Do you think some love interests who have the "I despise women" trope in otome games can go too far? There's Jun from Irresistible Mistakes and his character goes beyond the trope and is almost sexist and misogynistic. There's a guy on twitter who goes further into along with other issues and my friends and I agree with how poorly handled his story is.

hmmmm to be honest i’ve talked about this a bit before in another ask and i do think that line was just written to be sensational? and that he means he thought she was one of those women who just casually sleep with him bc they’re only attracted to his position/power/income as a company president and not because they genuinely like him as a real human person (and he says himself that he’s been burned by those types of people). honestly tbh within the wider context of his route, i do feel like they kind of throw that line in there just to have some initial conflict. he doesn’t treat her any differently as an employee and defends her against a guy who is trying to use his position to sexually harass her. i feel like jun has always been someone who kind of dgaf about sex. like he’ll kind of sleep with anyone who wants to sleep with him to ‘scratch the itch’ ya know? and then he finally meets a woman with whom he gets along with, someone with whom he shares his story about THAT commercial, and then he just assumes that she’s after him for his position bc that’s literally apparently what every single woman he’s ever met has wanted from him. so he starts to get his hopes up bc he's almost catching feels already but she 'lets him down' so he's extra disappointed but goes along with what he assumes she wants from him, if that makes sense

so anyway i feel like they use that to set up some initial conflict but then i feel like the rest of the route is about the mc realising that jun seems hard but actually really cares for his subordinates and the people around him and that to me is the core of his route more than like “you’re cheap for sleeping with me” bc he never disrespects her for having a one night stand in a work setting and i find that he does respect and care for her as a colleague. 

so i feel like the premise of hating women is kind of overdone/tired and can be generally misogynistic in that they tend to paint all women as just being power hungry gold diggers and the mc is like the “not like other girls” girl and i feel like there are a lot more interesting dynamics that can be explored with regards to how the mc becomes a special woman above all else in the LI’s life. but with jun, i feel like he more than justifies the things he said in the early part of the route but anyway maybe i’m just extra lenient about jun because i have experience with the ultimate misogynist, voltage’s #1 mgtow incel shinobu narita

It was as though time had stopped. Being a mobster meant Soryu had faced his fair share of danger. He had stared down the barrel of a gun, numerous times, and had participated in many shoot outs. The man had walked the fine line between life and death too many times to count. Yet the words that had just left MC’s lips left him frozen. Time stood still.

He was relieved that no one seemed to notice how his pulse had spiked. He could hear the drumming of his heart in his ears, blocking out any other surrounding sounds. His eyes focused intently on the only woman who had ever held his heart captive. 

Soryu had always hated women. Their weakness, the smell of their perfume, the sound of their voices. He hated it all. Yet meeting MC had softened the cold mobster’s heart. Finally allowing himself to open up to a woman. Finding the only woman who did not irritate the man.

He never expected to fall in love with MC when they met a few years ago. But how could he not? After all, she was different to the others. A fact Soryu learned when they chose MC to help him out. 

It all started when Soryu told Eisuke of the dilemma he and the Ice Dragons were facing. Another mob boss was sending his daughter over to meet with the Ice Dragons in the hopes of forming an alliance. During that time, Soryu was tasked with ensuring her safety while discussions took place. 

As such he needed another female. One who could keep the daughter company during the day, and when needed attend meetings in her stead, allowing Soryu to prevent any potential harm coming to the mob boss’s daughter. 

After showing Eisuke a photo of the guest, Eisuke immediately suggested one of the newer maids he had hired. She looked similar and had shown a feistier and braver side compared to most women he had met. Perfect for this job.

When Soryu met MC, she had been confused as to why he would want her, a complete stranger, to assist him. Nonetheless, she readily agreed to support him. Even when Soryu attempted to intimidate her in a way the other mob members would, she did not flinch. She held his look, returning one of her own. She really was different, he thought.

In the month she assisted him, MC kept the visiting daughter company during the day, and attended meetings at night. Due to their close proximity during this month Soryu and MC had come to learn much about each other. They soon found a mutual love for detective novels, discussing new and old releases frequently. MC even tried recommending some of the movies to Soryu, often dragging him to see new releases with her. 

What surprised Soryu was how, rather than being annoyed with MC’s presence and insistence, he cherished those moments together. He looked forward to the next. He soon came to crave their time together. 

So much so, when it came time for him to no longer need MC’s assistance, he still kept her around. Discussing detective novels became their daily conversation when they bumped into each other around the hotel. They would meet up regularly for coffee or to go see the new releases of these movies.

Soon Soryu introduced her properly to the other bidder’s, although this was punishment due to him losing a game of poker to Eisuke. It didn’t take long for the other guys to love spending time with MC just as much as he did.

However, just as Soryu realised he had fallen in love with MC and was prepared to tell her, he learned the devastating fact that she had a boyfriend. And he settled himself to endure the pain of an unrequited love.

