Author's Note:

This is a post-canon, non-linear fic full of vignettes and missing scenes exploring Ben and his relationships. There are also three poems between chapters with alt text.

One of the big themes I wanted to explore was Christianity and how it may have played a role in Ben's life. I also wanted to discuss his two mothers, Rebecca and Sarah. This is a love letter to: DS9, Ben Sisko, Avery Brooks. I have roots in New Orleans so it's really close to my heart.

I wanted to do something different and experimental. I also fought tooth and nail to keep it from being explicit so I could keep it rated Teen and accessible to everyone. But it is hinted that Ben is a munch so god speed and god bless.
