Today's inspo, the Sacred Kingfisher! The first of two parts, since I wanted to do one look for the b0rb face and one for the wings/feathers, but this one was really fun to do, the intermittent dotting look for the feathers was a really neat trick, but the end result felt flatter than the effort put in (´･ω･`)

But hey! I also learned that hairclips are viable makeup tools (for the black feathers above the inner lid) I'm still playing around to find a good way to do beaks tho :o

SO we have discussed this at some length... i guess it won’t be a complete surprise, but I love these hcs too much not to share!

if Keigo has any time off at all during christmas, you’re spending it somewhere quiet. whether you’re packing up and leaving town for a couple of days or shacking up in his not-so-lil penthouse, you’re having peace. even if it’s for one day only. 

there’s definitely a good sleep-in at hand, waking up midmorning to some fluffy snow coming down or perhaps some bright, winter sunshine! after a nice little lie in (and maybe some fooling around~ horny bird) you’ll drag yourselves out of bed for some coffee & a meal. 

now, i feel like keigo will have downplayed christmas in a big way. telling you he doesn’t have that much time off, or warning you he hasn’t had much time to shop, so when you come around the corner and there are stacks of presents tucked under the tree, the surprise is... quite genuine. of course you’ve been buying and making him things since halloween, but... your stack came about gradually. this appeared overnight!

you’ll take turns opening gifts- small trinkets that reminded you of one another, homemade gifts that you’ve been working on for month, and sleeker, more expensive things because you both appreciate a lil glamour, especially at Christmas 😉

he’s spending the day absolutely pampering you. whether that’s taking a long bath in his oversized tub at home, or going for a little soak in your rental cabin’s fancy cedar-walled hot tub surrounded by snowy trees. after you get out & dress you’re lighting a fire, putting on a movie and paying absolutely no attention to it as you kiss & kiss & kiss. 

christmas dinner is something you cook for him as your last little xmas gift- something warm & hearty and perfect for a chilly winter’s night. you put out candles, pair it with some delicious wine & have the most romantic christmas dinner at home. 

even if he has to go back to work the next day, he’s staying up late with you to wring every second of peace out of today that he possibly can. the moments he gets to spend with you are so precious, and he’ll never waste them. 💖

Organizing my glass cases/inventory and found one of my oldest skull pendants! 🙀 this tiny lumpy mouse skull on the right was one of my first attempts at an animal skull back in 2015. On the left is one of my current canine skulls- a lot of difference time and practice makes! I’ve found that my cases are crowded with quite a few old pieces that have been floating around my inventory for a while. I’ve added them to a special clearance collection in the shop where you can now scoop them for 50% off to help me make some room for new work!