As the years had gone by, Soryu had fallen more deeply in love with MC. He still cherished his moments with her discussing and swapping novels. Seeing films. He really had settled to love her from afar. 

Yet sometimes, just sometimes, he saw something in the looks she gave him. The smiles she shared. That something, giving him hope that maybe, just maybe, she may also have a part of her that she longed to share with him. But these looks were always gone as quickly as they appeared. Soryu was always left wondering, had he imagined those looks? 

As Soryu watched the others questioning MC over her decision to move in with her boyfriend, he heard as the final bombshell was dropped. 

“So,while I really am grateful for the promotion Eisuke, I, uh, I may have to start looking for a new job… the apartment Mason chose for us… it is quite far away and while I can travel in at the moment, it would be best for me if I were to work closer to our home…” MC spoke, the sadness evident in her voice.

“Do you want to leave?” Eisuke asked, looking at MC in shock.

“It’s not that I want to, but it would be closer to home” She responded, the pain of these words, crystal clear in her glossy eyes. 

“Then don’t” Soryu couldn’t help but interrupt. Everyone turned their eyes to him, and he finally realised what he had done. “Look… he chose the place, and now you’re going to have to leave a job you love and your friends? I don’t think you should go…” 

Following that last remark, Soryu left the penthouse behind, everyone’s eyes following him. His departure and the other bidder’s distraction, meant no one noticed as MC held a hand to her chest as her eyes followed Soryu affectionately. Her heart rate increasing at his sudden declaration.

A couple of weeks had passed since MC had informed everyone that she would be seeking a new job. Everyone had been tiptoeing around the matter. No one wanting to discuss her impending departure. Particularly when Soryu was around. And he was more than aware of their conscious efforts to avoid discussing the topic of MC leaving when he was present. 

The penthouse lounge would go quiet when he entered the room anytime MC was being discussed. Soryu felt the tense, sympathetic looks the others gave him. He didn’t want or need their sympathy. He just wanted them to treat him normally. And he wanted MC to stay. 

He had thought, as long as she was close by, he could watch her from a distance. Sharing in their daily conversations… that would be enough for him. If she were to leave, he would lose even that small comfort. It was a comfort he was desperate to keep. 

Today was like any other day for Soryu. He and MC had arranged to meet for a coffee to discuss the latest detective stories they had been reading, and have a general catch up. 

Soryu sat at their usual table. The book he had been reading sat closed atop the table. The story had been about the disappearance of a teenage girl, whose body was later discovered in a woodland in the countryside. Two detectives were tasked were finding the culprit. Before the end of the book, two more teenage girls went missing and were later discovered, one by a canal and the other beside the motorway. Soryu had enjoyed the story, and was looking forward to discussing the book with MC, since she had been the one to recommend the book to him. 

The bell on the café door chimed, and MC walked in. The moment she spotted Soryu her face lit up with a smile as bright as the morning sunrise. Soryu’s features softened in return. His heart beating at a slightly faster pace at her arrival. 

“Soryu! I hope you weren’t waiting too long!” MC stated, apologetic for arriving after Soryu.

He shook his head, pulling her chair out for her. Truthfully, he had been their long enough to enjoy two coffee’s already, excited to see her. But he wouldn’t be telling her that.

A waitress brought over two coffee’s as if she had been waiting for the moment MC arrived to do so, leaving the pair to settle into a friendly discussion. It didn’t take long for them to be so enthralled in their discussion that the minutes turned to an hour, and one coffee had become two then three. 

As MC finished her coffee, she smiled at Soryu.

“What?” Soryu asked, a nervous blush staining his cheeks. 

“Nothing, it’s just nice… being able to talk with you like this… I’ll… I’ll miss it” MC whispered the words, pain once again showing itself on her features. 

“Miss it?” Soryu asked, genuinely bewildered by her statement.

“You know… when I’m gone” tears had begun to fill MC’s eyes, she seemed to curl in on herself. The brightness she usually displayed had dimmed slightly. 

“Don’t be ridiculous MC” Soryu snapped, surprising both himself and MC.

She stared at him in shock. In the years MC and Soryu had known one another, since becoming friends, he had never lost his temper or raised his voice at her. Not once. Yet here he was, his emotions high, getting angry. 

“I’m not being ridiculous Soryu! Once I have a new job, I won’t be at the hotel anymore. If I’m not there anymore, then I won’t see you guys anymore!” MC replied, equally frustrated. 

“THEN DON’T LEAVE!” Soryu shouted, his eyes filled with anguish, yet he couldn’t control how he seemed to burn with anger. 

His heart hurt more, when he saw the tears become too heavy for MC to prevent them from falling. Words failed him when she dumped some money on the table, grabbed her bag and ran from the café. He could only stare vacantly at the chair she had been sat in only moments earlier. 

