Everything You Need to Know About Microtech Knives
When it comes to superior craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology, and sleek designs, Microtech knives have carved out a strong reputation among knife enthusiasts, collectors, and outdoor adventurers. But what is it about these knives that draws so much attention? From their history and production to the reasons behind their premium pricing, this blog will unravel everything you need to know about Microtech knives.

What Are Microtech Knives?
Microtech is a premium knife manufacturer known for its high-performance OTF (Out-The-Front) automatic knives and cutting-edge designs. Founded in 1994, Microtech started with a vision to create the finest knives on the market, combining innovative technology with a dedication to excellence. Today, Microtech knives are a staple among those who demand precision, reliability, and quality in their everyday carry (EDC) tools.
Where Are Microtech Knives Made?
Microtech knives are proudly made in the USA. Their manufacturing facilities are located in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, where each knife is meticulously crafted and tested. This emphasis on local production ensures quality control and supports American jobs, which adds to the brand's appeal among knife collectors and EDC enthusiasts.
Are Microtech Knives Good?
The short answer is a resounding yes. Here’s why Microtech knives are consistently ranked as some of the best knives you can own:
Superior Build Quality
Microtech knives are crafted using premium materials such as titanium, aluminum, carbon fiber, and high-end steels like CTS-204P and M390. These materials ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and exceptional cutting performance.
Precision Engineering
The brand is synonymous with precision. Every mechanism, whether it’s an OTF deployment system or a folding blade, works with flawless accuracy, providing the reliability users need in high-stakes scenarios.
Innovative Features
Many Microtech knives feature signature elements like their proprietary OTF designs, razor-sharp edges, and ergonomic handles, making them functional and comfortable for any application.
Reputation Among Professionals
Microtech knives are trusted by law enforcement, military personnel, first responders, and survivalists, thanks to their proven performance in the toughest environments.
Why Are Microtech Knives So Expensive?
Microtech knives are often considered pricey compared to other brands, but their value more than justifies the investment. Here's why they're worth every penny:
Premium Materials
The use of top-tier materials like hardened stainless steel, titanium, and carbon fiber significantly increases the cost—but also the quality and lifespan of the knives.
Made in the USA
By manufacturing their products in the United States, Microtech adheres to stringent quality standards and avoids outsourcing labor, which can reduce costs at the expense of quality.
Innovative Design and Technology
Microtech invests heavily in research and development to stay ahead of the competition. Their proprietary mechanisms, such as their smooth and reliable OTF system, set them apart. These game-changing features require investments in engineering and design.
Attention to Detail
Each knife undergoes a meticulous assembly and testing process. This includes hand-finishing to ensure every product meets the brand’s high standards, leaving no room for defects.
Collectibility
Microtech knives often come in limited-edition runs or special designs, increasing their rarity and desirability among collectors. Some models, like the Microtech Ultratech or Troodon, have become iconic within the blade community.
While expensive, the combination of craftsmanship, performance, and durability has solidified Microtech's reputation as a trusted leader in the premium knife market.

The article, written by Randall Chaney for "The Armory Life," reviews the Bear & Son Double Clutch IV Out-the-Front (OTF) knife, a product from the Bear OPS division of the Bear & Son Knife company, based in Jacksonville, Alabama. The review highlights the knife's automatic-opening mechanism and evaluates its functionality, detailing the smooth double-action feature where a sliding trigger extends and retracts the blade automatically. Chaney emphasizes the knife’s quality, mentioning its D2 tool steel blade, known for its edge retention and toughness. However, he advises prospective buyers to check local laws regarding ownership and use of automatic knives. The article also provides a hands-on perspective, demonstrating the knife's effectiveness in everyday tasks like cutting paracord and cardboard while appreciating its grip and stainless steel detailing. The review concludes by assessing its user-friendliness for everyday carry and comments on its affordability compared to retail prices. I will always use this as my reference point for what Jason’s spaces look like. Neat freak Jason they can never take you away from me

