Concept: tabletop RPG set in one of those allegorical brainfuck high school settings where the educational system is a metaphor for patriarchy or fascism or whatever the fuck, except the players take on the roles of regular background students who are just there to learn math. The protagonist of the notional cartoon series they inhabit is a rarely glimpsed background character whose journey of personal revelation is inscrutable and often absurd to the player characters, whose own goal is simply to survive to the end of the semester. Each scenario is obliquely based on the premise of the current "episode", which is not explained, like everybody wakes up as bears one day, then next week they're back to normal and never find out why.

I have a lot of criticisms of most "fantasy anime" type RPGs from Western authors, but I have to grant that it's at least conceptually very funny when they offer "guy who got isekaied from present-day Earth" as a standard playable archetype. Like, the thematic foundation of your stereotypical isekai anime dork only works if they're either the sole protagonist or part of a group of characters who all got isekaied in the same event, so the outcome of transplanting them into the kitchen-sink ensemble framework of your typical tabletop RPG is usually hilarious. Yeah, we have a dude who was magically transported from another world, but the story isn't about him, so in practice it ends up getting treated as a mildly interesting backstory detail that will never come up in play, like the rogue's absurdly trauma-rich childhood on the streets of Capitalcityville or the wizard's impossibly complicated romantic history.
