Imagine spending a cloudy day on the beach with Benedict Cumberbatch.

The weather was a lot more overcast than the weather report had predicted, but Benedict suggested that you go out nonetheless. There was no rain, the clouds weren’t dark enough to threaten that happening, and the wind was slightly gusty but nevertheless - you put on a warm jacket and headed down to the beach with a bottle of wine and some sandwiches for a day out with your love.

The beach wasn’t busy by any means, just a few stray people - mostly walking their dogs along the length of the shore - so the two of you felt completely isolated and comfortable with that. You were always lost in your own world when you were around Benedict, anyhow.

There was nothing more important than him in it, as far as you were concerned.

He opened up the bottle of wine, he poured you a glass and he looked around as the wind started to pick up a little. Still no complaints. You took a sip of your wine and Benedict did the same with his, and you found peace in your little corner of the beach with the man that you love and the sound of soft waves lapping on the shore.

but that’s usually what happens to old people........ kidding, kidding! my mom would kick my ass if she heard me say that. which of your projects got nominated? congrats!! being nominated for the oscar’s must be one of the biggest achievements ever, at least career wise. hey Benedict, i will call you Ben cause your surname is just too hard, I’m Zoey Deutch.

When I heard about my Oscar nomination the other day, I was sat at breakfast with my three boys, trying to get them ready for the school run. Of course, them all being young kids, they had no idea what a huge deal it was for me. So whilst I sat there giggling like an idiot and getting a little teary-eyed, they just looked at me like “what the fuck, dad?” Not quite as exciting as some other nomination stories, I’m sure, but it feels like an accurate summary of my life.

ALCOHOL AND TIES - PART 03

- Benedict dear friend, are you fin.. Oh, I am so sorry, I did not know you have a guest, I just came to warn you, some paparazzi seem to have forced the hotel entrance and they are coming, you better lock your door!

I could easily recognize his voice, but neither of we three had time to do much more in the following seconds: Benedict, still only wearing a bath towel, was holding the door with one hand, and with the other he was holding my hand, trying to stop me from going, I was so confused looking at him, his friend just had time to close his door, an in one second our eyes met. I felt a gentle breeze pass through my body, stirring me with its temperature as it soothes me. As if that look had already fallen on me several times, as if that look owned me. Everything happened so fast that I didn't have the chance to see who that was.

All the sudden, 10 paparazzi came up from the elevator and start taking pictures and more pictures of us. Benedict closed the door; we were just staring at each other, our breaths became panting in a matter of seconds, I was startled, my eyes wide open momentarily blinded by the camera flashes.

I couldn't talk. I know that a famous person life it is like that, but anyway I was way too scared. Benedict was bothered by the pictures but didn’t care too much. He walked into the bathroom to change his clothes. In this meantime, I left. Knowing full well that I didn't want to get involved in any of this. Knowing I would come back for that look. But not knowing it would be so soon.

Monday morning paper just came in, with this big “news”: “DID BENEDICTC FINALLY FOUND HIS PRINCESS?”, “WILL BE SHE THE GIRL WHO WILL SAVE HIM FROM BAD ROLES AND ALCOHOL?”, “WHO IS THE NEW CUMBERBATCH LADY? IS SHE A KEEPER OR JUST ANOTHER NIGHTSTAND?” – I was chocked, more about all those things I didn’t knew about Benedict “ruined life”, than what they published about us.

Where his life took that devious turn? Was I under a rock for that long? Yeah, probably yeah. I spent all the weekend doing nothing. Everything that happened was so surreal that I needed time to absorb it all. Sometimes I couldn't believe I have met Benedict. He was an idol for me for so long (despite the time I ignore all things and lost track of the word around me).

Finally, I decided to go back to my normal life. I had a week to plan, work to do, laundry to wash... All that normal stuff. I reached to my purse to get my phone. Had been a while since I last checked my e-mails and my social media. And then there it was, or better, wasn’t. I had forgot my phone in Benedict hotel room.

While I was torn between my feelings of being happy to have to go back there and being afraid to do the same, a big black car with tinted windows pulled up in front of my house. I was too busy drowning in self-pity to notice, it wasn't until three loud bangles crashed through my door that I noticed. In fifteenI was back in the hotel.

It was very unclear to me why Benedict was staying at that hotel, since knew he owned a had house in the city. I, with no shame at all, asked the serious-faced man that was driving me.

- Hi, I am Elizabeth - I said while he kept his serious face. He was a middle-aged man, with gentle eyes, skin color of olive and small lips. - He nodded, letting me know he already knew who I was, and maybe more. - What is your name?

Very shortly and without making the conversation any longer that it needed to be, he replied - Richard.

- Oh, hi Richard. That is a beautiful name. Thanks for picking me up and driving me so safe. -I began to realize he was letting go of his frowning face. - Could you please kill my curiosity and tell me why is Benedict staying at a hotel? Doesn’t he have a house in the city?

- You know what, this bugged me for a while too. So, I finally figured it out. Mr. Cumberbatch and his good friend Mr. Hiddleston are in some kind of bonding experience for a role they will play of two brothers. I don’t think the filming will start any soon, but they want to prepare for it. Accordingly, to Mr. Cumberbatch, they are going to stay at the hotel for at least one year. Well look at me talking that much. Here were are miss, let me open the door for you.

I didn’t have the time to process the difference from Richard after and before I talked to him. I didn’t even saw the hotel at our site, and when he came to open the door for me, the only words that found its ways out of my mouth was:

- Hiddleston? Tom Hiddleston? – I felt that my knees were giving up. That was the look that pierced my soul and left a sweet taste in my lips. It was so obvious, how I didn't realized that before. Richard just smiled at me and closed the car door.

Yes, is the same. Never changed it, never will. (at least I think so… lol)

I don't have this in my settings and I will damn well change it if it shows up because I already despite Twitter and FB's algorithms. But really, this change will make people stop blogging altogether? Are notes the only reason you're here?

I put a lot of work in my edits and gifs. Of course I make these because I like to make them, but I also want my work to be appreciated, and this new function of tumblr is a sort of barrier between creators and their potential audience. Only popular posts get the top spots, which makes it nearly impossible for new creators to get noticed. How can algorithms decide what is the ‘best stuff’?! So many great artists will be downgraded by a stupid algorithm even though their work is so so so good.

And yes, I like it when I see my own post with a lot of notes, because it is a appreciation of my hard work. Therefore, now that I see only 10% of the response I used to get on my work, I do find tumblr a much less enjoyable place. And yes, that is reason for me to leave.
