Together Again
Tumblr media
13th Doctor x Wife!Reader
Y/n - Your Name
H/c - Hair Color
Y/n's eyes flutter open. With a strong intake of breath she sits up and looks around. The last thing she remembers is the explosion and Bill bringing her back to the Tardis, before she passed out. Y/n is a different form of a time lord.
She is a healer. Meaning the she can heal her body and anyone else. Therefore she doesn't die and can stop people from dying. She grew up with the Doctor and they had many adventures together. Eventually those adventures caused love to blossom between the two.
Y/n has been through every regeneration. Every new face. Of course this never bothered her. She has loved each new doctor because she knows deep down that her doctor will never change. Now as she sits on the floor of the Tardis, Y/n can't help but wonder where her doctor is. Why the Tardis seems to not be stabilizing.
Sighing, the h/c woman stands, grabbing her side in the process in pain. She slowly walks to the console before heavily leaning on it. "Where are we?" Y/n wonders loudly. In return the Tardis gives a low groan. This causes the woman to scoff and roll her eyes. "I do not need attitude from you" Y/n sighs as she sits down on the floor and lays her head against the console.
Y/n sits there running her glowing hand over her side trying to heal her broken ribs as much as she can. Definitely going to take longer than that to heal. As she does so, y/n tries to figure out how she is going to find the doctor and if she can get the Tardis to stabilize.
Y/n eyes become to heavy for her to keep them open. Slowly she closes her eyes as she lets sleep consume her.
Hours later the doors to the Tardis open slowly. The doctor steps in slowly looking around. "You've redecorated" the doctor states with a soft smile. Just then she notices a figure laying on the floor.
Gasping, the doctor runs over to the figure and lifts her up into her arms. "Y/n" she says softly. As gently as she can, the doctor shakes the woman in her arms. Steadily, Y/n's eyes open. After registering who was holding her, y/n breaks into the biggest smile. "Y/n" the doctor sighs out. "Doctor" y/n smiles.
Quickly, y/n wraps her arms around the doctors neck and let's a few tears fall. "I thought I lost you again" y/n whispers. "Who? Me? Course not. It's going to take a lot more than that to be ride of me" the doctor states causing the other woman to laugh.
Just then someone clearing their throat grabs the attention of the two women on the floor. "Oh! Right!" the doctor stands up, pulling y/n with her. "Welcome to the Tardis fam!" the doctor smiles. "Care to introduce us doctor?" Ryan questions.
"Oh right! Sorry bout that! Fam, this is Y/n, my wife. Y/n this is the fam! Ryan, Yaz, and Graham" the doctor introduces everyone. "It's lovely to meet you all. Hopefully the doctor wasn't to much trouble" Y/n smiles at them all.
"Sorry... You have a space ship...And a wife??" Graham questions with wide eyes. "It's also a time machine" Y/n adds as the doctor wraps an arm around her wife. "Right that makes sense. But you're married? And you're the Y/n the doctor kept talking about?" Yaz asks with a smile.
"That would be me/that would be her" the doctor and Y/n answer at the same time. "Right how about we get you lot home" the doctor walks over and starts up the Tardis. A little later as everyone has settled in, Y/n was standing looking at the readings on the Tardis when she feels a set of arms wrap around her.
"I was so worried. Last I saw you, well you were on the ground barley breathing" the doctor whispers softly. Y/n turns around and looks up into the doctors eyes. "Well now I am here and so are you. Neither of us is going anywhere. Together again" Y/n smiles as she leans in and kisses the doctor.
"I love you," the doctor smiles. “I love you to the moon and to Saturn," Y/n smiles. The doctor grabs Y/n's hand and pulls her off down the hallway of the Tardis.

The TARDIS Stays Blue...
This song is a tribute to Doctor Who and the Poem of @transcendantalismsm on tumblr & @LunarOverClock on Reddit...
(Verse) Rose went away, so the Doctor is blue,
Ask Donna again, “Doctor Who?”
Once she forgot, now her memories flow,
With a new Doc, she’s ready to grow.
 (Chorus)
From the ashes of Gallifrey, the Doctor’s tears flow,
A world of lost futures, where no one may go.
Broken but relentless, the Doctor’s hearts mend,
In each new adventure, find hope to defend.
 (Verse)
Jack lives forever, but watches them fall,
An immortal soul meant to outlast them all.
Martha walked strong, but love slipped away,
A healer left aching in the Doctor's sway.
(Chorus) From the ashes of Gallifrey, the Doctor’s tears flow,
A world of lost futures, where no one may go.
Broken but relentless, the Doctor’s hearts mend,
In each new adventure, find hope to defend.
 (Verse)
River now chants in a library - no spoilers,
As time moves forward, the Doc seeks new joiners.
Nardole, the watcher - no glory to claim,
His past full of loss, he bears no blame.
 (Chorus Variation)
From the ashes of Gallifrey, the Doctor’s tears flow,
A world of lost futures, where no one may go.
Broken but relentless, the Doctor’s hearts mend,
In each new adventure, find hope to defend.
 (Verse)
Amy and Rory, said goodbye in a blink,
Together forever, yet away from all things.
Clara and Bill, their hearts full of grace,
Both are now lost in the vast cosmic space.
(Chorus Variation)
From the ashes of Gallifrey, the Doctor’s tears flow,
A world of lost futures, where no one may go.
Broken but relentless, the Doctor’s hearts mend,
In each new adventure, find hope to defend.
 (Chorus
From the ashes of Gallifrey, the Doctor’s tears flow,
A world of lost futures, where no one may go.
Broken but relentless, the Doctor’s hearts mend,
In each new adventure, find hope to defend.
 (Verse)
Graham and Ryan chose a life back on Earth,
But adventure's fire still stirs from their birth.
Yaz stood firm, through the storms of the fam,
Now Ruby steps up in search of her mom.
(Bridge)
Through time and space, the echoes remain,
Each face a reminder of the joy and the pain.
The universe calls, the Doctor can’t stay,
But the TARDIS will love him every day.
 (Chorus Variation)
From the ashes of Gallifrey, the Doctor’s tears flow,
A world of lost futures, where no one may go.
Broken but relentless, the Doctor’s hearts mend,
In each new adventure, find hope to defend.
 (Instrumental Interlude)
 (Outro)
So question again why the TARDIS is blue,
It's seen reunions, losses, love true...
The time lord's new faces,
Traveling through whimey places.
With his hearts torn in two,
The TARDIS stays blue.
 (Chorus)
From the ashes of Gallifrey, the Doctor’s tears flow,
A world of lost futures, where no one may go.
Broken but relentless, the Doctor’s hearts mend,
In each new adventure, find hope to defend.
 (Outro2)
So question again why the TARDIS is blue,
It's seen reunions, losses, love true...
The time lord's new faces,
Traveling through whimey places.
With his hearts torn in two,
Will the TARDIS stay blue?
 (Instrumental Ending)

I just ran across this reading, and it's all very painful but rings rather true, considering when and where Tegan grew up. she's about ten years older than me, and I managed not to learn about women loving women until college.
if you lived in a rural area or a conservative community or a small town, it was very easy not to meet anyone who was out of the closet. You might hear "gay" thrown around as an insult, but it seemed to mean "effeminate man," tapping into attitudes about gender norms. I didn't realize it was sexual.
I was probably a little more naïve than most, but Tegan's background growing up on a cattle station means she must've been equally isolated before college in Brisbane ( that's from audio dramas continuity, but the pilot's license reference seems to fit)
Splicing the latest minisode onto your headcanon, I think I could tie up minor contradictions …
Speaking of the audio dramas, almost as soon as they find Nyssa again 50 years later in her own timeline, (a whole arc crammed between Enlightenment and King's Demons because Mark was disappointed he never got to act with Sarah)—
the Mara bubbles back up within 2 episodes of Nyssa's return, and Tegan starts flirting with her while possessed. (It's only one scene, but it's a heck of a story. Cradle of the Snake. Highly recommended.) They keep trying to protect each other from the Mara. And there's lovely scattered angsty moments in future stories, too.
During one of those good angsty scenes when Nyssa's not sure she's going to survive, she confides to Tegan about her husband and children, asking her to take a message to them [established in audios recorded by Peter and Sarah during the decade before Janet caved and agreed to reprise Tegan in audios]. So Tegan is up against more lost opportunities, both because Nyssa's married and because there's now a significant age gap between them.
Although I still think the marriage thing wouldn't have been insurmountable if the Doctor weren't such a crap pilot — in an echo of Heathrow — and had returned Nyssa home when she asked. Nyssa's very sensible and sweet husband might've welcomed Tegan. Not that Big Finish, Janet or Sarah would ever have thought of a polycule. and anyway, the age gap would still be awkward.
