I feel like people critique minecraft youtube/streaming communities for being predominantly white as if the creators are purposefully excluding people of color and not that we live in a world where content creation is a privilege that not many people of color can afford
#like i hate the argument that hermitcraft is bad bc theyre all white#like the ability to do content creation is a privilege#holds your hand#you understand this right#theres a reason most creators are white#bc they have an inherent socioeconomic advantage that allows them to dedicate time and energy to growing as creators#and also communities are more likely to support white creators over creators of color#ofc hermitcraft and the dsmp and the life series and everything else are full of white men#white men have the advantage of being able to find success in nonconventional means of profit making#like its probably more complicated than that#but i hate when people blame the hermits like theyve created systematic raciem#sincerely#a black person

These Are Not Micker Mouse: A breakdown of the Mangoball characters through the lens of Commedia Dell’Arte (by a dramaturg wannabe with too much time on their hands)
In the wake of the Dream SMP’s recent revival brought on by Dream’s latest and greatest tomfoolery, one of the most iconic, unifying, yet hitherto unknown figures of the fandom has finally made themselves known – Mangoball ( @girl-hemingway ), creator of the viral semi-eponymous SocMed AU that took the fandom by storm in 2021-2022. With its cartoonishly zany characters and hilarious one-liners, Mangoball quickly rose the ranks of popular DSMP fanfictions and remains to this day a pleasant, hilarious read that is enjoyable even if you hate the controversial content creators therein. Obligatory fuck the Dteam and Wilbur Soot. Anything good I say about their characters is a positive reflection of Mangoball’s talent and not the content creators themselves.
In this tumblr post, the author mentions Commedia Dell’arte (16-18th century Italian theatre) as a resource for writing crack fanfiction. That lit my theatre kid neurons up like Tubbo on October 16th, 2020 and so this essay was born. Enjoy my in-depth breakdown of the Mangoball characters through the lens of some of theatre’s most iconic archetypes. however im not a professional and im also not sober so if anything is wrong please just send a bomb to my house or somethingg
NOTE: While some characters or pairings are likened to specific archetypes, most of Mangoball’s characters are a mix of several.
GLI INNAMORATI - THE LOVERS
This one is obvious. No one in Mangoball’s Cheater Cheater (henceforth known as MB because I’m lazy) embodies the archetype of The Lovers more than its main pairing, Dreamnotfound.
In classic Commedia, the relationship between the Innamorati is the driving force of the entire story. They are often of high status and speak in flamboyant, flowery language; at times, they recite long poetry at length from memory and tend to sing quite often. Brought to foolishness by their hopeless infatuation for one another, the lovers often have no other personality traits besides being in love.
In MB, Dream and George are the hapless romantic leads fraught with drama and miscommunication that threatens to tear them apart. Their dialogue to and about each other borders on incomprehensibly romantic (e.g. goopsie skaboingy, boinky splurge, weeble wobble, skrunkly scribblydoinky bipsy tootsy badointy tiepnsy bip bop boppie goggiy dinty scruggly duggly big bampidointy dougly goopsie scaboinky pipupsy datootsit) and both characters associate themselves with poetry, song and dance, and other lofty forms of prose throughout the work (Dream singing the entire Mama Mia soundtrack after sleeping with George for the first time, reciting Romeo and Juliet sonnets to George despite having never read the play, George texting Quackity the La La Land script line by line by memory). They have little other personality besides the infatuation they hold for each other, but that doesn’t stop them from being enjoyable and hilarious leads that we as readers can’t help but root for.
VECCHI - THE VILLAINS
Though the Italian word Vecchi translates literally to ‘old men’, the Vecchi class of Commedia Dell’Arte characters serve as villains or opponents to the Innamorati. They are usually older characters that use their positions of power for selfish or immoral reasons. This doesn’t translate as clearly to MB as the Innamorati do, but that doesn’t mean that the story is free of Vecchi influences. Sapnap and Tommy are the story’s primary villains – Sapnap for his status as romantic rival to DNF; Tommy for his single-minded hatred of Dream that leads him to create increasingly popular Twitter spaces for the sole purpose of insulting him. Sapnap’s character is marked by his jealousy, his dishonesty, and the continued schemes he pulls to get between the main lovers. He is also the butt of several ratios and is generally regarded as a nuisance. Some of these traits are found in the Pantaleone character – although Sapnap does not possess the miserly money-hungriness that Pantaleone is known for. Anselmo is a lesser-known stock character characterized as a veccho-innamorati, or a romantic rival, but that is the extent of Sapnap’s relation to him. Il Dottore is also sometimes characterized as an adulterer, but like with Pantaleone, Sapnap lacks Dottore’s iconic traits (in his case, being a parody of the educated elite who regularly talks confidently about stuff he knows nothing about and bores the other characters offstage.)
I don’t think any Commedia character possesses such intense hatred for another character as Tommy does for Dream. He’s less of a Vecchi and moreso of a complete foil to the Innamorati – a total and utter hater, largely a flat character beyond his negative feelings for his former Compsci tutor. An Innaodio? That kid will stop at nothing to destroy Dream. I don’t think it’s even explained why Tommy hates him so much beyond his annoyance for Dream’s affections for George.
Honestly, maybe that’s enough to warrant some hatred.
ZANNI — THE ROOMMATES
Karl, Quackity, Corpse, Wilbur, and the elusive Badboyhalo are all part of the Zanni class of Commedia characters. The Zanni characters are traditionally the low-class servants of the higher-status Vecchi or Innamorati. Usually found in pairs, they are often separated into the silly and buffoonish and then into the cunning, quarrelsome, and conniving. In Mangoball, they’re the roommates/sidekicks of our main leads… apart from Badboyhalo. We’ll get back to him.
Karl and Quackity are George’s roommates; Corpse is Dream’s. Corpse is a somewhat judgemental watcher of Dream’s antics, not afraid to stir up drama or join Tommy’s hateful lives, and yet remains supportive of him overall. He is also the subject of Wilbur's odd romantic advances. Quackity regularly acts like he wants to actually kill himself over George’s romantic endeavours and regularly threatens the trio with violence or piss-related crimes (e.g. okay but im peeing on the couch!). Karl, as arguably the most rational character of the entire work, is often kinder to George than Quackity is, though his normalcy often leads to him being ridiculed (e.g. the entire group unanimously agreeing that he is the craziest among them for doing such things as eating an orange). Quackity and Karl are also the only ones to break the fourth wall and call out the story for its texting-only medium. In all honesty, they’re too smart (and not horny enough) to fit most of the Zanni archetypes. I would consider them the straight men of the work. Most of their comedy comes from their reactions to what’s going on around them.
Nothing sums up their characters more than this iconic bit:

