She can’t recall ever being this tired before.

With the conversation over, and Tille now seemingly more or less on their side and their little ragtag team safely on the ship, Wolfbell lets her eyes close. Even holding them open is too much of a struggle at this point. At least it seems like the chaos has passed, and Dolos doesn’t need to throw anything else at Tille.

Maybe that previously mentioned checkup would be a good idea. Or at very least, moving her somewhere that isn’t just the middle of the floor.

thinking about how in chapter four we really truly have a close trusted ally for, like… the first time.

in chapter one we have lancer, sure, but he’s understandably conflicted between us and the King. we have fun with him and he has fun with us, but when it boils down to it he’s just a kid who doesn’t want us to hurt his father and who possesses no real power to help us. in chapter two there’s noelle and berdly, but even if especially noelle wants to be on our side, there’s always the overhanging threat of Queen that makes it a rather… uneasy? allyship. it’s shaky, you don’t know how long it’ll last; it’s more like occasional solace. (speaking for the normal route here, obviously. snowgrave is Different ! ) in chapter three there’s not really much of anyone at all? most background characters support us over tenna, we make friends with side characters, ramb’s letting kris into the backrooms to do weird shit, but there’s no one really at our side.

and then in chapter 4, we have someone not only on our side, but someone actively supporting us—holding us up, being there for us when we need it most, mentoring us even. in the without question darkest chapter to date, we also have our strongest ally yet, and our in my eyes safest-feeling safe zone in the study (the green room and the areas near stores in ch 1&2 just… don’t compare).

Wow, turns out Ford won the Megatron VS Stanford poll by default. That was truly an epic battle, too bad it came to that. No shade to the Megatron side, Transformers is a respectable fandom with tons of content and I'm sure they had fun too, but I wanted to give my two cents here about some... complaints I saw circulating among Megatron fans.

While the alleged use of bots is unfortunate, I'm seeing some people saying that it's some sort of conspiracy by the GF fans (they must be the ones that used bots to discredit Megatron's vote and they're also finding it suspicious that we jumped so fast on the bot theory). Or that we also used bots to counter-attack.

Fair, people may have used alt accounts on both sides, that's usually the case in these polls (we know it's true even if no one would ever admit it), but it's not to the point that thousands of votes land on one side in a very short amount of time. Even the GF side had to earn it for the whole duration of the poll.

I don't think people realize how massive the GF fandom is especially since the publication of The Book of Bill. I've seen at least 2 posts on Tumblr with 5k and 4k notes respectively, and I didn't even actively search for every bit of propaganda that exists, inside or outside Tumblr. I did my part too and though I'm not that popular, I think my writing is decent enough to at least appeal to a few potential voters?

More importantly, I wouldn't really believe in the use of bots if I hadn't been a witness myself. The alleged second attack of bots happened during the night for those living in the United States I think, but I live in Europe and when it happened here, it was noon. I was taking my lunch and to pass time, I went to the poll to read the notes (yes, I'm obsessed by this silly poll), and that's when I saw the numbers change so drastically in only a few minutes. It was monday at noon (elsewhere, it would have been sunday night or monday afternoon). Not a time to vote at this scale. It was a pure coincidence, but once I noticed the spike in numbers I refreshed every minute and every minute, more than a dozen votes were added to Megatron's counter. I couldn't screenshot the numbers, but I know others did and that's why the mod decided to disqualify Megatron.

I wouldn't have minded to lose against such a well-loved icon of fandom, but I have to confess that this level of blatant fraud made me mad. I wouldn't have been bummed if we had lost anyway. I'm happy Ford passed, but it feels like a loss to me because the poll wasn't fair to begin with.

To honor this passionnante battle (I was so invested!), I'll continue to write about Stanford Filbrick Pines, my very pregnant future mother of twins!

"Edda?!" You have to blink, twice, because -- surely it can't be Edda? But no, it is -- it's unmistakably Edda, because you are someone who forgets names and where you meet someone but you do not simply forget faces.

And it is Edda, but -- "gods, are you alright?" She looks awful -- face pale and gaunt, eyes lifeless and empty. Her hair is limp, almost greasy, and it takes several moments for her to even look at you.

