This is based off of an interaction that happened on phighting the other day it made me giggle SM

1. MAP

You spawn on a road with sidewalks that have candles, you have a lantern in your inventory.

As you walk you will occasionally see an exit sign.

Halfway, pillars stretch up from the ground, most are normal but some are shaped like hands that reach to the sky. On top of the hands are weird figures with glowing green eyes and horns that look like something from the flaming horns series?

(thats the closest thing i could find,,,)

At the end of the road is the default Happy Home, though with minor modifications. An exit sign is right at the stairs and pointing at the door. Tube tvs are inside the home, a giant one at the middle against the wall with two stacks of tvs in the corners. The left side has one tv off, while the others are full of red static. They don't do anything when interacted with.

Note: This sorta resembles the thumbnail for scythe's teaser.

They also look like the TVs in broker's secret room (i reached the image limit so cant show ough)

Outside to the left and on top of the house are the same weird green eyed figures.

2. DIALOGUE

There are many figures running around saying various phrases,

phrases that ive seen:

"Help!"

"you traitor"

"do something"

"be useful"

"please help me"

"Useless support"

"Help me!"

"help"

"please just heal me"

"Please heal me"

"How's your eye?" (Idk if this is random dialogue or subspace dialogue)

Though, some of these figures are saying things from medkit ally dialogue.

Ingame dialogue phrases:

"Do I really want to work with a rebel on my team?" - Banhammer

"Hey!! Great seeing you!!" - Subspace

"How's that eye doing??" - Subspace

3. THE OVERSEER NEXTBOT OR SOMETHING IDK

You are chased by an overseer eye, it can't be stopped permanently. Though, it can be halted by positioning yourself in the right area, however, it has good pathing and can jump extremely high, so you can't hide from it.

Getting caught by it results in an image showing up on the screen, this rewards you a badge the first time you see it.

Random note: the eye is weirdly clean? im not sure if its medkit's eye or not since I remember soda saying that subspace just threw the eye away,, (not sure if this is still canon)

After this you get kicked from the game with the message "You must kill him to become him."

The interesting thing is that this is the description of the overseer eye cosmetic.

This probably means something like "you must kill overseer to become him" or something but what does that mean who is killing overseer huh what

The one killing him might be either medkit or katana.

KATANA : there is dialogue between katana and ban hammer

Ban Hammer: "You can't get involved with the business of the dudes higher up." Katana: "And who will stop me?"

MEDKIT : ok the whole thing is about Medkit so the kick message is probably the overseer eye talking to Medkit,,

Soda has said that if Katana knew more about Medkit, he would kill him. This could mean multiple things but very interesting hm

Another interesting thing is the jumpscare noise, it is a jumpscare noise used in old games.

The interesting part is what it is, the noise is actually the sound of the subspace tripmine slowed down, whether this was just coincidence or because of the subspace thing is unknown, it might even be both?

EXTRA . CHURCH OF THE TRUE EYE INFO

Not really related to the tower but just what we know about the cult

A religious group within lost temple, not everybody from lost temple is a member of it.

It is mentioned in Medkit's phone dialogue.

Every member of the cult is missing an eye.

Soda has mentioned that the reason why Sword's eye isn't missing is because he wasn't born in lost temple.

CORRECTION: Sword was born in lost temple, but wasn't raised in it. The point still stands that this is the reason why he hasn't lost an eye.

Based on dialogue between medkit and banhammer, it has been around for a while now. (THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME)

It is unknown what the goals or structure of the cult are currently.

They have a uniform, Medkit, Scythe, and Broker share the motif of outfits of mostly teal.

Scythe calls Vine Staff "blessed" in her dialogue with her, this is related to the cult somehow since in the same conversation Vine says "No! You and your creepy family can buzz off!"

^ According to broker, her curse is rare but she isn't the first one to have it.

They call themselves a family, and call Overseer their Father.

Overseer info:

There is barely any, but this is what we know.

They are referred to as a leader, it is unknown whether they are the faction leader or just the cult leader.

Scythe refers to him as a deity, whether they truly are one, manipulated the cult into believing they are, or the cult simply calls him a deity is unknown.

