Face to face with the beast at last, he extends a slow, halting hand to smooth the air between them - gesture meant to signify truce. He's trekked a long and arduous journey to track the poor creature down again. Unarmed this time and bare-knuckle human in form, parlay clear as day in his body language, to amend their terrible first meeting. He's sure the werewolf remembers him - imposing and loud and startled mean from a few days ago when they'd still been monster and pursuer. But that'd been before Angel had seen the camp. The freakshow site. The cages. Silas the Dog Boy.

He's no longer an investigator on the hunt for a roaming abomination. There is none. The haunches are raised, the teeth bared and, though the creature has no fur to stand on end, Angel recognizes a scared animal when he sees one. Recognizes a hurt one all the same... Dog boy? Surely not. He looks at the poor thing and tries to think like a human would. A cruel, thoughtless one. What would amuse its ignorant little mind. Would it look at the deformed muzzle and warped frame and sate itself on the irony, the fittingness of dubbing it 'dog'. Angel hopes not.. but he tries the name on for size anyway.

"Silas?" The venture is quiet and gentle and he steps as close as the growled crescendo allows. Averts his gaze for a second, to evade looking like an animal poised to pounce while he slowly hunkers low to the grass and at last sits. Less large and threatening now, yet unyielding, he presents a commanding shape that seeks not to intimidate. Hands plainly placed on knees, Angel regards him.

"Silas? That your name?"

The voice gentles imploringly like a parent's. By unwitting habit alone. By virtue of facing the smaller figure and, in the terrified eyes, recognizing something raw and painful.

"...Did they keep you in a cage?"

Alright, yall already know by know that im a big gege truther- however im perfectly fine with the people who wanna see caleb as the ‘childhood friend’- which the anglicized version essentially goes off on. Now i do believe those individuals dont see all of caleb’s unique little nuances- just because so much of them stem from the brotherly role he was ‘forced’ to fill for mc all throughout childhood- and i think they fail to recognize the paramount correlation it has to their ‘forbidden’ romance (which both he & mc ACKNOWLEDGE in the story; but ig they’re just whiting out the bits they dont wanna hear) but im not gonna flame ppl if they wanna see bro as the friends to lovers trope.

i dont agree with it, but its more or less okay with me bc i understand lots of ppl are icked out by the pseudo trope (reasonable) yet still want to appreciate xia yizhou in their own way— even if ignoring the original intention inevitably brings a certain distance to that for the lack of comprehension over his, well, ahem GEGEISM™️

The way some of them wanna DENY the asian/original canon tho is pretty insane ngl. Like homie u can still enjoy ur own (english localized) idea of caleb- but to try to erase the obvious gege/meimei implications of the chinese version is funny only because its just that stupid. Again im definitely not one of the ppl who’ll yell and shame others for not fucking with the gege vibes, but cmon… its pretty obvious that is in the canon.

And now im yapping at this point but as to whether or not caleb WANTS to be mc’s brother figure? ..Honestly i feel like that is complicated in itself, and i think the answer will vary from person to person. But for me i think its both a yes and a no. He definitely acts as her brother, thinks as her brother, regards himself as her brother. And the self awareness is absolutely there for him- as in he knows its wrong to romantically pine for mc because he truly does- in his own way- naturally see mc as his meimei as well, even if he tries to separate himself from it the more his yearning grows. I think calebs emotions revolving this are super complex. I can barely even put it into words.

He wants the full right, if u will, that the gege title grants him over her— the closeness, the responsibility, the bond— but it ultimately gets in the way when he stares at her in admiration for a little too long or leans a little too much into the fantasy of pretend girlfriend and boyfriend. Growing up, whenever he humored her and they played house, he never had to feign the part of ‘husband’ bc he already carried all that love with him. In a way, a lil piece of him kind of blames mc for ‘asserting’ the gege role on him, but he’s still just as guilty bc he happily gave in to it all throughout their growing up. He liked it, even, in those moments he could almost forget his own pathetic desires.

I truly do believe that caleb feels regretful over the brotherly role he operated under for just about all his life… But i also truly believe that he would have it no other way— the smallest idea of anybody else assuming that spot in her life makes him furious. Because again, he wants to take care of her, he wants to protect her, to bandage her scraped knees and hush away her tears, to cook breakfast lunch and dinner for her and have almost as much of a say in her life as gran does. (…past tense.) He wants the proximity, the domestic life with her, the casual closeness and again, the slight dominion the ‘brother’ role gives him over her.

Lets not forget that in all of this, for all his cheerful, reassuring smiles and easy quipping comments, that there’s a little worm in the back of caleb’s head that wants ultimate control over his meimei. and yes, even just in calling her his ‘meimei’— or her running face first into his strong arms bc she knows, as family, he’ll always have her back— some of that control is given. Its so hard to articulate this pls kill me. But i hope u know what i mean.