"Oh, K'pheli." She blinks at you again, slowly. "Are you well?"

". . . as well as I can be." You say, trying to keep your worry from bleeding into the shift of your ears or tail. Edda is clearly not well -- physical state aside, you remember her saying how she'd looked up to you and Mehka both, how she'd planned to return to her home village for more training, how she wanted to begin anew as an adventurer, but you have no idea how to connect that grieving-but-still-alive Edda with this Edda, who seems almost more a walking corpse. You cannot simply leave her be, like this. "What of you?" You ask, carefully, stepping to stand beside her. "Are you well? Have you aught you need to be doing, or aught I can assist with?"

"You. . . wish to help me?" Her voice is fragile, and it aches to see her like this. (You were never close with Edda -- you remember her canon role, and just how much grief tore at her, and you want her to never be broken like that but you don't know what to do.)

"Of course." You offer her a smile, and your arm. "Though -- forgive me for saying so, but you. . . seem a bit unwell. Are you ill?"

"No, no." She's got more life in her eyes, now, as she speaks to you. "It has just been. . . hard, without Avere. I am well, I assure you. I don't have any tasks, but you could keep me company?"

The following takes place after Tille’s checkup on Wolfbell.

She is back in the void.

Her ears twitch as annoyance starts to roll around in her stomach like boiling water. She can sense someone else in the void with her. Is it too much to ask to have one sleep where she isn’t being dragged into some void to talk to someone?

She shot up, ears pinned back, limbs shaky.

“Can I PLEASE sleep?” She challenges, just this one time she wants to sleep uninterrupted. No nightmares, no voids. Just. Sleep. PLEASE.

“Wolfbell…” she’s met with a familiar voice, and immediately guilt rushes over her when she realizes who she just snapped at.

“O..Odigos,” she mumbled, wings and tail lowering. “I’m sorry.. I shouldn’t have…”

“Hey, hey it’s okay,” he walked over, the paw he had lifted extended until they could gently clasp each other’s paws. "I .. I get it. It's been a rough last couple of hours trying to get anyone to pay attention to me.”

“Theoús.. I know how that feels,” Wolfbell gave a weak laugh. She looked at him, looked at his face, the scars across it. “Is.. that from…?”

“Got it in battle about a month ago, knocked my regular eyesight out for over a week!” He grimaced. “But.. I could still see like this.” He gestured around to them, the void. “Hey, what do you look like anyways? Or like, what colour is your fur?” He asked.

“Grey,” she answered. “And my skin is this .. dark greyish blue.”

“Huh!” He smiled a bit, coaxing her to sit down. He sat down himself. “Well, my skin is red. And my fur is bright orange.”

Wolfbell giggled a little bit imagining his fur being none other than bright ginger in colour, like a bush on fire. He grinned a bit at the giggle, squeezing her paw a little tighter. Maybe all he could see of her was some white outline, but he could feel her paw in his. The only other member of his kind he knew.

“…. Are.. are you alone, wherever you are?” He asked, and she shook her head a bit.

“No.. no I’m not. I have some friends.” She assured.

“Good.. good, I’m glad.” Odigos exhaled a tiny bit. “Tell me about them?”

She curls up as much as she can with her paw still in his.

“Well.. there’s Dolos. He’s got a really cool mechanical thingy… like, a big person made of metal.” Wolfbell’s tail tucked closer to her body.

“A mech, I think those are called. The rebellion has a couple.” Odigos laid back himself. “Must be very talented to make one of those.”

“Very. And there’s Fal, he’s a robot. It’s a bit weird because I can’t see him super well, but.. he’s nice and his clothing is so pretty. I don’t think he really likes being touched, I wonder if it’s like how I don’t really like it being super loud. Either way, his friend Snow, I just met her recently but.. she’s being so nice to me, when a lot of people usually aren’t.” Her eyelids are getting a bit heavy.

“And then there’s Anti… he’s.. I’m not sure what he is honestly. But what I do know is he’s very kind, and anxious like I am.. and it’s nice to know I’m not alone with that.” She can remember how he tried his hardest to make her feel better when she had that… episode. “And he makes cool rifts to other places.”

