But apparently, he assumed too much. Gar tilted his head to the side to see if it was a joke—nope, not a joke. He sighed and scrubbed a hand dramatically against his cheek. “Not paint, dude. Just my lovely, natural complexion. Who would I be dressed up as anyway? Not like any of the elves in LOTR are green. Or short.”

Interference

Some find comfort in knowing after a long day’s work, you can just plop right down and melt the day away. Bruce gets excited because that’s when the real work begins. Not that the daytime facade isn't busywork enough, enterprises don't exactly run themselves-but the night life suits the Bat better than the one half of Gotham sees on the news.

It’s not like it was different from any other night, though. Just two days of nosing around back alley exchanges, and squeezing tidbits out of unlucky middlemen and he was already on the scent. Tips had led him straight to a mid-tier supplier to Penguin’s very own Iceberg Lounge, who just so happened to be appearing himself at tonight's drop off. Perching himself up on a water tower, he eavesdropped using the local surveillance to see just how many were involved. Didn't look like the muscle was big, only twelve were counted with guns- all with calm pulses. They weren't expecting any company, as a minute or two of banter overheard informed they thought they safe from the Bat, seeing as they've been doing this for quite some time already. 

However a quick scan to the west side of the Lounge showed some unconcious bodies scattered, indicating a struggle. Intrigued, Bruce glided off the tower and landed at the scene. A quick glance told whoever engaged them did so recently, and caught them off guard . The fact the other’s vitals still read calm though, means the unwanted guest hadn't made another strike-yet. This was his territory, and whoever was intervening would only get in his way. Activating his cowl’s thermal scanner, he could see that whoever had struck the thugs did so from the overhang , and then crawled back up the wall and continued their path of the rooftop. 

Grappling to the edge, he pulled himself up and looked around for the continued path. Instead of a path though, he saw another heat signature, poised over another group of thugs below. Disengaging the thermal mode, he stuck to the dark shadows cast from the rooftop entrance, stalking the form ahead. The other seemed to be lost in thought on how to strike, and was obviously not dressed as a mercenary. Friendly or not, interference will not be tolerated, but perhaps can be avoided. Still cloaked in the shadows, he narrowed his gaze, ready to counter if need be. “You shouldn't be here.”

He was taken back at the sudden quote by Blight, stopped in his tracks as he looked down at the wide eyed boy. Most had ever gestured to Crane in that manner as a harsh and demeaning sort of way to insult him, but Blight had taken the opportunity to reverse that for once in quite some time. He looked down at his bandanna as a way to confirm if it really did look nice, a subtle smile underneath the cloth was formed before the stitches reminded him to not stretch his face too far.

“Thanks. A good friend of mine gave it to me.“
