// I’m making this post, as a result of seeing way too much hate and misinfo regarding every character. Nobody stops anyone from voicing their opinion but the need to degrade a character, while providing BAD reasons or stating incorrect/out-of-context facts about them only for the sake of internet validation, is such a loser move.
We’re all in this fandom to have fun and even if you have something negative to say about a character you don’t like, keep it to yourself or in private with your friends.
Ayato:
“I don’t like Ayato, he’s overrated”, omg you’re just sooo different! Definitely not like other girls/guys!
Everyone is allowed to dislike whatever they want but if Ayato is your least/one of your least favorite DL characters, then your opinion ISN’T valid. This is a franchise full of abusive characters and he’s literally the most heroic love interest. Why would you hate the hero…?
“He’s dumb and annoying”, says the person who spends their time insulting FICTIONAL characters. 1) Japanese fans like dumb characters, since they come off as endearing; 2) Ayato outdid everyone throughout the routes.
He did more good than all of his brothers and saying that X, Y or Z deserves the main role more, is fake fan behavior because at this point you’re just setting up your favs.
Kanato:
No, you’re not cool for calling him ugly. It’s okay if you’re not into that type of characters but his design is not bad at all.
“He had no development”, he does in CL. It’s not major but it can still be visible.
The whole Teddy thing might be annoying to some of you, but his fans get why he acts that way. Let’s not forget that he is a victim of neglect.
Yes, he was sexually exploited too. Don’t forget this x2.
Laito:
“I hate Laito so much, he was so cruel in HDB 😢”; stop living in the past and move on already.
His development shouldn’t be overlooked only because your opinion about him was formed on something that came out more than 10 years ago.
He’s still the most fascinating DL character and I get that he might make some of you feel uncomfortable but don’t project your triggers on a character that’s merely made after a trope.
Shu:
No, it’s not Shu’s fault for the way Reiji acted. Envy is never a good reason to hurt someone.
“Shu roasts the heroine the most!”, I get that it’s rude but his insults are actually funny?? A bunch of people will like him for being brutally honest or a jerk because it’s literally a game for players with masochistic fantasies. They WANT to be roasted by good-looking men. That’s the point.
“Shu is lazy and stupid, he’s the only one who failed his school year”, genuine question: If you were an immortal creature that doesn’t need food or sleep to survive, would you still care about grades? Besides, he’s really smart.
“Shu doesn’t care about Yuma, he just feels guilty”, in LE he sacrificed himself for him and reincarnated merely because he wished to meet Yuma again and get on well with him in another life—
Reiji:
“He hurt Shu and Yuma”, well yeah but he was shown plenty of times regretting it and trying to fix things. Stop reminding this to Reiji stans because that conflict is already closed.
“He is so mean in other routes”, obviously?? If you don’t teach him how to love, he won’t suddenly act nice towards anyone.
Without him Yui would fail her tests and the Sakamaki household would be in chaos.
Subaru:
“W-What do you mean baby Tsundere is not soft innocent virgin boy? 🥺”; he has never been like that, that’s how YOU perceived him. Stop acting so shocked every time Subaru does something bad because he’s still a vampire after all??
Also, why are so many people reducing his character to Kou and/or Yui—? He’s much more than that and has his own interests, struggles, likes, dislikes, and so on.
“He’s irrelevant”; Diabolik Lovers has 13 love interests, they can’t make everyone extremely important to the general plot. Just enjoy a character as it is, it’s not that hard.
Ruki:
The cat jokes were funny when the Meow Meow Vampire art came out but MOVE ON. I hate that scene and Ruki was in the wrong but come on now, that’s not even the worst thing he has done and MB happened in 2013.
I understand not liking Ruki as a person, because he’s mostly not a good one, but this doesn’t mean he’s not a good character.
“Ruki deserved what happened to him in the past because he was cruel towards everyone”; while I agree that Karma hit him, I wouldn’t say any child really deserves to go through that. He was just a spoiled brat, who most likely wasn’t taught by his parents about modesty or kindness.
Kou:
“He was so cruel in MB 😣”, and HE HAD DEVELOPMENT! He’s not the same anymore, nobody is.
“He overreacts”, sometimes he’s not in the wrong and has all rights to be angry.
Kou isn’t afraid of going against Ruki, even if he’s the brother he admires the most, as long as he knows that what Ruki is doing isn’t good.
Yuma:
“He beat Yui up in the MB bad ending!😡😡”, it’s a bad ending for a reason, lol.
Pretty reminder that Yuma always tries to help others with Kou and Azusa, and was even willing to save the ghouls in LE.
“Yuma doesn’t care about Shu”, did we play the same game or…?
Azusa:
“Azusa is so horrible, he threw Teddy in the fire!”; and he only did it to save Yui, it was not intentional.
While not all his actions are good, keep in mind that he never means any harm and is overall such a sweet guy.
“He is too clingy”; I know that might not be everyone’s cup of tea but is it really worth hating a character just for wanting affection?
The Tsukinamis and Kino:
“They were too easy to defeat in DF!”; Dark Fate wasn’t entirely about them to begin with. Most routes focused on the boys’ internal struggles with their trauma and how to move past it.
“Kino is sometimes mean for the sake of being mean”; it’s almost as if he’s the ✨villain✨
It’s dumb questioning the morals of characters supposed to have an antagonistic role.
“Kino hurt Ayato in LE”; out of all characters who have wronged Ayato, at least Kino felt bad and wanted to apologize.
Yui:
“She’s dumb and ugly”; Japanese fans literally love her for being an idiot because it wouldn’t be fun to see the heroine being the best at everything or not making mistakes at all. Plus, her design is definitely not ugly.
Stop creating your own version of Yui in your head and ending up disappointed when she doesn’t act the way you expect her to. No, Yui is not OOC for liking being bitten, having a low learning ability or saying things she shouldn’t in the wrong moments. Nobody is perfect and everyone has their own kinks and flaws.
“She’s too innocent”; she’s not?? If you really want to see her thirsty, go play Ayato’s routes, especially the heaven scenarios.
“She’s weak”, she’s the opposite. Yui is one of the most mentally strong DL characters.
I can’t understand people who hate on heroines when they’re present in all routes and are the most positive characters.

I think it's insane that the two things we know about Vellioth are so contradictory and that contradiction makes him so compelling. Ok I can't explain this concisely.
...there we go.
[THAT INITIAL COMPELLING CONTRADICTION]
So Vellioth's epithet was "the Martinet" - meaning he was strict and enforced discipline, and yeah that makes sense. We learn of two punishments that Cazador suffered through, and "seeing your friend drained dry because you reached out to them" is pretty standard for what I expect a vampire to do, while the second, "getting impaled for 11 years for executing a failed plan, I don't even care that you were trying to rebel" is, I assume, the harshest punishment Vellioth meted out (Vellioth only lived 72 years! That was at least 1/7th of Cazador's spawnhood!).
On the other hand he was madly laughing when Cazador killed him, when he was melted to his bones and his soul was made into ink and trapped in the palace - how do you reconcile this behaviour with that of a 'strict disciplinarian'? Especially one who got everything to go the way he planned, which included his own very painful death? I can totally accept that his personality was not the stereotype I originally assumed (emotionless militaristic sergeant); that he was plenty expressive, that's awesome and I'm far more interested in his character now actually, but the other part?
