isnt it crazy that someone can make a completely legal app for ios but if apple doesn't want it in its app store because of lol lmao reasons you have to then go through a gazillion loops just to get this one app and also millions of people buy apple's products because they don't see the problem with an operating system that fully controls what you can or can't have on your device and also has several other major problems. insane
#m#like ive been taking my 3ds to english classes because the kids find it more fun than regular ol' excerises#and also watching movies gets stale pretty fast#but out of the 9 games i own only three let me change the language to english#because pokemon and apparently professor layton too thought it was a very smart idea to have region-locked games đ€Ș#but getting a ds emulator on ios is soooooooo goddamn dififcult. cant just download a zip file you have to hack your iPad or smth#cant download music either you have to download itunes and put your music files on iTunes and then sync your iPad to itunes#but also it makes a backup copy everytime even though i don't want one and there's no way to turn that off#and also cant transfer files to your ipad you have to do it through a third party app and they all have really small storage limits#and another gazillion issues that windows or even android don't have đ§šđŁđ§šđ§šđŁđ§šđŁđ§šđŁđ§šđŁđ§šđŁ#hate this thang. i cant believe people told me it was worth spending 600⏠on this than buying another cheap ass drawing tablet

Hey folks! I'm crowdfunding a reprint of Hard Wired Island, my cyberpunk TTRPG. Backers can get a discounted physical copy or just a PDF!
Hard Wired Island is a retrofuture cyberpunk game, inspired by 90s anime. It's set on a space station orbiting Earth in an alternate 2020 where a meteorite strike supercharged public interest in space exploration. The player characters are regular Grand Cross citizens doing their best to live their everyday lives while fighting for the station's future.
This 400-page game includes:
An easy-to-learn system where social actions and problem-solving skills are at least as important as hacking and getting into fights.
An alternate 2020 setting in an O'Neill cylinder near Earth.
Descriptions of the many locations of Grand Cross, from the busy downtown Voyager Ward to the high-tech parkland of Mariposa to the Agriculture Ring that feeds the station.
Seven Occupations, including the Fixer, the Hacker, and the Influencer, along with a plethora of character options.
Over 100 detailed NPC descriptions, from corporate heavyweights to android crime lords to just regular citizens of an Earth-orbit city.
A flexible mission prep system that allows characters to adapt their plans on the fly without wasting their earlier efforts.
A wealth system that tracks the financial burdens placed on you by the capitalist system you live in.
A cybernetics system that doesn't dehumanize you for installing augments.
A lot of great art from a lot of great artists.
No genAI because we're not gormless hacks.
The game released in 2021 to great reviews. We sold out of print copies long ago and people keep asking us for more, so now's your chance!

not quite human [ 02 ] | sylus

â cw: reader implied to be femme, gendered terms (miss, girl), profanity, sarcasm, existentialism, groping, innuendoes, sylus is an android, futuristic au, inspired by detroit: become human â notes: fuck it. here, have an update. [ part 01 ]
You know how you get something you thought was useless, yet youâve grown accustomed to having it around for so long, you canât envision your life without it?
Like, a towel warmer. You think, who the fuck would waste money on one of these things? Whatâs the point of one when you have a dryer? But say, your friend buys you one as a birthday gift. You canât give it away or throw it outâthat would be rude, asshole.Â
So, it sits in your bathroom for ages, collecting dust and shit particles from your toilet. That is, until that one day you reluctantly decide to use it. And you realize, okay, maybe this isnât so terrible. And soon, youâre using it every day. Used to the little luxury of having a hot towel against your assâone of the few, minuscule pleasures distracting you from the whirlwind of your life. Â
Thatâs how youâve come to view your android friend, Sylus. Heâd give you the piss for comparing him to a towel warmer. But youâre not very good with analogies so he can suck it.Â
Heâs become a part of your life you never knew you neededâsomeone to fill the gaps you leave around your home, to color the once quiet space of your apartment with his nerdisms, sarcasm, and presence.Â
It was an adjustment, getting used to this hulk of a manâmachine?âmoving around your home like heâd always been a part of it, quiet as a cat, scaring you shitless. Heâs like the pair of Crocs you said you wouldnât be caught dead in. And yet, trying them out, you understand why theyâre so damn convenient, especially in sport mode.
