dropping some BMB character concepts—
“Vasilisa the Unfairly”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“One of the once living being that entered The Spotlight and succumbed to the groove— she went in with an unknown goal and a wooden doll in hand that was “charmed” to protect her. However, Vasilisa ended up losing the doll, and now wanders sickly through the glow, half-dead, and with clusters of mushrooms and veins of mycelium infesting her body, as well as an impressive pair of protrusions in a fully functional arm and a “head” that appears to look like a skull. The head can glow a brilliant orange like a flame when in the night and light herself a path, but most don’t assume kindly of someone in The Spotlight.”
(Based on Vasilisa the Beautiful/Fair and fairy rings)
“The Three Billy Goats Gruff”
Tumblr media
“Also inhabitants of The Spotlight, possibly succumbing to the wrath themselves. To help those fall into to the groove, they attempt to charm others with a haunting melody and sing along. Marching to the beat of their own rhythm, they’ll do what’s necessary to win, even if that means sabotaging each other.”
(Based on The Three Billy Goats Gruff, fairy rings, and a lot of other weird prion/disease related stuff.)
“Merdusa”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Should you be rafting your way through the waters towards “Giant Peach Island”, you best be weary about not disturbing the Merdusa that swims beneath the water. A bit more on the timid side unless provoked, looking into her eyes long enough can make your body attempt to disintegrate into sea foam. It’s undetermined if she does this willingly, or is just an unfortunate feature of her’s.”
(Based on The Little Mermaid and Medusa)

HI I MEANT YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT TODOBAKU?
AHHHH okay okay well this is more of an @altruisticshouto type of question, but i shall do my best! again, this is just my take on the pairing. you can disagree if you want! <3
i’m going to add a ‘keep reading’ option again due to it being long and spoilers!
okay, shouto and bakugou. i personally don’t really ship it in a romantic sense. i just think it’s because they haven’t had a ton of interaction with each other, or at least not enough to convince me. i mean, of course they’ve interacted, but izuku is usually the topic of discussion (aside from the last few chapters).
i think bakugou in some way looks up to shouto. not in the same sense where he looks up to all might, but he recognizes shouto’s strength and power. he becomes an obstacle similar to the way bakugou views izuku - someone he has to win against.
growing up, bakugou had always been praised. people are constantly complaining about bakugou being overly cocky, but it shouldn’t be a surprise. the way everyone (teachers, parents, students, IZUKU, etc.) fawned over him when he manifested his quirk was the matchstick that started the fire, that fire being bakugou’s ginormous ego.
he’s always believed that he’s the best of the best. no one could beat him.
during the villains vs. heroes exercise, bakugou is slapped in the face with reality.
bakugou fucks up BAD. he lets his feelings take over and he ends up making an idiot out of himself in front of the entire class. he loses against the one person he doesn’t want to lose against, and then momo (the QUEEN) explains in detail how bakugou fucked up so bad.
and then shouto comes in and wins the exercise for his team in literally less than 2 minutes.
we are then shown him crying in front of izuku at the end of the day and he specifically calls shouto out. he basically says “there’s no way i could measure up to that guy” and this is the first time we are seeing bakugou realize that he isn’t the best. he’s realizing that there are people better than him and stronger than him.
so, he has a level of respect towards todoroki.
let’s talk about the sports festival, shall we?
while shouto is telling izuku his tragic backstory, we (the audience) are shown bakugou eavesdropping in on this conversation. you can interpret his reaction however you prefer, but i personally view it as him being kind of distraught.
the fight between bakugou and shouto ends in the worst way possible for bakugou’s pride and sanity.
todoroki recognized izuku as someone strong enough to use his fire against, but couldn’t recognize bakugou to be at that same level of strength.
it was as if he was saying bakugou didn’t deserve todoroki at his full power.
now, if bakugou actually cares about todoroki and his family problems is unknown; but, it’s clear that he’s hurt and offended beyond belief when todoroki doesn’t view him as a valuable enough opponent.
and then we move on to bakugou being captured by the villains.
shouto is dead set on saving bakugou. he’s 100% confident in his decision, despite the fact that it violates the rules and he could get in a shit ton of trouble. this could also be due to the fact that shouto wants to just save people in general, but i also think it’s worth pointing out considering bakugou isn’t exactly todoroki’s favorite person. he doesn’t even consider his (possibly negative) feelings towards bakugou (which you think he might have done due to his history with endeavor and all). he just thinks about saving him.
their current relationship is… okay. i mean, we have to keep our expectations pretty low when it comes to bakugou and relationships. at this point right now, they don’t see each other as enemies. rivals, maybe. friends? ehhhh. again, keep expectations low for bakugou.
so, i don’t ship them romantically at all. i don’t even really see them having a super strong friendship, but i can see them being badass teammates. i can definitely picture bakugou and todoroki kicking some fucking ASSS together.
as of right now, they’re both too socially incompetent to form a solid relationship with each other (in my opinion). there isn’t really enough content for me to really ship them as anything at this moment.
HOWEVER, i think people ship them because they’re both hella attractive and i mean come on the tsundere + the kuudere? what a combo.
