I didn't send the elitist ask but have also noticed it - both in the "types of people she now hangs out with" that the other anon mentioned and her more recent style choices being labelled as "new money" (the comments on the ts style posts are rank these days - not blaming her in anyway, that's just where I see them). I think its fine to hate the logo outfits but they always bring it back to travis and his friends influence and "new money." And the phrase new money always raises my hackles - it's so coded in both classism and racism.

I would wonder what the point of the pap walk was if they were a couple. Obviously publicity, though it feels weird for that to be the only benefit of revealing your relationship. What did that walk actually do for their relationship? It wasn't a prelude to any further public dating. No added freedoms. No ah well we've done the hard part now, let's be visibly a couple.

They then spent 7 months low key again, no lovestagram, no sightings, no "claiming" - I hate that word - no actual dating. Not even any pap photos or sightings after that... and then they broke up.

If they were going to step out into the open to reveal the relationship, why did they immediately step back in?

Maybe they didn't like the attention? But then... Wouldn't that have happened already with the leaked photos though? Photoshopped or not, there's enough people who believe they're real that they'd already had a litmus test of sentiment, no? It feels even weirder to take two steps out then go back in again.

I don’t hate fruitcake, I think they’re cute, but I hate that fruitcake overshadows so many other ships. Like, as you mentioned, mirrorberry is so interesting! There’s so much potential with them! And there are so many other interesting ships that people just. Ignore. Because of fruitcake.

And not only that! Cosmo and Sprout are such interesting characters on their own, but people seem to always focus on them as a pairing. I wish people would examine them as individuals, they’re both really interesting.

Anyways. Yeah, I feel your pain anon. Cosmo and Sprout are cute, but it’s important to remember that they are NOT a canon couple !! There are other ships out there, please don’t forget that !!

It makes me cringe though seeing Austin tag along with Kaia to all these parties, concerts, and social gatherings with all her fellow rich nepo babies.

I love Austin dearly but that age gap has never sat well with me. I get secondhand embarrassment for him watching him go to the Taylor Swift concert (i'm probably projecting a little here because sorry I can't stand TS), Gracie's concert, fanfic readings, bdsm parties, cringe family halloween parties (dude looked so uncomfortable), etc.

Austin loves real bands like Radiohead and stuff. He never goes to things he actually likes anymore. It's always stuff Kaia wants to be seen at with him.

It's okay girl. I think a lot of other Austin fans (some who even love him dearly), feel the same way that you do at times about this relationship. To me, it's so embarrassing. 😩

I've never been comfortable with the age gap thing either, but I've just shrugged my shoulders about it since it's been almost 3 years at this point. 🙄

But my gut tells me that he would do better with a woman closer to his own age (and maturity level 👀).

I actually like Taylor Swift's music (don't hate me! 🫣) and I'm around Austin's age lol. I'm not a "Swiftie" or anything lol, but I do appreciate her music and music-writing abilities. I just love a lot of different genres of music. But I get what you mean.

Also, I wanted to clarify something that one of the previous anons mentioned regarding Austin and Vanessa, the breakup, wanting marriage and kids, etc. -- In reality, we don't know for sure if Austin wants marriage or kids or not, so I wouldn't go so far as to say that Austin and Vanessa broke up because "he didn't want marriage or kids". 🤔 I think that is kind of jumping to conclusions a little bit?

He and Vanessa were talking engagement before they broke up, so I assume that maybe it was something that he wanted eventually?

Perhaps though, he just didn't want marriage and kids with her, or, maybe he just didn't want those things at that time in his life. He was still not where he wanted to be career-wise at that time, so I can kind of see him not really wanting to be strapped down to being a husband and father when he didn't feel set in his career yet.

Just a thought.

anon from last time (or at least last post) and IM BACK I FINISHED THE FIC. m gonna explode, dickriding your writing again, stuff i didnt mention last time is that you write patrick's pov amazingly, it feels very him and you nail it. the descriptions and in depths of shit is so good, and you tend leave a good setting every scene to imagine in the head as it goes down. and i love that the sexual scenes are never just sexual scenes to be there, they add and i love patrick's conscious rambling while it all happens and his own little details. also, how you write side-ish characters like price and all, i think you accomplish their personalitys or at least dialogue really nicely

now the way the last chapter goes is amazing i love the random switch up with a script like writing and i hate-love that you leave it open ended, more love really, duh

the little hints that paul may or may not be there, that he really killed him and this is all just perhaps in his head, mixing in and out of reality - or really it's just patrick's nervous conscious blending in the realities of his mind and digging himself a bigger mental hole and he is alive but still avoiding him and patrick is hallucinating him - or that really paul is there and patrick is losing it and shutting him out and making himself think paul has gone away but he hasnt. at all.