You canât deny how nice it feels to return to a clean apartment. To journey home after an arduous day of work to hot food, clean sheets, and an asshole kicking you around in Mario Kart. Every. Single. Time. Itâs not fair; heâs using his AI to hack the game, you just know it.
Yet, as much as youâve wanted to fight him for besting you at every game on your Switch, you donât think youâve ever wanted to disassemble him more than now.Â
Youâre fighting for your life. Literally. No matter how much you gulp down air, you donât feel like itâs enough. You might die here, coated with sweat and breathing like a pregnant woman ascending a set of stairs. Youâll at least ask Sylus to delete the browsing history on your laptop following your untimely demiseâthe things youâve researched there out of morbid curiosity would warrant a visit from the FBI agent spying on you.
âOne more round,â he says in that unfairly smooth voice as if heâs completely unfazed by the fact that youâre dying.
You turn pleading eyes on him, your hands dropping at your sides. He smirks, eyes gleaming with amusement from behind the safety of the punching bag.Â
âThatâs what you said the last three rounds!â
Sylus shrugs. âYouâre the one who said you wanted help utilizing your gym membership.â
âYeah! With Pilates or Spin!â You coil your body into a fighting stance, striking the thick leather of the punching bag out of frustration. âNot with this shit! Youâre trying to kill me, arenât you?â
His face is an impassive mask as he holds the bag, unaffected by your anger-fueled jabs. His cold indifference encourages you to hit harder. His stupid face, his dumb, silky hair.Â
âPilates wonât enhance your cardiovascular endurance like boxing will.âÂ
Thwack!
âAnd, based on your eating habits and the sedentary life you lead, itâs only a matter of time before you have a heart attack.â
Thwack!
âIâm merely helping you stave off the inevitable.â
Sigh.Â
You drop your stance, flailing about like a brat. Some of the gymâs other members eye you warily before returning to their workouts. âYouâre gonna give me a heart attack doing this. Iâm not Mayweather. Iâm just a girl.â
He chuckles, the sound carrying below the cacophony of racking plates and the music spilling from the speakers to tingle your toes. You try not to think about it. How his mirth makes your stomach feel weird and makes your lips twitch with the threat of a smile.Â
Itâs terrifying how human he seems. Despite the electricity and blue blood flowing through his biocomponents, heâs not much different from a regular man. Heâs become more human-like as the months eased by, trading his stoic, efficient robot-speak for something more casual. Heâs become something like a roommate. A roommate who doesnât eat, sleep, or go a day without making you want to hurl yourself into the void.
âYour sex doesnât exclude you from your human limitations,â he says, disrupting your ruminations.Â
You glare at him, wondering if you can reprogram him to be less of a dick. That, or sell him for spare parts.
Sylusâ eyes soften the slightest, fleeting bit. For a moment, you think heâll be sympathetic. But you forget this man wants you dead. âOne more round, and weâll be done.â
You bite the inside of your cheek. Give him a wary once over, ignoring how his tank bares his artificially toned physique, how his shorts boast the power of his thighs. Youâre sure CyberLife is also out to wipe out the human race, what with how much detail they put into their androids. Youâre no better than a man.
Resigned, you posture yourself for another round, adrenaline spuming through you, your knuckles turning white beneath the cotton bindings of your wraps. âFine. But after this, I want the greasiest slice of pizza in the city, and I donât wanna hear shit about it.â
Sylus huffs a sound, his eyes narrowing with mischief. âIâll keep quiet, then. You have my word.â
Motivated, you start wailing on the punching bag like it owes you money, driven by the image of a slutty pizza slice melting in your mouth.