He listens, but she can tell he’s getting tired too. Well, really, both of them were so tired to begin with.

“And then there’s Dotty. They’re.. they’re my best friend. I don’t think I would’ve made it this far without them.”

“Sounds like you have some pretty good friends…” Odigos mumbled, his wing having draped over his face. Those orange orbs around him twinkle like little stars.

“Yeah..” she smiled a little bit, Odigos’s blue void fading more to black as her consciousness started to leave her. “I have some pretty good friends.”

the last part of this was finally completed thanks to @rolfe-dewolfe-fan-page reblogging my first fic post! ;)

As the Rock-afire sang of becoming an atom bomb, Rolfe trudged backstage, the metallic rainbow steamers of his stage fluttering.

"What ridiculous lyrics! We're not literally an explosion!" he muttered. "Or they're not. I, the superior Rolfe de Wolfe, will have no part in this!"

"I have an advertisement on the showtape, stupid!" Earl reminded him. "And if you can't get on the stage, neither can I!"

Rolfe groaned. "How can you even think of being in this cheap propaganda? I thought you knew better than this!"

"I do… but you don't! Besides, it ain't cheap, it's free! The Colander Gazette's gonna have a picture of you in it, you know."

A wave of haughtiness passed through Rolfe. He asked, "…It does? Me? Earl, tell me… did they get my good side?"

"Nah, they got your face!" Rolfe rolled his eyes while striding to the storage room, where a big poster board attached to a stick was waiting on a table. With a marker in one hand and Earl in the other, he wrote 'D', 'O'-

"Your sign's crooked, man." Earl pointed out.

"I thought you were a supporter!" Rolfe said.

"I am! I just don't want you to look even more stupid than you already do!"

Rolfe grumbled. He used Earl's head to rotate the poster board, causing the puppet to ask, "Hey, what are you doin' man?" and a fluffy of muffled protests. Once the board was straight, Rolfe finished writing.

"'Down with Colanders'," Earl read. "Shouldn't it be 'Down with Colander Night'?"

Rolfe scoffed. "I'm not redoing the sign. Honestly, can't they think of something better to do? Something like… like…"

The wolf was quiet for a solid half minute.

"Ha! You can't even top 'em!"

"Small Appliances Night!" Rolfe exclaimed with a snap of his claws. "Yes, everyone would go to Kmart and pick up a shiny, beautiful appliance to put on their head," He gave a cocky smile. "A much better idea than some colander."

"I ain't puttin' no dishwasher on my face."

"I said small appliance."

"Meh, it's all big to me."

"Like a… a…" Rolfe lowered his head to think. "Oh, like toasters and crock pots and Mix Master blenders! It's gonna be a national movement! The president will strap a toaster to his face! We'll have national ambassadors and it's gonna be incredible! Don't you see, Earl? We're gonna have history on our hands!" He frowned as he suddenly realized, "Hmm. Well, a mixer would be a little dangerous. And a mini fridge is even stupider than a colander! But I'm not going back on the crock pot!"

"And you thought you were the smart one."

Rolfe rolled his eyes. He held up his sign, picturing the guests at Showbiz heartily agreeing with him.

'Down with Colander Night, Down with Colander Night!'.

Then multiple people would say, 'Rolfe has the right idea.' 'Oh, of course he does. He always has the right idea.' 'Wait, who's Rolfe?'  'Only the coolest member of the band. He should take center stage and kick those other guys out on the curb!' 'Who need a colander when you could put a pot on your head? I'm allergic to spaghetti, anyways.'  'I'm gonna go to Kmart tomorrow and buy out all the pots they have. Then we'll all take part in Crock Pot Night!'

'Yay, Crock Pot Night!' everyone would cheer. 'Boo, Colander Night!'

'That wolf is such a genius for coming up with that. He should get a big, fat raise!'

My Thoughts on Poppy Playtime Chapter 3

Ollie is ADORABLE!!!! "No ouchies or lost body parts?" HE'S A BABY I NEED TO PROTECT!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!! (¬‿¬) I have ZERO evidence for this but my theory is he’s The Prototype.

