re: Abby/Bobby chemistry — YES!!! Between the hospital scene and their meeting at the station, I am full conspiracy brain about it. I swear, had Connie Britton signed on for another season, they TOTALLY would’ve hooked them up. Like, literally when she walks into the station, Bobby has a full on swoony ‘sun glowing behind her making her look like a goddess’ moment. I’m not saying they would’ve had Abby cheat on Buck, but she breaks up with him early season 2 and Bobby ends up dating her instead of Athena, and you know Buck would’ve been heartbroken. Like, the first person he ever loved (who possibly never felt quite the same for him) leaves him for his dad!! Ahhhhh! I 100% believe this and will never not believe it even if Tim himself comes out and says nah that was all accidental. It’s totally there. Thank god Connie left (no offence to her, but who doesn’t love Bathena and Bobby/Abby would just be so painful) (but also I would read this fic)

well i don't know if the show would ever go as far as to have abby leave buck for bobby askdfjhs and i do think their chemistry in that scene genuinely was just coincidental but that is certainly a wILD concept to imagine either in the show or in fic terms lmao

stargate episodes that should have been, part 55: aliens capture sg-1 and force them to compete in a game show! broadcast live to seven planets (and a moon) across five different solar systems! the game show host (who looks an awful lot like alex trebek) is, of course, not from earth, so none of the questions are earth-based knowledge. daniel does okay in the fortuitous Lost Civilizations category, but by “okay” i mean he got all of two questions right, because one was about the ancients and the other was about a civilization that used to live on a world they had visited last week. he would’ve answered every question in the Goa’uld category correctly, even the hardest ones, but teal’c killed it on the buzzer and answered every one first. actually, teal’c killed it in every category except for Science, and won the show. (sam didn’t get a single question in the science category, despite answering every single one right, because she only knows the earth terms named after earth scientists and how can you have a heisenberg uncertainty principle with no heisenberg? she’s not bitter about this, by the way. no, sir.) the prize is something really dumb like a single space tomato, because of course the technologically advanced society is primarily known for their space tomatoes and not their technological advancement. and teal’c has to stay to compete the next day. and the next. and the next until he throws the game because they’ve been gone for awhile and general hammond is getting Concerned.

every time teal'c gets an answer correct, he does that little head bow that he does.

& he brings home the 3 space tomatoes and the team enjoy some space bruschetta.

- cody, the foremost kat/clarence shipper on the team bc he’s pretty sure he’s seen the boy smile more since he started dating kat than he’s seen in any other circumstance. fully expect him to be the one giving clarence advice on things that he’s clueless about and taking kat out for coffee dates so she can spill the tea

- dasra who has decided that he’s going to live up to the bitchy gay reputation and be a lil bastard man who absolutely throws shade at the fact that kat’s around the team so much and yet she doesn’t actually do anything for them beyond dating clarence. it’s all about the petty enemies vibes

- bobby who i can almost guarantee needs to be tutored by kat bc he is, in fact, incompetent academically but hasn’t got a single mean bone in his body and has therefore latched onto the team mom w all his might. full of hugs for kat’s supportive self tbh

- luis chasing kat down on a regular basis bc he’s missing one of clarence’s jerseys and knows exactly who has it bc he saw her in it not too long ago? teasing besties??? maybe not talking all the time but being hella close regardless

- antoine doing an internship or a placement or some shit for her dad and just....... good god does he understand why she hates him as much as she does. sometimes meets up w kat to solely drink wine and talk shit about her father.

do you have any thoughts on ian’s relationship with frank? from what we’ve seen on screen, it’s pretty awful- but the stories told about growing up with frank (for example, the basement, giving them whiskey then leaving them in the bathtub, leaving the kids on the side of the road while ian had a 104° fever) make it even more horrible.

ah. that's sad. it seems like all of the kids have these brief moments of connection with frank - times where they see themselves in him, or there's a begrudging kinship. they all have them throughout the series, except for ian. there's some warped gallagher loyalty where ian claims frank as his dad for the entire series, even though i totally believe him in s2 where he tells mickey "i hate him more than you do." but he's in this with his siblings, no matter what.

frank mocks his kids, he steals from them and cheats them, he never gave them anything they needed.... but there are still those tiny blips of moments where they get something from him. i think ian is the odd one out there. he never really feels that with frank, whether it's because he's not actually frank's son, or because frank treats him worse than all of them. i think he gave up on frank pretty early on. and in the way he mourned monica differently than the others, i think he would also struggle differently with frank. ian is united with his siblings in frank, but i think his ties to frank are less complicated. i think he'll be surprised at the grief he'll feel - but i think he'll mostly be mourning what they all went through, and what could have been, rather than frank himself. and i think that's what the other siblings felt with monica. i am talking in circles, does this make sense?? asdkh

BUT. man. there's that moment in s11 where they're trying to figure out what to do with frank now that he's sick, and ian says something about his behavior.... and liam yells "he can't help it, ian!" MAN. MANNNNN. just some glimmer of recognition there. than ian knows how that feels. even if it's different and ian doesn't owe frank much (if anything) at this point.......... ian knows that fear 😭 that could have been very interesting 😭 would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this stuff!

also the whole thing with ian in the basement is SO UNDEREXPLORED, like what a wild thing to throw out there in the final season WHATTTTT
