After the events of the Firefly Festival, Regulus actually felt rather fine about going out in public again. He'd spent years hiding within the walls of Grimmauld Place, but now knowing that he wouldn't be harmed for being a public traitor, he felt better. Although he still felt quite uneasy about his run-in with Bellatrix, he at least knew that she wasn't going to out-right murder him. Not when others were around, anyway.

So, he'd been making an effort to go out more often. Always making sure he was in a public place, it made him feel better. Wanting some new clothes, Regulus found himself in Twilfitt and Tattings, a shop he'd not been to in years. He was browsing the men's section when the front door to the shop opened, and he watched as his cousin entered the shop. Regulus quickly turned around, pretending he hadn't seen her while hoping she hadn't noticed him.

Favorite character: Hard one but I think I'd go with Arthur Weasley

Least Favorite character: The Marauders. This is more an issue with Rowling's writing, setting them up as shining figures for Harry (except for quiet one-dimensional Wormtail) but then muddling with actions of straight up harrassement and bullying, allowing bullying to happen, later neglectful and selfish behavior. the narrative, even outside Harry's perspective, tries to characterize them as still shining figures, when I think so each individually did makes it so weird how highly every character around them speaks of them. Especially James but maybe he's your typical jock who gets away with harassment, even of his love interest, and the narrative doesn't adress that. *shrugs*

a random thought: Ok, but since when does run know that Malfoy owns a Hand of Glory? He brings it up in the Halfblood Prince, and I couldn't find any indication in the text that Draco actually bought it, let alone letting Ron know that he owns one?

An unpopular opinion: There's a lot of talk how the movies screwed up Ron although I feel up from Order of the Phoenix, Rowling gave Hermoine the emotional intelligence Ron actually had, lowering his intelligence, and basically didn't know how to involve him properly in the plot anymore. Don't get me wrong, I like Hermoine but I have the impression that the books were too influenced by the movie tweaks of making her more charismatic on top of being brilliant and hardworking. Not that becoming more socially competent shouldn't be a goal for her, social inaptness was her biggest flaw, yet that quality was stripped form Ron.

When I started shipping them: Roughly after reading ASOS, at Catelyn clutching the flayed skin of Theon's finger.

My thoughts: It's all about the angst, the friendship that was so genuine, Robb's fatal decision as a king to put his trust in his only friend, the deep, deep regret, the underlying unhappiness of Theon muddling the water between them....

What makes me happy about them: Robb and Theon both actually had no friends in their age. For Theon feeling so isolated, who actually never had a warm home or someone to comfort him except for Dagmer, there was Robb. Someone with whom Theon would actually like to talk about the Iron Islands and personal stories, and one of the few people with whom Robb could be himself.

What makes me sad about them: "Where was I? I should have been with him? I should have died with him."

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: The white washing of Robb's personality. Whereas Theon can be a wreck, Robb is always the eternal, spotless sunshine as in every bland wishfullfillment story. Basically Robb is there to fix Theon.

Things I look for in fanfic: Angst! Robb with a fleshed out personality!

My wishlist: Just for the angst: Theon meets Rickon when he's grown up and Theon is shaken to the bone how similar Rickon looks to Robb. Or worse: If Theon was to marry Sansa, the fact of them looking similiar to wach other leads to unsettling projections on her.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Robb was to marry Alys Karstark who by personality probably would've been good to contrast with Robb's domineering streak and moody moments. The match made in hell, serving Theon's MILF interest in the worst way, Theon and Cersei lives rent free in the back of my mind. No actually, Theon marrying Sansa could've been a likely outcome to secure peace the North and the Iron Islands. (Although, for my dear girl's sake, I hope Theon gains some empathy for women before they ever get married.)

My happily ever after for them: Robb had never sent Theon away, the Red Wedding couldn't have been orchestrated. Even after the Iron Born raid the Northern shore (as it is implied at Theon's arrival, Balon already readied vessels, no matter if Theon lived or not), Theon and Asha can secretly create a treaty overruling Balon's decreet and gain the Iron fleet for the support of the North. Even though Robb and Theon each are to marry a woman, they'd come together as often as they can.

How I feel about this character: He's so funny. Before he was the sheepish, barely noticed archivist of the trio, and at some point he collected girlfriends like Ü-eggs and charms every girl they need to talk to for investigations. Like all the three ???, I like him.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: None really, although the episodes with the evil psychiatrist give me strong Mrs. Robinson associations.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: His father. They seem to be on really great terms by the way the way Bob wants to follow him into his journalism career, and is constantly supported by his father during research.

