Last Pride month 2020 I had just accepted my sexual orientation to myself.

The whole year I was worried about my relatives and everyone else finding out, because I still felt a little ashamed

Now, I'm still a little scared about my relatives finding out but only because I know what their reaction will be (negative), not because I'm ashamed. However if the topic is brought out I don't feel like lying about it.

And now I feel comfortable enough to post it. Maybe even on facebook where my relatives are. I feel like I can celebrate Pride month for real this year 🌈😊

WHO THE HECK IS MY MUSE ANYWAY:

hetty hughes is one of the leading opera singers in georgian london. at a time when italian performers were considered superior, she is something of a patriotic novelty -- an english singer who can hold her own with the divas brought in from the continent. she is known for her versatile soprano, her good looks, and her scandalous reputation. like many performers of the day, she is known to have wealthy and aristocratic lovers, and many of her exploits appear in the scandal sheets. but hetty pays them little mind. she is almost pathologically focused on her career and her independence. she enjoys pleasure and revelry, but she is a career-oriented woman first and foremost: an artist above all else. 

POINTS OF INTEREST:

hetty is the illegitimate daughter of a long-deceased steward to the duke of gransmoor. the old duke raised her as his ward, before she ran away to become a singer against his wishes. your muse is not likely to know this. you must be a level 127437429 friend to unlock this backstory.

she is painfully devoted to the king’s theatre in london -- somewhat to the detriment of her own career. though she has given some tours and performances in europe to great success, she often turns town more lucrative engagements to remain in london. the king’s theatre is her home and she has little desire to leave it. 

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN UP TO RECENTLY

you know the deal. performances in london. tours throughout the uk and europe in the off-season. she is booked and busy! but she is also a staple of a certain level of london society and is a regular fixture of the demimonde, if you will.

WHERE TO FIND THEM:

LONDON SOCIETY: as noted before, hetty spends most of her time in london. she is occasionally invited into the salons of the ton as a guest, but more frequently as a hired performer. but she is regularly found at the opera house, at masquerades and other parties of less elite pedigree, surrounded by fellow artists, as well as more aristocratic individuals looking for an escape...

THE OPERA HOUSE: as a singer, this is where she spends most of her time. rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing. if your muse is a fellow musician, they might know her professionally, or a muse from some other background might encounter her after attending a performance.

ALL OVER THE WORLD: as noted above, hetty does tour europe (and possibly america, depending on the verse or thread). your muse might meet her there after taking in one of her concerts...

CURRENT PLANS:

to continue to hone her skill as a singer and keep furthering her career. she would one day like to own shares in the theatre.

DESIRED INTERACTIONS:

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

The last traditionally called Vampire Slayer, oldest in the active line. A sexy, violent headcase with abandonment and daddy issues as well as an unhealthy sugar addiction. Probable oral fixation. Has the ability to see grey areas. She’s sassy, sarcastic, strong as fuck and a bit dim-witted. Her sex drive could beat up your dad. Faith Lehane is a force of nature with only about enough brain power to light up a Christmas bulb. Confused by microwaves. Looks good in a mini skirt. Good with kids, not so good with adults.

Points of interest:

Learns from her mistakes before making new and exciting mistakes. Loyal as heck once her trust is earned. Ridiculously inappropriate. Girl!Damon. Can kick over your head and parkour around a cemetery like a son of a bitch. Is a ‘Slayer punning’ novice but a sarcasm ninja. Zero-gravity boobies. 

What they’ve been up to recently:

Stabbing guys with a wooden stick until they ‘splode.

Where to find them:

Main verse sees Faith living a Hunter’s life, moving from town to town to put her Slayer abilities to use in saving people and hunting things.

Current plans:

To make it through today, then to make it through tomorrow.

Desired interactions:

I’d love to see Faith run into other Hunters, Slayers and supernatural creatures in her pseudo-Hunter’s life. I’ve got room in my main verse for canons and OCs from Supernatural, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries and other similar fandoms - BtVS too, obviously!

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

Sadie Horowitz is a Boston psychologist and an absolute delight. 

Points of interest:

Other than being very attractive and outgoing and sometimes socially awkward, there isn’t much to notice. 

What they’ve been up to recently:

Sadie has been thinking about becoming a mother via artificial insemination. Her family is not particularly supportive of this venture. 

Where to find them:

Sadie jogs the same route through the park every morning just at or before dawn with her dog. She stops at the cafe down the street for coffee every morning on her way to work. Sadie goes to a yoga class twice a week, and the farmer’s market once a week (they have the best flowers). She does not attend temple regularly (maybe a few times a year?), but she does volunteer at the Jewish community center. She teaches a course twice a week at Northeastern on human sexuality as an adjunct professor. 

Current plans:

Mostly just working towards self actualization. 

Desired interactions:

At present, I am a brand new blog, so any interactions are welcome.