But Nyssa is one of Big finish's favorite punching bags, since Sarah was the first companion to sign on and has recorded more audios than almost anybody, so she was never going to have a happily ever after. Nyssa does indeed get lost in another universe doing something heroic, and the Doctor and Tegan don't know if she's alive or dead. Small wonder that Tegan leaves a few serials after that audio arc rejoins TV continuity, saying it's no fun anymore.
Which joins back up with your sad read of Tegan's life.
To me, your throughline sounds like she tried to get on with life as Nyssa did, except she's not Nyssa. For Nyssa, children and family were precious, because she lost both parents and wanted to perpetuate life and Traken. Her career was partly motivated by what happened to Traken and her father — saving lives to make up for all those lives the Master snuffed out with her father's hands.
Tegan had her own strong sense of justice — even while stranded and scared on Logopolis, she was pointing out the place looked like a sweatshop with exploited workers — but not Nyssa's personal need to undo the Master's genocide, her Trakenite instincts towards nurture and nature, or the "Keep calm and carry on" 'stoicism that Nyssa had demonstrated when they first met. Tegan channelled anger instead, making her more a problem solver and buttinsky than a space mom and a healer.
And so Tegan hammers out her own path, until finally late her own life she meets the Doctor again, sees something of herself in Yaz, and is reminded of lost chances forty years ago. She knows damn well what that feels like.
And then Tegan's mind starts playing tricks on her. Age gap? Not any more. Husband? Not really. Nyssa's shut away from her former life as surely as if a Weeping Angel had taken her. If only there were some way to reach her.
Her Doctor couldn't, but this Doctor's much older too, more experienced, for all that she looked to be just as daft as the old blondie. Maybe the idiot could actually pull it off now. There wasn't time to ask, but next time she'll ask— no, demand— they make another attempt to find Nyssa.
(And who knows, maybe a future Doctor does so, and the Sarah Jane story happens after that.)
But for now, Tegan falls asleep, exhausted after Yaz drops her off, and the Mara picks up that thought, picks out her last clear memory of Nyssa, slyly suggests she's still on Terminus (so easy to reach, and such a useful home base for a parasite) and not dead or lost or married, and preys on hope.
Yes?
Tegan Jovanka: the mara, the eternals and internalised homophobia
This post will not be discussing every bit of evidence for tyssa, this will be focused more on my interpretations of episodes (mainly snakedance, mawdryn undead, terminus and enlightenment) in the context of Tegan being a lesbian. If you want me to expand any further on anything please just ask, i'm trying to keep this a bit more streamlined.
Snakedance - what does the mara prey on again?
The mara is meant to be a stand in for shame. What has Tegan got to be ashamed of? If you think that shame is internalised homophobia it fits perfectly. The mara (while possessing Tegan) is intrinsically sexualised, this was discussed in the kinda making of documentary and can just be seen in the serial (its not particularly well hidden subtext). The mara has been stated many times to function by forcing people's subconscious desires to the surface. And who does Tegan go running for in snakedance? Nyssa. This is seen more outwardly in the big finish audio “cradle of the snake” in which the mara becomes obsessed with Nyssa (for no other reason than it being influenced by Tegan) and , possessed, Tegan pushes Nyssa up against a wall and starts going on about how much fun they could have together if she stayed. Going back to snakedance though, the maras possession of Tegan seems completely linked to Nyssa. For example, “Look at me” is a constant theme throughout the episode. The mara (shame) must have people look at it to possess them, this links to the fact that one must confront their shame in order to get over it but if not done probably it will consume them. The mara is the only character to say this throughout the serial, except one other person. Guess who? Nyssa. After Tegan first sees the mara in the crystal ball and becomes partially possessed she goes running to Nyssa. This interaction then follows:
Nyssa: Tegan, what's the matter with you? What's been going on? Tegan, look at me.
Tegan: Nyssa, help me. Help me. I made it appear.
Nyssa: What?
Tegan: You fool. Leave me alone. Just leave me alone.
There's many interesting parts to pick out here. First the “what's been going on?”, “been” suggests that somethings been wrong for a while, that Tegans has been acting weird towards her for some time. Then the “look at me”, this is the first time it is used in the serial, my thoughts is that the mara uses this after to taunt Tegan. This is also what gets Tegan to snap out of being possessed for a second. She has looked at Nyssa (confronted her shame) to be free of the mara. But Tegan just can’t do it. She goes back into mara mode and the first thing she does is to get Nyssa to stop touching her, forceable pushing her off. The repetition of “leave me alone” is also interesting, with “just” as well. The mara is pushing out Tegans internalised homophobia, the shame in her thinking that if Nyssa “just leaves her alone” all will be ok.
Moving on from this, we then see the problems within Nyssa and Tegan's relationship start to show. Nyssa is extremely protective of Tegan, shouting at the doctor to leave her alone when he's pushing Tegan to talk about the Mara at the beginning. Both of them deal with their shame (survivors guilt and internalised homophobia) by ignoring it. But this isn’t how you deal with shame. Both Tegan and Nyssa encourage each other's unhealthy coping mechanisms and this leads us to Mawdryn undead.
Mawdryn undead - How shame destroys a relationship
We begin Mawdryn undead with discussion of the Mara:
Tegan: Doctor? I am free of the Mara, aren't I?
Doctor: Tegan, Tegan, Tegan.
Tegan: I'm scared.
Doctor: There isn't any need to be.
Tegan: I'm still having terrible dreams.
Tegan: The feelings of hate. Doctor, I couldn't go through it again.
Doctor: Well, you're completely free of it now, Tegan. For you, the Mara is dead forever.
Nyssa: For all of us, I hope.
This clearly shows that Tegan is not free of the Mara, she is still swamped in shame. She didn’t confront her shame so it's still here. Now another interesting addition is Nyssa saying that the mara is dead “for all of us”, this shows that the mara deeply affected her too as it affected her relationship with Tegan. Then we get onto:
Tegan: Can you take me back to Earth?
Nyssa: You want to leave us?
Tegan: I want to rest. I want to be surrounded by familiar things.
Nyssa: You'll forget the Mara, Tegan. It won't always be as painful as it is now.
To escape the mara Tegan thinks she needs to get away from Nyssa, Nyssa encapsulates all her shame. Perhaps she has never clocked onto her feelings towards women before coming on to the TARDIS, maybe she thinks that this is all Nyssa's fault. That Nyssa has confused her, all very familiar feelings for a person first coming to terms with their sexuality. Nyssa isn’t familiar and that scares Tegan to death. Nyssa sees her encouraging of Tegan to ignore the mara backfiring on her. She wants Tegan to ignore the shame she feels about being with Nyssa but for Tegan, Nyssa and her shame are one in the same. Nyssa is so desperate for Tegan to stay that she still pushes this unhealthy coping mechanism because she doesn’t know what else to do.
The most heartbreaking thing about Mawdryn undead is how much Nyssa and Tegan obviously care for eachother, they love each other so much but Tegan just can’t deal with it anymore. Tegan starts being cold to Nyssa and starts snapping at her (something we have never seen before). Tegan is so scared to love Nyssa. She takes all the shame out on her, the events of snakedance brought all of this back to the surface.
Terminus - love will tear us apart
Nyssa can’t deal with it anymore. She can’t deal with Tegan taking her shame out on her. They both love eachother so much but they are bad for each other, so Nyssa decides she has to leave. Nyssa departure is the only companion departure (well up to yaz and dan in potd) that is focused on a companion leaving another companion rather than the doctor. I feel this tv tropes page (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/HoYay/DoctorWho) explains the departure the best so I'll quote from that. “Despite knowing the Doctor longer and having spent more time with him — all those adventures while Tegan was on Earth — Nyssa is able to remain calm and collected while saying goodbye to him, asking him politely not to be upset and to let her leave in good faith, to part as friends. Then she has to say goodbye to Tegan and breaks down sobbing into her chest. Tegan's horrified head-shaking in the background when Nyssa tries to tell her that she's chosen to stay on Terminus, and her desperation when she asks the Doctor not to let Nyssa stay on Terminus to die, and her growing realisation that Nyssa's really not coming with them. By the time Nyssa asks them to stop trying to convince her so they can part as friends, loud angry defiant Tegan Jovanka can barely manage to whisper "...Please, Nyssa...?" And of course, their tearful goodbye.
Tegan: She'll die here.
Nyssa: [voice breaking] Not easily, Tegan. Like you, I'm indestructible.”
Tegan has pushed Nyssa away, and she can’t handle it.