â
You shouldâve known better. Shouldâve known heâd make you work even harder for that pizza. The thought of it now makes you nauseous, and youâre once again fighting for your life.Â
âI donât even,â pant, âwant the fucking,â wheeze, âshit anymore!â
He turns devious eyes on you from a broad shoulder, running ahead like it's effortless as breathing. Of course, itâs easy for him. He doesnât have to worry about his lungs exploding or faceplanting on the pavement.Â
âCome now,â he calls, and did he really just speed up? âThe pizza parlor is only a block away.â
You roll your eyes, jogging behind him, all sloppy and about to fall apart like Patrick Star when he first entered Sandyâs dome. âYouâre a,â pant, âreal pain in the ass, ya know that?â
Fuck him and his stupidly long legs and his inability to feel pain. Maybe youâre in over your head. Didnât know what you were signing up for when you asked him to help you get into shape. Normal women would be getting their nails done or picking out ridiculously expensive purses by now, not training like a fucking Saiyan.Â
You slow to a hobble as the crosswalk pans into view, the red, holographic lines signifying you stop and wait for traffic, your saving grace. You dry heave as cars swish by, hands on your knees. A heavy, wide palm claps down on your back. You glower, and if you had the energy to, youâd chuck him in front of a speeding bus.Â
âYou did well,â he says. It sounds patronizing coming from him. But you asked him to show a little personality after your first week together, so you have no one to blame but yourself.
You straighten, your heart ready to leap from your chest with how ferociously it pounds. Sweat eases down your nose, and you cut your eyes at your robotic tormentor. âI did, huh? I only thought about killing you three times. I should pat myself on the back.â
Sylus snorts, his lips pulling into a smile. A dimple craters his cheek. Had you not been fighting to breathe now, youâre sure youâd be rendered breathless by the sight.Â
âThatâs a new record. But if the number of times youâve wanted to harm me is dwindling, Iâm not doing an effective job as your workout partner.â
Before you have the luxury of a response, he takes off across the street when the crosswalk glows green. You stare after him, mouth agape like a fish out of water. âYou bitch!â you shout, chasing him, your chest warming at the boyish cackle he tosses you over his shoulder.
â
After a taxing game of tagâor, a game of you crying and throwing a tantrum in the midst of the shopping district, and Sylus taking pity on you (or trying to shut you up)âyour journey concludes in front of a coffee shop.
âItâs the least you could do after running me into the ground,â you grumble around a pout, crossing your arms.Â
Sylus peers at you from his periphery, that effervescent humor never leaving his face. âFair enough.â He holds the door to the swanky little coffee spot open for you, bowing like a butler in wait. âAfter you, Miss.â
You scoff, brushing past him. The rich aroma of coffee beans and warm cream washes over you like a soothing balm, smoothing the divot between your brows. You smile, exhaling beneath the ambient, artificial lights, twirling around like a child. âThese are my people,â you sing-song, garnering a few perturbed looks from the cafeâs other patrons.
You skip towards the counter to order, only to be halted by the cashierâs sheepish voice.
âIâm sorry, Miss.â She rubs the back of her neck and shrinks away like sheâs afraid youâll hit her. âNo androids allowed.â The cashier then motions to a sign overhead, Androids in bold Comic Sans struck through.Â
With all these technological advancements, you would think Comic Sans would be outlawed.
You scowl with your hands on your hips. âWell, thatâs fucking stupid.â
The cashier sweat-drops, tittering nervously. âI donât make the rules, maâam. I just enforce them. Itâs to keep it from getting crowded in here.â
âOr an excuse to be racist.â You turn to Sylus, watching him pensively. His gaze slides from the sign overhead to you, his processors seeming to work overtime as he studies you. âCâmon,â you clip, grabbing his arm, âletâs go somewhere else. This place smells gentrified and overpriced, anyway.â
As you step towards the door, he doesn't budge, and you spin to ask why.Â
âYouâve been talking about coming here for a while now. I wonât stop you from enjoying yourself.â
You blink, thoroughly confused. Sure, itâs a new coffee spot youâve heard your coworkers rave about. Seen ads for it on your socialsâthanks, Zuckerberg. But youâve intentionally avoided establishments outlawing androids. Youâve become accustomed to having Sylus attached to your hip, and you hate seeing him wait at those stupid Android Parking shelters.Â
To you, heâs more than a machine (when he isnât pissing you off). Sure, heâs an amalgamation of wires and metal, a complicated intelligence constantly learning and adapting to a world that gives you whiplash. But heâsâŠSylus. And since youâve known him, heâs acted like heâs grown sentience. You really wish people would stop treating androids like objects, even if they arenât capable of understanding the human experience like you.
