute~ Maybe I’ll go onto his route after I’m done with the first round of playthrough~ ^////^)

Finally, at the breakfast of the race, Lupin declared that it’s time for them to get to work and win this race to get their hands on Isaac’s stuff. The group started to discuss excitedly about the race, and Saint explained that they need a minimum of five members in the team to register for the race. Fran suggested that they used this morning to take airship to the racing venue and give it a test drive, when he realised that both Cardia and Impey had not said a word this morning. (And Impey kept showing this expression the whole time ^^;) 

(I honestly thought that Impey had a secret weapon or something when he said this line...) Turned out that both Impey and “me” had thought that the race was tomorrow, and thus he had yet to install the modified engine to give it a test flight by then, with Impey kneeling and bowing before the group and performing his ultimate form of apology ^^;

Fran was shocked of course, while Van doesn’t seems shocked at all and dissed that he had always knew Van would be an idiot to mess things up at this point =w=“ Lupin sighed and know that there’s much he could do now, and suggested that rest of the group head to the venue first while Impey continued to fix the airship and get it ready in time for the race. Cardia offered to stay behind and help, but Impey asked her to go ahead first and get themselves registered, since she’s required to make up the group of five people to register for the race. (Dora-chan, on the other hand, will stay and look after the mansion as always ^^;)

(This is the time that I have to be impressed by these two guys’ friendship. As much as Lupin dissed Impey alot of times, he believed in him very much too.)

(Though Van’s belief in Impey being able to make it was... quite low. And Van’s threatening words are scary D:)

When Cardia and the rest of the group arrived at the racing venue, they overheard the receptionist announcing that the race will start at noon. People were gossiping that there are alot of new teams entering the race this year, and Van and Lupin talked about how there are some suspicious-looking faces among the crowd, as they’ve recognised about half of these people here were criminals actually. 

When Cardia head to the receptionist with Fran to register for the race, the receptionist asked them to show which of the airships at the landing field belongs to their team, which obviously none of them was since Impey had not arrived yet. Fran helped to explain that the airship isn’t here yet, but the receptionist replied that she won’t be able to register their team if there’s no airship present, and requested is it possible to have the airship here by 11 o’clock. The group was shocked that the registration was closing so early, which the receptionist explained that it’s part of their regulations to close registrations one hour before the race to begin. 

Cardia offered to race back to the mansion to inform Impey about it, but the others stopped her since it would be too late for her to get back to the mansion in time. She started to get really worried, wondering if there’s any way they can contact him, but since they have no aether communication device here nor back at the mansion, they can’t get in contact in Impey at all, and thus could only wait that he would arrive in time. 

30 minutes soon passed, and the group got more anxious with the receptionist broadcasting to call for teams that had not registered to come and register as soon as possible. They started to get abit discouraged and even talked about stealing the prize if they can’t join the race as a backup, though it would be very risky to make enemies with both the major crime firms and the Yard.

(Guys, your words are not helping us to believe more in Impey TWT)

They waited for another 10 minutes, and by this time, even the receptionist urged them to show her the airship if they really want to register for the race. Fran tried to assure the receptionist that the airship will arrive soon, and turned to Lupin for reassurance, but even Lupin had started to lose faith in Impey by this point of time TWT (Though Van dissed that he’s saying this with lots of confidence =w=“)

Just when everyone was feeling down, something was flying above them and blocked out the sunlight, making them curious and looked up. Turned out that it was Impey and the airship~! (He made it in time~! TWT)

Fran quickly pointed at the airship and informed the receptionist at it, and she quickly helped them to register for the race. Now that they were registered for the race, everyone could heave a sigh of relief for now. 

(Haha, Lupin seriously changed sides too easily XD)

Cardia was curious where Lupin had gotten the airship from, and just when she asked that, he heard a man looking up and exclaiming that the airship that they’re using to participate in the race was their airship. Turned out that Lupin had stolen the airship from some sky pirates, and felt that he had done a great job since Lupin’s action helped to make Britain much safer as they have on less airship to steal others with. But Van realised that the sky pirates had entered with a more modern ship, and dissed Lupin that he should steal the better ship instead. 