And if we wanna stretch it I think even his squat is pretty neat for a 12 year old boy living by himself. He’s got decorations, he’s got his cans stacked neatly, there’s no clutter. He doesn’t have much but he’s proud of what he has and he takes care of it
#Jason’s spaces should be serial killer neat as a reflection of his issues and problems. Patrick Bateman type beat#I kinda love that he thinks guns and knives are peak decoration he’s such a man#(Friend that’s too woke voice) and I Do think it’s classist when people just automatically assume he’d be unclean#Jason Todd#Dc

So I am changing things that happened in RE4R to make more sense/be consistent. Some of them are big changes (like the situation behind the scenes/how the mission is even handed to Leon like that), and some are small.
But one thing that is absolutely being adjusted is how Leon grabs the knife that Ashley tries to stab him with. Because WHAT THE FUCK LEON?!?! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST WAY TO HANDLE THAT!!!!???
#he clearly is trained to use knives so even his INSTINCTIVE REACTION SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THAT#I feel like Krauser yelling “SLOPPY” when ai first saw that happen#anyways... ashley is still going to harm him. But Leon doesnt grab the blade like a DUMBASS#he uses his forewarm to block and she slashes when the stab doesnt work#Leon is so shocked he doesnt disarm her#but he blocks automatically. properly. as he has been trained to do#also I was expecting Leon to have an issue with his hand later based on how the devs wrote that scene#because a hand injury (while non fatal) is very debilitating so I thought it was going to be a plot point#anyways I say no!!! leon does not get a hand injury! he gets a forearm injury!!!#fanfic talk#resident evil#resident evil 4#resident evil 4 remake#re4r#re4#leon kennedy#leon s kennedy#ashley graham#re stuff

#so I have a ‘friend’ who is a complete control freak and I’m starting to think she’s a narcissist too lowkey#I wanted to host an ides of March party on Saturday and she was so vocal about how dumb she thought it was#until our other friends voiced interest in it. then she was all over the idea.#well she automatically assumed we were having it at her apartment until I said I thought we could have it at my place since we have#the fenced in yard and fire pit and it’s supposed to be perfect fire weather this weekend. she got huffy about it but ended up agreeing#well I made a comment in our groupchat saying I would get little ceasars pizza to add to our potluck#(everyone was supposed to bring a stabbable food or Roman themed food or whatever)#she immediately starts ranting about how gross she thinks little ceasars is and how we cant possibly do that#I told her she was supposed to bring a dish anyway and that I was paying for the pizza#and she was like ‘why can’t we just get a different brand and stab it with knives?’ and at this point I’m over the entire conversation and#I’m just like ‘do whatever you want ig’. so then she sends a pic of frozen pizza and asks if that would work and I was like sure Idc#so TODAY she makes a comment in one of the group chats about how her fuck buddy is coming into town and she’s bringing him to the party#I messaged her privately and was like ‘I don’t think I’m comfortable with him coming.’ and she goes ‘#‘can I ask why?’ and I very calmly go ‘because I’ve never met him before and this is my parent’s house.’ also she never asked me if it was#okay and I’m exhausted from traveling the past two weeks and don’t have the bandwidth to meet new people rn. I just wanted to hang out wit#my friends. and she comes back with ‘I just assumed we always had an oven door policy so I didn’t think I had to ask maybe because we ALWAYS#hang out at your place??? who in their right mind just assumes shit like that? so she starts saying that she doesn’t think it’s fair to#leave her fuck buddy at her apartment for that long and that she’ll just skip. I told her I didn’t want her to think I don’t want her to go#so I offered to move it to next weekend so more of our friends could come too and she agreed. then she asks if I want to tell everyone or if#she needs to and so I sent our group a message just explaining that since a lot of people were too busy this weekend we could move it to#next weekend so everyone could go. THIS BITCH then proceeds to send a message about how she’s probably busy next weekend but everyone can#come to her house on Saturday to watch movies instead. like wtf???#I feel crazy rn because she’s making me feel like a grade A bitch over this#and I’m just…..SO fucking mad about all of this.#Liz’s personal tag#Liz rants