An alternative is that she isn't talking about overseer here at all, though if that is so we don't know if she's talking about a sfoth deity or a different one. ← if it is a sfoth deity, it is most likely to be darkheart or venomshank (or maybe even ghostwalker? idk)

and like no hate to soda, but when people ask her about how Xcharacter and Zcharcater would interact and she doesn't really give an answer or says 'its just a roblox game' or something along those lines it can be really annoying.

these are characters they've been developing for some time now that the community wants to know more about and they don't give us much at all.

i also remember when there were a few Halloween related asks, like just about what the phighters would dress up as, and she just said 'they celebrate Halloween differently' and didnt give like any actual answer

Paintbrush is a tank!!

They’re a mid range melee fighter thats heavy n slow but does high damage

ok heres the actual moveset

Passive- PAINT SPILL

The more you attack, the more paint you lose. Losing paint increases your attack speed but decreases damage dealt. Regain paint slowly overtime or by 50% upon elimination.

Using your primary attack covers enemies in paint each time they are hit. At five stacks apply slow and vulnerability to an enemy.

Primary- (name pending)

Swing your paintbrush forward in a wide radius.

Secondary- DRYBRUSHING/(name pending)

If at less than 30% paint, quickly slash forward four times, favoring speed rather than damage. Doing this doesn’t add marks to an enemy.

With paint, slash twice, dealing knock back and applying slow to enemies hit.

Q- DIP!

At the cost of paint hold ‘Q’ to drag your paintbrush across the floor, giving you a small speed boost. Releasing ‘Q’ or running out of paint: jump and do a flip into the air before slamming your brush down, causing AoE damage.

If you run out of paint before attack finishes, deal significantly less damage.

E- (name pending)

Use your palette as a temporary shield for up to 15 seconds or until it is destroyed. Press E again while your shield is still up to toss your palette in front of you and knock back any enemies.

( Once you toss your shield it doesn’t come back to you until the ability cool down finishes. It’s not a boomerang )

My reasoning behind the moves I chose

you can skip to dialogue if you don’t feel like reading a ton of text cause there’s a lot lol.

My thought process behind the passive effect with the stacking and everything is like- they’re ‘covering’ their enemies in paint, so when covered in enough paint (the 5 stacks) it makes the enemy slower and leaves them more vulnerable if that makes sense. I also wanted paintbrush to have some sort of big limitation which is where the limited paint mechanic comes from cause I had a feeling i would probably accidentally make them too op lol.

Primary is pretty self explanatory. Though, the secondary im really proud of simply because I like the name ‘drybrushing’ lol.

The Q ability was actually suggested by a friend. Originally Q was just a dash ability to give paintbrush a chance to get away from faster characters since they’re naturally slower but i liked the lil flip idea just cause that seems fun :]

Also I called it ‘dip’ because the slam into the ground made me think of dipping a paint brush in paint? if that makes sense? (though.. that is a very aggressive way to get paint if ur doing it how Brush does in the attack lmao)

Ok my favorite, the E ability!! So if you haven’t seen my other post abt them (go look at it!! their ref sheet, lore and character relationships r there /nf)

But yeah if you haven’t seen it, Paintbrush is based off of the ‘powerful paintbrush’ item, which also comes with a palette that acts like a shield. I didn’t want to give them both a shield and their brush, so I decided to turn it into a ability.

I will say this ability is definitely the most thought out one. The idea is that since Paintbrush is slower they’re more susceptible to being rushed by faster characters like say- Skateboard or Biograft for example. So this shield is there to block those attacks, but also can be used to knock enemies back to give Brush a chance to escape. You can’t attack with the shield up so it’s use is purely to just deflect damage until you toss it or until it breaks/runs out.

Ok so I’m here to say that unfortunately I may or may not be leaving the pressure fandom. I don’t know if I’ll be completely gone, but I may stop posting about pressure for a while. While I do still enjoy the game n such, I have a new hyperfix on phighting, and the pressure fandom has become a little too unbearable for me to stay.

Both the fandom and the devs have ruined things a little for me. The fandom became too petty and childish. The whole zerum drama was ridiculously childish, and neither the fandom nor the devs handled it well. Zerum, while not technically doing anything wrong, admitted to only doing things such as giving Sebastian the ring to upset the fandom. She purposefully tore the fandom apart, and caused more drama. Do I think she should’ve stopped shipping herself with him? No. But I think she could’ve handled things so much better, instead of filling his shop with references to her in order to spite and upset the fandom.