At the end of the day, for all his reservations about it- and the actual blame he lowkey tries to put on mc for it- Caleb does and always wanted to be her gege.

Because if he was never her gege, he’d be nothing. His responsibility over his meimei— his sister, his friend, his closest confidant and hopefully, one day, his wife— is frankly all that gives him purpose.

And yeah maybe he is a little crazy because of it... But he knows she loves him too, deep down. He knows her better than anybody else, after all. The same can be said about his love for her: nobody in this world could ever hold even a fraction of all that Caleb both internally & physically shoulders for her.

It’s as much of an ugly curse as it is a beautiful gift.

- He (definitely) wanted to form a band back then when he was still young, maybe around his pre-teen years.

Its canon that he used to be in a (impersonator) band. So, I think that after the band disbanded/after he left, he was influenced to form his own. But obviously due to his social anxiety he didn't manage to achieve that, he was so sad about it too; he probably daydreamed of having his own band a lot back then and imagined himself being able to play infront of a crowd without panicking and vomiting

- Used to upload in SoundCloud. I have to say it, he obviously used to upload there. (He's canon-ly an excellent singer)

SoundCloud uploader babyyy, I feel like he also writes his own songs but never uploads them due to shyness so he only does covers, he wasn't recognized much but he had a few supporters here and there. There would be comments on the songs saying things like

DUDE. This radiates off of him so much, he opens either of those applications everytime he waits for the phanbus club when they hang out. I headcanon him as the earliest one to arrive in their meet up spot. I feel like he always (unintentionally) arrives 50 minutes early, Lol.

- Top one most used app... Spotify, obviously. Has an average screen time of 16 hours in there.

- He understands English, but can't speak it because he struggles in pronunciation

- He can play multiple instruments (canon), but he probably sticks a lot more to electric guitar and drums. He also does electric guitar/drum covers and such.

- I mentioned how it's canon that he has a great singing voice earlier, right? So. I headcanon his voice to sound like Nobunaga Shimazaki, idk but I just felt his voice to sound like that

- Cried when he tried samyang buldak for the first time (Samyang buldak is a South Korean instant noodles known for their intense spiciness).

Inspired by the ASMR-tists he watches, he tried it out because he thought it tasted good. He teared up when he took a sniff of the sauce packet and realized how spicy it is, the noodles were already cooked so he can't really back off at that time so he just embraced what was going to happen to him.

And guess what happened?

Warzone. Bro was sweating hard on every inch of his body, his face was blushing red because of the spiciness, he was on the verge of breaking down while eating.

(He asked his dad to buy him the noodles btw. His dad probably didn't bother looking at the label and just snatched the most random flavor on the shelf (he unknowingly took the 2x spicy flavour.)

so like they're sooooo attached to each other right like SOO fucking dependent. both of them trying to die for each other every five seconds, yusuke constantly crashing out because kuwabara like. stubbed his toe a full continent away. episode 89 just generally. they're basically attached at the hip. and on one hand watching them beat each other up while also caring sooooo embarrassingly much is cute its also like low-key kinda codependent. like oh you don't know who you are without him? erm. and while I do think a big reason for that is just bc they're quite literally the only other person among their peers who would understand the trauma they've experienced what with dark tournament n all, there's also a degree of personal shit for both of them that impacts it.

cuz like. lbr at the start of the show yusuke was very very lonely. its part of the reason he just writes off kuwabara as a run of the mill punk chasing glory, at first. why he's so surprised at kuwabara's breakdown at his wake. yusuke has this idea in his head that he's no good for nobody, navigating a world where every man fends for themself. seeing that "hey ppl care if I live" is really impactful for yusuke, even if he never fully processes that lesson. and he still has that idea that "oh kuwabara's just some dumbass" going into The Promise, but ofc he has his shit flipped on him when he realizes "oh this guy's really cool actually." and from that point onward yusuke just gets sooooo attached so quickly. bc like other than keiko, kuwabara was yusuke's first real friend.

and rq that is NOT DISCREDITING THE IMPORTANCE OF YUSUKE AND KEIKO'S BOND NONONO but there's a clear distinction there between what yusuke and keiko have vs what yusuke and kuwabara have for a number of factors, the whole "not really able to have a normal friendship bc you've been paired off as a couple since diapers" thing only being part of it. kuwabara's a lot like yusuke in a lot of ways. hot headed delinquents with shitty grades judged by their mentors with less than conventional family lives (kuwabara was practically raised by shizuru despite her only being like 17-20smth in canon. there's implications there I think.)