Enlightenment - i don’t know how to stop loving you
The usually loud and confident Tegan is now left timid and simply after Nyssas departure. This character change stays till she leaves, she recovers a bit but she is never the same as she was. She has gotten rid of the shame that stared her in the face everyday but shes still the same, shes still a lesbian and we see this perfectly demonstrated in enlightenment.
The Marriner works as an extended metaphor for Tegans compulsory heterosexuality. This man who is obsessed with her, well rather than with her more the concept of her. Tegan shows no interest in him though; she's disgusted with any of his advances. But he just keeps following her around, begging to have access to her mind.
OFFICER: You're right. Take the woman to Mister Marriner.
Tegan: No!
Heterosexuality is forced on Tegan throughout the serial.
Marriner: I hope you'll forgive me for saying so, but I've never experienced such a mind as yours before.
Tegan: And you never will again.
Marriner: I find it such a fascinating place. Full of niches. Life. It fascinates me. What are you doing?
Tegan: Work it out for yourself.
Marriner: You've killed your thoughts. You're hiding them from me.
Tegan: And that's the way it will remain until I find out exactly what's going on here.
Marriner: Fascinating. I had no idea Ephemerals could be so entertaining.
To get slightly sidetracked, the whole metaphor of the Marriner seems to depict the entitlement of men. Maybe the metaphor with the eternals on that ship in general. Men feed off women, they have been socialised to feel entitled to women in every single way, both sexually and socially. Men are made to view women as objects made for them to play with just how the eternals see ephemerals as playthings. Their life experiences fascinate them but only to the point in which it is pleasurable for them. Ephemerals (women) don’t matter to them unless they are fulfilling their desires.
Were presented with the metaphor of drink as accepting advances:
Tegan: I want to die.
Marriner: Drink this.
Tegan: What is it?
Marriner: A mixture.
(Tegan sniffs the glass and recoils.)
Tegan: Rum?
Marriner: Drink it.
Tegan: No, thanks.
Marriner: It'll make you feel much better.
Tegan: Really? Then drink it yourself.
Marriner: It's quite safe.
(Marriner takes a sip.)
Marriner: Drink it. It'll make you feel much better.
(Tegan drinks.)
Tegan does not want to drink and when she's eventually coerced into it she looks disgusted, she hates it. Though later, when she's become intoxicated she says “that was a marvellous drink”, though we’ve seen it obviously wasn’t. This shows how pervasive compulsory heterosexuality is and how it can trick people into believing they enjoyed something they hated. Now compare this to later with Captain Wrack:
Tegan: Who's that?
Marriner: Your host, Captain Wrack.
Tegan: She's beautiful.
Doctor: She's also an Eternal. Tegan.
(The Doctor takes Tegan's champagne glass before she can take a sip.)
Tegan outrightly calls another woman beautiful and then goes for a drink. Not calling the doctor homophobic but if we look at him as a stand in for society views in this metaphor, he takes the drink off her. He's trying to stop her from pursuing Wrack. Tegan then allows herself to be taken away from the party into a separate room by Wrack… you take from that what you will. She is defying the heterosexuality pushed onto her and also trying to get over Nyssa. For the first time in the serial Tegan seems slightly happy and confident. But the Marriner doesn’t leave her alone, he wants him to go away but he doesn’t. She only gets away from him because the TARDIS leaves at the end of the story but the real compulsory heterosexuality doesn’t go away.
Power of the doctor - all of my heroes die all alone
Now after all of this I'm going to fit potd into my thoughts about Tegans arc. Just because I'm fitting the events of potd into it doesn’t mean I like what was done nor do I agree with the retconning. Though i think it fits in interestingly, i believe we should move on from Lesbian relationships being doomed, it isn’t the 80s anymore.
Tegan came back from the TARDIS to 1980s Australian, internalised homophobia and compulsory heterosexuality never left her. Without the safe space of the TARDIS she now had to contest with real world homophobia and she couldn’t. She went through 2 husbands, trying to deny who she really was. She has an adopted son because she couldn’t stand her husbands going near her. She lives a sad, miserable life like the master says because she never could beat the mara. It never left, only Nyssa did. She leaves the seat next to her at the companion support group empty, in desperate hope that Nyssa might come back and sit in it. Tegan's story shows us what happens when we don’t deal with our shame, if you can’t accept who you are you’ll only lose those who you care about and the shame won’t leave with them. The shame will stay and fester and you’ll be alone.

Crafter to Fly
Today's story was brought to you by Brandon! Thank you so much for all your support, darling! It really does mean the world to me!
Prompt: Star Light Star Bright
+++
Nobody was supposed to be touching the Wonder.
It wasn’t that Tallulah was territorial about the ship, although she was, it was that the ship was in a profound state of deconstruction, and more than half of it was held together by unfinished stardust. It was something of a death trap for anyone who wasn’t already a starworker, and she didn’t want some poor engineer to get hurt.
All things considered, however, she thought they would probably come out ahead. There were smudges of orange stardust on parts of the engine. Tiny and barely-there, they felt like a desert, like deep, dangerous water, like the heat of a place where the earth was old and new at the same time.
But the desert was not Yaz’s, the water was not Greta’s, and none of them knew the heat of new, bubbling stone.
“Our Crafter has woken,” she told the others when they met for breakfast. “I haven’t seen her. She’s fast and clever, and good at not being caught.”
“How do you know it’s her?” Rema had asked curiously. As the newest of their family, the Flame was still coming into her power. “I didn’t feel her.”
‘None of us did. I wonder if she’s trying to hide,” Li Hua mused. She let green stardust scales ripple over her skin, and then blew them off in the form of pear blossoms. As always, she wore a crown of flowers, with just the hint of dragon horns woven in. “It’s even possible that she doesn’t know what she is.”
“I think we may have to set a trap for her,” Greta said mischievously with the cleverness of Thought and Memory in her eyes like a glittering blue promise. “Is she the one who fixed the engines? Rema, didn’t you say it was odd?”
“I thought maybe Tallulah and Yaz did it,” Rema had told them. “The stardust was orange like lava and sunset. I figured you did it together.”
“Not us,” Yaz said, and sat back to think. “Alright, sisters. Time to catch our Crafter. What do we know about her?”
+
It took two days of planning and a cunningly-designed bait in the form of a difficult engineering problem. Yaz and Rema made themselves conspicuous among the engineers, loudly complaining of the impossible problem, and complaining of their own inability. Most of the help they received was useful, but none of it was of the starlight. Their Crafter was either smart enough to see their trap for what it was, or she wasn’t there to hear about it.
Tallulah followed the smudges, barely-there against the yellow-gold of her own and Yaz’s deep red. They glimmered orange, blended so seamlessly into the ship’s metal that it took all her skill to find it, but when she did, she couldn’t help but be impressed.
Here and there were masterwork changes, most often tiny and subtle, but flawless. Their Crafter knew her work well. Tallulah couldn’t wait to meet her.
In the end, it was an accident on all parts that led to the capture of their Crafter.
Tallulah had just about given up on their trap, and was instead on top of the ship with a sketchbook in her hands. Grandmother said it was always good to send time with a new canoe, to let it learn your spirit. The Wonderwas rather bigger than the canoes of home, but Tallulah thought the same principles applied. After all, the Wonderwould carry them to the stars. The least she could do was share company with their ship.
Greta, another daughter of a seagoing people, was asleep on the metal panels with her head in Li Hua’s lap as their Healer read, a data padd balanced on their Sailor’s forehead. Yaz wasawake, but she was weaving Rema’s hair into a thick braid, decorated by long golden chains and deep purple ribbons.
At the faint sound of footsteps, Tallulah sat up, but held her finger to her lips to keep her sisters from rousing too quickly. Soon after, there was a soft clink of metal, and the Wondershook with the weight of someone moving about inside her unfinished bulk.
Their Crafter could never resist the challenge of a difficult problem and a ship that was meant to take her into the sky.
Together, Tallulah stood with her sisters. One by one, they leapt down from the Wonder’s hull, carried by the wings of their legends, to land on the hanger floor. The faintest light came from within their ship, the pale orange of the small hand-lights the engineers used.
“No wonder she doesn’t know who she is,” Yaz realized in a whisper. “Look at the light. She can’t see her own starlight.”
“We should be grateful, it let us find her,” Li Hua whispered back. She linked hands with Yaz, and together their red-green light crept over the ship. “Now to make sure she does not flee us before we’ve time to learn her name.”
From somewhere inside the ship, there was a squawk of alarm as their Crafter suddenly realized she wasn’t alone. Soon after, there was the crash of someone dropping what sounded like most of a tool bag. Soon after that, there was a great deal of what could only be profanity, although Tallulah didn’t know the language.