My unpopular opinion about this character: He has a lot of unnoticed qualities which may not be prominently noticed yet flesh out the trio's dynamic quiet nicely. If it wasn't for the amazing dynamic between the voice actors, on paper Bob would've had remained incredibly unnoticable from all the three. It's a fun idea of Fröhlich's to turn him into the one with common sense whereas both Justus and Peter tend to have some sleeping criminal energy in them. (Justus is ready to do a lot of things "for science", Peter has no concept of neither property law nor unpicked locks.) He also adds a lot of human element when talking to clients which Justus and Peter both tend to neglect.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: In one episode his VW beetle gets badly damaged. I demand confirmation of an old timer loving mechanic fixing up the poor thing!

Favorite friendship for this character: Morton, Justus, and Peter, obviously

How I feel about this character - I personally love Bellatrix.  I think she’s great.  Completely unhinged after Azkaban, only slightly unhinged before Azkaban.  But I adore her.

All the people I ship romantically with this character - Probably just Voldy really.

My non-romantic OTP for this character - Narcissa.  I really love exploring their relationship.  I think Bellatrix may seem like the cold, unfeeling older sister, but in reality, and especially with Narcissa, she can be a real softie.  She loves Narcissa probably more than she loves anyone, and she’d always protect her.

My unpopular opinion about this character - She didn’t always hate Sirius.  When he was born she was ecstatic - a BOY.  She was so used to girls because of her sisters, but now she had a baby boy who she could play with and talk to about ungirly things that didn’t make her want to vomit, but then Sirius got older and she realised she preferred girls after all.

One thing I wish would have happened with this character in canon - I’m not the biggest fan of Cursed Child but I do accept it as canon mainly for Scorbus.  So assuming Cursed Child is canon, then she had a baby with Voldemort.  I would have loved to see some sort of romantic/sexual relationship between them.  We didn’t really get any hints towards that in canon, and I would have liked to see that.

My OTP - If it isn’t obvious from my previous answers, Bellamort.  

My cross over ship - I don’t really have one, but let’s just make one up.  Bellatrix/Ramsay Bolton.  They’re both crazy and enjoy torture.  And I love them both.

A headcanon fact - Bellatrix never slept with her husband once.

Favorite character:  Bellatrix Lestrange and Voldemort. No, I don’t have one favourite. Bella is the closest to my heart, but apparently I waste the most brainmatter on Tom/Voldemort, so *shrugs* Harry is my favourite light character, he’s an admirable person.

Least Favorite character:  Umbridge, as is universally accepted.

a random thought: The wizarding world makes zero sense in so many places. They haven’t had an Industrial Revolution and they seem to be stuck in the Middle Ages in many ways, even if they dont seem extremely Christian as these times actually were. It’s really confusing. As for their economy? How does that even work if you can conjure a chair out of thin air, or replicate food? 

An unpopular opinion:  Idk what’s unpopular these days. Aside from Albus’ name, I actually liked the Epilogue. In contrast to what people thing, it doesn;t show *everything* that happened after the war, meaning it’s no obliged to show the PTSD and the fights and the pain. It just passes the message: depsite everything, in the end they were happy. Not always and not easily, but they lived, and built and did good. And that’s not always possible with survivors. It’s our job as fans to add the rest, all the author needed to do was say ‘yes, they made it out okay.”

My Canon OTP: BELLAMORT Seriously, I have screenshoted the details of TCC where it shows they’re canon. 

My Non-canon OTP: Harry/Delphi

Most Badass Character: Bellatrix, handsdown.  McGonagall out of the good people. 

Most Epic Villain: Voldemort, we’d have no books without him. He can be dumb, but it’s cute.

Pairing I am not a fan of: I’m not huge in non-canon Hermione ships, and anything with Snape is gross.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): ...Snape? Not his character, but the light she gave him by naming Harry’s kid after him. It appeared she was clear on him not being an admirable person, but then he’s the bravest bloke ever? No, ma’am. 

Favourite Friendship: The Golden Trio, they work as a three-man-group better, I won’t devide them. 

Character I most identify with: PostAzkaban!Bellatrix feels she’s letting her master and herself down, and so do it. I keep looking for my former self. Who wasn’t much after all, but had some qualities I should recultivate. 

Character I wish I could be: ... I’d like to have some Bellamort qualities that I lack, but in general I’m fine working on myself.

When I started shipping them:  After I finished the books, so that’s since 2007, 13 cool, angsty years. 

My thoughts: I love them, they’re my evil babies. In fact, I don’t even have reasons for loving them, as most shippers do, I’d just die for them. 

What makes me happy about them: That theyre complicately made for each other in their unique goth way. And that in the end they had a kid, which I think helped Voldemort out a lot with his issues with intimacy and emotions. 