i’m never going to fault someone for carrying a weapon they know how to safely use, but i am begging everyone to research weapons laws where they live before doing so. know what is legal to own, carry, or conceal carry, and know what each classification of weapon truly covers. this applies to much more than guns and knives. know what your jurisdiction defines as brass knuckles, what it defines as batons, etc. these definitions may be much broader than you assume they are. being able to buy something on amazon doesn’t make it legal. know the risks, make an educated choice, and don’t post your crimes on the internet.
#Blue Jay Chirps#sincerely: someone who loves knives and lives in a place with some of the most lax knife laws in its country#when it comes to knife laws you are often not looking for the term “switchblade” you’re looking for “automatic opening knife”#similarly you’re not looking for “balisong” or “butterfly knife” you’re looking for “gravity knife”#the laws and police are not on your side when it comes to weapons; the definitions are intentionally broad#most ordinances will define the terms they’re using#ignorance of the law is not a defense and you *will* be punished if caught especially if you are a minority#i’m not saying don’t take risks#i’m saying be educated before you do

Walking around my house with a knife when I'm alone will probably backfire some day but my fear of home invasion is too strong to stop
#tw knives#tw paranoia#if my mom didn't call out ''im back!'' every time she comes home. something bad could have already happened#i usually say my strongest responses to threats are flight and freeze but my body automatically goes to grab a sharp object when im scared#i don't think I'd be capable of killing someone though#i don't think I'm mentally or emotionally strong enough to handle that#I'm curious of what it'd feel like though

Need to make some friends who can teach me different types of weaponry. Either that or somebody who can tell me how to become one of those medieval weaponry influencers without sacrificing my life savings for a set of decent blades.
#this isnt for self defence reasons or anything i just think its cool#also its attractive as fuck#note: while this may be for show off/ fitness reasons i DO disagree with overly lax weapon laws especially where guns are involved#a semi automatic is a cowards tool give me throwing knives

thinking about why I can like one evil character but not another.. I think it boils down to the fact that I’m a massive fucking hypocrite!
jk really I think it’s just that For Me™️ they need to have some kind of trait or quirk or something that I like/find interesting. I need something to latch onto or I’m just going to dislike them.
like with Danse, he's not really a villain but he is an arsehole and ordinarily I’d hate him, BUT he is a synth who doesn't know that he's a synth! his entire life is just the false memories that the institute (and maybe later railroad) implanted him with. Then that life is entirely pulled out from under him and he loses nearly everything/everyone that he's ever known or cared for, that trope of turning out to be the very thing you're sworn to destroy is so fucking good im eating that up!! (bethesda you could've played around with this SOO fucking much like I wanted to him to fucking crumble under the weight of this and have a full on crisis and not just 'oh no im a synth D:')
and with Nai (Millions Knives) he’s the antagonist! he’s done some horrific things! And you learn that at the core of his character he does these things out of LOVE (and fear, although twisted) when he was as a kid him and Vash were complete opposites!! Kid Nai loved humanity! And wanted to be loved by them! Vash was the more skeptical one!! Fear was what made Nai the monster that he is now!!! And that fear caused him to dig himself so deep into a hole that he can’t see any other way out than to keep digging!!!! OOOH kissing you on the mouth!!!
But then you’ll get people being like “Oh? If you like X BAD GUY then you HAVE to like Y BAD GUY!” Like no?? that’s not how that works?? It’s not that black and white lmao.
#just because I like Millions Knives doesn't automatically mean that I HAVE to love Joshua Graham#I find nothing endearing about that man!#he's a cunt!#idc if this is just surface level shit either btw im just trying to get a point across#also this is trimax knives not stampede