Why had he raised his voice? If that was the last outing they were to share… why did he have to raise his voice. Why did he have to make her cry?

Soryu clenched his hands into tight fists. His nails dug into his palms, leaving deep indentations in the skin. Yet the pain was nothing compared to the ache in his heart.

A couple more weeks had passed, and Soryu hadn’t seen or spoken to MC since she fled the coffee shop. She wasn’t answering his calls, responding to his messages, and he hadn’t seen her around the hotel. He was beginning to feel uneasy without her presence. Was she ok? 

As he entered the penthouse lounge he noticed the others surrounding Eisuke, a sheet of paper sitting on the table in front of them. The upset on their faces told Soryu that whatever it was, they didn’t like it. 

“What’s that?” Soryu asked, approaching the group. 

“MC resigned. With immediate effect.” Eisuke replied, eyes fixed on the letter in front of him. 

“What? Didn’t you stop her?” Soryu asked, his heart rate spiking. 

“I would have if I had spoken with her! She left the letter here. She didn’t even say goodbye.” Eisuke responded, the frustration in his voice clear. 

Soryu finally looked at the letter. The words on the page were in MC’s neatest writing. Her signature at the end.

‘Dear Mr Ichinomiya, 

Firstly, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to work for a hotel with such a high esteem as the Tres Spades. 

In the years I have been here, I have grown as an individual vastly, learned valuable skills, and made numerous friends. 

When you offered me the promotion recently, I was overjoyed. I loved working here at the hotel, and to be noticed for my skills was a privilege and compliment I do not take lately.  

It is with a heavy heart, that due to travel issues, I hand in my letter of resignation. Resigning with immediate effect.

P.S… I’m sorry I could not say goodbye to you all. Situations at home have meant I needed to leave sooner than I had expected. Seeing you all would have made leaving that much harder, and I couldn’t have you refusing my resignation. You guys have been my closest friends for the last few years, and I will always be grateful to you all. Goodbye, MC x’

The letter was short and sweet. But what struck Soryu was her mentioning situations at home. Were her and Mason having problems? 

“Eisuke… are you really going to let her leave that easily?” Soryu grunted, hoping his friend would be the one to do something so he could keep his own personal feelings guarded longer. 

“No.”

“EISUKE!” Soryu shouted, his frustration at MC leaving once again bubbling over. 

“Soryu, she made a decision. As her friend I have to respect it. But as your friend I will do you one curtesy” Eisuke replied, his signature smirk on his face.

“What?” 

“3 weeks. Find her in 3 weeks, be honest with her, and if she comes back we will treat it as though she was on holiday. If in 3 weeks she isn’t back, I will formally process and accept her resignation”

3 weeks. That’s all he needed. He nodded his thanks to Eisuke, and dialled Inui’s number as he walked out from the penthouse. 

“Hey Inui, I need people looking for MC. Find where she is, and tell me. ASAP. We only have 3 weeks.”

Hope filled Soryu. No matter what she says, at the end of these 3 weeks… he will finally have told MC he loves her. His feelings would no longer be shackled away.

“Boss, she’s working in a coffee shop called La Casetta del Caffè” 

The words stopped Soryu where he was. 2 weeks. 2 weeks they had been searching for MC and now they had finally found her. 

Soryu was determined he would waste no more time. He picked up a bouquet of roses and raced to the coffee shops where MC was working. 

As he entered the coffee shop, he saw her. He felt his heart fill with anticipation. It had been a month since he heard her voice. A month since she had run out of that coffee shop.

Running a hand through his tousled hair, he smoothed his jacket down, approaching the counter. 

“Welcome to La Casetta del Caffè, what can I get you?” MC said smiling, but when she finally looked up, her smile fell. The sight of Soryu, someone who should not be there, surprised her.

“Hey MC” Soryu said, showing her a small smile, a blush stained his cheeks. 

She was a beautiful as he remembered. It sounded ridiculous. Of course, she was, it had only been a month. But that month had felt like eternity to him. His heart broke more each day they were apart. Yet seeing her now, he felt whole again. 

“W-what are you doing here?” MC asked, she was surprised but she could hide the happiness seeing Soryu brought her. 

“I need to talk to you; what time does your break start?” Soryu asked, when a kind looking older gentleman responded.

“MC, you can go on your break now if you like” He smiled and looked toward Soryu, “I hope you treat her a bit better than that other one!” the man huffed and went back to serving customers. 

Soryu looked to MC confused. 

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll meet you outside with a coffee in 5 minutes ok?” Soryu nodded in reply, heading outside, as MC began preparing two coffees.

MC brought the two coffees outside and sat opposite Soryu at the table. Sitting outside offered them some privacy, away from the prying eyes of the customers and owner. 

“So… what are you doing here?” MC asked.

“First… these are for you.” Soryu said, handing MC the roses he had bought before arriving. Surprised, MC accepted the bouquet, smelling the flowers.