its just that in a lot of ways they're genuine equals and lord knows yusuke needs someone to relate to at the point in his life he's at. moreover kuwabara was never afraid to challenge yusuke, something he clearly values and revels in, even if yusuke himself sees it less of an actual rivalry and more of a bit of fun. he's forced to recognize in The Promise how good of a guy kuwabara actually is and that made an impression on yusuke, nihilistic and untrusting as he is. and as we all know yusuke's protective of the people he cares about, but its like. its different with kuwabara. because unlike someone like keiko kuwabara runs headfirst into danger. he's a fighter!! a manly man if you will. and yusuke fucking Hates that because HELLO you're not allowed to get hurt ever you mean too much to me. but he's also beating up kuwabara on the reg bc duh they still fight. so its this weird kinda dissonance where yusuke's like "NO ONE'S ALLOWED TO BEAT UP KUWABARA BUT ME" and that's very funny and lowkey fruity ngl. stop trying to kill my girlfriend only I'm allowed to bully him.

obv the whole being overly protective angle takes on a whole new context as the show goes on but I think if I got into anything post chapter black this post would end up longer than my last longfic so. Rolling his eyes, Jean exited out of his and Connie’s conversation. He paused for a minute, staring at his recent conversations. His thumb hovered over Y/N’s number, and he found himself selecting their messages. Not knowing why, Jean felt the urge to save her contact.

It might be useful later, Jean rationalized.

Clicking ‘Save Contact’, Jean quickly wrote “y/n” in the name category before saving her number. He didn’t know why he would need it or want it later… but he couldn’t resist the blossoming feeling of hope that this wouldn’t be the only interaction he had with Sasha’s estranged roommate.

Jean couldn’t deny that she was attractive, and even though their first greeting was awkward, the nervousness quickly melted away into carefree conversation. Jean mentally chastised himself for possibly oversharing with the girl he just met, but he couldn’t push away the giddiness that accompanied whenever he played back the words he and Y/N exchanged. He secretly hoped he would get to chat with her again when he returned later to pick up the couch with Reiner, his soccer team mate. He wondered what Y/N’s first impression of him was. Did she think he was weak for not being able to transport the couch? Did she find him as charismatic as he found her? Why was he so nervous?

Jean wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans and grabbed his house key. He chalked the nervousness off to just simply being unnerved by the girl’s beauty. It was nothing out of the usual. It was just one interaction, he reminded himself. At least, that’s what he was telling his friends.

Reiner honked from the outside of Jean’s apartment, causing Jean to break out of his thoughts. Jean quickly shuffled to the door, making sure to grab a jacket and a hair tie on his way out the door and to Y/N’s dorm, and to potentially a new connection.

BnHA Chapter 297: We’re Bustin’ Outta This Joint

Previously on BnHA: Horikoshi did his best to undo all of the good vibes from the Girl Power arc by killing off Midnight. It sucks and I still don’t like it, but it is what it is. Unfortunately, Not Killing Off Your One Female Teacher Character With Any Character Development was worth 30% of his grade for the semester, so it brought his average down all the way to a C-, and so he and his report card will just have to live with that. Meanwhile Ochako did some rescuing, and the other U.A. kids lay around unconscious and/or traumatized. The chapter ended with an abrupt cut to Tartarus, where AFO is apparently just chilling and waiting for the Nearly High Ends to come bust him free. What kind of a cliffhanger is that to leave your fans hanging on for three whole weeks. Who’s suffering more here, the characters or the readers.

Okay, but I'm crying b/c I was literally thinking "I feel like Finn might have a crush on Saoirse" and totally forgot that I had Saoirse have a crush on Finn #facepalm (Anyway, I feel like maybe they are actually ~both~ interested in each other but don't know that the other feels that way???)

For Finn, I don't think his feelings for her developed until they started living at Lorcan together and she started warming up to him more? Honestly, her mix of being affectionate one minute and like ... bullying him the next is just so familiar in all of his relationships that he probably recognized that combo as like "Oh! We are friends now!" #facepalm

And ... ngl her combination of both being charming, but also lowkey mean probably play directly into Finn's way of flirting and so he'd ~flirt~ back at her and it probably started as something that was harmless on his side (and since he flirts so often with lots of girls, she probably still thinks that it is?), but somewhere in there it developed into something more than that.

Probably, ngl, the combination of seeing how she is with his niece and nephew, but also seeing her as a member of the resistance??? I do think that Finn loves his niece and nephew but when they were babies he was like terrified to even hold them, but now living with both his sister and Saoirse, he has more time to see them and I think he's developed a good relationship at least with Peadar and I feel like he and Saoirse have definitely played games with him together which involves toy swords and Saoirse and Peader chasing Finn all over Lorcan <3

But yeah, he also sees how brave she is/how willing she is to fight for what she believes in/what is right/how selfless she is and that's also something that Finn wants to develop more, in himself, and he agreed to join the resistance because of Fiona, yes, but I think that Saoirse probably had some influence there, too, and something I think he finds that he's becoming a better person because of her. Which ... I do think unsettles Finn a little because commitment is terrifying to him and .... so is Ronan ... which are both two things that are standing firmly in his way of making anything more of this relationship.