I’m REALLY happy to see the phone Ollie calls the player on is identical to the one in Project: Playtime! It’s nice seeing stuff introduced in Project: Playtime finally appear in the main series.

( ⚆_⚆ ) ESPECIALLY DR. HARLEY SAWYER!!!! WOW THE TAPE FEATURING HIM TALKING TO THE PROTOTYPE WAS DARK!!!! I knew a man like Dr. Sawyer would be a sick and twisted individual since he created the Bigger Bodies Initiative.

Despite that I was NOT prepared to hear the joy in his voice to experiment on children. It was revolting.

This exchange:

Prototype: "You stick us. Beat us. Tear at flesh. Do you feel it?"

Dr. Sawyer: "There is a secret inside you, 1006. Valuable beyond all measure. I cut and prod and burn at it, and I get closer with each session . . . So speak, or don't. Fight, or give in. Regardless, I learn something new about you every day . . . (Laughs) It excites me!"

Prototype: "Thank you."

Dr. Sawyer: "You . . . thank me?"

Prototype: "Absolutely. I learn something new about you every day."

THAT FINAL LINE WHEN THE PROTOTYPE IS MIMICKING DR. SAWYER'S VOICE AHHHHHH!!!!

＿|￣|○ I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO DR. SAWYER SO BADDDDD!!!!!! He wasn’t around for The Hour of Joy but I hope he suffered.

Leith Pierre: "Normally I'd have Dr. Sawyer do this but he's uhhh . . . out, let's say. So you got me until they find his replacement."

(o ´ _ ` )o The contrast between how Dr. Sawyer speaks to the experiments VS Leith Pierre the Head of Innovation at Playtime Co.

Both dehumanize the experiments in different ways.

Leith Pierre can’t even bother remembering Catnap's real name. He puts on this fake friendly facade. Referring to Catnap as his Pal and Buddy. It's so disingenuous.

Especially when he asks, "Heya Theo! How ya doin' bud?" Pierre could care less about how Catnap feels. It's only when Catnap responds, "The Prototype will save us." That gets Pierre to finally drops the corporate spiel. Admitting to what this place is. Catnap’s prison.

No wonder Catnap worshipped The Prototype after being save when this is what he’s told about his horrific situation.

Leith Pierre: "THIS is your life now. Get used to it."

I absolutely LOVED all the new features for the Grab Pack. The air jet looked SO FUN!!!! Watching people desperately shoot the flare gun against smiling critters in a cramped space WAS SO INTENSE!!! The smiling critter's small growls and whimpers made me sad.

(ʃƪ 〃’▽’〃)♡ The horror in this chapter was INCREDIBLE!!!! While I had fun playing Chapter 2 I remember feeling disappointed by the scares.

CHAPTER THREE HAD ME HORRIFIED!!!! EVERY JUMP SCARE HAD ME FLYING OUT MY CHAIR, THE ATMOSPHERE WAS AMAZING AND AHHHHH THE HOME ORPHANAGE SECTION!!!!!

It reminded me of PT ∑(; °_°) Especially with the radio informing us that in Elliot Ludwig's house it was discovered he HAD THE BODY OF A CHILD IN A DUFFLE BAG!!?!?!?!?!?!

ALSO THAT ONE RADIO'S REVERSE MESSAGE!!!

"8-8-1995 I find your presence intrusive. After all this time you return. You come in here and yet you kill and murder. You pilate and destroy. Your presence was demanded 10 years ago and yet you didn't show up . . . 8-8-1995 You were supposed to be here. Why weren't you here? You missed the event. You missed the meeting. You missed the party. You have no right to be here . . ."

AHHHHHH MOBGAMES KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING WITH THE LIGHTING IN THIS SCENE!!!!!

I thought I was going to see MY BOY 😭💔!!!!!!

Huggy Wuggy is completely fine.

Kissy Missy was so sad and adorable in this chapter. Seeing her stare at the picture and hug herself BROKE MY HEART ( o̴̶̷᷄ _ o̴̶̷̥᷅ )!!! She deserves the world.

Catnap acting like a child and avoiding school 😭💔

Miss Delight was a minor spoiler I knew about since people used her face in their thumbnail. However I was NOT prepared for her to act like a Coil-Head!!!!