“They’re beautiful… thank you” MC smiled. 

“And I really do need to talk to you…”

“Ok, sure���” MC replied nervously. 

“Please, don’t say anything until I’ve finished. I’ve wanted to say a lot of this for a long time.” MC nodded and Soryu continued, “Firstly, I’m sorry for shouting at you when we went out before. I was hurting knowing you were leaving, that didn’t give me a right to shout at you, but I need you to know, it was from a place of pain about losing you that cause my outburst.” 

Soryu sighed, looking up before continuing.

“And secondly. When I said I didn’t want you to leave, I meant it. But I didn’t mean it in the way the others were meaning it. I wasn’t going to miss you because you were my friend. I was going to miss you, and didn’t want you to leave, because… because I love you. MC I’ve been in love with you for almost as long as I have known you. I’m utterly crazy about you, and I thought just having you near was enough, that I would never need to tell you how I feel, but then you left and I realised I messed up never telling you.”

“Soryu…”

“Look, MC… Eisuke gave me 3 weeks. 3 weeks to tell you how I feel. 3 weeks to try convince you to come back. If you come back by Friday next week… they’ll ignore your resignation letter. You can come back like you never left. But if you don’t… if you don’t return by Friday, he will formally process your resignation.” 

When he finished Soryu stood. He smiled at MC, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek. 

“I’ll be in the hotel all day Friday… I… I hope you come back MC” 

Following his remark, he began walking, before turning towards the café door where the owner quietly stood. 

“Sir, I don’t know what incident you were referring to, but I assure you, if she chose to come to me, I would treat her with the utmost respect and care. That, I promise you.” Smiling once at MC, Soryu walked away and headed back for the Tres Spades.

If he had turned to look, he may have noticed as the tears fell from MC’s eyes, the kind smile she showed him as he walked away, and the hand she held to her chest.

A week had passed. It was now Friday. MC had not visited once, nor had she contacted any of them. Yet Soryu held onto that glimmer of hope that she would come.

Soryu sat in the penthouse lounge waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Seconds turned to minutes. The minutes turned to hours. Still MC had not arrived. It was getting later, and the others who had sat with him at various points during the day had returned to their own rooms. 

8pm… she isn’t coming, is she… Soryu thought. Rising to his feet, he headed towards his own suite. Disappointment and hurt filled his heart. He really believed she would come back. He really believed, she should be with him. 

When he arrived back in his suite, he poured himself a large brandy. He wasn’t normally one to drown his sorrows, but today, he wanted to drink until he forgot why he was hurting. 

He sat on his sofa, head in his hands. The pain all he could think about. Until…

Knock. Knock. Knock. 

A knocking on his door grabbed his attention. Who on earth would be knocking on his suite door now? If it was Baba or Ota, he swore to God he would pull his gun out so quickly. Yet the sight that greeted him made his eyes bulge and mouth drop open.

“Sorry I’m so late, it took a while to pack and then I needed to meet with Eisuke!” MC stood before him, a small suite case in her hands.

“MC!” Soryu exclaimed, pulling her into a tight crushing embrace. “You… you came back”

“I choose happiness” MC whispered, returning Soryu’s embrace. “And… you never let me respond to what you told me last week.”

Soryu pulled back slightly. He looked around the corridor to make sure the others weren’t spying on them, before dragging MC into his room. 

They sat together on the sofa. Soryu kept his arms around MC as they snuggled close. 

“So… first tell me what that man meant when he said he hoped I would treat you better?”

“Ah… that. Mason wanted me to quit the hotel. He argued about it, a lot. When I finally quit, and found the job at the café he came in on my second shift and screamed at me in front of the customers and owner about how I wasn’t working in a proper job and so we had less money coming in. I was mortified and the owner stepped in. He had moved me away from my job and friends and still had the audacity to moan about me not having as much money coming in. That was the end of things, it was the final straw.”

“That explains that one…” Soryu replied, he felt his own anger at the way MC’s ex had felt he could treat her. “So… you’re back?”

“Yep, Eisuke was happy to see me when I walked through the door. He wasted no time getting me to make him a coffee” MC giggled. 

“I’m glad you’re back where you belong, MC” Soryu smiled, stroking soft MC’s hair.

“Thank you Soryu… and I need to tell you something” 

Soryu nodded looking at the back of MC’s head as she sat leaning back against his chest. 

“The truth is… I’ve had these strange feelings about you for a very, very, long time but it wasn’t until I left and you came to the café and told me how you felt that I truly understood what these feelings were. The truth is, Soryu… I’m in love with you, too. You make my heart race, I enjoy our conversations about things we both like. But most importantly, I enjoy being with you.”

“MC…”

“I love you, Soryu…”

“I love you, too!” Soryu exclaimed, crushing MC to his chest. 

