i took a shower and the whole time i couldnt stop thinking about how important i think sparring is in dinaurian culture. its kinda even a thing shown in the games when you beat dynal in combat- he made it a completely unbiased, fair fight, and accepted defeat when he lost. although, granted, thats just kind of game mechanics in general. beat bad guy and he loses JFBSHDBD

but i still think that dynal could have totally like. straight up ended the pcs life right then and there if he really wanted to continue with project mother planet. so could have raptin and duna if they wanted. they are dinosaur people and you are a fleshy little mammal. but they didnt.... i think their whole culture is heavily honor based. even if you have a good argument its probably looked down upon to continue even after youve been bested in combat. fucked up a little but your claws are sharper than your words

i think that their horns formed early on in their evolution, early dinaurians would have used their horns to spar for one reason or another, and this behavior would have been ingrained in their society over millions of years. like goats DBFHDBFN but theres absolutely some cultural significance in sparring or battling, mostly to settle disputes when words are meaningless, its just kind of an instinct. you know how it is. but now i imagine horns are mostly just for display, while battle forms are used for sparring and dispute settling. some dinaurians have them and some dont. sometimes they are carved, painted over, peirced, or shaved down all together.
