hello everyone twt suspended me for a week (theres still 3-4 days left) so i have been a little bit bored but i figured i should post here anyways siiigghh

ok so the want of making an elphaba fashion exploration has been there since ive watched the movie but the urge really came to me after i explained to my friends how NOT masculine elphaba's outfit was in one of my drawings (i doodled the full outfit in the top right corner)

it really irked me when multiple comments were made abt how i was part of the ppl masculinizing cynthia's elphaba when i really put thought and effort into elphaba's fashion (as well as glinda's) in every drawing i make of her. like the cut of her sweater and the frills on her pants are very feminine-- pants are not inherently masculine (and neither are muscles but thats another conversation). i did want to explore her fashion with only pants to show how feminine pants outfits could be but i had admittedly not drawn her in as many skirts/dresses as glinda so i decided i should.

HOWEVER i do want to add. galinda's fashion is like. hyper fucking feminine. next to her, anyone would look less feminine... i mean she wears sm pink and bows and frills and shit... i find it a bit of a disservice to many artists for ppl to complain about elphaba's feminity compared to galinda's when they just dont wear the same kind of clothes.

okay a bit of a commentary not about my drawings at all but : theres also the comments on how ppl would never make galinda wear masc clothing when. thats simply not true a lot of ppl call her an egg even AND the movie versions of them are not the first. i suspect many ppl would use the same or similar hcs they had for other versions of gelphie and transfer them over. WHICH to be clear there is a problem of masculinizing black women in fandom and as an artist it is my responsibility to portray her with utmost respect. im not saying racial biases dont have a play in ppl's headcanons, but i do think excluding the history of the fandom of wicked from these hcs makes it... less true? less of a full truth maybe? do you know what i mean... as is the story of wicked, i think the issue is nuanced. also this might be only a twitter issue as people on twt do make things black and white often.

anyways! back to the fashion, im no expert either i just thought itd be nice to try my hand at it!!

A 1k steddie ficlet I wrote based on an idea of mine and I delivered it to twt so I thought I should post it here too lol. If the formatting is wrong or it has typos just shhhhh

For about what felt like the millionth time in his ten long years of life Eddie Munson was wishing to be anywhere but school.

The experience of getting bullied was nothing compared to the humiliation of Valentine’s Day. It was no secret the Munsons weren’t the richest but the crappy capitalist holiday made it clear, while everyone else in his class had pretty pink and red cards with some dumb sucker attached, Eddie came empty handed. Before moving in with Wayne Eddie might have been mad about not having anything to pass out cause Dad made another mistake, but with Uncle Wayne he wasn’t upset. Money was already tight before Eddie came along, and it didn’t matter really to him anyway. Wasn’t like anyone in his class wanted one from him, being the poor kid who got held back caused his pool of friends to be lacking.

With his chin on the desk, Eddie watched as the students before him got called to pass around their grams. And every time without fail they skipped putting any in his valentines box. It’s the same thing that happened every year before, his title of weirdo getting broadcasted to other students like a warning that screamed, “Interact with him and you will become an outcast too.” Even after experiencing it year after year it always hurt.

The teacher continued to call the names and with every pass Eddie felt the familiar burn of holding back tears, the embarrassment increasing. Right as he was about to hide his head in his arms to allow some tears to escape he saw a motion he hadn’t seen before.

Eddie quickly looked to see who was attached to the hand and found a sight he never expected.

Just as quick as he arrived, Steve moved on to continue putting the cards in the other students boxes but that didn’t matter to Eddie. No, all that mattered was the fact Steve Harrington gave Eddie Munson a valentines card. A boy with shiny hair and the most picture perfect smile gave the trailer park trash a gram.

Trying to be subtle, Eddie grabbed the box on his desk to get the card, not like a miracle was going to happen twice in one day. Gently pulling the sole gram out Eddie read what it said, “Right Off The Bat Valentine You Made A Hit With Me,” with the text was the image of a black bear dressed as a baseball player using a bat. Eddie looked back up to Steve’s seat and watched as Steve sat back down and resumed whatever task the teacher had given to pass the time.