The fandom are not innocent either. Sending death threats to zerum and causing an ungodly amount of ruckus was incredibly unnecessary. No, she did not ban anyone for self-shipping. No, she was not rude to anyone who self-shipped. No, she has not done like 90% of the things the fandom are accusing her of doing. The zerum drama should have ended ages ago, and yet I am STILL seeing fans constantly complain about her. Get over it. The constant whining from the fan base is the main thing that drove me away if I’m being honest.

Not only that, but the devs, in my personal opinion, are trying too hard to control the fan base. Removing lines from Sebastian (and no, I’m not talking about the meme lines, idc that they’re gone) just because the fandom mischaracterises him feels very off to me. Mischaracterisation happens in fandoms. You cannot control it. If the devs had removed lines because they personally felt they didn’t fit his character, then that would’ve been fine! But the fact they removed them because they wanted to almost control the fandom with their characterisations n such is what puts me off. It’s their character, they can do whatever they like with him! And I get being upset that your fan base isn’t perceiving your character as you hoped they would, but having to change your game and the character itself to try and warp how your fandom sees them isn’t something they should be having to do. It feels almost as though they aren’t fully prepared for a large fan base. I’m not just basing it off of this one incident either. Even before the fandom got big, there were several incidents that happened within the discord server that were not handled well by zeal and the mod team. Even back then, I worried about the fandom getting big, as those incidents had me concerned on how they’d handle a larger fandom.

Anyways, I probably won’t stop playing pressure, because I do like the actual game itself. Believe it or not I’m not one of those people who only play for Sebastian. I am actually someone who played during the testing stages, and have enjoyed the game for a while, and I can say with confidence, it was much better back then. I will likely just limit my interaction with the fandom, as a lot of the people in it just aren’t fun to be around. I wish more people saw pressure for the game it is, instead of just thirsting over the fish shopkeeper. If the fandom actually enjoyed pressure for pressure, then I swear 90% of the problems caused would not have happened, and the fandom would be a much more enjoyable space.

I MIGHT still post about pressure, but not fully interact with the fandom? I may post pressure art n such, but I probably won’t be interacting with other pressure artists or just the pressure fandom space in general. I’ll just sorta,, cut myself off from the rest of the fandom and just post things from my own little safety bubble lol, tho I don’t draw much pressure stuff anymore anyways so yk, we’ll see

vent stuff. just talking about Block Tales + Demo 4 (more or less my anxiety about the game itself) and how my overall mental health is affecting my enjoyment of the game. also just yapping about my issues in general.

you know, originally when I saw the fact that Demo 4 released for Block Tales, I was actually kinda excited. but actually seeing it, potentially being able to play it? it filled me with anxiety.

I feel like I’ve failed the Block Tales community so bad that I can’t go back to that fandom anymore. that I’m not allowed to enjoy any of its content. and it sucks, it really sucks.

with how extraordinarily mediocre Playerswap was received, and the fact that I basically left my passion project for the game to rot…I feel like I’m not allowed to go there anymore. I dunno, it just feels wrong.

I know it’s (probably) just anxiety speaking…but when I tried to pick up the game again I immediately clicked off and closed Roblox completely. I keep seeing posts about Demo 4 and I’ve very actively avoided them because my chest starts tightening and giving me aches/pains. I genuinely can’t pick up the fucking game without a flight or fight response kicking in. what the hell man.

I don’t know. maybe I’m just irreversibly anxious about the game/community now. I guess I just never fully felt welcomed by the entire community. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there were a handful of folks that actively interacted with me…but I just felt out of place. I didn’t get the same warm reception as a few of the other games I’ve indulged in.

it’s not the same feelings I have about SCP/Phighting/Dandy’s World/Forsaken either.

With my SCP fic/content/overall consumption I still feel entirely happy and comfortable with actually…you know, indulging myself. like I could just post a chapter of the fic like nothing ever happened, or chat with people in the community, or play games pertaining to it. it’s fulfilling, even.

Phighting is a strange fandom for me. despite being widely forgotten by the content creating parts of the fandom, I’m actually very comfortable with the game itself and I feel really happy and excited whenever I rejoin it after a long hiatus. in general the gameplay loop is exceedingly enjoyable for me, as it’s an easy to play fighting game that’s pretty streamlined on mobile and has a silly fanbase. I’ve yet to encounter any genuinely toxic players (although I am well aware that they exist) and the characters that you can pick from are pretty easy to pick up (I was an old Boombox main, I still play Boombox bit more frequently play Vinestaff/Medkit/Rocket and I’m slowly learning Skateboard).

