My haitani father Shio headcanon is just a bit too funny cuz of how well it works that it sounds like a waste of perfect canon idea and crossover for both of wakui's works.

Aside from the obvious physical features very very obvious, identical eyes, nose, blonde eyebrows, rindou's face form, ran's hair color palette and (arguably) bonten hair style, blah blah i mean just look a the pictures below, you can also bring up any fact from either manga and add it to the hc and it fits in just SO WELL, i'll give the first example, The Haitanis are very obviously rich spoiled kids like have you seen their apartment? They have a fucking dj set, only rich kids with neglective powerful parents will have no problem paying for that, just saying, and even though i love him let's be real Shio is the type to be that parent, i mean cmon he's rich like crazy rich (filthy yakuza money yum yum) he tots would give his children WAY more than enough allowance so they can leave him alone, also the way they act, i've always the Haitanis were the type of kids that think they own the school cuz their dad is rich .

Nvm if this never becomes canon or both universes don't collide, it's just so entertaining to keep connecting the dots that were likely never there, like how Rindou is a heavy drinker cuz his father drank alot with the rest of the Yotsurugis and he tried to imitate him from a young age that it became an unhealthy habit or if you want to add more drama he only drinks cuz he looks up to his father but Shio favors Ran cuz he can posssibly succeed him (canon power complex) so Rindou resorted to drinking cuz it's the only thing like his dad that he can do. Heck yeah i made it angsty!!!

You can also add great context to his fear of Yakuza, picture this, when he was a kid he got up in the middle of night after hearing a loud noise to search for his parents and witnessed Shio (canon Yakuza) pew pew-ing some poeple and surrounded with scary men, that probably scarred him for life that he was so terrified when Kakucho got them interfering with some, OH OH something just came to mind, if he's the son of a yakuza yeah he didn't wanna clash with other yakuza families cuz it can end in a blood shed and risk his and his family's lives.

And i'm gonna add this one not very small detail and i swear i'll shut up (for now), i know it's just a stupid headcanon that is very far from becoming reality and i don't have to take it this deep but hear me out, why their last name is Haitani and not Yotsurugi like their dad, Shio is powerful and have many enemies right ? So he simply decided to protect his children and their identity by giving them another last name likely their mother's (yk like minato with naruto style plan ?) So Haitani is actually their mom's family name. I rest my case. Thank you for coming to my useless ted talk.

controversial opinion probably but the portrayal of astro as embittered, disillusioned and cynical due to his suffering in hamegg's circus is a really fantastic direction for his character actually. it's such a human response.

Frederick has bows everywhere all the time I think he likes those. For this reason I also believe Poppy would be the starter he picks

The blue skin specifically because. Well idk I get the feeling Frederick likes blue this is how I feel

Glisten has high extraction speed and Frederick decodes fast in his own game

why I DIDN’T rank him higher

I think Frederick would hate the 1* stealth and get sick of taking aggro all the time

I don’t think he’d like the teleport ability idk these reasons are based mostly on Vibes

Average extraction speed so not that miserable to play probably

It's actually not released yet! It releases on Sunday, what you're seeing rn are leaks. But yeah I've seen it, it's called negai no astro or astro royale and it's about Hibaru who is the successor to a powerful yakuza family but then makes a wish on a falling meteor! It looks pretty cool so far!

So I'm currently hyperfixating on Astro Boy again (only now there's also the added bonus of the Pluto manga/anime adaptation). Sooooo, I think I may make Astro and Uran inspired custom dolls before the year is up. And I know that's an odd customization, but I also know other people have made AGs based off their favorite characters (specifically I remember someone made Usagi, but I'm not sure if that person is active anymore), so I'm going for it. I'll probably take inspiration from different Astro Boy media, especially since their Pluto designs would be easier to translate IRL. Stay tuned I guess.

I love it when I meet somebody who is just as obsessed with Gyro and the episode 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' as I am, who also agrees we were robbed of more of his character development/healing and respective relationships with Boyd and Fenton!! I've been loving your posts.

I literally just sent a long post to my drafts covering my take on Gyro and Akita, so yeah I think it’s pretty safe to say I’m obsessed with both Gyro and that episode 😂

Really though, I swear I somehow don’t remember the episode being a literal masterpiece. I mean yeah, it was always one of my favorites, but damn. There are very few things I would change about it and I think everyone involved really gave it their all. I will die on that hill.

Personally, I wish we also got more insight on Gyro and Akita (hence why I have a post about them in my drafts) because I can see the ways Akita has influenced him as a character. Akita makes me want to start swinging when I watch Astro Boyd, but he’s also my favorite one off villain because of how interesting he is.

Also while I don’t necessarily ship Fenro, I love to imagine Fenton being a huge supporter of Gyro’s healing! Fenton is such a neat character even if I don’t focus on him as much, all of Team Science has my heart in their own way.

It's funny how while I don't mind being called Astro (it's very cute), I have at least four actual names to choose from and yet I've had multiple people still refer to me as Astro.

Again, I don't mind it, it's definitely a 'calling you by your username' thing. But one of my chosen names IS in my username and yet people go for the part that's not. It's just very funny.
