So a while ago I made the Marksman's house in Minecraft... Made in the Conquest Reforged pack on the ATLauncher. Yapping under the readmore.
The Marksman purchased the house in Ark's Noble Quarter mainly to tie up the fortune he stole from his Family after fleeing Kilé - it miraculously washed up on the shore beside him after his shipwreck, and carrying it about caused no end of problems.
Neither he nor Tharaêl (when he moves in) have any particular desires for decoration or superfluous house-things - it really is as empty as depicted. With no carpets or rugs to dampen noise, any movement in the house echoes unpleasantly. But neither of them make any noise when they move, so that suits them just fine. They see in the dark, too, so only bother lighting candles if there's guests round.
The garden (not pictured) - a generous description - is large enough for a water butt collecting rainwater off the roof and for the outhouse (plumbed into the Ark sewers! Fancy!) to be a suitable distance away from the house. Rather a fool's errand to even try to put a garden so close to the wall - it hardly gets any light. The only plants that grow there are horrible shrubby weeds that survive the poor soil, low light, and the Marksman's utter lack of care.
#prophet oc: the marksman#the Marksman'd rather live in the Undercity‚ truth be told#but Tharaêl would never‚ so...#speaking of‚ “Tharaêl's room” is a bit of a mislabel at this point; he sleeps with the Marksman#having long ago abandoned the pretence of just being the 'roommate'#and his room is now metamorphosing into a storage-room

hey guys! did you know curseforge isn't the only third party launcher you can use to easily play modded minecraft without having to move files around manually in file manager? there's been a whole mess of things going wrong over there, but now they've crossed a line beyond just being bad at what they do:

if you're now looking for alternatives, the one I've been playing with so far is atlauncher. I bought minecraft eons ago on this laptop, so... yeah.
here's a webpage that lists alternatives:
There's also Prism launcher, modrinth has one of their own, and feel free to reblog with alternatives you know.

kind stranger on the internet, if u have the time and it is no inconvenience, a tutorial on how to make the yog world work would be amazing and immensely appreciated T^T
absolutely no problem! i'm here to serve :) i'm gonna explain this with the assumption you have no idea what you're doing, just so it's thorough.
so, first thing's first, go to the ATLauncher downloads page choose one of the options that's under your operating system (windows, mac, linux) then run the program it gives you. (if it's a setup version, you'll have some stuff to click through but that's pretty easy)
once you've got ATLauncher up and running, you'll want to log in with your minecraft/microsoft account (unsure if it makes you do that at first startup anymore but if it doesn't, it'll be in the Accounts tab) then head over to the Packs tab on the right
go to the search bar and look for Yogscast Complete Pack, it'll be the one with the blue and orange icon, then hit New Instance and Install. it'll come up with a bunch of optional mods, but i personally just select everything except the minimaps and morph
once that's done installing (it might take a while) go over to the Instances tab, and it'll be there. you'll want to mess with it a little bit before opening it, though. there's be a bunch of buttons under the description and that's we're gonna be
you'll definitely want to give it more memory/ram by going to Settings > Java/Minecraft and messing with the very first option. the number you'll want to set it to depends on how beefy your computer is, so make sure you know how much ram it has
after that you'll want to hit Edit Mods and disable Flatsigns, Obsidiplates, and Switches, as the launcher doesn't like to allow them to run anymore
if everything goes right, you'll be ready to import the world save. go to the download link in my (currently) pinned post, save that wherever, and since it's a rar file you may need to have 7zip or winrar to open it but i'm unsure. i personally use 7zip
go back to the ATLauncher and hit Open Folder, that'll open your instance in your file explorer. open the saves folder (or make one if you don't have one yet, 'saves' all lowercase) and extract your world(1).rar into there. you should be left with a folder simply called "world"
go ahead and run the pack and see if everything works! i have noticed a few other errors that come up, so:
if it's giving you an error along the lines of "two dimensions have the same id," try heading to the config folder (same directory as the saves) and find TwilightForest, open that and scroll down until you see # dimension, then change the number from 7 to 250 (or whatever else works)
if it's giving you an error along the lines of "can't connect to [whatever ip/url]" try editing the config of OpenBlocks and removing all radio stations
if it's something else entirely, try re-running/brute forcing it a couple times then come back and i'll see if i can figure it out i hope this helps you and anyone else that happens to need it!! don't hesitate to ask for clarification on anything :)

I was just testing searching for mods on ATLauncher, are people seriously using shitty AI-generated "art" for icons now? Y'all are so unserious. And also annoying.

