Bloodbath at the House of Death is a 1983 British comedy science fiction horror feature film produced and directed by Ray Cameron from a screenplay co-written with Barry Cryer. It stars comedian Kenny Everett and featuring Vincent Price. The film is an over-the-top spoof loosely inspired by The Amityville Horror and other genre films from the same period. Plot: 1975: Headstone Manor is being used…

The only ones that have ever really got me is comedians / comedy writers. Comedy is my thing. I adore it and dissect it and enjoy it. To be able to create and present things that make people laugh is, in my opinion, the most wonderful gift. And so when those people leave this world, the thought they will never again create makes me sad.
Spike Milligan was incredibly special to me. I was fortunate to have a few conversations with him, though I was only about 12 at the time and unable to truly appreciate how special that was. He was a dear, dear man and I visit his grave once a year when I’m in the vicinity.
My answer is yes for Heath Ledger. I was obsessed with him when he died and it broke my little pre-teen heart 💔

9.70 Mouth and Trousers
STRINGER: (To Cato) With all respect, Sir, it’s not about winning. We’re supposed to be on the same side.
The relief’s understaffed, there’s no overtime, and there’s a family feud threatening to turn deadly. Not a bad one for Barry to leave on, but it would’ve been nice if he had a proper ending, given that he was around for a while and fed rep.

barry giving precious head because she was crying too much so he just eats her out until she is crying for another reason, literally telling her "stop crying or i will give you a reason to cry" and that makes her think of her dad so now she is crying even more but this also makes her so wet.
sorry i am rambling but i just saw that barry pic and it did things to me
🐦⬛
BARRY ‘ND PRECIOUS
this has been in my drafts for literally ages n it’s also kinda short but here u go mama

barry knew how to shut precious up. it became a routine after years of the act. so, when he came home to her crying, he knew what to do. just like he always did. every time.
the minute he saw a tear drop, he rolled his eyes. he kept up the comfort act for a minute or so, rubbing her cheek n playing with her hair. but he couldn’t keep it up. he knew that.
so, he subtly managed to get her into the springy bed, laid on her back while he let her hold his hand. he claimed he had just the thing to make her feel better.
he carefully pryed her out of her panties as the tears continued, distracting him. he sighed at the consistent weeping, sitting up. he harshly pulled her up by the back of her head, fisting her hair inbetween his fingers.
he brought his face close to hers, pupils locking. “precious, if you don’t stop fuckin’ cryin’, i’m really gonna give you somethin’ to cry ‘bout.”
she looked at him, as if his words were being worn on his face. she had nothing but a look of uncertainty in her eyes. unsure, if he was serious about his words. but his words sounded too familiar. somethin her daddy used to say to her. a lot, actually.
precious had always been a cryer.
he pushed her back down by her ribs, holding her there in place. she let the words simmer in her mind, memories of her daddy taking over in her head. he brought his head down to her clit, placing a gentle kiss onto the bud. he licked a long stripe up her folds, holding her thighs down with his elbows.
she tried to silent her cries, not wanting to make barry any more upset. however, they were still there nonetheless. he continued his motions, his lips attaching to her clit to suck every so often. bringing his tongue back down, to her hole. she whimpered, from his actions. from his words.
he kept up with his actions, his hold getting tighter on her ribs. he brought his hand to her hole, letting two fingers slip into her. she sighed at the fullness, letting his tongue lap at her clit. his other hand, still allowed to hold on to hers. he wasn’t a monster.
soon enough, she came onto his fingers. he lifted his head up, seein the wet still splayed across her cheeks. he sat her up, shoving his two covered fingers into her mouth. he wiped the tears, on her cheeks with the pad of his thumb. keeping eye contact with her.
she swallowed around his digits, signaling she was done. he pulled them out, with a pop. he brought his head down, kissing the scar on her pussy that had been his doing. knife accident, that she never knew whether it really was an accident or not.
he grabbed her panties, putting them back on her. letting the fabric of the string pop against her hip. he brought her in by the back of her head, placing a kiss on the crown. pulling away, he analyzed her. “you satisfied, precious?”
she knew there was a right answer. and that there would be consequences if she answered incorrectly. she nodded her head, looking at him. he gave her a small smirk of approval, patting her cheek lightly.
he let her go, grabbing a towel off the doorknob and presumably going to shower. precious brought her knees up to her chest, letting her head rest on them. thinking.
barry had always reminded her of her daddy. the one she didn’t ever have.