So I do think that he will definitely pull back whenever he remembers those things and can be, at times, kinda cold and withdrawn??? I don't think it ever lasts too long, but it does happen. And I think that it is v weird behavior for Finn, b/c he tends to be confrontational/sarcastic if he doesn't like you.

Okay so we already know Kipo did a beautiful job of showing in multiple ways the differences between a redeemable villain and one that isn’t right?

And idk I just noticed some parallels in their relationships with their siblings (S3 finale spoilers)

Hugo respected Kipo and wanted to protect her from the beginning, and when they were on opposite sides, didn’t really want to hurt her. And after he lost, when she continued to try to help him and contradicted his beliefs, he stopped and listened and trusted her, and after a while, he redeemed himself. And then he took Kipo’s side and supported her, and grew to trust her to defeat Emilia even after his sacrifice.

Meanwhile Emilia only wanted her brother to be like her and work with her, but still only with her in control and on top (I’m not sure the clipboard joke was just sibling teasing, knowing her). And when he contradicted her beliefs and didnt show any sign of listening to her anymore, she lashed out and just killed him with barely a second thought.

That just speaks volumes to their characters in the way they interact with their siblings and I just found it interesting.

(I’m glad Emilia got what she deserved lmao I saw something saying Fun Gus might’ve taken her to her old room since that was her old burrow and he recognized pictures of her and her brother and lowkey tortured her with that knowledge that she killed him and I just love that idea ngl)

Those eyes.

Felix knew them too well even after all the years during which he hadn’t seen them. Dark and morose, they stared back into his own, the mouth just under them with parted lips as shallow breaths left them. This first encounter was rather painful for Felix, who hadn’t been subjected to that glare since he was a child; since David King was taken away to a private school with stronger disciplinary measures.

The two didn’t dare speak to each other, not even now that they were adults and past all of that childish anger. Felix had heard terrible things about David growing up from his parents; the last thing he’d expected was to see him again, and to be stuck with him in the same place he’d hoped his father was.

Felix didn’t recognize anyone else, but they all stared at him just like the kids in his primary school. He was the only foreigner then, and he stuck out terribly when he spoke, no less when David would mock him for it and make the other children laugh. Even here, even now, Felix was hesitant to speak.

“No fuckin’ chance you’re the Richter boy,” David said before anybody else. He was shorter but much more stocky than Felix, and he still came off quite threateningly. The Richter boy stayed quiet and let his old Mancunian rival figure it out for himself. “It’s you, innit?”

“You know this guy?” interjected a girl who was standing by, and Felix was relieved when he heard her accent. She was Nordic.

David nodded, licking his lips as he recalled his past with the blond boy who sat in front of him in class, desperately trying to focus on his schoolwork while enduring his childish means of torture. He’d never laid a hand on Felix even once, but the words he spat along with little paper balls were enough to make him shudder.

“Probably wishes he didn’t know me.” Felix stood back and watched as David stood up from his seat on the log. “This is Nea. I’m sorry you’re here.”

While he learned the ropes from the others, David left Felix alone, not assuming he'd want to talk with him even though it had been years since they'd seen each other last. It was inevitable that they would end up in a trial together, but even then, he paid Felix no mind until he was in trouble with the Wraith invisible at his heels. He didn't know where to turn.

David jumped out behind Felix when the killer revealed himself once again, swinging out in front of him and expecting the newbie to fall into his hands. Felix gasped when David grunted instead, letting himself be injured for his sake and yelling, "Go, Felix, run!" So he did.

A flick of his bell, and the Wraith had vanished once again, but David could tell that he was going after Felix again, and that was something he just wouldn't have. He followed the billowy shadow through the trees and once again got in his way, but tumbled forward to waste even more of the killer's time on him. Felix had been able to get away.

Later, David hadn't acknowledged the selflessness that made Felix wonder how much he'd really changed, and instead he disappeared off somewhere else. Felix wanted to talk to him, to ask what happened on the first day when he didn't have him to rag on. Where did you go? he wondered. Why are you here?

The time for conversation finally came when neither of them were stuck in the confines of a killer's territory, where they were safe from all that for a while and could confront the years of tension that was left unresolved. Felix approached David as he whittled a stick down to dust, sitting next to him on his spot by the campfire.

"I know we were kids then," Felix told him, and David noticed how much his accent had gone away. It made him laugh inwardly, how something so small made him so upset as a child. Felix must have stayed in England, he thought. "Thank you for helping me before."

