Was about to go to bed when I saw Oathbreaker mention a face reveal coming up and I just had to stay up for it.

And Holy shit.

I did not expect Aonira’s design to go so HARD. I had a feeling out of the two he was going to be the one who took on the possession role (looking at all the times you’ve tagged him getting its ass BEAT) but to see it shown so blatantly through the use of a collar and mouth stitching (the piercings I can see!!!) has left me speechless.

Like Arinoa I’d like to know more about it. And maybe extra stuff like how different is it treated versus Aroen? Is there a hierarchy between possessions? Also “weird dog siblings” please do tell me more. Oh oh! and the needles I’d like to know about that.

so, aoni's possession role is a little less specific than aroen's, where aroen very specifically belongs to neora, aonira belongs more to the whole family and it's role is, in large part, being the free use pain receptacle. the tattooing he has is very scribbly and loose like that because the intent was not so much permanently committing art to flesh, but instead an extensive pain play ritual done various times, with the added benefit of the visual representation of the pain endured/object status

additionally, that's what a lot of the play piercings are, as he looks (and enjoys looking) very ornamented with a lot of jewelry and is the member of the family most happy to go through the piercing process repeatedly for something that is ultimately extremely temporary.

"weird dog siblings" is me being a bit of a clown, because arinoa is the one who's the druid, and can and does wildshape into a wolf. aonira doesn't have those capabilities, but does go to events and out with the family muzzled quite often, and has the same fondness for the family's guard dogs (livestock guard dogs, including breeds approximately akin to great pyrenees and akbash) that neora does (she is the primary owner of the dogs, and the one that they listen to the best), and so he gets lumped in as "dog"

Goshiki Tsutomu

- The first time you met him, you confidently called him “Goshino” and didn’t realize your mistake until Tendou burst out laughing next to him.

- Goshiki immediately corrected you, crossing his arms like it personally offended him. “It’s GOSHIKI TSUTOMU! How could you forget?!”

- He pouts every time you mess it up, but secretly, he thinks it’s kind of cute when you struggle. If you do it on purpose just to tease him, he’ll get all flustered and dramatic about it.

- One time, you combined his first and last name into “Tsushiki” and he just stood there in disbelief while Ushijima stared, unimpressed.

Koganegawa Kanji

- He’s used to people messing up his name, but when you called him “Koga-what-now?” for the third time in a row, he nearly cried.

- “IT’S KOGANEGAWA!! KO-GA-NE-GA-WA! IT’S NOT THAT HARD!”

- Even after you get it right, you sometimes jokingly call him “Kogaroll” or “Koganuts” just to watch him panic.

- He gets extra loud about it, but deep down, he just loves that you talk to him so much—even if it’s just to butcher his name.

Tendou Satori

- You can pronounce Satori just fine, but for some reason, his last name gives you trouble.

- “Ten… Tenten… Ten-dorito?”

- He LOVES it. He even starts coming up with his own ridiculous variations just to match yours: “That’s me! Tendogawa! Tendoroki! Tendorito Supreme!”

- If you ever call him by his actual name, he gasps dramatically. “Wow, no Tendylion today? Are you feeling okay?”

Aone Takanobu

- You didn’t even realize you were saying his name wrong because he never corrected you—he just silently accepted his fate.

- “Hey, Aoni!” (Yamamoto visibly cringes, but Aone just nods.)

- The moment Futakuchi hears it, though, he absolutely loses it. “Oh, this is GOLDEN.”

- You finally get it right one day, and Aone gives you a small approving nod. Futakuchi, however, is a little sad his free entertainment is over.

Sakusa Kiyoomi

- You swear his last name just doesn’t come out right when you say it. “Sakuzo? Sakuza?”

- He just stares at you. “You’re joking.”

- You try again. “Saku…soba?”

- He sighs deeply and walks away.

Kunimi Akira

- You don’t actually forget his name—you just pretend you do because he never reacts.

- “Hey, Kuni-what’s-your-name?”

-He barely looks up from his phone. “Yeah. Sure.”

- No matter how many weird variations you come up with (“Kumimi, Kunoodle, Ku-nap-mi”), he just rolls with it. If anything, he finds it amusing.

Lev Haiba

- When you first met him, you thought “Haiba” was his first name, so you kept calling him that.

- He was too polite to correct you, but Yaku wasn’t. “Lev, tell them your actual name before I throw you.”

- Once you started calling him “Levi” by accident, he gave up on trying to fix it.

- “Close enough!”

As Detective Anon correctly deduced, Arinoa and Aonira are the second generation of Niro and Orin’s offspring, conceived as pseudo-twins born within days of each other.

Arinoa (a.k.a. Ari, she/her), left, was sired by Neora and carried by Orin. She is a shapechanger like her mother.

Aonira (a.k.a Aoni, he/him/it/its), right, was sired by Niro and carried by Neora. He has some ability to change the color of his skin, hair, and eyes, but is otherwise not a shapechanger.

Born on April 22, 1957, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Kawanami was widely recognized for her role as Coconna Vartla in the Armored Trooper Votoms series. Over the years, she lent her distinctive voice to many beloved characters in #Anime, including roles in Dr. Slump & Arale-chan, God Mars, Yume Senshi Wingman, Transformers: The Headmasters, Marmalade Boy, Topo Gigio, Mikan Enikki, Mister Ajikko, and as Bulma's Mother in #DragonBallZ.