SPECIAL MENTIONS - WILBUR
The Arlecchino, or Harlequin, archetype is the base for most fool/clown characters that have risen to prominence over the course of history and is a comedic bastion in any Commedia production. Colourful and acrobatic, Arlecchino oscillates between legendary dim-wittedness and a single-minded dedication to achieving his goals. He is often abused by smarter characters, easily distracted by lust and food, and will foray into the complicated, the absurd, and the illegal to get what he wants without a second thought. While what usually sets Arlecchino apart from other Commedia archetypes is his acrobatic prowess, that doesn’t exactly translate well into written prose.
Mangoball’s Wilbur is a proven criminal, a buffoon, and also implied to be a literal alien. While hardly tolerated by the rest of the crew, he's also responsible for several of Mangoball’s iconic lines. His character is always one step behind the joke (e.g. ‘These are not micker mouse?’ – his inability to understand well-known Disney characters, which he blames on being British) and, at random intervals, acts romantically or sexually towards Corpse without any prompting. His advances go largely rejected or ignored. The other crew members frequently bully him for his antics (e.g. them letting him starve for 20 hours during the road trip) and yet make use of his complete disregard for the law when is beneficial for the plot (e.g. him breaking into a Miami villa and loaning it to two groups simultaneously without realizing). Overall, Mangoball’s Wilbur is integral to highlighting the comedic contrast between the more rational characters and the insane situations they find themselves in. He proves himself as a driving comedic force with the final tweet of the original work.

SPECIAL MENTIONS - BADBOYHALO
fuck if i know genuinely. no one in the history of ever is doing it like him im beign so serious what the ffuck is wrong with him geniunely

i have so many thoughts about the tommy song/video and theyre a jumbled mess. i wouldnt call this an analysis this is just. most of my thoughts surrounding the video and what it shows about tommy
one of the things that stuck out to me (outside of how depressing and just like. is this guy okay) is something that ive always respected tommy for because he's always stuck with it and its his like. fervent conviction in people doing things theyre passionate about. thats always been one of the things he talks about all the time!!!
when AI started appearing he was talking about death of creativity, with the internet he's always talking about how the real tragedy is the algorithm killing people's passion by driving them with views and money, and even when he talks about youtube itself, and nowadays standup, its so full of passion.
and i think thats really important because it would be extremely easy for someone like tommy, who's in the process of maturing his online image from a very loud, immature and PASSIONATE persona, to make fun of it. it would be so easy to do like so many other creators and laugh at how "cringe" it was and make a quick cash/attention grab with a funny clip of him laughing at himself. but he never has. well don't get me wrong he's laughed at himself or old videos but it's always just. good natured taking the piss out of himself, it's never this like. mocking your younger self who was so excited to do what they did only because now its "cringe".
not only is he constantly giving that advice to other people (its been years of him replying, to any kid in his chat or donations asking advice on how to be a creator etc, "just go and do it if you love it!!"), he's coherent with how he applies it to himself. he realised he was making cash grab tiktok react vids and hated it so much he just stopped uploading for a while.
i dont know i just think there's something admirable about being able to still be sincere in a time where everything especially online has to be processed through a layer of irony. and its even funnier because he's more sincere THROUGH the irony i mean he's literally going into standup.
letting yourself create something that "means" something is fucking hard especially when half the internet still sees you as a kid who screams around. except the thing is that kid DID make stuff that mattered and that meant something because he was, in his own words, having fun.
i think thats what the format of the video was about too. i mean i think it was pretty clearly not a song thats meant to be streamed, its not purely music, its also a video because tommy is also first and foremost an editor who went to film college. its also not a "comedy" song like he's made some before, because those were all intentionally created to land as many jokes and make a big buzz— which doesnt mean they were bad! im philza is a contemporary lyrical masterpiece. but they had a specific purpose and it was to make people laugh and i think this video was completely like. opposite of what peoples expectations are of tommy. the "wow hes not a child anymore hes being mature🤓" reactions are the most obvious aspect of this (which, like, its been a while, get with the program).
i think the point of this was to make something that genuinely meant something but that was also like. as unpalatable to the algorithm and to the TommyInnit Viewer as possible. even now that he's gone into making quieter, more reflective videos, we've never had the flashing texts and the projector images and just all of that. hes always talking about how he hates the way the "youtube formula" has dictated the course of content and stolen all creativity for youtubers. its not meant to be a YouTube Video tm. its just meant to mean something to someone, and obviously process some sort of personal emotions, and i just think thats. yeah. yeah
i mean he even says so outright. "this needless, self indulgent spiral of self gratification" is pretty damn explicit. its not meant to be funny content its really a cry for help or for just. anything at all really
it was also a lot about perception, yknow the "entertainer" dilemma, "its all attention porn"... theres a layer of this point thats universal, everyone struggles with how they're perceived and i think any "artist" or "entertainer" figure can see themselves in it, but there's also a layer thats completely impermeable to most of us because it touches upon the sheer absurdity of a "youtuber". especially one of tommy's popularity. especially one who blew up so so fast so young. i honestly think its IMPOSSIBLE to process that. its about the ethics of having millions of people's time so readily available to you if you just press the right buttons to make the algorithm happy and then you've got them. im like 75% sure i remember him saying this on stream once, something like "your time is valuable" and if a fan didnt value him as an entertainer they should drop him.
and even here^ thats the saddest "lmao" ive seen in my life SORRY LOL but its really just. yeah im not gonna repeat myself it speaks for itself. perception and internet expectations and all that
one of the other images that stuck out to me was also this:
"yeah i know its too much like bo burnham but it wont be in a year though. in a year it will be like tom simons. just let me figure out what that means, ok?"
a lot of the video is about. influences and inspirations. the bo burnham references are so obvious he's poking at them, but i think he's raising a good point about the creativity that he's constantly praising. its never something that springs up on its own, its all about looking at others work and making it your own and feeding yourself with all those experiences and slowly, surely building your own way of doing things (tommyinnit "minecraft talent show" and "a tribute to dream smp" serial quackity + schlatt impersonator would know all about that) ->
and its daunting! its fucking scary to move away from that! which is also the main vibe i got from the video which, outside of his own issues with how he's perceived online, was the sort of existential dread that comes with actually creating. its one thing to preach you need to be passionate and create, its another to sit down and create something thats BY you. its a part of growing up! and we're literally seeing him do it live (well the bits that he chooses to show obviously)! thats also part of why i think tommy's so relatable to so many people is that he's so like. honest and real about what it's like to grow up, simple as that, and growing into yourself.
"this was everything to me" and using the picture of his younger self... man. theres obviously so much sadness underlying the whole thing but i think the nostalgia and melancholy in mourning being someone who was only inspired/excited by your interests and role models is universal. and obviously for tommy a lot of those influences turned out. well i think it was pretty damn clear who/what he was referring to here. ->
i don't think i need to go too in detail about that, especially cause a lot of the video was clearly a way to process his own personal emotions. especially with those next few images. i just hope he's okay and that god doubles his pain and gives it to mr beast to quote my friend bronzetomatoes. man.
of course he had to end with a funny clip about a hot anime girl and i think that kinda. sums it all up in a way. if that makes sense. at the end of the day its about the fact that he has to use humour to make the thing work when its out in the open, even when he tries not to and to be actually honest, but theres also the fact that hes literally a comedian and creating something "honest" IS through humor. its kindof a double edged sword
right well that was my jumbled mess of psychoanalysing tommyinnit i hope he is alright and all that because well that was. something