"It's nothin'. Gotta look out for each other down here, y'know." David wiped the sawdust from his hands and sat back, looking at Felix in the moonlight. He asked him, "So, what brings you?" and for a long time, they talked about their lives after they'd left each other's. The Richters' involvement with "a cult or something" that Felix hardly bothered with, and how David had simply thought he'd gotten so drunk he started hallucinating.

They reminisced on the short time they'd had together in their past, Felix not blaming David for not having liked his accent. "Well, that's not true," David told him. "I did like it; that was the problem," he laughed. "I liked it so much, I hated you. Stupid kid things, I guess."

And then, the conversation had taken a turn. It swerved and slowed down to a halt when Felix told David how much he'd admired his strength back then, and his bravery at any given moment. That much about him hadn't changed, it seemed. Felix still swooned over it.

"I took German in secondary school," David admitted. "I had a lot of regrets that I wanted to make up to you somehow. Some part of me hoped that I'd see you again."

Felix chuckled. "Well, here we are."

As the two of them spent more time together, David teaching Felix more and more how to survive this place, and Felix helping David brush up on his German, they grew closer than they'd ever thought possible. David even may have been ready to admit why he'd really loathed Felix all that time ago, and why his utter perfection even as a child made him so, excruciatingly jealous.

"Oh, you think you were jealous," Felix laughed. They were laying deep in the woods together, looking up through the trees and eating from a basket of berries that Jake and Claudette had picked earlier.

"You had everything, Felix, of course I was." David brought his hands up behind his head and clasped them together.

"Not your strength," Felix said. "Not your courage, not your ability to never give a shit what anyone thought about you. I had pretty buildings to look at."

"Do you care what I think about you now?" David asked with a smirk tugging on his lips. Felix laughed and looked away. "What do you think about me?"

"I think... you've turned out all right. Strong, good-looking... I mean--" By then, his face had turned the faintest shade pinker, and David's had too. "Well, you know what I mean."

"Do I, now?"

"I'd hope so."

"Are you calling me handsome, Richter boy?" His face had gone red. "I'll call you handsome, then, how's that?" Felix smiled sheepishly and shook his head, to tell David that he was being ridiculous, how dare you play with me like that.

What was all fun and games turned into a softer stare-down between them.

Those eyes.

They didn't glare at Felix like they used to, but they looked at him with a longing hat had been there the whole time. He dared to lean over and let his lips connect with David's in the most hesitant kiss he'd ever kissed, one surrounding him with comfort as David's arm laid itself over his waist. It left Felix wanting more, to kiss him even just once more, but maybe another time.

For now, this was okay, and certainly more than he'd bargained for when he found himself with David King in his life again. Maybe it wasn't quite life they were living, but it was something, and they were together. And Felix didn't mind at all.

Because there’s almost thirty of them on the team, they take up the whole bus

There’s an unspoken rule about letting Aoyama get on the bus first so he can choose any seat all for himself

Before the bus drives off, Iida is telling the rest of the team to put their seatbelts first because safety first 

Less than half of them did so

Bakugou has to yell from his seat to shut up or else they’ll get there late 

The bus driver is pretty chill. Everyone refers to her as “Aunty Wheels” after everyone witnessed her use either roller skates, a skate board, scooter, ect

Kaminari came up with the name

Aizawa, Hizashi, Toshinori and Kayama take up the first two rows

Aunty Wheels will have music playing in the over head as she drove the bus

They’re sadly all clean version 

WAP eventually came on but it took everyone a while to recognize it

Mina, Denki, Hagakure, Tokage, lowkey Monoma, Uraraka, Midoriya and yes, Todoroki too are almost screaming the actual lyrics

Iida tries to stop them

They only got louder

Someone posted a video about it on their stories

When they’re fifteen minutes away from the school they’re going to, Aizawa will ask the bus driver to turn off the music for a bit before turning to look at them

Everyone quickly shuts up when they see him turn to them

“When we get there only have your adidas pants, jackets zipped up to hide the costumes, and your drawstrings. The faster we get the equipment out from under the bus, the more practice time we’ll have before preforming. Understood?“ “Yes sir!“

Costumes are uniforms they pay to keep

Instead of the costumes having a specific gender, they’re unisex

The hair style varies because of the length of someone’s hair

Short hair = one bun, medium length = two buns, long hair = three buns (use Rey from Star Wars as reference)

Guys have their hair hair sprayed and/or gelled back

Bakugou, Midoriya, Kaminari, Tetsutetsu and Shinsou use the most hair spray and gel

Aoyama and Sero have low pony tails

Once at the school and they get off the bus, the atmoshpere changes

They were joking in the bus

But now?