Hi Marte. So I'm probably completely wrong here but I'm just theorizing. Harry and Louis have talked about wanting kids since they were young and Harry mentioned it again in HH promo. If they had plans to eventually CO and start a family then would they get involved with beards who stipulate in a contract that they can't CO? Would they agree to that? Harry would be digging himself into a hole by adding more and more beards and making it increasingly harder for himself. There is probably something in the contract to say that either party can't CO until 5 or 10 years after the relationship ends, or that they have to keep up with the pretense that the relationship was real. But I can't imagine Harry would agree to a contract knowing he could never CO. So there are 2 options here. That they plan on never CO or they agree to a contract knowing that they will be able to CO at some point. The only thing is that I wonder if they were to CO if there were some grounds that the other party could sue them for damage to their image but maybe they can come up with a way that does minimum damage. In Leo and Bradley's case with Gigi, I don't get the impression that Leo and Bradley want to CO so it might not matter so much to them. But I can't imagine Harry and Louis wanting to be closeted forever. If that was the case then wouldn't they shut down any speculation about their sexuality? It would be so easily to do a written interview or in depth IG post talking about how harmful the speculation has been, or they even could get fake married. On the other hand, speculation about their sexuality is good publicity for them. But I'm not sure they would welcome the speculation if they planned on never CO. Wouldn't that be like queerbaiting? I don't think kids are a priority for them right now. They're a celebrity gay couple, kids will basically mean the end of both their careers. I don't see either of them wanting to be the primary care taker while the other one's on tour. That wouldn't be fair either. So they will both have to be there and be present for their kids. I think they'd both want that too, in 7-10 years or so.

I don't think H or L would go into a contract willingly with a beard, stipulating that they can't come out. But all this started in 1D when they were young and impressionable, and i'm not sure if they knew the consequences of what they were forced/pressured/convinced into by Sony. Bar TS or Kendall maybe, i think H's team has been the one in power and written the contract stipulations. I don't think H would have put himself in a situation where it would be neccessary to agree to such a term. So i don't think that's what's stopping him from coming out. Bg is a bigger hindrance for them.

I agree if they never plan to come out all the queercoding, fights with management and bargaining they've done have been pretty pointless. It doesn’t make sense as a theory based on all we've observed over the years. I'm pretty sure they both would come out this second if they could. H and L have always given attention to and praised people who have come out. Like L with the rainbow apple t-shirt for tim cook and H with the michael sam football shirt. If they never plan to come out, because they can't or because they don't want to, we would have seen a totally different behaviour from them. What on earth is the point of singing i love him i hate it if you don’t want the world to know you're gay and in a relationship, because you'll never be out? It's not queerbaiting, it's queercoding and wanting people to see beyond the stunts and lies, and see the truth. Speculation about their sexuality isn't good publicity if you have to go on twitter and shut it down, making yourself look like a right douche and a homophobe by doing it. It's harmed Louis' image and popluarity immensely, both among fans, the gp and journalists.

Since they want out, there must be a way out. Louis wouldn't be all faith in the future if there never was a way out for them. Harry wouldn't be jumping from stunt to stunt if he's in this for life. He'd find a more permanent solution. If there weren't a way out they would have given up the fight long ago. They're still fighting.

Hello! The LATAM dates anon is me. Ahh sorry I gave you a bit of a chaotic ask! I’m not sure if LATAM really isn’t selling well - Lou’s Mexico dates look sold out - but I read stuff on Twitter via various fan accounts that made it seem as though sales in some countries were slow and they were really trying to drum up sales by giving tickets away etc. I also saw a couple of other tumblr blogs mentioning poor sales but I realise now these accounts are kind of ‘Louis hate accounts’ (urghh) and they’ll say anything to put him down.

I guess I just wondered if you’d read anything different about LATAM? I want it to be amazing for him. He’s such a gem and I really want him to do have great shows out there.

Alrighty, let’s look at LATAM ticket sales. Anon, welcome to the show.

Let’s look at some tickets available, capacities, and then I’ll chat more about venue modes and draping etc for some more context.