His gaze lightens, a rare flash of empathy. âIâll be alright. I promise.âÂ
Carefully, he pries your fingers from his forearm, the feel of his palm on your knuckles temporarily turning your brain to smog. You watch with a retort on your lips as your companion steps out, moving behind the window to stand in the Android Parking zone along with the others, staring straight ahead with rigid apathy. Â
Dejectedness stirs in your gut. You bite the inside of your cheek, begrudgingly stepping into the line. This coffee better be worth the fucking hype. Otherwise, youâll air this bitch out.
After ordering your fraud-u-ccino, you plop on a chair that reminds you of those Little Tikes play-sets, scrutinizing the cafe like a Karen over crossed arms.Â
âIs that the new SYL model?â giggles a woman behind you.Â
You turn slightly, your blood running cold. You try to appear uninterested, toying with a discarded straw paper at your table.Â
âSure is,â says her friend, cupping her hand around her mouth in secret.Â
âWow! They look even better in person!âÂ
âI know, right? They look so hot. And thereâs only been, like, three of them ever made. Wonder who owns that tall chunk of plastic.â
You scoff. Who owns him? Sylus and ownership arenât two words youâd typically use in a sentence. Youâre his primary userâthe person whose instructions heâs programmed to follow. But you canât recall a time you intentionally ordered him to do anything, let alone referred to yourself as his owner.Â
âMust be somebody rich. Those models are expensive.â
âGod, I bet itâs big. Iâd ride that thing into the sunset.â
You let out an incredulous sound, looking out the window beside you. And if the ichor pouring through your veins wasnât already frigid, itâs undoubtedly iced over by now.
For there stands Sylus, your stoic and unassuming companion, slowly gathering a crowd of women, blushing and fawning over him like a shiny new toy. Youâre moving on autopilot when one of those bitches gropes his junk, taking advantage of his trance-like state beneath the kiosk.
Stepping into the balmy, spring air, the sounds of women cooing and giggling are like nails dragging down a chalkboard. You wend through the steadily building crowd, elbowing and shoving, channeling your inner Marlon Wayans in White Chicks to rescue your friend.Â
The noise simmers to dull murmuring when you grab Sylusâ wrist, pulling him from his daze. He blinks owlishly, looking around before stumbling after you, wondering where all these people came from.
Youâre wordless as you tug him down the street, a seething little tea kettle, tight-lipped, shoulders set. So what if heâs an android? Doesnât give people the right to cop a feel whenever the urge arises. Sexual harassment is all the same, machine or not.Â
Youâre so busy, heatedly tugging him down the sidewalk towards a cab, you miss his smoldering, scarlet eyes studying the space between your shoulder blades, a sly smile pulling on his lips.Â

In light of the recent Nintendo boycotts, I come bearing a gift
I'll copy/paste a message I've been sharing in discord servers
If you like Nintendo games but hate the company, today's your lucky day
This is totally illegal and you absolutely shouldn't do it because its wrong, so I'm gonna tell you exactly what to do so that you guys know not to do it!
You guys absolutely should not download Azahar Nintendo 3DS emulator and then go onto Citra-emulator.com to find old Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS games and then open the games through Azahar for to play free, including Tomodachi life, ACNH, The Sims 3, Nintendogs + Cats and Flipnote Studio.
You really shouldn't do this stuff its its illegal but if you did it, it would totally work and no one could stop you. Also I work in tech and virus scanned random files and they all came up clean so its safe but its still illegal don't do it................. (But you totally could and no one would stop you)
The Citra emulator doesn't work because the dev got hit with a lawsuit. He went on to work on Azahar. They say not to do this for legal protection, but it fully works.
As far as I know, these games do not have piracy barriers EXCEPT Tomodachi Life (A large red cross over the character faces). I have a debug file that fixes this. If you guys come across another game that has a barrier let me know and I'll search for a debug
Tutorial
Use this link to download the emulator
https://azahar-emu.org/ scroll all the way up to "Download". Download the version that corresponds with your system (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android)
And this link to download the game files
https://citra-emulator.com/ Scroll all the way up to "3DS ROMS". There is an incomplete but still extensive collection of games, both Japanese and English titles as well as Pokemon ROM hacks
On Windows, place the game files on your desktop and open them. It will ask you what app you want to open the file with. Choose "Select app on PC", search for Azahar and select it then press "okay"
(I'm not 100% on the process for Linux and Mac but I'm sure they're similar. On Android I know for certain they are)
You'll know if it works because the game icons will switch from a paper file to the Azahar flower
Once you see these flowers, you are all set and ready to play!
