The Results Are In! (Again)

Welp, we’ll get ‘em next time…

But congratulations Plushie Gang for the victory!

I suppose that goes to show that between fluff and absolute misery, the good times will win out in the end! …But much like most singularities, it was won by the skin of the teeth so to speak.

I watched the poll tie about three times and I was like: “woah, my option needs to square up or it’ll be a tie after I subtract one from the count and I’ll have to consult The People™ for their random numbers.” Thankfully I didn’t have to do that as Plushie Gang had their sweep. So that DOES make my life easier.

Now. As for the other options… God AU (working on the name) Gang, we’re going to have to wait a while before I can bring this out from the slightly formed outline I had into reality. We fought hard, but it just wasn’t our season. Same thing with Doppelgänger Gang. Now, as for the Major Plot Twist Gang… I’m honestly considering canning the idea since the more I thought about it I was like: “Man… how am I going to cram all that into a smaller headcanon format?!” Yeah… I think that one may have to die in the document… I’ll think on it more.

Speaking of thinking… This is my second L in the polls I’ve run. I’m two for two in losses but this time I didn’t have to break the tie myself by subtracting one vote! Maybe I should recalibrate my taste…

Anywho, thank you all for not only voting but the higher voter turnout as well! We obtained 11 more people this time which was probably due to the fact that we have significantly more variety this time around.

me venting about specific aspect of game designs. Also I choose violence towards a particular part of ‘elitist gamers’.

How to explain to game designers and gamers that making fun of people for picking the ‘easy mode’ for a video game, is fucking shitty and elitist as fuck.

Especially how they completely forget any fucking nuance of ‘hey maybe this person is playing a game in a genre that they are unfamiliar with and want to play on a easier difficultly setting for their first playthrough to familiarise themselves with the gameplay and its mechanics.’ Maybe they even want to experience a narrative FIRST, over say a frustrating time with the game, like are you seriously going to point and laugh at someone for wanting to experience something new?

Like dude I cannot stress how these kinds of elitist assholes are the same ones who ACTIVELY MAKE IT INTIMIDATING for people who WANT to get into a specific piece of media that intrigues them, and by extension YOU ARE SCARING AWAY A POTENTIAL FAN WHO COULD LEGITIMATELY VIBE WITH THE GAME AND ITS WIDER COMMUNITY FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS.

Like seriously how dare people want a new experience, so let’s ACTIVELY make fun of them for NOT ‘getting good’!! /sarcasm

not to sound like a redditor again but holy fuck it’s actually so annoying to be smarter than most people and it creates actual problems in my life. I have to be so careful about anything I say because even if it’s correct, people my level and above me will feel like I am making them look bad or challenging their authority so every fucking thing I say has to be this careful construction of explaining the same thing over and over again until I can finally lead them to the right answer so they don’t feel like I’m smarter than them.

Anyone wanna play fourth edition dnd with me? It’s kind of my pet dnd edition (5e is where I’m comfortable, 3.5 makes little sense to me; 4e is just kind of quirky and I actually like its system of powers). My own gaming group is pretty much only 5e which is fine but makes it hard to try out other systems (there’s a few who are big into Pathfinder 2e which I also like but have never played, but not enough who are interested in learning it to actually play).

This is only like 25% serious btw…unless?