The sky pirates were mad and were going to take revenge on them who had registered the airship in the race, which Cardia suggested that they lie low and not let them find out they’re the owners of the airship. But... there’s this one little idiot who went to boast their name on the airship loudly that even those who were on the ground could hear him...

(There goes our plan of lying low~)

They hurried to Impey’s side while making sure they don’t get seen by the sky pirates. Impey was proud and boasted that he had arrived at the racing venue way ahead of time, unknowing that the deadline of the registering was at 11 o’clock, so actually, he made it in the nick of time. Van “helpfully” warned him that sky pirates would be after him, which made poor Impey confused on what had he done to piss them off. 

Just then, a man approached them and complimented that their airship was wonderful. The man introduced himself as the Nemo, boasting himself as the brilliant scientist who would uncover the truths of the world someday. Nemo asked who was the one who had made the ship, which Impey mentioned that he’s the one who had given the ship a complete overhaul, and not actually make the ship from scratch. Nemo was amazed with what Impey had done nevertheless, and somehow... the two of them started to chat happily about airship and engineering...

(Yep, it’s a weird man alright. Thank you to Cardia for dissing exactly what I had in mind XD)

The rest of the group was confused on what they were talking about, which Lupin explained that it seems that the two of them were connecting on the same level which the rest of them - normal people won’t be able to understand. Fran was being awfully quiet, trying to avoid being discovered by Nemo, but he was still being found out in the end. Fran didn’t want to admit that Nemo was his acquaintance actually, since Nemo had saw him a rival back when he was in the Royal Society, which Fran had felt troubled about. 

(Yep, Nemo is just someone who would get excited on his own ^^; Even Lupin could see how annoying Nemo would be and pitied Fran ^^;)

Even though Nemo was also participating in the race and would be their rival, he warmly welcomed them to visit his ship, boasting that it would this race’s winner. Everyone declined to join him but Impey, since he was really curious about Nemo’s ship. As Impey left them, Lupin felt a bit worried, but Cardia urged them to start preparing for the race as she had already memorized everything and all the roles that each member of the group would be required to do for the race.

(Cardia being deligent gets us a praise from Van though ^^)

The group went aboard the ship, and Lupin remarked that the interior of the ship doesn’t seem any different from the first time he had gotten on the ship, since overall they didn’t remodel it as the interior doesn’t have much to do with the ship’s speed, turning and studiness. She felt that they should have made test flights and practised as a group before the race, but they’ve run out of time to do it since everyone else was busy gathering money actually. Cardia and Impey had tried to verbally explain everything to each person before hand and were relieved to know that they’ve all learned their parts now. 

Suddenly, Cardia noticed a button that stated “Danger! Do Not Touch!”, but thank goodness she left it alone even though she wondered what it is. (If there’s a option, I might get curious and press it already ^^:) She spoke through the voice tube to communicate with everyone who were already on standby at their respective stations. Lupin was at the Monitoring Station, Van is at the Weapons Station (which doesn’t have any guns since they do not need them in the race XD), and Fran and Saint were both at the Engine Room. As they were all prepared, Impey showed up and complimented that Cardia was doing well as a Captain. 

Cardia asked Impey how was Nemo’s ship, which he replied with a bitter smile that the ship was definitely a contender to win the race if what Nemo had told him was the truth when he was introducing the ship to him, Impey had also seen some really good candidates when he head over to their ship, but assured Cardia that their ship was still the best, and told her that he had named it the HMS Impey, the Princess and her Servants. (That’s a long name... and of course Lupin and the others were not happy about being treated as servants ^^;)

Now that Impey was here, Cardia left the conn to him and opened a map. Her job in the race was to take notice of the location of the ships in the race and moved the respective pawns that represented them from what she will hear from the monitoring station later on so that they’ll all be aware where they were located in the race. It’s very important for them to know their location, as they would be disqualified if they deviated from the fixed course and altitude during the race, even though the race was quite simple as it only required the ship to circle the outer limit of London and returned back to the starting point of the race.