Like a lot of other authors/content creators in the HP fandom, I am feeling a sense of heaviness over the rulings that happened in the UK and feel the need to speak on my (albeit very complicated) feelings.
What JKR is doing is terrible. It will ruin lives. It will end lives.
If you feel like that is being hyperbolic, please go look up the suicide rates for the trans community. It's a staggering number and it only grows as people seeking information, comfort, and support are locked out of proper resources due to heinous legislations like the one passed yesterday.
It saddens me too because I know that so many in the LGBTIQA+ have found characters/stories in the HP universe that have spoken to them and helped to understand their personal journeys---only to have that comfort ripped away by the very person who created them.
If you can permit me to be personal for a second: My brother is trans and before/during his transition (this was early 2010s) he always cited Remus Lupin as one of the foundations for coming to terms with his trans identity because he saw some of his own internal struggle in Lupin's character. He even went so far as to write a letter to JKR (which, thank GOD he never sent...) thanking her for creating a character that aided him with the complicated feelings he had when there were no other resources for him.
My brother is now a psychologist specializing in the young trans community and speaking to him recently, he has said that he comes across this same story constantly and each one ends in tragedy because that little piece of solace and comfort was not just taken from them, but told them that no, actually. You thought wrong to see yourself in this character. You don't matter.
Watching what happened yesterday and knowing the long history of bigotry JKR has spouted for years now weighs heavy on my heart every time I step into this fandom and often I question if I should still contribute to it. I know it's not much, but I would like to share some of the things that keep me going--even when it all looks really fucking bleak:
Fanfiction and fanart are, at their foundation, anticapitalist works--and can be used to fight JKR's agenda. By consuming fanfic/fanart zero money goes towards JKR. None. And further, JKR has no say in how you use her characters in these spaces. So, if you want to use these creative outlets to uplift trans voices, please do! Support trans writers/artists and urge them to PERSIST--because I promise you nothing is going to tick off the ole' bitch more than trans bodies/ trans supporters writing her characters.
Just because the writer is the devil, doesn't mean the art has to be. I won't go into the concept of "death of the author" because I think it can be pockmarked to hell with various examples, but what I DO subscribe to is that once the art is out in the world, it is now owned by the person who consumes it. To put it simply: when I read HP I am POSITIVE I imagine characters/settings differently than the person next to me. It's the beauty of the imagination: the creator can give us the blocks but how it is built is contingent on how WE perceive it.
Did I mention money? DON'T GIVE IT TO HER. Buy the books/movies second hand. Pirate the media you wish to consume around the fandom. Don't give her any reason to give any more hate funding and instead send that money to trans communities and groups who need it (they REALLY need it.)
Maybe I'm naive to say this, but I don't think interacting with the story as an art form is bad. She invented it, sure, but she isn't in charge of what goes on in my brain. If anything, this fandom NEEDS the trans community and supporters within it because not only can they push back, but they can educate those who otherwise are listening to the author. Don't let her win the space even though she's the author. It's no longer hers to have.
If you are someone who wants to leave the fandom because you can't bear to watch her continue to destroy it--I completely understand. But, as someone who has been in this fandom for over 20 years, the one thing I've learned is: besides monetarily she doesn't own shit. Don't let her take what you love from you and don't let her get away with scaring people out of their community spaces. Support and love our trans brothers and sisters and enjoy your HP despite it all. The things you love are worth fighting for.

Hi, guys! Let's talk about fandom etiquette!
👨🏫👨🏫👨🏫
I know a lot of you are young and perhaps have not been part of fandom spaces since the dawn of time (circa fanfiction.net) so let's talk about some dos and don'ts with fandom, so we can keep this a happy place! Please read this and reblog to get this out to people who genuinely may not know!
📕DON'T: Write reviews of fics on Tumblr, Tiktok, or other social media. Fic writers are creating these things for FREE, and did not ask you to review. This often leads to negative discourse and can even cause fic writers to take down their fics. 📗DO: Leave kudos and ONLY POSITIVE comments. Talk about only positive things on social media. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!
Edited to add: YES, EVEN CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISCISM. If the author didn't ask for it, don't give it. Some may appreciate it, but others won't. At the very least, ask permission first.
📕DON'T: Post fic ideas or headcanons on AO3. AO3 is for posting actual fanfiction or fanart and nothing else. (What I mean by this is, I've seen posts on ao3 like "Just posting an idea that someone should write, here it is!" and that's not what ao3 is for). Edited to add: You can also post original works and nonfiction works based on fandom on ao3! 📗DO: Post headcanons and ideas on Tumblr, Tiktok, etc!
Edited to change: Okay, so I feel like there's some arguments over like...what qualifies as metafic versus something that shouldn't be on AO3? So from my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong), people DEFINITELY should not be posting just a title with no work attached, which I have seen a lot lately, nor should they be posting to search for someone else's fic. However, it seems like lists, and similar metafic are okay, as well as original content, and nonfiction.
📕DON'T: Repost entire fanfictions without permission or sell bound fanfiction. Again, this causes writers to take their fics down, and can actually cause issues with fandom because it can cause allegations of copyright infringement. 📗DO: Recommend fics you like to others by talking them up and posting links! Ask permission before you translate!
📕DON'T: Send hate to authors for writing a fic in a way you don't like or not updating enough. Again, authors are doing this for free and sending hate causes serious mental harm to authors because they are people! If you don't like it, don't read it! 📗DO: Send love to authors in forms that they are comfortable with!
📕DON'T: Shame others for their ships/fics/kinks. Fandom is supposed to be a supportive space! Judging people is taking away that safe space! 📗DO: Use the block button! Block or filter out things or people you don't like!
📕DON'T: Use AI to create art or fics. This is detrimental to the creators who work hard to create their work! 📗DO: Try making your own art or fics! Practice makes perfect!
These are just a few of the things that I've seen happening more lately, but keep in mind that if you don't like something, you don't have to interact with it and fanart and fanfiction creators are people who are doing this for free. Please make sure to respect the hard work people put in, or fandom can't exist!
(Feel free to discuss/add things as long as you're being respectful!)