Overcome with emotion, Soryu lifted MC into his arms turning her to face him. His hands took her cheeks between them, and guided her lips to his. Their first kiss was soft, and gentle.

But it took no time, before they were overcome with passion, and their kiss deepened. The emotions he had been holding back all these years, Soryu finally placed in those kisses. That tame first kiss, soon became deep, intense kisses. If they were to signify anything, it was that a long, steamy night was ahead.

When Soryu woke the following morning, he smiled. In his arms he held the still sleeping MC. Relief flooded him. It hadn’t been a dream. She really had returned to them. To him. The woman he had adored from afar for the last few years, was finally his. 

The cold mobster had found the one woman who could bring out his soft side. And now he had her, he was certain, he would never be letting her go.

Some ideas about Daimon Togo's possible route

I don't remember making a post about how I think Daimon Togo's route will be. Yet, now that we know he will get his route, I think it's time to awaken my inner fortune teller. So, here are some ideas I have:

He is the only middle-class/below-middle-class LI. I have said in a previous post that it's canon that Ukyo, Kunihiro, and Eiji are from rich families. And taking into consideration that Shu studied in the same school as Eiji, Kuranosuke's family also seems to be at least upper middle class, they also are pretty rich. So, I think that Daimon Togo is the Jun Araki of "Oops! I Said Yes?!" I wouldn't be surprised if they grew up in the same orphanage. A clue to this is that he worked as a tutor for Shu while Shu was in middle school, which means Shu was 12 and 15 years old. That makes Togo 19-23. During Kasai's second season, I somehow calculated that Togo started to work at Miyoshi Concepts when he was 22. So, imagine that this man had to take a part-time job and teach a middle schooler because he didn't make enough money at the beginning of his career. I don't think someone from a wealthy family would do this.

As a continuation to the previous point, I think another reason Kasai and Togo hate each other so much is that one is self-made, while the other inherited fame from his family. I know that Shunichiro Tachibana and Jun Araki don't have anything like this, yet it's a pretty interesting topic to follow in a new game. So, what if Voltage is thinking just like me?

This doesn't have a base, yet I want his route to be the "she fell first, but he fell harder" or Togo to fall the first. I don't remember seeing many routes in Voltage games where they make the man be the one obviously in love with MC before MC understands her feelings. So, Voltage, please let this happen with Togo.

Another thing that I am thinking about is that Togo may not be another Jun Araki. He can be another Tsugumu Kido. I see him as the oldest kid who suddenly became the only money provider in the family. I also see him as a straight-A student with at least three part-time jobs. 

TOGO DIDN'T HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WHILE HE WAS ABROAD. I want to believe this. Let me believe this, and Voltage, make it real. I want Togo to suffer and be in love with MC even before going abroad. So, as a good family man, I imagine him to be, I don't think he had tried to start a relationship with anyone.

Some of you may have guessed that I am sure he tried to confess his feelings just before he found out about moving abroad. Maybe he even asked MC out and then never came to the date. Who knows?

Another idea I have about him is that there's not a single LI in "Oops! I Said Yes?!" who was in love before. So, there's a possibility Voltage wants to give him a dead girlfriend. Of course, we have Ukyo who encountered death, yet it was something else. It's strange to have six men who had never been in love. That's why I think Togo is qualified to be the one with experience in feelings. 

One more similarity that may occur between "Irresistible Mistakes" and "Oops! I Said Yes?!", but this time between Togo's and Natsume's route is that there's a possibility MC will try to marry Kasai at first and then Togo will stop them. It's more dramatic than what was between Natsume and Shunichiro, but of the same league. Togo's relationship with Kasai is too important not to be used from the first season. 

I feel this may happen, yet I'm not sure how to feel about the possibility of Togo being the Takaomi Tsugaru of "Oops! I Said Yes?!" You know, the most traumatized character that is obviously in love, yet you need an infinite amount of stories and seasons for them to be together. I love traumatized characters, and Tsugaru is in my top 10 Voltage Inc characters. Moreover, I am sure that I can see Togo being traumatized. Yet, I want him to be with MC as fast as the rest of the characters, not after four seasons.

I won't even lie to you, i like- have always been a VERY pick person when it comes to otome games?? I started playing them WAYYY back like 10 years ago now almost- (i was like 11/12 LMAO) and I started with these like otome games on mobile from the company Voltage (dont get me started on how much I hate voltage inc now) but then I got into things like Hakuouki and Amnesia Memories, etc. and I was VERY picky about how art looked, how voices sounded (if they had voice acting that is) and shit like that-and I still kind of am; but I took a break from otome games for a while ig and played Our Life (if you havent played that one- damn its an AMAZING free one too) and started to appreciate the love and attention that goes into the indie/lesser known otomes over the mainstream big company otomate ones or aksys- (i still love those too i mean i just bought fuckin Cafe Enchante so) but like my whole point of this tangent is just that- I still worry about like how voice acting will sound, etc. in these games but this definitely isn't disappointing me; it sounds so good!! the voice actors are doing such a good ass job! (xyx calling mE DOLL AND BABE?? AAHHAAH HE LLOOO??)