If he is a meticulous and successful planner, why did he dedicate his life's work, as an immortal vampire, towards making a successor that carries his legacy but hates him?
Because I do believe Vellioth got everything he wanted, unlike Cazador. So that we're on the same page, here's an entire section to explain why.
[WHY I THINK VELLIOTH SUCCEEDED AT WHATEVER THE HELL HE WAS TRYING TO DO]
Mainly, my reasons are that Vellioth laughed and willingly gave his blood in the rite where he died, that Cazador follows Vellioth's lessons to the letter, and that Vellioth's presence leaves the palace when he feels like it.
For reference, here are Vellioth's lessons:
First lesson: "always to dominate. Allow none to be your equal." The example provided is of Vellioth draining a friend of Cazador dry, after Cazador reached out to them
Second lesson: "power comes from solitude. To share with others is to be weak, and to be weak is to fail... and die." And the juicy part, where Cazador was impaled for 11 years, not because he rebelled, but because he failed at the attempt
Third lesson: "to act not in haste. A near immortal has time to plan, time to act only when others will pay the price of action." Then, when Vellioth deemed Cazador learned his lessons, letting him become a true vampire in a rite where they both laughed
Notice that Cazador follows these better than Vellioth: he doesn't allow any of his spawn to be his equal - to become a true vampire, he's lonely, and he reigns for longer.
Also, in the game, once the player learns these lessons, "Vellioth is no more." After haunting the palace for two centuries. What.
Like in the same room there's a scroll that reads "For my sins, my soul was made ink and written onto this parchment, where its scrawl crawls sleeplessly for eternity - unless you free it." which implies Vellioth was trapped by Cazador, but I don't see why Cazador would make the freeing mechanism "tell some high-wisdom stranger about my past as a slave." That part felt like Vellioth giving one last middle finger to Caz, and choosing to ditch before he witnesses his spawn fail and die to the player. Which means Vellioth had chosen to stay "trapped" in the painful/humiliating display Cazador mounted entirely willingly.
Cazador objectively seems like the more successful vampire, reaching the Ascension that is every vampires' wet dream, but he ends up unhappy (I'm referencing that Detect Thoughts on Cazador in his coffin that reveals he thinks of himself as a monster that will not end, and eternal unlife as a curse). Vellioth, meanwhile; all signs point towards him executing his plans flawlessly, and without regrets. I can only conclude, for some reason, that this is the future he wanted.
[CONCLUSION]
What I'm saying is that Vellioth got what he wanted, but what he wanted doesn't makes any sense. His priorities are out of whack.
Why? Certainly the easy answer, in my opinion, is that he went mad, possibly through Cazador's machinations (how else do you get a vampire lord to willingly give you his blood?). I don't have a better answer - I don't really care about that question, actually. Rather, in conclusion, can I invite you to consider my attempt to compile canon-compliant Vellioth traits?
-> Vellioth doesn't fear death. He doesn't want to live forever. He never liked the benefits of vampirism (never thought of it as a gift), 70 years of unlife was long enough for him, or did Donnella ruin it for him?
-> Vellioth is selfless? Humble? Cautious? According to Astarion, vampires are power-hungry creatures who see all other vampires as competitors. Vellioth doesn't try to make himself known, doesn't try for world domination (as far as we know), and the legacy he leaves is purely in Cazador's name. He is, for some reason, not vain or power-hungry, at least not for himself. (I do doubt that a vampire can be selfless or humble though.)
-> Maybe he sees Cazador's accomplishments as an extension of his own? His lessons sure don't prime Cazador to perpetuate the cycle; he doesn't expect Cazador to have a successor. Maybe he thought Cazador was more likely to complete the Rite of Profane Ascension, and stuck around to see it happen?
okay thanks for reading please don't be too mean if I said something stupid. and a disclaimer: i do not care if your vellioth is not canon compliant. i love reading vellioths that do not at all follow what i have in mind. i analyze canon for fun, i am not trying to police anybody

Slowly re-reading / savoring the manga. My thoughts around the end of Trigun Maximum 2... So, Vashwood shippers, we need to talk. Well, every fanficcer really, but especially you... Why do I see so few fanfics covering Wolfwood's FEAR of Vash? All of the early volumes of manga, Wolfwood is seeing WEIRD PLANT THINGS. He was witness to the Fifth Moon incident. He sees Vash's healing capabilities in Trigun Maximum 1 and through 1 and 2, sees Vash's general endurance (the one time he got exhausted and sick and wrecked the bike notwithstanding). He saw Vash STILL IN THAT CONDITION sticking his neck out for others, just reckless with his own life and it scares him. He gets hints at Vash's general immortality and wonders if he is unkillable. He wonders at how much he is like his brother. Underneath the guidance and dare we say... growing friendship, there is this underlying terror. At least, that's what I feel from reading the manga. And it makes me feel like... mangaverse Vashwood shippers... unless you're ignoring canon and just writing something self-indulgent or you're writing a post-series AU, or at least a late-series thing, I feel like "No way they're bumping and grinding right away." And if they are? Any note on Wolfwood's wondering just what he's gotten himself into and just what he is romancing? Same with Vashmeryl in the manga... the sharing of PTSD stuff, the terror she has. She's gotta overcome her fear of Vash after that, which happens in the manga... I just feel "this is not a romance manga" and anything shippy is really self-indulgent on the fans. Which is OKAY, but... I don't know, I just don't see it when people insist on any of it being canon and it sort of baffles me at the amount of shipping this fandom has (okay, so it really doesn't because all fandoms have shipping... but, it's like, when a friend and I do shipping roleplays for Fire Emblem: Awakening, that makes a lot of actual sense because half that game is a shipping sim. It's Character Horny-Chess)! Not an anti-post, just me casually wondering, after going to the fanfiction section of Ao3 at how quickly and readily some of the shipping stuff is, even in non-ship centric fics when I go and read the manga and read "Wow, even Vash's friends are scared of him, at least a little bit, if not a lot." Poor guy.

Liveblog: Wakfu Season 2 (episodes 1-5)
Episode 1 - Monsters and Chimeras
Tumblr media
I didn't mention it in the liveblog of season 1, but I think it is probably common for a person in a group of adventurers to be a scribe/quest journal keeper.
(putting on a crepinjurgenite tinfoil hat) We know that Kerubim keeps one canonically, and that as a child Joris liked scrap booking, so my headcanon is as follows:
While travelling alone, Joris keeps a private travel journal nobody is allowed to read (it has: drawings and photos of views he found beautiful + quick sketches of maps and notes on environment to refine at home (HE'S CANONICALLY INTO CARTOGRAPHY, BESIDES PHOTOGRAPHY) + he gets sappy&mentally ill about it all, so it's cringe to him.) (Unsurprisingly, it never contains any sensitive political data or his objectives, and if he does need to write something like that down, he tears that page out asap)
Atcham doesn't keep journals as a rule (having a literal paper trail might reveal to the investigators the location where he hid the bodies)
While travelling as a group, Kerubim keeps the journal, and it's a pretty pragmatic one (for him. He writes down the most random things, from important info, to actual fucking recipies he learned and personal notes à la "NOTE! next morning after we exit the tavern i should buy tangerines. i think Joris is beginning to suffer vitamin C deficiency but is keeping silent about it as usual"). Unlike Joris, he isn't into photography or doodling, HOWEVER, he will purposefully ask Joris to take photos and draw maps/landmarks in that journal. Because Joris is good at it. (And because he has had a folder of Joris's art through ages 4-600 in a hidden room in the house, all framed and sorted alphabetically, and he NEEDS more items in the collection.)