Every single one of them is serious 

I’m talking about resting bitch faces, some of them hold their heads high

And no one talks which adds to the intimidation factor

When Aizawa tells them to line up after the weapons are in the red cart (the blue cart is for water bottles and gatorade) and the flag bags have been grabbed, Iida, Momo and Kendo are each leading a line

While they’re walking to sign in, they walk five feet apart to look bigger

None of them look around but with using their peripherals, they know other groups are staring at them

After signing in and finding their practice spot, they set their drawstring bags close to each other and get their own equipment before setting in a block

Aizawa will set the speaker in front of them while they stretch and play music

He’ll put on three songs at most before they do across the floors and a bit of movement 

After that he’ll just have the show music playing on repeat and lets them go off into their sections

Riffle Line

Bakugou and Iida are the ones who are the top two in riffle so they’re cleaning any work that’s dirty

“Shitty Hair watch your pitch it’s tilted a bit. Anymore and it can hit you dumbass.” “Thanks Bakubro!”

“Bakugou refrain from using such language!’

“Shut up Four-Eyes!”

“You’re acting so rabid Bakugou! You sure you have your shots?” 

“He’s had his rabbis shots Monoma.” Jiro snickered and Uraraka started cracking up

 “I WILL-” “Hey Bakugou! Bet you can’t toss a seven, do a tripple turn and catch in a split!” “BET!”

Thank god for Kirishima being able to distract Bakugou before he continues yelling

Saber Line

“Hey Todoroki, how’s the hand before the pop? Under or over the blade?“ Kendo looked at the duel haired male

When he demonstrates the way he does the work, everyone stops just to look at him

“Does Albert have tape? Mine’s starting to peel off again.” Tokage only noticed her tape getting loose again because of the blade being sticky

“We have a walking tape dispenser. Just get it from him instead of having to walk all the way to the cart.” Kaibara shrugged and seconds later Tokage had to cover her mouth with her hand to surpress her laughter.

Flag Line

Uraraka stood infront of the small block of flags clapping the tempo with Midoriya next to her. “Five, six, five six, seven, eight!” 

“Dance with me in my backyard boy-” “Denki!” “Sorry!“

“Wait are we at the double touch the ground or double catch behind the back with our free hand in the air?” “Double catch behind the back kero.”

“Wait, wait, I think I can do the 45 turn around.. Move so I don’t hit you please.”

Koda cradled the flag while standing in first position before opening up as he stepped out. He then turned halfway as he popped the flag so the silk was facing up and then he tossed it over his head before turning once and strongly caught the flag before holding for a bit.

Mina and Uraraka squealed in excitement because it had taken him a while to get the trick

Dance Line

Ojiro helped Tokage with her splits as they waited for Momo and Mina to join them

Aoyama walked over to the two and just

Slide into his left split on Tokage’s right and smiled at her

“Aoyama.” “Yes mon amie?” “I love you but I really want to push you over right now.”

Hakagure giggled as she went into her right split to Tokage’s left with ease

Without hesitation Tokage playfully pushed Hakagure over

_After Practice Time is Up_

When they had to start making their way to the field to meet up with the band, they lined up based on the equipment they have to set up first

They all placed their drawstring bags and clothes in the empty red cart by this point

Since their was four, yes four, movements- they all had their equipment easily accessible to set faster and not waist time

Once at the entrance, Aizawa turned to them and gave them a pep talk

“Go out there and blow their minds. You are all on this team for a reason.”

Hizashi gave his quick talk. “Every single one of you have worked too hard and that got you guys to the division you’re in now. Go rock it out there!”

Toshinori gave the team a small smile as Kayama gave them a wink

“Captains talk to the team.”

Iida, Momo and Kendo nod as the team got close

“I believe in us all! “

“Let’s go out there and do our best everyone!“

“Don’t worry about messing up. Just act like it’s apart of the show and get back in as soon as you can.“

The whole team put (Bakugou was forced to) their hands in the middle before Denki quietly counted to three before they all rose their hands in the air while whispering “Let’s go!”

Aizawa gestured for them to go line up next to the band as they had to go line up at the football field before they were called onto the field

Someone from battery started off the beat and everyone marched in place

Me on Monday rolling up some embutido for lunch: Hey, y’know what-

- Mother: Lara (won’t reveal her last name; when asked for it by Majid’s father, she jokingly suggested she take his last name instead) - Father: Kadir Ansari - Compared to Kodi’s parents, these 2 have much more info behind them b/c I have to explain both of their disappearances, so (・_・;) get comfy - Kadir---> Simple businessman in the Land of the Hot Sands; Made and sold jewelry for a living; Had a fairly small shop dedicated to his craft - Lara---> Runaway criminal from a land up north (if you ask me to clarify which country it is, I will cry;;; what does the Twst world even look like in the 1st place??)