“You can come out, sister,” Li Hua called into the gloom. “Dear one, you’re not in any trouble.”
There was another rattle from inside the ship, but after a minute, punctuated by another crash and the sound of someone getting tangled in the dangling wires, their Crafter emerged.
She was tall, with inky dark skin and brightly-colored glass beads in her tightly-braided hair. She wore a bright set of engineer’s coveralls, and carried a heavy bag of tools in one hand.
Tallulah didn’t think she noticed the deep orange stardust that lingered on the Wonder whenever their sister let her fingers touch the ship.
“I’m sorry, it was just so pretty,” she said before Tallulah or any of their other sisters could speak. “And I heard- I heard you were having problems with the accelerator, and I know how to fix that if you just give me a little time and maybe if you don’t report me to Commander Oko?”
“Oh, sweet sister,” Yaz started to laugh in the middle of the frantic sentence and stepped forward to bring the young engineer into their group. “There will be a report to Oko, but I think it will please you. After all, our Crafter should have full reach over our ship, should she not?”
“Wait,” the engineer said, and pulled away. She didn’t get far before Li Hua was there with a reassuring smile. “You think I’m like you? No way. I don’t have any of the whatever-it-is. I’m not special.”
“Neither was I, until the stars woke for me,” Rema told her, and took one of their Crafter’s hands in hers. Orange light woke to meet Rema’s purple when she pressed their palms together. “What is your name, Crafter? And who are your people?”
“Thabisa,” their Crafter named herself to their group. Tallulah rolled the name over her tongue and felt it take root in her heart where it belonged. “My people are Zulu… and I think I know how to fix your ship.”
“Our ship,” Tallulah corrected her warmly, yellow-gold of one ancient people meeting deep orange of another when they clasped hands. “Come, sister. Show us how you’ve solved our problem, and we will teach you of the stars.”

Yaz 14, 25 and new Hayden 6, 41!
14. do you have a favourite conversation that they’ve had with another character? briefly describe it!
ooh I think I'm biased by it being so recent, but I really adore the conversation she had with her mom and grandma last session. they talked about... responsibility and power and the family's history, and I loved getting that sense of how much yaz loves and trusts them, and how much of her identity is formed by them.
25. are they a clean/tidy person?
not particularly! I think between her and will the house is kept decently neat, but yay for sure has a bad habit of leaving things strewn around and running off in the middle of tasks
6. what quality do they like the most about themselves?
its taken a long time to get to this point, but hayden likes that she stood in the fire and took it! they like how much the fire lets them protect people and how powerful of a healer she is now. they have revivify :)
41. are they good at controlling their emotions?
pretty good! she still has the occasional outburst and certainly is the worst at controlling herself when Maeve is involved, but. they have twenty wis and care SO much about control :)

( melisa pamuk, female, she/her. ) — see yasmine arslan (murray) ? that’s the broken bird of fairview . the twenty-nine year old has been a resident on wisteria lane for four years and currently works as a registered nurse (rn). yasmine confided in rose with the death of her son and grew close enough to her to help her cope with the his loss. since the news broke, any progress they’d made toward yasmine becoming a person again has sent her into regression. her returning-optimism has seemingly been replaced by a dark, cynical sense of humor cracking under the surface. maybe it’s the fact that a dark cloud in the form of one or two secrets is hanging over their head. they are described as smelling of ysl’s black opium, having a bronze-glow with enticing eyes and dark, long tresses with full lips and being able to save a life just as quickly as they can take one. // (jessy, she/her, twenty-four, cst). + disciplined, resourceful - cunning, perfervid
tw: child death, miscarriage, depression.
short version:
yasmine arslan comes from a wealthy family, primarily involving the shale or oil companies they own. she didn’t want to follow in her four older siblings’ footsteps (with yasmine being the youngest) and continue delving into the family business. she joined the military at a young age and became a medic for the u.s. marines with her family’s full-support.. it was meeting adrian that encouraged her to wrap up her contract and become honorably discharged from the marines seeing as fraternizing was forbidden. however, her devotion to helping people didn’t cease and she accepted an offer as an rn in the hometown they decided to settle into.
it came to little surprise to either of them, even after a miscarrige, when yasmine became pregnant with their little boy, josiah. those around her were shocked to see her excel at being a mother seeing as she seemingly didn’t possess a single maternal bone in her body, but motherhood changed her. she adored her son and josiah was absolutely adored to bits by both of his parents.
adrian had been in the military a lot longer than yasmine and had a lot more blood on his hands than she did. he had a harder time adjusting to the civilian lifestyle than she had and ultimately decided to cope by becoming a mercenary. he was a loving husband and father by day, but a killer, gun-for-hire by night. all of the killing began to take a toll when he sloppily allowed one of his marks to get away. he didn’t think it would come back to haunt him until it did. their four-year old son was killed in cold-blood in their arms, forever changing their lives and their marriage.
yasmine was never a warm person, by any means, but she lived for her son and her family. his death forced herself into a recluse unable to do much other than autonomously meander throughout life.
instead of separating, the family moved to wisteria lane to try and start over and discuss the idea of trying for another child. despite her cold demeanor, nursing is her passion. she seldom shows her emotions and really only allows adrian in long enough to get a glimpse of a person beyond her beautiful, bronzed, cold demeanor. she doesn’t know her husband is responsible for the death of their son because heaven forbid. when she isn’t in her nurses scrubs or work uniforms, she’s seen in designer attire. very little people know of josiah’s existence because no one is allowed in their home. those who are hardly make it far enough to see his room or any lingering pictures of him.

Adrian (an ex-military, gun-for-hire mercenary) and Yasmine lost their son brutally for reasons unbeknownst to her, though Adrian knows who is responsible and why. Silky camisoles, satin blouses, plain tees, oversized sweaters, and over-the-shoulder shirts dominate her closet. She also wears dresses, sundresses or bodycons and anything in between, and even dual-utilizes her blazers as dresses. Yasmine can also be found wearing her ex-husband’s tees and jackets when she isn’t wearing her own cardigans, denim or leather outwear, or workout gear. Bralettes are always fashionably seen poking out of her shirts. She mostly wears neutral or minimalistic hues such as black, white, nude, baby pink or blue, gray, and any variations of these shades. Her obscene shoes are a vast collection of chunky booties, long boots, heels, wedges, and flats, mostly black with the occasional color. She can always be found wearing a designer bag and accessories. Her ears only wear one singular set of diamond earrings, while she wears a small cross around her neck that she interchanges with a lock that consists of a photo of her son, Josiah. She still wears her wedding bands and no other rings.  ☾ ━ Physical Description: Barely standing at five and a half feet and a little over a hundred pounds, Yasmine can be described as petite. She is often underestimated as she can put anyone on their ass before they can anticipate it. Her go-to makeup look consists of a natural look unless she’s purposely going for a subtle glam look. Either way, her lipstick choices are subtle nudes, pinks, browns, and the occasional red. Mostly, she sticks to matte lips or clear glosses. Her lashes are thick and long without mascara, but she piles it on to accommodate her thick eyebrows and full lips. Now that she is no longer in the military or nursing, she can be found wearing black pants, booties or heels, and blouses. When she’s summoned to aid one of the Bianchi members or associates with medical attention, she will wear her nursing outfit if she can, but she always keeps her nursing bag handy that she mostly substitutes with her handbags.  ☾ ━ Tropes: The Healer, The Grieving Mother, The Vengeful. ☾ ━ MBTI: ENFJ (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging). ☾ ━ Temperament: Choleric ☾ ━ Zodiac: Aries - The Ram. ☾ ━ Alignment: Chaotic neutral. ☾ ━ Element: Fire.  ☾ ━ Sin: Wrath.  ☾ ━ Hogwarts House: Slytherin.  ☾ ━ Greek Goddess: Athena, Goddess of War and Wisdom.  ☾ ━ Negative Traits: Impatient, moody, short-tempered, impulsive, aggressive. ☾ ━ Positive Traits: Courageous, determined, confident, enthusiastic, optimistic, honest, passionate. ☾ ━ Personality: She hadn’t had an easy childhood and it hardened her from an early age. Although she’s a nurse, her personality doesn’t fit the bill of a healer. She’s cold to nearly anyone initially other than her patients and her son before his death, and her ex-husband pre-divorce. She has a cold, dry sense of humor that consists of sarcasm and beration of others. She is easily set off and has been known for her violent outbursts, none of which she’s ever lost because she’s underestimated. While she can come off as neurotic and moody, Yasmine can be loyal to a fault and always puts the physical wellbeing and needs of others before her own. She was born from a wealthy family and has always chosen to help others in need, despite her lack of compassion. Losing her son only made her more aggressive and passionate, closed-off and even malicious. Few get to see past the fortress she’s created around her heart.  ☾ ━ Fixations (Likes): ☾ ━ Aversions (Dislikes): ☾ ━ Vices: Red or white wine, tequila, the occasional cigarette, prescription anti-anxieties and opiates.  ☾ ━ Medical History: Two pregnancies (one unsuccessful via miscarriage, one successful), fertility issues, a broken arm, two bullets in her shoulder, chicken pox, occasional seasonal allergies.  ☾ ━ Psyche: Yasmine was diagnosed with a mild case of PTSD following her two tours overseas, but was easily cured with therapy and an antidepressant. She despised taking medications until she was diagnosed with a slight case of postpartum before giving birth to her son instead of after birthing him. Josiah was the light of Yasmine and Garrett’s lives, completely curing her of any depressive state she might’ve been in as she had always considered herself mentally strong. Since his death, she’s been unable to recover from the pit of despair and meanness that consumes her life. The only person capable of even coming close to making her feel a sliver of emotion is Garrett. She abuses prescription drugs, especially opiates, to cope with the loss. Occasionally she becomes roped into a state of mind where she seeks comfort in Garrett and sleeps with him, subconsciously trying for another child despite her aversion to exposing another child to their childhood.