What makes me sad about them:  That they died *sobs hysterically*. Also that they’re proud idiots who don’t communicate well. Also in the books they have like two scenes together. (HE SCREAMED THO)

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Seeing Bella’s character butchered down to a snivelling, slavish idiot, though these aren’t Bellamort fics usually.  In Bellamort fics, it feels like a cheat when it says Bellamort but it’s just Bella pining and Voldemort really not caring. I don’t have a problem with the POV, but it needs to be tagged as unrequited. Otherwise I’m open to perspectives. 

Things I look for in fanfic: Good writing, mostly. I’m also a huge fan of Muggle!AU’s, so if you have that, I’ll read it, no questions asked XD

My wishlist: On Amazon? :P I presume this means wishlist on fics/art with these two, but do correct me if I’m wrong. I dont have one, since I write myself, so whatever I want to read, I write. Right now I’m on a bit of a writing hiatus (but don’t take my word for it, my emotional world is fucking rollercoaster), but at some point I’d like to see a mermaid!AU and a lot of exploration between Voldemort and his mother, while Bella holds his hand. 

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Alone and miserable. I guess Bella would have been okay with Rodolphus, had Tom/Voldemort never been born.  And Voldemort/Tom would have been fine too with some nameless pretty woman he did not love but had to marry to keep face.  But I think that they would have never been truly happy with anyone else. especially Tom, he’d never be really comfortable with anyone. 

My happily ever after for them: VoldemortWins!AU, they conquer Europe, Bella is Minister for War, Voldemort the Emperor. Maybe they have a kid, maybe a couple more or none at all, who cares, the point is they live and fulfull their dreams of revolutionising the Wizarding Wolrd.  I also have a sappy afterlife!AU where for a while Bella is imprisoned at the family castle for having a halfblood little bastard, goes half-insane, as Voldemort searches for her (they had a spat right after they got there), and Delphi kills herself and goes to find her dad in small-child form. They finally get tgether and live death happily ever after in some Norwegian fjord in the frozen tundra. (it’s also my personal happy ending, only it’s cats and snakes)

How I feel about this character: I love Bella. She’s a bitch and a sadist, but I love her. 

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: The one and only, his majesty the Dark Lord himself. 

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Rodolphus, he’s her only friend.  Also, sad HC: Bella was very close to Andromeda until she got too involved with Voldemort and his cause, and they drifted apart. No one wept harder than Bella after Andy left, and it was her who spent days banging on the Tonks’ door to let them speak to her. My unpopular opinion about this character: Again, not sure about unpopular.  I believe she suffers from genuine mental illness that tortures her a lot and makes her life (and her shared life with Voldemort too) very hard. Also I find her more self-doubting and reserved than most authors, hard working and largely indifferent to people who aren’t Voldemort. 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Actual romantic scene would have been nice, but HE SCREAMED after all. Let’s not ask for too much. 

Favorite friendship for this character: Rodolphus and Andromeda. Recently I’ve started Brotp-ing Sirius with Bella too, before they parted ways. 

My crossover ship: I don’t really have any other fandoms, but I have been exploring the world of the Witcher as of late, so I’d love a showdown between Bella and Yen. It’d be so hot.

headcanon 002. andromeda black.

It’s true that Corvus made it very clear that relationships and love would only get in the way of the big picture. But that doesn’t mean a person can stop their feelings, especially at a young age.

The Lestrange family was always close to the Blacks. The boys would be seen at the Black manor while Corvus and Clarrise made their weekly visits to discuss — well, that was kept from the children which meant the five spent their time together.

While Rodolphus and Bellatrix were the same age, the eldest and already similar, Rodolphus saw her as more of a peer than anything else. She was the one Rodolphus spoke to as an equal.

Then there was Andromeda. There was something about her Rodolphus enjoyed. She was different than Bellatrix and Narcissa. Before he knew it, Rodolphus found himself having a crush on the middle daughter. It made him uncomfortable because of his upbringing but couldn’t help himself. He would flirt — with his arrogance he didn’t quite know how to use yet — with her but with no success.

As he grew older, Rodolphus officially learned how to put his emotions aside. It wasn’t worth his time and he stopped caring. However, when he would see her out and about, he couldn’t stop himself from using the arrogance he finally had a firm grasp on. Now it was more for his amusement than expectation.

There would never be a Rodolphus and Andromeda.

The wizarding world makes zero sense in so many places. They haven’t had an Industrial Revolution, meaning they haven’t known first hand the new ideas that came with it, and they seem to be stuck in the Middle Ages in many ways, even if they dont seem extremely Christian as these times actually were. We know little about the political system and their beliefs are so random. It’s really confusing.

An unpopular opinion:

Idk what’s unpopular these days. Aside from Albus’ name, I actually liked the Epilogue.

