One Knight Stand Charisma Guide

Prologue:

No choice to increase charisma here

Apartment:

Choosing to be a collector of Arthuriana won't increase charisma now, but will allow for a increase later on.

When choosing your job:

Being a News Reporter gives +15; Police Detective gives +5; Wildlife Biologist gives +10; Ambulance Paramedic gives +3; Restaurant Worker gives +10.

Note that being Police Detective makes some of the Charisma checks easier, usually lowering them by 10/15/20 points

Choosing to have a pet (For a moment I forget and believe it's my pet...) will give +5.

Picking the Polo Club will give +10; choosing the Book Club and then picking this option: "It's a good chance to practice my public speaking at least." will give +5 (the book club branch is not finished at the moment and will send you to the polo branch).

Choosing that you were abandoned will give +5.

Choosing Lust as your vice/cardinal sin will give +5.

Using Xyzzy in any part of your name (name/surname/nickname) will give +1 to magic, physical strength, intelligence and charisma.

Using Pendragon as a surname will give +1.

Polo Club:

Choosing Midsummer Knight's Dream as your horse will give +2.

Fencing Club:

Choosing to fence foil will give +2.

Talent:

Choosing luck as your talent will randomly pick a status and give it +5. It'll happen three times in total, giving up to +15 if you're lucky.

Picking either eloquence or magnetism will give +10.

Going Home:

Choosing to be an imposter will give +5; if you've chosen to be an amnesiac, choosing to be lying about your amnesia will give +5.

Back to the Apartment:

No choices to increase charisma here.

Conversation with Merlin:

If you decide to use a pseudonym, using Xyzzy in any part of your pseudonym will give +1 to magic, physical, intelligence and charisma.

Using Pendragon as your fake surname will give +1 to magic.

Note that this is mutually exclusive with the real name choice, so using the same twice will only increase the status in the first time.

If you're a collector of Arthuriana and with low silent/not mute, choosing "So that means I'm a reincarnated character from Camelot? And so is Adrian? And all these other people we're trying to find?" will give you Merlin's autograph which can increase charisma when packing your stuff.

Packing the Suitcase:

Choosing to bring the picture of the foster home will give +5.

Bringing a memento of the pet will give +5.

Bringing Merlin's autograph will give +2.

And this seems to be the last chance to increase charisma as of version 0.23.

Maximum should be around 71 points, if you don't use the names to increase status and pick magnetism or eloquence as talent. The biggest status check I've seen is 65, lowered to 50 if you're a cop. However, most checks seems to be charisma + intelligence. Highest charisma only check I saw was 35.

Have some concepts for her!! She's probably been the hardest for me to design bc she's got a lot going - for the most part she's the support/healer of the players, remaining on the backlines a lot, despite the fact she's the least likely to actually get injured being a doll and all. I was trying to find a balance between a magician/sorcerer theme and a doll theme, all while trying to keep the essence of her original design - I just wanted to feel like Ragatha. In the end it came out more seamstress/sorcerer themed that coud pass off as a magician look?

Since she's not very strong or fast, Kinger makes her this staff that holds some power she can manipulate or cast through it - the majority of its uses are for healing wounds and HP, but she does have some offensive and defensive attacks on hand to protect herself. But if she's trouble she can take the cork off the bottom of the staff to brandish it like a sword!

Ok this is intended with me as its target audience (as all my aus are to be honest). But I just finished tma and this has been stuck in my head for days so i gotta share it. I will elaborate extensivily if asked.

So DADDIES is basiclly the magnus istitute, and these guys are its employees (all intended as like easrly-mid 20s) tho its less archiving/researching and more stopping the monsters, after the mysterious dissapearences of the previous ceos (kiddads and previously the og dads) Willy takes over and hires Scary as the archivist (well not archivist more like investigator or something, but anyway hes trying to groom her to start the apocalypse). This institude is more web/hunt and less eye adjecent. The doodler is still a thing (tho its diffrent cause its the entities). And these guys are trying to survive, earn a living and maybe actually investigate a mystery, as shenanigans and terrors ensue.

hey thank you!! so well first of all it's a big "if", i mean if the game happens at all but in my dreams it's a simple small thing. actually i prefer it to be a rpgmaker game, and before you look at me like that, quite a bunch of rpg maker games are amazing. OFF, felvidek, lisa, HYLICS, what i like about them is that with limited engine they focus more on a style/visual design. i think with my artstyle and few ideas i can make sth that can stand out a bit. and inspirations were, of course, felvidek and KCD, because they started my medieval phase haha. but for the plot/character design/world, it was a lot of other things that inspired them. like for example, design for the Devil and the main plot were quite literally taken from my repetitive childhood nightmare, where said devil was. it's all a big puzzle with a lot of pieces

the combat achievements in particular are gonna be annoying... if i don't get spicebush yi sang then like. hitting 10k damage will be. quite difficult. i imagine at least. idk. seems difficult. and annoying.

defeating an enemy that has 3k+ hp in one turn also seems. quite hard. burn would probably handle it well enough. but i don't have burn. so. that's not an option. maybe thrill does it? maybe? i technically have a rupture team of sorts. (ignore a third of the team being. bloodfiends. i don't really have any other options other than like. using fanghunt hong lu and seven heathcliff instead...? that doesn't seem like very good replacements... i'd get wrath generation i guess...?)

the collection achievements kinda require me to do mdi. i don't think can get 15+ ego gifts of a second status while. trying to run a different status in a normal run. not very easily at least.

I think it's fine to dislike Strive for being a high damage, high offence gorilla game with easier combos, that's certainly not for everyone, but I'm actually going to explode if I see another person say "the power level is too high." are you for fucking real. if you're comparing it to, like, street fighter, fine, but if you compare it to XRD and say that I need you to please think critically for one single second

like, okay, fine, XRD doesn't let every character two touch you (except when it does, but it's pretty character and RISC specific) but holy fuck have you ever actually looked at that game and all the bullshit it lets you get up to

every single character in the game gets to enforce some fucked up looping okizeme except for, like... zato when he runs out of eddie gauge? sure, some of them are better than others, like Slayer's 4-way mix off of certain knockdowns, all of which lead into another 4-way mixup. you also have whatever the fuck haehyun has going on (genuinely i still can't block that shit it's fucking insane im glad she isn't very popular because of her difficulty and slowness) or johnny yrc zweihander

like. please. strive has two-touchy kaboom you explode gameplay. XRD has five-touchy you want to uninstall gameplay. stop saying the power level is too high i beg you XRD is not any less fucked up it's not a holy grail of fighting game fundamentals it's "we gave everyone insane bullshit so it balances itself out in the end" have you ever been in a venom 50 meter red glowy ball vortex or a johnny Bacchus sigh setup or gotten knocked down once vs jacko stop it stop it stop IT STOP IT

go play some XRD though. if you can get past YRC... existing, it's pretty fun and I want more people online to play with