I'm a SLUT for bad endings in otome games ngl- I LOVE ANGST even if it hurts me, but at the same time im like "they're about to ruin my boys arent they?" so like- im SCARED lowkey; i also feel like going back to the VA thing for me- sad scenes/bad endings are really where voice actors thrive so i GOTTA do them to hear it now-

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder pre-review

*This post is written after finishing the prologue, reviews on stories are to come separately* It would be only fair to start with the highest rated Voltage Inc. story. I should admit it wasn't my first choice to read as story plot sounds like a cheap fan fiction cliché. But I just had to give it a try since it's currently ranked as the most popular story on the app. So is it worth the hype?

Plot: MC works as a maid in a hotel and one day she discovers that this hotel is used as a black market. Driven by a stupid circumstances she becomes first human to be sold on a black market auction.

Personal opinion: Well, the story plot so far is beyond realistic type of fiction. Would make more sense to say it was her first day at work. Because MC doesn't give an impression of stupid person. But I can't imagine you don't see something that big happening if you work involves going to storage which is literally next door. *mild_spoiler* The fact that FOUR guys buy you at auction also doesn't make any sense. Do you know how biding work? You can't share a bill, it's not a dinner at a restaurant with your pals. */mild_spoiler* But either way, MC is being kicky and have sharp tongue, so kudos for that.

And now lets jump to the characters:

Oof, where should I start. There is 9 characters. And it may be just my opinion, but I find it a bit too much. I can see how they are trying to make more types of characters and all, but is it THAT necessary? I personally find it confusing, as I'm the type of person that struggles to make a choice. But to be completely clear, 4 of them are somewhat advanced and not for a first time readers, as their stories start from season 2 and 3 and you won't meet them in first prologue. That brings us to 5 characters for now. So lets have a preview of first 5 of them based on a prologue. I will focus on a personalities rather than bio of characters, as it's already written both in app and wikis.

▸Eisuke Ichinomiya "The King from your fantasies" Not first just by the line but also by popularity, both in game and by players. Have a look of typical ikeman that don't care about hoard of women that surrounds him. Is a go-go for you if you like sassy men, bossy attitude and love/hate relationships. Conclusion: Very likable character. Sounds fun, ticks all my kinks and I just can't say no to a love/hate story. Excited to play: ★★★★★

▸Soryu Oh "Tsundere mafia leader" Classic mafia leader character, who cool and calm from the outside, but is shy and soft on the inside. Conclusion: You can't go wrong with classics, especially nostalgic for all manga readers in 2000s. I will pray for him to have a pervy side too. Excited to play: ★★★★✩

▸Mitsunari Baba "Thief that will steal your heart" A typical womanizer. If you like to hear all that sweet cheesy talk, then it may be your good to go. Conclusion: Not a fan of sweet talks, not a fan of womanizers, so it's just a personal no. Also, Calling someone Baba is a bit... Excited to play: ★★✩✩✩

▸Ota Kisaki "Your angelic kinky owner" Most interesting character so far, as it is not any typical cliché type. Young artist that have lovable face, but he actually into some kinky owner/pet stuff. Yum. Conclusion: Probably not for everyone, but so far sounds like the most unique story to read. Excited to play: ★★★★★

▸Mamoru Kishi "Careless detective daddy" Are you into careless older men? Well, then that's your perfect match. Conclusion: It just doesn't sound exciting at all, sorry. I'm tired of life on my own, not into experience it in fiction stories too. Excited to play: ★★✩✩✩ (personal -★ for beard, it's just a no for me) In conclusion, I will definitely going to finish at least some of the stories and write a more clear reviews. First ones are probably going to be Eisuke and Ota’s stories. As for now, farewell~

I also hate Guy Avari with a burning passion. I also didn’t like him since the prologue. And then his fans who I’ve met were like he’s not a dom, he’s not aggressive, MC changes him, he’s not into bdsm despite the silk scarves, give him a chance! He has a Sad Past and family problems. Yeah? So do other people who aren’t condescending assholes like him. I’ve had 3 try to guilt trip me into liking him just because they do.

Lol, I respect those who like Guy as long they don’t guilt trip me too much into liking a character. Let me take my time and patience into giving a character a chance.

Also, I’m not really into Voltage Inc’s poster man or center man or whatever you call them. I noticed that they’re usually the most arrogant/rich-but-deep-down-they’re-hurting. Examples: Eisuke (Kissed by the Baddest Bidder), Minato ( Our Two Bedroom Story), Leon (Star-Crossed Myth), etc.