Running out of time.
jude bellingham x fem!reader
When two people who didn't know how to love met at the perfect timing to ruin each other.
part 2 | part 3
wc: 2.3k
(content warning: angst, troubled relationships, situationship)
“I can't do this anymore.”
The words escaped her lips before even she could fully process them. It was almost a whisper — a sign of utter defeat, of how much she had struggled and how much she could not take another second of being with him. There was no amount of affection that could mend what the situation had done to her, no amount of luck that could change their fate and, most definitely, no amount of effort he could have shown at that moment that would make her change her mind. It was too late for anything.
If he had listened to her attempts of communication, if he did not dismiss her feelings, if he took her more seriously… A series of ifs that only involved things he could have done.
She had tried to stay with him as long as she could, even if she felt, from the start, that she was doomed from the second her heart beat a little faster at the thought of him. After all, who would hate themselves enough to fall for Jude Bellingham, knowing his reputation, knowing the amount of women he had around on their knees, knowing him?
She thought she knew him, she really did. At least, better than others. They had met at a strange moment in their lives, where a relationship would never fit. That was never what they wanted.
Jude had recently gotten out of a relationship, whereas she was avoiding any sort of relationship for more than a year. Each one had their motivations, and one thing was clear: no relationship was a rule.
So, she didn’t mean to when she realized she was falling for him. In fact, it was nerve-wrecking — constantly beating herself up and trying to smack some sense into her own head; anything that would bring her back to reality. And like that, without knowing her feelings were reciprocated, she created a distance between them, leaving room only for her anxiety.
As her sorrow eyes met his desperate ones, she remembered. Flashes of how they ended up like that flooding into her head without her permission.
“So,” Jude said once. They were at her place — something they used to do quite often. He didn’t like bringing attention to himself and he wasn’t one to take any woman to his place, considering how the press could be if someone saw.
She didn’t know much about Jude. All she knew was that he was a good kisser, a nice company and someone that would provide her aftercare. She couldn’t ask for much more than that.
But one thing she did know — he was confident. Not that she wasn’t, but he was cocky. And, judging by the way he nervously held his thumb, she knew something wasn’t right.
“So?” She asked, tilting her head, looking at him gently.
“I—” he gulped and let out a nervous chuckle. “Look, don’t get me wrong. I know we said it was only a casual thing, but I’ve always been a man that liked, you know, talking to more than one woman.”
She nodded, furrowing her eyebrows, trying to predict what he was going to say.
“What I want to say is—” he took a deep breath. “I don’t feel like talking to any other woman but you. I haven’t, actually, since this whole arrangement started. I know it’s only been a month, but—”
She laughed and he raised her eyebrows. She held his hand with an affection she hadn’t shown yet.
“Jude, it’s okay. I haven’t been with anyone else or even did as much as looking at anyone else ever since I’ve been with you,” she reassured him.
“Thank God.” He sighed happily, relieved.
The first and only rule was already broken.
“I can’t do this, you know. Can’t have a relationship. It’s not your fault, I just can’t do this sort of commitment at this point of my life.” Jude said while looking at her. She didn’t know where that came from.
They were peacefully taking a walk on a park close to her place. The cold breeze and the way his words somehow felt like a dagger made her shiver and cross her arms, not looking at him.
“I’ve never—” she tried to say. “We were never—”
What could she say? That they were nothing? That wasn’t the truth.
“I’ve never asked a relationship from you. I don’t even— want a relationship. We had talked about that since the beginning,” she said, furrowing her eyebrows. Did she do something that made him think otherwise?
“Let’s be honest with each other for a second.” He said and stopped her, turning her around to look at him “This whole thing is running out of our control. I can’t do this. There’s no way I can have a serious relationship, one with actual commitment. I need to stop this before it gets to a point that I’ll hurt you.”
She swallowed. Despite her best efforts to hide how that hurt, maybe she was giving it away.
She didn’t want a relationship. They were in the same page.
But she was never the one to insist. Never the one to run after someone. In fact, her entire life, all she did was running away.
That’s all she knew how to do.
So, she just accepted it.
She sighed when she heard the knock on her door, her face twisted with annoyance. For some reason, Jude decided he wanted to see her and asked her to dress up nicely — something he knew she always did, but maybe he just wanted her to create some expectation and, perhaps, not dislike him as much as she was disliking him at that moment.
When she opened the door, he was standing there with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and in a perfect tuxedo. She would’ve sighed, if it wasn’t for the last conversation they had.
“You think you can buy me flowers and what? Problem solved?” She asked, not bothering to hide how much his presence maddened her.
“No. I know you better than that,” Jude said carefully, knowing he had to think well before speaking if he wanted to still be in her life. “But I can still buy you flowers, right? I know you like peonies. And I also like to think that’s a decent way to greet a woman you’d like to take on a date.”
She scoffed and rolled her eyes.
“On a date?” She asked in disbelief. “I thought dates were too couple-ish for you.” She mocked him.
He sighed deeply.
“I was wrong, alright?” He said and run a hand through his hair. “Well, not that wrong. The situation is getting out of hand and we’re breaking every rule we made up, but you’re right, this isn’t like I’m dating you. Still, I’d love to have you on my life and for things to be… the way they were before I fucked up.”
She sighed, crossing her arms.
“My ex showed up that day and I just got nervous; I think.” He looked down. “I had never liked someone this fast, you know? I don’t know how it happened to us. But when she showed up, everything I was afraid of suddenly came back and I just— almost ruined us. Whatever this is.” He looked at her. “But you're not her, and I like you so, so fucking much. Can I, please, have the honor of a second chance?”
“It’s the only one you’re having.” She said as she grabbed the bouquet. “Nice choice of flowers.”
He opened the sweetest, most genuine smile.
“Things are so much easier when I’m with you. I wish it was always like this. That I could take you everywhere,” Jude said.
They were stargazing in her backyard, laying on the soft grass. His head was on her chest as she caressed his hair. They didn’t need to look at each other and he didn’t need to see her eyes to know how she felt — he could hear her heartbeat. It was more than enough.
He was going through a rough patch; she knew that much. And she didn’t know how to fix it, how to help him — it was out of her reach to do such a thing and he would hate if she even tried. His pride always took a tool on him, used to suffering in silence.
“I know.” She sighed softly. “I like being with you, if that helps. You’re my favorite person to talk to.”
“I hope I am,” he chuckled softly. “That’s why we’re sort of together, right?”
“Right,” she nodded. Things seemed so easier and intimate when they were like that. She felt his soft locks against her fingers and sighed once again. “But only sort of together.” She teased him.
“You’re annoying,” he joked.
“Touché.”
“Why are you so mad at me?!” Bellingham exclaimed, trying to run after her as she made her way out of the nightclub. He tried to reach for her arm and called out her name. “Stop, please.”
She stopped. Why was she still agreeing with anything he told her to do, anyway? Even when she couldn’t think straight, even when she was tipsy from all the alcohol she had consumed. Since when he became such a strong influence in her life that she would just submit to what he said? Why didn’t she leave?
Why didn’t she run away?
She was so good at that.
“I just—” She looked up, trying to find a way to put her words together and make it make sense. “I hate seeing you surrounded by so many women. And it’s so clear how much you enjoy the attention.”
“I don’t—”
“You literally left me standing to go talk to whoever that woman was.”
“You’re exaggerating and you don’t want to listen to me. Why don’t you just breathe for one second?” He asked her. “Look, I might enjoy the attention, but I wouldn’t leave you standing anywhere. I told you, when this whole thing started, that you’d never have to worry about me hitting on someone in front of you.”
And, to her, it felt like they had taken every step back. He didn’t mean for his words to come out like that, really. He knew what she had gone through in her relationships and how much anxiety she could feel from liking someone. He wanted to reassure her and was managing to do the opposite.
“Yeah, the same way we told each other this would be nothing serious,” she scoffed. “And it really seemed like you were flirting with her. How come when it’s with me, I have to chill and take a deep breathe, but when you’re feeling like that, I have to keep explaining myself?”
He opened up his mouth, but no words left. She knew he’d say she was making a fuss over nothing.
“Good night, Bellingham,” she said before leaving the club, not bothering to look back.
That same day, thousands of pictures of him in the club came out. He wasn’t doing anything, but her heart broke a little bit more from how many women surrounded him.
He didn’t bother to explain.
In fact, he had ignored her for two weeks.
That’s how they ended up here.
“You’re joking, right?” Jude asked, though he knew her enough to know if she was bluffing or not. “I just told you all my problems and— that I need a break from us. I need to focus on other aspects of my life, I can’t afford the luxury of having space for anything romantic.”
She laughed dryly.
“And what am I supposed to do, huh? Shove my feelings right up my ass just because you want me to wait for you? Or even worse, be your friend?” She didn’t mean to sound that aggressive, but the two weeks of no contact were more than enough for her anxiety to overcome every good memory they had and replace them with thoughts that he didn’t even really care.
“I’m not asking to be your friend! Jesus, you’re so complicated!” Jude exclaimed.
“I'm not complicated!” She argued back. “I’m just tired of having to put your feelings on top of mine, of prioritizing you instead of myself. I know where this ends and I won’t submit myself to this. Not to this, not to you, not with you.”
“Please,” he sounded desperate. Pathetically desperate. He held her arm. “Don’t do this to me. Wait for me. I will come back, I swear to God.”
“And put my life on hold because you want me to?” She asked, looking up at him, showing how hurt she was by the whole situation.
“What if I’m losing the love of my life over something I cannot control?” He asked her in a whisper, his brown eyes meeting hers.
It was his last attempt, that was for sure. But he forgot just how good she was at walking away. Maybe it was her fault for always finding some excuse for his attitudes or even for forgiving him, in first place. Maybe she should've walked away when she realized she was catching feelings. Maybe she shouldn’t have allowed him a second chance.
A series of maybes that only involved things she could have done.
But one thing was for sure: she wasn’t going to break herself over anyone ever again. Despite how much she liked him, despite the part of her that was willing to wait — she had been through too much to do that to herself again. She didn’t know if it was worth it, not anymore.
“I’m not the love of your life, Jude.” She said and did what she was the best at: walking away.