Episode 2 - Rubilaxia
Tumblr media
It was mentioned at the end of the previous episode that Eva would be making her way through the Cania plains, and I am glad the series shows us at least one of the unique rocks found in Cania.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't know why, but it feels nice when the games and the cartoons represent the same place the same way. That's why I'm pointing that out.
Episode 3 - Remington Smisse
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(coughs) This sword appears in episode 1 of the critically acclaimed (and worldwide-beloved) show under the name "Dofus: Aux Tresors de Kerubim"
Tumblr media
Once again, the show has been planting seeds for Adamai's joker arc for its entire run, and still managed to squander it during season 3.
I have never seen a show fumble the bag that bad, I'm sorry.
Episode 4 - The Return of Percedal
Tumblr media
Big believer in rubitristeva. A family can be a dad and swdad (sword dad) and a mom.
Episode 5 - The Dragon Pig
Tumblr media
Wakfu Cannibalism Counter: 1
The reason I point this out is that, with every instance of inter-adventurer cannibalism in canon, the chance that Joris, Kerubim, and Atcham have tasted human flesh (outside of Waven) grows.
Tumblr media
On the topic of Waven Cannibalism Lore, strangely, porkassess, AKA the pig people who are stuck in a mutual cannibalism war with Bonta under Joris's rule (technically not cannibalism because they are a different sentient species from twelvians, similar to goblins and bworks, but I doubt it's much better...) worship the minor god Ougah (who is a mushroom)
Tumblr media
It is unknown (at least, to me) what the hell the Dragon Pig is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But he is definitely tasty.
Tumblr media
While they were busy grinding their professions and doing pizzlarva quests, he was dungeon crawling with his guild.
Also, let me be real, the whole conflict of "boo-hoo, nobody respects Tristepin" is random, mean-spirited, and out of character, inserted into the show simply to create conflict. Tristepin got resurrected after weeks of them thinking he was dead. They should not, logically, treat him this way (at least yet).
Tumblr media
Reasons I think Dragon Pig might be an immortal, perpetually reincarnating/perpetually killed porkass: Does this to a person who lives in areas surrounding Bonta.

Playing Bizarre Brigade with the ZZZ Characters and Judging Them!!!
Please note!! I only included the characters I have and that I can play with. This is in order of who I played with
I know what you're thinking, "why the hell did you waste your time beating the game with every playable character you have??" And to that I say, I'm top 0% in this game, I broke endless mode being too immortal and only closed out of it because the game froze. So now I feel like I have to invest myself into this minigame.
To begin, let me say this, if you wanna do this challenge yourself (not much of a challenge, just me wasting time), note that they all suck, you will be hard carrying, so play a character you're good at and know how to build. Ok let's start. Also I have the characters in front of me so I can double check what they do.
Evelyn - Gulpy
She definitely had no idea what she was doing, it really did feel like she was just playing because I wanted to and she just wanted to hang out. Also the character she chose opens chests to gain HP, and the NPCs can't open chests, so...
Astra - Queen Card
I have personal beef with Queen Card so I'm a bit biased, but basically you play her by only rarely getting hit, because she only has 12 HP, and when you're hit everything takes 500 damage, and your health goes down permanently. This seems different in co-op games because it feels like she doesn't do the 500 damage thing?? Or at least I never saw it happening. Also babygirl Astra kept getting hit and she had a total of 1 HP half way through the game
Asaba - Derpy Woof
Another one who just didn't play their character directly. You play them by adding as much dodge and speed as possible and barreling through enemies like a madman, but guess what?? This guys decided that no, running away from the enemies was a better way to play. Let me tell you, you cannot win just by running, by later stages there's just too many of them, you gotta learn to kill.
Miyabi - Gulpy
Same problem as with Eve and this character, but Miyabi kept trying to I guess circle behind the enemies?? It only got her killed. Idk, I remember her character just being weird.
Soukaku - Boo Fortress
I actually don't have this unit yet, so this was my first time seeing them (still haven't figured out how to make myself massive), but let me tell you Soukaku was actually really helpful, at least when she was alive. This unit drops dynamite all over the map, but Soukaku also just kept dying early so I only had that for a bit in later levels
Lighter - Slippy
This bastard 100% was using me to win, I know it. The unit he chose does negative damage but has 200% knockback, but the NPCs also don't knock enemies back, he chose this unit just to give me the extra treasure detection and income to help me carry and did jack all shit else, you're lucky I love you, you little shit
Piper - Baggy
Yeah, I really should have expected she'd go for the character that straight up doesn't move. Baggy's actually one of my favorites to play, but the thing is you gotta get the right items and also stay still, none of which she did. Girl, you could have literally AFK'd the whole game other than to buy some items, but you kept hopping around a centimeter at a time, girl I thought you didn't like moving!!
Lucy - Omnom
You have one job, ram into enemies and kill as many as possible so your HP doesn't drop. Why the hell are you running away!? You chose the tank character, play the tank!! Build up your collision damage and armor!! Sweetie, it's not hard!!
Caesar - Jade Cabbage
I'll be honest, I didn't expect the cabbage, but it suits her. The thing is this unit's whole thing is buying little baby cabbages in the shop and building up an army, but she just didn't buy any?? She bought maybe 2 of them, but even when I snag the other items she just didn't grab them, raise your children!!
Seth - Omnom
I had higher expectations for you, Seth, but you had the same issue as Lucy of running away. At least you tried to fight a bit, so I'll give you a cookie for that
Jane - Queen Card
She did not want to play, let me tell you. Same issues as with Astra, but it really felt like she was just there to keep me company, which I appreciate, but company isn't gonna let me win this on my own, at least try a bit!!
Lycaon - Capped Gallant
This unit honestly fit him, but I think he was just bad?? Like, I gave him all the companions the shop had to offer (this unit uses the powers of the companions they get), but it just??? Didn't work?? That's probably not Lycaon's fault, but what is his fault is him running from the enemies and backing himself in a corner multiple times
Ellen - Mr. Work
Yeah, it makes sense she'd go for the basic unit who looks like they haven't slept since the game came out. She also just wasn't trying at all, girl keep up!!
Corin - Periwinky
Sweet baby girl, I think she was playing in a way to help me rather than herself. It's like she knew her own skill level so she bought things that helped the brigade a lot. The unit she chose also reflected that since one of their things is a guaranteed chance of the alter activating. I couldn't even get mad at her for dying, she's too sweet
Koleda - Sir Purrcival
Koleda, sweetie, you can't use a character built on dodge as a steamroller!!! She was riding that roomba straight into battle like a knight on a horse, and then proceeding to not buy anything that could help her character in any way. You're supposed to be smarter than this!!