Other:
➤ Yasmine was born in the country of Turkey into a strict household that consisted of three additional siblings (two older brothers, one younger sister), four including herself. Her parents own a shale corporation within the country and gave their children trust funds to jump start their educations and futures. For a better chance at a future, she was sent to live with an aunt and an uncle who raised her in Texas. They’d always envisioned their daughter as a doctor, but nursing was her passion. They were proud of her for graduating with honors and still continuing to work her way up the ranks in the medical field.
➤ She spent the entirety of her career easily surpassing the people around her at every milestone and every skill while healing those around her. She witnessed death until it desensitized her and tried to heal anyone, enemies and allies alike.
➤ Yasmine met Adrian Murray early-on in her nursing schooling career. He was infamous, more than a man but less than a God as far as other soldiers were concerned. After years of despising men and swerving them at every turn, she became infatuated with him despite the differences in their age. Garrett Russell was a Force Recon Marine, Scout Sniper, 2nd Lieutenant, and was a Silver Star recipient, with over a decade and a half of military experience under his belt. He reciprocated his feelings for her and chose to continue their relationship after he retired. Not shortly after she graduated, Yasmine became a nurse at a local hospital in Corpus and they began to see each other.
➤ After many false positives, difficulty with their fertility, and a miscarriage, Adrian and Yasmine successfully conceived a son, Josiah Zayn Murray. He was the best parts of his parents, the only good thing either of them were capable of. Adrian became a mercenary to support his family, even though Yasmine had her trust fund to keep them living a comfortable lifestyle. Regardless, he chose to funnel his energy and skills into something he was good at rather than let the trauma of his experiences as a soldier consume him.
➤ Their family was the epitome of picture-perfect, of happiness. It was enviable to watch a beautiful family live such a quaint, charmed life, despite Yasmine’s opposition to her husband’s occupation. She tried to focus on being a good mother and a supportive wife, but often found herself resenting him every time he’d come home covered in blood, smelling of gunpowder or burnt flesh. He was an attentive father, but became lost in the bloodlust aspect of being a mercenary and it eventually came back to haunt them.
➤ Shortly after completing a job, Adrian inadvertently left a loose end behind, or so she assumed.. Said ‘loose-end’ eventually found his family and remorselessly attacked them, spraying their home with bullets, leaving both of them unscathed. Their son, however, was shot repeatedly and died immediately and gruesomely in their arms. It took her awhile to figure out he was to blame, despite having her suspicions, but she resented him beyond her ability to remain married to him. They became separated because she couldn’t see him without thinking of Josiah, the spitting image of Adrian, but she refused to officially divorce him..
➤ Eventually, they moved to Fairview at the recommendation of a family friend and settled into the quaint neighborhood of Wisteria Lane, hoping for a chance at a fresh start where they could hopefully work on their marriage and try for another child.
➤ She doesn’t allow anyone to publicly see her grieve, choosing to break down on her own or amid her husband’s presence. Her coldness only amplified and she’s recently become more violent, hitting Adrian and throwing anything at him while purposely instigating so he’ll defend himself against her.
➤ She purposely finds and puts herself in situations that could cost her her life, unafraid of death and the morbid possibility of meeting her son soon.

Okay so @spaceterrariums and I were discussing having nostalgic Doctor Who Episodes and I managed to write out a whole ass idea for a series w 13 and ppl who have previously been on the show.
Episode One: Mostly just a normal episode but a really dangerous adventure and the doctor cuts it very fine and Graham, Yaz and Ryan and a whole planet come very close to dying. When they survive the Doctor asks so where to next and they all just want to go home so she drops them off and is sad about it. You then see her in different places alone that we’ve visited before (The Library before it was closed and other such places) and then she finally ends up in London and who does she happen to bump into Wilf! Who doesn’t recognise her at first but then sees the tardis and is like doctor want to have a cuppa and they have a heartfelt chat and he gives her some good advice that I haven’t thought of yet and mentions Donna a bit and it’s all a bit sad and the doctor give Wilf the tardis number. She returns to the tardis thinking about all the people recently and we get flashbacks to people that have come and gone and we see a tear fall off her nose and onto the tardis’ sensor things that can detect a place from an object. She then returns to Sheffield and the fam come back to her but as she’s about to go somewhere the tardis takes off with out her controlling it.
Episode 2: The fam arrive somewhere and the doctor is hella confused and so they go out and do all kind of scans and things but nothing is wrong and it’s very tense and scary. But then we go back to the tardis and we see River also looking very confused and rifling through her tardis diary and it’s not in there, she’s not supposed to see the doctor but she can’t help herself so she goes into the tardis bc of course she can. Then when the others get back you just hear her go Hello Sweetie. (I had also planned for River to pretend she doesn’t know which one of the fam the doctor is bc that would be hilarious but I’m not sure how that would work :/ ) And yeah and then the doctor goes river and almost choked up because “you shouldn’t be here, why can I see you and stuff” but also her wife!! And then river is like oooh you’ve changed, I like it (and possibly makes a comment about her having breasts and stuff and just being a little bit river) and they kiss bc of course. And then river asks so where are we because I can’t find it in here and the doctor goes I’m too far forward :’( and rivers like well let’s make the most of it. Then Graham is like hi and River is like oh Doctor you didn’t introduce your friends and so they meet and the doctor introduces river has her wife because they all cute and married. And so whilst river and the doctor are deciding where to go we see the fam talk like she’s married! And to a woman! What! And also Graham catches the fact that the doctor won’t see her again and is sad but yeah. Then they go on an adventure somewhere with river flying the tardis and it doesn’t make the noise and I haven’t worked out the rest of it but river and the doctor are fun and banterous and it’s great. Except for when they have to leave bc they really do :(((( and the Doctor is like goodbye but had gotten past river in the past few years because it’s been a while but still sad and rivers like I’ll see you soon and the doctors like yes you will but also slightly melancholy and won’t tell river why but it’s fine but it’s really not.
Episode 3: the fam go back to Earth bc there’s an alien attack back on the normal timeline and guess who they bump into - the one and only Martha Jones who is a spy/medic of some kind now UNIT is shut down. And Martha is shocked to see the doctor but also like doctor!!!!! Who she initially thinks is Ryan bc he’s the first one out of the tardis. And she’s like you’ve changed and then the doctor is like yes I really have and steps out. And then they sort the alien invasion out and Martha asks them round for tea and biscuits. And guess what Mickey and Martha have a kid!!!! (I haven’t worked out the specifics w that one but they do) and Mickey is a house husband/stay at home dad. And the kid is like dad dad it’s the tardis (bc of course they grew up on stories of the doctor) and mickeys like of course it is but then it actually is. And Martha’s like guess who decided to show up for tea. So they all have tea and the kid tells the fam about all the adventures and stuff and they’re like oh wow and Graham’s like yeah I remember that hospital disappearing it was wild. And yeah and the episodes ends all happily when they all get into the tardis (but so does the kid).
Episode 4: this is The Historical Episode™️ (I’m not sure when tho). But basically Mickey and Martha’s kid seeks onto the Tardis and is like wow but the doctor doesn’t see them and so they go somewhere, leave and then the kid sneaks off in the past and then ends up getting into trouble w the aliens that are there bc of course. The doctor saves the day and returns the kid to Martha and Mickey a few seconds after they’d left and is like this one snuck aboard but no worries nothing happened. But then it finishes w Mickey getting a call from a teacher saying that the kid is acting up in history saying all these things about x time period that aren’t true and refuses to change their mind.