 Didn’t kill anyone, but rather a string of robberies and prison escapes up her sleeve; had a large family that she had to provide for, unfortunately this landed her in a lot of trouble

- Lara snuck into Kadir’s place late at night by climbing in through his window

She was immediately asked to leave

Kadir eventually relented since she had nowhere to go/he already had a long day at work and didn’t want to argue

- Once Lara explained her situation to Kadir in the morning, she was asked to leave again.

After breakfast ofc

Use the shower if you want to, but don’t use up all the hot water

And he would give her some money and other basic necessities to use on the way, but (￣ヘ￣) that was it 

She really needed to go, tho; Kadir didn’t want to charged w/ harboring a criminal

- Lara begged to stay w/ Kadir, telling him in tears that she would do anything for him so long as he gave her a place to stay for the time being

Well... it wouldn’t hurt to have some extra help in his shop... and it would be heartless to kick a crying woman back on the streets, especially in broad daylight...

- When it comes to personality, Kadir is often seen as a serious man. He can become surprisingly raucous and joking w/ his friends and frequent customers, but otherwise, he was all business.

Has a fairly straightforward way of speaking; like Majid, he might come off as a little rude sometimes

His resting face makes him seem unapproachable at first, but he’s a pretty reliable guy

- Compared to Kadir, Lara has a more easygoing demeanor; fairly sly as well

Develops a habit of teasing Kadir once she warms up to him, either through her words or by constantly sticking close to him (this is probably where Majid got some of his clinginess from ngl); she wanted to see what exactly was behind that ever so serious facade

Kadir tries to brush her off most of the time, saying it’s not appropriate, especially in front of the customers; slowly becomes fond of it as time goes on

Tends to beat around the bush when she speaks; she won’t lie, but she won’t give you all the truth either

Oh! Yeah, and she’s pretty good at sleight of hand tricks too! :D These tricks seem to be a little more than just mere illusions at times, tho...

- Both of them are unbelievably stubborn (ah, yes, this trait comes from both sides of the family)

- They tend to butt heads a lot at the beginning; enemies to lovers 30k

- Speaking of tropes, these 2 probably become involved in a fake marriage thing so Kadir’s reputation doesn’t suffer when people see him bringing a strange woman into his house every night after work (*exchanging rings* “This doesn’t mean anything, okay? I just can’t have any more rumors.” “>:3c Okay, Habibi~” “... And don’t ever call me that in public, or I’ll pretend to not know you.”)

- It’s also a bit difficult for Lara to work at the shop at first

Kadir can be really picky when it comes to quality, and he certainly won’t lighten up on any of his wokers, regardless if they’re newbies or not

That and Lara can be heavy handed at times; knocking over display cases as she gestures to them and accidentally breaking parts of jewelry

I would love to say that she eventually gets the hand of everything, but :/ she really doesn’t; she’s entertaining to watch, though lol

- Once Kadir and Lara actually start falling for each other, they try to flirt in subtle ways, trying to get a reaction out of the other; or, at least, they think it’s subtle; oh gosh, their poor, poor coworkers ( ; ω ; )

- Lara might have had to wear some form of head covering/head scarf while working or out in public in general; her blonde hair and pale complexion makes her stick out like a sore thumb in a crowd, and she can’t risk getting recognized and taken back to jail again

- Majid... was an accident.

His parents were excited for his arrival nevertheless; Kadir would’ve bought a bunch of stuff beforehand like the worried father he was; Lara is happily spoiled w/ the amount of food she gets to eat during pregnancy (girl loves her food)

Once Majid was born, you bet he was coddled over; was often called Lara’s “little treasure”; Kadir was tempted to make Majid kind of like a mascot for his business, but decided that wasn’t professional (he really wanted to tho;;; thinks about it everytime he sees his son’s cute pudgy face)

- Lara was eventually caught and arrested; sent back to her home country for trial a few years after Majid had been born

Kadir leaves Majid w/ a trusted friend of his in order to attend Lara’s trial

He... doesn’t come back

The friend couldn’t afford to take care of Majid on his own, so he drops him off at an orphanage, promising to come back for the child once he had enough money to support them both

This man in particular works hard to set up his own appraisal/curio shop in the future and ohoho >:3c things are really coming together now

- Majid spent some time in the orphanage before escaping; he didn’t like how strictly everything was run

escaped enough times that the staff members soon gave up on him and let him roam free

surprisingly, no one (w/ a few exceptions) remembers baby Majid nor his parents; the Ansari jewelry shop was closed down and set up for lease the day Kadir disappeared; what happened in Lara’s trial was essentially a mystery, but perhaps the consequences of it could explain these odd events...