I actively play Dandy’s World and enjoy the gameplay loop enough to last an hour or two each day. I have major gripes with some of the members of the community + some of the actual player base themselves, however overall I don’t feel too stressed about it. it’s more of the fact that I am REALLY good at solo runs and that I can just play by myself without having to carry a team or worry about other players. it’s very much a collection based game, and I really enjoy games that I can just (almost) mindlessly farm on while procrastinating or just needing a time burning game in general.

Forsaken is one of those games that I don’t really actively play that much anymore, however I’m still interested/invested in the lore and characters. I don’t feel as comfortable with rejoining the game itself as Phighting/Dandy’s World (I’m shit at the game) but the community has been rather welcoming and enjoyable (even if I have personally encountered multiple cornballs and overall shitty/toxic people). the thing of note is that I’m mainly in it for the actual lore and characters, which doesn’t typically happen, but I’ve spent genuine time and effort learning about the characters and the universe and making headcanons and yadda yadda. For some time this was my relationship with Phighting (not anymore) but it doesn’t worry me too much still I’m still pretty interested in the game.

my problem with Block Tales kind of just boiled down to the fact that I never felt fully welcomed. I won’t reveal what Discord server I joined, however I felt very out of place and unwelcomed by a majority of the people there, honestly. I felt pretty stifled and uncomfortable in the server even after making a few attempts at striking up conversations, and the only people that talked to me were people that I ended up talking with outside of the server. seriously, there were like…three people in that server that I felt comfortable talking to. it was bad. I also felt pretty depressed after leaving the server and for a while afterwards, since leaving the server was basically my downhill descent into both my ‘suicide season’ (SAD) and losing interest in the game. I can’t tell if it’s the negative connotations between my severe depression season and the game/community, or if it’s the fact that my serious content gained little to no traction (literally only my shitposts/posts on the emotions got views/comments). I felt very discouraged. I was so happy with the entirety of the Playerswap AU, but it felt like people only wanted to see content on the emotions and ONLY content on the emotions got noticed. it really fucked with my already shit mental health, and I think dropping the game/content creation/fandom altogether was a net positive to me.

I just…feel like I’ve already burned that bridge, though. that nobody truly liked me, and that I should just stay fully away from content creating for Block Tales in general. it brings back bad memories and I feel so anxious and genuinely depressed thinking about it. Block Tales was supposed to be the outlet of my happiness, but when I saw that nothing on that blog was truly worth anything to anybody…it killed me.

and I’m not kidding when I called it ‘suicide season’ earlier. my therapist is well aware of the fact that I had spiraled multiple times in that ‘season’, and it was fucking with every other aspect of my life. I was self-isolating, escaping reality with fiction, etc. and I guess all of that ended up permanently damaging my relationship with Block Tales/its community.

but hey, that’s just…my thoughts. I know that nobody really cares, I just…wanted to put this out there.

Hi!! First ask to me lesgo! Thank YOU for hanging around, willow anon! It's been a joy to have you and all of my askers around, honestly the time of my life. I'm ngl when I first made this blog I'd practically explode with happy stims for every ask I got lmaoo

I got inspired by an ISAT blog, actually. Isat/In Stars and Time is a video game I adore, and they have a bit of a joke of "isatlings" which are mini versions of the characters. Someone started an isatling husbandry blog, and I got inspired! I figured, since the beans were a very established thing in the fandom, acting like they're pets could be really clever while also giving me an excuse to indulge in my interests and infodump to my heart's content

@local-beanologist is run by a very close friend of mine! They saw me making this blog and got inspired, and decided to make a science-focused side since they already had a few concepts.

As for ocs: Frostbrand IS an oc, so go! Be free! Make as many as you want!!! I love seeing what this fandom creates, and it's even more amazing to be the one who inspired that. I'd love to see what anyone who enjoys this blog enough to make an oc comes up with! :]

Unlike my other sonas, this one is normally more tired and stressed to represent the other part of me where I'm just done with everything /pos

She is a mercenary that was born and raised in Blackrock. In an accident she lost she lost her arm, both legs, and half her face, but instead of retiring or something, Subspace had decided to turn her into half-Biograft (which is a part of herself she constantly hates).