Theodore being described as antisocial and having a peculiar relationship with an imaginary friend _(:ì」∠)_.

That “imaginary” friend being The Prototype. Who guided Theodore to help them both escape. Only for Theodore to get electrocuted since he was just a child who didn't know how to safely use a Grabpack.

The Prototype throwing away their chance to escape to save Theodore by bringing him to the staff. Showing The Prototype does care in some way.

Only for Theodore to be later turned Catnap.

THEN the player electrocutes Catnap the SAME way Theodore originally received his injuries. The Prototype comes to “save” Theodore once again but this time by making Catnap a part of him AND CATNAP ACCEPTS SO WILLINGLY (˃ ⌑ ˂ഃ )!!!!

It felt like I was watching a religious experience.

I love Poppy Playtime but I do think they show too much in their trailers. Dog day is a great example but even then his scene was *chef kiss*

All the smiling critters crawling inside Dogday as he desperately screamed in agony and for us to run away left me speechless.

I liked the detail of Dogday calling us angel. I'm excited to see all the AUs people create where we save him.

ALSO THE HOUR OF JOY WAS A BLAST TO WATCH!!!!!

I know Poppy is right that it was just senseless slaughter. How all that death didn't fix or help anyone. Especially when it didn't matter if those killed were innocent or not.

However imagining these characters being painfully experimented on and stripped of their autonomy. Going though years of hell and finally reaching their breaking point. It's hard to not feel good for them getting to release that anger. Even if I know it's wrong.

When hallucinating Huggy Wuggy's face is on the employee training video:

“Join the Innovationists, where the bounds of science are continuously pushed. Or join the Counselors of Playcare, whose diligence and care for our children will help shape a brighter future, just you see.”

“Now every one of you has your part in that future, so should you come back tomorrow feeling unhappy for where you are, or what you’ve done . . . worry not, for your supervisor is here and happy to listen! And . . . should you come back . . . years later . . . your conscience finally getting the better of you. May you descend into the dark and the dust, finding all that awaits you are incomprehensible horrors . . . each hungry for your return, each eager that they might find you. Perhaps they’d smile at you from a shadow, their smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic, watching and waiting patiently for their turn at a warm welcome. The video transforms into a manifestation of the player's guilt. Not only for their involvement for whatever they did while working at Playtime Co. but for being gone and returning after ten years.

This is also paired with the player's possible guilt for killing Huggy Wuggy and their fear of him.

The hallucination version being a more exaggerated version of the Chapter 1 Huggy Wuggy vent chase.

When Catnap causes the player to later hallucinate:

Poppy: “Do you even know what’s real?”

Poppy: “No you don’t.”

THEN AT THE END OF THE HALLUCINATION IT SHOWS US THE DAY OF JOY!!!! Which is very odd when you consider two things. We've been told multiple times we weren’t there and during this scene we didn't know what the Hour of Joy was.

So the player hallucinating being in front of Huggy Wuggy’s podium during The Hour of Joy with a large Prototype hand reaching for us IS ODD!!!

ALSO THE TAPE IT SHOWS THAT’S WHERE HUGGY WUGGY WAS DURING THE HOUR OF JOY!!!!!!!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!?!

This is just speculation but perhaps the player's memories aren't as trustworthy as we think. After all we still aren't even sure who even sent us the letter or tape in Chapter 1.

It’s important to point out the characters from Chapter 2 made ZERO appearance during these hallucinations. Mommy Long Legs, PJ Pug-a-Pillar, Bunzo Bunny and the Wack-a-Wuggy.

Is the Huggy Wuggy imagery used because he’s who we encounter at the start of the game?

forced myself to finish this book even though by the last hundred pages or so all i was doing was picking apart the post-catholicism of it all. bc i feel like it's important to read shit you don't gel with . just because. even though the whole way through i was like they HAVE to prove it's not real. they HAVE to. so not the point of any of it but i was desperate for them to Find The Body etc. and of course instead they have mystical time travel experiences and all that because that is the kind of book the actual star is but i was desperate for them to realize that the star you see is the actual star. and then it wasn't
