I wish Severus go a Wizard Card, and Older of Merlin. I believe he, it just whenever JK, talks about its causes fights. Even on Pottermort we barely get anything about Severus Snape.

I agree.

I think the problem with the anti-snape crowd (and i’m talking the true antis, not just people who dislike the character but understand people who do) is that they are entirely ignorant to the numerous lessons that Severus Snape teaches us:

1) That no one is wholly good or bad. Most of Rowling’s characters in the series embody this. No one is completely good nor evil (obviously there are exceptions). 

2) Not everyone is who they seem. Some people put on a mask. in this case, Severus had to wear one for so long.

3) Nothing is black and white. Nothing is straight forward. 

4) Abuse affects everyone differently. And many abusive situations are very different, and thus have different outcomes.

Unfortunately despite studies that say those who have read Harry Potter, tend to have more open minds, they are close minded about Severus. And Are very toxic about him too. And I think Rowling has decided that it’s not a battle worth fighting because they didn’t get any of those lessons while reading, and they still refuse to from the fans that are fighting for a bare minimum of understanding.

A small part of me thinks that Severus was always her favorite character. It would explain why she put so much into him. SO much soul and back story and love and everything. And  I think Fandom made that a secret shame. Because she’s only human. 

But maybe i’m reading too much into it.