Kodi’s Parents

A bit shorter b/c these 2 literally had one (1) summer to themselves before creating the child, so there’s no slow burn here

- Mother: Colette Sepiama (Maiden name: Roussel; took father’s last name in remembrance of him)

- Father: Dimitri Sepiama 

- Co+Di= Codi (but, like, with a “K”)

- 1st meeting was a bit odd

- Colette was having a beach vacation, chilling as she collected seashells along the shore

And then some naked guy approached her, asking for help while sobbing his heart out

Didn’t want to find out what kind of “help” he needed, so she tried to power walk away, but he ended up tripping while following after her

Stared at the sad scene of a butt naked man crying into the wet sand for a couple of moments before wrapping him into a towel and paying a visit to the nearest souvenir store

He eventually calmed down enough to explain himself once he got the Hawaiian touristy shirt and khakis on (oh, gosh, now I’m getting Crowley flashbacks  (;;;*_*) make it stop-)

- Dimitri was part of a little “experiment” a friend of his was conducting, testing out various potions on him at any opportunity

Yea, they were a pretty messed up friend; at the very least, they made sure none of their potions would kill him outright

One of the potions gave him human legs (since he was a cuttlefish merman beforehand)

The trouble was: How does he turn back?

- They were the kind of couple who shares one braincell, spending the entire summer working together trying to figure out a solution to his predicament

Also, Colette lowkey thought Dimitri was lying about the whole cuttlefish merman thing, but since she thought he was kinda cute, she agreed to help him out

- I mentioned this before in Kodi’s profile, but I guess I’ll mention it again; Kodi’s pre-contract self was basically a male version of his mom

Basically, she was the type to always keep her emotions in check (well, it’s not as if she had a choice; she was awful at trying to show her emotions)

The type of person whose angry face and happy face were exactly the same

But she was kind enough and didn’t discriminate, even if the person she was dealing w/ claimed to be a mermaid from the deep sea

- In contrast to Colette, Dimitri is more like Kodi’s post-contract self

He cries;;; a lot

He’s just in a new and frightening situation, okay??  (╥﹏╥) And his human body was significantly shorter than his merman body, so everything is gigantic to the now smol boi; he often follows behind Colette because, even tho she’s taller than him, he finds her reassuring

Colette finds his personality cute; she likes being relied upon

- ahsghj I can imagine these 2 going on library dates, flipping through books and maybe falling asleep at some point as the setting sun casts an amber glow over them through the dusty windows, and it’s honestly the cutest thing

- Also, neither of them have magical abilities, but Colette’s grandmother did; it basically skipped a generation

This is why Kodi’s magic is weaker than others’, but he works hard to improve himself

- At the end of the summer, Dimitri is turned back

Turns out the potion only lasts for a certain amount of time :/ wow

They probably had some sort of tearful parting at the beach, w/ this time Colette breaking into tears instead of Dimitri

- Couple weeks after the vacation :D Colette finds out she’s pregnant

Realizes her relatives probably wouldn’t believe her if she told them the truth, so she fabricated a story about a simple meeting w/ a cute guy on vacation she hooked up with

I mean, she wasn’t technically lying about that

Bonus! Berenice’s Parents

A perfectly normal, perfectly boring family

- Cassidy is on the left and Argos is on the right!

- Since Berenice was based off the spirits in the whirlpool as well as the river Styx itself/herself, I searched up the parents of the goddess aaanndd

- Kind of?? Based them off Tethys and Oceanus??? Tho they are both of fairy descent; Cassidy is half and so is Argos, so maybe (´･_･`) that would work out? In terms of making a child of their own??? I didn’t want to go against the set fairy lore in stuff like Pixie Hollow, so-

- I always covered the tops of Berenice’s ears to avoid raising any suspicion of her true background, but, yea, they are slightly pointed as well. Much smaller than her parents, maybe abnormally so, but they are there (side note: if you saw me accidentally draw berenice w/ human ears (*⁰▿⁰*) no you didnt)

- They lived with Berenice in an area just outside of the Valley of Thorns called the Land of Lotuses, so there was a large fairy population here too.

- As such, Berenice never thought to question if the life she was living was considered “normal” in the eyes of outsiders. So you’ll often hear her describe her past life as boring and ordinary, both to make a person lose interest and just b/c she truly thought she lived such a life.

- I described Berenice as being an only child, but I never go into detail on what happened with her family after she died 🧐 Did she perhaps unknowingly gain another sibling? Or two? Or three???

- lol wait I just remembered I described them as getting up there in age. Maybe in human standards they were, but they were still considered like??? Middle aged??? When it came to fairies???

- They had no prominent influence in the Valley of Thorns nor in the Land of Lotuses, but they were both considered a respectable people involved in an overseas trade business when living in their old coastal town.

- Both settled down in the Land of Lotuses to raise Berenice and also to hide away from a scandal that ended up bankrupting their company but shshhhh