Finally, it was time for the race to begin. The commenter of the race had distributed aether communication receivers to all participating airships so that they can communicate with one another. and the commenter will also be following all the airships at a higher altitude in order to help provide the audience with a live broadcast. With that, the race started as they soared into the sky!

Lupin announced that they had the best start as they were leading ahead of the others, which the commenter announced that too later on. (Apparently, Impey really did register the airship under that name, but the commenter felt that the name was too long and shorten it to exclude “HMS Impey” instead XD)

Suddenly, Lupin saw that there’s an incoming attack, and asked Impey to turn and escape. Impey managed to dodge the attack, but at that moment, a ship called “Purple Lightning Sky Pirates” had advanced to the second place and sent a morse code to Impey. They were planning to target Impey’s airship next which made him wonder why. (Lupin’s reply to them is not helping the situation either ^^:)

Impey tried to steer the ship to avoid all the attack, but they still ended up being hit. He called for the damage report from the various sections, and thank goodness it only the exterior that got grazed after being checked by Saint. The gas pressure and engine were all working perfectly. Impey felt that it would be no good if they continued to remain here, and decided to lead ahead from those ships, requesting Fran to set the engine all the way to the red zone. This action is pushing the engine to the maximum power, but Impey insisted that it would be alright, and the ship plunged into the cloud, and gained a significant lead in the meanwhile. 

The group thought that they would be alright, but the commenter announced that it seems like all the ships are going to cooperate to take their ship down. The airship ended up being shot in several places, causing problems in the gasbag and hull, but the group managed to save the situation by performing the respective actions required. Just then, Lupin announced that there’s another full barrage that’s going to shoot at them, demanding Impey to evade the attack. Just as Impey was trying to evade the attacks, they heard a series of explosions. Those weren’t attacks aiming at them, so the group wondered what’s the commotion about.

Turned out that it was a round of sweeping shots being fired at the ships that were attacking them. Cardia wondered if someone was trying to help them since it’s attacking the other ships, but Impey showed a grave expression and told her that it’s actually going to be their greatest enemy they’re going to face against. 

A ship soon showed up behind them, and the owner of the ship was none other than Nemo! Impey wondered how Nemo’s ship could fly much better than them when it’s already heavily armoured. Their ship got attacked next, and Cardia was thrown against a bulk head. Even though Impey was worried about her being hurt, he could not take his hands off the wheels as he needed to pilot the ship.

Damage reports soon got reported to them in a hurry. Fran notified them that the engine had been shot and one of their turbines was damaged as well, while Van brought the grave news that another of their gasbag was damaged, and they can’t afford to lose another. It had now became a one-on-one battle between their ship and Nemo’s ship, which Impey was pissed at the commenter getting excited and yelling like it’s a show when their lives are at stake here. He decided to press the switch that stated “Danger! Do Not Touch” to show the secret weapon that he had been preparing in the Weapons Station where Van was.

While Impey was gleefully talking about his secret weapon, Fran called for him for help since the engine was on fire and he doesn’t know what he should do about it. Everyone was calling for Impey for help, but there’s only one of him, so Cardia volunteered to help Impey too.

(So... What should I help Impey with? Let’s choose the repairs since that’s where Fran was located~)

Cardia volunteered to help fix the engine, but Impey decided that she shall stay and become the captain instead, since fixing the engine while in flight would be too difficult for Cardia currently. (Noooo I wanted to head down and help Fran TWT) He called for Fran and Saint to activate “Plan B” and asked them to get to the rear deck since he had installed a secret weapon there, and wanted them to use it and counterattack while he head down to fix the engine personally himself. 