SYNOPSIS. Being a well known influencer those days can be kind of dangerous, one sentence out of context and you got cancelled, a thing that wasn’t bothering lee heeseung, a streamer and youtuber with more that one million followers. Sadly, his situation get even worse when he tried to shit talk about you — a well known writer and loved person on internet — and he start to wonder if he actually did the good choice when talking about your upcoming book on his last video. And the worst was the spam of message you got from him in the evening, trying to make it up for his harsh words about your work — or mostly you.

Probably (I’m not 100% sure rn), so i’ll give a try with this short teaser/intro in hope that it would interest some of you ! don’t forget that you can comment below (I would appreciate it !💋)
MASTERLIST | NEXT >>
Heeseung himself couldn't say what had strangely driven the popularity of his YouTube channel or his livestreams, which were increasingly being watched by an unimaginable number of people. In truth, platforms like YouTube and Twitch were so complex that making a place among the biggest on these two platforms sometimes had something to do with a miracle.
For Heeseung, all this was understood while he himself was completely incomprehensible, his first name quickly finding itself trending as more and more people started tweeting about him — or about his latest livestreams.
At first, he simply thought it was because he had miraculously managed to attract the attention of young women — and a few men — with his charisma and his angelic, captivating face — not that he was narcissistic about himself, but that was one of the hypotheses that crossed his mind one evening.
All of this finally came crashing down when he realized that his so-called "popularity" was due to a clip from one of his recent livestreams, where he unfortunately got the idea to talk about another content creator and streamer — whom he could totally consider a colleague, given their shared personal interests or the numerous comments they had during each stream. Indeed, while Heeseung was a genuinely interesting person to listen to during his "what's up in hee's life" livestreams, where he mostly talked about the stream and interacted with his viewers, he sometimes tended to overlook his words — which were mostly simply insults or comments that a well-known and influential person shouldn't be saying.
The victim of this stream was @sunghoonshouse. Heeseung found himself making hateful comments toward Sunghoon — his real name — after noticing that his chat kept mentioning him or making allusions about him. In just one search and a quick glance at his channel, Heeseung had made comments he would normally never have made.
How had he reacted when he noticed that his first name or that clip of him was constantly circulating on Twitter or any other app? He had laughed when he read people spitting at him in the comments. After all, despite his comments about his work "colleague," Heeseung had noticed how his first name was plastered everywhere, thus unwittingly creating immense publicity for him, which he would undoubtedly take advantage of.
The idea of being canceled by his new — and in truth, first — haters didn't bother him at all. He would simply need to make a quick message in his next stream, or yes, instead of addressing his community or anyone watching him live, he would address Sunghoon directly, then apologize for his words, which had "gone beyond his thought and reflection" — explaining that he had supposedly spoken without thinking and that he hadn't meant them.
The days following his apology had been nothing but magnificent proof that, despite his apologies, Heeseung would not stop acting without thinking and saying whatever came to mind, even if it was only negative and completely hateful remarks, whether it was about a public figure, viewers of his own streams — who had supposedly annoyed him at the right time — or even topics that weren't as important.
Having realized that each thing he could say would earn him a little more popularity each time, Heeseung had strangely started to create a routine for himself. Creating a situation or saying things that could or would be intended to provoke a reaction, noting the clips in question being shared on social media as if they were THE last thing anyone needed to know about — which tended to bring a lot of people back to his streams in the following days — and once everything had settled down, making a video or dedicating a portion of his future stream to an apology message, explaining that, once again, he had indeed gone too far and that his words had gone beyond his thoughts.
Was this really the right thing to do?
Was this really the right thing to do? Absolutely not. Was it an effective way to gain popularity? In a way. Were the reactions and the number of haters that would make him do it? Certainly not. Did he have the minimum of respect to stop acting this way? Yes and no at the same time.
Being a child in a child's body, it wasn't surprising for Heeseung to apologize for such a serious remark, and then start over the following days as if nothing had happened the previous days.
Was he forgiven? Strangely, and although it may seem completely unthinkable, yes. Most of his followers followed him simply because they appreciated this side of Heeseung. Or was it simply because he was too handsome to leave the world of YouTube or the Twitch platform. And quickly, after a few months Heeseung had exceeded millions of followers, whether on YouTube or Twitch, and was no longer a YouTuber and Steamer video gamer, but was considered a content creator "shitposter", that is to say that he published what he wanted regardless of the impact of his videos.
The funniest thing about his rapid rise to popularity on his platforms was that Sunghoon — the content creator Heeseung had openly criticized — had become one of his close friends, with whom he occasionally streamed or organized videos, but he was also his roommate. This meant that Heeseung and Sunghoon's communities must have seen the friendship gradually develop, which certainly caused some reactions.
What did you think of this famous Heeseung? He didn't bother you much; in truth, you didn't know much about him beyond the numerous clips you saw circulating on Twitter that showed what kind of person he was. A hypocrite who used hatred towards others or almost homophobic or misogynistic remarks to draw attention to himself.
A true thoughtless jerk. That's what could have best represented him from your point of view, even if you'd never actually watched a single one of his streams or videos. Truth be told, the entertainment you saw on Twitter every weekend kept you busy enough that you didn't intend to watch even a single one of his streams in the future.
And even if one day the idea did come to mind, you didn't have the time. Unfortunately, books don't write themselves — at least not since you'd started writing, much to your dismay — and so you spent most of your time writing, editing, and rewriting sections of your future novel.
Well... that was before you received a message from one of your best friends — Taehyun — who strangely begged you to start Heeseung's current livestream because, according to him, you needed to hear his words right now, not after you'd gone to bed.
Quickly, you left your writing file to log into Twitch, and despite yourself, you had to click on Heeseung's channel to see that he was indeed streaming.
The next click left you frozen, staring at your screen as your lips parted, unable to believe what he was currently saying. The fact that your name had left his lips was practically unimaginable, but what followed had made you furious.
"An unsuccessful author who only wrote about depression and high school romances. Seriously, who would read such crap? I think you, like me, don't have time to waste reading books like this and would rather, for example, devote our time to the latest F1 race that was announced."
How could a man like him — a loser who locks himself in his room to chat in front of a camera — have the audacity to talk about you, and your upcoming book? You couldn't even believe how stupid he'd talked about you, describing you as a shitty author who only wrote about depression? This was a joke you were playing; it couldn't be explained any other way. Never, ever had you felt so humiliated and smeared as you did right now, when you weren't even in the same room as this idiot who was playing it.

