Yesterday I prepared samgyupsal for my family. It was sooo freaking gewd! When I lived in Korea I would eat this at least once a week. Living here in Arkansas, there aren’t many places to get Korean style barbecue and I was craving it so bad so I went out and bought the grill pan and a portable gas stove. I also got all the side dishes; kimchi, garlic, mushrooms, sweet potatoes amongst other delicious goods. If you don’t know what samgyupsal is, it’s pork belly. The bacon part of pork, just not cured or salted. Yes, it’s fatty but that’s what makes it so good.

I took this for photography class. The assignment was to do something black on black. It looks like it could be in a textbook about Chinese history and the captions below would read “Royal teapot used by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty” No?
