as far as i understood from previous posts, Machete loves snails, but how does Vasco feel about them? does he try to love them for Machete's sake?

Maybe "loves" is a strong word. He certainly likes them more than an average person, can get lost quietly observing a passing snail for a long while, and has read about them to understand them a little better, but they aren't his main passion in life or anything. He sees a snail and feels fond, positive emotions for reasons he can't fully explain. They're common, overlooked animals and they remind him of his childhood.

If Vasco ever picked up on this, he might start to doodle little snails on the letters they exchange (in an unintentional callback to the snails you might see in medieval manuscripts). But I doubt it'd ever go beyond than that. Vasco's innate relationship with snails is largely neutral.

i have two good news and one bad news. the good news are:

alby has started on looking through chapter two and coding it.

i’m almost done with chapter three as i only have to finish the branching in D’s route.

now for the bad news: my fever has gotten worse alongside my health. i’m trying to get the last few scenes done but i have a lot of plot points to check off and not enough energy. i’ll probably take a complete break from writing for a day or two and be on tumblr for the time being.

D’s route is turning out to be very dramatic and i’m happy since that’s what i had in mind from the beginning. their scenes are my favourite right now and i had so much fun writing them. here’s a little sneak peek into it:

Ok two things:

1.) I know I keep saying this, and I know you guys are always like, “oh it’s chill take your time,” BUT. I am sorry for not posting Project X stuff for a while and not answering asks. I’m in the middle of writing the next chapter (I think it’s about halfway done), and the final post about our secret characters is almost finished. I’ve been figuring out school and graduation stuff and also just trying to collect my life and make it neat and tidy (or as neat and tidy as it can be). I do want to try and get I think at least one chapter out a month. I think that would be an okay goal that I can work with. I won’t give myself a deadline on any specific day of each month, but just know once a month there will probably be a new chapter.

2.) Speaking of school, I’m working on a (fake) publication (aka magazine) about horror games, and even though it’s a typography class, I’ve decided to illustrate my cover image because Unsplash didn’t have what I was looking for, and wow. Just.. WOW. I gave a shot at drawing something creepy and kind of uncanny, and I’m shocked at the level in which I’ve done it for my first time trying this kind of style. And I wanted to show you guys. So it’s the image below. :)

Week 8 - Assignment two progress

When I started working on assignment two, I decided I was going to base it on which game I had enjoyed making the most and what game idea I was most likely to use for the third assignment.

The game I settled on was a separate platformer I had worked on early on in the semester which I enjoyed working on and was planned to be used for assignment three.

So far doing this assignment has been a refreshing and interesting change which I am thoroughly enjoying. I have found the screenshots that I plan to use for the one sheet and one page as shown below

Luckily for me, when I originally started working on this game I already come up with a name and some features, so this has made the assignment easier to work on.

From here I need to finish writing up my ideas and the other information required for the one sheet and one page, then add my information to the Canva designs.

Conditioned whumpee, whose caretaker is trying to convince xem it's ok to take off the collar now that whumper's gone.

Whumpee decides, in xeir head, that xey could explain to whumper if xey are recaptured that xey downgraded xeir collar because whumper wasn't there to give orders. See, xey still wore a collar, it's just made out of leather instead of gold. See, xey didn't think for a moment xey could be free.

And this way, Caretaker can be satisfied about aer "progress" in the meantime.