Eddie had avoided looking at Harrington or any of his friends for too long in fear of what would come from his stares and he liked walking home not bruised physically or mentally thank you very much. While staring at Steve, Eddie started to think back to all his interactions with the boy with the pretty dots.

Steve himself had never said something mean to Eddie, never laid a finger on him or anything. Sure he didn’t stop his friends from doing so, but Eddie swore he could see a look of displeasure on Harrington’s face sometimes. One time, Steve even tried to help Eddie salvage some drawings Tommy had ripped apart. It was a lost cause, and the moment Hagan called his name Steve softly apologized and raced back to the freckle faced jerk, but it was the thought that counts.

So busy reminiscing Eddie didn’t even notice the teacher skipping his name when it came to the M’s portion. Eddie didn’t notice much else that day unless it included Steve.

When Eddie got back home he carefully zipped open his banged up backpack and grabbed out the gram. Chucking his bag to the floor without looking, Eddie walked to his is room, successfully dodging the door frame he just barely noticed. He ran, and after aggressively kicking off his shoes jumped onto the bed. With his hands raised in the air Eddie locked his sight on the card. As more images of Steve popped into his mind Eddie could feel his smile taking over his face. He felt like a shaken soda ready to burst, he was ready to explode due to all the excitement. The butterflies in his stomach were at critical capacity, he couldn’t help but giggle as he drew the card to his chest and clung onto it.

When Wayne came home he found Eddie lying on his bed kicking his feet in the air, tracing the words on the card with a smile showing off his dimples. When Wayne knocked on the frame Eddie shot up like a rocket, “Uncle Wayne! I got one!!” Eddie scrambled to get off his bed while ensuring the gram didn’t get damaged. “Look Uncle Wayne I actually got one!!”

Wayne put his hand on Eddie’s head to stop him from running right into him then moved his hand the his shoulder, “You got one what?” Eddie shoved the card into Wayne’s face, ”A Valentine’s Day card!” Eddie brought the card back down and went back to staring at it, “Ive never gotten one before.” While Eddie was softly smiling down at the gram he missed the frown cross Wayne’s face. Kid was excited like he won a million dollars, all over something that other kids would take for granted ninety nine percent of the time.

“Well kid, that sounds mighty kind of them. Who gave it to ya?”

“Steve Harrington!” Simply saying the name caused Eddie to start dancing on his feet as he started waving the card around. Wayne couldn’t quite believe his ears, a Harrington doing something nice to a boy like Eddie seemed unlikely.

“Really now, little Harrington gave you it?”

“Mhm,” Eddie aggressively shook his head up and down and started cradling the card to his chest as he continued, “He smiled at me and everything, and he actually is really sweet, I mean clearly cause he gave me a card, but he actually helped me against some bullies, well he tried to, but its the thought that counts! And I mean it really checks out he would be nice, he’s like a carbon copy of a prince from a fairytale with his shiny hair and-“

“Alighty son I get your point,” Wayne said while letting a small chuckle out. Eddie was twirling a piece of his hair with a finger and his face grew as red as a sunburn while he babbled on about Steve Harrington. Wayne knew later on he would have to talk to Eddie about how people may react to him calling another boy beautiful but for now he could enjoy Eddie’s reaction to a having a crush. Laying his hand back on Eddie’s head he ruffled his curls causing giggles to pour out of the boy while he cried uncle.

“Sounds like a real charmer, I’m happy for you.”

“Thanks Uncle Wayne. Oh! Do you think you could help me keep it safe, I don’t want to damage it.”

“Sure kid, let’s get this little card a proper home.” After giving Eddie the rest of the day to smile sweetly at the card they found the perfect spot for the card. All throughout middle and high school that card would remain there, a reminder of a time Eddie experienced any sort of kindness in the shit show that is Hawkins.