So, the best selling show in LATAM looks to be Arena VFG, in Guadalajara, Mexico. I’ve had a bit of a look online, and it looks like the show is entirely sold out. That has a capacity of 15,000 , and looks full concert mode, but that doesn’t mean he will have use of all 15,000. The capacity would prooooobably look more like 11,000 - 12,000ish, as an estimate. I haven’t been to the venue so I can’t be 100% on that, but they’re not selling 15,000 tickets to it. We’ll circle back to this later.

Then, his show at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, is a race track used for Formula 1 events, music festivals, and stuff like that. It’s said to have a capacity of 110,000, but of course would be a reduced mode due to the fact that well… that’s pretty impossible for any artist to sell out. Hell, TS’s biggest concert ever was 96,000 people at the MCG in Melbourne, Australia in 2024. Ed Sheeran did 109,500 people in one night at the MCG in 2023. Harry’s biggest show in Australia for LOT was 69,512 people at Accor Stadium in Sydney, which for both show nights, had a capacity of 70,170 people (the first night sold 66,791).

Louis’ show at Arena 1 in Lima, Peru, has a promotion on until the 15 Match 2024 for 25% off certain tickets (the promotion started on 2 November 2023). It can hold up to 16,000 people, and by the looks of it is mainly used for concerts, not sporting events. So they could be selling an amount of tickets that’s closer to their actual capacity, as opposed to the other venues. Again, I haven’t been to it so I can’t be sure. The discount on these tickets, however, is only for people using payments of “Credit, Debit, Business, and Working Capital Cards”. We see similar promos with other artists, such as MasterCard pre sales, American Express presales, etc., but I haven’t seen discounted tickets like this for other artists off the top of my head. However…

I looked at Louis’ 1st June 2022 show at Arena Peru Explanada in Lima, Peru, and according to Team Louis News on Twitter, it sold out. They said it has a capacity of 15,000 people, but again, doesn’t mean every seat was utilised, but it doesn’t look like it’s used for sport, so they could’ve gotten close. And, funnily enough, at this arena and show, there was a 15% discount if you paid with an Interbank Credit or Debit card.

A lot of stadiums are owned/sponsored by banks, or insurance companies, or these companies may have a large share of profit for the money they invest in it etc., and it’s a great way of advertising. Signing up for a bank for discounts of tickets at their venue(s)??? Yes please. So, you can see the appeal. And I can 100% guarantee you that this is a partnership and a condition of said bank investing in the stadium. A quick look at their other shows, every artist (Lauren Jauregui from Fifth Harmony, Paramore etc.) has a special discount based on if they used that bank’s cards to pay for tickets. So it’s not “oh louis could NEVER sell enough tickets, he’s a flop” and whatever these losers say, it’s that certain arenas (clearly more prominent in LATAM) will have discounts on tickets due to the partnership with the bank that invests in them.

let’s circle back to capacities. this frustrates me to no end because people throw these numbers around all the time and it just… that’s just not how it works.

You can find a capacity of a venue pretty easily when you google said venue, and often people go “oh wow, this artist is playing a venue that holds 100,000 people!!!!” which is yeah, you’re right, that venue does hold 100,000 people, but that depends entirely on the mode, stage setup, and how big the artist is. Also, if it’s used as a sports stadium as well, it’s gonna hold a hell of a lot more people than a concert mode, because they can utilise every seat. You can’t just sit behind the stage at a concert, but you can sit anywhere during a football match. So that’s a major difference in ticket sales already.

If you’re someone like Harry, who has a big old T catwalk and a larger built out base/main stage, that’s gonna lower the capacity of the venue. So then they make more of it GA on the ground as opposed to seating, to make the capacity higher again. But he plays stadiums, which are used for sport, and so he’s not utilising the whole capacity as it is.

BUT Ed Sheeran did the thing.

At the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground, used for cricket and AFL etc.), Ed Sheeran sold sooooo many more tickets than TS, because he had a 360 rotating stage in the middle of the stadium. SUCH a good idea, but that doesn’t work for an artist like TS or Harry. They perform and run up and down cat walks and dance and flail about, Ed Sheeran doesn’t. So, yep, the stage setup can seriously affect the capacity.

Then, estimated ticket sales. Louis sold out his last time in Peru, at a different arena, but it’s pretty safe to say he’ll sell out this one too (hopefully). But, that arena last year might not have been utilised at 15,000. So it’s a bit of guess work too, and finding out what he sold last year (which is easy if the same promoter is hosting but idk I haven’t looked that deep in hahaha but I’d say it’s the same one still).