And here is the error fix for Tomodachi life. Download this file and open it like normal. It will ask you what app you wish to open it with. Open it with Azahar.
Don't panic! A lowkey scary looking dialogue box will pop up for a moment and text will very quickly load onto it. This is Azahar reading the file and saving the commands. It will very quickly close itself. Once that window closes itself, you're all set to open Tomodachi Life and play like normal!
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_BQfoGycmpaaOvBEm29LU1FKqy7cgG6j/view?usp=drive_link
(This is an upload from my own personal google drive account. I pinkie promise there's no virus on this. and if there is you have full permission to yell at me and put me on blast)
and that's everything I got! Feel free to reblog with other sites or tips you have! <3 Have fun lovelies!

What's a good cyberpunk RPG with magic/similar powers? Like Shadowrun if that system was good. I want samurai swording, hacking, and spell casting to all be valid character options. Thanks!
THEME: Cyberpunk with Magic
Hello friend! I have a little bit of a range with the options here, some more focused on combat, others more focused on vibes. I hope you find something you like!
Morbo's Catastrophic Sanctuary, by kumada1.
It is the year 2149, and earthâs temperature has stabilized. Thanks to a network of geosynchronous atmosphere control satellites, the tumult of the Climate Era has ended and humanityâs cities have begun to sink back into their normal routines.
Risen Cairo is a metropolis in three layers, built on the banks of the Nile Ocean. Its upper plate is resplendent with solar collectors and mansions overgrown with greenery. Its middle plate houses its working class and plumes with the smoke of its industry. And its lower plate contains those who have not fully integrated into society---late refugees from the Climate Era, or those whose fortunes have tumbled them down onto the lowermost economic rung.
Society is mostly peaceful, with football and airskiff racing being at the top of the news cycle.
Nevertheless, from the shadows, a presence looms.
All this tranquility is bad for business.
Morbo's Catastrophic Sanctuary appears to have both cybernetics and magic, based on the review and comments on the store page. The game is a classless OSR Mork-Borg hack, so I'm assuming character progression is very much up to you as a player, allowing you to pull from a variety of options to create a unique character that fits your interests. What's unique about this game appears to be your Behinder, a unique element of supernatural power special to your character, so I'm assuming that all of your characters will have some form of magic, along with some way of kicking ass.
Threnodyssey, by Superclaymation.
Clock in. Connect phylactery. Log on. Initiate curse ritual. Adjust necro-sync. Launch steel coffin. Bring NECRONAUTS online. Harvest oil. Destroy our enemies. Repair. Resurrect. Repeat. Reward. DEATH IS FLEETING, OIL IS ETERNAL.
A rules-lite customize-heavy 28mm miniatures skirmish game about unending corporate warâŠwith skeletons.
Tactical fans unite! Threnodyssey is for the war-gamer at your table, with magic powers and high-tech equipment part of each faction your players control at the table. The idea of the game is that each player is a high-tech necromancer working for a highly competitive corporation. If you're looking to test your strategy with a cyberpunk flair, this is the game for you. However, if you're more interested in the themes of rebellion, maybe sit this one out.
CRAWLERS 24XX, by tibbius
The hour is late. The sky is dark. A hard rain falls on the weak.
Govcorp rations out education, medicine, magic, and tech to the favored ones. The rest of you have to subsist on odd jobs. Androids, trolls, and the unliving grind out their time in menial roles, constrained by myriad arcane restrictions on their movement, speech, and behavior. Unlicensed witches are subject to burning, and a witch registration is very expensive to get. The only real freedom is the anonymity of the net, but even there Govcorp dominates with advertising and intrusive tracking. You're always just one step ahead of them, you think. But it's hard to be sure. Are they just waiting to trip you up?