But I still respect those who like them 💞

Ah Ha! Who do I hate / dislike most? Does that make it the WORST voltage guy? Hmm?? Most my friends here know I stay away from Eisuke but he’s not the worst, then leaves Hidetaka Sera- yeah the freaking 2 faces makes my eyes roll so damn hard from time to time but like Eisuke, he’s an ass- smart ass.

Oh the dark past and all were’t the turn off, the half ass forced / pushed sex was. Being the typical Voltage’s MC who seemingly gave herself to him “willingly” was very uncomfortable, the whole thing just felt wrong.

He was in bad shape with his guilt after the truth was revealed, it was foolish of him to USE her as revenge to begin with- knowing damn well 1)  she’s innocent 2) Dude has a sister too! Sympathy much?

MC did consent to have sex with him as she had come to “realization” that she’s in love with him and the way to “help” was to sleep with him after he pushed and pinned her to bed , telling her to pay him with his body. [ The whole taking it out on sex ]

Ya, not appealing AT ALL, dude.

Sure he was confused, angry SO? I don’t feel she’s a slut or he’s a dick but I sure as hell do not like either of them. It’s pretty obvious by now that the first impression means a lot, I don’t like overlapping layers and layers of Voltage’s sob history they have written for their canons because they only turn into assholes or lone wolves. I’m sure Kai is a sweetheart behind all those layers but I have lost the interest and patience to go through them.

The constant similar / almost copy and paste content has seriously annoyed me which is also why I have stopped playing their games. As complex as Kai’s character was, Voltage failed to shape him into one like Eisuke whom I may dislike but greatly appreciate his well-written routes. (Though I still yell at him my ipad from time to time) I could not shake the unpleasant feeling I have for Kai and every time I think of him that scene shows up.

“…” Sniffing you wipe away some fresh tears.

“Please believe me that I will do everything to make it up to you. Lisa managed to ruin my life once again. I was so happy with you. So, in love and then I just panicked. I thought I could protect you from getting hurt.”

“Went very well, Dean.” Sam mutters standing in the doorframe.

“Do you think I don’t know that? I messed up and now the woman I love hates me. The woman I wanted to marry is beyond hurt.”

“Marry?” You whisper.

“I bought the ring. It’s always in my pocket. I wanted to propose after the Benefit dinner. I wanted you to become my wife. Now everything is in ruins.”

“Can I see it?”

“Sure. Wait.” Taking a box out of his pants Dean shows you the ring.

“I’ll call Jess.” Sam stammers while you look at the golden ring with a little diamond.

“It’s nice.” You say.

“Do you want to try it on?” Dean asks hopefully.

“No. You better keep it for someone more suitable than me. I’m not worth wearing something nice like that.” You whisper turning around to avoid looking at Dean.

“Maybe another time?”

“…”

“I’ll be in the living room if you need anything.” Leaving the bedroom Dean wipes away a single tear.

“You really believed she would take the ring after what you did to her?” Sam asks.

“I’m not good at showing my feelings. You know that.” Dean mutters looking at the ring in his hands.

“Man up and show her you love her. This will take time and a lot of patience, Dean.”

“I know she will need time. But what if she can’t forgive me? What if she doesn’t love me anymore?” Dean says close to tears. Standing in the doorframe you can hear the heartbreak in Dean’s voice, the honesty.

“Dean? I don’t want to be alone.” You lie.

“Huh? Do you want to call one of your friends?” Dean asks.

“No. Can you stay with me?”

“Okay. Wait. I’ll say goodbye to Sammy and come to you, okay.”

“I wait in the bedroom then. Bye Sam. Greet Jess. Tell her thanks for the appointment.”

“Will do so. Rest a bit. It was a stressful day.”

Nodding you walk back into the bedroom. Maybe you should give Dean a second chance? You will be more cautious this time but if he only wanted to protect you he deserves a second chance.

Covering you with another warm blanket Dean looks at you. Checking the pillows once again he hums satisfied.

“Those are enough! I can’t sleep with so many pillows, Dean!”

“Uh…Claire. My new assistant did a lot of research for me. I know everything. I’m prepared. I know how to help you during giving birth. I mean if it happens here.”

“Here?”

“Yeah. Could happen. Right? In that case, I’m prepared.” Dean states proudly and you start laughing.

“As you read an article?”

“No, no. I asked a doctor.”

“I see. Can we rest a bit now? I’m really tired.”

“Okay. Wait. Do you want me to stay a bit longer?”

“You could sleep here. I don’t want to sleep alone.”

“Good. Wait. I’ll get my pajamas.”

“You can sleep in your underwear as always.”

“You sure?”

Nodding you lie down to close your eyes. Feeling the bed dip, you open your eyes to see Dean watching you. Tense he’s not daring to move closer.

“I’m a bit cold. Is it okay if I come closer?” You ask and Dean nods eagerly.

Moving closer you lie down onto Dean’s warm chest. Arms wrapped tightly around you he smiles when you slightly start snoring.