Episode 5: normal episode w some fun thing going on in space and yeah :) then yas and the doctor talk about Mickey and Martha and why she never visits them and the doctor says it hurts too much to see what I did to them. Martha used to be a nurse, a healer but look at her now a gun in her hand always fighting. I did that to her and I’ll never ever forgot it because I can’t do that to more ppl. And they hug and it’s cute and yeah.
Episode 6: The doctor is by herself for a bit when the phone rings. Confused she answers. It’s Wilf he’s raving about Donna and how she remembers and somethings wrong it’s not working the memory block. The doctor is there immediately bc Donna!!! And so she’s about to put the memory block back on (What happened was the last attack where the doctor and Martha met she saw the tardis and it all started coming back to her. Basically a big flashback scene is necessary where we see Donna see the tardis. Nothing happens but then we flash to later and Donna’s asking her mum if she had knew a good doctor, her mum asks why are u ill? And Donnas like no reason. We then see her googling aliens and daleks and planets and blue boxes. She finds a picture of the Tardis and it’s like a damm has been lifted and that’s when Wilf calls the doctor. Donna can barely function bc she’s collapsing bc of being part time lord part human and is literally passed out on her bed and the doctor comes in to wipe her memory and sees the stuff around her room and is like wait she’s right if I do this it could stabilise her for a bit if she’s hooked up to the tardis core and maybe something else will work so she moves Donna into the tardis and gets to work. Wilf keeps an eye on Donna and keeps hurrying up the doctor bc Donna is fading and fading fast. They manage it just about and Donna wakes up herself and is like “You! You idiot why couldn’t you think of this the first time!” And the doctor laughs bc Donna’s back. And then donnas like hold on a second since when were u a woman? And the doctor catches her up on bits and pieces but is like this solution won’t last, I’m going to have to wipe your memory again soon. But Donnas like you always were a bit on the thick space boy and the doctor says Oi! And then they banter and talk weird sciencey time lord stuff about regeneration energy and is there a way to extract it. And it turns out there is but they have to go lots of places to get the pieces for the extractor. So we get some witty Donna Doctor banter. And Donna flies the tardis for a bit. But then they need somewhere to put the regeneration energy so they’re like hmm and donnas like doctor you need to cut off a body part. And the doctor complains bc that hurt a lot last time but it has to be done bc the regeneration energy needs to go somewhere. I have yet to work out which body part. Unfortunately tho the extraction of the regeneration energy means that Donna can’t go anywhere near regeneration energy so can’t go anywhere with the doctor once it’s done and it’s sad and they have a heartfelt goodbye :(
And that is all that I came up with but there could probably be more non nostalgic ones. And maybe have one with James Corden bc The Lodger and Closing Time were lots of fun. But yeah that’s my nostalgic doctor who ideas for a series. Enjoy :)

Note
All the ice cream flavors
@theresastargirl
Under the cut because there’s a lot of them!
Almond Chocolate Coconut: a touch headcanon. This Doctor isn’t especially physically affectionate, but it’s because her touch telepathy is extremely strong in this body and she doesn’t know her limitations yet. But if you stroke her hair she will love you forever.
Bacon Ice Cream: a "what were you even thinking" headcanon. She eats bathbombs. She thinks they taste flowery and nice. (i am surprisingly passionate about this headcanon i’ll be honest)
Black Raspberry Cheesecake: a sexuality and/or romanticism headcanon (romantic orientation, sexual orientation, etc). This Doctor is asexual and panromantic. With a strong preference for women.
Cactus Fruit Sorbet: a "this shouldn't work but it does" headcanon. She reorganised the library according to the colour of the books. To be fair it looks really pretty.
Cherry Garcia: a role model/inspiration headcanon. Her fam. Her friends have always given the Doctor inspiration and Yaz, Ryan and Graham are no different from that.
Chubby Hubby: a body image/self esteem headcanon. It took a long time for the Doctor to get used to her new body’s appearance, longer than she’d want to admit. All the curves and body parts that were new threw her and even in the TARDIS there was a lot of experimentation with clothing to see what was most comfortable
Chunky Monkey: a names, addresses, nicknames, etc. headcanon. The reason she is so chill about Graham calling her Doc when her first body wasn’t is partly because it reminds her of those first human friends of hers. Also character development in general.
Cookies and Cream: a family headcanon. One of the Doctor’s greatest regret in life is leaving behind Susan the way she did. She still has the shoe with a hole in it belonging to her granddaughter and she misses her every day.
Cotton Candy Explosion: a childhood/child(ren) headcanon. For a while as a very young Time Tot, Brax was her hero. Until Koschei came along and she found a new person to follow after.
Death By Chocolate: an indulgence/guilty pleasure headcanon. The Doctor loves chocolate of all kind, but especially sweet ones. At night however she enjoys settling down with a bar of dark chocolate.
Devil's Food Chocolate: a vice headcanon. This is based on the audio drama The Master so spoilers for that, but the Doctor managed to remember killing that boy when she was a child. She still has nightmares about it and it’s the one thing she won’t ever talk about.
Dulce de Leche: a happy/sweet romantic or queerplatonic headcanon. The Doctor’s favourite way to relax with a partner is to curl up on their lap and have her hair stroked. It makes her feel safe and secure and loved.
Elderberry: a hurt/comfort headcanon. If she’s in a relationship with someone she enjoys being cared for when injured. Not that she will ever, ever admit it in a million years. But it’s nice to be fussed over.
Entangled Mints: a friendship headcanon. For the Doctor her friends are her priority. She’s happy to just hang out with them and wants to show off the universe. She just wants them happy.
Espresso 'n Cream: a coffee/tea/coffee-shop (AU)/caffeine headcanon. The Doctor adores coffee. She will be that one person at Starbucks who gives the poor barista a really complicated order though.
Fudge Behaving Badly: a misbehaving/getting into trouble headcanon.Even now the Doctor is constantly getting in trouble. In the Academy her teachers despised her because she and the Deca were always causing mischief and it’s something she has never been able to grow out of. She takes pride in the fact she has the record for most detentions in Gallifrey’s history.
Ginger Crème Brûlée: a gender headcanon (gender identity, gender presentation, butch/femme, gender feels, etc).Although the Doctor now identifies as a woman and much more feminine than before in human terms she would still probably refer to herself as non binary. She experimented for a while and definitely prefers female pronouns though.
Half Baked: a bad idea/poor planning headcanon.Although the Doctor likes to act like she’s organised and knows what she’s doing, usually she doesn’t. She’s been winging it for the last three thousand years and most of the time it’s worked.
Heartbreak Healer: a sad/angsty romantic or queerplatonic headcanon. The Doctor still has room in her hearts for every person she’s loved. Including those all the way back in her first body like her wife and Cameca.
Jasmine Peach Tea: a self-care/self-love headcanon. When the Doctor just needs a quiet time to herself, which happens more often than you’d imagine, she enjoys to get herself a herbal drink and read a book in the library. Either that or sit in the entrance of the TARDIS, feet dangling, and watch the universe.
Kahlua Almond Fudge: a language/words headcanon. The Doctor feels most comfortable speaking Gallifreyan. If she is on Earth she tries the speak English out of courtesy and because the translations are easier if she’s in a different country, but otherwise she speaks her first language.
Kiwi Midori: a creative arts headcanon.Disappointed she can’t play guitar anymore, the Doctor spent some time figuring out what this body enjoyed doing artistically. She soon found drawing. They’re usually sketches and she’s best at people, specifically faces.
Lemon Angel Food: a virtue headcanon. The Doctor tries very hard to keep to her promise of being kind. She is sick of being the Time Lord Victorious. She wants to simplify things and start again as just a friendly traveller and helper.
Lemon-Lime Sorbet: a sexual/NC-17 headcanon (alt: a secret(s) h/c).My Doctor is asexual, but whilst I was figuring out her sexuality I decided she would be a sub and have a major praise kink
Magic Mint Cookie: a magic/supernatural headcanon (alt: a taste h/c).I don’t know what to do for magic?? So I’ll do taste instead. 100% inspired by real events from Jodie, she can’t handle spices as much as she wants to. That won’t stop her eating very spic food though.
Masque of the Raspberry Sorbet: a fear/horror headcanon (alt: a costume(s)/facade(s) headcanon).Since being ducked as a witch, she has a fear of being submerged under water and drowning. It’s something she’s trying to overcome in her swimming pool because she doesn’t want anyone else to find out.
Neapolitan: an intimacy/vulnerability (or lack thereof) headcanon. The Doctor only really lets herself be intimate with people she has a long history with. She is a lot more eager to hug family members and old friends.