Take the roles of revolutionaries, quiet or loud, trying to effect improvements in the daily lives of ordinary people under a dystopic plutarchy reinforced by magic and technology.
24XX as a system takes more from OSR than Shadowrun, although I think that since the rules of these kinds of games are usually pretty light, you as a GM have license to decide where the flavor fits. Some of the character options in this game include a NetMage, which feels like a hacker, a Witch, which gives you spell-casting, and Brute, which is there to fight - weapons are very loosely described, so creating a street samurai is definitely on the table.
RuneHack: The Roleplaying Game, by Proph.
Runehack Role-playing Game (Runehack RPG) is a game about people who strive to change their world. Few kingdoms of old remain because more and more cities worldwide are purchased by the governing mega-corporations. Unlike previous groups that opposed them, Acumen aims to do so without violence by publicly revealing the truths that these companies are trying to hide.
Runehack used to be a traditional fantasy world. It underwent an upheaval after the wilderness was overrun by paramorphâa species of dangerous shapeshifters. Massive city walls protect civilization from these predators. Over time, people reconnected through the invention of runetechâtechnology based on the runic magic inherent to this world.
If you want a cyberpunk setting but less of a focus on violence, you might be interested in Runehack. Characters in this game are encouraged to think about stealth and subterfuge, so I think this is meant to be more of a heist genre, with magic and technology as added flavor.
Chrome The Flesh, by LazerSamuraiGG.
Do you want to upgrade yourself and become a living weapon? Or support your friends with apps, Nano, or drones?
Then what are you waiting for? Download Chrome the Flesh, a new urban fantasy TTRPG for free and paint the town red with your enemies.
One of the character options in this game is the Cyber Samurai, so I think when it comes to flavor, Chrome the Flesh is right on the money. The setting has corrupt corporations, a heavily competitive cyber-criminal underworld, and plenty of technological innovations that you can attach to your body, both legally and illegally. Magic feels more implied than baked in, although I definitely feel like the Medic's healing powers are more magical than technological, so it might be a situation where your mileage may vary. One thing's for sure though, and that's that the colour choices for the PDF really make the style of the game pop.
Also ConsiderâŠ.

007n7 and C00lkid Block Tales AU!
Cross posted on Ao3 under the same name as my Tumblr account!!!
This is going to be a bit long. (Some things will change once Demo 4 comes out)
007n7
Backstory:
He's still a hacker, a really dangerous and powerful one. He mastered code manipulation and even Builderman had trouble with banning him. After a really close call with banhammer, 007n7 decided that he needs someone who will go to front lines for him, so he could still do the hacking without risking being banned. So he got to work and after some time he created C00lkid using android body he created and fragment of his own code (more specifically a part of code that includes memories from his youth where he started taking hacking seriously)
With C00lkid he made a lot hacking attacks, which resulted in him being feared across whole Robloxia. He got banned once, by Builderman and ended up in Banlands, but thanks C00lkid's help he ended up escaping. He decided to lay low for a while and ended up moving to small village [in the area where Demo 4 will take place].
More info:
- He's more emotionally distant than his Forsaken version, and doesn't regret anything he done in the past. He feels proud of his accomplishments.
- He doesn't view C00lkid as actual person, just a bunch of code in android body/ a tool that helps him hack. Despite this he still allows C00lkid to call him dad.
- He has a control panel for C00lkid, where he can also read the mood of his creation or any thought C00lkid sends him, is able to access his point of view and is able to control him (he rarely uses the last option)
- Believes that relationship are nothing more than a distraction and a obstacle.
- Is focused on his work, despite being in hiding from Builderman he hadn't stopped experimenting with the code. But he does it in unsuspicious amount.
- After Builderman went missing (time when game events take place) he became a bit more open with his hacking. Which resulted in getting Shedletsky's attention, who sent Player to investigate [this happens after events of Demo 4]
- 007n7 and Shedletsky came to understanding/ created an alliance. 007n7 can continue his experiments but the bigger ones need to be reported and must have someone trusted by Shed to supervise.
- At first 007n7 was reluctant but with time he realised that this alliance is beneficial for him. And now he legally does illegal things.
- Works as cashier in local market.