Grace - Red Scale
What the hell. She was actually good?? Idk how but she managed to get her HP and recovery so high that she just didn't die until much later stages??? I was not expecting her to be so good with that damn fish, I haven't even beaten the game with it yet, holy...
Anton - Frosty
Frosty works by shooting a ton when moving and healing when not, and Anton didn't build for either of those. One thing I do is if I see something that could help my companion's unit, I'd leave it for them to buy, but he never bought it?? What, was his Bro playing instead of him?? Actually, the Jackhammer could probably make a build better than him (/j, sorry that sounds so mean)
Ben - Box Shell
The unit he chose is odd because it focuses on companions, mostly, since after 25 seconds it switches everyone's ranged damage to melee and quadruples the damage they do. Same as Corin, I think he played to help the team (me, basically) rather than himself. I couldn't get mad at him
Nicole - Herself
The Cunning Hares are all units in the game, so they play as themselves. True to Nicole, she used everything, including her own damn HP, as currency. Also, with her the shop will sell knockoff products for super cheap, and she bought everything she could, no matter how bad of an item. Girl, you have 1 hp and have bought items that only give negative effects, please try harder
Anby - Herself
Her unit is complicated, so it makes sense for the AI to not know what to do with her, but the answer is definitely not to run into enemies and not buy the necessary dodge items she needs. She was also super hesitant to buy anything, for some reason?? Like, she took way longer choosing than the other units
Billy - Himself
Billy I had a lot of fun with because when you knock him around he'll fire a ton of bullets, so all I had to do was increase projectile speed and follow him around smacking him, and he turned into a bullet tornado. He only died a couple times because I ran off to collect coins and stuff, but other than that it was great
Yeah, I know these are just AI units and not actual thinking people, but it's still fun to imaging them as the characters playstyles, for some reason everything just kinda fit, but I doubt they had individual AI made for each and every character.
This was fun, I'm gonna go try and beat the game with more units now

Okay Per My Last Post (aka the poll about getting isekaied into a random Universe) here is how I would win getting Isekaied into the Mushroom Kingdom:
Step 1: Get a design that's suspiciously parallel to Rosalina's. It is ESSENTIAL that I become a counterpart to a member of the main recurring cast, and my best chance of lasting as long as possible comes from being the male counterpart to our one remaining princess. Other options include being adopted by Bowser as the 6th Koopaling, or becoming Wapeach, but I would like to remain a human male.
Also on the design notes: While I have to be a parallel to Rosalina, it is also essential that I keep the "just a guy-ness" the Mario bros have. It is essential to the dynamic.
*more under the cut*
Step 2: Show up in the next Mario DLC as a secret character that you unlock by clearing some stupidly difficult endgame challenge and beating a secret boss. Have a bunch of guides made about how to unlock me and become a beloved fan favorite. Theories abound about who I am and my role in the next Mario game. Because I am another guy in the roster, people start shipping me with Rosalina as a crack ship.
Step 2.5: Reprise my role as a secret character in another Mario game or a spinoff like Princess Peach Showtime. It is essential that a pattern be established of rescuing me from a secret boss. Nintendo must be committed to having me be in every game, even if I have to keep breaking the rules of the world to do it. I HAVE to keep being in the mainline games. Otherwise, Nintendo WILL forget about me. It's not me against the Mushroom Kingdom and its dangers. It's me against Nintendo.
Step 3: Show up in the next Mario Galaxy game as a playable character, again unlocked by beating some stupidly hard level and boss. THIS TIME THOUGH: Rosalina actually asks Mario to rescue me, further feeding the shipping fuel.
HOWEVER, there is a TWIST. After you unlock me, I will reveal a secret endgame set of levels that lets you unlock my backstory, where it is revealed that I am NOT Rosalina's lover, but instead the heir to her throne, and I get a magical girl transformation to distinguish myself from the bros. How does this work? Is she my mother? An adopted parent? A sibling? It is never explained, but all the shippers explode in horror. It is the greatest scandal to hit the Mario fandom since Chris Pratt in the Mario Movie. If I'm ever not in a game fans will riot.
(Alternatively, the entire game could be my proper introduction and lore like Galaxy 1 was for Rosie. I'm not picky, as long as I'm unique enough that I'm worth adding to DLC)
Step 4: Get added to the Mario Kart 9 DLC with Pauline because fans love me so much. At this point, I'm basically immortal because no matter what I do I will continue to show up for games. However, my magical girl transformation is a one-off fluke, and the fact I'm secretly a prince is never acknowledged again.
Step 5: Continue to be added to party game DLC until the release of Oddesy 2, where i have my own space kingdom with rosalina, similar to pauline and her kingdom. Mario can buy my magical girl outfit and he looks stunning.
Step 6: Profit.
Step 7: Accidentally do the gay hand thing (you know the one) in a promotional artwork, causing Nintendo America to apologize for promoting Gay Stereotypes on Twitter and take down the promo art. It remains up in Japan. Multiple news publications call me "Mario's first gay character" with varying inflections of 😡 or 🥰. Fail to get into smash for at least 5 games.

And so i finished season 3 now onwards to season 4 when that finally happens
I love how Subaru mounting off to the villains to buy time is a running gag him lecturing lust about how their supposed to be the big bad bosses and yet they all show up at once like "bich this isn't jjk why are you jumping this city!?"
Frankly i question their intelligence get wrath on the speakers she one shots this city and there's literally nothing Subaru can do about it
Also fuck greed the guy is creepy as fuck
Strips Amelia naked whiles she's out and Immediately asks if she's a virgin
Dear god no wonder he has to kidnap women to get them to marry him this man has zero game while also making them a meat shield
I also love Amelia trying to shoot him in the dick knowing Subaru there is a strong possibility he just wanted her to hit him the dick because of pettiness
Knowing Amelia there is a legitimate possibility she took his suggestion at face value of the groin being a legit Achilles heel
Also fuck why do everyone have regenerative Immortality was there a healing factor bargain sale!?
Did they go the demon slayer school of villainy!?
Everyone has a damn second or even third phase on top of op af abilities
Why was geuse so weak?
He had shadow hands
All his coworkers are either a weapon of mass destruction or could legitimately bring irl humanity to extinction
Speaking of op Reinhard needs to work on his timing but i like him
Fuck his dad tho he sucks
William is going through it poor guy
Fuck Gluttony they suck using rem like this
They made the right call no telling Subaru about it he wouldn't take it well
Also the character development on Subaru is on full display the moment he lost a chunk of his leg season 1/2 Subaru would have hung himself with his own whip and tried again he watched people die his friends suffer but kept trying rather then spamming RBD
he actually values his life now
Sweet
ok wtf is up with elsa!?
Does garfil have PTSD?
Is it some vampire power?
The hell is going on!?
And what did they do with her sister!?
And Julius....
I'll admit i said "oh goddamnit not again!" For Subaru this time
I said "oh shit" the moment he said his name to gluttony
Also is anyone ever going to question why Subaru apppers to be immune to gluttony authority and the white whale powers?
I mean we know it's because of RBD it only wipes out the current timeline memories but since Subaru still knows people from previous loops he keeps those memories and they fill the blanks (at least that's how I've been told that works)
But he can't tell people about RBD so does everyone just assume Subaru is just built like that?
