trains of thought are so weird y’all

today, a friend said she headcanons Hunter as aroace. I have absolutely no problems with that, despite not agreeing at all. I start thinking about why I have my own headcanons regarding the subject matter. obviously I have personal desires for self-shipping reasons, plus I tend to project on the sergeant more often than not LOL. but I also realized a lot of my reasoning comes from the og unfinished TCW arc where we first saw TBB. I’ve always headcanoned Hunter and Wrecker as the horny ones of the group thanks to the Padme ship art thing haha.

then that got me thinking of other headcanons I have based off what we saw in the unfinished arc. mostly the thing with Crosshair taking naps all the time. I love the headcanon that Crosshair can fall asleep anywhere with ease. it fits his character.

but then I remembered The Solitary Clone. how we saw Crosshair struggling to sleep in his quarters. and now I have a new headcanon that Cross used to be able to fall asleep anywhere while with TBB. because he had nothing to worry about. sleep always came easy to him as long as he was with his brothers. then the Empire happened. his brothers left and he got a new squad. sure, he got to keep his old bed on Kamino. but it wasn’t the same. sleep began to elude him. then the fall of Kamino happened. he was stuck on a wet platform for an entire month. did he get any sleep at all?

has this man gotten a single good night of sleep since staying with the Empire?

he honestly probably had the best rest he’s ever gotten after passing out from exhaustion after shooting Lieutenant Nolan. and now he doesn’t even have a choice in the matter, constantly being put under for various experiments.

so all I can think of now is how well he’ll sleep after being reintegrated into the family. it might take some time; PTSD isn’t cured overnight after all. but the idea of him having a comfy bed to sleep in, his family nearby, and waking up to a beautiful day on Pabu… he can finally rest. he has nothing to worry about. he can sleep anywhere again.

all this rattling around my brain now because I was thinking about horny I think Hunter is ROFL