“You let her work three shifts? What kind of boss are you? I will sue you for sure! She’s pregnant.” Dean yells at your boss after you quit your job.

“She needed to work. Needed the money. I told her not to work so much but she was all alone and I couldn’t say no.” Your boss talks back.

“Dean. He’s right. I begged him to give me more shifts. He even shared his tips with me from time to time.”

“Oh. Sorry. I didn’t mean to. Sorry.” Dean stammers.

“Just take good care of Y/N. She’s a nice girl. Deserves the best. Reminds me of my own daughter. Long dead by now.”

“I will. Please accept my apologies.”

“Buy some pie and we are even.” The older man chuckles and you lick your lips.

“He makes the best cherry pies in town.” You whisper.

“Good. Then I’ll buy all the cherry pies.”

“That’s ten, boy.” Bobby chuckles.

“Ten? Fine. I’ll buy them all. Benny can help us eating the pies.”

“Everything is alright. Look. The little boy is healthy. You should take your vitamins and rest a bit. Stress is no good for a pregnant woman. I will run some tests but as far as I can see you are in good condition.” The doctor explains.

“Son? We are going to have a little boy?” Dean asks smiling.

“Yes, Mr. Winchester. You and your wife are going to have a son.”

“I’m not…”

“That’s great. My wife and I are very happy.”

Walking out of the building Dean takes your hand in his. Squeezing it tightly he looks down at you.

“Why did you let her believe I’m your wife?”

“I still hope you will wear my ring one day. A man can dream. Right?”

“You want to marry me?”

“Nothing I want more, except the little boy in your belly,” Dean says kneeling to lift your shirt. Planting a soft kiss to your swollen bump he chuckles when you tug at his hair.

“Dean.”

“Just a minute.”

“Dean. She’s watching us.” You whisper.

“Who?”

“Lisa. On the other side of the street. Now she’s coming over.”

Getting back up Dean shoves you behind his back. Puffing his chest, he narrows his eyes.

“Why are you with her? I told you to break up with that whore!” Lisa yells and you flinch at the word whore.

“Last warning Lisa. I took you to the dinner now leave me and my fiancée alone or you won’t like what will happen.”

“Now you are brave? Last time you were scared that anyone could get to know your girl is a whore…a prostitute. Fucking you for money. You even knocked that slut up.”

Losing his patience Dean slaps Lisa’s face. “She ain’t a whore. Y/N was innocent before me. If you ever call her like that again I will destroy you. Leave me and Y/N alone.”

“You will regret this little girl. Stealing my man is nothing I will forgive that easily.”

“I was never your man! You are only a gold-digging whore. Lying is the only thing you are good at. Cold. Heartless. Greedy.”

“I say it once again. Leave her or you will regret it. Do you want to lose your reputation, Dean? Does your family know what she does for living?” Lisa asks eying you up and down.

“Sam knows, just like John and mom. You can’t threaten me. I love her. I love my baby. Do whatever you want to do, Lisa. I don’t care!” Dean says. Slinging an arm around your shoulders he leads you toward his car.

“What shall we do know?” You sob.

“Whatever it takes to make us happy. She can’t destroy my reputation. Dad is the head of Winchester Inc. I will sue her with Sam’s help if she tries anything. There’s no way I will give you or my baby up.”

Watching you and Dean walk away Lisa takes her phone out of her pocket.

“Do it!” Is all she says before hanging up the phone…

Day 2 of my dragon share challenge: Favorite Lightning dragons

Nostopathy is another one of my god OCs. They’ve got a pretty interesting lineage being the child of a Solstice and a Victoria, who are two rival families.

Dracula’s egg I won in a Halloween themed raffle years ago and hatched him on Halloween. When nocturnes were released I used my first nocturne scroll on him. I opened so many chests of buttrocks to get it.

Hazard is a Naomi descent, which is pretty neat. But that doesn’t play into his lore much. He’s a scout of the Shade Haven, and has dedicated his life to protecting the Shade creatures that live there.

Voltage is one of my rejected primal dragons. When he was young he was forced to work for the Stormcatcher. He hated every moment of it and often broke down under the pressure. Thankfully he lives a much better life in Grim’s clan.

Copper is new but has quickly become a favorite of mine. He’s the dragon that sparked my idea for Clan Jamais Vu. He’s also buddies with Pixel, another fave of mine.

Rhyder is the leader of Blue Beetle INC, a Lightning based robotics company with some shady policies. I love to hate him.

Sydney and Calculated are two dragons that Rhyder has successfully brainwashed into giving their lives for the company. 

Jorry I have joint ownership of with @clan-stjerneklart. Currently he’s in my lair fighting BB INC.

Alaria is one of my oldest dragons. She was a newbie impulse buy and I nearly exalted her several times, but now she’s a solid member of Clan ton Theon and I genuinely love her so she’s here to stay.