Granted I've been told it's a bit of an issue with the story that no one really questions why Subaru knows this and why he can do that
Why does he seem to have a panic attack every time something bad is about to go down despite the fact he couldn't possibly know that
But seriously
Anyhow i guess I'll be going to fanfics to satisfy me for a while I've heard something about a theatre of despair people swear by so ill check it out i suppose
(i know expectations tend to result in the disappointment but i completely expect the fic to start with everyone expecting a comedy laughing at Subaru making a dumbass of himself only for everyone to be crying 10 minutes later because of how much Subaru goes through for them more then himself)

What would be the South Park characters Overwatch main:
Let’s start with team 1 (the main 4 +Butters):
Tank: Cartman obviously.
He’s that annoying RoadHog 1 trick but after Hog got reworked he became an annoying Doomfist 1 trick. Don’t ask him to switch even if he’s being hard countered. He won’t. Constantly complains about heals. If they win he says “gg ez tank diff” even when he’s done the worst in the lobby but if they lose he will say “support diff/no heals”. Every time he falls off the map Kyle types “?” In chat.
DPS 1: Kenny.
Kenny plays JunkRat mainly. He’s the type of JunkRat to go into the whole enemy team alone just to die but still gets like a 2k with his dead body mines. The suicidal JunkRat play. Will go out of his way to find the Mercy with his Tire even if it kills him. Will also circle around a Mei in ice block with his tire to kill her despite him also playing Mei too sometimes. Definitely made at least one of those TikTok’s of JunkRat using his sit down emote in front of the spawn doors on top of one of his traps. Spams the ‘ahhh it’s snowing’ voice line 24/7.
DPS 2: Stan
Stan is that hitscan player you despise. The type you sit there and think, if you didn’t play hitscan you would be terrible, spoiler he wouldn’t be terrible. His most comfortable character though is Soldier 76. Hella basic but he enjoys it. He actually used to be a Genji main though but he got tired of constantly being solo gravd when he was nano blading. Kind of expected Wendy to be his pocket Mercy (she did not). Will 100% flirt with a Mercy to get a pocket in the spawn room and taxi them back from spawn.
Support 1: Butters
Everyone expected him to be a Mercy 1 trick. They were wrong. When he plays Mercy he’s the stereotypical heal bot sugar plum fairy Mercy. Butters is actually a Brigitte main. He can play other supports if needed but he isn’t very good at them. He only wears the Goat Brig skin. Will throw the game just to show everyone the Katt Brig emote. Will also refuse to kill Wrecking Ball players.
Support 2: Kyle
Absolutely feral when playing Ana. The type of Ana that would sleep an invis Sombra because his ‘Sombra senses’ were tingling. If you’re playing tank against his Ana you might as well just leave the game or you’ll be constantly slept or antid. He might have thrown a bit of a fit when Kiriko was introduced. Now he just sleeps any Kiriko’s and nano’s a teammate to solo ult her for him. Will nano a Mercy. He can play any support though and as much as he loves to play Ana his highest win percentage is on Mercy. He’s Stan’s egirl pocket Mercy, he hates it (he’s lying).
Team 2 (Craig’s gang):
Tank: Clyde
D.Va 1 trick (he thinks she’s hot). Will spam ‘is this easy mode~’ after every kill. Gets salty when he gets D.Va diffed or if the enemy D.Va gets play of the Game. Owns every D.Va skin, emote, victory pose and highlight intros.
DPS 1: Craig
Hanzo main but is a menace when playing Torbjörn or Symmetra. Will chase after you with Torbs hammer. Will also put a Sym tp at the edge of the map to make his teammates fall off. His true strength though, Bastion. Yup he’s on of those players. He will kind of just play whatever character people find the most annoying at the time.
DPS 2: Jimmy
Plays only female characters. His personal favourite is Tracer though. He also loves playing Widowmaker but he’s terrible at her. Bro can’t land a single shot. Will definitely play Pharah into double hitscan and wonder why he’s dying so much.
Support 1: Tolkien
Loves playing characters like Baptise and Ana, just supports that can pump out a lot of heals but still defend themselves if needed. Throws the best timed Immortality Fields so much it makes people want to cry. Tolkien is the type of support player that would always make sure his fellow support player is okay. Like jump off the map to help a Mercy get back up type of guy.
Support 2: Tweek
Most people are shocked when Tweek says he’s a support main, they’re even more shocked when he tells them he’s a Zenyatta/Lucio main. Tweek also enjoys playing Mercy every now and then. Battle Mercy is in his blood. Will scream when he gets nanoed no matter who he’s playing. When he’s pissed off at Craig he will play Mercy and t-bag Craig’s dead soul and refuse to Rez him. Tweek is the most petty support main. You spam ‘I need healing’ too much and he will refuse to heal you for the rest of the game, competitive or not.
Let me know if you guys wanna hear who I think everybody would main in other games I play ^^

The Devil’s Minion week tag game
1. If you could have three things from the books, which Devil’s Minion scenes would you want in the show?
1. Armand finally giving in to Daniel’s request of becoming a vampire and turning him.  I will literally rant until forever if the show has someone else turn Daniel. I need Armand to do this.
2. The blood amulet. It’s so weird and utterly adorable. I’m not sure how the show would do this, is Daniel wearing it under his clothes already. Is it a ring instead of a necklace?  Either way, it’s cute. And the show should do it, so I can buy a replica online ^^. (Smell the money AMC)
3. The reunion scene, since Anne decided a throw-away line was enough (I will never not be bitter about that), I need the show to do Armand and Daniel’s relationship justice and give them both what they deserved as a couple and as characters.  2. What is your favourite Devil’s Minion quote?  From Daniel: What are you, an immortal idiot?  From Armand:  "I love you. If I hadn't grown to love you, I would have killed you before now, of course 3. Who do you think fell in love first?  I’m going with Armand, he said that he grew to love Daniel and I think that started before Daniel had fallen in love with him. It might even be why he decided it was time to start actively engaging with Daniel instead of just staring and stalking him. 4. During their reunion, who do you think made the first move to reconcile? Or for the show only fans, who do you think will make the first move?  I think Daniel did. I think Daniel has always wanted Armand and forever, just like he said, but he wasn’t sure if his feelings were still based on memories or very much still alive. So, during their hunt together Daniel realized he still loves Armand and went for it.  Armand taking the first step would be harder to imagine considering his conviction that all fledglings resent their makers. He would assume Daniel would still do that.  It gives us the perfect opportunity for another ‘what are you, an immortal idiot? moment. 5. What is their favourite sleep position together?  Daniel loves to snuggle, so definitely one where he can either snuggle Armand's neck or where they are more cuddled, like Armand's head on his chest. Which he used to do a lot just to hear Daniel's heartbeat. They spoon more in the coffin they share, it’s a smaller space than Daniel’s bed.   6. What is (one of) your reunion headcanon?  That Daniel, Armand, Sybel, and Benji all live together and are actually a rather well-functioning family. They play boardgames, competitive games, go hunting together and Trinity Gate really feels like home to them.  7. Who do they go to for advice about their relationship?  I think they both go to Louis. Which is pretty helpful at times, cause Louis gets to hear both sides of the story and then he helps settle the argument.  8. What is a gift they gave the other that the other values most?  Daniel still has the blood amulet. And Armand always wears a ring Daniel gave him after their reunion. It’s engraved with a D.  9. In a 100 years from now, what are they doing?  On this day technically show wise they met. The first interview was from the 4 of september. So maybe they celebrate their time together. An anniversary day of sorts. Armand will whisk Daniel away to a new place for a getaway. They decided it was their mission to visit every place on earth at least once. So, they tend to use this day to plan a new visit in.  I tag @ejfarm, @edwardashley, @sanctaignorantia, @cbrownjc, @birdisland to answers these question.