Alright y’all it’s time we have a discussion.
As a content creator who has been on Slytherin Boys tumblr for well over a year now, I say this with all the peace and love in the world your favorite writer did not invent that au that you love so much, and they do not need you jumping to their defense in every other writer’s inbox. I promise.

I have seen so many of my friends, and myself included, receive anon hate/asks because we dared to use the same or similar aus. And for why? Aus for topics like brothers best friend, girl/boy next door, carnival, insert any profession here, are not original. I’m sorry. There have been a million and one carnival fics across hundreds of different fandoms and there will continue to be. I have read multiple Slytherin frat boy fics across multiple platforms. Bsffr.
Please for the love of god stop trying to pit writers against each other, stop trying to create drama. I firmly believe that the large majority of us who write for the Slytherin boys are mature individuals who can speak to other writers ourselves if we truly feel our work is being used inappropriately.
I love my readers, and I’m sure other writers love their readers as well. I genuinely think that it’s a lovely thing that so many of you are willing to go to bat for your favorite writers because it truly takes so much time and effort to do what we do. But that does not mean you should be tearing down some writers to lift others up.
These are real people behind the screen. Remember that when you tap that ask button.

A few general statements for the fandom:
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
And yes this applies to personal or private information you may obtain or theorize about any of the players involved. Just because you obtained it “publicly” doesn’t mean it should be shared for the whole of the fandom. Ask yourself if this was being shared about you, would you want everyone that knows you discussing it? If not, keep it to a 4-5 person group chat.
Stop villainizing Nic and Luke for not performing on your perceived timeline.
Nicola is only 38 - she’s not in a “mid life crisis” and if I hear that one more time I’m gonna pull my hair out. Luke is not a “fuckboy” because he had one HBS and dated a younger woman for a short period of his life. Just because “guys like Luke” wouldn’t date you doesn’t mean he couldn’t love Nicola. And for real, WTF does “guys like Luke” mean? Just say that you’re projection fat phobia on Nicola when she’s not even “fat.”
Follow up - Nic and Luke are not distancing themselves from Bridgerton or from each other.
Most of y’all became fans during the WT so you were so used to constant content 24/7 and unfortunately that’s over. Luke and especially Nicola are also more high profile now compared to previous seasons. BTS posting on social media is gonna be different. It has nothing to do with their thoughts toward the show or each other. They’ve both commented multiple times how much they love Bridgerton. And they’ve both commented how much they love each other. Stop creating drama just because you need a dopamine fix.
Another follow up - social media is not real life.
Y’all I don’t know them personally but I PROMISE you that Luke reached out to Nic personally and wished her happy birthday. (Hell depending on where you fall on the theory spectrum, he was the one with her at her birthday dinner and took the picture.) I will tell you that my birthday is January 8th, the day before Nic, and I had to two Instagram story posts wishing me happy birthday. TWO. And I promise you I have a lot of friends. But you know what? All of my close friends texted or called me that day and gave me personalized greetings that weren’t for the whole world to see. And - GASP - this includes friends who have posted for me multiple past years in a row. So yes, even pattern breaking doesn’t mean anything. It’s been a week so please stop dwelling on this. And if you are still upset then I have a question for you - does it equally bother you that none of the Bridgertons publicly wished Will Tilston a Happy 18th Birthday? If not, please reevaluate the reasons behind your expectations.
Stop the public bullying and ostracizing.
The public hate needs to stop. Everyone is always accusing “shippers” of being the reason why N&L seem closed off but my opinion is that if anyone in the fandom is influencing their behavior, it’s the people continuously spewing hate. I will admit I’ve been guilty of throwing down against some of the more toxic creators in this space but I’ve always felt like I was “giving a voice to the voiceless.” What we need to do is stop attacking other creators because their opinions are different than us. And yes, I’m bringing this back to “opinion” because as I said the other day - nobody knows “fact” no matter how “obvious” you think it may be. You think Antonia and Jake are their significant others? Great. You think Nic and Luke are together? Great. Until the day that there is ever a definitive answer directly from the teams of Nic or Luke, everyone is on equal playing ground. I’m sorry if that bothers you but it’s true.
Side note to all of this: if a creator is saying stuff that makes you uncomfortable just know that when you make a post complaining about it, you were in fact perpetuating that information that makes you uncomfortable and only making the visibility larger. Just keep this in mind.
And with that, I’ll take my leave for now. Let’s all take a collective deep breath and remember that these are two real people with real lives and we’re only seeing what they choose to show us. Maybe it’s time we all pick up some extra hobbies. Start playing online games with your group chat. Fun some other methods of injecting fun in your day. It’ll make the time go by and you won’t be driving yourself crazy over this fandom. Keep your heads up y’all and just keep moving forward - it’s not that serious y’all. 💛