(I was wondering what is the secret weapon and Plan B too. Guess Fran doesn’t know anything about that either ^^;)

Cardia took over the steering wheel when Impey let go. Though the ship was tilted for a moment, Cardia worked hard to operate it and brought it back to level. Impey reached the engine room and complimented that she’s doing fine, encouraging her not to worry and he’ll be back soon. (How assuring, Impey >////<) Even Lupin assured her that is’ alright since he would help to give her directions on how to avoid the attack. Van talking about something that they were planning to fight back, but Cardia had no idea how exactly they could do it. (So I still had no idea what’s the secret weapon till now =w=“)

After some commotion, Lupin reported that they’ve defeated the target and Nemo’s ship was falling. He was sure that they would win the race now that Impey had returned and took over the piloting of the ship, but Impey returned with bad news actually - their ship is going to crash! Even the commentator could see that the ship was about the crash, and was riled up on whether they could reach the finish line before they crash instead. Impey assured Cardia that it would be alright as she’s their victory goddess, and started with their “dramatic, dynamic, fantastic” emergency landing. Cardia smiled at Impey and told him that she believed in him, and that was all Impey need at this moment. (Aww~ That’s actually really sweet~)

In the end, they managed to land safe and sound and reached the finishing line, though the airship was completely wrecked to the point that it can’t fly anymore. And thus, Cardia and the group managed to receive a trophy and her father’s writing as the grand prize. Many people cheered for them and when things have settled down, the group gathered to have a commemorative picture taken. 

(The photographer asked Van to smile happier and he finally smiled~! ^^)

Apparently, Saint enjoyed the crash landing though Fran was almost scared to death by it XD

Cardia was staring at the collection of her Father’s work, and Impey told her that they’re finally one step closer in curing her of her poison in her. Cardia was really happy and smiled at Impey, which made him felt embarrassed and blushed instead. (Awww~ >////<) He smiled an embarrassed smile and remarked that he felt that all of his efforts till now was worth now that he had seen Cardia’s cute smile, even emphasizing that her smile was super cute.

(I really grew quite fond of Impey after this chapter, though I was already quite fond of him before I started the game actually ^////^)

The photographer complimented that Impey had a great smile as the group continued to get their picture taken, and even asked Van to be more like him. That made Van pissed since he can’t believed somebody was actually telling him to be more like Impey. (You two just can’t get along I guess ^^;) With that, the commemorative photo was taken and that’s the end of this chapter~

Could you please include Herlock Sholmes? Thank you so much!!!

I actually did a headcanon already where the guys reacted to their partners going into labor. I did not do them reacting to seeing their newborns, though, so I’ll do that one for you. I also did not include Sholmes in that ask, so the ask is being edited to include him and should be up soon. He will be in this one, too C: 

Here’s Code: Realize Guys React to Seeing Their Newborn Child! 

Arséne Lupin: When Lupin first sees Cardia holding their newborn daughter, he can’t wait for his turn, but he is patient. As soon as Cardia offers to let him hold her, he eagerly yet gently takes her from Cardia’s arms. He cannot help but whisper how much he loves her and her mother, and that he will always be there for them. He confesses that he is afraid to be a father (of letting them down) but that he will never stop trying to be good to his family. 

Abraham Van Helsing: Van his terrified when he sees his newborn son for the first time, but he feels such strong emotion that he can’t bear to look at Cardia or his child without fear of crying. Van can’t hold the baby at first; he’s too afraid that he will hurt or scare the child with his deep voice. However, Van watches the baby from his crib and vows to never let harm come to his child or Cardia. It takes him a month or two before he can hold the baby. 

Impey Barbicane: Impey has to hold himself back from snatching the baby right out of Cardia’s arms when he first sees his newborn daughter. Cardia has to constantly shush him from how loud he is being. When he upsets the baby and it cries, Impey gently rocks her and tells her how wonderful that she is. Cardia has to fight Impey over getting to hold the baby, but when she does, Impey is beside himself with joy upon seeing his family right before his eyes. 

Victor Frankenstein: When Victor first sees his son, he cries. He’s just so enraptured with his own child that he cannot stop the tears from falling. He constantly has to wipe his eyes for fear of dripping on the baby. Once he can calm himself, he constantly checks on his son to makes sure he’s not hurt and breathing correctly. Cardia has to take Victor aside and tell him everything will be all right in order to calm him. He just wants his son to be safe. 

Saint Germain: Saint Germain cannot speak when he first sees Cardia and his new daughter, so Cardia has to speak to fill the silence. She comments how she looks like the both of them combined, and she thinks it’s beautiful. She offers to let Saint G hold the baby, and when he does, he cannot stop the tears from falling. He just cannot believe that his life has become so wonderful, and he vows to himself that he will never let anything take that joy away. 