1-4?
Yay <3
Tell us about your current project(s) So Prima Lingua has revived itself again and is probably my most current project. The thing that I love about PL in particular is that I've come to adore every chapter of it, which is unusual for a project, especially one as long as PL but with such a short number of chapters. I thought I would really struggle through the Booker and Nile chapters because at least the Nile chapter is a lot of rehashing scenes from Lingua Franca with additional context and my brain didn't want to do that for the longest time. Progress is actually really close, I have two chapter left, including the one I'm currently writing, and the fic is complete. Which is also crazy to think about cause that'll be my second long-fic completed. The other project that's been taking shape in my drafts is a ghost fic for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla because unfortunately when I replay games I tend to get weirdly attached to the characters I know are doomed. Ivarr was one of those characters, and I thought his death had way too much angst to not play around with the idea of him haunting Eivor afterwards. Progress on that is that it's almost completely written I just have to nail the epilogue/ending and some placeholder text spots. What I love about it is that it is a fic about conflict and guilt and I really really love the dialogue in the fic because I made one of the characters unwillingly mute for most of it, and that gets addressed.
Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing Honestly, I'm looking forward to Nolexi and where I finish off the Lingua Franca series. I have a couple of scenes I refer to in my head that I'm looking forward to writing that are coded in my brain as: Yusef in the dark, Booker in Chicago, Nicolo gets mad, Nile in the museum, and the family dinner. They're kind of acting at my waypoints for the fic and oooof I have lots of feelings about all of them and cannot wait to get into the strange messy world of estranged and grieving no longer but still dysfunctional immortals.
What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? If I had to pick a scene from an existing fic, I wish I could see and have a fleshed out version of Booker exploring the Chicago World's Fair in 1893 that I touch on in Prima Lingua. I know I wanted to have Booker end up in Chicago for a while back when I was writing Lingua Franca and having Nicolo experience the world fair as a second hand observer was one of the best unexpected plot points I created when writing chapter 4 of Prima Lingua but. I also hint that Booker was literally a victim of H.H. Holmes in the fic and it gets brushed off cause Booker and Nicolo are too busy being amazed by everything happening at the world fair. Which having been to just a Venice Biennale, I get it. If i was immortal and getting murdered got in the way of seeing everything i could, i would also minimize the whole murder thing. Alas. I don;t really want to write this but I wish i could watch an episode of Booker and by extension, Nicolo, wandering around the Chicago world fair. i think it'd be fun.
Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like) (I wrote more than a paragraph) From chapter 1 of Nolexi, I have an exchange that just I was like. Wow! This is fucking rough! And what a great way to set up how rough this is going to be for everyone! I had a bit of character conflict in Lingua Franca, but the first two fics in the series are mostly man vs. situation/setting conflict not interpersonal conflict and Nolexi is about all the character conflict. So yeah. Many a struggle ahead for the group.
“No, I understand you fine, it’s not your language skills," Booker motions to himself, “I haven’t spoken Provincial since I was a child.” Nicolo tilts his head at the statement, his confusion evident for a moment before something like understanding, though understanding for what Booker couldn’t begin to fathom, replaces it with a blank clarity. “It’s a lonely life, being so far removed from that which you consider home.” And that’s- that’s too close to something Sebastien doesn’t even want to acknowledge and like a fool his mouth is on the defense before his brain catches up. “You’d be the expert in that, I think.” Nicolo’s sad smile doesn’t waver and Booker is ready to shoot himself out of this conversation. Fuck. He just always has to get the last word in doesn’t he. Nicolo rises from the table and Sebastian flinches if expecting a blow. “Goodnight, younger brother. Rest well.” Great job, self.

🔱 raph
🍋 - what’s something your character never got over, if anything? why did it affect them so much and is there any chance of them ever healing from it?
this one is hard to answer for the base modern au because it’s pretty vaguely defined. the two big ones are like
1) his parents Being The Way They Are (conservative wasps, emphasis on the conservative)
2) his relationship with marco
the former has a huge influence on his development as a person. in a lot of ways he lives to spite them as much as possible, though interestingly this doesn’t affect his aesthetics a lot. he’s a chaotic academia little guy who mixes leather jackets with nice sweaters and overall if he never opened his mouth he’d probably come off as pretty respectable. but he is not One Of The Good Ones and he never will be and you will catch him arguing with everyone there is to argue with and mouthing off at authority figures at every turn. he definitely develops a healthier relationship to all of this over time, but it instills qualities in him that will never go away.
the latter was just a toxic relationship. not abusive, but toxic. marco’s an alcoholic and a bitter, cynical asshole. so it’s hard to just shake that off. he’ll definitely heal from that eventually.
in other aus where we fuck him up more this is easier. the ivory room au has complicated lore with several Things He Will Never Get Over, mainly the murder of his childhood best friend, the murder of a Literal Child, and the murder of his boyfriend at the time (marco, actually). in the remix dreampack au, there’s an incident where he’s kidnapped and magically compelled. in the immortality curse au the entire point of it is beating him over the head with will dying over and over again, so he can’t get over that.
fuck him up too much and it loops back around to being hard to answer, though, because in like. the expanded hunger games au. there are so many things he can’t get over that i can’t even begin to list them.
🔱 - is there anything your character would kill for? why or why not?
yep!
from least understandable to most understandable: fame, money, his sister. i’m honestly not sure where his boyfriend fits into this, because like. yeah he would probably kill someone to protect hunter - actually more than probably, it’s going to happen in one au - but they don’t have the same relationship as some other pairs (looking at you, meeper and walec and pev) where if hunter was hurt raph would go on a murder spree. i’d say something similar about revenge for him - yes, he would kill to get revenge if it came to that, but with the exception of the dreampack au (where he does get revenge but he doesn’t kill anyone) i don’t hugely associate him with those kinds of revenge arcs. raph isn’t a forgiving person, but he’s usually more likely to swing for his enemies in a different way. the exception is avenging his sister. if olivia gets hurt all hell will break loose.
i also wanna clarify on the fame part: he wouldn’t kill someone just to get famous for being their killer. but he would absolutely sabotage others that he’s in competition with for a kind of fame he wants independently, and if it came to murder he probably wouldn’t flinch.