Orange Pineapple Whip: a kinky headcanon (alt: an eccentricity h/c).The Doctor is almost the definition of eccentric. Many people would call her whole outfit alone eccentric. She doesn’t notice though, and she doesn’t care. She is happy with who she is and that’s what matters to her.
Oreo Cheesecake: a physical health/disability headcanon. She doesn’t have any physical disabilities. The closest I can think is that her touch telepathy is stronger than other incarnations because they are the main sense for Time Lords.
Peanut Butter Plum Cherry: a soulmate/soulmate AU headcanon (alt: an unconditional love headcanon)She tries very hard not to fall in love with humans. Jamie was the first long term human relationship she had and losing him crushed her. Since then she’s tried and failed to stop falling in love with humans.
Phish Food: a music headcanon.I was discussing this a few weeks ago so this is perfect. The thirteenth Doctor is really into cheesy pop like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. She also likes K-pop and J-pop. She likes the beat and rhythm of the music. She also likes how happy it all sounds.
Purple Daze: a stoner/drugs headcanon. In the Academy she would have ginger with Koschei (for anyone who doesn’t know, ginger canonically gets Time Lords high). The less said about those times at the Academy the better.
Rainbow Cream: a nature headcanon. If given the choice, the Doctor would enjoy spending the day relaxing next to a shallow river. That’s the most relaxing natural environment she can think of. Also a secluded beach.
Road Trip: a travel or escapism headcanon.Travelling is the Doctor’s life, it’s the most important thing to her. She loves the freedom it brings, the ability to go where and when she wants. She can’t imagine a different life style for her.
Rocky Road: a difficulty or struggle headcanon. The main thing the Doctor struggles with is the new sexism she has to face. Even the more minor things like how patronising men are towards her, literally and metaphorically looking down on her. She despises it and it makes her so angry.
SNAFU (Strawberries Naturally All Fudged Up): a mistake(s) headcanon. The Doctor really doesn’t like making mistakes. More than anything else she finds it embarrassing. And that’s really annoying.
Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch: a mental health/neurodivergent headcanon. The Doctor has PTSD definitely. Not just from the Time War but the many horrific things she has seen through her long life. I also see her having a Time Lord version of ADHD, but I need to do more research on that before I nail anything down.
Tennessee Mud: an alcohol, drunkenness, intoxication headcanon. It takes a lot to get the Doctor drunk, but when she does she’s giggly and affectionate. She will probably end up on your lap laughing at nothing.
Tuxedo Strawberry: a well-dressed headcanon (any headcanon about clothes). The Doctor tried to wear a dress the first time she had to wear formal clothing, but she just couldn’t with how impractical it was. Instead she prefers dressing up in a smart tux.
Vanilla Fudge Ripple: a strength headcanon. She has incredible upper body strength. She doesn’t get the chance to demonstrate it much, but it’s something she’s always had. She is also very emotionally and telepathically strong.
White Raspberry Truffle: a weakness headcanon.Daleks are her main weakness. They break down any morals she has set out and will do whatever it takes to get rid of them all. But losing her friends? That destroys her.
Wildberry Chocolate Chunk: a social life headcanon. She spends all her time with her fam. She tries not to spend too much time with other people because she’s scared of losing more people.

Hello darlings! Today's story was brought to you by Tirani! Darling thank you so much for your support! I hope you love it!
Prompt: Star Light Star Bright

The first sign that something had changed was the glimmering feathers that billowed through the air like dandelion seeds on the breeze. They hovered, almost weightless, until a breeze caught them and carried them onward on their journey.
Crystalline and clear, the feathers cast rainbow whenever the light caught them and seemed to come from everywhere. They piled in delicate drifts that burst like bubbles whenever they touched a person and scattered into motes of light. Talulah caught one of the feathers on her palm and smiled when it turned from crystal clear to the glimmering yellow-gold of her own stardust. She braided the feather into her braids beside the one from Grandmother
Their Singer was woken. She was calling for them with the light that spoke to them all. A shining core that gave them their strength. She shone pure starlight over them and let it catch in the many songs of their peoples until they brightened with their own light from within.
She knew her songs, and theirs, and many more. She carried the lore of the world beneath her wings.
When Talulah met up with Li Hua, their Healer wore feathers as well, hanging from the long buyao that decorated her hair. A rain of green leaves and white flowers mingled with the feathers against her inky hair and chimed softly They glimmered with green at their core and clear crystal at the edges. Rainbows danced across her cheeks when the sun danced through the windows.
“Have you seen her?” Li Hua asked without preamble. Rema joined them, her ever-changing sari now decorated with crystal feathers to match the deep purple. Talulah trailed her fingers over the draping fabric and left golden lines that picked out Rema’s legends, even as Li Hua combed her fingers through Rema’s long hair, leaving pear blossoms in her wake. Rema, more than any of them, needed the reassurance that she was wanted. They all marked her with their stardust whenever she was near enough. “Our Singer?”
“She’s calling for us,” Greta said as she entered with Yaz and Thabisa. Greta wore her feathers braided into her hair. Yaz’s hung at her throat and ears, and Thabisa’s were a crown of sunrays tucked into her tight bun. They carried themselves like the queens of their own people, each unique and powerful. “Our Singer. Where will she be?”
“Where all the great, singing serpents go,” Li Hua said with green-slitted pupils and dragon horns rising out of her ornate hair. She wore the long, traditional clothes of her Chinese heritage, with the pear blossoms that gave shared her name picked out in shimmering white thread against the green silk. “She is with the sun.”
“The roof,” Yaz said, connected to the building in a way that none of the rest of them were. She might not be able to sense people, but nothing happened within the walls that she could not feel. Starworkers shone like the stars that gave them their names, a beacon that called them towards the last of their seven. Their Singer. The light that shone through them all and brought with her the legends of all their peoples and many more. “She is waiting for us.”
Together, they wound their way through Luna Base. It was a great structure of interconnected domes and artificial gravity that covered the whole base. The highest dome was designed as a park, filled with food plants that supplied the base. It wasn’t the only farm, of course, but it was a welcome respite from the sterility of the rest of the base.
They all spent hours there, soaking in the life that filled the humid dome. It was as close to Earth as they could reach without falling into the prison once meant for their ancestors. Talulah missed the great thunderstorms of her childhood. Perhaps someday, when they had shattered the walls of the prison meant to contain them, she would return.
It was no surprise to find their singer basking there, her arms spread as she welcomed the sun that was just breaking over the Moon’s horizon. Great crystal wings spread up from her arms, and crystal scales cascaded down her back in the form of the great Sun Snake.
Quetzalcoatl had chosen. Their Singer went wrapped in wings of rainbow. Her song filled the air, an ancient language that spoke to Tallulah’s. They shared the same rawhide drums, although their language and cadence differed.
“I wondered when you would find me,” she said without turning. Her crystal feathers spread to welcome in the sun. Quetzalcoatl coiled around her and mantled, before he was gone. Their Singer turned, gowned in crystal feathers over a simple, undyed wrap-dress. Her skin was tanned like Yaz’s, but her features were of the great nations of South America. The crystal patterns on her dress changed, shaping out the runes of her people, and her thick black hair was contained by more crystal. The traditional crown of an Aztec queen. “I am Cuicatl. I know the songs of many peoples.”
“Welcome, sister,” Talulah said and stepped into Cuicatl’s open arms. The rest of their sisters were on her heels and soon they were in a sunlit huddle together, wrapped in the warm arms of the only people like them. Stardust exploded around them in their many colors, lit from within by their own star. They were complete at last. “Welcome home.”

Pear Blossoms
Hello darlings and happy Monday! I hope you're having a great day. I certainly am!
Today's story was brought to you by Brandon. I love to see your comments darling, and this series never fails to bring a sense of awe to me.
Prompt: Star Light Star Bright

When the Wonder reached Earth, or more specifically, Luna Base on the moon, there was a woman waiting for them in the landing hanger. Everyone have her wide berth, and Tallulah wondered who she could possibly be, that even the scientists and their commanding officers gave way before her.
It wasn’t until the woman, her skin flawless and her dark, almond-shaped eyes watchful, moved, that Tallulah understood.
Green stardust flowed off her, Chinese dancing silks written in the light of stars, that pooled around her wrists and ankles. Her simple white lab coat was nearly invisible beneath them, but the faint red cross on her arm told Tallulah who this woman would be to them.
“I am Li Hua,” the doctor said. Pear blossoms rippled through her stardust, and she reached her hands out to them, a missing piece to a puzzle not yet completed. Yaz and Greta welcomed her into their arms, their sister, who had Legends in her stars and the deep strength they would need when they challenged the silver-white ships. “The Stars called to me until I left China. My legends sing to me. I am your Healer.”
