why do so many people in amazon reviews want product instructions spelled out with words. most of the time when I see these complaints, adding text to the illustrated instructions wouldn't add any additional clarity.

I get that some people might process information better in the form of text but there comes a point when a matter is so simple that reading any amount of words is more complicated than seeing a visual. like if a coffee table arrives as a tabletop with four pre-drilled holes and four screw on legs what the fuck are these people doing leaving a review saying "garbage instructions don't explain anything". like how did they even figure out how to buy things online.

though I guess these are probably just shit-stirring "this is america and everything should be written in american" types.

Page 4. ---- (NEWS photo) Policeman rushing to prevent Reds from forming parade after rain broke up their meeting yesterday in Union sq. ---- Two Young Girls Held For Slapping Officer. ---- Three policemen were beaten and slightly injured and twenty-one Communists - ten of whom were women and girls, were arrested yesterday during two clashes between police and celebrants of the fifteenth anniversary of the founding of the Communist party in the United States.

The first clash occurred shortly after rain washed out the gathering in Union sq. during the afternoon. Regathering when the storm abated, the Communists Communists attempted to parade despite police interference. In a melee which ensued two girls in their 'teens were arrested, accused of slapping a policeman.

The second and more serious fracas started when two policemen, Sergt. McNamara and Patrolman Logan of the Simpson st. station, attempted to break up a Communist gathering of 3,000 at Wilkins and Intervale aves., Bronx. Both policemen and another in plain clothes, Patrolman Walter Feddern, were kicked and beaten.

After quelling the disturbance, police raided the Communist head- quarters at 1400 Boston rd., arresting nineteen men and women members.

I got my siblings raspberry pi zero w kits for christmas so they can set up pi-hole and I'm trying to save them a lot of trial-and-error hassle by typing up simple instructions but. it's hard when I don't even know what routers they have? bc that can complicate things.

ugh I better make sure they don't have fucking AT&T

anyway I'm doing the desktop environment version of the os bc I don't feel like coordinating getting their router logins and fucking IP ranges or whatever to do headless setup, and setting up wifi via the command line is a little weird so the lite os wouldn't work either (again I am trying to keep this simple). Plus idk how complicated SSH is for headless setup, I've never done it and even though I'm sure I could I don't wanna add on any weirdness for them to deal with. but I'm like. should I go so far as to install the os's for them or is just imaging the sd cards enough...

I also keep having to fight the impulse to be like "well I don't want to do all the FUN STUFF and leave none for THEM!" because like. I Am An Outlier in that respect I think.