You Didn't Ask And I Answered: A Long Ass Post, Part 1
Questions are from this post. It is an ask game. I answered every single one unprompted. If anyone actually reads this post I will be impressed.
do you know how you want the story to end when you start, or are you just stumbling through the figurative wilderness hoping to find a road? It depends on the story. For all of my fics, I know the ending. For a lot of my books, I know the ending. For one particular project I am thinking of right now, I'm making that shit up as I go.
talk about a notable time a narrative or character has looked you dead in the eyes and said “fuck your plan, here’s what we’re actually doing.” SPIDERSILK SAMURAI. FUCKING SPIDERSILK SAMURAI. Pulled out so much hair over that fic. I'm proud of it but none of the characters stuck to the outline I had.
on a scale of 1-10 how much do you enjoy incorporating romance into the average story? 10, but it's a very specific kind of romance. They need lots of time, they have to have lots of banter going on, and some other stuff I can't put a name to. Read my shit, there's a very specific way I write romance.
what is the plot bunny you’ve been carrying for the longest? optional bonus question: do you ever wonder why you haven’t written it yet and experience deep existential dread? I don't know what a "plot bunny" is.
have you ever made a playlist about something you were writing as an elaborate means to procrastinate when you could have been actually writing and if yes drop a link, son Crossfire's playlist
do you have any kind of consistent writing schedule or just hoping for the best? I write every day.
tell us about the plot of the first fanfic you ever wrote Immortal being reflects on life and death.
what’s your relationship with constructive criticism and feedback like? do you seek it out? how well do you take it? Don't like it.
in an ideal world where you’re already super successful and published, would you want to see a tv or movie adaptation of your work? why or why not? TV show. Animated.
at what point in the process do you come up with titles, and how easy or hard is that for you? Early. Fairly easy.
what’s something neat you’ve learned while doing research for something you were writing? also, how much do you worry about doing research in general? I look things up as needed.
do you ever have trouble focusing on writing? how do you get around that?  No.
talk about a writing experience that has pleasantly surprised you. No idea what this question means.
what’s your worst writing habit?  Can't proofread.
where do you share your writing? AO3.
where is your favorite place to write? Library.
what is your favorite line you’ve ever written? "It won’t be the same, but I’ll keep you close forever, and we can run along the river in our memories, hearts and souls entwined."
what is your most and least favorite part of writing? Like writing fights. Hate proofreading.
what are some books or authors that influenced your style the most? Masashi Kishimoto, Akira Toriyama, Hideaki Sorachi, Hirohiko Araki, Chris Bradford, Chris d'Lacey, Jeff Kinney, others I am forgetting.
what is your favorite trope to write? Found family.
pick a writer to co-write a book with and tell us what you’d write about. @mecha-milkers and I would write about unspeakable cosmic horrors.
describe your writing process from scratch to finish. Hallucinate, fight god, black out, stare at the finished product, hit post.
how do you deal with writers block? Change the last sentence and move on.
on average, how much writing do you get done in a day? Several pages if not many. Not counting.
what’s your revision or rewriting process like? You guys revise? The first draft is the only draft. I have been reworking some of my older stuff (books) but don't have a process for it.
do you like to write one-shots or series, and why? Series, more time to develop stuff.
do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished? 28. And who do you share them with? I share them with friends.
handwritten notes or typed notes? Keep notes in brain.
give us a spoiler for one of your stories. Bad guy helps good guy.
most inspirational quote you’ve ever read or heard that’s still important to you. "Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are--it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can GET hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done."
tell us about one of your characters who’s an absolute joy to write Kusunoki Masashi from Our Samurai Souls--he's been through it all but still keeps his head up.
do characters influence your writing style? Yeah they running the whole thing.
do you start with the characters or the plot when writing? They come together, they tell me what to write. Half the time they're the ones writing it.
how do you name characters and places? They tell me their names, they tell me their world.
tell us about a character who’s very different than you who you love a whole lot Yuki from Our Samurai Souls. Despite what he's been through it's very peaceful in his head.
do you base your characters of real people or not? If so, tell us about one. I have a character in one of my old books (not a fanfic) that is based on someone I've heard a lot about but never met. I drew a lot of inspiration from the descriptions and stories I've heard to create this guy.
when creating characters, what comes first: appearance, backstory, motivation, personality, something else? They come in as whole people, I don't know how to explain it. Aside from a few cases (see above) I've never sat down and thought about making a character. They come to me.
how many stories do you work on at one time? Five to ten.
are you an avid reader? I try, it is hard for me.
best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten. See earlier about "I don't like feedback."

It's quite genuinely a mindtrap! Skyrim uses this particularly awful design philosophy of forcefully keeping your gear treadmill going every fifteen minutes, so at least four times an hour as long as you are doing some sort of combat (which is 99% of the fucking game) the game shits out a 3% damage increase in the way of a Flaming Orcish Waraxe over your Draining Orcish Mace.
One of the things you'll see from most people who play a ton of Skyrim is is that they'll eventually hit a wall and realize that the game isn't actually satisfying (and them begin trying to mod to fix it, which won't work for long) The combat sucks and lacks any form of skill or diversity of playstyles, the quests mostly blow, enemy variety is extremely poor ( 80% of your experience will be Bandits or Bandit reskins), level design is to make a hallway connected to 3-5 rooms that loops around to a 1-way passage back out, loot lacks mechanical function or variety, followers are near immortal meatshields and eventually any applied effort to making a character build (even legitimately without potion loops) will end up with you overpowered as all hell.
But what does that matter, look you killed a random necromancer standing in the middle of the road and he dropped a Lightning Dwarven Straight Sword! It's actually better then the LEGENDARY RELIC OF A AEDRIC GOD, somehow!
I can spend hours breaking down these points and make several more (Have you ever thought about how 90% of potions are completely useless both crafted and found and are ultimately just vendor trash that you can eat? Did you notice that there's four weapon types (One Handed, Dagger, Two Handed, Bow) with no distinctions besides a single branch of a skill tree?) because the games design honestly kept me frustrated and confused for 300 hours as I tried to play it like Morrowind and couldn't.
Tumblr media
the thumbnail title combo was really getting to me i wanted to scroll by and forget it but it was worming into my brain and biting me. so i thought well maybe he doesnt actually think this maybe he is baiting little freaks like me i need to watch before making any rash comments and 4 minutes in says how skyrim has so much content that is at maximum quality and i had to leave. brother i think you have to move on

Made an Engage tier list, this is purely from a combat standpoint not about how they are as characters! Gonna put some explanations under the cut. There are two spoilers at the very bottom of the explanation so beware of going below the D Tier section!
Tumblr media
Okay obviously I lied bc Sommie is at the top but how was I gonna see him and not put him there? Anyways!
S Tier: I genuinely never thought Alcryst would be very good but his insane Dex growths combined with a high Dex cap makes Luna an invaluable tool that procs often. If you give him an energy drop or two, while not necessary in the least, he'll become an actual nuclear warhead. Chloe is S because her availability + really good personal magic growth combined with Griffin Knight just being a pretty good class makes it so that if you give her a Levin Sword even as early as chapter 8 or 9 she'll be melting everything in sight and retains nearly that level of viability for the rest of the game. Panette shines with Ike though sometimes I give him to Diamant. Even still, slightly nerfed when paired with Hector she is still an i n s a n e unit and I would recommend placing her on any and every team composition you'll ever have. Genuine demon of a unit and I love her dearly. Seadall is self explanatory, dancer always S Tier.