Herlock Sholmes: Sholmes has a lot of mixed feelings when he first sees his son and Cardia. The feeling of fatherhood hasn’t quite hit him yet, but the feeling protecting his family comes to him all at once, and he holds onto Cardia and his son at the same time. He says he cannot wait to teach his son all that he knows, yet Cardia tells him to enjoy the present because he will miss it eventually. Sholmes already thinks they should have more children.

Aha... So I kinda forgot that this ask was in my inbox for a few days. But hey! Now I'm getting to it! Sorry to make you wait, Anon!

Hopefully, getting the answers you seek will satisfy you.

(For anyone who doesn't know what Anon is talking about, I made this post a few days back where I shared some of my favorite characters and explained their similarities.)

Now, onto the answers.

First off, are Nacht and Morgen Faust. The people who frequent my blog are most definitely already familiar with these two. They are my ultimate blorbos. Do not separate me from them. Anyways, they're from the manga and anime series Black Clover.

They're both introduced during the Spade Invasion arc so for any anime only-s out there, they don't get that much presence. In the manga though, oh boy is there stuff happening for those two!

The lovely redhead I shared is Karma, from the otome game Cinderella Phenomenon (and the fandisc Evermore).

I had so much fun when I played his route the first time. And OOOOHHHH! His story in the fandisc! And I think it's thanks to Karma that my love for weapon wielding love interests was solidified.

The next (and only other) pair of characters from the same media are Saint Germain and Herlock Sholmés. They come from the dating sim Code Realize series (there's the original game "Guardian of Rebirth" along with two fandiscs, an anime adaptation, and a stage musical).

Their backstories are so tragic and I want only the best for them. The few moments when they're both on screen make me giddy, no joke. Also, I never thought I'd be into guys who wear top hats but then these two exist!

The next character, Paschalia, is from the otome game Radiant Tale (which had its fandisc [Radiant Tale Fanfare] released in English just this summer!).

I binged his route in one night and he's changed my brain chemistry~! I'm honestly putting off replaying his route for the good ending because I want to forget as much as possible and relive his story as fresh as I can.

The next character I shared was Kageyuki Shiraishi, from the otome game Collar x Malice.

He's such a funny little guy with his love of cats and inability to understand basic human decency. He's also very sad and his Tragic Love End has art that punched me in the gut, shook me down for cash, and then lovingly kissed me on the head before walking off.

Lucas Proust from Virche Evermore: Error Salvation. (Also, not to brag but I pre-ordered the fandisc Epic Lycoris which I'm very much looking forward to this autumn.)

He literally gets done so dirty by the writers of the game. I want to fix his situation but I also want to see him continue to suffer because his misery is kinda beautiful.

Blond #3 is the lovely Shion Mayuzumi from Variable Barricade.

Chronic kept man syndrome. Former model. Gaslighting king (I don't even know how much I'm exaggerating by saying that). Honestly, I want to indulge his laziness. He makes it so tempting...

Bringing in style from the Kyoho era is Kinji from the game Winter's Wish: Spirits of Edo.

It's actually been a while since I've played Winter's Wish and Kinji's route specifically since I'm trying to complete, like, five games at once. But I do remember kicking my feet and giggling at the fluffy romance scenes.

Next there's Orlok from the games Piofiore: Fated Memories and Piofiore: Episodio 1926.

He's such an adorable assassin! And he kills for the sake of the church he belongs to! Don't worry, he gets better. He's the love interest that gets Fuegoleon-ed in his good ending.

And last but not least is Il Fado de Rie from Cafe Enchanté.

A literal angel of a man. So beautiful and divine and helpless and clueless. Also, very adorable that he has a love for dating sims while being a dating sim love interest.

Day 11 Favorite Male Japanese Voice Actor?

Not going lie its a toss up between the following guys. I know otome and anime are not the same however I need to add the voices I love from both since alot of my games have anime's as well as games not to mention my otometober challenge mentions nothing about voice actors. To me these lines blur alot and there are some damn sexy voices I will never forget that fall on this list. Only the voice of Ikki do I prefer both the japanese and english actors voices the rest its all the japanes voices I prefer.