People claiming that creating nsfw fanart/fanfic against a creator's wishes is "violating their boundaries" (or worse, "violating their consent") makes me SO MAD. Not just as someone that values fan creations but as a victim of actual sa.
Y'all, people claiming that creators have the right to dictate what sort of fanart/fanfic people create is the reason Anne Rice is so fucking hated. When you put your creation out into the public you are handing it over to be interpreted and critiqued and loved and derived from in any way people please. Death of the author means you, the author, are now dead. You DO NOT have the right to dictate what people do with your creation.
Sure, you're allowed on the most basic level to say "I'm not comfortable with people creating fanart/fanfic of my creations" or "I'm not comfortable with people creating nsfw fanart/fanfic of my creations" - no one can stop you. But no one is under any moral obligation to listen to you. That's the very basis of sites like AO3.
"B-b-but BOUNDARIES!!!" Y'all have no fucking idea what a boundary is. A boundary 1. refers to what people do/say TO YOU, not ABOUT YOU (or your creations) and 2. is not a decree about what others can or cannot do, but about what YOU will do in RESPONSE to them. "You can't create nsfw fanart/fanfic of my characters" is NOT a boundary. "If you send me nsfw fanart/fanfic of my characters, I will block you" is a boundary. Do y'all see the difference?
People creating and posting nsfw fanart/fanfic of your characters is NOT a violation of your consent. You are fully, 100% capable of and responsible for avoiding content that you are not comfortable with. If you see art or fic tagged with your characters and tagged nsfw and you click on it, you did not have your consent violated. Merely being aware that this content exists is not a violation of your consent. Being uncomfortable with the knowledge people drew your characters diddling is not fucking comparable to the trauma of being forced against your will to engage in sexual acts and it's deplorable to even entertain the thought of comparing the two.

People on the internet (especially the younger generations) are so ENTITLED these days???? I won't ever get over how shocking that is?? THE AUDACITY OF SOME OF YA'LL!!??
That shit's crazy ! And sorry, yes I'm gonna go there, but ever since younger generations, and what Fandom "elders" call the "normies" have joined Fandom spaces, I feel like they're just thinking we, as artists/content creators OWE THEM our Art 🎨 or something??? They're ruining things and spoiling all the fun out of being in a Fandom!
Just let people be!
HOW AND WHY DO YOU THINK Fandom spaces were created in the first place??
It's because people who got a little freaky needed a place to be left in peace, and find other people who had the same interests; because of that, there were forums that were created, then websites, and that's how Fandoms started.
So I'm gonna say this AS MANY TIMES AS IT TAKES!
Just let people ship WHAT THEY WANT???!!!
IT'S NOT HARMING YOU - or anybody else for that matter - IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER!
And don't give me that "PROTECCCC THEM CHiLDREnnn bull!" We aren't RESPONSIBLE for their safety on the internet!
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK:
WE 👏🏻 AREN'T 👏🏻 RESPONSIBLE 👏🏻 FOR 👏🏻OTHER 👏🏻PEOPLE'S 👏🏻CHILDREN'S SAFETY 👏🏻ON 👏🏻THE👏🏻 INTERNET !!!!
THEY HAVE parents, who DECIDED to have kids, THEY'RE the ones who are responsible for THEIR OWN CHILDREN'S safety.
And if unfortunately some of them don't have good parents, we'll it's sad, yes but that doesn't mean they're gonna automatically find Fandom spaces, and THEN become unhinged or whatnot, because of what they saw - on the off chance that they might find some things that YOU, or others consider controversial ??-
And if they do, well not my circus , not my monkeys! 🤡
If they can't differentiate between fiction and reality, I'm sorry but Darwin didn't do his job very well, and they're doomed from the start 😂 🤷🏻♀️..
AND LIKE, if I follow your skewed logic, then we should ban true crime documentaries because that MIGHT turn some people into murderers, video-games because it MIGHT turn some people violent, crime TV shows because it might give bad ideas to the wrong people?? Reality TV because it makes people DUMB AS HELL??
Like… this is RIDICULOUS and illogical as hell!!?? Your arguments aren’t even real, solid arguments — you’re just using them to serve your own little quest for… whatever the fuck it is you’re looking to prove.
The internet — and especially other people’s blogs — ISN’T SUPPOSED TO BE TAILORED TO PLEASE YOU!! It’s someone else’s space, and they can do whatever they want with it!!!
If you don't like it, just fucking block them!
I have blocked people whose content I LIKED, because some of their content made me uncomfortable; and I didn't send them weird entitled messages, or tell them "imma block you because you POST PiCtUrEs Of BuNnieS and IT MAKES Me uncomfortableeeee".
Like what the actual fuck?? The world doesn't revolve around you, and nobody NEEDS to know that you've been inconvenienced (in Fandoms) and why - you immature little shit?!!
(And I'm not saying you can't vent about something happening in your life or whatever. It's YOUR blog - BUT DON'T pollute Fandom spaces with your bull !!!)
Just MOVE ON, that's it.
Acting like the Fandom police, pretending it is to "save the children" while we ALL KNOW you only harass people because you think you're entitled to other people's fanfictions, art and other content being tailored to YOUR own tastes, and - GOD FORBID an artist that you thought was talented, starts to draw something that upsets you!-
Because yeah, "THAT'S NOT RIGHT, THEY CAN'T SHIP THAT THING - THAT YOU HATE - THEY'RE ONLY ALLOWED TO MAKE ART THAT YOU WANT THEM TO MAKE!! AND THEY CAN'T DO THINGS JUST BECAUSE THEY LIKE THEM" Yeah, yeah...
GOD FORBID SOMEBODY JUST WANTS TO HAVE FUN ON THE INTERNET - AND DO THEIR OWN LITTLE THING IN THEIR OWN LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD - RIGHT??
Right...?
Well. NO! It doesn't work like that!
You need to get your fragile little ego in check! THE WORLD ISN'T FAIR, it's NOT made to PLEASE YOU, it DOESN'T revolve around YOU and only you, and you GOTTA LEARN that this entitlement, this AUDACITY, isn't gonna get you far in life if you keep going about things that way (and hiding behind anon messages makes you feel powerful, I know, I know) but try that shit in real life and see where it takes you... 🤡
If an Artist , or fic Writer, or content Creator wants to suddenly change Fandoms, they CAN, and they WILL.
Is it sad? - Yes - Should you say anything about it? FUCK NO, should you keep supporting them through their newest hyperfixation? Yes, but do you have to? Absolutely NOT. You can move on, un-follow or even block them!
I have had my favorite artist follow the same hyperfixations as me for like ten years and then suddenly get into something that I ABSOLUTELY HATED! And you know what I did? I kept supporting them when I could. That's it! And I'm not saying YOU should absolutely do that despite hating someone's content, because YOUR internet experience should feel safe to you, so I'm just saying that's just ONE WAY to go about things. You can just mute /block.
If they change Fandoms, just let them, if they want to ship something you hate? Same thing.
If they say something you don't agree with?? JUST. LET. THEM. It's THEIR blog, THEIR own life and choices, and it's not because someone has a kink you deem weird or ships two brothers, or siblings or whatever, as strange as it may be to you, or has, idk a pee kink, a blood kink, or WHATEVER, that you're supposed to bother them about it????
And, come on guys, let's be real for a minute, life is HARD enough as it is, we don't need our safe spaces, where we feel welcome and free to be our freaky little selves, and have fun and SHARE our creative works for FREE, to be polluted by people like you who have no concept of free will, and decided that they should ONLY be doing things you want them to do, and be policed by assholes on their safe spaces!
JUST LET THEM BE!! DON'T INTERACT!
I have gotten SO MUCH HATE in the past couple of months, JUST for speaking my mind and defending other artists - and apparently liking some of their posts too? Which is FUCKING RIDICULOUS!?? -
But you know what?? I WILL CONTINUE TO DEFEND THEM for -FUCKING- EVER!!!
I don’t CARE what you ship, what kink you’re into, or if you ship yourself with a fictional character — and, yeah!!
Let’s go there too 😏 since apparently some of y’all need a taste of your own medicine!??
(IMPORTANT NOTE: I have STRICTLY NOTHING against self shippers, I'm just addressing the issue that A HUGE CHUNK of the people attacking other fans in Fandom spaces think the only way to enjoy a character is self-shipping and that these characters BELONG to them somehow??)
Some of ya'll self-shippers keep ANNOYING others for doing exactly that — shipping, enjoying their own thing — and for what???
(Not talking about all self-shippers, because you opened minded peeps are AMAZING and lovely and I'm SO grateful for your presence in Fandoms!)
And I'm just gonna leave this HERE BUT,
I HAVE SEEN SOME OF YOU, be HELLAAAAA into Daddy kink, but then, when other people ship two brothers or siblings, or half brothers or cousins or - whatever - YOU ACT ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY?? THERE'S LITERALLY NO DIFFERENCE??!! 😂
LIKE, double standards, much???
Back in the good old fandom days, (yeah, yeah, granny ghastly's back at it with the good old days) this kind of shipping wasn’t even that common, it was actually the odd one out, and people would think it was weird and cringe as HELL, but you know what??? Nobody BOTHERED THEM!!! And NOBODY BOTHERS YOU now!? YOU DO YOU.
Meanwhile, here we are, NORMAL(ish 😂) people, who actually get what it’s like to just want to ship something and be left alone to enjoy our own little corner of the fandom in peace. AND we don't BOTHER YOU! We just LEAVE YOU ALONE to enjoy your weird little corner of the internet! BUT YOU ATTACK US /THEM for liking something you don't?? (including myself in there because apparently supporting other's free will to do what they want gets you as much hate as actually doing the thing).
JUST SHOW THE SAME COURTESY.
The internet is big enough for EVERYBODY.
To me, truly if you ship SIBLINGS TOGETHER OR ANYTHING ! IF IT IS FICTION, ANYTHING GOES! HAVE FUN, who am I — WHO IS ANYBODY — to stop you or decide you can't ?!!
Do I like everything I see on the internet?? CERTAINLY NOT, do I go out of my way to just go and bother people because I'm an entitled little Bitch???? NOPE, I DO NOT!
And you know what, it doesn't kill me, I'm still okay decades later. Everything's fine. Fanfiction sites have functions for blocking tags that revolt you, and LEARN TO USE THEM G-dammit.
AND Tumblr has a mute function AND A BLOCK FUNCTION, HOW COOL IS THAT???? ✨
JUST FUCKING use them and shut your cakehole. And go eat some cookies if you're into that, who am I to stop you!?
Now imma go back to supporting EVERYONE in the Fandoms that I'm into, and enjoy their art, and fanfictions, no matter if it's my cup of tea, or not.
Because THAT'S what you're supposed to do in Fandom spaces, SUPPORT EACH OTHER ✨ (or just BLOCK THEM).
Have a NICE DAY! 🩷
(Ps : Sorry I didn't check for mistakes or reread myself!)