A Tier: Jean wasn't on this list for some reason but he'd be at the top of A if he was. So much potential, he can do pretty much anything very well especially with Veronica. Hortensia's staff +1 range utility paired with pretty decent stat growths makes her the best healer imo. Yunaka paired with Corrin outshines any other dagger user in my experience though I do plan on messing around with her viability with Chrobin. Anna paired with Camilla as an axe Mage Knight makes amazing use of Camilla's skills and weapons, I'm aware that Sage Anna with Byleth is also very good but I'm very partial to this setup. Rosado reclassed into great knight and paired with Tiki becomes immortal against physical damage after a few levels it's wild. Alear being this high may be a surprise but they can be very good when reclassed immediately into wyvern knight after promotion. Kagetsu is someone I haven't used but I can't deny that everyone seems to think he's very good. Merrin provides good utility when paired with Lucina to poison foes during chain attacks due to her movement range and good stats. Louis is this high up due to his availability, amazing tank up until Diamant can take off or you get Rosado going and then he starts falling off.
B Tier: Diamant makes a good off-tank when paired with Ike, especially if he gets lucky with Sol. Goldmary is another candidate for Lucina who can make chain attacks a damage carry if you handle her properly on the hero class. Ivy is a competent unit though from what I've seen/read I messed up by not giving her speed buffs from Lyn which I plan to do in this run. Jade is another competent tank that falls off in endgame. On paper Zelkov seems better than Yunaka, however her synergy with Corrin and personal skill has her winning out to a large degree against him in my opinion. Good replacement option though if you get unlucky with her growths/lose her. Lapis is another good replacement option for Kagetsu specifically, she makes a very good Swordmaster though I also enjoyed her as a wyvern knight. Pandreo is the second best healer imo and can deal very good damage if set up properly/paired with Soren though I don't recommend this late-game as I'll explain later. Céline can be very good early game though she falls off quickly especially if reclassing Anna to Mage Knight and using Ivy.
C Tier: Etie I feel is a good unit though I can't deny that she falls off quickly when compared to Alcryst and in a game with such few deployment slots compared to viable characters I can't justify using her. Alfred is another character that falls off quickly due to his unique class being redundant with his low Dex scaling and his growths not being viable enough to justify another class. Admittedly I haven't used Amber much though from what I have experienced/seen/read he doesn't distinguish himself much at all. Framme makes a competent healer if you lose Hortensia or Pandreo, otherwise I'd recommend dropping her ASAP. Citrinne relies nearly entirely on Olwen's S rank bond ring Dire Thunder ability, she simply doesn't have the stats anywhere but her damage to justify anything else or being any higher. I'm actually not too sure on Vander, as with every Jagen I drop him very quickly so I'm not sure how he scales. Haven't heard much though so he can't be too fantastic.
D Tier: God I wish Timerra was more viable, I love her as a character but she's so utterly RNG reliant that I can't justify investing in her on hard mode especially when her role is filled far easier and more reliably by Diamant. Clanne is someone who if you're absolutely committed to using him should be reclassed to an axe unit to make use of his good accuracy and related growths however I don't personally find it worth it. Fogado suffers from somewhat lackluster growths and an utterly useless unique class, reclass to Warrior if determined to use him but there are much better options. Boucheron is a sad case because while you can make him viable it takes pretty hefty investment and quite some time to set up. Other than that one specific setup he's simply not good. Bunet I love you you out and proud creature, absolute freak of a character but I can't think of a single case you'd want him on a team other than a niche setup with Celica's food skill and even then it's more gimmick than anything.
Spoilers!
Mauvier would go in B Tier right behind Diamant. He may join rather late but his scaling is actually very decent and his base stats get ramped up very quickly with a little bit of work. I'd recommend giving him a try just for the sake of judging for yourself.
Veyle is a curious case because while I'd place her in A tier between Rosado and Alear I can see why some people put her in C Tier. She has two specific niches: a Celica Echo Draconic Hex setup to become a dedicated debuffer and the other being paired with Soren. This is what I was referencing above and why I place Veyle in A tier, when paired with Soren she becomes a perpetual near unkillable glass cannon to an unbelievable degree. Takes insane damage but heals it back almost instantly, I've seen her solo entire maps with this setup on higher difficulties.

(From this ask HERE)
Thanks for the ask, Shreedle! I'm so excited to answer!
Also, spoilers for the following series: SDR2 and Fruits Basket.
The character everyone gets wrong.
Teruteru Hanamura from SDR2. Look, everyone focuses on his perverted nature, which I do not blame them. The series goes out of the way to focus on that part of him quite heavily in the introduction and beginning part of SDR2.
What people neglect to see is the tragedy of Teruteru's backstory. All he wanted to do was cook and make his mother happy. He wanted to ease her burdens and pain. Sure, he embellished his accomplishments but he's a teenager. Of course he's going to hype himself up to be "cooler" because he's afraid of his peers rejecting him. Heck, adults do the same thing, so I do not hold that too much against Teruteru.
Canon also seems to ignore the potential Teruteru holds as the Ultimate Chef. Yes, they used it for Ch. 1 and the Trial, but there was so much more they could have done with it.
This has led me to form my Secret Teruteru Agenda. Every time I write him I write Teruteru as someone whose love language is food and cooking for his friends. I write him as a little flirty but as he grows older he realizes the errors of his perverted teenage self. Basically, I'm secretly 100% advocating Teruteru in my stories. I'm not sorry.
12. The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them.
I'm not sure if I should read this as "a character that people find polarizing" or "a character most would not say are their favourite." Regardless, I'm going to answer both.
A character that I like but is polarizing is Akito from Fruits Basket. I'd never, EVER try to defend Akito's actions through majority of the series. What Akito does to the Soma family, particularly the Zodiac + Tohru is unacceptable. Akito is an abusive, horrible monster through the entire series and I'm perfectly fine with multiple characters not forgiving Akito in the end. What I can say about Akito however is, I find the parallel of Akito's backstory to the Zodiac fascinating.
The Zodiac in Fruits Basket ultimately represents "immortality" and "never changing". Change is a part of life and the Zodiac not allowing relationships to organically grow ultimately makes it a curse.
Akito is a victim of parental abuse and neglect from her mother. Studies show that victims of abuse are likely to continue the cycle, thus creating something that never changes.
Again, not trying to excuse Akito's actions. Just saying I find the parallels to Akito and the Zodiac very fascinating. I also think Akito has a lot of character depth to explore, which I'm glad the series tried to touch upon.
For a character that most wouldn't say is their favourite but I like, I pick Hirotsu from Bungou Stray Dogs. I love older characters who are badass. I also love that he's had to deal with a lot of BS (from Soukoku) yet he has survived that era of his life.
14. That one thing you see in fics all the time
Well, this ask is called "choose violence" ask game so I think this means I can complain about the main thing that turn me off from a fic? If so...
Dialogue not on a different line. Please, I already have to suffer through this pain at work at least twice a year. Don't do this to me during my free time.
22. Your favourite part of canon that everyone else ignores
My favourite part of canon that most ignore is when I see regular characters in a fantasy/shonen/magical power setting and I think "I wonder what they think of the situation?" It doesn't matter if they don't know or know if the main characters have powers or not. I'm just so into Outsider POV as a writing trope that I consistently think this. Bonus points when the magic is a secret though. I love that with all my heart.