“Welcome, daughter of the stars,” Tallulah whispered when it was her turn to hug the newest of their crew. The newest of their family. She felt when their hearts caught the same dancing beat of Grandmother’s drum. “Our cherished sister, who cares for our souls.”
“And your bodies as well,” Li Hua told her with a smile, and a brush of her fingers that brought her dancing silks up in a breeze that wasn’t there. Her stardust met Tallulah’s and brightened to the color of new leaves in spring. “Come Dancer. There are many who wish to speak with you.”
“Are you the only Starworker on base?” Yaz wanted to know as they closed rank around their Healer, the message clear. She was theirs and they were hers, and they would not be parted. The soldiers and scientists watched them, fear and wonder in their eyes as stardust trailed behind them, red and blue and yellow, and now green as well. “Have our other sisters come as well?”
“We’re looking for them,” Li Hua told her, green, glimmering blossoms in her blue-black hair and on her sleeves. “Now that we know what it is when the power wakes, we are seeking them.”
“But none so far?”
“Only me.”
“You are not ‘only’ anything.”
“I am one. Soon we will be seven.”
At last, the scientists closed in. Tallulah straightened, but it was Yaz, their Wallbuilder, who stepped forward, her gaze militant and her shoulders set proudly. She moved with their group, their proud sister with the strength of giants in the red stardust that rippled around her like sand in a desert wind. She was a storm, waiting to break against anyone who might dare to challenge them.
“There are three more yet to come to us,” she said before the commander, who was a good man, but who was too confident in himself, could speak. “Three more sisters, who carry their legends. A Singer, who knows the songs of more than her own, a Crafter, who can build the Wonder into what she yet can be, and a Flame, to light the way.”
“Are there others who have woken?” Tallulah asked, aching to call her grandmother, who always spoke of the legends and who deserved to know the truth of their tales. “Others besides our seven?”
“So far, we’ve only found you four.” Commander Oko was to be credited for his steadiness in the face of magic within his Luna Base, but, Tallulah supposed, he also had been working with Li Hua, who certainly could have demonstrated her own abilities, if not all of theirs. Her legends were different, but carried no less weight. China was old, and there were many stories hidden is such a long history. “We’re hoping that the others will come to us like Li Hua did.”
“I felt a calling beyond any before,” Li Hua murmured, with a knowing gaze for her new sisters. Greta smiled back at her, warrior braids bright in her pale hair. “A calling that drew me and could not be refused. As soon as I left Earth, my starlight woke."
“Do you think our other sisters will come to us?” Commander Oka asked cautiously, a man who understood that he could not possibly understand. “Will there be others?”
Tallulah looked dot Yaz, who smiled, her gaze distant.
“There will be others,” she said, her deep, red stardust in her hair and across her eyelids. “There will be many more, others like us, who start with a Dancer to wake the beat, and who come together, seven and seven and always seven. Listen first to the beat of drums.”
“We’ll look for them,” Commander Oko promised her cautiously. “If you’ll come with me, we need to debrief you, and figure out what we’re doing from here.”
“You have until our sisters come to us,” Tallulah said, the steady beats of her footsteps almost the same as the beats of her heart. Yellow stardust filled her hair, feathers and beads like Grandmother’s. The mark of home, proudly worn. A blue fish darted past her and she looked over her shoulder to see Greta, scales in blue on her cheeks as flowers drifted off Li Hua’s silks, and Yaz left stardust-sand footprints that glittered away as she passed. “When they are come, we will return to the stars. The silver-white ships are waiting, and if we tarry too long, they will come to lock us away again.”

The Bones of a Ship
Hello darlings. Continuing with Prompt Month, here is another amazing Level 35 Patron Prompt!
This story was brought to you by Brandon, who actually gave me the starting prompt for this series. Thank you so much for all your support, darling!
Prompt: Star Light Star Bright

The silver-white ships kept their distance while the ravens circled. None of them were willing to risk the Kargas, who rode golden-stardust thermals above the Wonder and watched them, a hungry predator waiting for a fish to get too close to the surface.
“We have a decision to make,” Tallulah said as she watched the silver-white ships shadow them. There was nothing for them to hide behind, in the open nothing of space, but they also hadn’t risked another attempt at stopping them. Nor should they. When Greta’s blue stardust Huginn and Muninn circled the whale-ship, they brought back Odin’s Gift of knowledge and Memory with them. The Whale-ship’s files and memory banks. Every scrap of information aboard, borne by starlight back to the Wonder. “We were never supposed to be out this far, and now we’ve made first contact, been threatened, picked a fight, and got more information than we know what to do with.”
“What are you thinking?” Greta asked. She sat at Yaz’s feet as Yaz braided her blonde hair up into warrior’s braids, fastened with beads Greta cut off a necklace her grandmother’s grandmother’s grandmother wore into battle. “You’re right that we were never supposed to be this far out, but we weren’t supposed to be moving this fast, either. Our supplies are holding out.”
Between Greta’s currents, carrying them forward through space, and Yaz’s new ability to track their position by the stars, without so much as a glance at the maps, they were traveling far beyond their original flight-path.
The command center on Earth was both pleased and concerned, but they, tentatively, gave permission for the Wonder to carry onward.
They were less pleased about the first contact matter, but there wasn’t much Tallulah could do about that now that it was done.
“She thinks we should go back,” Yaz contributed. A navigator of more than the stars, Yaz had started getting glimpses of something like the future here and there in her stardust. A talent that was slowly getting more powerful. “Back to Earth. We transmitted our data, but that’s not enough, is it? We need to go back into orbit. We need to show them what the Stars showed us.”
“Will the Seal-ships let us through?” Greta had adopted Tallulah’s name for the alien ships as well, lacking anything better to call them. They really did look like hunting seals. “They’ve been shadowing us.”
“They want us to turn back. They don’t get to be mad if we do,” Tallulah said with a shrug. She peeled an orange, careful to keep the skin in one piece as she did. “But I have another reason for going back, besides telling everyone at home what we can do.”
“Oh?” Yaz asked, and tied off Greta’s shieldmaiden braids with a series of clasps. “Want to share your reasoning?”
Tallulah smiled and tossed her orange peel over her shoulder. When she turned to look at it, it shone with golden stardust. When she reached out, the stardust flowed into a shape of its own. The bones of a ship, different form any seen on Earth.
“The Wonder needs a new coat of paint,” she said as the ship, born of feathers and waves and sand flew around them. “She needs to be bigger. Able to take longer trips now that we know how fast we can move. And we need a few more people. People with stories. People with legends.”
“We need a crew,” Greta said, and let the stardust-ship ghost through her fingers, made of light. The ship grew rank upon rank of round shields, each marked with a pattern all their own. The shields overlapped and grew until they became many-banded feathers, shading green where Greta’s stardust merged with Tallulah’s. When Yaz added hers, red stone walls growing to join the feathers into a powerful body, the ship truly took life. The wings, Tallulah admitted, were a bit of vanity for their shared first battle, even as Greta marked the stone hull with waves. “We need a ship that can stand the riptides. You know the whale-ships aren’t their final try to stop us. Not after they saw the Kargas.”
“That’s why we need more legends,” Tallulah said as she examined the image of their new ship. “We need a Crafter. Someone who can know the soul of our ship. We need a Flame, who can light the way in the darkness. We need a Healer, who can build us up when we falter.”
“Three to join our three, our Sailor and Wallbuilder and Dancer,” Yaz said with distant eyes on distant stars. “And one more. A Singer. One who knows not just her own legends, but many, of many peoples.”
“Seven,” Greta said, and patted Yaz’s shoulder as she went to the controls of the ship. As always, the Wonder bent to her will almost before she touched the controls. “She?”
“She,” Tallulah told her with a smile. “All of them. It will take time to find them. Our four, to build a ship with us. We don’t even know if anyone else can touch the stars as we do, or if the legends chose us to be aboard the Wonder because only we could.”
“There will be others,” Yaz said confidently. She joined Greta at the controls and Tallulah sank into her chair at the scanners. “Tell the Seal-ship we’re coming around. It wouldn’t do for them to think we’ve decided to eat them just as they’re getting what they want.”
“Somehow, I don’t think they’ll like our current plan much better.”
“That sounds like a ‘them’ problem to me, wouldn’t you say?”
“Oh, I think,” Greta said, and raised her hands, waves rising around their ship and sparkling into a fast moving current that swirled them towards home. “That we will have plenty more conversations with them when they find out just how many legends we have back home.”