It showed what we needed to know: that Harry and the rest made it out okay. They found the courage to face their destroyed community and rebuild, even though they had gone through enough during the war. I think JKR said it herself in an interview how important rebuilding is after a catastrophe, how it can daunt even the bravest people. The miracles of Japan and Germany bouncing back and better after WWII are relevant real-life examples here. 

A married Harry, enthusiastic about hugging his kids goodbye on their first day of school, a day that to him symbolises a new beginning, is the greatest gift and it does not erase the pain he might feel every day for going through hell in his early life. In fact, it’s this snipet of normalcy what he craved as a boy and refused to daydream about because its weight would be too much,and now he gets to have it. Along with the nightmares and the PTSD and the new challenges yes, but now, in this moment, as he waves to the new generation that he helped create, he’s safe, loved and happy. He deserves it. 

Second unpopular opinion: I don’t give a damn if McGonagall’s timeline is screwed up by bringing her to life in the 20′s. Didn’t really matter to the story before and she’s a freaking badass and comic relief, which is the best combo ever. Is it fan-bating or whatever it was called? Sure. But if she makes the story better with her presense I give minus two fucks about when JKR originally said she was born (also, newsflash: people have the right to change HC’s, especially people who don’t shit about maths, like our dear creator)

…Snape? Not his character, but the positive light she gave him by naming Harry’s kid after him. It appeared she was clear on him not being an admirable person, but then he’s the bravest bloke ever? No, ma’am.

On a Fantastic Beasts note, I do hope they handle the backstories of all characters well. We’ll surely get back to this after the FB series are over.

The Golden Trio, they work as a three-man-group better, I won’t devide them. Also, as a part-time writer I have to admire how the writing and dynamics were handled, it’s so hard to think as more than one person, not to mention three!

PostAzkaban!Bellatrix feels she’s letting her master and herself down, and so do I. I keep looking for my former self. Who wasn’t much after all, but had some qualities I should recultivate.

When I started shipping them:

After I finished the books, so that’s since 2007. 12 cool, angsty years. 

My thoughts:

I love them, they’re my evil babies. In fact, I don’t even have reasons for loving them, as most shippers do, I’d just die for them, end of reasoning.

What makes me happy about them:

That they’re complicately made for each other in their unique goth way. And that in the end they had a kid, which I think helped Voldemort out a lot with his issues with intimacy and emotions.

What makes me sad about them:

That they died *sobs hysterically*.

Also in the books they have like two scenes together. (HE SCREAMED THO)

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

Seeing Bella’s character butchered down to a snivelling, slavish idiot, though these aren’t Bellamort fics usually.

In Bellamort fics, it feels like a cheat when it says Bellamort but it’s just Bella pining and Voldemort really not caring. I don’t have a problem with the POV, but it needs to be tagged as unrequited. Otherwise I’m open to perspectives.

Things I look for in fanfic:

Good writing, mostly.

I’m also a huge fan of Muggle!AU’s, so if you have that, I’ll read it, no questions asked XD

My wishlist:

I presume this means wishlist on fics/art with these two, but do correct me if I’m wrong. I dont have one, since I write myself, so whatever I want to read, I write. Right now I’m eager to finish the following Bellamort fics:

1. Harry finds out about Bellamort via looking through Voldy’s stuff.

2. BellaDiesButVoldyWins!AU

3. Voldemort discovers his breastfeeding kink

4. A therewasonlyonebed!fic 

5. Tomarry turns Bellamort in Easter setting, Muggle!AU, Harry wets himself in the process

In general I’d say I’d like to see more classic, tropy fanfics with these two, lighter ones, you know. Angst is great, but let us enjoy the coffeeshop!AU too.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Alone and miserable.

I guess Bella would have been okay with Rodolphus, had Tom/Voldemort never been born.

And Voldemort/Tom would have been fine too with some nameless pretty woman he did not love but had to marry to keep face.

But I think that they would have never been truly happy with anyone else. especially Tom, he’d never be really comfortable with anyone.

My happily ever after for them:

VoldemortWins!AU, they conquer Europe, Bella is Minister for War, Voldemort the Emperor. Maybe they have a kid, maybe a couple more or none at all, who cares, the point is they live and fulfull their dreams of revolutionising the Wizarding Wolrd.

I also have a sappy afterlife!AU where for a while Bella is imprisoned at the family castle for having a halfblood little bastard, goes half-insane as Voldemort seacrhes for her (they had a spat right after they got there), and Delphi kills herself and goes to find her dad in small-child form. They finally get tgether and live deathly ever after in some Norwegian fjord in the frozen tundra. (it’s also my personal happy ending, only it’s cats and snakes)