It would stay there until it was finally time for Eddie to leave the nest. With a subtle smile on his face Wayne watched as Eddie turned pink while talking to his boyfriend/soon to be roommate Steve Harrington, in his hands the small little card. Faded with time but still clear enough to tell the basics. Wayne watched as a large smile grew on Steve’s face, a look of pure adoration aimed at Wayne’s nephew. When Eddie finished talking from behind his curtain of hair Steve pulled him in and started leaving quicks kisses all over Eddie’s face.

Wayne watched as the couple giggled at each other and saw Eddie gently place the card into a small box holding other photos and keep sakes, a reminder of where their story began.

This crack grew in me and now I'm suffering for them after the last chapter. In a kind universe, Higuruma and Nanami adopted Yuji and they live happily and happily!!! I think the two go together a lot and the fanfics are adorable! These Old Yaoi will be the death of me!!!!

They've come down a little, but man I still love them!!! Even more so now because my thirst for Choso awakened and I started reading fanfics of him being a good big brother and I fell to my knees! ramble of my scattered thoughts on the piece under cut as usual cuz i love talking 😋

This has been an idea I've been cookin for a while, and it was so cluttered and unlike any other ensemble piece I've made... and I decided I oughta do it anyway. I love Miku, I love Vocaloid, and I wanted to do something really ambitious and crazy for her anniversary. Crazy that she's turning her "canon" age this year TwT

I had the idea floating around since like, May...? And then finally started acting on it around June 18. I'm terrible with deadlines, obvious with how I can never make a silly birthday post in time, so I started wayyyy ahead to make sure I have some room to be lazy lol, especially with an idea as ambitious as this.

This was finished on July 12! So I had to sit on this for an annoying amount of time. Very difficult for someone like me who just wants to talk about everything I'm working on to the masses. But at the very least, that gave me the time to work on the draft for this post.

Here's some ~behind the scenes~ scribbles leading up to the finished piece!

Left is the chicken scratch plan i made in my handy dandy notebook (whenever things are getting real and ambitious, i always made a rough ROUGH plan in there. Usually I'd do a rough pass of the full thing, but this was too complicated for me to do traditionally. I majorly benefited from digital tools to make this possible). CyberDiva and CyberSongman were considered, but I ended up cutting them cuz I just didn't feel like drawing them sorry-- (just pretend they're off to the side. They gave Ruby and Clara the pizza lol). Right is the "final" completed sketch (before I decided to include Chika mid-way through coloring and VY1 and VY2 near the finish line). I started by drawing the main "groups" separated on a different canvas so I can plop them into the main canvas for easy rearranging and transforming. However I got lazy and ended up drawing everyone in the bottom right corner directly on the canvas since I liked seeing the big picture of everyone's positions. Y'know.

Almost excluded Chika! But I like her design so much that I just felt like including her last-minute. You win this time, Chika fans. VY1 and VY2 were very close to being cut! I added them when I began doing the banner and thought "eh why not". I figured their non-human designs would be pretty easy to include pushed back in the bg. Ik VY1 is more commonly associated with the fan design, but I referenced the hairpin cuz it was simpler and the fan looked very annoying to draw 😭

Sorry to the fans of many Vocaloids I had to cut because this composition was insane enough as is. I promise I wanted to include fellas like CUL, LUMi and Sachiko 😭 I will admit I was a little biased on who I wanted to include over others. Like, I don't normally care for Bruno and Clara, but I wanted to get some more international 'loids in the mix. Also wanted to stick in the realm of official designs and not fan-designs since, as much as I can appreciate those, are just a whole "wait who is that guy supposed to be" situation I didn't wanna deal with. I also did wanna include even more character references through the balloons, but they ended up being kind of ugly and overcomplicated the BG :,) (Oh, and while this was originally planned to be a Vocaloid-only piece, I did end up including Teto, Neru, and Haku 'cuz those are Miku's besties dude!!! They may not be Officially in the club but they're her girls and it would be criminal to not invite them to her birthday).

Anyway, this project marks the first time I've drawn a lot of Vocaloids. Lily, Piko, Rana, Yuki, Yukari, Miki, Maika, and many more lol. All of 'em I've heard or seen in passing, but now I actually drew them, and some have really cool and fun designs!! I got into a habit of drawing Merli after this since I just love her design for example. And I'll probably be drawing more lol!!