Learning To Love Minecraft Again (A Thread)
Written by Daniel T. Gaming
I've been recently falling in love with Minecraft again. After so long of not playing it. I decided to pick it back up & play it again, and It has been one of my favorite things to play in SO long. However, I did a few things to spruce up my newly found interest.

1. A Fresh Client I had decided to switch over from the tradition Minecraft launcher to the ATLauncher, a mod-eccentric client. And while it may look a tad confusing, it's actually very handy. I am now able to save as many different versions of Minecraft I wanted without my save files or mods controlling one another, unlike the official Minecraft launcher. on top of that, the official launcher also installs a bunch of useless Xbox junk because, well, Microsoft.
2. Bringing Back The Old With the ATLauncher's ability to save as many versions of Minecraft with their own dedicated files & saves, I am now safely able to play older versions of Minecraft as my heart desires.
Right now, I'm playing 2 different versions, Beta 1.7.3 (A version regarded by a LOT of people as one of the best versions of Minecraft to play today), and Release 1.5.2 (The first ever version of the game I EVER played back in 2012). I will still pick up & play Release 1.20 cuz I do like a lot of the new decor pieces & things, but if I ever just want to play a standard game of Minecraft, I have these 2 versions to keep me occupied.
There's also the old legacy versions from Consoles that people are coming back to, but I haven't gotten to those yet, but planned on them soon.

3. Making My Own Goals
My mind has always saw that "Beating the Ender Dragon" was the ultimate goal of Minecraft, and that once it's done, it's done. And while a part of me still feels that way, I'm slowly moving away from that, because that mindset has literally KILLED so many of my past Minecraft maps, and I deeply regret it.
So I started to make my own goals & my own rules. My current survival map never had a bulk smelting machine, so I added one. I never got to refine my mine & make it more like an actual mineshaft, so I got to go & do that.
I don't just want to make Minecraft a point A -> B kinda game. I want to make it a game about creating as much stuff as you can. There are people in this world who have been able to build worlds that have taken them over a DECADE to finish... so why not give yourself that same level of encouragement?
4. Playing With Friends I recently managed to get a personal Minecraft server going on an old PC. And playing with my friends has been an AMAZING experience. It's actually pretty cheap to run a server nowadays, and Bedrock editions now have general multiplayer support, so playing with friends is now becoming even EASIER than ever before.
5. Modding Makes The Difference Although I haven't got to do this one yet, I *am* planning on it, as it's been talked about by a LOT of people. There are actually a handful of mods out there that are not just for entertainment, but for bringing fresh vanilla-eccentric changes to Minecraft to keep its charm that it had in its early stages. Two that I have heard of are ReIndev & Better Than Adventure. Both of which actually run off of Beta 1.7.3 too, so that's neat!
I think personally, what these two mods are doing are GREAT, and I cannot wait to play them.
6. Making It Personal
Personally, I've been handling the game on a more personal level, and not too personal to where it's overbearing, but I mean as in I like to just do traditional fan things that I've done long ago. Watch Minecraft videos, pull out the old Minecraft merch I had from when I was young, listen to the soundtrack, etc.
I haven't felt this attached to Minecraft in SO long, but I am glad it's coming back. I might make this whole thing into a video, but until then, I wanted to make this thread to tell you all how I managed to finally get back in touch with Minecraft.

Okay Free MC servers allows me to get individual mods which is awesome. I'm used to making modpacks on ATlauncher but! I need a server that people can play when I'm not on (and refresh then too!)
Will set up a discord for it as well. I am worried about CCs finding it but I guess we'll get there when we get there. Also no talking about this on twitter ffs

You can also use ATLauncher!!! They have modpacks and aren't supporting war crimes.
Overwolf (Who owns Curseforge) is an israeli company which is supporting the genocide in palestine and funding the IDF

Dont use curseforge anymore.
For downloading game mods: If it's Minecraft, use Modrinth instead, for any other games use gamebanana or nexusmods.
The original tweet appears to have been deleted. and im unable to find it on Archive.org, but the tweets are still indexed by google.

They're still openly raising money for Israel, though instead of the IDF in specific its just general "those affected by the Hamas attacks"

I am able to successfully install a new instance of it through the Prism Launcher, so perhaps try it that way