Daisuke Hirakawa - Saint Germain Code Realize (Both Anime/Game)

This guys laugh was so mesmerizing that I got to a point I could turn subtitles off or just lay listening to this man talk even if I had no clue what he was saying. Also the way this man acts when the scenes where it makes me break if this was any other voice actor I do not think it would be portrayed better with so much raw emotion.

2. Umehara Yuuichirou - Tieka Ichijoji Magic Kyun! Renaissance (Both)

What can I say once you have heard this man sing, he will have you mesmerized how rich and amazing his voice sounds. Like he is ok talking but man sing to me any day I would never complain. I find myself sometimes with his songs on repeat just to hear him.

3. Kenji Akabane - Misyr Rex - Cafe Enchante (Game)

This guy has the cutest laugh, I could listen to him laugh all day. I like his voice when he talks as well but still cutest laugh for sure and always makes me smile no matter what he says.

4. Showtaro Morikubo - Impey Barbicane Code Realize (both)

The english actor annoys me but the japanese actor I love hearing him talk and how he says princess to cardia like I can truly feel this voice actor the emotion and enthusiasm he puts into it. Honestly he is a big part of why I love Impey.

5. Kazuya Murakami - Herlock Sholmes - Code Realize (Both)

This man could read me to sleep or wake me up in the dawn with the sound of his voice, I would never complain. Its not hard to see why Cardia waking from her slumber to hear his voice wasn't the best sound she had heard in the year she slept.

6. Takahiro Sakurai - Kyouya Sata Wolf Girl & Black Prince (anime)

The tone of his voice is surprisingly relaxing for the fact I only know him as Kyouya yet I could see spending every day listening to this man read the phone book.

7. Kishō Taniyama/Blake Shepard - Ikki Amnesia (Game Series/Anime)

I actually like both of these voice actors but the Kisho's is better probably because its the voice I fell in love with Ikki having. Its the perfect tone, the perfect pitch and damn it just makes Ikki even hotter.

Here’s What Kind of Book the Code: Realize Guys Would Write! 

Arséne Lupin: Lupin would write novels about his own personal fantasies: a dashing gentleman thief who wins the heart of a beautiful princess named Cardia. They would be full of action-packed heists, drama and romance. 

Abraham Van Helsing: I think Van would write auto-biographical novels about what he’s been through and how he’s dealt with the pain of losing his family and the secrets of Twilight. He wouldn’t share them or publish them, though. 

Impey Barbicane: Impey would write books about engineering, but he’d also write fiction about what life is like on the moon and the vastness of space exploration. He’d be very proud of it despite his childlike writing style. 

Victor Frankenstein: Alchemy books, most likely. Victor would consider writing fiction, but he’d be too nervous to approach it. He would write about the processes behind experiments and the dangers of Zicterium. 

Saint Germain: Saint G’s written a lot of books, but he keeps writing them. About all subjects, but sometimes he dabbles into fiction. Mostly tragedies about the super wealthy, but they become more romantic after he meets Cardia. 

Delly: Delly writes books about how amazing vampires are, both non-fiction and fiction. He’d like to publish a tell all about what happened to the Vampires, but he’d also want to write about a vampire hero who saves humans. 

Herlock Sholmes: Sholmes mostly writes auto-biographical works under a pseudonym. They are about a detective who solves a myriad of crimes in London, and they are quite popular novels. His fake name? A. C. Doyle.

Saint Germain: Saint G’s channel would be videos of his journeys through London and everything he sees and does. He’d help random strangers and teach his viewers about the history behind London and it’s people. 

Herlock Sholmes: Shlomes’ channel would be an episodic one where he would help random viewers who submitted their names by solving mysteries that burden their daily lives. He’d also Vlog by telling stories about his adventures. 

Cardia: Cardia’s YouTube channel would be a Vlog about her own personal experiences as well as her adventures with the rest of the Lupin gang. Sometimes she’d model new clothes she’s gifted and/or buys.

Code: Realize Episode 5 Review!