Oh and the last thing I'll add for now!! The cake is indeed made up of various song references!! I wanted to reference the "big four" producers, just absolute icons in Vocaloid history. The pink/black checkerboard is "World is Mine" (Ryo), the crescents on the side is "Rolling Girl" (Wowaka), the smiley faces is "Matryoshka" (Hachi), and the three hearts on the side is "The Vampire" (DECO*27, which is sort of a symbol of his whole Mannequin album tbh). I know "The Vampire" is a bit modern but I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head. I'm a fake DECO fan I know 😔 "Matryoshka" was originally going to be referenced in the colors of the candles but believe me it looked like shit so I just went for something else last minute 😭

Truly one of my/everyone's okkg moment is probably the one from farewell shinsengumi arc specifically this scene right here. And what makes it so much impactful is how it led to this moment

From the previous arcs before this one, it's been continuously mentioned how he "Has the eyes of a murderer" (and oh my god the panels looks so damn similar as well. Look it's kamunobu, guy--)

Granted, he's the ace of Shinsengumi and a Prince from the Sadist Planet, his body count is probably not countable and he even got his dedicated arc how hated he is by everyone and wants his head www (Rokkaku arc)

Despite all this, what held him together? His title as a police officer who's upholding (his skewed sense of) justice and his loyalty to Kondo. And of course, his sister who loved him as he is and proud of what he does.

In this arc however, all of those things disappeared.

His sister already died, his supposed beacon of light. The shinsengumi which was his everything disbanded and Kondo is headed straight to the guillotine. My guy was lost af and now fully believe he truly is just a manslayer with nothing else to his name.

Now, this girl who suddenly barged in in the middle of his emo ass dialogue is ordering him around to do his job as a "policeman" and control the traffic for her big ass dog who was probably the one to sniff out his location because she was actively searching for him knowing that he would do something stupid like this.

She was there to remind him that he's not a murderer but a police officer who was able to save two girls. And another thing I liked was a twt from a korean user who said that instead of other known things that cops do, she chose to ask the most menial and normal job that cops do which is 'controlling traffic' so she could walk Sadaharu. Because its part of their every routine 🥹

AND YOU KNOW WHAT BREAKS ME MORE THAN THIS!? Remember the plot of BFY movie!?!!!! Gintoki disappeared and everything went wrong.

Gintoki wasn't there for the assassination of the shogun, Kondo got arrested and shinsengumi disbanded, Toshi parted his bangs and Sougo became a knock off Kenshin, and Zura is Zura. Similar plot, right???

Kagura prob was much more worried for Gintoki in that timeline and wasn't there to knock some senses into him when Shinsengumi disbanded so he actually got that damn title and wore it proudly by then😭😭

Anyway, my point is (there's nothing really I'm just going delulu again don't worry)

Kagura, when Shinsengumi Farewell happened, at that time, she already unknowingly became a big part of Sougo's support and probably a beacon of light, as well.

Just as how Mitsuba in her last moments *sobs* reminded him how proud she is of him and the path he chose, Kagura is there to continue bashing it in his head (literally) that as much as he's killed people, he also saved as much people's lives as a cop and nothing will change that.

She's there to make sure he doesn't stray away from the path he chose--the path Mitsuba was proud of.

Hii I dmed you once before about a sebaciel fan who deleted their account over cielseb and I wanted to share more about that, cause it escalated but not in the way you think.