Nilly's sona is Water Gun, a Playground Phighter. Their friendship existed for almost their whole life, including during the war, so it's mainly kept secret.

Surprise! Another post! This time it’s of who is which npc in the Elven Retreat/Phighting arc (except I didn’t draw the Fab fairies because I didn’t feel like it)

No one fit the Scaredy cat. I just made it Sling because Cat. He’s currently having a “wonderful” time as the only person in his house with an income since Shuriken can barely get himself out of bed and Icicle is like 10 (technically she’s 3 but Inphernal aging is weird and she’s just going to stay 10 for the next 7 years). Also once more he has beef with Banhammer. One-sided beef, Banhammer feels bad about something for once in his life/j

Struggled on the fan for Dom and just made it a Biograft. There actually was another Biograft who was the guard but uh they’re dead now. Boombox’s design is based on Eggsquarade and Rocket has his normal design

Subspace is dead so Pwnatious was the next best thing for the Green-eyed lady

Shuriken is going through it. His sister is dead, and the death was actually pretty recent. Like. Maybe a few months ago recent. He isn’t taking it well.

Icicle Cannon! Her living parent has been revealed and it’s Slingshot! She’s just a silly lil guy.

Anyway, now to say who the fab fairies are since I didn’t draw them

It’s Flipside + Sword!

Flipside are the older two and Sword is the younger. But there’s a little twist here…

The SFOTH (Except Firebrand, who is very dead) are involved

Basically Disasters fought every single SFOTH, Flipside were reporting on it and Disasters…

Basically took all of their Id’s. Since I don’t think the SFOTH are prepared for Hackers when. Literally none of them knew they were made of code. Especially when the hacker isn’t made of code and is also a god

This also was technically the first time anything outside the Inpherno that wasn’t brushed off as “normal” interacted with the Inpherno. I will not explain in this post.

Anyway Sword was watching the Broadcast and rushed out of the building he was in to go get Rocket and Banhammer.

Rocket didn’t come along for reasons (I just didn’t make him a party member) so Banhammer it is! Alongside this weird kid who looks vaguely like an inphernal but there’s something definitely off and later on Coil who they just kinda found behind an abandoned building on the outskirts of Playground doing the cyborg version of smoking weed

Anyway after getting almost all the SFOTH faces back (except Illumina and Venomshank) alongside Flipside Sword gets his own ID stolen alongside a bunch of other Inphernals and so the quest continues!

This may just be because I’m AroAce, but I… genuinely don’t see the appeal in most of the ships for this game?? This will mostly have Medkit ships because he gets shipped with everyone. I’m only giving a few examples, though.

SubKit is just two people who hate each other, have harmed each other to the point it caused permanent damage, and want each other dead (to the point of where one made it so his creations see the other as an enemy on sight). Sure, you all love “toxic yaoi”, but I think this seems a bit far. They pretty explicitly hate each other, to the point where I can’t see Enemies to Lovers working.

MedHammer? Ban’s job is to literally put people like Medkit in prison. They both have bigger problems. The two of them are also extremely rude to each other (I mean, they’re both rude to everyone.) (This ship is also partially ruined because of what the shipper are like. Dare I say, these two are the Sanmos of the Phighting community..)

MedBox? I don’t have much to say about this one other than Medkit is nothing but mean to Boombox, even though B.B tries so hard to be nice.

Swocket. This is probably where this will get called an L take, but… they’re just friends to me. My closest friends and I have the same dynamic as these two. Hell, my siblings and I have the same dynamic as they do. I don’t see how people can look at how these two act and be like “oh, they must love each other!”

HyperTana? Yes, yes, “old man yaoi” or whatever you call it. I just don’t see how these two could ever end up together. They have their own problems to deal with. Once again, this is one I can’t really complain about much.

SubStaff… this is my least favourite ship. Based off of dialogue, Vine just wants to help everyone, and Subspace does nothing but be rude when people don’t follow what he says and/or tells him what to do. In tons of the interactions these two have, Subspace snaps at Vinestaff when she wants to help or when she compliments him (in the case of the “That outfit is so cute!” dialogue).

On the other hand, I think Biograft and Vinestaff have a fun dynamic that more people should look at. I think Shuriken would also be fun with Biograft!