This blog has been through so many themes and fandoms, but one fandom that actually gave me purpose to start creating things and not just reblog stuff left and right was the stucky fandom, even when it was marvel as a whole at first, i never had the urge to try creating things, it was all thanks to stucky, it's been years and still nothing inspires me the way stucky does, maybe it is also thanks to evanstan, i mean they're both connected one way or another and i am always devoted to the actors and their characters.... so to expect me to change my ways just because of a bad writing decision in a movie that was out 6 years ago then you really don't know me nor how fandom works, fandom is never about canon only, because where is the fun if it was just strictly canon?? Like how boring it would be if it was just canon??
What I'm trying to say, i will defend steve and bucky and their friendship and their dynamic and the ship until the last day I live!! You can't come to my dms or inbox or even under my posts here or on twitter and be like "oh but this would have been better if it was with x or y" no sweetheart, my stuff is and will always be about steve and bucky and if you think otherwise you can get off your ass and make your own with whoever you want and however you want!!! I am so sick and tired of this bs and this unnecessary and forced steve and chris hate under my own stuff, you have a platform yourself you can express whatever you want and it's your right, but you don't have the right to do so under other people's posts, especially when it's edits or fics or anything that takes time and effort, you don't like something move on, you want something similar with your fandom and ship, create it, you can't? Look for content creators within your fandom/ship and request! Stop being insecure about your ship and maybe start making and creating stuff, it's much better and easier than being an asshole and shitting on other people's preferences.
I'm sorry I just had enough and I've been getting lots of comments and messages that a certain ship is superior than stucky when all i do is mind my business and enjoy my things and my ship!

Fandom Problem #8031:
Finding a post critisizing Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss and clicking on the account to see what else they've posted... and immediately finding a post going "god, I hate Vivziepop so much, I hope she dies"...
Not liking a show is one thing. Not liking a creator of a show is fine (though I think a lot of whats used against her is easily disproven). But wishing death on a human being because you don't like them is a whole other thing. Saying you hope a living person dies because you personally don't like them is a different fucking thing than critisizing the content they make. And the fact that I have seen multiple people say shit like this is insane. Do people think this is okay? Because if you ever confront them, they'll just say "it's a joke", and they don't really mean it. Then maybe don't say it? Why are you saying it in the first place? Do you think it's funny to wish death on someone? Why? Why have I seen multiple people say shit like this? What the fuck?
It's not just with Vivziepop, I've seen people say shit like this about creators and celebrities multiple times. If you don't like someone, and have critisism of who they are or what they've created, then just critisize it. Or just go spend your time thinking about something that makes you happy instead of spending your free time hating on something. I think just doing that would improve all of our lives.

Do you think it's a good idea to talk about plurality (and alterhumanity) on social media? Not in an educational manner, but just as a fact (similar to how some YouTubers will be talking about something but casually mention they're gay or talk about LGBT and queer issues) while it not being the focus of their channel? Do you think it's a good idea to talk about the drama of the community, too? Or keep it strictly neutral?
Absolutely!
I mean, it's obviously risky on a personal level. Because it DOES open you up to receiving hate. But it's good to have people just talking about plurality to help normalize it.
A lot of the plural content creators focus on their plurality as their main selling point. Which is great. It's great to have content creators that are plural and talk a lot about being plural. But it's also helpful to have some content creators who just happen to be plural without making that the entire focus of the content they create.