Basically I have a cielseb friend who is being blamed by another cielseb fan that they are the reason this og sebaciel fan deleted their account. All because my friend publically said they were sad at being blocked by the sebaciel fan. My friend yes, did go on a rant on their second account about how much they dislike foreigners who do this (my friend doesn’t know English) and it seems the cielseb fan didn’t like that, but also didn’t like a tweet that my friend made, something the cielseb fan understood as “every foreign cielseb/sebaciel fan draws ugly”. My friend says that in Chinese, the phrase is understood differently and didn’t mean that at all. But they seem to trust “grok ai translated” more than a actually Chinese person explaining it. All a huge misunderstanding, but it’s Twitter so it’s expected. Just wanted to know your thoughts on that.

people would joke about how they'd lose followers if they were into cielseba. this big twt account acting like everyone hates sebaciel now and only likes cielseba and going off social media because of that is frankly so unserious to me. your friend did nothing wrong and that cielseba fan who thinks it's their fault shouldn't be worried about someone who is literally so offended about the same ship but reversed. it doesn't matter

I just realized that basically everyone I’m friends/mutuals with nowadays wouldn’t have seen my first few comics… woahg… I’m feeling nostalgic so I just wanna talk about them a little. pages included as well!

I had Freedom (Flurry’s story), Sightless (characters I will not name bc their names are embarrassing now, they were basically Proto-Grace and Fervid though), Unhappy Ending (Stefan) and The Emotion Eater. The longest one was TEE by far (I think I got almost 40 pages on before abandoning it) but I don’t think any of the others got past 10 pages </3 whoops.

These were all stories I started very spontaneously, no outline or script or anything, pure spur-of-the-moment inspiration. I thought I was pretty prepared because I had the full plots in my head, but I didn’t know how to execute them at ALL in reality. Setup? Who’s she? Oh, also I was making three of these literally all at the same time which is probably why I got tired and stopped HAHAH taught me a lot about project management Freedom is by far the one I’d like to actually revisit as a comic one day, it was the one I put most effort into (it was digital & full color while the others were done traditionally) and I’m still attached to the story and setting. I won’t share the others in full here because they make no sense even if I were to try and explain what’s going on LOL, but here are all the pages of Freedom! (Drawn in 2019 and 2020 I believe) (you gotta click em to read)

I hadn’t even read comics at ALL this point aside from like, one or two issues of Bone, I didn’t know what was convention and I think it shows through the questionable page layouts, speech bubbles, flow etc… things are also moving so fast hahaha.

Formatting and writing wise these suck booty… but tbh I think they’re so cute anyways TwT <3 younger me was trying her best!! And I think it’s clear how much I liked these characters and drawing them… I really like looking at my old art of Flurry it’s like seeing baby pictures

My Art Through 2024

January

Ooof the calendar idea really fizzled out when i lost steam at the end of 2023 due to rotations, developed multiple illnesses, and got lowkey harassed out of the KnY fandom. The January spread was one of my favorites tho. Might publish the others on here for closure.

February

These two ended up being the most popular of the year!! still v fond of the tavhalstarion. Then i needed to take a hiatus for a while for studies.

May

Broke hiatus in May because HalTav week was too tempting!! I'll color the full one someday and upload somewhere

November

I seriously thought that I'd be able to lift hiatus in September but I failed one of my board exams, started a new job that made me hella depressed, and developed another chronic illness. so that didnt happen. I sketched both of these way earlier in 2024 but could only finish them in November once i fully passed all exams. Series of Touch still feels incomplete but i like it as is.

December

this was one of the first I drew from scratch post-hiatus and it felt like relearning how to draw all over again. very satisfied with how March turned out!

This year was a very complicated and difficult year for me in all aspects. The hiatus was especially hard on me. I went to see Look Back in theaters without knowing anything about the story and was just floored by how much I wanted to draw again and how miserable I felt during my hiatus. But at the time i had just failed my exam and I didn't feel like i could allow myself to draw again just yet.

I had thumbnailed several comic ideas during the hiatus I'm really looking forward to starting finally!

I'm also facing a dilemma with Patreon, which i only started using as a platform that wasnt twt to share nsfw work. But now that Bluesky's become more accessible and Patreon removed the option for Per-Creation Billing (as well as implemented the IOS app store surcharge), I'm reconsidering returning to Patreon and thinking of moving everything on there to Bluesky.

Anyway, thanks for reading this far! I'm getting used to being present online again! Thanks to everyone who stuck around this long and a big welcome to all the recent newcomers!