We apologize for the delay; here’s the review of episode 5 of the C:R anime! We hope you enjoy it and are still enjoying the anime as a whole. Please feel free to discuss the anime with us, we love to talk! <3

I'm a bit on the fence with Episode 5. While I really enjoyed seeing a lot of Victor's route animated, I'm also disappointed by how much they slashed out of his route. Realistically, I know that wanting to keep the majority of it is a bit unreasonable. I just loved the story in Victor's route so much, and that final showdown with Victoria, Leonhardt, Cardia and Victor that it just ended up depressing me not getting to see it animated. 

Despite this, I think that they didn't do a bad job at all working Victor's story into the anime without going into his actual route. Most of the scenes from the common route were the same, save for a couple differences. I liked that Cardia was still played an active role as well. WE ACTUALLY GET TO SEE CARDIA FIGHT THANK CHRIST. Hopefully, they will continue to let her grow as a character. It'll be hard to see during the anime, but I still think that they can do it. 

Victor is in top form in this episode too. He's animated well, and I'm really glad that they kept the scene where he flashbacks to seeing all the dead vampires. That was such an emotional scene, so they honestly couldn't have not put it in. I'm also glad they kept the scene where he wakes up from the nightmare; it reinforces how much Victor's decisions really haunt him. 

I'm also liking how they're handling Victoria in the anime. She seems much more involved than she was in the original game, and this is likely because of her early intro as well as the scenes of her talking to Finis and Herlock Sholmes. Victoria is one of my favorite side characters, so I'm surprised and pleased that they are giving her the attention she deserves. I'm curious as to how she will continue to play a part in the anime, and how much will be similar to Lupin's actual route. 

Yet again I find myself frustrated by Saint G's lack of presence in the anime. I'm certain that they are doing this to make the revelations about his character more impactful to those that have not watched the game. However, it is most certainly frustrating for those who love Saint Germain and/or have played the game. Will they keep in Saint Germain's initial killing of Finis? How much of his route will be in the game? Only time will tell I suppose. 

I'm very nervous about this next episode for multiple reasons: The airship race is amazing, how will they handle Nemo, what are they gonna do with Impey's backstory? Impey is my love, so I'm crossing my fingers but also trying to lower my expectations. Treat my Bimpycane right, anime! Until next time!

Episode 5 was...interesting. My feelings about it were all over the place, haha. On one hand, I’m extremely happy that Fran got the air-time he deserved. He’s been somewhat in the background for the first few episodes, so I’m glad to see him be front and center for once. Anyone who hasn’t played the game can somewhat see why we’re SO OBSESSED WITH FRAN. He’s too cute. 

I also like how they changed Fran’s route. It would have been impossible to add everything from his route, and it’s a nice surprise to see how things are changed. They added in a unique interaction between Cardia and Fran which made their relationship deepen in my opinion. As for the final showdown with the tree and the Zicterium, I feel that the entire thing is too closely tied to Cardia ending up with Fran. It would have been impossible to compile it all into one or two episodes and still have Cardia end up with Lupin (as the anime is definitely implying). 

ALSO, CAN WE SPARE A MOMENT TO TALK ABOUT HOW BEAUTIFUL FRAN IS THIS EPISODE!? Fran has always been pretty and handsome and all those adjectives, but he’s SO PRETTY. His animations were flawless this episode and I really hope they keep up the good work! 

On the other hand....I REALLY love how they’re handling side/minor characters like Queen Victoria, Leonhardt, and Sholmes. They’re more active in the story and are actually making an impact instead of being simple obstacles that the Lupin Gang thoughtlessly swat aside. Queen Victoria is becoming a bigger character which makes me REALLY HAPPY since I shipped Victoria and Leonhardt really hard in the game. To see the both of them take the center stage is phenomenal and I can’t wait to see more of them.

As for my thoughts for the next episode: I’m excited to see the airship race and Nemo. Nemo was a character that I feel the game dropped the ball on in terms of his characterization. I want to see more of his descent into madness in the anime and I really hope he takes center stage like Victoria and Leonhardt have. Either way, I have high hopes! 

As for Saint-G, I guess we won’t see much of him until his actual episode. So there’s that, at least.
