You remind me of a rainbow. Sunny skies are nice enough, easy to live with. Commonly appreciated. Rainbows, however, are a lot rarer. They only appear a storm, signifying it’s over.

Sun made all the more beautiful because of the rain.

My eyes got a bit misty looking at this. The first time I saw a rainbow since I left the house was when I met up with my friends again that one time for the sleepover and we walked through the park. Aubrey and Kel were arguing about something trivial, Hero was trying to resolve it, Hector got in the trash, and Basil just held my hand. And he smiled properly this time, not all the fake ones. I could tell he was actually somewhat at peace.

It was a double rainbow, too.

It's you and your headmates! I didn't make a sketch for it, but I like how it looks. I hope you don't mind me having drawn this... I just found your art really evocative and inspiring. There was so much emotion with all of them.

I wanted to draw this for a while, but since you seemed down I decided to give it a go now because I thought it might cheer you up a little (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

Waking up to this was indescribable in a good way. I just. Words fail me right now, but thank you, thank you so much, I want to print this out and stick it on my wall ASAP.

The idea you were inspired enough to put time + effort into something for me of all people is making me all fuzzy. Thank you again. My day is already a little brighter :)

Did Charles ever fall into a lake perhaps during a school outing? Did Edwin hug him to keep him warm after that?

Or did Charles get lost after he had a fight with someone and Edwin talked with him to keep him company until they were found?

So far, nothing like that happened to Charles! But sometimes, just like any 4–year-old, Charles gets sad. Once, when Edwin noticed, he wanted to make his bestie feel loved and decided to make Charles a whole book all about Charles!

Charles couldn’t believe ten whole pages of nice things about himself.

Below: Charles loves to “HUG FRMZ (Hug Friends)” — okay Edwin is a little jealous when it’s not him. Edwin, are you sure Charles hugs Thomas?

Above: Charles can eat lots of “SPiSi (Spicy)” food like curry, wasabi, or basically anything that Edwin’s tummy cannot handle. “Wow” is right!

Below: Charles can “JUMP” the pommel horse. Here is Miss Jenny with her whistle and Edwin cheering Charles on.

Above: “BENTR (Adventure)” here is Charles leading the way on an ice cream adventure that definitely happened in Edwin’s heart and soul.

Below: “SMiL (Smile)” Charles does have “NiS TEF (nice teeth)” because he is good at brushing and gargling. Edwin thinks this is grand.