Sorry, but calling someone disgusting and sexist and saying you "hate" them for writing a fictional fan work about two consenting adults having sex with some *extremely* mild BDSM is just weird. Especially when the people critiquing the fic didn't even read it? I'm not saying YOU yourself did this, but that's what other people on Pitt twitter did, including coming here to tumblr and send anon hate.

It's so obvious to me and others that people only jump on certain fics and fic writers because they don't like the ships themselves and their popularity. Obviously it's okay to dislike things and ships, but dressing it up as activism to justify your dislike and critique is sad. Fandom etiquette is seems to be nonexistent in this fandom and maybe that's because it's many people's first fandom. I don't know.

I know the fic writers themselves are unbothered by these weirdos coming after them and their works, but to me it's just extremely strange to jump on someone when they didn't even do or say anything offensive. How does that make this fandom a fun environment for everyone to be in? How does that encourage others to maybe write or draw and share their work for the first time? It's so hostile and negative, when it should be fun for fans of all ships.

i don't care about the content of the fic, i had no problems with the sex. i will say the author opened the political discussion themself by saying they posted it because they're a leftist celebrating mamdani's win-- so i'm not surprised people criticized them saying that. i don't think anyone's claiming to be activists, theyre just voicing their reactions to something on the internet.

clearly the author did do something offensive, because people were offended-- you just weren't offended. it doesn't make them a terrible person or deserving of harassment, but people are allowed to voice their opinions about it.

you're not asking for a fandom where everyone can have fun, you're demanding a fandom where no one voices critical opinions about any ship, opinion, or creative work, and nobody is ever held accountable. if you don't want to interact with people who don't like the things you like, then block them and don't interact with them. the majority of pitt fans like the ship anyways, so it isn't like you won't have a community to engage with.

fandom etiquette isn't necessarily dead, but it should be allowed to evolve. it's not sacred to me. i think a lot of things have gotten worse during and post covid (since i first started participating in fandoms about 10 years ago) but to pretend these rules people made up a decade ago are gospel is just silly. please just curate your own experience and block my twt instead of coming to MY tumblr anons

Real talk! I honestly need some help/advice regarding Twt & Bsky

Alright so .. everyone is leaving Twitter/X …. for Bluesky? Why?

I know the new terms aren’t apparently very .. appeasing .. but what makes Bsky better?

People say Twt got very toxic since it turned to X. And I kinda see it .. some vids are hella disturbing and don’t belong on social media.

(Basically, every social media has a level of toxicity, and I‘ve seen some very brain wormy shit lately.)

My biggest question is, as an aspiring artist who wants to grow and possibly make some sort of side hustle out of it - should I really avoid X?

What if you use it to post previews, and full drawings would be posted on other socials? (Yes, the AI will take the preview, but not the full picture)

(and let’s be honest, no matter where you post, AI lurks in every corner and takes our stuff anyway, or people use it no matter what. That‘s what happens when you post stuff for free)

And then the „Blocking but still visible“ thing ~ I get it, if you despise someone, you don’t want them to see what you‘re about, but did you forget you can see what they‘re doing too? There‘s no more secrets to be held. The only thing that would annoy me would be bots - and X has a shit ton of them lately … it‘s unreal dude.

On a side note, I already left Insta because of it‘s not so recent similar occurence. And that app felt static and fake: the followers I got weren’t interested in my doings (only a handful). If you don’t work for the algorithm, you‘re basically trash. And it hurts.

As an artist, I have my own ideas and I want to share those with people who like to see it, get inspired/motivated or even learn from it if they want to. Art should be something that brings people together and learn from another .. have fun, simp for blorbos together.

Anything but „I‘m a hungry artist and I need follows because I‘m poor“ shit … Sorry but, kindly … It‘s giving IQ of a toast. And that‘s an insult towards that gluten filled slice of heart attack. It feels off and I don’t think it’s amusing..

So please, for the love of god. What to do? Because I‘m tired of app hopping … and I only started drawing a year ago :3