And when tickets go on sale, they’ll release a certain amount (obviously smaller amounts in pre sales to see how it’s selling), but the ticket website doesn’t tell you how many tickets are left. Why would they? That defeats the purpose of trying to tell people that they might miss out. If the website says there is 10,000 tickets left, you’ll wait til closer to the time to buy one because you’re not worried. But, that skews ticket sales and a show can be cancelled over that, which is happening a fair bit at the moment with ticket reselling websites that aren’t authorised by the venue. I can go into ticketing and ticket reselling further if you’d like but yeah… best we stay on topic.

So, if a show sells enough to at least make a small profit, but isnt sold out regardless of capacity size, the promoter will often put a thing called “drapes” over a certain amount of seating to the side of the stage. These are just big black curtains that cover those seats to make it look more full. It’s what you’d call a “reduced mode”. And, that’s also a way they can use bigger venues if an artist won’t quite sell it out, but they’re too big for a smaller scale show and either don’t wanna do a couple of nights in a row or the smaller venue is super booked out etc. And, artists can sell out a reduced mode, which is great PR for them.

Anyway, there are a million variables that happen with shows. But, capacity does not equal ticket sales, discounts at venues does not equal the size of the artist, and I’m sure Louis is gonna do great in LATAM. I’ve seen so many people excited!!!

this is for the anon discussing how Swift felt: I think it's very important to point out that Swift started to do things early in the relationship that made Joe come very close to breaking up with her before Lover even came out. It's emotionally exhausting to be in a relationship with someone who literally makes it seem endearing that they argued a lot and many times Joe would try to keep the peace. Also Joe's family experienced important deaths from 2021 to even Oct. of last year. These are people known his entire life, not to mention they directly affected his parents as well. Whatever was happening, their relationship aggravated the negative emotions Joe experienced, and I'm not surprised Joe didn't marry her because Swift isn't exactly someone I would confide in. There is always risk of a breakup and we see how she writes about her exes. Joe was there through the whole Jake hate saga and he chose to face whatever instead of marrying her which requires having complete trust in your partner. I think the simple truth is, Joe never felt he could trust her or have an authentic lasting relationship with her. She really isn't the type when she doesn't even know who she is and switches narratives all the time. So there is Joe glowing and genuinely happy despite everything because living without her and all the anxiety their relationship fuelled is 1000x better than facing a nasty divorce. This is also a guy who knows what relationships WITHOUT anxiety is like too.

Joe knows healthy relationships and I think wanted it to work with her. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have stayed six years. But yes, he faced major things towards the end and when you don’t trust you partner- your anxiety is worse. I’m sure Joe confided in his parents but doubtful he did with ts.

Castles Crumbling - It was an experience considering how I feel about her now,,, and I think a previous anon talked abt how this feels more reflective of her downfall pre-Rep and I agree. Maybe she had this song concept during SN but it feels like she wrote it more recently. That aside, I think this might be my fave so far- everything was well done

Foolish One - Also nicely fits in with SN but I wasn't feeling it. Also between this and Castles Crumbling, they feel like they could have been written more recently.

Overall, she does sound bored and seemed to be just wanting to get this over and done with. There's barely any raw emotions or theatrics to that I loved so much from the OG album. Still in a way I'm glad I finally listened to this. I started being her fan when SN first came out and now I'm closing that chapter with the TV - feels very poetic.

I get what you are saying. My issue isn't with the crowdshots right, my issue also had nothing to do with the fact she is a woman. I just feel like for example Lautner, actually likes football. Which, I have 0 clue if she liked football prior to the relationship, but it wasn't anything ever discussed that I know of. Lautner has mentioned it. Like, I am happy TS and Kelce are together and their relationship is going well. It looks extremely cute and I am glad they are happy.

Tbh I think most of my issues stem from the bullies I had which I mentioned. I would LOVE to distance myself. I can't. I don't talk to them intentionally. I got a job and signed a contract and one unfortunately they got on a month after me and we have to work together. The other is dating my sibling, and even though I told him all that she did (and its more than just what I said) he refuses and said she has changed. I don't really associate with them except for when we happen to be at the same holidays together at our parents.

The other two I was able to get away from almost completely, blocked on everything. I just can't with those two (especially cause the one who is dating my sibling is in a group chat with me)