Hey! I’m very excited for your new Supergirl book. I feel like it’s been quite a bit since we’ve seen Kara’s life on Earth. Which secret identity will she be going by? Linda Lee Danvers? Kara Danvers? A secret third thing? You also mentioned you like the show (same!), do you have a favourite season? What are your favourite characters?
She'll be going by Linda Danvers. As for the show, hmmmmm, I think seasons 1 and 4 are my favorite but it's been a while since I've rewatched any of it. Season 1 felt fresh and new, and in season 4 I liked all the stuff with aliens being public knowledge, also Lena being bumped up to main character and Dreamer/Nia being introduced. I loved season 3, too, I really dug the Reign storyline. My favorite stuff is when it would cross over with the Flash though, I loved Kara and Barry hanging out and goofing off. My favorite character is Lena of course, and I love Alex too, and Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor is a hoot.

Here are three posts, in chronological order, that I made in August 2024. And here is a clip from the podcast Robin Ince's Utter Shambles, from May 23, 2008, featuring Barry Cryer in conversation with Robin Ince and Danielle Ward:
I listened to this in the break room at work today, and got unreasonably excited about it, for reasons that I can't be bothered to explain all over again so I just linked my previous posts for context. Basically, it turns out that Andy Zaltzman, Chris Addison, and John Oliver are not the only comedians who are fans of this joke. Barry Cryer's version was slightly different from Andy Zaltzman's version, and certainly more coherently told, but it's basically the same. Very exciting. All the comedians want a head like an orange.
I've just finished that Robin Ince's Shambles podcast, by the way, and it was a lot of fun. Only six episodes, for that specific iteration of their podcast network, a precursor to Robin and Josie's Utter Shambles. When I first came across that podcast, I made a post about it in which I said that even though her name wasn't in the title yet, Josie Long seemed to be a co-host on every episode. Now that I've listened to it all, I see that I was wrong. Josie Long co-hosted the first four episodes - Chris Addison, Robert Newman, Mark Steel, and Stephen Merchant. Danielle Ward co-hosted the last two - Alexei Sayle and Barry Cryer - while Josie was off at MICF. That was a pleasant surprise. Obviously I love hearing Josie Long, but I don't come across Danielle Ward on things as often, and I like her so much that it always feels like a treat when I do.
Anyway, that was a great little collection of interviews, all from 2008, with comedians I find interesting, in a period of comedy history that I find fascinating. I could listen to Robin Ince and Mark Steel talk to each other forever. I could listen to Chris Addison talk about anything, forever. Josie Long and Robin Ince are such an excellent combination, the eagerness and earnestness and curiosity and inability to stop talking. I don't think I'd ever heard Robert Newman talk outside of his stand-up specials (his own stuff, and I once watched a film of a Newman and Baddiel stand-up hour, to see if it was any good, which it wasn't, but of course Newman's solo political shows are very very good) before this, and hearing him unscripted made me like him even more. Obviously it was great fun to listen to Alexei Sayle and Barry Cryer pull out all their old stories from their eras of comedy history. To be honest, the only episode I didn't love was Stephen Merchant's but it wasn't bad.
Anyway, after finishing those I've dived into the Stewart Lee episodes of Book Shambles, and Lee/Long/Ince makes for such a fascinating combination in discussions about comedy history (I mean, it's meant to be a discussion about literature and I'm sure they'll get to that eventually, but I'm 20 minutes in and so far they've mainly talked about comedy history, because that seems to be the main point of overlap in their interests). I really enjoyed his Utter Shambles interview too, about alternative comedy.