- With time people started trusting him more and now he sometimes helps around village, uses his hacking skills in different way than before.
- After spending some more time with Shedletsky and Player he slowly came to conclusion that C00lkid has, in fact, a human traits and he might've been too harsh to him. And he slowly started becoming a bit nicer to C00lkid, although he still has moments where he comes back to old ways.
C00lkid
Backstory:
He's an android created by 007n7 with his sole purpose being a extension of his C00lgui and someone to take blame for his hacking attacks. Because 007n7's code that gave him sentience was from his youth, C00lkid's mental age is around 12 years old. When 007n7 got banned in front of him. C00lkid escaped and since his Ai/code has the ability to analyse and adapt he was able to hack into the Banlands to save his father.
When they started over in the village [Demo 4 area] C00lkid started experiencing being a 'normal' child and tried to make friends, but because of his past everyone stayed away. His dad also weren't a good emotional support, but he just assumed it's normal.
After events of Demo 4, Player is the first one who treats C00lkid like actual child and not deadly hacker or line of code. Which resulted with other village kids and adults to become more open.
More info:
- C00lkid believes everything that his dad says and thinks that there's nothing wrong with the way he treats him.
- He knows he's artificial life and he is okay with this. He uses it to his advantage.
- Because his code is able to self learn, he's incredibly smart. And uses this to prank people. (He's a mischievous little guy). He especially enjoys changing people's clothes into Team C00lkid all red 'uniform'.
- Loves helping out around village, with his unnatural strength and hacking skills people learned to appreciate him. (He's more liked than 007n7)
- His power is mostly locked away now, so he incidentally won't cause a disaster.
- C00lkid begged Player to teach him how to sword fight, after being approved by Shedletsky they started meeting up and train with wooden swords.
- He meet Red and Blue Noobs, when Player was babysitting them and they became friends (especially him and Red). Let's just say that Player had a eventful day.
- C00lkid is on Hatred's hit list. Not even Player knows why.
- Cherishes every bit of attention/care he gets from his dad. And was overjoyed when he started to give him more attention.
- Has trust issues when it comes to anything related to Builderman and Banhammer (because of his dad getting banned and what he heard from Players rant about Hatred disguising as Builderman)
- Enjoys copying/mimicing people.
- Want's to become champion of Swords Fights On The Heights

Since I just saw a pretty cool post with Connor's idle animation, it's time to talk about the nature of these little calibrations he does all the time, because they fascinate me.
I know there's this idea in the fandom that all androids need to recalibrate from time to time, and that they especially need to do this after stress or exertion. If you have ever read any fic with an android from this game that involves sex, you know what kind of stress it usually is.
Personally, I'm not a fan of "humanizing" the machines. I think androids are fun because they are inhuman and their objective reality is completely different from ours. The fact that they are constantly aware of every single process in their bodies is fascinating, isn't it? Since they can understand humans and speak fluently, they have to run several language modules all the time. Plus security modules to prevent hacking. Plus visual recognition, plus all the specialized software for their primary functions.
What I mean is that even your standard domestic android like Kara is an immensely complex machine, running thousands of processes simultaneously just to fold Todd's laundry or talk to him about dinner. Why would she need to recalibrate? To take some of the load off her systems? To do a basic check-in of her body? All my parts are still connected and functioning normally? Something like that?
Meanwhile, Connor is much, much more complex than someone like Kara or even Marcus. All those analysis modules he runs all the time, all those database connections he constantly maintains. On top of that, he has to be faster and more agile than any existing android, and he has to do combat, reconstruction, and pre-construction. His "brain" has to be so fucking fast.
And that's what fascinates me. I think Connor's consciousness and how fast he thinks actually affects how he's connected to his body. His coin, all of his complex recalibration movements are necessary because all of his immense processing power is contained in such a small body. He literally has to slow himself down to just move properly. How cool is that?
I have this idea that Connor is actually much bigger than his body, and his consciousness is only partially uploaded to each of his chassises, and the only time we see him "whole" is during his conversations with Amanda. This may explain why he can upload himself on other bodies and why his calibrations are so elaborate. He needs to do more to connect with his physical body. (I actually drafted a whole fic that explores this idea)
